All the food is really good. It's a good price point too. The pastas are awesome. They have nice beer. I recommend the margarita pizza too

Fantastic restaurant

By MarcusKS |

Our family were on vacation in california, and we tried several restaurants, before we found Pagliacci's. The food is very delicious and tasty, the staff is friendly and service-minded, the environment is relaxed. Pagliacci's is also reasonable priced. Overall great restaurant, where we dined for five evenings in a row. Kind regards A Danish Family

Super nice and friendly restaurant. Real good italian food and very nice staff. Definitely very good place to visit while in LA

Friendly pizzeria with very good food

While visiting family in LA Studio City, always go to Pagliacci's for lunch. Have ordered in for dinner. The chicken Milanese with salad on top is delicious. All of their pastas and other main dishes are fresh and tasty. Recommend this restaurant if you are in valley.

Excellent service and delicious home made pasta

By NicksmomLa |

We stopped in at lunchtime on a weekday because we were in the area and hungry. We didn't know anything about the restaurant prior to arriving there. The waiter greeted us at the door, let us choose our table and offered us drinks. Then he brought bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to the table. We asked for recommendations. I wanted something low calorie. He recommended Italian chopped salad which was delicious, full of flavor, yet light. My companion ordered fettuccini alfredo. The pasta is made in the restaurant. The fettucini and the sauce were really great. Very simple but amazing flavors. We added grilled chicken which was lean, juicy and flavorful as well. The service was attentive.

great authentic Italian food

Very nice modern looking Italian restaurant in the heart of Studio City. I had numerous dinning experiences here, food is always consistent. They also make fresh pastas on the premises. Great service, great ambiance, great food!

Excellent bread and tiramisu; good pasta

By teachertraveller17 |

The bread was delicious at Pagliacci's and I think their tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had. I ordered the fettucine bolognese and though every one of my 3 friends was oohing and ahhing over their pasta, I thought it was just good, not great. The prices were reasonable, the service was great and the ambiance was nice. At the next table over, they had ordered some amazing-looking sandwiches with salads. I will try that on my next visit...with the tiramisu, of course!

Good Italian

By janicepk |

We arrived as they were opening for dinner and found a nice table outside. It truly is a trattoria. The wine and beer choices were excellent. The appetizers, especially calamari , hit the spot. The gnocchi and lasagna were terrific- nothing left to take home. Note- parking is tight.

Very good risotto, pizzas OK

By 5121Brownstone |

Had a take out from here after reading the positive reviews. Took 25 minutes and service was friendly. We had seafood risotto which was excellent and pizza which was average. Prices aren't the cheapest. Would recommend, but based on our experience I would avoid the pizza.

Great Italian Food In A Casual Atmosphere

By AgentLightyear |

Pagliacci's is a great little Italian restaurant located in a strip mall. I have been here for dinner and lunch multiple times over the last 6 months and every time the food and service was great. My favorite dishes are the Burrata Caprese appetizer, the Penne al Salmone entree, and the Pollo alla Parmigiana panini. The wine list has many red and white offerings but since I am partial to Malbec I've only ordered the Don David Malbec which was excellent. I haven't tried any of the desserts since I never had any room left after the appetizer and entree. The wait staff was very knowledgable and attentive and stopped by multiple times during our meals to check on us and refill drinks.

Dinner and celebrity citing.

By Isunwin |

My risotto was so good that I took an order of it to go as well. My mom loved her chicken piccata. The bruschetta was nothing special and the caprese salad was ok. Service was very slow! It appeared they only had one server for the whole restaurant. At check out, I noticed that I was charged two different prices for the exact same risotto. I asked him to charge me the lower amount that was posted, but he wouldn’t. Tiny parking lot for valet parking. Did have a celebrity citing though, “Big” from Sex and the City.

Honestly the best spaghetti marinara anywhere in LA, Hands down!

By Vermontlovely |

We live in Studio City and found this place a few years ago after they remodeled. We couldn't believe how good the food was! I always go back for the spaghetti but we also get pizza and other pastas. This is the place to go for good pasta dishes. we have gone again and again and the food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is inviting, the restaurant is clean, and the service is good. Even when there was crazy construction going on around Coldwater we found our way there all the time! You will not be disappointed!

Thank you for these exceptional risottos !

By FredleLyonnais |

From France, and with numerous travels in Italy, I can say that Pagliacci's Risotto is the best I never tasted ! So unique that I décided to go twice, in order to discover the risotto de la mare after the risotto with mushrooms ! Sincerely these are fantastic, compétitive with the Best "grands restaurants" and for a lower price ! Bravo and thank you Chief for this Grand Souvenir from Los Angeles !!!

Great food at local establishment

By RPG625 |

We have been eating at Pagliacci's since it first opened. Unlike many other restaurants, Pagliacci's has remained consistently good when it comes to food quality and service. This is an informal restaurant offering dishes ranging from veal piccata and chicken parmigiana to excellent pastas and delicious pizzas. Additionally, they have a nice variety of reasonably priced wines. This has been and continues to be our go to restaurant. Great food at very affordable prices.

Amazing Food!

By Nicholas C |

This is my favorite place to eat when I come to LA. You will not be disappointed. Friday and Saturdays are packed as expected. Try to go on a weekday if you can.

Excellent Experience!

By Kev and Trish S |

Shared a late lunch here on Mother's Day with my daughter. It was fantastic. The Pisselli Soup (Organic Pea Soup) was very very good and a HUGE bowl full too! We then shared two salads: Burrata Caprese and Invernale di Pollo. Amazing and so fresh! Service was incredible and will definitely be back. The fresh bread that started the meal was the perfect beginning! Only regret was there was no room for pastas or dessert!!! Excellent environment and meal!

Old world Italian

By pacair |

Italian Restaurant with an old world vibe. Took the family for a casual Friday dinner. We did the traditional Italian cuisine from Charcuterie to desert. We all loved our dinner with the house made patas probably being the star. Service was great from the guy answering the phone to our server and the host. We took their recommendations for a reasonably priced Chianti and to try the house patas. This type of place is getting more difficult to find. We’ll definitely dine there again when when traveling in the Burbank area.

CASUAL, MODERN, GOOD FOOD.

By LindaWanderer2013 |

We met friends from out of town who were visiting for our son's wedding. The restaurant is modern without the usual Italian decor. It's not huge so I would recommend a reservation. Parking is very limited but offers valet parking. I thought it was a bit pricey for Italian food but everything is more expensive in LA and the food was very good and worth it. The minestrone is not the usual tomato based soup with pasta but is a lovely tasty, almost clear, broth full of veggies. Lasagna was good; most of our group had seafood something and were very happy with their choices. Prompt service.

Average, but good Italian

By dbartoletti |

Went here for lunch with a couple of colleagues and enjoyed the place. It is a pretty casual, laid back place and the food is pretty good. I had the calamari, salmon salad and split a plate the spaghetti carbonara. The calamari was above average. It was fresh, lightly battered and delicious. The salad was crap. They did not make any effort in putting it together and it was literally salad tossed on a plate with three random pieces of salmon strewn over the lettuce. Poor performance! The carbonara was pretty good and a bit surprising as most Italian places of this caliber usually get it wrong. The noodles used were large flat noodles, as opposed to spaghetti noodles that are typically used, but is was really good and well done. As I said, carbonara is a tough dish to make and I was surprised that they did it so well. Was not the best I ever had, but was right of the bell curve which is good for a place like this.

Great meal after a long day of travel

By Sandy Y |

Walked to this great neighborhood spot from our son's apartment. After traveling all day we just wanted a good meal without having to get dressed upon a Friday night. Pagliacci's did not disappoint! The salads were fresh and the pizza was great. Service was good, attentive but not intrusive. An appetizer, 4 salads, 2 pizzas, and a few drinks - with tip and pizza to take home - a little over $100. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Good food but noisy at times, kinda spendy.

By Joe |

We were seated among some noisy people, but when we were asked to move, we went outside by ourselves! Like a private dining room. My wife had the Snapper Special, $32, and I had the Rigatoni, $19. The Rigatoni was a little underdone, could have used another minute in the cooker, but the sauce was excellent. The service was also excellent, especially since they solved a problem well.

Pagliacci's in Studio City (L.A.): Disappointing Experience

By Julietta |

Today's visit to Pagliacci's in Studio City (part of L.A.) was quite disappointing. I had been there before and had enjoyed a more positive experience in the past. Today, I ordered the colorful and tasty "Salad Barbabietole," meaning a salad with beets. All the ingredients listed appealed to me except for the goat cheese. When I asked about substituting another cheese, I was told that feta would be an option, so I gladly chose the feta. I had seen a disclaimer on the menu to the effect that substitutions might incur an additional charge; however, our server didn't mention any additional fee. Given that goat cheese typically costs more than feta at the supermarkets, I couldn't imagine that I'd incur an additional charge. When the time came to pay my bill, I was incredulous to see that I had been charged for this minute substitution, which in my view, should have been provided in the context of customer service. There were exactly two tables occupied at Pagliacci's while I was there. I would have expected the restaurant to act strategically to encourage diners to return. Although the menu at Pagliacci's was comprehensive and our server, attentive, I most likely will not return there soon.

Great local Italian restaurant in Studio City

By darylmarx |

Walking distance from home. However, there is valet parking. You can get pizza through fish and meat dishes. Wheelchair accessible. Full bar.

Excellent food and service

By Jean P |

We decided to walk over to this nearby well rated restaurant and were not disappointed. Our server, Raz helped us pick wine that was delicious albeit pricey. I had the special meatballs atop polenta and eggplant while my husband enjoyed his favorite, homemade lasagne. We shared a salad with marinated pears, enjoyed the bread with olive oil and each ordered dessert-he the chocolate gelato and I the Nonas lemon custard tart which was delicious. It’s a bit noisy and the tv screens are distracting. Everyone who worked there was helpful and effective. By walking we avoided the omnipresent valet parking and had a nice after dinner stroll home.

Good and Casual

By Ann T |

For a casual Italian meal, you can't beat another one of our local favorites. I particularly like their salad, but pasta and pizza is also good, and they are willing to make slight adjustments to the menu offerings to get it just to your taste. Once or twice we had unexpectedly long waits for our food to come - perhaps they were doing a heavy take out orders that evening? - but otherwise, we've always been please with the affordability and quality of our meals there.

Excellent Italian Food Off the Beaten Path

By Alan Sheinbaum |

Most people who love Italian food, I mean really love well-prepared Italian food, know that it's all about the freshness of the ingredients and the uncanny simplicity with which these dishes are prepared. This is true of fine eating in an out of Italy. So when I mention a place named Paggliaci's Tratoria and Pizzaria found in a small corner strip mall on the corner of Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Moorpark in Studio City California most would immediately turn up their noses. Too bad for them! They are definitely missing out on a taste surprise! The ravioli prepared with riccota and spinich, the penne alla Norma, the Ceaser salad, the mixed green salad, the tagliatelle with pesto were all superb! They are all as good as I've had anywhere, including Italia. Does this mean fancy? No! But neither is well prepared cucina in Italy - just well made. Fancy decor? Fuggetaboutit! But if you're in it for the food - you are in for a rare treat!

Good Times at Pagliacci’s with my Brother

By John C |

I have been a patron of Pagliacci’s since the 90’s but when the owner Steve revamped the restaurant in May 2012 I was floored by the quality of the cuisine Pagliacci’s was serving. Recently my brother treated me to a belated Birthday celebration and we both marveled over the quality of the food and the family like atmosphere encouraged by everyone who works at the restaurant. That particular night we both enjoyed a 12 ounce prime angus choice for the price of 8 ounces at other steak houses and Pagliacci’s threw in the side orders at no extra cost: creamy mash potatoes and delectable asparagus. Adding the perfect complimentary wine (a bottle of castiglion del bosco brunello de montalcino and Le Volte Dell Ornellaia at a price wine lovers will appreciate) complimented a “perfect” meal my brother and I still rave about. Tonight, after a challenging work week, I rewarded myself with a meal at Pagliacci’s that may have outdone the previous “perfect” meal. Do yourself a salivary favor when your in the valley (even drive out of your way a short 10 minutes north of Hollywood) and visit Pagliacci’s at the corner of Moorpark and Cold Water Canyon. Tell Steve, John sent you. And enjoy a memorable meal and family like atmosphere - maybe you’ll bump into Magic Johnson or Dan Akroyd and Bill Murray - loyal patrons when they’re in town. When my life passes before my eyes and I see memorable moments of my life, my mind will remember any time I took time off to taste the culinary delights at Pagliacci’s. Trust me. I don’t have the time to write many reviews - this is my strongest recommendation yet. At your service, John

Consistency is my dining experience.

Love going for pasta on a rainy day- and there are many wonderful choices. Consistency in quality and service mean a lot to me as a diner. Don't have to worry at Pagliacci 's. Reasonable prices for a quality dinner.

Italian food in a local community

By darylmarx |

Ate here with my family. The restaurant has all the old Italian dishes and then some. It is reasonable, handicap accessible and a decent value for the money.

FANTASTIC!!!

Best Italian food we've ever tasted! Great service and didn't take long for the food to arrive. The carbonara was delicious!

Very Nice and Efficient Waiter (Jaime), Atmosphere Jumping and Noisy, Food OK to Good

By Love vacation time |

My wife and I shared a chopped salad, but didn't enjoy the dressing, In addition we shared a Capriccosa Pizza that was just fair. One of our party had the Orata Fish and said it was very good as did the gentleman having the Osso Bucco and a side of the spinach.. The other couple shared a Fettuccine di Spinaci and enjoyed it. The six of us had 5 glasses of wine. We ordered two Creme Brulees (looked good), one panna cotta (just fair) and one Tiramisu that was good. All in all I think most people in our party were pleased, but my wife and I were a bit disappointed. Bill was $255.68 plus tip but that included the wine and four desserts. The rating rather than Average should be Good, but that option is not provided in the above rating categories. Obviously others disagree with my cool reaction to the total experience as the place was packed.

Honeymoon Road Trip

By Purvis1987 |

Visited here on my birthday - lovely food! I had Scoglio Pasta (Seafood) and my husband had a creamy broccoli and chicken pasta. Good prices also! Not to far to walk from the sportsman lodge either.
