Someone told us this was the best fish n chips in Seattle. I believe it. Big pieces of cod cooked to golden brown. Their corona safety precautions are strict and appreciated. A guy at door controls number of people.

Waited for fifteen minutes at the bar to order per instruction sign "order from the bartender before going outside for a table". Told the bartender I wanted a salad and a beer. He poured the beer and then told me that it would take 45 minutes for the food and "would I like to start a tab". I told him that I would like to cancel the beer and ended up paying for it anyway $6 and going across the street where I got an excellent meal. This kind of service doesn't even deserve a star, I can't tell you about the food.

Phenomenal chicken wings. Felt very welcome as outsiders to this bar, but definitely got a flavour of local life

you walk in and everyone just looks at you since you're the new comer. we sat in a small table and ordered a 2pc fish and chips (substituted the chips for garlic parmesan tater tots) the fish is not your regular UK style, beer battered fish. It was a seasoned bread crumb and was tasty! the tater tots, i'm sure it's not made from scratch. It was also lightly tossed garlic parmesan. only a clump was topped with cheese. some tots were just regular fried tots, no garlic, no parmesan. I wish they evenly coated the tater tots this place is not clean but hey it's a dive bar so dont expect TOO much. The waitress / bartender was friendly. overall okay place. If you're looking for a cleaner place, this is not the right place for you.

Bourdain visited this location, which is one of the reasons we decided to visit. Great dive bar. Fish and chips are the best I have ever had!

Featured at one time by Anthony Bourdain during his sojourn in Seattle, this little pub is a great value with the 2 piece fish & chips (large portions) for under $10, coleslaw included. If this doesn't impress you, you haven't priced restaurants in Seattle lately. In addition, the brews were cold and there was good parking for customers.

Stopped by for lunch. Probably the best fish and chips I have ever had. Tiny place which is more bar than restaurant. Very good service. Good beer menu.

It is a perfect historic “dive” bar located in the Wallingford-Fremont District of Seattle, WA. You get to experience the “local patrons” in the Neighborhood in this “old” establishment. It was fun! We will be back

Great fried fish. Great spicy cajun shrimp. A beer for every palate. The place isn't very big but it's comfortable. Really enjoyed it.

Great fish and chips. Kind of like a Panko crust as opposed to the fluffy British style. The fries were soggy shoe strings with the skin on- my favorite! Comes with coleslaw and tartar sauce. The burgers ordered at our table looked good and decently sized. Fast service and affordable prices.

Id probably say its the best fish fry ive ever had. Traveling down the washington and oregon coast ive had probably 5 different cod fish frys, and over on the east coast ive had dozens. Their fish is breaded instead of battered which i love, and the tarter sauce is pretty good. If you’re in the area i would recommend grabbing takeout and going over to eat at the brewery next door where there are nice fires, great beers and lots of dogs.

This little pub has some good fish with a crispy light coating with some interesting spices. It was so good we actually ate here twice in the four days we were here!

The Stranger recommended this place for fish and chips. Having just returned from London where the fish and chips were dreadful I had a desperate need for some tasty and memorable fish & chips. The Pacific Inn did not disappoint. The bartender was friendly and recommended the local Fremont IPA. Very good indeed, check. I reviewed the menu and then I diverted from my original intent by ordering the seafood combination. It arrived at my table hot and crispy, a bounty of cod, shrimp and oysters, all served up on a bed of fresh cut french fries. Everything was tasty delicious and expertly fried. Double plus good. I'll return with friends!

Our group of 9 was in downtown Seattle for a cruise and wanted to check out a local scene. We loved this joint. Very rustic, quite crowded even in the afternoon but we found a big table on the outside deck. Nice table umbrellas which should be adequate if it rained. Ordered at the bar and our food was ready shortly after we settled in with drinks. All our platters were delicious and hot out of the kitchen. Staff was friendly and the whole place had a nice vibe. The price was excellent for the quality and quantity of the platters. Drinks were reasonable as well. I mention we were from out of town because this place was an easy bus commute from our hotel. Essentially a direct route from city center Holiday Express and we were back in no time. Unrelated but I will mention the bus driver was SO nice to stop right in front of the hotel because one of our party was wheelchair bound. App did not let me click Food, Service, Value ratings so I will mention all were 5 star

I drive by this place several times a day while on tour, and one of my co-workers said to check out the fish and chips. I'm on a mission to find the best f&c in the city and as of today, y'all are #1! The coleslaw is good, too...not to mayonnaise-y. The HH2B ordered the spicy fried shrimp, which thankfully he shared a couple. Those were snarfed up immediately. Loved the cocktail sauce....had a bite to it! Always like finding local dives like this...loud and fun!

Quick service and good beers make it an easy choice. Has the feel of a good local dive bar. Have your ID ready.

This place has great fish and chips and a good juke box. and it has pool. Great combo for a good time.

Our group met here Thursday night for dinner. Their were nine of us. My husband and I got to the pub a little early to try and get some seats for everyone. No such luck. We started out inside the pub at a tiny booth for four. We decided to order dinner early before everyone else arrived. (We spend too much time talking and no time for eating). Soon after we finished our dinner, two more friends arrived. We moved outside to a tiny table. The outside patio was packed! A little while later, another table opened up in the shade. By now our group was here, all 9 of us. Minutes later another table opened up, since the tables are bolted down this forced us to split up our group. The table between us, opened minutes later and we where all finally able to sit closer together. This isn't the best pub in Fremont, but it's definitely one of the oldest. The restroom was so tiny, it reminded me of something you would find on a boat. This pub has a pool table with some bench seats surrounding it. The capacity is 80, if you include the bench seats near the pool table. Outside is ok. It does have shade. You either sit on hard plastic chairs or sit on the wrap around wooden bench. Keep in mind the tables outside are bolted down. When our friends ordered their dinner, it all looked amazing! Huge clubhouse sandwiches, burgers just as big and onion rings that put most restaurants to shame. For a local neighborhood bar it's alright.

I felt humiliated in this place. They refused to let my wife in with a valid ID ( a foreign passport). The ignorant person who blocked her entrance claimed this is Washington state law (obviously it isn’t). There is nothing more upsetting than a ignorant person full of certainties. This is a discrimination with foreign people and tourists and very xenophobic. I don’t recommend a place with such badly trained staff.

Great pub food and nice staff. They could make the outside patio a little more comfortable but in general is is a neighborhood staple and lots of good folks make it a welcoming place

Fresh fish, large portions, good value - established restaurant - not like the literal flash in the pans nearby that have popped up with the neighborhood gentrification.

Bar food, but good bar food and the atmosphere is great. Stop by after work for a drink or two and some appetizers. Just a couple blocks east of downtown Fremont.

That's how long I've been coming here for their fish and chips. In all those years, I think I tried one other thing on the menu, but quickly went back to what I think are the best in Seattle. I used to call this dive, the place with the pet flies, but that probably isn;t the description they would like. nonetheless, this is a great hidden????? treasure, and one of my all time favourites. Love to take visitors to this greasy tav, give them a real taste of the NW!!!

The fish and chips batter was too well seasoned. The seasoning overpowered the fish. However, the fish was very very fresh. Unfortunately I like beer batter better. Beer and well drinks are cheap.

Hole in the wall bar, has 15 stools at the bar where loud 30 something men and a few women watch football game and the Emmy awards on 3 flatscreens. There are 4 booths and 2 small tables and a backroom with a pool table and a very small outdoor deck for good weather dining. Most of the people there appeared to know each other. One of the 2 bartenders took our order for their famous fish and chips with slaw and tartar for 9.99 with 3 rather large delishious pieces of cod. Crispy crust, moist inside, best we have had so far on our vacation. It was rather noisy and for this I deduct half a star. Service was quick and attentive, a 4 1/2 star place.

This little pub is something else. You can sit outside in the sun and enjoy one of the many beers on tap, or try the best fish and chips in Seattle. The hamburgers are very good too !

Typical local pub/bar with a nautical theme, nothing fancy. Had some brews and tater tots - brews were inexpensive and the tots were nice & crispy!

The burger was great as were the fish tacos. Several of us ordered tater tots and there was literally NO tater in the tots. Just a greasy deep fried shell. Service & cleanliness was so-so.

Came here on advice of the man at Recycled Cycles. He said it was the best halibut in town, and WOW!! Was he right!! We had just ridden on the Burke Gilman trail all day, and were in need of some fried food. LOL!! The crust on the fish was delicious and the fries were perfect! Fresh cut and crispy on the outside but moist on the in. The slaw was also delicious. I ordered a small caesar, as we were going to share the fish, and it was basic, but really we were there for the fish!

We've been here many times and it never disappoints. The seafood platter is a go-to! This is a great place for locals and travelers alike. Some say it's one of the last dives in Seattle. Love it here!

Anthony Bordain “parts unknown” is going to feature this bar. Since we were in Seattle this weekend, we set out to get some fish and chips. The bar is a bit of a dive. But a dive with character! Limited seating but we were lucky. A booth opened up. We ordered a 3 piece breaded cod with fries to share. Delicious! The breading was great. Light but flavourful. Tasty side of creamy slaw. Add a micro brewed IPA and Diet Coke, we got our bill. $19.99! With a nice 5$ tip, we left fully satisfied. If you’re not afraid to wait, you will have a great pub meal at a bargain price!

Crunchy, tasty, seasoned to a tee. Add a beer and enjoy on the back deck. Simple. Delicious. Nicely priced.

We went to the Pacific Inn because folks kept saying the fish and chips were the best in Seattle. I've also heard that about several other places, from Ivar's Fish Bar to Spud to Totem House at the Locks. I've had fish and chips at each one and every time I've concluded the offering was very good but is this really the best Seattle can do? The three piece fish and chips ($11) was very good. Fresh fish; I think Pacific Cod. Thin cut so they cook quickly and uniformly. Thin, crisp batter with interesting seasoning. A bit too much grease. Served with a good cole slaw and french fries, which were good but not better than Dick's. The advantage over Ivar's Fish Bar is that you can get some very good local microbrew ($5.75). Conclusion: Very good but if this is the best in Seattle there is still an opening for someone who can do better. We chose to sit out on the deck and found it very pleasant. The bar itself is a dark place to drink beer, not eat dinner. Re websport's comment below on English fish and chips - I recall making a special trip out to the West End for what the Lonely Planet said was London's best fish and chips. It was just plain awful. When I commented on this to a Brit he said there are no decent fish and chips in London. You have to go to Brighton Pier to get even decent fish and chips.

Cute corner bar, stopped there for a midday siesta after walking from the troll. Could use a bit more shade on the patio, but we were there in an unseasonably warm and sunny day.

Hanging out in the Fremont area, I was craving a small seafood snack. Then comes along a tiny shack called the Pacific Inn Pub. Nice day out so there’s space outside to sit and enjoy a cold draft beer. They don’t shy away from the portions at all, friendly staff. Fish and chips were wonderful with fries. Unique thing they do is tortilla chips cooked to order (hot from the fryer) with a side of salsa. Very affordable prices, so give it a try. It’s great.....

One of my favorite local pubs. Great beer and great people and an an affordable price. Definitely will stop here whenever I can.

A real neighborhood bar. Unpretentious atmosphere, yummy fish and chips, and a decent assortment of local brews for less than a five-spot. Comfortable and genuine.

I was watching Anthony Bordain's episode in Seattle, and he visited this pub. It looked really interesting, so on my visit on 22 September 2018, I stopped by there for lunch. I was made to feel welcome and the meal I ordered : Seafood combo with fish, shrimp and oysters was truly delicious. Very reasonable price $10.56 for meal and a beer. Thank you for the experience.

Whether it's having Robert, the former singing bar tender ( from Jake O'Shawnessy days) and owner of Pacific Inn, in the booth next door, or if I'm just in a hurry and grabbing a burger to go, I LOVE my neighborhood even more for having this place to go to! BEST fish and chips this side of the ship canal! The cheese burgers here are far and above the 'fancy' and 'gourmand' burgers my little Fremont has to offer. Hubbie comes for the mixed drinks and to hang out, and get fish & chips of course. He covers the fries with malt vinegar mixed with tarter sauce- weird I know. Talk to a Fremontster and see if they don't say somewhere in the conversation ",,,been going there for years, love that place..." The food: great basic burgers the way they should be, no odd secret sauce that is unidentifiable, meat-cheese- tomato and pickles on the side. I never plan to eat the fries- because to me fries aren't very exciting- here, I eat them. Fish and chips have a seasoned batter and are GREAT. We morph the fries with it by mixing our tarter sauce with vinegar. I have also had fish tacos and a sandwich I don't recall. It was great, but creature of habit goes for burgers or fish n chips. BTW- born in Ballard and this is one of the very few places that still feels like old Seattle.

The place looks dodgy from outside and inside, however all the weird impressions were swept out by the nice lady who served our table. Friendly pub with delicious food. Visited three times when in Seattle.
Chill neighborhood spot
This place is perfect for what it is...a comfortable, divey neighborhood spot with a great deck to enjoy the weather, a nice selection of cold beers on tap, and super delicious fish tacos. Love the cheese factor like the CD jukebox. I was in town visiting, but if I lived in the area, I'd probably end up here on a weekly basis.
