My parents invited me to this hidden gem for my birthday and I must say it was a gastronomic delight! I had ceviche and a shared empanada to start, both were quite good,I followed it by a congrio fish in seafood sauce which was excellent. We washed it all down with a crisp and fruity Chilean sauvignon blanc and finished it off with a trio of decadent desserts. Our server Marta made it an enjoyable dining experience hopefully to be repeated soon.

We heard about this place as being unique and authentic and that the served real Chilean food. We went a couple of times and was always full which is a good sign that people like it , so we waited until a Sunday afternoon past lunch we went in and got a table....that's when the "experience" started! We were completely ignored both at arrival and at seating. We had to search for someone to be interested enough to take care of us. We ordered and got our food, home made empanadas and a Chilean fish dish...both very bland, not particularly great tasting. So, the long wait was for naught! We could have gone to at least 4 outstanding restaurants nearby but we wanted the experience. For us, once was enough!

I enjoyed a traditional Chilean fish delicacy - grilled congrio - in Pamela's restaurant for lunch today. One person in our group ordered the congrio soup which was equally delicious. Congrio looks more like an eel but it's taste is an amazingly good fish. Order the Chilean salad - tomatoes and onions - and a very tasty Pisco Sour to complete to Chilean experience.

Always greering ... nice environment you are treated very professional educated waitress ... the food is sooooo good the pisco sour always on point and the variety of good chilean wines!!! That makes it all .... I definitely recommend it.

The best Chilean food!!! Service outstanding !!! Friendly ., clean., And the food so perfectly good! A must if you are in Miami!!!!

My Chilean friend took me for lunch and it was great. Great service, great food and very reasonably priced. Enjoyed it so much I have taken others. The closest that I have got to Chile. A nice selection of wines to purchase and pay the very reasonable corkage fee.

This is the third time I visit this restaurant. Today we ordered Crema of asparagus, churrasco, corvina en salsa de Machas and sopa marinera. Everything was Fresh and tasty. Waitress was very kind with us. Highly recommended! The bread is homemade!!! Todo muy bueno! Es la tercera vez que visitamos este restaurante. Nos gusta mucho, el ambiente es muy tranquilo y la comida es realmente buena! Lo recomiendo!

Had lunch with some friends who were familiar with Chilean cuisine. This was a great choice. The empanadas for appetizer were very good. I had Covina with crab sauce that was exceptional. We had milhojas cake for dessert, delicious and big enough to share with four. Nice experience very reasonable prices with excellent service. The wine selection outside was very good with very good prices.

The empanadas were ok. The spinach and cheese was the best. There wasn't much meat in the beef one. The chicken was ok. The casserole with corn and chicken and beef was very good. The bread and the salsa was great. The churasco sandwich had way too much mayo on it. The place was packed and there was a wait to get a table. Several people ordered takeout. The desserts looked good but we didn't have any. As busy as the place is they need more wait staff

Absolutely delicious. Transported me back to Chile for the meal. The best chilean empanadas. Fresh bread. Excellent milhojas for dessert. Great service. Well-priced. Highly recommend.

A hidden gem. They bake their own bread. Great empanadas and excellent lunch specials. We also enjoy their home made desserts. This place us a must try.

Every time when I visit Miami, I would have to drop by Pamela’s for the Chilean seafood. They use the best ingredients and service was always great! This time my husband also ordered 2 bottles of the Chilean wine to go with the dinner and they are definitely reasonably priced. Highly recommended for seafood lovers!

The good The Chilean cuisine is high quality. Fried Merluza (Hake) and Mero (sea bass) in crab sauce as well as the porotos (white beans) with onions and cilantro salad are highly recommended. The not so good The service is unpredictable. Sometimes you see waitresses standing talking to each other with a full restaurant without helping any customers. You have to be patient for getting any service item. Avoid the weekends, parking is scarce and tight and the service is better weekday nights.

Had the fillet steak, asked for it rare it came medium. Not impressed. Would not rush back. The service was polite and the deco was good.

Last Sunday we visited this restaurant and it was and excellent choice. The food was delicious, starting with a seafood empanada and later a fresh fish in white sauce with crab meat was super, well presented and a fresh flavor like no others. We had to wait to be seated but the service was excellent , the restaurant is small but you can feel a really warm and friendly environment.Thank you to the management and staff.

Must try the desert "milhojas" with dulce de leche, the best ever. The other deserts are also good and the empanadas

We went to a early pre theater dinner and was pleasantly supprised. The house pico de gallo and rolls was so good we asked for a larger serving. Then a large house salad of half avocado filled with shrimp salad with potatoes with a topping and tomato arranged on a big plate with lettuce. We shared a big plate of grouper fish with a wonderful mustard sauce. Devine!! The house wine was good and only $5 a big glass. Next time we will buy one of the many Chilean bottles of wine and pay the $7 corkage. The desert was home made in there bakery. A real find!

Our group of tennis players (9) had a luncheon here last week. Situated in a small strip mall, the outside is unassuming. We started with the best Pisco sours ever! Then, fabulous empanadas (huge and filling). Our choices were cheese, but meat filled were also excellent. The restaurant specializes in fish dishes made in all choices (grilled, fried, baked, with and without sauces). Pamela herself visited our table. She started out making empanadas in her small apartment ove and eventaully was making a 1000 empanadas a day and selling from her home. Over 46 years she has built this excellent Chilean oasis. Prices are low, and the food and service were excellent.

I am a Chilean woman that has not lived in Chile for the last 36 years. I was invited to Pamela's by a USA-Chilean couple that resides in Miami. I was very, very pleased. I had "locos" a Chilean native delicatessen mollusk. My favorite in the whole wide world since I was a child. Although it was the canned version, it was wonderful in taste and served in the pure Chilean way on a lettuce bed, with boiled potatoes and home-made mayonnaise. I requested green sauce and it was provided no questions asked in the purest Chilean style (this is seasoned onions with cilantro). My party had other dishes that resulted equally tasty and well prepared. The servings are large, i.e., I could not have a second dish after my Locos plate. The wine selection is best in the world if you like Cabs, Merlot and Whites. The desert truly Chilean, included Chilean papayas, and they were very well prepared. The price is more than reasonable in general and a true gift for those of us who know about Locos.

WOW. Very authentic Chilean food. Right on par with feeling like you are in Chile. Service was excellent.

I Love this place. The food is great and so are the piscos. I married a chileno. I could come here every week. The desserts are super yummy. Best empanadas & pisco sours.

Stopped for lunch, the small restaurant Was clean, fast, efficient service But the food was not very good, Maybe we ordered the wrong entrees As we saw other people enjoying Their choices. The Fried fish, Was frozen and had bad taste, the Grilled chicken, dry and not even A little parsley to make it more Appetizing. The spinach empanada Was the best.

Excellent food, they also have a variety of great wines. The Customer Service is good. In general they have a very courteous and friendly staff.

Not much to look at from the outside this charming little restaurant packs a culinary punch accented by a pleasant friendly staff and management. Obvious tourists, my family and I stopped by before getting to the airport and were welcomed with a selection fresh sweet Delectables. The presentation of eggs and ham plus fresh grilled bread was classic Chileno. Fun and tasty for breakfast. I would like to have had the opportunity to return for dinner.

Returned recently after the pandemic! The quality of the food has gone down tremendously. The portions are now very small. The prices are extremely HIGH! The service awful to outrageous! My wife and I will never go back to this God forsaken place, what a horrible disappointment!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been coming here for years for some good authentic Chilean food. y father is from Chile and I have traveled there many times, so I have a good foundation for judgement. The empanadas de Pino (meat) are just like in Chile. The empanada does have a slice of hardbolied egg (quarter cut) and a black olive. The cheese empanada is delicious, but must be eaten hot. The Pebre (think pico de gallo but with a little kick) as great to add to the empanada de Pino. The sandwiches (barro luco) are great. Be sure to ask for "palta" which is a Chilean version of guacamole but with no tomatoes onions. I am not a seafood guy, but my parents are and they love the "locos" there (a mollusk). The fish looks great and my mom loves it. The steak is good there too. Definitely order a pisco sour for a little dinner accompaniment. I am not much for sweets either, but if you are so inclined, the "torta de mil ojas" (tort of 1000 sheets) is probably the way to go. ALL of the food i have ever tried there is exactly as you would have it in Chile. Order and enjoy!

When my guest told me that this restaurant/deli has been in the same spot for 26 years, I could not believe it! And don't listen to people who say they only speak Spanish -- that is not the case. All the food is freshly prepared and the bread is baked in house -- it is for sale too. Enjoy the fresh fish -- corvina (sea bass) is the star. I had it a la plancha but there are several options. The wine list has some nice surprises -- I went for the house dry white Chilean that was decanted. They also serve a cordial made with pisco (A fermented wine that is distilled into a high proof spirit). I don't normally judge a place by its alcoholic offerings but if I did, this place gets 5 stars.

That I know of, there are two Chilean restaurants in Miami. This one is my favorite. Why? Everyone that works there and eats there is from...Chile! The tv that's playing is Chilean and even though I haven't been to my country of birth in a long time, this place makes me feel a little closer to it. Did I mention it's super affordable and the food is amazing????

Great food from Chile. Probably the top spot in Miami if it was up to me. My dads choice for his weekly empanadas pick up. Will be back! Never disappoints if food quality or service. AA++

I have lunch today at Pamela's the place is beautiful and very clean , the services wonderful all the girls are very kind and nice very happy and helpful. But I was very disappointed with the empanadas de Camaron con queso that is not how is the real Chilean empanada , the pastel de choclo no very good but I have to say that the churasco and salad was really really good.

Warm environment, excellent service and friendly people . The food is great, wide wine's selection and no expensive at all. I had grouper in shrimp sauce which was very good, also had empanadas (as entries) and as dessert we asked for the milhojas cake...OMG delicious!!!

Great food, great service, great prices. I can't complain. From the moment you walk in people greet you. The service was great and the prices are too. I compared the wines with vivino app and they were below the prices. Great selection and they had like a mini bakery so unhook bread home. I would recommend this anyone and I'll be back soon. Feel kind of like family there.

This is a Chilean Restaurant...my husband is fromm Chile and we're looking for some Chilean food. Food is really good.. they also have sweets and Chilean products to purchase. We had some Meat Empanadas and cheese. They were soooo delicious. Really recommend this restaurant....

I was visiting a friend in Miami and we were looking for a little breakfast place mid-week. We found Pamela's just down the road in a strip mall. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it was very charming inside. The waitress was incredibly nice and patient as we asked a few questions and ordered. She only spoke Spanish and we speak enough to get by but other employees spoke English if we had needed them. My cortadito (Cuban coffee) was delicious! I had a pila with fried egg and ham and my friend had his pila with scrambled eggs. Pila refers to the dish it was cooked/served in. They were fresh and hot but a little bland until we got the home-made salsa. It was vinegar based and quite delicious. I would definitely go back, possibly for lunch or dinner. There was also a counter with beautiful desserts that looked amazing.

I wanted so much to love this restaurant especially since so many people have recommended it to me as a family gem! I came for lunch by myself since I was in the area and the place was absolutely packed. I told the hostess it was just me dining alone and proceeded to wait twenty minutes until I noticed that she was sitting others before me. I understand that larger parties should be seated at the larger tables but she seated two couples before me at a single table I could be placed at. I finally was seated, handed a menu and some bread with salsa to munch on without ordering my drink. I didn't mind at the time though since I was so hungry and happily ate the Chilean bread----the salsa was delicious and had a nice bite to it. It became a problem when I waited 25 minutes at my table looking to put in my drink and lunch order. Finally, someone noticed me after trying to wave down multiple staff. I ordered the shrimp empanada (which I noticed everyone in the restaurant ordering these gigantic empanadas), the mariscos de crema (their menu is very seafood based), and the lomito (pork) sandwich. It took another 28 minutes before I got my food at which point I was literally on the verge of leaving and packing up. I got the soup and sandwich at the same time then the empanada last. My soup wasn't ver warm which made me think it had been sitting out for sometime with my sandwich waiting for someone to deliver it to me! The soup had great flavor though and was the only star of my meal with an assortment of seafood in it. The empanada also had good flavor but there wasnt much shrimp in the filling and the dough was undercooked. The sandwich was just sad.....the thin piece of pork they used was pretty dry and became chewy so it was hard to bite into the sandwich. The only redeeming factor was the whopping amount of delicious avocado they used so I felt that I was essentially eating a vegetarian sandwich. Maybe I caught them on an off day, I'm not sure what really happened considering all the rave reviews on here but I don't think I will be returning which is a shame since I don't know of many local Chilean restaurants! I when to have lunch yesterday, 1/26/2020. I have 2 empanadas 1 meat, and the other chicken, to be honest, the empanadas don't have taste, no flavor at all the dough totally unflavored, I didn't like it, the cream of seafood was ok. the fish with cilantro cream, Ok also, but I ask for must potatoes and it tastes like a box, I believe it makes it out of the instance mash potatoes box. The desert was good but frozen , didn't enjoy the flavor. the service very slow. Prices are decent, be careful the add the TIP, to your bill. In general speaking, I will save my trip to the restaurant.

We went to Pamela restaurant for lunch to eat empanada and pastel de Choclo. Empanadas were very good but pastel Choclo, the corn was not the traditional corn that they use in pastel de Choclo in Chile, it seems like that was a stretch with flour because had a flowery taste but not the traditional corn taste that we use in Chile. A little bit disappointed and we didn’t eat it all.

From the moment you walk in, amazing customer service! It makes you feel like you are family. The food is exquisite. The prices for the food, wine & dessert are just right. We will most definitely return with my family! Thank you to the staff :)

Stopped in today during my vacation in Miami. My husband is from Chile and was so excited to try the food. We came in for a quick bite to eat but the food was so amazing, we stayed for an entire lunch! The empanadas were delicious, Pisco Sour amazing, and bread with pebre was to die for. Our waitres, Karla, was so nice, she really made the the time special. We will definitely visit here again.

Visiting my sister here in Coral Gables and this is one of the spots she said we had to visit. I've never had Chilean food and I'm game for anything once but this place will not be a one time only stop. My wife and sister shared one of the house specialties, my daughter and grandson shared a steak (that was perfect ) and I had grouper in a creamy crab sauce which was the very best I've ever tasted. The menu is varied and great. If you ever get to the Miami area you should find this place and eat here at least once. It's worth the finding.!

if you want food made in the kitchen and if you enjoy Chilean food then it is the place for you.Food is always very good even when very simple. You can have a fish a la plancha , or a grilled fish with seafood sauce, or any meat dish , grilled or stew, you can have the choclo, the traditional dish. Actually there were never a time that I was disappointed with a dish. they offer also beautiful selection of wines and never leave the table without a dessert, personally the "meringue y lucuma" . and when you leave the restaurant just buy a couple of bread for the next morning breakfast of a late snack with jam or cheese. The service is always pleasant and if you know the idiom you will be for some treat. for me the place is really a stop in case you are in the area, and if you organize a party then their empanadas in the oven with some of the main sweets and your guests will be seduced.

Pamela's is the only Chilean restaurant in Miami, as far as I know. It is located on a small shopping plaza on Bird Road, or SW 40 St, and have free parking. The restaurant is not that big. Nice casual environment inside. There is a deli and bakery inside as well. The food is great. Starting with the Chilean style bread, which is very good and is served free of charge. The Chilean empanadas are quite big, tasty and reasonably priced ($2.50). My favorite food is pastel de papa (served on a deep dish, with a growing beef base, topped with a thick layer of mashed potato. It is similar to a shepherds pie. Another favorite is pastel de choclo. Prices are reasonable. About the service, o well, that's another story. I noticed they only have female waitresses. Service can be very slow and, they do not pay too much attention to details. For example, I asked for food to be prepared without egg and, the plate comes with eggs inside. Out of 6 times I have visited the restaurant this year, it happened 4 times. When I complain, they just apologize for the mistake but, do not offer to change it. It seems they are used to do what they want and, they do not care much. In general, food is great with reasonable prices. The only thing I would change will be the service. Also, make sure you are well informed about ordering just a glass of wine. Customers next to me complained once about the price.

A place to relax, talk and eat delicious. Service of excellence, directly by Pamela, its owner, a remarkable Chilean lady. With the best of the original flavors of Chilean food, bread, wine and seafood, you will find a varied menu. Affordable prices in a typical restaurant where you can eat like at home. In Chile they would say it is a "picada" but in reality it is an excellent restaurant. Highly recommended, especially for those who visit Miami.

Do not get a bad impression of this place because of its location. This is as real as any Chilean restaurant can be. The food is excellent with all the details and freshness of the local flavor. The congrio is absolutely delicious as well as the empanadas. Do not leave without having the classical pizco sour and a mil hojas. Service is friendly and quick. Price is very reasonable for the size of the portions.

We ate here for the first time on Tuesday June 19, 2018. The service was exceptional, pleasant, friendly and fast everything you would expect from a restaurant experience and more. They made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. The food was excellent. Fresh and delicious and on time. The place was clean and tidy we couldn't have been more satisfied. We will definitely be coming here again! Prices are reasonable as well which was fantastic when you take in to account the quality of the food. Can not wait to try out everything else on the menu.

I love the food but the service from the waitress Lorena was Horrible. We had to wait and wait several minutes to have more napkins, the dessert and the bill. We barely see the waitress so I have to ask another waitress for help. Terrible service.

Transporting customers to Chile in an instant. Not much change here, very well done, especially if you want an authentic Chilean food experience.

This is not your typical spanish restaurant, it is Chilean. The food is amazing - you really have to try "Pastel de Choclo" and their "Empanadas de Carne" you will not be disappointed. I you like seafood my favorite is "Congrio Frito" Hope you enjoy!

Well done & very authentic experience of Chilean food & how Chilean food & restaurants present & prepare food. If you are thinking of visiting Chile & have a stopover overnight in Miami this is a great preview of Chile.

I left Chile more than 10 years ago and I live in Europe where I have never found a Chilean restaurant. I was in Miami and I heard about this one. The location is not great, but I decided to go anyway. I simply loved it. It remind me of my childhood. Their food was simply delicious and the service, specially Mrs Rosario, was great. Chilean food is not quite diverse, but can be very tasty. Here from the bread to the desserts you will feel like you are in the central part of the country. Definitely worth the drive and I can't wait to go back.
The Best
Best Chilean Restaurant in USA. Don't even bother to go to the other Chilean restaurant in Miami. Portions are generous, prices are good and food is very good too. I have also tried in DC, Maryland and New Jersey and this is still the best one.
