Where ARE recent reviews? July 2013 is not Recent

By Art_L0ver |

Now this is a first for me.......the reviews for P.F.Chang's at the Arboretum have disappeared....does that mean that Trip Advisor is hiding recent reviews? Or did PFChangs remove them......? Either way.........misleading information from a site that is supposed to guide the public with honest facts and/or opinions from experienced folks. My December Review is G O N E~!

Enjoyed!

By I8025IKdonnal |

We enjoyed our meal; didn’t come right the and they made the corrections happily and with apologies. It was cooked the way we wanted it; waiters and staff are friendly and accommodating; food is good, atmosphere is happy and it is easy to enjoy your friends. Would definitely return to this locations.

Good Americanized version of Asian food

By Anup Kumar G |

I went there twice on my recent trip to Austin. Being vegetarian (no meat/fish) my choices do get limited, however, still there are items on the menu which are good. The potion sizes are large, so, do take that into account when ordering. Beer selection is good. The service is prompt and non-intrusive.

Amazing food

By Super S |

I went here with my great aunt and I got Kung Pow chicken and egg drop soup, it was great. After we got the Great Wall of chocolate which was the best cake I have ever tried. I hope I can come back soon!

Went with a crew

By WednesdayNightGirl |

We went to celebrate UT graduation last weekend (That's the University of Texas, for you out-of-staters). We had a larger group and were seated at a table near the kitchen. Eh. But on a crowded crazy Saturday night in Austin there was nothing to do about it (yes, we had a reservation). Everyone enjoyed their meal -- I had the moo goo gai pan. It was actually quite good -- lots of chicken and some shrimp, too. My main disappointment is the atmosphere. It's so loud in there you can barely hear the person next to you. Our wait staff was attentive and fun, though and made our evening enjoyable.

Age is showing

P.F. Chang's is just about the only Chinese restaurant my husband likes, considering he doesn't like Chinese food in general. I often meet friends there for lunch. No matter what is on the menu, I usually get the chicken lettuce wraps. Many other dishes are too hot/spicey or pricey for me. Their spring rolls are also good. This place has been here quite a while, but has not refreshed its menu or atmosphere. That may bother some people....

Great food

By Bill K |

I got the crispy chicken (sub tofu) and it was spectacular! If you are vegetarian get this. It is amazing. My wife got the thai vegetarian dish and it was good. The spicy green beans were VERY spicy but delicious. The rice was perfect and my carnivore friends (Mongolian beef and the orange chicken) and they said it was wonderful. Our waiter was pleasant but not obsequious. (Ryan) Too much food to get desert.

A very attentive server

By reise-tanta-di |

My friend and I ordered a vegetarian meal - rice noodle soup with vegetables and a tofu dish. The dishes were large enough so that we could share and the portions were nicely presented and tasty. Our server were extraordinary attentive and efficient. I recommend the restaurant.

PF Chang's in Austin

By 305E40th4J |

We watched a movie at a nearby theatre ("Boy Erased" -- very good) and we chose to try PF Chang's, as we had had a very good lunch a few months back at a PF Chang's outside of Hartford (CT). There was ample parking. We did not have a reservation, but were seated at a nice table. The physical space is truly lovely -- a stunning, modern dining room. We had a very nice server, although a bit shy. We ordered three items -- the sushi kept being delayed (for unknown reasons, which distressed the server; we finally canceled the sushi); and two main courses. We were not awed by the food -- it wasn't as good as we had expected, although the portion size was fairly large. The acid test: would I go back? Again, it is a lovely venue; the service was good; perhaps we would go back but choose different entrees.Long story short, if I were in Austin again, I would probably go back one more time, but would hope for better-quality food.

Great dinner break

By jojogo2 |

We were staying at the near-by Renaissance Hotel about two blocks walk. My wife thinks the lettuce wraps are great if U do not want a complete meal, and I agree, whereas I had the almont-cashew chicken and along with the rice plenty. Our server was great the food was as good as I could ask for, we had a short wait on a Thursday night, they were very busy but we never felt like we had to ask for attention. Their menu is quite extensive so go eat your heart out and enjoy.

Rough.

By Austin A |

Four of us dined here for a birthday dinner. I had the Mongolian Beef, Wife had the fried avocado rolls, daughter and son in law both had combo/fried rice. The Mongolian Beef was like rubber, and extremely tough to chew. The avocado rolls were extremely tart, and the combo/fried rice dishes were between cool and warm, as well as the Mongolian Beef. Last time I/we ate there was around 5 years ago. Figured things would have changed by now. Things have not changed, in fact probably worse. Will not go back, and will not recommend.

Great food

By Lyndi T |

We came to PfChang to celebrate Chinese New Year with some of our friends. They have us a special booth in the kitchen area, and the kids enjoyed watching the chefs stir fry. The food was delicious! I am a major fan of Chinese food and this restaurant did not disappoint!

New Flavors

By Foodpoet |

First visit to a P.F. Chang's, Austin Tx Arboretum location was a winner. Started with appetizers of Vegetable Spring rolls, cooked perfectly not greasy with julienne veggies and a sweet chili dipping sauce. The Chicken Lettuce wrap featured finely diced chicken on a bed of light rice noodles and half a head of lettuce. Liked the flavor of the sauce, Beef with Broccoli was tender sliced of flank steak with a ginger-garlic sauce with steamed broccoli and green onions. Good flavor to the sauce which was not thick like some places tend to serve. Mongolian Beef was sliced flank steak with a soy glaze with sliced green onions. The serving portions of everything was large and two of us could barely finish. Dinner entrees are served family style to share and was a nice change of pace from a lot of places that serve sauces too thick or sweet. A good choice for dinner with good flavors. Option of white or brown rice and we selected brown which seemed a little dry to me.

P F Chang is among the best.

By mr_larry_smith |

If you want Chinese in this part of town then P F Chang’s is the place to go. They were crowded so we took out food to go. It was excellent. We will go again.

PF Changs Austin, TX Great server Kiah!

By Tucker B |

I had a great time at this restaurant! The food was tasty and the servers were great! Kiah especially made sure our drinks were always topped off! She was extremely nice and asked how our day had been! I strongly recommend going here!

People Make the Difference

By SWaN1111 |

The food is always very good here, but that alone would not earn this high a rating from me. But when you add the kind of excellent service that their manager demands, and is best exemplified by our server Cynthia, a bump in the rating is required. Personable, knowledgeable and attentive service, without the Michelin star price usually associated with this level of care. This "chain" practices what they preach.

tasty and fast!

By readytogoaway |

It was so busy with homecoming weekend going on that we got our food to go, It was fast and the food was great.

Nice Dinner

By blpeter |

Food was very good. Manager was personable. Large restaurant; nicely decorated; patio seating.

great place

By mrkwali |

i ahd lunch at pf Changs and i must say it is lovely, i didnt mind the wait as the waitress kept checking on us to ensure we were okay as the food was being prepared, overall i loved the experiene and will be going back.

Great Chinese

By Pamela R |

They also have a good happy hour from 3 - 5 pm. I like their small desserts.

Date with my lady!!

By arthurchupka@gmail.com |

This was my first time eating here!! The food was amazing and the service was wonderful!! Enjoyed every minute there with my wife! The fried cauliflower was one of the best appetizers in the menu! Excellent atmosphere in Austin!!

Not worth a return visit!

By Letty K |

Although the service from our waiter Gabriel was awesome, we went for the food. 3 of us got different chicken dishes while one got beef. No one's food was hot or even warm, but worse than that was that all 3 of the chicken meals were so extremely sweet that no one managed to eat even close to 1/2. Got the low mein which seemed nothing more than plain spaghetti noodles. Very disappointed as was hoping for more, and unfortunately was not good enough for us to return 😞

Very Good

By octoberhart |

PFChang's is very good but I can't say great. I will eat there again, but it is hard to find great Chinese food. The Honey Crispy Chicken is very good and the spring rolls are good. The chicken lettuce wraps are definitely good! They offer gluten free and vegetarian food so that can be helpful to a lot of folks. Small plates are available on the lunch menu.

Consistently tasty

By kaycee2881 |

We had a late dinner on the patio consisting of just appetizers: chicken lettuce wraps and salt & pepper calamari. Server was friendly and professional. Plates needed a better washing.

Dirty

By ObedF |

Although the food is consistently good and the wait staff is great, lack of cleanliness is an issue at this location. I had to ask for another swear we container since it was filthy. The second one was dirty too (although much cleaner) but I did not want to be rude and ask again. Upon receding the plates to place our upcoming entrees I felt something under the rim. We checked the bottom of our plates and each was filthy. Not good. The server did give us new plates. We were too hungry to leave.

Alright by us

By Travels With My HP |

Had dinner here one evening during our stay in Austin. Booked a table as we'd tried the night before without booking and were told it would be a long wait so we didn't bother. Food was good, wine perfectly acceptable and the waiter very friendly. Overall a good experience although the prices are fairly high.

food & ambiance all get an A.

By Travel Addict |

The restaurant building is gorgeous and there are plenty of tables that have enough space between each table. We ordered stir-fried rice, eggplants and ma po tofu. All the dishes were very tasty but they should use fresh soft tofu not fried one and minced pork when they cook ma po tofu. The stir-fried eggplants were our best choice on that day.

Excellent place to eat

By djt86 |

This place was AMAZING!! The atmosphere was great. We got on quickly and our food was delivered promptly.

2 dinners in 2 weeks

By BeachbumAggie |

We had 2 good dinners here within 2 weeks. My friend loves the shrimp tempura sushi and blistered green beans. I am a hot n sour soup fan and try different entrees, this location has a different menu than my local location. Other friend always hers edamame and a different entree. Had some yummy cocktails this last trip.

Love Chinese here

By CariSB9671 |

Try the large soup--- It is the best. Double pan fried noodles & Mongolian beef is the way to go. Don't forget to order lettuce wraps!

Really Good!

By octoberhart |

In Austin, again, so I went back to this PF Chang's on Jollyville and the service was great. I ordered the Honey Crispy Chicken and it was fantastic! I got there at around 6 PM on a Sunday and was quickly seated. My server was terrific, ready for any request! I highly recommend this PFChang's location!

Waitress was SLOW!

By Bertha J |

They were not even busy and the waitress did not offer us water. We individally had to ask for a glass of water. It took her forever to come and take our order. The ladies at the front greeting were great, just wish our waitress had the same attitude.

Classic PFC with Great Staff Work on a Nasty Night

By Hobietim |

Yes, it was a nasty night in Austin, COLD and blowing up to 50+ outside, other establishment sin the neighbourhood with out power and a group of 9 readily welcomed, seated pronptly and treated with great service by both wiat staff and Paul the manager. all the classic statements apply to taste, texture and quality, all up to the standards. One dish was delayed and the manager delivered in person and comped the dish, all without request or concern expressed by the group. Overall a great experience on a nasty evening, with great hearty PFC dishes!

Hard to please the English

By kevin w |

I have now been in Austin for 3 years and never once had good quality Chinese cuisine, I had purposely stayed away from PF Chang having seen their brand in supermarket shelves however for a business meal I thought why not. Service was quick, selection was wide, food was hot, clean and good. Really good. I was very impressed and am kicking myself for not sticking to my review principles. Try it first before arriving at an opinion. Would recommend this for lunch however I will hold to see what a Friday night is like. K.

Oh so Yummy!

By DR1 |

My family has been coming here for years and the food never disappoints. My favorite is the shrimp and candied walnuts with honeydew melon, and my favorite dessert in Austin is their fried banana spring rolls with on the side coconut ice cream! I suggest eating dessert first! And arrive early because they are always crowded.

PF Chang's in North Austin is Great!

By betty b |

Great for dine in but I highly recommend their catering options! I recently coordinated a work luncheon with food from PF Chang's. Although PF Chang's themselves does not delivery (some companies will do it for them at a charge) that was not a drawback. The food was impeccably packaged and loaded into my vehicle. Everything was hot and delicious and the portions were generous. I cannot say enough good things about the PF Chang's locations. Amazing staff and top notch food!

Great food

By meb2914 |

This restaurant was within walking distance of the hotel. We had egg drop soup, hot saki, seseme chicken, fried rice egg rolls, and spring rolls. ALL of it was very yummy! This is a great place to eat, especially if you are celebrating a special occasion. The service was great too!

This location used to be good, but much less now

By Austin T |

This location is our fav and we often come here for celebration events. With all the new staffs and not take order well and we have to wait for a long long time (even not busy time). Foods taste not the same (we pretty much stay with the same dishes). This last one was for my BD celebration, but foods and services let me down.

Always great

By John L |

I have never had a bad experience at any P F Chang's. This one is no exception. Great food and service. I had sesame chicken and was perfect. Easy walk from Renaissance.

Two and a half hours!!!

By Eric G |

We had a reservation for 6:00 and showed up almost half an hour early. The place was packed and many people were already upset. Apparently they were either not honoring their reservations by seating walk-ins or they were sliding in take-out orders ahead of their seated customers. Didn't get seated until 7:15! Looked around, and over half of the tables didn't have food on the table. Didn't see food until 8:30, two and a half hours after our reservation time. We were good sports until around 8:15 and probably wouldn't have gotten served as early as we did if we hadn't complained. The server apologized profusely and offered to give us soup - which she then included on the bill!!! Unbelievable. The manager should be shot for either overbooking or for allowing 200 take-out orders and prioritizing them over the customers with reservations.

Eat here once every time we visit Austin, Tx

By Penny N |

When we drive into town from Tucson, Az. we stop at Chang's for take out or to meet our son and daughter-in-law there. My daughter-in-law does not like spicy food so they prepare chicken fried rice without vegetables and pepper for her. My son loves ma po tofu and orange peel chicken with extra kitchen red chili paste and they always oblige. The northern style spare ribs are nice if you eat meat. I like the shanghai cucumber dish and the vegetable spring rolls. My husband picks dishes from every category. Oh yes, the Asian Pear Mojito is killer and they always have very cold Kirin beer. The wine menu has a wide variety of selections to complement all the dishes. Service is very good at the bar, in the dining room and at the side-door to-go drive-up.

Good food, great service

By WayfaringOne |

It had been a while since I ate at a P.F. Chang's restaurant, the last time in Asheville, NC (I was disappointed). But this time, in Austin, it was a great experience, possibly because my friend and I arrived well before the Sunday lunch crowd and had our waiter to ourselves, pretty much. (On my disappointing experience, in North Carolina, the place was packed.) I was impressed by how much more diverse the menu has become, and the food was quite tasty. We were glad to finish up about the time the crowds arrived, though. I think it's an entirely different experience then....

Highly disappointed

By Cindy Z |

I love Chinese food! So for my birthday meal we decided to go to the best. What a disappointment! The lettuce wraps were served with iceberg lettuce with big spines, try and wrap some ground meat in iceberg lettuce, what a mess. I ordered Mongolian beef, it should have been called mostly green onions and a little tough beef. My son ordered hot and sour soup, he loves it at other places, he had to send it back, it was awful. What a poor excuse for Chinese food.

Arboretum location was very friendly

By aaronstew |

we stopped in late one night for take out, and a glass of wine while we waited. everyone was super nice, and the wine recommendation, too. food was great as always.

I think I'd rather spend my money on a great steak

By Reggie H |

Haven't been to PF Changs in a few months. My wife and I decided we would have a early dinner. The facility is very nice and the staff are friendly and eager to please. The table and floor were clean. The food was good but not what I would call exciting. I think the money could've been better spent on a good steak. I think the meal was kind of expensive. I'm not an Asian food expert but I think I could've been just a satisfied with panda express in the mall.

GOOD FOOD

By BEACHTRAVELER648 |

I am a fan of P.F.Changs went all the time when I lived in Las Vegas, food is consistent service is good.

Always good.

By marciag2785 |

Always a great place, in the heart of Austin , walking distance from all the hotels, you always can cost on the good food there...

Late evening meal upon arrival in Austin.

By VElittle1 |

We've been to P.F. Chang's in other cities and LOVE this restaurant. We traveled all day, was tired and hungry, and P.F. Chang's just sounded good. We ordered the Orange Beef with fried rice. Also the dumpling with sauce (excellent). And hot and sour soup (also excellent). The Orange Beef was not the tenderest. A little dried and tough. We didn't say anything about it. Maybe an off night. We won't let that keep us from returning though. Again - we LOVE P.F. Chang's!

Great experience and good food

By Dave M |

It was a Saturday evening we were in here on, and it was surprisingly empty. With our table secured via reservation, we were able to get seated quickly and easily. Our server was very nice, and we enjoyed an excellent meal in a nice atmosphere. We had the entries of the Chilean sea bass and the sesame chicken, which were great. The dining area is nice and roomy, even though the tables are a reasonable distance apart. Getting in and out of the parking lot is easy, and the parking is good. We’ve found making a reservation ahead of time has made everything. We enjoy going to this place.

Good food, nice wait staff

By Exorcismblues |

Walked right in and got a table. Great food, get a cold Kirin Ichiban on tap, you'll be glad you did. Waitstaff very friendly. Little pricey but you get what you pay for.

Always good

By hornfanaustin |

Popped into pf changs on way to movies. Typically its crowded but luckily hostess told us we could eat with full menu at the bar. Great suggestion. Yummy lettuce wraps and craft beer. In and out in 30 minutes and plenty of time to see exciting new jason bourne.

Birthday Dinner

By marvinaryan |

Our service was on point! The good was good too. The fillet was yummy as was the Mongolian beef. We had the tuna avocado appetizer too. They even gave my hubby a birthday dessert!

Decent place with veggie options

By snod73 |

We visited on a Friday night. So, it was a zoo. Initially we were told 20-30 minute wait. At about the 20 minute mark, i checked again, and the lady said "Well, we told you 35-40 minutes". They change their story as their clients with reservations show up. Fair enough. Anywho. We had the eggplant dish, veggie coconut curry and the singapore style noodles with veggies. They were all excellent. The hard tofu in the noodles were spicy as suggested by the waitstaff. Service was prompt. Nothing exciting. It was loud inside. Very good place to go with friends / family.

LOVE IT!!

By John3018 |

My favorite place to eat. Love everything about this place. Food is always on point. Crab wontons are to die for. Those things should be illegal.lol! I just wish they had one closer to temple.

good stuff

By Erin o |

Nothing special, but solid good food. Quick curbside service is great! There are better places in the area for good Asian food, but Chang's is always reliably good if a little overpriced.

Delicious with great service with a smile

By amomNewBraunfels |

My husband and I were on our date night for our special weekend. Although we've eaten at other PF Chang's locations, I was nervous about eating here after having a horrible dining experience the night before at a "fine dining Italian" restaurant. We were sat at a nice booth. Our waitress was prompt, helpful, and always had a smile. I was afraid I was getting a little annoying with my questions about sake and a dish, but I never had it before and she was informative. She even let me try a couple different sake drinks, which aren't my style. I ended up getting a cosmo that was made well. We chose crab wontons for starters that tasted good and was cooked just right. I felt I needed to eat lighter, so I chose the new Asian Caesar Salad with salmon. It was actually the best Caesar salad I've ever eaten. The dressing was light and not overbearing, the lettuce was fine, the wonton croutons were fabulous in the salad! The salmon was just fine, a tad too dry, but good with the salad. My husband got some spicy dish as usual, so I didn't worry about trying it. He seemed to like it. I'm so glad we ate here for our date night. It was enjoyable and tasty. This is a great location.

What's up when Chinese food doesn't have any taste?

By Texastravelers94 |

Okay, I know I'm in Austin but... their Pei Wei brand does a pretty good job but this high priced version lacks anything like a Chinese flavor. Bland, tasteless, okay add soy sauce but really? Sorry, eaten at other PF Chang's that are better. This was the lunch special and I've eaten at various great locales for Chinese-San Francisco, Chinatown in Chicago and New York City and London and so I know I am a bit spoiled but come on-tomatoes in brocoli and beef? Lemon chicken that tastes like a microwaved speed meal? Am I alone on this?

Poor Service

By mustafa1957 |

We visited this place during our visit Cedar Park,Restaurent was average crowd,we order soup, and salad and Dynamite Shrimps and calamari tamura as a stater it was good,we order pepper prawns and egg fried rice, prawns was not cooked properly and taste was not upto the PF Chang stanterd, service was very slow, team was not attending any guest request properly.mangement should take care the PF stanterd and quality.

AWESOME+

By JO ANN D |

The food is excellent and we tried a great many dishes, some of which we were unsure about but our fantastic waiter assured us we would enjoy it all. We have found that if you want to get in without a long wait you need to arrive before 6:00. Word has gotten around Austin about how wonderful P.F. Changs is on Jollyville Road and no matter which night you choose to go you will find a crowd.

Dumbed down Chinese food!

By PB H |

We had not visited PF Chang's in several years, and my husband remembered the excellent Moo Shu Pork. Unfortunately, they no longer serve pork so we quickly perused the menu for other options. My husband ordered the Orange Peel Chicken -- the "peel" was non-existent and the sauce nondescript. I ordered the Ginger Chicken with Broccoli and again, the ginger was non-existent and the sauce had little flavor. I can say that the ingredients were fresh and cooked appropriately but just laid on top of a thin sauce. Concerning service, three servers introduced themselves before one took our order and then no one refilled our water glasses! It was early Sunday lunch and when we left the restaurant was fairly busy -- it appeared most diners were getting lettuce wraps and "dim sum" type appetizers. Given the entree prices, we might try those if we ever return. With so many excellent and inexpensive Asian restaurants in Austin, the diners must think the lovely atmosphere is more important than flavorful food.

P.F. Chang's China Bistro

By elitePro |

P.F. Chang's China Bistros are a chain so I know what to expect. i've been to their Las vegas and Houston locations and aways find consistant tasy food with a great ambience.

Epic fail at Changs. We ordered

By Dustin S |

Epic fail at Changs. We ordered curbside pick up for 5:30, it looks like the rest of Austin did too. Food is coming out very slow and they can’t tell us when our food will be out. They haven’t been very friendly about the situation either. How the hell do you not know how much food you can serve per hour?

Hmmmm...not as good as usual...

By daisylouwho |

I generally LOVE P.F. Changs so my family brought me here for my birthday. I had double appetizers, crab wontons and lettuce wraps. The lettuce wrap filling was burnt and the plum said and wonton were simply not very good (I'd not had them before). My kids enjoyed their kids meals (fried rice) and my hubby enjoyed his sweet and sour chicken. The bathroom had a broken soap holder and was over all not as nice as usual (messy although the restaurant wasn't very busy). We drove an hour and half to come here probably for the last time.

Delicious inventive Asian

By Tiffany D |

I love the PF Changs menu because it is not the typical Chinese or Asian menu. We ordered our dishes family style and got the Cecilia's shrimp dumplings steamed, long life noodles and prawns, and stirfry eggplant. Everything was completely delicious, as was the bottle of prosecco we ordered. Service was very good. I would definitely go back.

Yummyyyy

By cheeks782014 |

The BEST dumplings I have EVERRRRRR had! Every time I walk in here I never walkn out with one complaint!

2-3 day old food—delivery order was horribl;e

By Gina L |

The dry rub ribs we had delivered 5/26/2022 were at least 2days old. Dry, old smell and taste…appalling. The fried rice was mush!!! The egg drop soup had giant clumps of what appeared to be artificial egg substitute! This location is disgusting. I wish I had red the other reviews before we ordered!! Worst location in TEXAS —STAY AWAY

Not what it used. to be

By Judy D |

Had late lunch today, maybe two other tables and two people at the bar. Ordered lettuce wraps, lo main, sesame chicken, and sliced filet. NOT ONE THING WAS HOT. Luke warm at best. The good thing is you can always bring it home... To many other places to eat to put up with that. Not cheap either......

Best Chinese food in Austin

By Jesica E |

We moved from Houston to Austin over a year ago, and this is our favorite Chinese restaurant in town. We love the Cecilia Dumplings (esp. Shrimp), Change spicy chicken noodle soup, Change lister and shrimp rice, and many more. Great food and service

A little Asian experience

By BeverlydAustinTexas |

We LOVE P.F. Chang's! The ambience is good, food is incredible and it is reasonably priced. MaiTai's and Margarita's (with Agave Nectar) are very good. I think this is a great place to go if you want healthy food. They also have Gluten Free.

Price gouging

By niniof3 |

We used to go here all the time .I always get the Buddha's feast which is about $11. The vegetables I received did not always match the vegetables listed on the menu. So a manager said just ask for the ones you want . So I have been doing that problem free for a long time. This time they added about $10 worth of additional charges even though the Quantity and types of vegetables stayed the same. Afterward I called and mgr said she would send a gift card for $10. 3 weeks later, no gift card. so I called and they said they would send it but it did not come. so I wrote corporate and corporate did not respond either. We will not be back by the way did I tell you they were out of tsing tao beer at 5:00 p.m.

Much better than the ordinary Chinese restaurant, diverse & interesting menu

By Ken R |

I love Szechuan Chinese food (Hunan too) but not a big fan of Cantonese. PFC's has a great selection of appetizers, soups, and meat and fish main courses. I have a difficult time choosing. I am a big hot and sour soup fan and theirs is outstanding. My wife had the Asian Grilled Salmon (she is a major salmon fan) and I had the shrimp and lobster sauce. Both very tasty and good size portions. We went with our neighbors, a native-born Chinese couple and they also enjoyed their selections (which I forgot, sorry). No dessert.

PF Chang is always excellent.

By mr_larry_smith |

PF Chang is always excellent. The venue, menu and service were excellent. The dishes were excellent with generous portions. I recommend them.

Nice for lunch

By Traveldiive |

Stopped here for lunch after a early movie. We each ordered a different item off the lunch menu and they food cam quickly, was hot and tasty. We also had a happy hour drink, margaritas which could of had more tequila in the mix. It was a good place to get a quick lunch and we probably would go back again.

Love the Hot & Sour Soup

By TK14 |

P.F. Chang's in north Austin has the very best hot and sour soup and service in the Austin area. My wife and I love the hot fish and pepper beef dishes. The service is always friendly and succeeds in pleasing its patrons. If you like hot sauce, ask for a bowl of their fire ring. Guaranteed to spice it up!

2 hours late curbside

By presale2016 |

Totally absurd restaurant quoted 6:30 pickup. Waited 2 hours before bailing. Never again will we visit P.F. Chang

Great food and Service

By Vic Q |

I absolutely love this place. My wife and I frequent PF Chang's to dive into the chicken lettuce wraps for an appetizer...then follow up with my favorite, The Mongolian Beef...fantastic. The weekends are quite busy so I recommend getting there a bit early. Valet parking is also available.

Great Arboretum Location

By Tom_P_FL09 |

Located within walking distance to the Renaissance Hotel, P.F. Chang's is a perfect convenient option for out of town visitors. We tried P. F. Chang's for the first time in a number of years, and were quite pleased. We have had a great deal of difficulty finding a local, mom and pop Asian restaurant in Austin, and have not found our goto place. P. F. Chang's decor, fixtures and facilities are always first class. The staff and servers are very professional, but we have felt the food quality was a bit bland and not worth the pricing. We were wrong, the food was excellent and very spicy, which definitely suits us. Everything was tasty, fresh and perfectly seasoned and prepared. Yes, it is a bit pricey.

Usual awesome food

By Craig P |

Just what you would expect from this restaurant. Very good food and will eat here again. Wait staff was not too friendly at first but gradually got much better. Don't know if she had just got a bad tip or what, lol.

Love this place. Crispy...

By GoPlaces55940 |

Love this place. Crispy honey shrimp is delicious.

Dissapointed

By Rebecca L |

Normally, I have had a really excellent experience here every time. This time I ordered the Changs Special - chicken. The dish was good, however, there was not enough food and I received a cup of rice, not your usual bowl. The service was good, not excellent.

Sad to see the decline.

This location was once one of my favorite restaurants in Austin but now I'm not sure I'll ever return. Friday night was the second straight occasion in which "Crispy Shrimp" was no better than the frozen variety from Trader Joe's and was barely warm and certainly not crispy. The other selections at the table were equally average.

Great experience!

By Mendocinogirl |

Had a wonderful and very professional waiter. Wasn't really starving so had a couple of appetizers. The new lobster tacos in jicama shells were amazing! Also had some pork dumplings. Everything was well presented and delicious. All around great experience!

Anniversary dinner with family

By Juny A |

Saturday night anniversary dinner with the family. Made reservations which is a must. We couldn't contain ourselves and ordered 3 appetizers: crab wontons, egg rolls, and lettuce wraps. All were delicious and our server Jamie brought them out one after the other which was awesome. Dinners were huge so there was lots of leftovers. Hard to go wrong with any of them, but the crispy honey shrimp was the best by far.

Portion Size Too Small for the price

Portion Size Too Small for the price, $15.95 Beef Sichuan, not the lunch portion. Portion very small

Good Chinese American food

Food is great as always in P.F. Chang’s but nothing out of the world. Nice place to enjoy some drinks

I'll Be Back!

By SmithC25 |

I had grown weary of Chinese food until I visited this restaurant. The cooking was top class, everything tasted really good. The atmosphere and decor were very good. The service was also outstanding. Prices were reasonable.

Great business lunch

By Brad C |

This particular location is exceptional in the PF Chang's universe. Great service and their food is better than other PFC locations. Not sure what their special touch is, but Theis is great place for lunch or dinner.

Great new menu item

By Ricki M |

The new item on the menu that I totally enjoyed was the Ahi Tuna/ Arugula Salad with Wasabi guacamole. I almost did not order it as it was pricey at $17 for lunch. However, it was delightful and not too heavy for a female diner. A real treat although I had to spice up the guacamole. It was a bit bland wasabi or not!

Great food, friendly manager.

By Deborah W |

I brought three children here for lunch on a weekday. We started with the lettuce wraps and fried green beans. The kids loved both, but we had a hard time getting the server to come back to ask for more lettuce. Entrees were slow to arrive, but the dim sung lunch special I ordered made up for the wait. The kids likes the noodles the best of all. The manager (Jeff) came over and was super friendly and cute, too, I might add! He spoke to the kids and gave them coupons for a free kids' meal. Don't live here, but will come back when we're in Austin again!

A tradition with my son

Every time I visit Austin to see my son, it's PF Chang's - great food, nice atmosphere. We both love it.

good food with a long long waiting.dishes and silverware always dirty, waiter / waitress some time i feel that they didn't want to serve you.

Not what it used to be...

By LuvToTravelx2 |

My husband & I were loyal patrons of the Jollyville Chang's since they opened in 1998 by spending countless hours & $$ with business associates, family & friends. They had the best bar staff & happy hour atmosphere in NW Austin--good service & value for the $. Over the years we've noticed the food portions & wine pours diminished while the prices steadily increased. We mentioned this to the manager who has been with this store for years, but to no avail....so much for respecting the clientele who has been with you during good & bad economic times. The restaurant remains a staple & is consistently packed. Perhaps they don't miss what they never had, but we do and we've taken our loyalty elsewhere.

Reservations are a must at this very busy restaurant

By Dianne W |

Rarely do we eat out without reservations. We only had to wait 2 minutes before seated. Our waitress Lauren was excellent. She had some good recommendations since all staff have to try everything on the menu. The decor is more industrial and less Asian but still really nice. Food was good as always and Lauren served us quickly.

P.F. Chang's Restuarant

By marybI3843VP |

We love P.F. Chang's for dinner. Whether it be for a night out celebrating an anniversary or just lunch after church on Sunday. This is a great restaurant and we have never had a problem with the food or the wait staff.

Great food & service on a busy night

By KayBee89 |

The place was packed but our table we very quiet and the service was perfect. Food was delicious. Definitely make reservations!

Spacious and delicious

By enur1979 |

A bit pricey, but service makes up for it. Expect lines If you show up without reservation during lunch hours. The chicken Tikka is superb, but the menu has a lot of other good dishes. Good for companies who want to have a meetings in a little bit more formal surroundings.

Not PF Changs' Usual Quality

By Laurel W |

We LOVE PF Changs. Total addicts. We eat there in every city we can find one including: Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Hackensack, NJ, White Plains, NY and Atlanta and the food was always consistent, but not here. We always order the same thing too Kung Pao and Mongolian beef which are always delicious, but here they were both dry and leathery. Bad food timer? Chef with rawfoodaphobia? Short-staffed kitchen? I don't know, but it was bad. Another thing is the drinking water tasted really funny too. Any restauranteur knows that you throw a lemon in bad water. Very disappointing.

Delicious food, great service

By ricklo777 |

We eat here every chance we get when we visit Austin!! Classy, relaxed, atmosphere, excellent wait staff, very delicious and well served meals! The portions are great so you can each order different items and sample each others meals!!!Fantastic always!!

Great atmosphere and good food

By Texan_danield |

I've had the pleasure of eating here twice now and plan on returning. I like the atmosphere, service was great, the price is much better than I expected and the quality of food is very good. I have to eat gluten-free unfortunately and while I wish they had a larger gluten-free menu, they do have more than many other restaurants and it tasted great.

Nicolas is amazing!!! Great server! Great service. This restaurant is delicious and so wonderful. Great experience.

Always love coming here for dinner!!!

By jules19600 |

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Austin, especially if I am not eating Mexican. The atmosphere is so much fun at this location. The food is always awesome. I also like the fact that they keep most of their dishes and do specials. Love Love Changs!!!!

Decent Asian Food

By Dave M |

It had been years since either of us had been here. My recalled not being able to park because this was “valet only,” and my fiancée remembered the tiny parking lot because it was “valet only.” We like the P.F. Chang’s food we get in the store, and since we lost our favorite locally-owned Asian restaurant, we decided to give this a try again. First things we noticed was that it was no longer a “valet” place, and the parking lot had expanded greatly. There were actually places to park which didn’t require putting your car on top of another. We arrived just as the dinner rush was clearing out, and we didn’t have to wait long for our table. The interior was spacious, and the tables a little closer together than they should be. There weren’t any soft surfaces to absorb the noise, but it wasn’t too bad. Our server was very prompt, and attentive (thank you, Rhianna). We started off with the chicken lettuce wrap as an appetizer. It was decent, but not stellar. My fiancée got the orange peel chicken, and I the kung pao chicken. Both dishes were very meaty and delicious, and the portions weren’t too bad. Since this is right down the road for us, and there are few good Asian restaurants, we plan on coming back here, even if it is a national chain.

One of my favorite spots

By Liz J |

I have always loved PF Changs. This location is as great as any. Food is fantastic. The Chang's spicy chicken is my favorite! Their salad is amazing too.

it is a chain

By J E |

My husband & I do not enjoy chain restaurants. However, we do enjoy spending time with our friends. A few suggested this place for a get together and we will never say no to a get together. Thankfully they take day of reservations and we were able to get in. I was starving when we sat down. I asked the waitress what can get here the quickest with protein and she suggested Kaleidoscope Roll. It was really good. I should have ordered a few more and made that my dinner. I got the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce and couldn't believe how salty it was. The service is a bit slow. Friendly but slow. My husband told me in the car his was very salty as well. Of course our friends liked there but then again they picked the place. If you need a place to eat I guess this will do. Without reservations it appears you will be waiting a long time on a Saturday night. This place is not worth a wait. Come on people there are better places to spend your time.

Great food & great staff.

By RBG49 |

If you like asian food, then this is the place to be.

Upscale Chinese That's Consistent

By Foodwinegoofnut |

PF Changs always delivers a consistent and enjoyable meal. Although its food menu hasn't changed much over the years, the wine list has become bare, and the service can be spotty at best. My wife and I went with another couple, on February 16th, got there early so seating was not a problem. It had been about 13 months since we last dined here. Our previous experience had been very positive. Although the food was very good in terms of both taste and appearance, the service was medicore. Although the server was busy, we had to ask on a number of occassions that our water glasses be refilled. It took a good thirty minutes to recive our entrees. Unfortunately, Changs has slimmed down its wine list considerably, and the current selection was rather poor and very limited as compared with the selections it offered in the past. As we left around 7:30 p.m., there was a considerable line of people waitng to be seated which I suppose shows that PF Changes still offers great appeal even during the middle of the week and in a tight economic environment.

Disappointing

By Wineanddine555 |

Took the family for dinner here last night and was so disappointed. Not sure how they even have 4 stars. Cocktails are good. Calamari and vegetables were ok - no vegetables! Crab Rangoon must have Been cooked hours ahead and held under warming lights as it was cold and soggy. Main courses were tasteless and served cool. Orange peel shrimp was not orange peel shrimp! No hint of the good wok cooked shrimp crispy with oranges. There were 3 canned mandarin oranges on top of dish still fresh from can. It would be nice if dishes were served as specified in the descriptions. This really is false advertising. I know the beef dishes was subpar as my husband said the meat was as chewy as jerky. We ordered one desert for the kids. The blue bell ice cream was good since all they had to do was scoop it out. Will not go back to drop $250+ on a terrible meal.

Was served RAW CHICKEN!

By Rich |

We ordered takeout and got the salad with chicken. On the one side - the side you see when you open the salad package it looked fully cooked but unbeknownst to us the other side was RAW and squishy. I ate a piece and it seemed really unflavorable and squishy so I looked at it on both sides and this is when I noticed it was RAW. I called and spoke with Allie, the manager, and she basically did nothing except file a claim with their insurance - who never called me. She didn't refund our money or seem particularly concerned. The only thing she did was go and sternly tell the kitchen people to "not do that again". This place does NOT seem concerned about their guest's safety or happiness. They will NOT make it right for you if they mess up. Also got the hot and sour soup and it was literally slimy - couldn't eat it and threw it out.

Great Place when Alone on Business

By Kevin W |

After a day of meetings, I hit this place because it was close to Renaissance Hotel where I was staying. It's basically just across the street. I sat at the bar and had great service. Though she did forget my wine for about 15 minutes but I wasn't in a hurry and she apologized profusely. I had sweet and sour soup which was fantastic and black pepper chicken which blew my mind! Chicken full of flavor and nice size portion. Enjoyed the white wine Sauvignon Blanc but can't remember the name. Will def return!

had dinner here

By teresa m |

The waitress split the bill amongs us all. It was awesome food. We were able to four appetizer and passed them around the table. They brought us water. it was excellent service and the staff was very friendly

Good place, but if you want to go and talk and have fun for a while, it's not the option... too formal.

By Alucard66 |

I like the place, I hadn't been to this chain of restaurants but it tastes good although not much variety for which we are not used, but it was delicious, although the atmosphere is very serious...

Total XMAS EVE cluster

By Aram B |

So, Christmas Eve... - Pre-order at 3:30PM for 7:00PM curbside - Arrive 6:55PM - total zoo in parking lot, nobody directing traffic, no curbside spots available. Line of 6-10 waiting cars on each side of parking lot. - I called @ 7:10PM to see if I cold come in to pickup order - was told they were running 30 minutes behind - Call again @ 8:00PM to check on order - person who picked up phone stated, "I don't work pick-up, can I put you on brief hold." 20 minutes on hold. I hung up. - 8:20PM pulled into Curbside spot and dialed curbside phone number. Message stated, "no one available to pick up phone, please leave message" - 8:30PM - walk inside to cancel order and I would appreciate a call from manager confirming credit back to CC. Was told, "no problem someone will call tonight" - 8:45PM - arrive home with no dinner for family of 4 - 8:46PM get call from person at PF Chang's telling me "my order is ready." Are you F'ing kidding me? - No call from manager Realize Christmas Eve can get a bit crazy, but WOW....this was a complete CLUSTER F&CK! Totally ill-prepared, no answers onsite to handle any type of reasonable business volume. See ya P.F. Chang's!

Not sure if we are coming back here.

By Om Maniyar |

Visited this after purchasing the 20% off gift cards from Costco. We had lettuce wrap and Calamari as starters. That probably was the best part of the meal. The lettuce wrap is actually very good. It went downhill from there fast. The egg plant dish was prepared with some sauce that did not sit well with our tongue. Same went with the Tofu Broccoli. Our son had Crispy Honey Chicken and that was about ok. Overall not a pleasant meal. The server was very pleasant but the food was questionable at best. Next time will stay with the appetizers only.

Very good experience

By eat0utdaily |

Orange peel shrimp or crispy honey shrimp are winners. Substitute chicken...still good. Lettuce wraps are great. Most any dish will delight. Atmosphere and service are tops. Wish I was there right now.

Typically great experience

By Travelcritic78 |

Quality of food and service is always great at this P F Changs location and today was no exception. The tuna appetizers on wonton chips were fresh and tangy and the hot and sour soup perfect on a cold, windy, day. Observed and overheard the manager dealing with an obnoxious, and rude, out of control angry customer and he was kind and patient.

Ryan was excellent!!!

By mary h |

My server was Ryan, and he was extremely helpful. Very professional and attentive, knowledgeable about the menu. Friendly and courteous, clearly wants to help his customers have the best experience. They are lucky to have him and I will request him whenever I visit again.

Give me a Mai Tai!!!!

By jules19600 |

The food is absolutely wonderful at P.F. Chang's and the Mai Tai's are soooo goooood!!!!! There are several dishes I really like but I would bet that there is something on this menu for everyone. Great place for dinner and also for a girls night out.

Are the portion sizes getting smaller?

By Clayton C |

We've been eating at PF Chang's on and off for years and the food and menu is the same and the quality seems to be holding up well. My only concern is that the portions seem to be getting smaller. It must be food inflation.

Great Asian food

By SCM-FL |

We went there for dinner on a workday. The restaurant is big and also has a small patio. The bar has a big selection of beers, both local and Asian. For dinner, we tried a wide selection of dishes. All of the dishes we had were very good, just the broccoli and the beans were not well cooked and almost raw. Nevertheless, we would definitively come back if we happen to be in the area.

A great place for Chinese Fare.

By lewisotr |

I enjoy going here, mostly with my 2 teen Granddaughters. They love it and so do I. The food and service is always good. I recommend it for anyone that thinks they don't like Asian food. I used to be one of those people, but after going to PF Changs, now I have become a fan of the cuisine.

So-so food

By Inspire587709 |

PF Chang's food is watered down version of any "authentic" ethnic food, despite menu options. (Not easy to be good with different Asian cuisines). Each to his/her own taste (that's fine). Service is very good, as always. Value, with respect to food quality, is average.

It’s been a long time

By Ed B |

Haven’t been to a PF Chang’s in a very long time since there aren’t any in Savannah (hint hint). But it was delicious and the service was fantastic. Nick P was our server at lunchtime and he was doing an amazing job

Restaurant a Little Tired

By Marshall T |

This location could use some sprucing up because it is a little tired both outside and inside. The service and food were good. I enjoyed the lettuce wraps for an appetizer and had a special of the Dali Chicken. The Dali Chicken was advertised as being spicy and it was.

Wonderful dining experience!

By robspetal |

Visiting for a conference with my semi-picky eater 13 year old daughter, we had a great time at P.F. Chang's! They accommodated her special requests and served up delicious freshly cooked dishes. The margarita topped off the meal. Our server was knowledgeable, attentive and accommodating. We felt valued and will definitely return!

Very nice place

By RoxanaRegue |

I do not put 5 points just because it is a little bit noise, they could reduce the noise placing some absorbent fabric. The food is delicious, the quantities are good. I love "lettuce wraps" and "Chang spicy chicken" also honey crispy shrimps.

Beware of waiters bearing comped food

By mc01022014o |

Due to some minor & now forgotten snafu, our waiter comped The Great Wall Of Chocolate dessert . On multiple previous visits the Great Wall Of Chocolate was chilled to the point where the frosting was thick & rather fudgy. This time the cake seemed warmer; like it had been setting out for awhile The frosting was soft & more runny than I remembered. I noted the difference but it tasted fine. About 2 hours after eating I threw up my guts with no further complications.

Worth the drive

By Harry R |

We had not been to P.F. Chang’s in some time and decided to stop by for my wife’s birthday while we were in the big city. Although this is a long drive for us, about an hour and a very large chain type restaurant, it was well worth the drive. Living out in the country has many wonderful advantages but close by great restaurants is not one of them in our case. We got the dinner for two special. It has a nice selection of items from the regular menu and it was GREAT! The variety, flavors and presentation were terrific. The amount of food was far more than we could eat so of course we took some home. Our waiter was also really great and fast to respond to requests. We need to learn to eat with chopsticks. The décor and atmosphere are also excellent, especially for a large restaurant. The price in our opinion was very reasonable especially for the high quality of the food. We have put this on our must eat at when in town list. You will not be disappointed.

Birthday Saturday lunch

By Anabell |

Great food, and great service from Stephen! We loved our spicy Brussel sprout appetizer and loved our chocolate soufflé with the birthday flare!!

2nd Best dinner ever!

By Virg C |

That's what my BF said. His best was 20 years ago in China Town in NYC. He had never been to a PFC's and was totally impressed. I've always loved them but don't have one where we now live. The ambiance was charming, although a remodeled horse stable and very large the noise wasn't a problem. The service was smooth and friendly. Dan was our main waiter, and did a great job, but anyone passing by helped out be removing a dirty dish, glass etc. The special sauce he concocted at the table was awesome. My friend had the Beef Sichuan and I had the Kung Pao Scallops. Both were delicious. We took home left overs but they didn't make it to the next morning as we couldn't wait to devour them. We loved it so much we're going back tomorrow before we fly home. What a great evening!

Brandon was AMAZING

By Brittney H |

We had a late dinner and Brandon was our server, he was very attentive, friendly and never missed anything. He was the best server I have ever had and I will definitely be coming back and asking for him AGAIN.

University Hunting

By Vionnette P |

Lettuce wraps, dumplings, fried rice, Mongolian beef and chocolate cake. Delicious food!! The service was superb (I wish I'd remember the waitress name) and the atmosphere was inviting. This is the place to go if you are looking to have great food in great company and it's not too far from the University of Texas.

Beautiful decor and friendly staff with good food

By Dianne W |

Maggie was our server and she was top-notch. The lunch specials are really good and filling. The bowl and sushi dishes were our favorite. We didn't have room for the delicious desserts - maybe next time. Plenty of parking. I recommend you have reservations - the dining fills up fast.

Always good

By Birdinhandtwo |

My favorite is the Mongolian beef, and I like the choice to have the more healthful brown rice. My husband chose the spicy Kung pow chicken and was satisfied with its flavor. When I'm searching for a lighter meal, I always enjoy the lettuce wraps on the appetizer menu. One of my problems with this restaurant is its difficult location. There's only one entrance/exit to the parking lot on the high-traffic Jollyville Street. Don't sit in the corner inside by the patio, as the air-conditioner will blow on you and freeze you out.

GOOD FOOD GREAT SERVICE

By Limeylady77 |

We placed an order for curbside pickup and we were pleased with the efficiency of staff and attention to detail to ensure order correct. Curbside handoff was flawless and convenient and food was as always delicious and well packaged. The strawberry lemonade hit the spot on a triple digit hot day in Austin. An round good experience.

Birthday Dinner

By Raymond M |

Wife & I went here for a birthday dinner, mid week. Neither of us really wanted something fancy, so this was the selection. I called and made reservations, but it was not necessary. Only half the tables were filled. Did not change the whole time we were there. It was never busy. Waitress was distracted and seemed surprised to see us each time we waved her down. We controlled the pace of our dinner by ordering items one at a time. Even then, we had to ask for missing items. Soup came out, but crunchy noodles for it were forgotten. Main course came out, but no rice. Had to ask twice before it showed up. Somehow this spot seemed really off the night we were there. Food was OK, but not what we had expected from this place. Not certain we will be back any time soon.

A Delightful Evening at PF Chang's at Austin Arboretum

By Steve R |

Ours was a wonderful meal in a pleasantly decoraded restaurant. PF Chang's is a favorite of ours. We shared the "PF Chang's For Two", a four course prix-fixe meal for $39.95. We begin with Hot & Sour soup, dark brown color with a depth of flavors and textures (tofu, noodles, bits of chicken, egg, and mushroom). For our starter, we almost inhaled the crab wontons. They are a crunchy combination of crispy wonton wrapper filled with a mixture of crab meat, green onions, and bell peppers and served with a slightly spicy plum sauce. The choices for our Main course were Kung Pao Shrimp (my favorite) and Crispy Honey Chicken (maybe not the best choice). It is hard for me not to order the Kung Pao Shrimp - stir fried with peanuts, scallions, and chile peppers. The Honey Crispy Chicken was very tasty, but bland. I believe a better choice would have been the Sweet & Sour Chicken. It's sweetness would balance the spiceness of the Kung Pao Shrimp. Desserts were the "Salted Carmel Chocolate Cake" and the "Chololate Peanut Butter Crunch". Both provided a great ending to our meal. Our Waiter, Steve, was very professional and personable. We look forward to a return visit.

Consistently consistent

By John A |

Good food, nicely prepared and always hot. Of course I'd like to see more variety over time but I can usually find something that I have not had for a while. The chicken noodle soup is the "best". I like the Singapore Street Noodle and Kung Pao Chicken. The starters are good and often on "happy hour" and a few of them is as good as a meal. Nice staff are attentive and work hard to please.

Chang is open late

Luxurious Ambience. Great and fast service. Tasty food. Too rushy and waiting time is little more in weekends thou' the restaurant is very big. both Non-veg and Veg food is tasty and spicy. Best of Chinese menu. Lettuce wrap is a must of the order to enjoy with family. Great for candle light Dinner!

As always, one of my favorite restaurants

By Wendy H |

I love PF CHang's China Bistro, no matter where I am if I see one I must go. I come to this one every year and to dat e I have not been disappointed. Service is excellent, foood and atmosphere are great. I will be back over next June!

Excellent eatery to score points on a special Birthday

By Hugh S |

A nice Birthday Card, Yellow Roses and Lettuce Wraps will make the day go well. This restaurant has excellent food with wonderful service. You cannot go wrong with this one.

Not up to par

By Lisa L |

This is disappointing. Service poor. Unwelcoming. We arrived about an hour before they closed, ordered a drink and food, and then later asked for another round. Nope. Bar closed. No notification. Spoke to manager who could not have cared less. Overall, we were treated as an annoyance.

What you'd expect

By netvisip_onripsto |

First time at a PF Changs ever and will be back! Great food and the portions were much appreciated - perfect after having traveled all day with no solid meal. The service was great - my waitress was personable, knowledgeable and very attentive.

Just OK

By Suz B |

Food was delivered on time but portions were small for the price and food was far too salty. This was probably the worst experience I have ever had at PF Chang's, but was not horrible. Just nothing to talk about.

Excellent Restaurant with Excellent Service...10114 Jollyville Rd. Austin, TX (Arboretum Area)

By 685selenab |

I enjoy dining alone, as well as with friends and family, at P.F. Chang's Jollyville Rd. restaurant in Austin, TX. The vegetable (tofu) lettuce wraps are always great. The vegetable spring rolls go well with any bar drink whether it's the Ginger Beer, Strawberry Cucumber Limeade, or the Asian Pear Mojito. The silken Tofu with Broccoli is divine, and the Hokkien Street Noodles, a wonderful surprise. The Miso Glazed Salmon was delightful for my daughter's birthday celebration. For a special family gathering, we all enjoyed the Oolong Chilean Sea Bass. I can go on and on with praise. In Austin, Texas the Jollyville Rd. location is best in service and food quality. Oh yes! The Great Wall of Chocolate Cake is very festive and great for sharing a birthday dessert.

Gluten Free Awesomeness

By Micmacmocha |

As a person diagnosed with celiac I have had a hard time communicating my dietary needs at Chinese restaurants and have basically avoided them. On top of that I'm also vegetarian. Enter P.F. Changs. Not only do they have a a separate gluten free menu, but there wait staff is knowledgeable about the menu offerings as well. The food is delicious. The service is fantastic. I have missed Chinese food. So glad I found this place.

Great people!

By John D |

Great service at the bar! Extremely friendly and knowledgeable bar staff. Food was hot and delicious. Try the s&p shrimp and Mongolian beef. Happy hour dishes are a bargain.

I really like PF Changs

By KitchenerCouple1986 |

Went for lunch. Shared a big pot of spicy soup, kung pao chicken, and a few dumplings. Food was great. Service excellent as usual.

Mother’s birthday dinner

By Jonathon T |

What a great place. I was shocked at how empty they were at 7:00 on a Tuesday night. Made a reservation. We got sat early as we arrived early. Love being sat on time. Great service in general. Our server was on point the entire time we were there. Food was super fresh and wonderful. Lettuce wraps, fried green beans, Mongolian beef are all must haves.

Always a good time

By Caitlin G |

Love coming here, even if I can't do it to often. They have my favorite version of Kung Pao Shrimp but everything on their menu is good.

Not what I had in mind.

By StTerri |

Reservation made for 5 for my birthday. We showed up on time but were not seated for 20+ minutes. The wait staff was very nice, knowledgable and seemed efficient. However, the music was loud club music, not dining music. Beverages took another 15 minutes after ordering. When the food arrived, one dish was missing. 5 minutes later we had to ask for it. The beef with broccoli was tasty but the meat was tough. The shrimp with walnuts and melon was also tasty but difficult to eat. The walnuts were as big as the shrimp and the mellon balls were even bigger, plus they were cold. The other dishes were good. This is not the same experience I've had in a number of visits to the downtown location. They totally dropped the ball on my birthday but I was no longer in a mood to celebrate it there.

This PF Chang lived up to the high standards of the chain.

By mr_larry_smith |

We met another couple at PF Chang for dinner. We shared several dishes and it was hard to pick my favorite. Nice restaurant, good food and excellent service.

Friendly staff, nice happy hour options

By Elizabeth M |

I *love* PF Changs-- this one did not disappoint. It's small on the inside, so if you're looking to go on the weekend, expect a wait OR order it to go. They have great happy hour specials though, so you can sit at the bar and order an appetizer in the mean time. Our server was very friendly (wish I could remember his name) and the food was great. I always find it to be a little pricey, though.

My lunch spot

By Liz J |

I do not eat out often but when I do, I go to PF Changs. I go here for lunch about once a month as I work right down the street. Atmosphere is great, service is amazing, and food is top notch!

overpriced food!

By Birdiki |

The atmosphere is lovely, very open and contemporary seating...but the food is very cliche and underwhelming. You can get the same thing at a lot less in your neighborhood restaurant. The Peking duck is just a nightmare at this place! They have NO idea!

I love the PF Chang's. I...

By Resort57220 |

I love the PF Chang's. I had the Mongolian Beef, the Kung Pow Chicken with the chicken lettuce wraps and dumplings as appetizers...everything was great and the service as always what phenom. I love the laid back atmosphere, even at night with the lights turned low.

Seriously Saddened

I believe in supporting those that provide a great service or product. I take my reviews and those I seek out before visiting a place very seriously. So to sit here and write this review saddens me to the core. We travel......we have traveled as a family and now as a couple since the mid 1970's. Business and pleasure we feel privileged to explore the world. Whenever we go to a new town, we find the P.F. Chang's Restaurant ASAP cause we know it will be a great meal, and in a good part of the town. We have truly been to dozens of them......Washington State has our favorite one. That being said....over the past several months we have stopped for lunch or dinner, knowing the staff for many years in the Arboretum location. They know us.....they have met our in-laws, our kids, our friends and our neighbors. First we noted the staff changing, then we noted the change in the menu along with the quality slipping in our favorite picks. Last we ordered the same chicken salad we have ordered for many lunches.....out came this pathetic excuse for greens....mostly stems.....with "pressed in a roll" chicken white meat...dry and tasteless.....and it went downhill from there. Yes, the manager came by and offered to replace it....No thank you!......then offered dessert.....it was also hard and dry and not the Great Wall of China chocolate cake I remembered......so I write this review in hopes that who ever is now running the chain........will not scratch his head and wonder why business is falling off........QUALITY is not your most important product any more folks. Now where am I going to find decent oriental food in Austin??

Good business luncheon spot

Food & service was good as usual. The lunch portion of the Kung Pao scallop was a bit on the light side, but I guess reasonable for lunch.

Overcharging

Overcharging in bill. Dishonest, as after we raised about the overcharge, the new bill again has an overcharge item. The server is not professional in explaining the menu and is quite amazing that after charging a top up for the set menu, they continue to charge the ala carte price on top of the set menu price and the top up. This is dishonest.

Great service and very good food

PFC is our favorite chinese restaurant in Austin since several years. We always got great service and very good food. The prices are also reasonable. They have lots of vegetarian choices for us vegetarians. We enjoy fried rice, noodles, Buddha's field and lettuce wraps there. It is always crowded for dinner so make sure you make a reservation.

HORRIFIC EVOLUTION OF THIS LOCATION!

By Bostonx26 |

What on earth has happened at this PF Changs location. For years we have been regulars and had come to expect a certain quality experience. Last 2 visits have been such a disappointment. Why: 1) Hostess indifference: we made reservations for a certain are of the restaurant…. On arrival no tables available (Many dirty tables that customers had vacated). We waited over 30 minutes for a table to be prepped while the “two” hostesses giggled amongst themselves and checked their phones. 2) Second time in over a month where no draft beers were available. Both times they communicated it just happened and was not on going… NOT 3)Ordered a Martini that I have literally ordered dozens of not hundreds of times at various PF Changs around the country. Not in the customary glass, “seemed” like a much smaller glass. Beverage not prepared the way that drink is prepared. Not a cheap drink either. I did not return (seldom do that). 4)Wait staff seemingly uninformed re: basics of the menu and got the finer details of our order wrong. 5) The colors, decorations of the interior had been changed to a very inelegant aura… We are fine after literally many years frequenting this place and purchasing thousands of dollars of gift cards for ourselves and for gifts to friends and family. WE ARE DONE, too many nice restaurants in Austin to once again suffer at this place.
