Very confusing

By adubb1970 |

So this place gets rave reviews so I thought I was solid in a town with outstanding Thai food. I got the massaman curry and was so disappointed. No peanuts, even though it says it on the menu. The carrots and potatoes were cut too big causing them to be overcooked and hard. The meat was undercooked, thin and stringy. The sauce was bland. Not pumped. Maybe they had an off day or a new cook. Shame

Fresh, great tasting

Pad Thai Kitchen is a very quaint and excellent food restaurant in Portland. We had four different entrees that would of fed six people so I would say a large amount of food is given so keep that in mind when you order great tea great service great stop

Fast, fresh, and tasty!

Going out to eat with 3 little ones is often a challenge. This was out first time at Pad Thai Kitchen. Hungry adults and squirmy, hungry children all enjoyed one of the many choices on the lunch menu. Their Pad Thai hit a home run and it was served hot and fresh by the time we were at the last spoonful of the complimentary soup that comes with the lunch! They are very kid friendly and accommodating along with a reasonable price. We'll be back:)

Superioir Pad See Ew

On a friends recommendation, checked this place out. And yes, it deserves its place in the top ten thai places of Portland

Never once have I been disappointed. Love the Pad Kee Mao...with chicken. The waitstaff are super friendly. Everyone is very courteous and kind. Very comfortable atmosphere.

Yummy noodles!!

By Kathy H |

My family and I were passing thru town and was looking for something light and tasty and I found this place close to one of our stops in Portland. We got Pad Thai, Pas See Ew, and the Drunken Noodle. The Drunken Noodles was a little greasy and wasn't too spicy, but we loved all three!! Would definitely go back!

Quaint Thai Restaurant

We went to the Pad Thai Kitchen with a group of 13. It is a small restaurant so we made arrangements well in advance. The staff were very accommodating and the service was excellent, especially considering how large a group we were. I got the seafood Pad Thai and it was wonderful. The Pad Thai Kitchen is well worth a visit if you are nearby.

Among the best Thai food anywhere!

It was late and we had just endured a 6-hour, traffic filled drive from Seattle when we stumbled into Pad Thai with few expectations. It doesn't look like much from the outside so we were shocked and happy to discover the exceptional food inside. Fantastic!

Tasty Thai In SE

The Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai were all loaded with flavor. The Thai spicy chicken wings weren't overpowering, but just right.

Khao Soi

By Nick E |

We went there for the first time just because we were in the area and looking for food. We were hoping to find some Khao Soi but the menu didn't list it. Luckily we asked and they were happy to make it. It was delicious and just as good as you would get in Chiang Mai. I would definitely eat there again.

Small little place with big choices of food

For a group of four, our meals cost $50; what a deal! The food was superb and there was so much of it that all of us had to ask for doggie boxes. Authentic Thai food at its best.

First Try for Take Out

By Pamela C |

The yellow curry with chicken was mild and very good on a cold night. Mostly potatoes and carrots. I wanted that on the particularly stormy evening that we tried Pad Thai Kitchen. My husband's Pad Graw Praw was spicy as promised, a blend of spices and peppers and chicken. Crispy Honey Wings were too overdone. The servings were generous, more than enough for two people. I think that the cost is average for Portland today, but expensive for the type of food.

Friendly and serious about their food

The selection is huge and varied. Five of us tried very different things and we couldn't cover near all of the categories. The staff was very helpful and the waitress offered to bring me something else when she noticed I avoided the squid in my seafood dish. Nice selection of Thai beers too.

the best!

This is our favorite Thai restaurant and we nearly always have lunch here when we're in Portland! The owner (?) introduced us to drunken noodles (Kee Mao) years ago and that is my husband's go-to dish. He always has the Thai iced tea, summer or winter, and the waitresses mostly know him. I have tried the curries and fried rice and stir fry—I rotate through the menu. Sometimes I will share with my husband and sometimes I just eat it all myself. The atmosphere and staff are friendly and authentic. If you are there on a weekday for lunch, the cup of soup that comes with lunch is extraordinary—lemongrass, coconut milk, small chopped vegetables and tofu! We are usually here, just the two of us, but we have brought our sons and daughter and our granddaughter, whom they accommodate with a sippy cup of water and a LOT of patience.

Tasty Thai, fresh and fast

Came here with family, were seated immediately, very friendly service. Food arrived fast and hot, prices very reasonable. Traditional family run Thai restaurant, go for the food, not the ambiance. Great find for us. Recommended.

Large portions of high quality tasty Thai

By aussieteef |

My husband and I rarely eat out with our toddler who has sensory issues but took a gamble and went @ 3:30pm on a Sunday when it was slow & quiet. The waitress was attentive and the food came out lightening fast. My hubby had two beers, I had a fountain soda, we ordered 2 appetizer plates & 2 mains to share and out check came in at $39. Amazing value for exceptionally high quality Thai food. The chicken pad Thai was cooked perfectly. Rice stick noodles are not supposed to be rubbery or too watery & overcooked but these were the most perfectly cooked pad Thai noodles I'd ever had, perfect noodle consistently with the right amount of stickiness & sauce. The pumpkin chicken curry was TO. DIE. FOR. Creamy coconut red curry sauce base with fresh ground chili peppers and spices, everything was so fresh. Definitely recommend, it was casual enough we felt comfortable with our rowdy toddler there & service friendly & fast.

You will not be disappointed when you go to this great lunch spot. Eating in at lunchtime gives you a cup of soup, but calling ahead for takeout works too. I'm love this place and never had anything bad whether it was fried rice, pad thai, cashew nut chicken or anything else! Try it!

Seriously great Thai food

By fulan |

This is probably the best Thai food we've had outside Thailand. Every dish was delicious. We tried the curries and noodles and other things we can't remember because we were in food ecstasy. Service was very good, but be patient- they are very busy. Definitely worth the trip!

Best Dunken Noodle ever

By neswstar |

forget ordering Pad Thai, their drunken noodle is exceptional. Family, often crowded, take out almost always "15 mins". Tom Yum is good too
