I love Ps & Q's -- they always have great food and they always have good beers on tap! Plus when i forget to buy brown sugar at the grocery store and I'm baking apple dumplings at home, they have what I need! The food is consistently good -- the service is good - its a great place. I WISH there were servers instead of counter-style ordering...but I get why they do that! Anyway -- GO HERE!

Went for lunch at noon but only served breakfast. We still stayed to give it a try. Hostess had no clue how long the wait would be. After being seated (at an outdoor picnic table) it took 30 minutes to get our food. Inside was not open. Just a strange place even by Portland standards.

P's and W's Market is quite different from anywhere I've been. The serve unique fare. There was much to choose from for me, but my family enjoyed it. Spicy jerk sandwich was probably the unanimous favorite.

Ps & Qs is consistently good food in a very friendly environment. I've eaten there over 20 times in the last year and I frequently recommend it to my AirBnB guests and your clients. They are famous for their brisket sandwich but other favorite goodies are the fried polenta sandwich and the chicken salad. And the fries!

The best Bloody Mary’s in town! The pesto grilled cheese with turkey was perfection. Friendly service, clean and cute little place!

Traffic was at a standstill on I-5 and my wife wanted a late lunch, so we exited and drove to a small deli/restaurant we had seen on DDD a couple years ago. Terrific decision! We both ordered the beef brisket sandwich (my wife wanted the catfish entrée, but it wasn't yet available-a dinner special). Somewhat unique yet very tasty brisket loaded with 'slaw, and when we added the side of fries (I couldn't finish it all, but my wife DID!) for a buck, it was a huge lunch. This is in a gentrified area of NE Portland, and a drive-by for a look-see doesn't do it justice. Inside there is a wonderful variety of wines, beers, soft drinks and some I've never heard of. The staff is warm and conversational, and we discussed Guy Fieri (the reason I had even heard of this business) and the Diners, Drive-ins and Dives program. They had several interesting items, including pre-cut meats (bacon) and salads- a cauliflower salad that looked like a potato salad-in the deli case, and specials on the chalkboard. They have indoor and outdoor seating, including counter, tables and benches. There was a wide range of customers dining or simply having an adult beverage and chatting, including a small baby to seniors, like ourselves. I did note that they have a $1 corkage fee to drink purchased beverages on premise and was a bit taken back by that, but they also have a self-serve water bar. I think you'll like it! We are going back, even if traffic is not an issue.

We are staying at an airbnb down the street from P's & Q's and have eaten here three times. The menu is limited but well thought out. The soups are outstanding, the sandwiches large and delicious. The fare has some unusual combinations or flavorings but all were delicious. The prices are very reasonable (soup cup is $3 and bowl is $5). There are some truly great choices. In addition there is a small healthy/organic grocery store that is part of the establishment. Limited outdoor seating is available. Thye are opne 11-9 with brunch on Saturday and Sunday 9-1

Cute little corner market, also serves food. Great food! I loved the miso soup and sandwich I got, so yummy! They also make awesome deviled eggs!

This neighborhood market is only about a year old in another gentrified area of Portland called Woodlawn. We actually walked to it from our daughter's house passing several other fun looking eateries. You order at a deli counter from a written menu plus specials board. There is a small number of indoor and outdoor tables. The food was quite good. A very healthy and plentiful child's plate for our grandson and our daughter loved her BBQ brisket sandwich. My BLT was with arugula and a tomato jam and homemade molasses smoked bacon. Very yummy. One bratwurst ordered was overcooked but the Kale Caesar salads was good. A diverse menu with unexpectedly good results.

We stopped here for lunch after landing in Portland and before heading down to Oregon wine country; it was a relatively short drive from the airport. The market itself was closed due to COVID-19, but they were offering sandwiches that you could order at the door of the market. We ordered a couple and then headed to the back patio, which was a lovely set-up with well-distanced tables, hand sanitizer, etc., all set amid a bunch of lovely plants. Perfect for an outdoor lunch, and staff who then delivered the food to the back patio could not have been nicer. Our sandwiches were SUPERB, especially a grilled cheese. Excellent ingredients, lots of flavor, not too large. Highly recommended for lunch when in the area.

I saw this place on and episode of Diners Drive-ins and Dives about two weeks before our trip to Portland and I knew that we HAD to stop here for lunch. It's a small little market in the middle of a neighborhood, if we hadn't heard about this on tv I'm not sure if I would have stopped to eat if I were just driving by. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be but it was so quaint on the inside I fell in love. We ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage and the biscuit and tomato gravy with an egg. The prices I felt were a tad bit expensive, considering that it was $3 extra to add sausage to the burrito and it ended up being one link cut up inside, and the biscuit portion seemed to be small. HOWEVER, the food was SO tasty I didn't care by the end of it. Yes, the portion of the biscuit looked small but I was so full once I got through it and the burrito was one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever tasted. The only think I didn't like the taste of was the cilantro in the cabbage slaw, but it was premixed in so we just picked it out - no big deal. Long story short, eat here. You won't regret it. *To clarify on the waiter/waitress portion of questions. When you walk in the workers at the order counter will give you a menu and you pick whatever seat you want. Once you're ready to order you do so up at the counter and they bring it out to you. Once you're done you place your plates at the end of the counter in the "bussing station"

Excellent as always! The brisket sandwich, or the house roast beef sandwich are delicious, and the amazing eggplant for veggie peeps is so unbelievably good. Also love the rose gimlet cocktail or the house cider or the mimosa with fresh squeezed juice :)

Delicious food and very much come as you are, this place is another one of Portland's non stereotypic, iconicly Portland eatery. We went for brunch and were not disappointed. The Caesar Kale Egg Salad and Frittata were fabulous. The latter was like an egg custard combined with egg and other delicious vegetables. This is a fun and hospitable dining experience.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Portland, everything they make is excellent.I have eaten here many times over the last 4 years and am never disappointed. Love the atmosphere too. I highly recommend the pesto grilled cheese!

this is our new family find. We enjoy going there. People are always very kind with us and the small children. There is room for kids and a little play area. The restaurant includes a little grocery store with convenient things. Food is made with love. Fries are really good but addictive... There is always something good on tap. And they have gluten free options. During summer days they have outside seating in front of the store.

Saw an episode on 'DDD' (Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives) featuring P's & Q's Market... Food is great!! Brisket is delicious, side-salad had a great taste too! Surprised this restaurant isn't rated as one of the top-ten restaurants in Portland... Great job!!

Savory and inventive dishes that will make you want to come back for more. Friendly service in an airy and comfortable dining room and a large backyard outdoor eating area. Love this place.

This looks like just a little market (which it is, with lots of great gourmet items), but it is also a nice little neighborhood restaurant. Pick what you want and order at the counter and they bring it out to you. We loved our deviled eggs and someone else in our party had delicious french fries. The service was friendly and helpful and they had so many fun beverage choices in the cooler. A great spot.

the deli menu was underwhelming, so we ordered from the specials board . the pork chop was the best we've ever had - unknown spices but thick and extremely moist and a great light sauce . ditto for the pea soup, braised kale, and broccoli au gratin . our friend also enjoyed her lamb . Total bill for the 3 of us was about $40 . wish we had one of these restaurants in ct .

This place serves great food made fresh and tasty! The menu is really diverse and you can get some items not common in area restaurants. The owners are working right next to staff and everyone there on my visit seemed quite happy with the food. Try their bacon if you want to be sure the menu is tasty, I bet you will agree!

This lil market is a great neighborhood gem. Freshly made entrees, salads, desserts are delish! I had a kale Cesar, with the green bean/cheese sandwich. Of course that doesn't sound that tasty, but it was the best!!! Had a gluten free/dairy free cheesecake to top the meal.

Everything we had here was extremely tasty! The fried polenta sandwich, the jerk chicken sandwich, and cheesecake with blueberry compote were standouts. We will definitely be back to this quirky gem!

Read the write up in Portland Monthly magazine and were inspired to try their beef brisket sandwich. It was delicious as was the eggplant sandwich. Service was very good and fast. We look forward to enjoying another lunch again soon.

While visiting my son and daughter in Portland, we made lunch plans. I just wanted to go someplace that wasn't too fancy, but was nicer than what we call a Coney in Michigan. Well, this place was perfect! They had delicious local beers, and the menu was extensive and inventive. The restaurant is in a building that also is a neighborhood grocery store. My husband and I ordered a brisket sandwich that was fabulous! So flavorful! I wish places like this existed in my town.
Don't let the outside fool you
This place has the most amazing brisket. You can order the brisket plate and choose two sides. It's a casual affair in that you order at the counter and bus after yourselves. It says it's a market but 80% of the place is really the deli and ready made food
