Almost every time I’ve come to LA over the last 10 years I come here for breakfast. Simply the best Diner in town. Great food and excellent service.

Great atmosphere. Good food and fast friendly service.I did not eat much, but what I saw my colleagues eating looked quite good.I'm sure this is a busy breakfast joint on the weekend.

Food was not over the top. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No bloody Mary's. Very close to Pacific inn hotel.

We went there for lunch and ordered salmon and some other seafood. The food was so tasty and we loved it so much! Surely recommended!

Great steak & eggs, great carne asada, great tortillas, and lovely waitresses! And oh yeah, ocean breeze!

Just back from breakfast at this little gem of a diner and felt like I'd been transported back to the good old days...when people talked to one another. It felt like 'Cheers'...the TV show. A friend who works in San Pedro recommended this place to us when we asked for a place to grab an early decent breakfast before dropping our son off at the Catalina Express. The winning dish was consumed by my husband...chili omelet. I had a burger. Just as expected. The waitress was the REAL star. She made us feel welcome. The locals having breakfast were fun to hang out with ...the place is small (two booths and stools in a semi circular bar) but there is also a patio out back. We loved hanging out. Also the TV was on with morning show and that was fun to watch because people were commenting out loud about various events, etc. Fun.

This place was just around the corner from our hotel and it is good! Great covered, outdoor envirnment.

The dining experience at Pacific Diner was really great. The clean and tidy environment is evident as soon as you enter the restaurant. The quality of the food is very good and the taste is absolutely perfect. Especially their breakfast items are very delicious. The staff are very polite and attentive to the customers. The service is fast so there is no time wasted. The price is also quite reasonable. This is a great place to spend quality time with family.

After hiking all morning this was the perfect spot to have lunch. Most of the people were eating breakfast which looked great but opted for the burger combo. They make their own dressing for salad and the blue cheese was scrumptious ! The burger and fries were delicious. The only negative is they have one single restroom. Other than that I would highly recommend a try !

A 25 minute walk from our hotel (Doubletree) but weather was nice and food was great. Nice local diner with friendly service

Came by here last weekend. Everyone's meal was delicious. This may be my new go-to spot in San Pedro for breakfast.

Very small. 10 counter stools, two booths. Food is good, but not crazy good. Clean and bright inside. Friendly locals. A little pricey; not diner prices. $2.50 coffee. Side of bacon $3.95. Parking is great. Closed Tuesdays, breakfast all day, closes at 3pm.

Odd place - you would almost drive by it - excellent service, good food and plenty of it - portions are large - reasonable price - ham steak is enormous. Omelettes are great. Parking is a bit of a challenge

We ate here for breakfast. It was super delicious. Many choices so just went with the daily special. Had fresh fruit on the side. We probably should have shared there was enough for 2 people. However, I did eat it all it, breakfast was that good.

I love this place! We ate there twice while we were staying in town waiting for our cruise ship. We had our kids with us and they were wonderful to them. Food was very good and huge portions. This is a must do!

My husband had heard of the Pacific Diner by a news anchor who had recently visited this great little spot. So we decided to take a chance and drive 40 minutes to see how good it really is. We loved how friendly the staff was and you can sit outside on the patio or inside. We did not have a wait and arrived around 9:45 am. We of courses had to try an omelet and each one of us had a different one. All excellent! We will defiantly be back! Thanks Pacific Diner for a terrific breakfast experience.

The food was amazing, the staff was fun to interact with and met some very nice locals to chat with during our meal.

I love this place!!! I live 90 miles (1hr 30minutes) away and I drive to San Pedro at least once a week to eat here. It's a locals place that I grew up with and have good memories of going with my Grandfather. Everyone there know you and it is over all a great place to eat...

Casual atmosphere, great breakfast. Neighborhood place with friendly people. Great waffles, eggs and sandwiches. Not open for dinner.

Pacific Diner has been a popular local breakfast place my entire life (just a little bigger now). Always great food and portions. Had the mexican chicken omelette ($10.50), which included potatoes and toast, and it was excellent. Service was great and always check on us. Parking can be a issue but worth the extra effort. If your from Pedro this is one of top places to eat. Not far from Cabrillo Beach and Point Fermin Park.

I had the huevos rancheros and the sauce was tangy good and eggs over medium just right served with crunchy on the outside hash browns. I was happy. First time here and the staff is lively and courteous. This was memorial weekend at 0800 and I had parking and plenty of seating.

You can't beat good food, great service, and plenty of menu variety when choosing a breakfast diner. It was within a block of Pacific Inn & Suites, which made it perfect for our visit to South San Pedro.

I used to live in San Pedro 30 years ago and this was my favorite place for breakfast! Whenever I make it back to this area, I HAVE to make a trip to Pacific Diner. It is like a pilgrimage for me. Still the BEST Chili n Cheddar Omelette I have ever had.

We had breakfast here a couple of times while we stayed in the area. Food was very good and service was excellent.

I have an old maxim about restaurants that have waiting lineups - either the food is good or the price is right. Well the Pacific Diner has both. Throw in excellent service and you have a real winner. If ever you are in the San Pedro area of Los Angeles, do yourself a favor and go to the Pacific Diner.

We had breakfast. The food was amazing with everything homemade. Friendly service and a reasonable price. Would recommend it to everyone!!

We are staying at the Doubletree before our cruise and wanted to get out of the hotel for breakfast. found this place on TripAdvisor and decided to try it. So glad we did! It was about a 25 minute walk from the hotel with beautiful views. The place is a local hangout with good food and delightful service. Hubby had the John Wayne breakfast and I have the spicy louisiana sausage with eggs. They know how to make hash browns, and the coffee is great! I heartily recommend it.

Pacific Diner is my favorite place. The breakfast and dinner items are very delicious. The restaurant environment is comfortable and clean. The staff's behavior is commendable.

I went to Pacific Diner for lunch and the experience was quite good. The place was clean and not too crowded, so I was able to eat in peace. The food tasted good, but some items could have been a little hotter. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. The prices were fairly reasonable. It would be better if they improved a few things. It's good for occasional visits even if you don't visit regularly.

Specializing in omelets and all of the favorite breakfast plates. Food made to order and brought to you by friendly servers. They also do lunch. Seating inside and outside covered patio on the back.

Huge plates of food. We went there on our last day. Original booth to pay. Crusty bread free. Awesome burgers

This is the place to meet friends High School Reunion! Always fun food is delicious get the omelette and biscuits and gravy. I had the Acapulco omelette with ortega green chilies and chorizo and cheese with guacamole and sourdough toast. Just perfection. My buddy had omelette with bacon, cheese and avocado. Order of biscuits and gravy. And our hash browns.

Warning - this San Pedro institution gets packed on weekends. Unless you luck out and arrive just as someone pulls out of the parking lot, you'll likely find yourself parking on a nearby street. Also, expect to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour on weekends (depending on how busy it is when you arrive and how big your party is). Even with both of these caveats, Pacific Diner is worth the wait. Though Pacific Diner serves both breakfast and lunch all day (till closing at 3pm), in my opinion it is breakfast where they really excel. Whether you like "plain ol' bacon and eggs" or french toast or waffles or huevos rancheros - everything is good (and the portions generous). The omelettes are incredible - my favorite is the Machaca Omelette, with shredded beef in a spicy red sauce, but others I've tried (and enjoyed) include the Chili & Cheddar and the Avocado. I also love the Steak Bits & Eggs. I don't know what they marinate the steak bits in - something similar to a teriyaki sauce but not quite the same - but they are delicious! In addition to the decent-sized regular menu, there is always a long list of specials (especially special omelettes) on blackboards inside the diner. Lots of things on the blackboard have tempted me over the years (beef stroganoff omelette, for one), but somehow I always end up ordering one of my three favorites (Machaca, Beef Tips, or French Toast). Husband isn't much of a breakfast person, so he usually orders lunch - a burger or a tuna melt, both of which he really likes (though if we get there early enough, he does like to order oatmeal before it runs out). The service is always friendly, but if coming on a weekend, be prepared for it to be a bit fast and furious since they are so busy and tables are constantly turning. The building is a bit quirky - the front room started out as a small house, and there have been various additions through the years. To me that just adds to the charm. Unfortunately, since we moved away from San Pedro, we don't get to Pacific Diner very often anymore (we used to go at least once a month - sometimes twice a month). If you are in the San Pedro area and are looking for real diner food with a flair (rather than the typical chain stuff from Dennys or IHOP), check out Pacific Diner!

We had a recommendation from a former resident and they were spot on. The breakfast selections are amazing. The portions are huge. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. I definitely recommend this. Our server was very friendly.

We had a wonderful breakfast the Mr. Had chicken fried steak and eggs and I had pancakes and sausage with a nice hot cup of freshly made coffee we got lucky with parking spot in front. Not to overly busy but as soon as one car pulled out another pulled in. Love to see all the different breakfast plates being paraded by waitresses. Best breakfast place to run into childhood friends no place like San Pedro!

Pacific Diner consistently maintains good food quality. The food is delicious, the environment is clean, the service is professional. Can be recommended with confidence.

I ate breakfast here twice, both on a holiday weekend. The food is nothing out-of-this world, but just a great, hearty, good-ole greasy-spoon diner! The setting is very basic, 50s style. The service is AWSOME & FAST FAST FAST. I look forward to my return when I'm in the area again.

Had breakast here while staying at the nearby Doubletree Hotel.. The hotel van dropped us off and we chose to walk back to the hotel and enjoy the scenery--beach and marina views while burning off a few calories. The breakfast menu is extensive , especially for omelets. We enjoyed an omelet with spinach, mushrooms, cheese and Canadian bacon. It was superb. Service was quick and attentive.

The pancakes were rather tough, and they come with "pancake syrup" instead of maple syrup, but everything else was excellent.

Pacific Diner is a wonderful restaurant is San Pedro!! This place offers exceptional ambiance and tasty food to their customers. I have visited numerous restaurants in the past but I found this one quite special. Great experience!

Good food good prices . Cute little dinner with old time feels. Staff was very friendly fast and attentive. Definitely worth a stop

I live just up the street from Pacific Diner and it is always a treat coming here. During the week visits are recommended, as this place is packed on weekends and holidays. Patio dining or indoors, the service is always exceptional. Food is plentiful and always prepared to your liking. It has a varied menu, with something for almost everyone. On my past two visits, I've ordered the avocado omelet and the bacon and eggs. Each was cooked to perfection. And they did not skimp on the avocado, either! Stop in for breakfast before your visit to the USS Iowa. This is one of the best restaurants in San Pedro. Give it a try!

There is no other place like this. Incredible imagined omelets like beef stroganoff. Been coming for 25 years. The locals love it and there is much to love. Liver and onions, calamari lunches, feta and spinach omelets, great potatoes. Something for everyone. Jammed on weekends. Converted house, so it is real funky and charming. Indoor and outdoor eating. Closed Tuesday and at 4:00pm . Same staff works here forever. A real value place, extraordinary food at very reasonable prices.

Very good food, nice people and service was great. I was not planning on eating out but this lil place was next door and comfort food was the uplift I needed.

Every time I'm in town I come here. It's worth the 90 mile drive. Vickie, Mayra and Rebecca are all great and make you feel like family. Not to mention the food is great.

This is my favorite breakfast spot. The food, service and small town ambience are great! My favorite is the avocado omelette, made with fresh avocado slices, not guacamole. Although, there is a guac omelette as well! I always order mine with a side of biscuits and gravy, so good!

This place has been around San Pedro for decades, and anyone who lives there has a favorite table, inside or out, a favorite dish (or several) and NEVER goes away hungry. There are many Mexican breakfast dishes on the menu, but my very favorite is juevos rancheros, with the crispy potatoes, rather than the rice and beans. Thank goodness they don't post the calorie count, and I'm sorry if even mentioning it waves you off it, but this is a place you go to when you just want to chow down on really good stuff, worth putting in your mouth -- you won't need lunch, and some fruit for dinner, and you're golden~

Very nice diner, friendly staff, great food, and close by the INN I stayed at so it was perfect walking distance! Definitely recommend to anyone visiting!

Went their 2 times during my last trip to LA. The food was expertly prepared and staff courteousness fantastic. Would highly recommend for breakfast.

Went here with my wife for our 12 year anniversary. The food was amazing and the wait staff was professional and kind. It's expensive, so be prepared to spend something along the lines of $200 per person...don't worry, you are worth it!

I eat at Pacific at least once a month for lunch with a group of friends. We love this long standing San Pedro eatery. Their breakfasts are fantastic, as is the burger and salads. They make their own dressings. Have not had a bad meal there! Look on the boards for the daily specials. You can count on a good meal when there!

They have provided very good food as we expected. We ate all days there and the cleanliness is good.

I love eating at Pacific Diner in San Pedro. Always get good service. Both the taste and quality of the food are satisfactory. Highly recommended.

The Pacific Diner is truly a family owned and operated Cafe that has been famous for its breakfasts in the South Bay area for a very long time. It is hard to find this type of diner and food anywhere. They also have a good selection of burgers for lunch. I look forward to having breakfast every year after the Three Eyed Fish Solstice party we go to every year and whenever we are in the area the rest of the year. The staff is great and service is excellent. The choice of omelets is wonderful and they are well known all over the South Bay area. The chicken fried steak/eggs/cottage fries and biscuits is wonderful. The steak just melts in your mouth, everything cooked to perfection. My wife usually orders the french toast breakfast, they also have a choice of several waffles also that are wonderful and Mexican styled omelets. The diner has a good sized outdoor dining area and a very small inside area with a small counter. The parking is limited so be prepared to have to park on the street and get there early if possible. By late morning there is a line waiting to be seated, the wait usually isn't very long but certainly worth it. The staff watches out for the customers even if they are in another servers area so your glass or cup is never empty. The prices are very reasonable especially considering the size of the portions. You will not leave hungry or wishing for more here. This is located near the Cabrillo museum/aquarium, Fort MacArthur museum and Point Ferman Light house/Park area. If you are in this part of the L.A. Harbor area this is the place to go for breakfast or lunch.

Good serving size Fast service Good strong brewed coffee Very pleasant wait staff Oh so yummy french toast Non greasy bacon Lots of parking

If you are looking for something fancy this is not the diner for you. This is where the "locals" that live in San Pedro go for breakfast. If you live in or around San Pedro you're likely to run into someone you know. Potion size is large, omelettes are very good, around $10.00. Comes with a choice of potatoes or fresh fruit, and toast. Staff is really friendly. Never have to ask for a drink refill. Not much on decor, looks kind of run down. We always eat on the patio, there are heaters in the back, so it's comfortable. Able to seat large groups on the patio. Parking lot is very small, there is street parking nearby.

Great food. Friendly service and patrons. Great pricing. The Steak Bits and Chili Verde are my favorite two tasty meals.

I'm in the neighborhood.... never sure when they are open during Jul-Sep (and in the meantime I gave it up after one lunch or late BF there). Omlette are OK but be aware what type of undefinet sauce comes with the dish by my friend. Overall nothing exisiting, all standard - but big poritions. More keen on better quality (slection of indegrient, use of spices/herbs).

Great food! Everyone is so friendly and the service was fantastic! Their meals are classic with some fun dishes thrown in as well on the menu. I felt right at home.

I have eaten at the Pacific Diner for well over 25 years. It is one of my favorite breakfasts anywhere. Enjoy the sea breeze out on the patio, and choose any breakfast - you can't go wrong. Huevos Rancheros, one of the omelets - especially the seafood omelet on weekends, a cup of coffee and I'm in heaven. The diner is closed on Tuesdays, but my (close) second favorite breakfast is just around the corner.

Good place to meet friends, Homestyle and diner food. Good old fashioned place. Cannot miss this place.

Pacific Diner has really nice breakfast and very little off-street parking. I've been there a couple of times, mostly entering in from the rear - alley area. This morning was from the street into the small but cheerful counter area. If you do not want this, go back outside and enter from the rear area. The eggs & sausage patty was very good as was the biscuit and gravy. This is my place to when I am in the area and is one where the locals go.

Very good choice for breakfast if you are staying in the San Pedro area. Sometimes it can get quite busy but that's because it's very popular. The wait staff is generally very friendly.

Been here several times and this is the first less-than-desirable visit I've had. Ordered ham and eggs, eggs over-easy, potatoes, and sourdough toast, dry with real butter on the side. Waitress asked if I wanted salsa and I said yes. Order was delivered with broken egg yolk on a rather messy plate. Toast was dry but no butter or salsa. When I finally got the server back, I asked for butter. She asked if I also wanted salsa. Yes, I said, repeating what I had already told her when she took my order. "Butter" and salsa were delivered. Note to Pacific Diner: Country Crock is margarine, not real butter. The taste of this breakfast was almost non-existent. Nothing had any flavor to it. Also, it took getting the attention of a busboy to get another cup of coffee. And I got tired competing with the two pesty flies for my breakfast! (But as my grandfather Ralph always said, "Relax. They don't eat much!") Couple all this with the appearance of the food and service issues, made today's breakfast experience rather unremarkable. I know PD can do better.

Wife and I were in the area visiting family and stopped by for a bite to eat. Service was fantastic. Typical SoCal diner fare. I had huevos rancheros and the wife had a machaca omelet. Portions were good and coffee was standard diner fare. Would definitely eat here again. Our meals were flavorful and coffee was refilled frequently. The neighborhood crowd added to the diner experience. Was a friendly fun breakfast.

Really down home & yummy place. I've had three things: the chicken fried steak & huevos rancheros and pancakes. All were good; especially the huveos rancheros. They don't skimp on the "rancheros" part, which I find a lot of west coast places do. It's a little pricey for brunch if compared to a traditional diner, but the flavor is worth it. Tip: Take a short walk to the Korean Friendship Bell park before or afterwards and you won't be sorry. It's one of the best parks in LA!

I have eaten many times at Pacific Diner over many years. The food is consistently good. Standouts are the omelets, which are fluffy with perfectly cooked vegetables. The home fries quite good, the rice average, and the biscuits surprisingly disappointing. I try to eat at Pacific Diner every single time I visit San Pedro.

Pacific Diner surprised me. It looks ordinary from the outside but the quality of the food is quite good. Everything tasted fresh. The seating is comfortable and the staff regularly came by to ask if I needed anything, which is a sign of good service. I got good value for the price. I definitely plan to come back.

Get there before 9am to beat the crowd! The food is always great, no matter what you have. Omelets, eggs, pancakes, everything is tasty :) The staff is friendly and so efficient. We get our food hot and quick. The parking is a little tight, but it is definitely worth it!

Pacific Diner is undoubtedly a quality restaurant. The food here tastes very good and each item is prepared with care. The restaurant is very clean and tidy. The staff is very friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. The food is available quickly after ordering. The prices are also relatively affordable compared to the food. This is a great place for those who want good food and good service together.

All day breakfast menu with plenty of choice served in basic setting. Cheery waiting staff enhance the experience. I ate steak and eggs. Steak was rare and tender. Fried potatoes and scones with gravy were very good.

I grew up in San Pedro and have been going there since I was a kid. Great food and service. I live about 500 miles away, but whenever I come back to Pedro for a visit I can always count on seeing someone I know at Pacific Diner.
Fresh and Affordable foods
The place is near to my house so I try to visit this place once in a week. My husband live out of the town so last week when we came house for visiting I took him to Pacific to have dinner. My hubby liked crispy potatoes and rice very much. The decoration is really nice and shooting to eyes. We really enjoyed our dinner and the desert after the dinner. The staffs are really friendly and service is exceptional. The price was reasonable. We will come again for sure.
