Small restaurant with good service and inexpensive food. We had red curry with chicken and noodles with roast duck. The food was pretty good and the portions generous. Good location, near Hollywood...

i visit this restaurant couple time,is located in thai town <LA,CALIFORNIA>.The restaurant is very clean and nice with very friendly servers who advise you what to eat. I tried beef noodle soup and was amazing !!! excellent !! I will deffinelly go again, when I will visit LA.

This was suggested to us en route to the hotel by our Lyft driver. He was generally right. The food was relatively cheap and prety good. I didn't fancy my first plate, but SO did, and on our second time I fully enjoyed my plate as well.

Great Thai with good vegetarian options at a very decent price and friendly staff. Options for vegetarian food are many and the quality of the food and taste is good. Very close to Universal studios which is great and convenient

Multiple food blogs have lauded this spot as having some of the best boat noodles in LA, and so my sister and I had to check it out. Came here for lunch on a Saturday around 2pm and there was no wait. There’s a small parking lot with some dedicated spots for other businesses, so be mindful of signage. Otherwise, there’s metered street parking. We ordered the crispy rice salad, pork boat noodles, and pad Thai. You can customize the spice level and we went with a medium for the boat noodles, and mild for the Pad Thai (which was still on the spicier side). We asked for the boat noodles to come with no pork liver but a couple of balls still snuck through, which was fine since we saved them for our dad. The broth was very umami and you also get to pick the type of noodles you’d like. The crispy rice salad came with a lot of pork and had cut cabbage on the side for you to mix yourself. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. They do accept credit cards now although you can still bring cash. There’s one single occupant restroom available in the back through the back door. They’ll bring your check when ready and you go up to the counter to pay. Overall, a super tasty restaurant with boat noodles that are hyped for a valid reason.

Thank goodness for this place since there aren’t many eateries in the area. Efficient service on a Sunday evening. I got the duck with flat noodles: the broth was tasty but it could’ve used more noodles. Beware, their mild still has a kick.

I was back in Bangkok. I lived many years ago for a year in Thailand and have searched for the wide noodles of well made Pad Se Ew. And this is the first time I have tasted these noodles like they are in Bangkok! They made me a mix of sorts- shrimp, chicken, and a bit of ground pork. You can get it with just one choice as well The red curry was full of flavor- with lots of yummy bamboo shoots, peppers and basil with chicken as our choice of protein. The restaurant is located in a small strip shopping area in the back corner- what a find! I will be back anytime I am in LA again!

If you wnna try the original Thai food, this place is an answer!! Highly recommended!!!! For dessert, we recommend rice ball with egg in sweet syrup, its the best!!

Walking down Sunset Bld, we looked for somewhere to have lunch. I consulted the TA Los Angeles APP and we were directed to this very ordinary looking place. I was surprised to note it was so highly rated, but as I love Thai food I decided to try it out anyway. Well, the food was superb... fresh and tasty with a complete range of those flavours that characterise Thai cuisine. The service was super fast as well. I don't suppose this is a place for a romantic dinner or a special celebration, but if you're after genuine Thai food, then this is surely the best place outside of Thailand!

good thai with no prevention. service is ok and food was fine. nothing amazing but solid selection. nice ambiance.

Our family stopped in here for dinner as it was walking distance from our hotel and we love Thai food. We were not disappointed. Atmosphere is casual, service was great, and the food was tasty. We would definitely stop here again when in the area.

My favorite thai food place to goto eat at in LA. The tom yum soup with number 2 noodle is a must try. The crispy pork and pad thai are very good. Average price of dishes here are 6-10 dollars.

We stopped in for a late night snack (it is open until midnight) and had a very nice quick and tasty meal. The service was prompt and friendly although my dubious Spanish got through better than English (in a Thai???) which I always find hilarious. The menu is pictorial so you can always just point. It was very cheap and the portions were generous. Great spot.

To all the people out there who want authentic Thai food, or for all Thais out there craving a dose of your native foods, hit this place up. Everything I ate there was super authentic. We ordered many different dishes to share amongst each other, and only had to pay $10 each. One of the best Thai food places I've had in LA so far - definitely check this out!

Delicious Thai noodle bowls. Generous portions, the medium level was very spicy. I had noodles with roasted duck, and a Thai iced coffee. Highly recommend both. Friendly and attentive staff.

The first time I tried Boat Noodles was here, and it was a mind altering experience. These are wildly intense flavors perfectly nuanced, balanced. I don't know how they do it, but they do it every time. The consistency is remarkable. I've tried boat noodles at other thai restaurants in Thai Town, but this s*** right here is unquestionable one of the best things you will ever eat. Everything else is really good too. The Pad Se Ew is just better than other places, so is the Pad Thai. That's not to say other restaurants in the area serve bad food. This is the olympics of thai food, and the technique and execution become the difference between winning the gold or winning the bronze. This is gold medal execution. On the rare occasion that something comes out not as good as usual (and I think that it's perfectly acceptable to fall short on occasion -- VERY RARE OCCASION), It was still WAY BETTER than any other place. And those other places, when they fall short of consistency it's bad news. I've never had a bad meal at this spot. I come here several times a week.

The food here tastes authentic and delicious. The restaurant ambiance is so-so and feels a bit cramped but the delicious food is more than making up for it. The prices are about average. Beware of their spicy levels. Medium level of spiciness here may correspond to very spicy in other restaurants. Spicy-food lovers rejoice!

Authentic Thai food, easy parking out the front. Good prices and delicious. We got take out, but there were a few tables inside. In a complex near other fast food restaurants & Starbucks.

Amazing food and amazing service... spoke with the manager of the location about a mixup from the Eat24 app and couldn't have handled it any better... thank you so much!! I will absolutely return here!

New ownership and a remodel have not affected the food, it's still great. We usually only do takeout here, and if you like Pladuk taute kaprik ( catfish fried with chillis and basil ) this is it. As in Thailand, they have several dishes ready made in the counter display, ready to portion out and take home.

I got the southern sea spicy friend rice and it was just delicious. The only problem -as mentioned in many other reviews online before mine- was parking lol. But really, the food was excellent and deserved 5 stars.

This restaurant is the most recommended one in US for anyone who wants authentic thai taste. We ordered kuay teaw rua nam tok with hotness level 5-7 from 10. It's delicious and real thai taste. Then we ordered rice with grilled barbecued pork with basils, yes, its taste is real thai. However, Sukiyaki with mixed veggies and beef was too sweet and oily. Overall menu of this restaurant is satisfied to taste.

We stumbled upon this little thai restaurant per chance about 7 years ago and loved the food. Since we were in the area again, we tried it once more and had another great experience. Both our noodle soups were delicious, the lady who served us was very attentive and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. We can not recommend this place enough, you have to give it a try whenever you are in the neighbourhood!

went to LA to visit some of my friends. All of them (asian) suggested a go at paord. Fantastic food, had the pork rice (forgot the name) which was absolutely delicious. Didn't stop me from feeling nauseous the next day though :)

We needed some good spicy Asian food and were suggested to visit PAN and were very positively surprised. Food was very good and with all the spiciness we love. We had Chicken Basil, Fried rice, Penang Curry and Chicken wings. There were a lot of dishes we love on the menu and will be back to try in the near future. The only little cloud was the grumpy Thai lady serving us. The Thai guy was service minded. The price was very reasonable. Try it kob kun krab

First times came here and so surprised this is a simple thai restaurant but all my children gave only recommendation to order the rice crispy prok with vegetable and i took the medium hot for the chilly. As indonesia who eat chilly everyday i found the medium chilly was very good and really hot too The best of it is the crispy pork, it was fright and cooked with a simple but taste so good, the best ever crispy pork in thai restaurant, the best crispy pork so far in usa ! My wife also order padthai the fright noodle, also taste was good, the restaurant owned by thai, cooked by thai chef and i fully recommended this restaurant for all indonesia and asia friend who visiting los angeles During a week my stay in los angeles definetely i will come again !

This restaurant is in the general vacinity of “Thai Town”. There are quite a few noodle retaurants around the area but Pa Ord is one of the best. A full menu is on offer. The noodle dishes are especially good. The majority of patrons are Thai which makes a statement.

I had a true thai food experience with just under 10$. Really cheap and great value. Keep it this way! Skip dessert.

I was there with my family last January 2014 and found the resto thru trip advisor. Menu was good and we mostly ordered crispy pork with veggies and Thai noodles. Serving is huge, of course being in America, and food was brought in quickly. The only downside is the lack of smile of the lady in charge of seating us. We were there specifically last Jan 03, 2014 between 1-2 pm and she never smiled and seemed to hurry us up while we ordered. The other staff were quick to offer their smile though so I guess it's just her. Her attitude stuck out like a sore thumb in an otherwise cheery place.

If you happen to be looking for a nice Thai restaurant in the Los Angeles/ Hollywood area then this should be on your list. The food is really nice. Just remember that you are not in Thailand so the servings a significantly large compared to Thailand. That being said, the food is great and I personally like it.

Can't get enough of Pa Ord's crispy pork! I personally don't like pork too much, but Pa Ord's can really got me finished up all that was in my plate. The Thai Ice Tea was also good, better visit earlier of lunch time or dinner time cause it can get crowded quickly.

if you are thai and away from home, here is a must to come. if you are foreigner, try it without flying to thailand.

Nice food, cooked fresh and reasonably priced. Staff are nice and friendly. Ordered the Thai green curry. Asked for it very mild and it still had a kick to it. Was still very tasty though.

One of the staff at the hotel we were staying at recommended this place (she's Thai). I'm so glad she did. After having two weeks of endless BBQS, burgers and typical American food this was a welcome treat. The staff here were so friendly, they are from Bangkok, so I had high expectations. They did not disappoint. The green curry was spot on as was the pad thai. Prices were dirt cheap. Yes the setting isn't anything special but who cares after you have great food!

I lived in Thailand for a number of years and this is as close as you can get to authentic, delicious Thai street noodles outside of the country itself. Service is quick and the food is wonderful for a speedy lunch option. As a variation from the noodles try the Pad Ka Prao, one of my favorite, hard to find Thai dishes of ground pork, fried with thai basil, with an egg on top. Excellent!

I love this restaurant and would rank it among the very best, authentic Thai restaurants in Los Angeles. Parking is a challenge otherwise I would come here more often. If you want to taste real Thai food and not Thai food for the American palate, come to Pa Ord Noodles.

I frequent this restaurant, as well as its sister restaurant (Ord Noodles II in Panorama City). They both serve up the same menu of delicious Thai soups and noodle dishes. I am often the only non-Asian patron at the Panorama City location, and the operators at both locations are all Thai (presumably a good sign when seeking out authentic regional cuisine). Menu items range from $5-$10 per dish, service is casual and quick. They generally do not mess around with spice levels, as even a "mild" spice request can leave some sweat on your brow. So if you bring kids, make sure they can handle the heat! Fortunately, they're pretty good about keeping your water glass filled. You have the option of choosing from four noodles when you order soup: - Very thin rice noodle - Small flat rice noodle - Wide flat rice noodle - Ramen style noodle For a clear broth soup with bright and vibrant flavors and lots of variety, I recommend the #5 soup with #2 noodles. For a sweeter more savory deeply spiced taste, the Roast Duck soup is fantastic. From the rest of the menu, Pad Thai and the Crispy Pork with Holy Basil are also standouts. The Thai iced tea and coffee are sweet, rich, delicious and a welcome respite if you order a dish with maximum spiciness. The bottom line is, if you like Thai food, you should give this place a try.

Best boat soup noodle outside of Thailand .we also ordered a pad Thai that was also excellent . Not a fancy place but a very clean tasty place

While I was on business in LA, I've been to this small, humble restaurant 4 times. This shows how much I love their food here. I've been eating Thai since I was a kid so I'm no stranger to good Thai food. This was nothing fancy but it does have savory, authentic flavor from Thailand. I was very impressed how fast they get the plates to tables with restaurant full and take-out orders but they do. Also, the portion is generous for the price you're paying. The lunch menu is what really most economic, even for duck as a choice, even for under $9. Amazing. You have a choice of chicken, beef, pork or duck and a choice of style (spicy thai basil, garlic pepper, spicy green bean). I had duck in spicy thai basil and beef in green bean. Simply delicious. I went back another evening Sizzling Seafood with rice. Wow, generous amount of prawns and mussels, hot and spicy as it comes on the table. Wonderful dish. And another dish Pad See We noodle dish, so flavorful, beef very tender and chinese broccoli, crispy. I wish I had more time to try their other dishes but I know I'm come back for it next time in town. As for the service, Lek was very nice, always attentive as other staff, always smiling. Lek was helpful in making suggestions to your taste. Love this place!

My girlfriend was craving Thai cuisine and we were lucky to find this place which was a short walk from our hotel. I ordered the Doo Dee noodles with short rib while my gf enjoyed the chicken fried rice. Both were authentic in taste and generous in portion. Although I enjoyed my noodles, I didn't feel it was quite good enough for a 4 star ranking in TA. I thought my gf's fried rice was delicious but also wasn't good enough to escape the dreaded 3 star ranking. However, I would return here in the future without hesitation.

I always visit this place whenever I visit LA. Its been my third time visiting this place. First two visit were good. I felt that this was good for a Thai cuisine. But after I tried several Thai restaurants in the US, this place is not the best. Recommended dishes are Crispy Pork and Boat Noodle (boat noodle is a must as you couldnt get it anywhere else, meanwhile Crispy Pork always selling-fast)

My family of four visited Pa Ord in December while on vacation. We tried noodle and dishes. The foods were great. The noodles were spicy and hot. I ordered a rice dish with no pepper. The price was low. We ordered foods to go to eat our hotel. The restaurant was small and we had to wait 30 minutes outside for lunch. Another problem was the small parking lot.

This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant. My favorite is the boat noodles. Also the holly basil with crispy pork.

Tried Tom Yam, fried seafood rice, green papaya salad. Huge dishes. Very best. Strongly recommend for all Thai food lovers.

If you've got the hots for spicy Thai food, Pa Ord Noodle - a Thai restaurant tucked at the corner of a minimall along Sunset Blvd. - will test your limits. Its dishes are guaranteed to leave you sweaty and flush-faced, and that's if you choose 'mild.' But you will leave happy, even as you wipe away sweat and tears from having enjoyed some of the tastiest and spiciest dishes in Thai Town. Known for its noodle dishes, Pa Ord will push your spicy endurance to the max. Its signature dish, boat noodles, is a murky but magical broth that's host to a medley of beef, fish balls, liver, offals and your choice of noodles (thin, wide, regular or egg) and chilies. If you have to ask how the broth gets its color, you're probably better off ordering the tom yum noodles or even the chicken noodle soup. But be warned. Mild packs a punch, medium means you'll have tears streaming down your face (as the lady at the table next to ours did), and hot means you could go up in flames. But survive you will, and tell all your friends about it. The faint of heart can still be giddily happy with the papaya salad (exceptional; the best I've had outside of Bangkok), crispy pork with Chinese Broccoli and combination fried rice (on par with those served at my all-time favorite Thai place, Sanamluang). The servings are smallish, so you may need to order more dishes. Just ask for buckets of drinking water.

If you dare to open a Thai restaurant in Thai town, better bring your A-Game. Well, Pa Ord brought theirs and then some. Everything on the menu that we ordered was simply great. The pad Thai had that slightly smoky taste that you don't find often. The fried ribs were great, the shrimp paste fried rice was evil and practically destroyed my diet. I could go on and on but, honestly there is no need for recommendations. Everything here is just great. The only caveat is that they seem to have only 2 waitresses on the night that I was there. But they were gracious and efficient.

Not the very best I’ve had, but quite tasty and great price. Ordered with Uber Eats which was super convenient. Crab Rangoon was very crab-y, pad Thai very flavorful, green curry had quite a kick. (Generally love spicy food and Medium spice level was perfect for what we could comfortably handle). Would order from again.

Just finished dinner here. Good pad Thai and pad se ew. Small, fairly plain interior but solid meal for very reasonable price.

This place has the best Thai food for the price in the area. The Pad Thai is what I get everytime and it is incomparable. The Pad See Ew is also delicious. They have a great sweet chili sauce that I like to add for flavor. They're quick and cheap and amazing. The dining area is small but clean. The servers are nice. Don't skip this hidden gem.

We stopped in and were not disappointed. The waiter recommended the noodle dishes and we ordered a spinach and mushroom side dish. The food was plentiful and tasty. This is a simple storefront restaurant in a strip mall. You can order spicy or add some spice on your own.

College food, reasonably priced this is the place for Thai boat noodles, or pork and wanton noodles. Pad Thai is fairly sweet. The fish balls, larb moo, kah Pao chicken and rice are great tasting. The three layer crispy pork with veggies is another good dish. It’s a small but very family restaurant. Got to wait to get in. Popular among college students.

On a recent business trip to L.A. I went to Pa Ord because friends in New York raved about it. When I arrived I was sure I was in the wrong place. It's in a rather run-down strip mall. The atmosphere is like a Chinese take out in New York. But the food is insanely good. The pace was packed when I arrived and I counted that I was one of three non-Thai people there. I can't recommend Pa Ord more highly if you love really traditional Thai food.

Their crispy pork = perfection in LA!! Came here with my siblings and friends, we loved it <3 As an asian, their hottest level is not as spicy for asian tongues. Though I do recommend a medium first if you're into spicy foods. I definitely can't wait to come back here once I'm in LA again. peeerrfection!

A simple, yet great Thai food restaurant. I love eating the Pad Thai and other noodle dishes. I come here pretty often, whenever I want a good meal by my self, or with others.

Yummy Thai food is a small mall. Met a couple of friends for lunch. Had a wonderful meal... we had the stir fry Chinese broccoli with fried pork skin, the flavor of the dish was good & with the crispy fried pork skin was a marriage made for them! We had pad see-ew, tod man pla( fish cake), the sausages, Tom yum soup in coconut milk with prawns... Yum-Oh. Come early at 11am when they open. They are located in a small mall & parking can be challenging.

Decided to treat myself to a take-out and got this! It took me about 15 mins to get back to my place to eat it and THE PORK WAS STILL CRISPY AND DELICIOUS. YUM! I'm glad i did some research and went off the recommendations i'd read online. Can't wait to eat here again!

We were told to try this place out, and it was great. We ordered the pad Thai (w seafood), the pad se ew (w chicken), and the sweet rice & mango dessert. All dishes were very flavorful and perfectly cooked. The amount of seafood in the pad Thai was great. And portion sizes for the price were fair.

This place is tucked in a corner on a small strip on sunset blvd. They are open upto 11pm and always busy deservedly so. It's cash only and the prices are on the low side for a quality dish. I had been here during lunch, evening and late night dinner. My only gripe is the spice level is pretty inconsistent. I always order my dish Thai spicy which is supposedly their hottest level, but it varied from really hot to medium and so on. The noodles are my favorite, but you can't go wrong with the rice dishes either. Be prepared for parking challenges if you plan to drive here.

Came here on the strength of its Tripadvisor ratings and was not disappointed. Although small and simple and in an unassuming location, the noodles are great and service is quick and friendly. I tried the Crispy Pork on the strength of what others have said and frankly didn't enjoy it: it tasted very much like having pork scratchings in noodles. Next time I would get chicken or seafood! Reccomended amongst the many mediocre diners in the Hollywood area.
Aroy mak! Translation; Very delicious!
Had to stop in thai town for lunch, and this place has the best boat noodles! Very authentic and reminds me of Thailand. Prices were so reasonable I wanted to order every menu item, and take some back on the road. But limited myself to a few items. Boat noodle soup, papaya salad, spicy garlic pork with rice, pad kee mow, and pad see ew. Everything was delicious and spicy! I wish it was closer to where I live, I would be eating here every other day!!
