The food was phenomenal! So much flavor and love went into it. We loved the tostones rellenos and the tacos de camarón! Wait staff was outstanding and the vibe was intimate and friendly. A fantastic hidden gem for a date night!

Very good customer service, however plates are small and pricey. We order the Ropa Vieja (Very Good) It would been nice with some Balck beans. We also Order the Camarones Al ajillo, this plate comes with Bread if they add Rice congri if would be perfect. They also added 20% Tip, so check your receipt. Overall Good food.

Really delicious, authentic Mexican and Cuban dishes. The portions were very generous. The service and atmosphere were excellent. A little hard to find (it's in the back of a row of shops next to Broadway), but worth it.

Very very nice, the food, location and the hosts. Good experience!! I truly recommend to visit this very nice restaurant.

Had a wonderful meal with the family. Food was wonderful and the service was very good. The portions are nice, not overwhelming. Nice setting, though the location is set back a bit from Broadway, making it slightly difficult to find at first. Clearly the staff takes pride in their craft and product.

We knew we were going to like this place from the moment we walked in for lunch. We enjoyed the food, the very friendly service and the general vibe.

This is a great Cuban Mexican restaurant ingredients are fresh flavors are outstanding and the staff is very attentive. Dinning pace is slow leisurely. We dined outside very nice

The service and food were both excellent. Some of our favorites were the tuna appetizer, ceviche tropical, empanadas, ropa vieja and flan. Our water glasses were never empty. The service was attentive and friendly.

A wonderful restaurant. We visited on a quiet Tuesday night and the food, drinks, service and ambience were fantastic. We both got mojitos and ordered the sopa de elote (fresh corn soup), tostones rellenos (fried plantains topped with marinated raw tuna), flautas de lechón (flautas filled with roasted suckling pig) and ropa vieja (stewed shredded beef). Everything was outstanding. Our server was perfectly attentive as well. We’ll definitely be back.

This place gets great ratings, and now I know why. The food is utterly fantastic. We had the congri con masitas, flautas de lechon, and tostaditas, and everything was just many times better than any Cuban place I had been to before, and equal to all the serious places I went to in Mexico over the years. Go and try them, I can't describe them. Service is relaxed and good. Three entrees was a bargain $60. It's a little hard to find-- the restaurant is at the bottom of a sign listing three other businesses, and it's not large-- dart into the alleyway, parking is along the side.

Fantastic food, creative menu incorporating versions of classics from both cultures. Very nice and clean environment. Service was excellent.

We started with Tostones Rellenos, fried plantain bowls with tuna ceviche and avocado. These were incredibly good. Then we shared fish tacos and Congri con Masitas, a rice and bean dish. Both were really tasty. Service was very attentive. The restaurant is in a small office park with a few stores. Google maps led us there though. Only complaint is we arrived early with reservations and somehow ended up sitting at a table for two next to the rest room.

Quaint eatery nestled in a little plaza on Broadway. The ambiance is quite lovely. There is clearly an effort to make this place welcoming. I tried the tostaditos and the plantanos frito. Both were exceptional. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, authentic, beautiful presentation. If I lived in this area, it would be my regular haunt for sure. Friendly staff was a bonus.

Paladar oofers a unique dining experience that won't hurt your wallet. The food was unique and delicious. My husband ordered the Torta de Pierna, a sandwich with pork, ham, cheese, and avocado with Yucca fries; and I had Aros Cremosa, a creamy risotto with grilled chicken bites seasoned with chipotle. The portions were perfect for a lunch experience. We splurged and has dessert -flan doused with flaming rum sauce and dusted with cinnamon. Neiiof us are flan lovers, but we would definitely order this again! All our food choices were recommended by our waiter, and he did not steer us wrong. Just a couple of odd things-one, it's located in a complex with multiple businesses, and was a little tough to locate, perhaps better signage? And, when we arrived, we were asked if we had reservations. We did not, so we were seated in a small nook between the check in station and the kitchen door. Tight quarters. At one point someone from thenkitchen tried to open the door and knocked my husband's chair. They graciously found another route. Throughout our dining experience there were numerous open tables, and only 1 other group came in. It seemed to us that the question about reservations was a bit out of place for the time of day we were there (12:30 to about 1:45). But, all in all, we totally enjoyed our food and our experience and will definitely add it to our San Antonio restaurant list.
Amazing food!!!
The tacos de pescado were very flavorful with just enough greens and a slightly spicy sauce! Service was excellent, and the restaurant was spotless. The owners might have to find a bigger location in the future once word gets out about this restaurant! The weekday lunch crowd was light, but I can imagine that Paladar gets crowded on weekends with their small space.
