It was very late and I took a chance on ordering delivery. To my surprise, PyP accepted my order and delivered in a timely fashion, even though it was almost quitting time when I ordered and I KNOW that's an awful thing to do to the staff but I had no choice as I had to eat and had no other shopping options due to the pandemic and the time of night. Even though they provided no-frills, the nachos were by far the VERY BEST I have ever had - and I've had bunches over the years. they were so terrific I finished them cold for breakfast the next morning LOL They had steak and not ground beef and the meat was tender and moist and impeccably flavored. Next trip to Seattle, I hope to enjoy this place in person and not in my hotel room.

Our group -- two sisters and our husbands -- enjoyed a few days visiting Seattle and spent some time researching where to go for dinner on the last day of our stay. Pablo y Pablo is so new that we didn't find reviews, just a write up in the newspaper that it was open. We figured it was worth a try, hoping because it was so new there wouldn't be a long wait on a Friday night - and it was within walking distance of where we were staying. We were a little wary because we had gone to the little breakfast place across the street without even noticing Pablo y Pablo, but WOW! We were greeted warmly and seated right away in a pleasant dining room with nice views of the street outside (there is outdoor seating as well). Our server quickly answered our questions about menu items and quickly brought our cocktails, which were wonderful (the women ordered clerico, a not-too-sweet sangria, and the men were very happy with their margaritas). The menu features small plates, so we were able to try several things. The salmon taco and the vegan taco were delectable, and so were the black bean soup and spiced steak taco - and everyone loved the guacamole. A truly first-rate experience! Quick, get there before people find out how terrific it is!

When this Mexican restaurant recently opened in the Wallingford neighborhood, where we are staying short-term, I had high hopes that the food would be really good. I enjoy this cuisine and have missed the easy access to it that I have at home. Alas, a recent takeout order did not meet my expectations. I opted for a small guacamole and chips ($6) and two pork carnitas ($5 each). Though I am accustomed to receiving guacamole and chips for free at restaurants in Arizona, I understand that this is not typical in Seattle eateries. But wherever I am, I always expect guacamole to be tasty and the chips to be fresh. This guacamole proved to be extremely thick and lumpy with a strange taste that did not reflect avocado. The chips were stale. The carnitas came in greasy corn tortillas with much unappealing stringy pork. I liked the staff and the restaurant's atmosphere, however. The patio offers picnic-table seating and always seems to be crowded at lunch and during happy hours, whenever I am in the vicinity. Inside, the focus is on a sleek, modern decor. There are tables and a bar. I interacted with two staff members when I came to pick up my lunch and they were both friendly and helpful. Pablo y Pablo is on the ground level of an office building on 34th Street. It is about a 5-minute walk from Gasworks Park and the Burke-Gilman Trail.

Some friends and I went to lunch at Pablo y Pablo. For $14, I got my choice of 2 fillings for 2 tacos plus rice and beans. I had the pork belly and pork carnitas as fillings. They were so good. The carnitas had a base of guacamole. Delicious. We also had 2 salsa and Their take on guacamole. Also delicious. The service as prompt, courteous and helpful. Overall a great experience.

Delicious & light food, slow service. Great atmosphere, no view but bright and airy inside with large window and high ceiling.

I have been here a few times now, and the food has always been good. I have sampled several of the a la carte tacos (my favorites - interesting combinations), the fish tacos, the nachos (huge and delicious), margaritas, and the chips and guac. I have enjoyed everything I have tried, though the small tacos are my favorite as they combine interesting ingredients and flavors. I also had an occasion where I wanted a non-alcoholic beverage while with a group drinking margaritas. The waitress suggested a virgin prickly pear margarita. It was both delicious and beautiful!

We ate here a couple months ago for lunch and were impressed. This time, not so much. The young, hip wait staff is pretty professional (no auctioning off the food, “who ordered the fish?”). The setting is industrial rustic. The menu is different. We want to like this place. But the duck taco could have included any dried, shredded meat. The halibut ceviche was so-so, but a generous serving. My pork carnitas was under-seasoned, although the accompanying gaucamole was great. But why did it come with a small set of tongs? Our house margueritas were great and appreciated the salt just on one side of the glass. Bill came to $80 which seemed a bit steep for what we got.

Really nice Mexican in Fremont. The salsas are very good, moles tremendous, the pulled pork and carnitas are fabulous. Ceviche is only ok. Wait staff good, drinks very nice. Highly recommend!!!

Busy place that does US style Mexican food. Fish tacos are really good but the highlight of my evening werecthe spicy margheritas - these are really good. There is inside and outside seating and service is quick and friendly.

This beautiful light filled spot has earned its place on the list of hot spots with good ambiance and great food. Fresh flavors, tamarind-ginger margaritas, vegan and non-vegan chorizo, salads, nachos, tacos and more with creative flavor profiles. Try the artichoke hearts tostada, the street corn, fried chickpeas, chorizo chop salad or tacos, or really, anything. Great wait staff. No reservations accepted so plan ahead if you hit the busy times.

Went for a special occasion. Was seated at a table smack in the middle of the waiting area. People standing around waiting to be seated inches from our table the entire dinner. Waitress was completely checked out. Ordered 2 rounds of drinks that took over 20 minutes to arrive. In fact dinner arrived before the drinks. Portions small, very greasy and subpar for upscale Mexican. Lots of great Mexican choices in the area, this is not one of them.

My wife's desire to eat vegan now and then took us to look for "vegan nachos" a while back. Pablo y Pablo offered up a wonderful surprise treat. Easy to get to and park, with such a great team oriented approach to service, it's already worth going. The menu is creative from cocktails to eats, we have now been back several times and find it well worth the drive from the Eastside. My wife loves the vegan nachos and honestly, I do as well. That, plus a couple tacos and you're good to do. The only con? While their deserts are created with the same effort and care, I find them a bit underwhelming in flavor. No worries though, have an extra taco and you'll be full. The service and food are so good, even with (my) issue with their desert, it's worthy of a 5. You won't be disappointed.

Not sure how this place gets such good marks, but it is a sorry excuse for a Mexican restaurant - not sure they even call themselves that. Cheap uncomfortable seats and zero ambiance. We sat inside, so possibly good weather seats outside are better. Service was very slow, margaritas were small and poorly made. I had read about good nachos - they weren't. We had baja fish tacos and grilled scallop tacos as well as a Pablo chop salad. Blah. All extremely small and were average at best. Absolutely nothing here to write home about - except maybe the 20% automatic service charge that goes to the restaurant -- isn't that just falsely showing a lower than actual price for everything? Staff apparently get it - as they don't seem to care about working as they don't get the tips.

I stopped in following the conclusion of a virtual endoscopy (I swallowed a camera) that had required a 24+ hour fast. I was pretty hungry. I ordered the two taco deal which includes salad, soup or rice and beans. I chose the chopped salad which I really enjoyed. I also liked the braised chicken taco. The fish one was good but deep fried which I had not realized and would not have preferred. I should have paid more attention to the description. Chips and guacamole were good as was the house margarita. Service was superb. Not saying this is a destination but if you are in the neighborhood and in the mood, it’s a fine choice.

Overall we enjoyed our dinner, but felt the food could be better. Regardless I’d highly recommend for a date place, as the cocktails and ambiance were great. Cocktails: 4/5. All were good and well priced. Food: 3.5/5. In general the food lacked flavour, and simple adjustments like salt would go a long way. There’s lots of great places that serve delicious tacos or Mexican food, so was slightly disappointed here. Ambiance: 5/5. Great feeling and atmosphere, that feels social and cozy without being deafening loud. Great for friends catchup to date night.

We've been trying fish tacos at a number of places lately and not doing as well as we like. We thought we would try this place and because it is part of the Purple family, had positive expectations. We parked downstairs in the garage. I started with a Famosa beer (from Guatemala) because I'd never had one. It is a light lager that would be very drinkable in warm weather and good with Latin food. I ordered the fish tacos platter that includes two tacos and a side (I chose the chopped salad). This lunch was great. The battered rock cod was crunchy and the pico and cabbage were fresh. The salad was loaded with flavor and variety: lettuce, cilantro, avocado, red onion, beans and several kinds of seeds with a light vinegary dressing. My wife had the baja fish bowl, which is similar to the fish tacos but without the tortillas. The escabeche slaw was tangy without being sweet. Our service was attentive and pleasant. We liked it here.

My husband had been here before, but I hadn't. I have no idea why I waited so long to visit this place?? We sat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon. The service was awesome and the tacos were even better! We will be back!!

The tacos were delicious with lots of choices. The service was very friendly. The margueritas has so much ice in them I had to ask for a straw to drink mine. I felt the drinks were a bit of a rip off.

I had been wanting to go here for some time and had a chance today and was extremely pleased. Be aware this is a popular lunch spot for nearby offices so a late lunch or slightly early will be more efficient. The chop salad was the absolute best I ha e ever had and I have had many. Baja fish tacos were pretty spot on to the real deal in Cabo. Cool space as well.

This restaurant, near where we are staying in the Wallingford Neighborhood, packs them in at lunch and happy hours. Each time I walk by on a late Sunday morning, a line waits to get in. So when we were in the mood for Mexican recently, we opted to call and put in an order to go for a quiet lunch at home. I requested a pork carnita and my husband opted for a chicken burrito. A lunch crowd, likely from nearby offices, had already gathered when we went to get the food. Most sat at outside picnic tables, while a few were in the sleek, bright interior, which has much glass that brings in natural illumination. A to-go bag waited for us but we never looked inside because two employees had problems getting our credit card to work and that consumed our attention. At home, we discovered that a mix-up had occurred in the order and I had been given pork taquitos ($4 more), which I decided to go ahead and eat. The taquitos had good flavor but I am not a fan of deep-fried food so found them somewhat unappealing. My husband's burrito was far too spicy and he could not finish it. This was definitely not the lunch we had hoped for.

Great neighborhood taqueria. Upscale, and hip. Lively but family friendly. Super tequila and mescal menu. The blood orange sangria is simply delicious. Margarita though, a little on the weak side for 11$. So if you like a little fiesta in your cocktail, maybe order a shot on the side, which would make it a twenty dollar cocktail, so maybe just ask the server to tell the bartender to put a little generosity in the pour, because other than that, it’s a great place for dinner. Would definitely return.

The first time I ate there, it was fantastic. The third time, maybe 6 months later, not so much. Having their guacamole previously and enjoyed it, I ordered again. My first bite was into pepper seeds that burned my mouth. THat was new. Maybe I just missed them the last two times, but this dish was loaded to the point where I barely ate them - the guac was covered with a layer of chopped onions and peppers, which I could scrape off, but the seeds buried - no way. The waitress offered me salsa instead, which I declined. My enchilada actually didn't taste good. My beverage was good - a cuban libra. And the wait staff was actually nicer this time then previously, which is good because your propina is not discretionary - they include 20% in the bill. I'm happy to pay for good service, and always do. I tipped 30% for breakfast recently - so tipping isn't the issue, but I am not fond of being told what to tip. This was not the Seattle mandated fee (which is built in to the cost of the meal). This is a tip where 12% goes to the server, 4% goes to the support staff (bus people, hostesses, etc.), and 4% goes toward their health care and benefits which are not included in their $15 an hour wage. It is common for the tip to be split by server and staff, it's a new thing to have part taken out to support their benefits. Anyway - it was a surprise, and I would likely have left probably a little more as I was by myself and taking up a table - however the whole experience, in toto, left an unsavory taste in my mouth.

It's the worst Mexican food. Never revisit this awful place. Our waitress was courteous and service was OK. There are other great restaurants in the area.

Fresh ingredients, adventurous taco creations, plus numerous appetizers Upscale trendy. Creative cocktails. Your priority, whether drink, appetizers or full dinners. Very popular.

I forgot to take photos but we loved our evening. The food was excellent and the drinks.... swoon! Be sure to have an Ultimate Ninja!

Stopped in this place with a friend to have a late lunch, and we were pleasantly greet and showed their afternoon bites menu! Lovely list of cocktails, and small plate offerings. We both had different tacos that were awesome, and shared some guacamole! Chips were so fresh (homemade I think) and the corn tortillas were to die for!! Everything was fresh and so tasty, and service was impeccable. Try it you won’t be disappointed!

The servers were nice but very slow, rarely checked back and we had to remind them about a dish. This is definitely the worst service we have had in recent years so we would not return. The atmosphere and food are good ( not great). The food is good quality but a bit too bland for our tastes.

As this restaurant does not take reservations, we popped in one Friday evening expecting a long wait and were told it would take one hour for a table. We waited patiently, ordered a couple drinks, and watched as one table after another (3 in total) paid their bills but did not leave. 90 minutes later, we were brought a bowl of stale chips. Finally, nearly two hours later, I left (as I had to wake up early the following morning). My girlfriend and friends stayed, and the next day said the food was not worth the price and certainly not worth the wait. The vibe is pretentious and the food does not seem like anything special.

Though they have a vast tequila menu, they serve the smallest little pour on in the tiniest cup ever brought to a table. For the price of their pours do yourself a favor & just go buy a good bottle & enjoy for so much longer. My husband regularly sips tequila & this was the worst he has seen yet. The food is good, the nachos spectacular & the ability to order a la carte tacos is nice so everyone in the party has the choice to go big or small. If you want a drink, grab a margarita - they are strong, flavorful & a much better value than their tequila selections.

One of the nicest Mexican restaurants we've tried in seattle. Went with a couple of friends for an early dinner. Highlights of our meal included these little peppers which were absolutely delicious. The tacos are also really good and we tried the soft shelled crab and halibut tacos. Next time, definitely going to try the shrimp tacos as well. Loved the place:)

We started with custom margaritas that included blood orange and habanero. Excellent, not too sweet. Super comfortable, somewhat casual and perfect spot for people watching. The nachos with steak added was so good I had to go back 2 more times on my visit. Cheese on every layer, not just on top. It’s also located near a walking path along Lake Union to you can walk your glutinous guilt off.

A little pricey, but the black bean soup and the fish tacos are very tasty. Didn't love the fake chorizo taco though - I suspect perhaps it was the cashew cheese that gave it an odd flavor.

We stop by for an early quick lunch. Within minutes place was packed & people were being turned away. Ordered the taco y taco special (choice of two tacos, chopped salad or rice & beans or cup of soup). He opted for steak and fish taco. I chose chicken and carnita tacos. Steak & carnita won rave reviews. Chicken was good, although not as interesting. Fish was just okay. We both opted for the tortilla soup which was really more of a stew with excellent flavor and interesting play of textures. Had it been hot we would be raving about it. Salad at adjoining tables looked good. Not a lot of personality in the wait staff, definitely not looking to earn big tips. No smiles. On flip said, also did not ask the annoying question, "how are your first bites tasting?" Will come back to try the bigger dinner menu. $35 seemed a bit high when you're used to great taco truck meals.
Great food and service
The food and service were great. The restaurant has inside and outside seating and was full when we were there on a Tuesday evening. The restaurant is also nicely decorated. We came here as we were visiting Gas Works Park and the restaurant is an easy walk from that park.
