This place allows you to build your own plate and make the selection you wish from a fresh Buffet of food including fresh meat. This includes rice and beans, lamb, chicken, and beef. Great place to eat while at the market.

I ate there a week ago while in town visiting, and I can't stop thinking about how good it was. I do not like standing in line to order( and the line is long and slow) but the food IS REALLY GOOD. Brazilian with a selection of Beefs and Chicken dishes. The SPICY ckn. and Sirloin were great. The bacon wrapped ckn was dry so avoid. What takes so long is all the sides people are deciding on. Potato salad, baked squash, grilled squash, pasta salad, marinated beets, ckn stroganoff and the great Portuguese cheese bread balls. So much more too. It is by weight and isnt cheap but I will go back for sure next time I am there. Located in busy GROVE Farmers Market.

Farmers Market is such a great place with so many fabulous spots to stop and eat. Pampas is high on the list of great choices. The line can be long and slow but the service is great and so is the taste.

OMG this place is awesome. I have never tasted anything as good as the steak from here. Always the first place I visit when in LA. Good quality meats too. Queues are often long but they go down real quickly so don't be put off. Love this place.

I found this place by mistake and returned there three time in the same week. It's very casual in the middle of the Farmer's Market, but it's the best.

We ate here at the farmers market. You go through life a cafeteria line and pick what you want and pay by the pound. Some items were delicious some were bland. If you were a local and came a few times and could know what was great and what was bland I would of rated it better.

Amazing food!!!! This is the real deal. Everything that I tried was fabulous: picanha, linguica/sausage, pao de queijo, aipim frito. I wish I had discovered this place before!

Good picanha and has some of the traditional staples of Brazilian food. Probably about twice as expensive as you would have expected when you get to the cashier. Tastes similar to Fogo or any other decent sit-down restaurant, but Pampas is more expensive for the same food.

We stopped here for lunch whilst visiting the farmers market. The queue was long, longer than anywhere else but it looked so good I had to try it. You get a plate and help yourself to salads and veg and then choose what meat you would like from the BBQ. You pay by the pound I think about $9 a pound. The salads are fresh and constantly replenished and the meat is to die for, you can have your beef, rare, medium, well cooked... how you like!! I can see why the queue was so long but I would do it again.. its sooo good...

Yummy yummy for the tummy...love everything here. Picanha and Alcatra are the bomb. It's not just the taste but also the food is pretty affordable for LA food.

Perfect place! Typical Brazilian churrasco! What a wonderful picnic. I loved the experience. I'll tell everyone to come to LA.

Super food. I really loved what I ordered, it was tasty and in time. According to prices it was expensive but with great selection. The quality of the meat in this restaurant was nuts. The service was good at all

After reading several reviews on how best to fill your buffet plate here to keep cost down, we still ended up paying $28 for two plates and one soda. We added two kinds of salad, garlic rice, 1 cheese ball each, one garlic bread, and collard greens, then meat - two kinds of sirloin in small portions, and 1 small piece of garlic chicken. Our plates were definitely NOT heaping, so unless you leave out meat entirely I'm not sure how some manage to spend less. For taste and quality of food, we just weren't blown away at all. The sirloin cap was the best, but the sirloin strip had too much fat and the edible meat was tough. The bread was so hard I feared for my caps. Hubby is a real meat lover so I thought this would impress him, but we agreed afterwards we wouldn't go back. Just would never be our choice for a good meat dinner. Plenty of parking on a busy day - if you buy something or eat, your ticket will be validated. Staff is efficient but all business. Limited seating, but we were lucky and got a table right away. Overall , we were disappointed.

We had the lamb and it was wonderful! The side items were also delicious. We loved the fact that we could get Brazilian food without having to pay a big, all-you-can-eat price. Our plates had small portions and we had two lunches for under $20. Wish we had this option in our hometown!

On our A Day in LA Tour, we stopped at the Farmer's Market for lunch and we decided on Pampas Grill. The food was delicious! Rice, beans, plantains, and freshly cooked meats. I really liked the meatballs, the mini sausages and the garlic chicken. The line was long (which means it was good), but moved fast and it was nice eating right there at a table. Fun spot.

We were watered for a barbecue after so much fast food. We made the right choice of restaurant!!! Today had rice, beijoada and many accompanying, plus cheese bread and a lot of barbecue!!! I chose picanha and mommy and adooorei! A delight! You can go! You're gonna like it!

We visited the Farmers Market on Sunday and the lines for the Pampas Grill were enormous. We revisited the following day, not only was there no line, but the staff had time to explain a few things, and we had two terrific beef ouches with heaps of fresh salad for just $11. That is fantastic value in LA. We bought drinks from another stand so we did indeed have exactly what we wanted without compromise. This eatery and the Famers Market, and its upmarket next door neighbour are places every visitor must take in.

I was here with my family. This place had long queue. this is a self serve combination platters. They weight ur food and u pay base on the weight, new thing for me. The top sirloin and pork loin is recommended. 1 suggestions ask for medium beef not well done or it would be to dry. Salad bar was my favorite, many choices and suit for me. If u are in town n close to farmers market recommend for lunch.

Delicious food. My family and I had lunch every other day throughout the week we were in Los Angeles. Garlic Top sirloin steak (picanha no alho) and regular sirloin steak (picanha) are very tasty. It even has Guarana as a drink to go with it. The kids loved it ....

Visit this restaurant in the evening. The queu was so long but it was worth the effort. The meat was so delicious. Recommended.

Worth the trip to LA just for this grill. We keep coming back again & again. Value for money, great market atmosphere. Enjoyed it every time we came.

The setting is very casual. You select your choice of food, price is by weight. Variety of delicious Brazilian cuisine and fresh vegetables; and drinks to choose from. Service very fast!

The garlic beef is so tender and the assortment of sides/salads are a nice selection. My husband and I eat here on multiple occasions when we visit. The price goes by weight. The two of us can eat here with bottled water for under $20. Best times to go around 11am and late afternoon around 4ish. Don't be scared of the line it's worth it!

This was my first experience with Brazilian food and I will be back for seconds! I was skeptical given the fact that it was cafeteria style but the reviews were good (and turned out to be correct). The meats were especially delicious, I highly recommend the garlic chicken or sirloin!

...great Brazilian taste. Definitely one of the best places to eat Brazilian in LA. The spicy and garlic chicken are very delightful.

I don't know how people are managing to pay so little. I was charged 30$ for one plate. So overpriced for what it was.

Farmers Market in Los Angeles offers a variety of cuisine. If it is Brazilian non veg food you are looking for head to Pampas Grill. Take your pick out of Beef, Pork and Chicken. A spread of greens, pastas and breads is also laid out. Food is charged by weight so serve your self, get the food weighed and munch on. For around eleven dollars you can get a pound of all that is spread, part of it will however be around nine dollars.Note that air conditioning is not available here.

Inside the Farmer’s Market at the Grove we grabbed a quick lunch here. It’s Brazilian food – meat cooked on long metal rods, just like if you want to a Brazilian steakhouse – except your not paying $49 per person. You pay by the pound – meaning they weigh your plate at the register. They also have a salad bar. We had steak, chicken and sausage – all were very good. There was a line to get food there the whole time we were there, which was lunchtime on a Tuesday.

What a long queue...but worthed it! Got spicy chicken, Lamb Leg and Top Sirloin!!! And all has been paid by its weight.

Meat was over cooked and dry. It had good flavor but that did not make up for texture. If they more thinly sliced it maybe that would be better. I liked that it was self service so you can pick your own portions and number of sides. Sides were good but the star which was the meat was bad.

I eat on the Pampas grill for 10 yers.Brazilian kitchen incredibly delicious. But main advantage of the Pampas is incredibly tasty meat grill.Leg of the lamb the best food in the world!

Buffet per kilo, fair price and authentic barbecue!! Good quality of food and great service. It's worth visiting!

A place focused on grilled cuts prepared properly, with the option to choose sides separately. Keep in mind the price depends on quantity, so costs can add up fast, but a normal serving ends up reasonable. Quality and flavor stand out clearly.

Great cafeteria style Brazilian food. Long lines but went pretty fast. Bread was a little dry. Great selection of choices. Good salad bar. A bit pricey per pound but the taste keeps me coming back again, and again. 6 to 7 different meat choices. The lamb was super tender and great flavor. Not a super gamey tastle at all. Can get it to go or dine in.

If you come at lunch hour, it may take you between 20 to 40 min to get your food. The place has the salad area then some fish and carb options (rice, beans, fried plantain) and then you get to order the different meats they have. Sirloin is great along with the spicy chicken. If you do not like or tolerate spicy, do not order the chicken as it is quite spicy. They also have lamb, sausage and other meat cuts. You can choose how you like your meat, (rare, well done or whatever you like) As mention on the rest of the reviews, the food is charge based on the weight and I find it to be a good all around place. Drinks are overpriced but that is part of the restaurant business. Will definitely eat there again when the lines are not eternal and will highly recommend to anyone visiting the Farmers Market who enjoys eating meat.

Wow! This was a discovery. The long line should have been an indicator. So many options - steak, pork were my favorite options. Seasonings and tenderness of the meat... Beet salad was good. So worth it. Stay away from coconut water though, horribly white chunky residue.

Very good to eat on the go, very good meat indeed, on the other hand if you are alone, with the price of parking which is exorbitant: it costs far too much.

Our city tour guide John recommended this place and we weren’t disappointed. There was a constant line to get in. The range of salads was very good and the 8 types of bbq meats were really good. I limited myself to the top sirloin, leg of lamb and the pork loin. Paying by weight was novel and they probably do very well out of it. Would definitely go back again

Always head to this place when at Farmers Market. Luckily we got there at a good time on both visits as queues not too long. Although the meat is so good , would have waiting in a long queue. cooked to your liking and so tasty. Very reasonable too.

Great selection of beef and chicken and lamb served buffet style. Long line in Farmer's Market tells you how popular it is.

My husband and I have eaten here for years every time we are in LA. However ,this time I found the staff very rude. I asked for well done and the guy said this is well done and dumped it on my plate. It was not what I class as well done so for the first time didn't enjoy it.

Not much of a line when we visited over Labor Day weekend. Nice selection of salads and of course the meat. Your food is charged by the weight of your plate. I had a nice big plate of meats and salads for around 12 dollars. If you like Brazilian food, meat especially, this a a fun place to visit. It is buffet/cafeteria style, so you choose exactly what you want and how much. They do a a lot of business, so they food is all fresh. Enjoy!

My wife and I stopped by the farmers market on a recent trip and decided to eat lunch at Pampas Grill. The food was quite good, the line up was long, so what should have been fast food did take a while. It ended up costing us around $20 but that is because we took what we needed to fill our stomachs, we saw people packing their plates...which I can only imagine their bills. I recommend giving it a try if you are hungry at the farmers market.

In town for a wedding. Stopped at the Grove, and was assured the best food in the Grove was Pampas. Wow! They were right! Will eat here as often as I can. Great food!

Went for a Saturday lunch. First thing- there was (as usually l long line (wait is about 25-30 min). Food is fresh, very good selection at the salad bar, warm meals bar as well as meats. They charge by weight, have around 3 different options (meat only, meat + salad bar, meat + salad bar + warm dishes). My favorites black beans stew, garlic beef, leg of lamb, cheese roll. Very decent prices. I would highly recommend and definitely it is worth of the wait.

This is an excellent option for a meal. Cheap and good. You can taste brazilian food exactly as it is in Brazil. The same spice. Not 'americanized'. Try also the 'guaraná', a kind of soft drink. "mandioca frita' is also a good option, but the 'picanha' is the BEST!

We were shopping at the Farmer's Market and Grove while on vacation in Los Angeles. The food here smelled amazing and we decided to give it a try. It's a serve yourself counter, so it's much faster than many of the other restaurants in the Farmer's Market. Don't let the line intimidate you it moves fast. You serve your sides which included, cold salads, broccoli, pasta, etc. You then pick your meat and are served by the young men working the counter. You have choices such as beef, chicken, pork and sausage. The service was great and the staff was friendly. The price is charged by the pound. We received a lot of food for $15. My husband and I actually split the plate and we're both full, even though he's a big eater. We will definitely come again if we are in the LA area.

This is the place to go for fast and good churrasco and good feijoadas. There are better Brazilian restaus but for a quick and fair priced meat fix, this is a good place to get it.

Located at the Farmers Market (also known as The Grove), this restaurant is amazing. Small outlet you would probably walk past but do yourself a favour and stop. As mentioned in other reviews, you choose the food you want, how much and they weigh it - you then pay for what you order. Could be a little as $8.00 or up to and over $20.00. A definite must in LA. You can catch a bus from Hollywood - really easy and simple.

One of my favorite eateries inside The Farmers Market! Bring your appetite and get ready to savor delicious meats from this Brazilian BBQ jewel. Great prices too.

My favorite restaurant in the farmers market. The meat was so flavorful ordered chicken and steak. They have great difed love the potato salad beets collard greens. There is a line but worth waiting.

Spicy chicken & Top Sirloin. Slightly on the salty side for the beef. Mash is nice. Spicy sauce is ok for my standard. Could be hotter. Spicy Chicken is rather salty. It's a long line formed from 5 PM onwards on a Sunday late afternoon/evening. Perhaps not suitable for my taste bud.

Good Brazilian food with excellent value, and worth waiting the line. Good wine selection. I highly recommend this restaurant

This was the first time we had Brazilian barbecue and it was delicious! We made good use of the time waiting in line, talking to repeat customers to find out what they recommended. I know many people say the picanha was their favorite, and it was very good, but the night we were there, the alcatra (top sirloin) was sublime--dark, caramel-y and crusty on the outside and tender, juicy and pink on the inside. My mouth is watering as I write this! The spicy chicken was too spicy for me which says a lot cuz there isn't much I find too hot. The cheese bread (actually shaped like small biscuits) was as good as everyone says it is. It doesn't reheat well, though, so don't get more than you think you can eat. We also liked the fried plaintains which we'd never tried before. Yes, it got expensive, but we wanted to try different things the first time. Next time we'll have a better idea of what we want.

Lot of salad to choose, well cooked meat and chicken, worth spending............................................

WOW, what a pleasant surprise hiding out in the Farmer's Market of L.A.! I got lamb, top sirloin, and spicy chicken plus sides for $12.50 and I seriously couldn't even pick a favorite. Would love to take this place back to Nebraska with me! Highly recommend for quality, taste, and value.

This place was sooo good! Not only was the meat amazing but the fact that it was pretty affordable. I got mashed potatoes, some of the garlic spaghetti, a bit of salad, and garlic beef & pork loin for just $12. Literally a steal and I was honestly so stuffed.

Love coming here. Food is always great! The Pao de quiejo is my favorite! Its cheesy and warm and I always load up!

The food is superb and there is a lot of variety. Try the garlic beef. It really taste good. I always make it a point to eat at this place whenever I have a free time. Highly recommend

This spot in the famous Farmer's Market is an excellent spot for the meat lover! They have the traditional Brazilian meat choices like, sirloin caps, pork, chicken, and sausage. I had the sirloin cap, sausage, spicy chicken, and chicken. All were awesome! The salad bar choices were also very good. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting L.A. They charge you based on the weight of your plate. I have eaten here 3 times and paid an average of about $18 for my plate, but I am a guy with a good appetite so could be cheaper for you. We came here after looking around at the Grove next door, which is a nice place to shop and maybe spot some celebrities. They shoot the T.V. show Extra at the Grove and we got to see several celebs.

Stumbled on this restaurant while on Vacation in California. We couldn't actually find the place because we're not from the area but upon arrival and calling the restaurant, they were happy to find me in the car park and walked us all the way into the outdoor area of the restaurant. The line was super long but definitely worth the wait. The food was superb and delicious. Also be prepared.. they charge you by the weight... Also try the Guarana Antarctica drink :)

High quality comfort food for a very fair price. It's real brazilian food, the meat is very good (don't miss the picanha) and the buffet has great options.

If you are having lunch in the original farmers market then this place is a must. Our LA resident tour guide recommend the Pampas Grill and he was 100% spot on. The food was all freshly cooked and the selection of veg and meats were excellent. Will hopefully return one day for more great food.

Inspired by the reviews, I wanted to try this Brazilian restaurant, inside the Farmer Market. You take a plate you start filling with the various proposals (self-service type) and at the end you choose the Brazilian barbecued meat. The meat is really very good, the place is rather spartan, and it's not so cheap, my plate cost 26 dollars

There's a reason this place has a line most of the time -- it's that good. Forget about the unique cafeteria service system (it's very efficient) and focus on the food. Fresh salad selections, dozens of side dishes (the sun-dried tomato pasta salad is delish) and then you get to the meat. Slabs of excellent beef and lamb, slowly cooked to perfection on a sort of upstanding bbq -- great choices -- and a bacon wrapped chicken which is absolutely wonderful. Get great food, find a good table to watching the passing parade at the Market and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy (guaranteed!).

I love this place for a quick casual bite to eat for lunch or dinner The corn, potatoe salad, beets, garlic sirloin , potatoes, queso buns , Everything is soooo tasty and perfect must eat here

If you are walking around the food court at the Grove trying to decide what to eat - look no further! this place is delicious! they ask you how you like your meat, slice it in front of you and its juicy and perfect...the salad bar has a little of everything you could want...its PERFECT for lunch. We've eaten at a few places in here, and some are just better than others...this one I am doing a review because I recommend - its the best!

Brazilian food by the pound. We bought beef, pork, lamb and chicken. We had rice and broccoli salads. About $10 per pound of food. So for 4 of us we had $ 40. The meat was spicy or garlicky. Cooked dry from the rolling spit. We have been here 3 times every time we go shopping in LA at The Grove. Worth a visit especially if you are hangry from Xmas shopping with the family.

I have eaten at several restaurants throughout the county that offer Brazillian Churruscas and find the quality of meats offered at the Pampas Grill to be of the same quality of the more expensive upscale establishments. When you consider that you can have several verieties of meat during the same meal including tender delicious cuts of steak for around $15 this is a really good deal. Even though the surroundings are not very elegant the farmer's market does provide a fun and casual eating environment. Every time I go to LA I make sure to visit this restaurant even if it means I have to drive out of my way.

Be prepared to queue. If you're in the farmers market as we were, as part of a day trip, and you love meat, stop here. You choose your portion size which is good for most. Tasty meal with lots of choice!

If you like Brazilian 🇧🇷 meats you'll love this establishment. Within the confines of the Original Farmers Market many on site choices to eat this by far is the best. If you don't mind waiting as the line keeps coming but moves very fast. They serve buffet style and charge by the pound, however is well worth it. Wide assortment of veggies, salads and meat (chicken, lamb pork and steak), but be very careful and selective otherwise you can break the food budget for the. It was great!!!🇧🇷

We went to Pampas Grill at the Farmers Market. Its a Brazilian Barbecue Place. Its a food court and food is readily available to dish up and enjoy. Its more casual than other Brazilian Restaurants we have been too. Food is tasty and its great for meat lover's.

At Pampas Grill you will know how you usually serve yourself at Brazilian Restaurants. Pick your plate, put it whatever you may want as sides (different vegetables, smashed potatoes, cheese bread "pão de queijo", etc) and finally you can have different type of meat cooked as you want. Here you must try the delicious "picanha" cut. This brazilian cut is more than tasty! As in almost all the fast food restaurants inside the Farmers Market you must find a spot to eat your meal and this is a little bit uncomfortable but not that much to be an unpleasant experience. I saw the price reasonable compared with LA food prices, $17 usd for a well served plate with meat (by the way, after you serve all the food on your plate, you have to weigh it on a scale that substract the weight of the plate). Finally you can try the fresh Guaraná Antarctica soda which is a refreshment from Brazil, unique flavour!

We went into this buffet style Brazilian place in the Farmers market and the food was well presented and absolutely delicious. Great choice of roasted meat - garlic beef and garlic chicken were fabulous. Plenty of salad/vegetables to have with it. They weigh your plate with your food selection (calibrated to not include the weight of the plate) and we had two pretty full plates at it came to a total of $30.17. Cheapest and probably the most delicious lunch of our US trip!

Pampas Grill, a Brazilian bbq buffet at Farmers market is always great, hence the lines. They charge you more if you don't take a salad on the plate, so always add a bit of salad or vegetables to get the best price as you are charged per pound. They have great options---chicken, pork, beef, and everything is so flavorful. This is one of the most popular restaurants at Farmers Market, and rightfully so....

The line is long at this place but it moves quickly. They have a nice selection of meats. It's priced by the pound. A few slices of picanha, sausage, and some salad bar items usually comes out to about $11-15. That is a lot cheaper than going to Fogo de Chao.

I had a taste of plantains, spicy chicken, chickens with a pink suace on top of spaghetti. The spicy chicken was really good. The chicken that was with a sauce was tough. I thought the price was expensive in comparison to amount of food u get.

We used to come to this place for years. Lately they became greedy and raised their prices. Now they charge for their garlic bread twice: one time when you put it on your plate since they charge by weight and second time when they charge by piece $.86 per item. Also their meat is not consistent. Chicken is almost always over cooked and dry. I don’t recommend this place.

My spouse and I recently stopped by Pampas Grill for lunch while visiting the Farmers Market in LA. You place your plate on a scale and pay accordingly which unfortunately, adds up very quickly. The food was good, but we felt it was overpriced.

My wife and I have ate at several Brazilian establishments, but this place is the best. The meat is cooked just right and there are just the right amount of sides to go with your meal.

Perhaps the best meal I had on this visit to the US, but definitely not for the vegetarians. It is not fancy but rather simple, well prepared and above all tasty. The food is costed by weight which can make it expensive, and it is mainly beef so not a whole lot of variety, but I need to stress it is good. However it is well prepared and exceptionally tasty, I will continue to have fond memories of this experience. I have nothing negative to say about this, but be prepared to queue if you go at lunch time as it is popular and I understand why, definitely worth it though.

The food was tremendous and lots of choices of meats. Very inexpensive but with a nice atmosphere. Great for bring a group of people

This is one of the best places to eat in the Farmer's Market. Several meat choices available as well as vegetables and salad. You choose whatever you want and you pay by the ounce. Everything was fresh and wonderful. Highly recommend.

This is a buffet style Brazilian grill. At the front of the line are numerous nice sides like salads, beets, black beans, boiled eggs, rice and some fruit. The real star of the show, however are the meat skewers at the end of the line. We had sirloin cap and bacon-wrapped chicken. You can designate the temperature of your meat but I get the feeling that it is only approximate. We asked for medium rare and the sirloin was indeed a nice medium rare. The chicken was a bit over and the tiniest bit dry. You pay by weight at the end of the line. Prices are very reasonable. Overall, this is a delicious meal and one of the best items at the market.

The Farmer's Market provides a large number of restaurant and food stand options, many of which are very good. So you will have to come back a few times to satisfy your culinary curiosity. However, you will probably want to try the Pampas Grill more than once if you are in the mood for a lunch of some grilled meat along with a wide variety of salads and side dishes. Large chunks of beef, lamb, pork, chicken are grilled on spits and then sliced thinly on a cutting board as you wait in line. What is unique here is that you pay by the pound of food on your plate. So if you only want salads and sides you pay $8.95, if you want to add meat you pay $10.95, and if you want only a full carnivore experience you pay $15.95. The nice thing about this approach is that you only take as much food as you want to eat rather than having to throw uneaten food away or having to haul around a doggy bag the rest of the afternoon. We went for the middle option and were much pleased with the lamb and beef slices. The meat was cooked to our specification and had a tasty grilled coating on the outside slices. Though there were many side choices I found them average, though mostly well prepared. These included egg salad, boiled eggs, pineapple, beets, cold string beans, plantains, cooked bananas, mashed potatoes, and rice to name a few. Probably the weakest items were the breads which were dry. Of course, any place like this also comes with a line, but things seemed to move fairly quickly. This may be partly due to the fact that since everyone pays by the pound, the person at the register doesn't have to worry about pricing each item. The Pampas Grill is an open-air shop where you take a plate and tray and walk past the salads and sides taking what you want. You can then take a canned drink or soda before picking your meat and checking out. There is ample seating at tables in the market aisles and some additional seating up stairs to a covered area adjacent to the Grill.

Fantastic food, reasonably priced. The selection is huge and the quality of the meat is just fantastic. Highly recommend if at the Farmers Market!

This place is awesome and warrants a queue for food. It's buffet style to select your sides (the collard greens and cheese bread are amazing) and then you are served your meat with a member of staff quite literally hacking off lumps of meat off a spear. The garlic chicken and beef are amazing. The only thing that would have topped the meal would have been having a cold lager with it. For the quality and quantity of the food it was very reasonably priced as well. The farmers market were this is set makes for a pleasant environment as well.

This Brazilian Churrascaria in the Farmers Market was a treat for an inexpensive lunch. Excellent meat and veggie choices. Both the Tri-Tip and the pork loin were excellent.

According to prices it was expensive but with great selection. Super food, it was tasty and in time. Great stop and totally worth it!

With the meat i tried, the best taste was the garlic chicken, followed by pork loin, lamb and beef. They are sold by the pound. As a small eater, I don't have to order much for lunch, making my lunch a cheap eat. The salad was also very good and healthy. i would definitely go back next time.

this is the best you have to eat here if you go to LA it's soo good I got lamb it was the best ever

It’s not often that you find top 10 TripAdvisor restaurants in a fast food setting but that’s exactly this place located in the Original Farmer’s Market. Interesting thing here is that everything is weigh by the pound. So at the front of the line, there are all sorts of cold salad bar type items like potato salad, pasta salad, corn, etc (their collard greens are spectacular) and then you move to the hot bar where plaintains are good and bunch of other offerings can be found like fish, other meats, rice, pasta, fries, potatoes etc. finally you get to the main event. Sitting on a wall of grills are skewers of Brazilian churrasco (Brazilian style bbq). You can ask the guy to cut you as little or as much as you want! We went right when they opened so we got a lot of the ends which sometimes had some fat. But overall you can compile a pretty nice tasting meal and sit and enjoy the farmers market! Parking is quite pricey at the market even with the 90 min free validation upon purchase!

This place is fantastic! Especially awesome for meat-lovers! Not your typical Fogo-type Brazilian meatfest, but better with buffet style sides and skewers on the fire! Best tasting meat I've had since Fogo de Chao!

Lines can be long , but there is a reason for that as the food is fresh and delicious! We had spicy chicken, lamb and garlic steak .

Buffet style at the Farmer's Market. Has a huge selection of sides and salads to go with your meat. Meat is grilled right in front of you and is as delicious as it smells. You pay by the weight of your plate so can put as little or as much as you like. So tasty and fresh that if I lived near here I don't think I'd ever cook again. Market atmosphere going on all around you so very busy on the weekends.

Is a Very good place in farmers place. Very good meat and the prices are Very good for California. So Many different cuts of meats

Best value in LA RESTAURANT: A Food quality A+ Value B Ambiance A Location A People A Staff A Service A Scene B Decor CLEAN OR DIRTY: A Utensils A Table A Glassware

Farmer's Market is a fun place to visit any time of year and there are a lot of options for eating. I think Pampas Grill is one of the best. The long lines should tell you something, but don't worry, the line moves quickly. You pick some sides and then you can choose from a variety of meats and preparations. Then you pay by weight. You can't go wrong. I've had garlic beef, spicy chicken, lamb and the sirloin cap. Service is fast and efficient and still friendly, making for very satisfied customers.

Flavour was spot on for most food, from the black beans and 'farofa' to the perfectly grilled meat. The price was surprisingly cheap.

Great food. Staff are direct and to the point but the meat is amazing. The rest of he salads are as you expect but everyone goes here for the meat!

It used to be cheap eats. Then they raised the prices by about 50%. I don't go there anymore. $12.95 a LB adds up fast.

Went walking through Farmer's Market with my partner and friend. Trying to decide on lunch, I walked by this place and my mind was made up. The line wrapped around the side. I don’t usually like waiting in long lines for food when I’m hungry, but I had a feeling about this place. And boy was I right. OMG it was absolutely delicious! I had top sirloin, sirloin cap and spicy chicken. I also got a small salad, chicken stroganoff, boiled eggs, and pineapple bits–all for just over $12. As I was telling folks about my experience, I decided I had to go back there the next day. Got more meat the second time around. Highly recommend this place. The line is worth the wait!

We have been traveling around California and this is for sure, the best Brazilian restaurant/barbecue by far ! Real tasty Brazilian "churrasco", black beans, fried banana, farofa, pão de queijo and so on... Don't think twice... head to this place at the "Original Farmers Market" (Fairfax Avenue with West 3rd st.) Much better than Fogo de Chao (no longer a Brazilian restaurant) and much cheaper!

We tried the steaks, the cheese bread, and the salad. All tasted good with a decent price. The location is in the farmers market so lots of choices there.

We always end up here when we go to the Pantages Theater. This is in the Farmers Market and the Grove. It is not fancy but the food is outstanding. The garlic chicken is one of our favorites. Also any of the meats are great. The salads and vegetables are always cooked to perfection. A great place to fill up on great food.

Joined the very long queue, assuming this was THE place to eat in the Farmers Market. Salad choices were along the lines of hardboiled eggs, chopped lettuce, beet root, cold broccoli, etc. A couple of bread items, then the BBQ meats. I had chicken and lamb. The chicken was raw in the middle- completely inedible, and the lamb was tough and fatty. Apparently you get to order how you like your meat cooked - though this wasnt offered as a choice to us. For over $30, it was really average and disappointing.

Just got back from lunch with a friend. I've eaten at many Brazilian places but never one cafeteria style. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. I was expecting some lower quality food due to the location but I was wrong. I should have known better seeing that I was standing in line for 20 minutes. Standard Brazilian buffet where you pay by the pound (and yes the weight of the plate is subtracted in case you're wondering). The cheese bread was really good and probably my favorite part of the meal. I opted for some top sirloin and roast pork along with my salad bar items. The meat was very high quality and delicious. I spent 20 bucks for a heaping portion of food. Not bad. I totally recommend this place if you're wandering around the farmers market and have a hankering for a hunk of meat.

Before visiting Farmer Market, we looked at the TripAdvisor recommendations and came across Pampas Grill. As most of the time, the positive review was more than justified! Around noon there was a small queue, but it was worked off quickly. As in a canteen, you pass several stations with salad, vegetables and various types of meat and have what you want placed on your plate; the bill is based on weight at the checkout. Especially the meat was excellent and typically prepared Brazilian, the vegetables well grilled and the prices were fine. Our Recommendation for the Farmer's Market!

Straight from the Los angeles airport, we visited the Grove and the farmers market. The line of 20-30 people got us curious and we decided to try it out. Diners will have to get their own choice of side dishes, meat, drinks, etc and then the cost will be based on the weight of the plate. There are a lot of meat to choose from, and i really like how they cook their meat. It is tender and tasty. Will definitely go back.

I decided to follow the crowd and get in line at Pampas for lunch. Definitely the right decision. Melt-in-your-mouth Brazilian BBQ (we sampled the linguica, spicy chicken, garlic chicken and sirloin). Delicious buffet options from salads and fruits to sides like collard greens and fried plantains. I ate everything and wish I had gotten more. A little pricey if you're looking to do the market on a budget (they charge by the pound), but well worth it.

the side dishes are so good, the collards are yum, the grilled meat is delicious, the plantains were cooked just like i like them, all was fantastic and its weighed at the end so you take as much as you can eat, and mine was only $14 for a big platefull.

The last time I visited the venerable LA Farmers Market (2005 or so) after visiting the Tar Pits, wesettled for Patsy's Pizza and was disappointed. Then I saw the Pampas Grill and vowed that I would go there should I ever return to LA. I got the chance this year. Of the numerous good eateries at the Farmers Market, the longest line of customers was by far at the Pampas Grill. I have eaten at a few Brazillian churruscas and have enjoyed everything about them except the price tag. Pampas grill works differently. You pay by the pound. Buffet-line only is $8.95/lb. Buffet with fire-roasted meats is $9.95/lb. If you choose a plate of meat only, it's $13.95/lb. I chose the top sirloin, garlic sirloin, chicken&Bacon, and sausage. The meats were all delicious, though I would have preferred them a little rarer. Salad bar entries were so-so, although the cheesy bread is a must. The bottom line is I had a filling meal of fire roasted meats for less than $15. Fogo de Chae woul charge you $60 for a similar portion.

All the meats we tried were cooked perfectly!, the only thing I wasn't too happy about, was the long line, but that could only mean that it is a really good place!

I tried top sirloin and garlic chicken, both are good! Meal size is also very personalised as we can take our own dishes. Only the queue is too long.

This grill is located in the farmers market. You go through a buffet-type line and pick which foods you would like and your portions. You then tell the meat server what type of meat you would like and he cuts it off of the kabob fresh. The meat was really good, but salty and the sides were pretty good - something different and not heavy like fast food that weighs you down. You pay for your food by weight. We would recommend the top sirloin, the sirloin cap, the sausage, and the super good fried plantains!

Found this place whilst wandering round the Farmers' Market, during a day tour of LA. The food was definitely worth waiting in the queue for. The lamb and the sirloin were so tender, and it was really reasonable too. Highly recommended!

Let's say that their work is fair. But it is far from being a real Brazilian BBQ. The line take to long, to serve, to pay to find a place to seat and to finally eat. When it comes to this part the meat on your dish is cold. If you are Brazilian the BBQ at you home are much better than this believe me. And if you're from anywhere else, you are going to have an different experience. And that's all.

As we entered the Farmer's Market car park we knew what we wanted. Some of the BBQ'd food that smelt soooo good. We walked through the market and finally found the source of the wonderful fragrance at the Pampas grill. Never come across a food place like it but hope to find similar ones again. All the meats are cooked over a charcoal fire pit to perfection and having helped yourself at the amply stocked salad bar you choose what quantity you'd like of the many meats on offer. Your plate is then weighed to determine what you pay. Really novel but great way to ensure you get the food you want.

Brought some friends to the Grove and convinced them to try Pampas for Sunday "brunch". No disappointment here! The sides were delicious and the cheese balls were as we had hoped (comparing to NYC Plataforma!). So good, and the meats were tasty and juicy! Love this place and even charges by the pound were reasonable and filling. A must for any foodie, and the Farmers Market has cuisines for any palate.

On a all day date with our grandson, we visited the LA Farmer's Market. We were trying to decide what to eat when our grandson fixated on all the succulent meats on display. Eventually we all decided this would be our spot and it was a great choice. My husband and I don't usually frequent Brazilian restaurants because they are generally "all you can eat" and we don't consume enough at one time to justify the price. This one is set up like a takeout salad bar. You pay by the weight. So you still have access to taste as many of the meats that interest you without feeling like you have to gorge yourself to get your money's worth. We found that we spent very comparably what we would have spent at other food stalls.

If you love meat, and grill you will love this place. Little bit of waiting, but well worth it. The Brazilian grill sausages are amazing.

I live just a few blocks away and being Brazilian I can say it is the best one in L.A. Very simple setting [it's located inside the Farmer's Market but the food is authentic and delicious! A must try for locals and visitors!

First of all Farmers Market is a must when visiting in the area. Not your typical fruit and veggie market. Their food stands have a wide variety to choose from and the food yummy. Hands down Pampas always has the longest line compared to the other stands and it is worth the wait. All the barbecue choices are OMG delicious. The side dishes are fantastic as well. Pay by the pound and yet the prices are reasonable. I guarantee if you are in the area for more than a day you will want to go back and try something else on their menu.

If you enjoy steak then you must try here. It is lovely and really reasonable. It is in Farmers Market. There are loads of places to eat but this is by far the best

Such an awesome concept! Express Brazilian food that was dang good! This was in a local farmers market next to CBS. The food was outstanding. You select what you want and pay by the weight. For our group of 9, it was very affordable, and everyone left happy! I love this place, and will def return.

Fav Brazilian BBQ in LA! Located in the Grove. Even though you line up and select what you want and then take it to a seat or to go, this is the best Brazilian BBQ in LA! Even better than the famous expensive Brazilian restaurants.

When we visited the Los Angeles Farmers Market and were trying to decide where we should eat, the long line of customers waiting for food at the Pampas Grill, gave us our first clue that the food here would be delicious! We have visited Brazil and had the pleasure of eating their barbecue and other wonderful dishes, including little round cheese breads. We were not disappointed at Pampas Grill!!! Customers chose their food from a cold & hot buffet, and then can have the barbecue meat(s) of their choice carved off of the long skewers and added to their plates. Cost is determined by the weight of your plate, just like in some of the restaurants in Brazil. There is a wide variety of food to chose from, everything looks so good it is hard to limit yourself! After you pay for your food, it is possible to find a table to sit at in the market - more tables are located on the 2nd floor. The food is wonderful, cost is reasonable, it is definitely worth the wait!

I always have a thought that most food stalls at the markets and the boardwalks are ok but that place surprised me. It is located at the farmers market, and you can spot it by long line. You fill your own plates with salads and you pick your own meat and they cut it for you, and you pay per pound, I got the spicy chicken which is really spicy, lamb leg and the sirloin cap which was the best I've ever had.

Top sirloin and garlic chicken were both good. Meal size was also personalised to our needs, as we pick and choose the items by ourselves. Only the queue was too long.

This is an unique experience in LA's Farmers Market. When we went in, the longest line was at Pampas Grill and we saw people with large dishes loaded up with various types of BBQ. You get a large dish and pick from choices of salads and side dishes before you come to the BBQ counter where you can pick and choose from beef sirloin, lamb, pork and chicken BBQ and they will cut it to order and put it on your plate. The price is determined by the weight of your selections. Very interesting. The food was good, but not great. Still an interesting experience and worth to try.

We ate here at the recommendation of our tour guide while in the LA area. The food was very good. I had the garlic chicken. Since you purchase it by the pound I didn't take too much food. It ended up being very filling and enough to satisfy my hunger. They can be very busy at certain times of the day so prepare yourself for that. I would definitely eat there again.

Fabulous range of tasty fresh food including a buffet with salads and hot food. You then select bbq meat of your choice and specify how you like it cooked. I had sirloin, lamb leg, spicy chicken, loved all of them. Pay by weight of food selected from buffet and bbq. Great lunch for $8 There are lots of food options at the farmers market but I am very pleased I chose this one. Very hot and stuffy at the market which influenced my decision on where to go.

Excellent place to eat if you are in the Grove. The food is super tasty, heaps of meat, rice beans, salad. It's a little bit expensive in my opinion but I thought it was worth it.

Wonderful food with good quality ingredients. Expect very long lines, we waited 30 minutes at 2.30pm. Tons of options to choose; you will pile up your own plate and they will weight it for you. Good place to eat when you have people with different diets as you can choose from so many options. The picanha (beef) was really good!

The line was huge and it took a very long time to get our food, but worth the wait! As others have pointed out, it's a cafeteria style place with various sides you serve yourself with in a to go container and at the end of the line is where the glorious grilled meats are that are carved to order. You pay by the weight of your container and the price was good especially for the quality. The yucca, plantains, and garlic bread are good, but we were there for the meat ;) The lamb was pretty good but it was a bit dry, the spicy chicken was very good (bone in thigh) but the star was the garlic beef, it was incredible! We will definitely be back to try the other meat options and maybe a few more sides.

Very good brooch cooked meat restaurant, plus you can add a salad or other of your choice. Be careful because you pay by weight and it can rise quickly but a proper plate is about $20. The meat is very very good

This restaurant is just wonderful. You pay by how heavy your plate is and their meat is all excellent. You just have to make sure that you take a medium well done meat as the normal meat is a bit too red. The system is really good and very Brazilian.

I tried several kinds of meat, and all were very tasteful and tender, even the leg of lamb was delicious. Dipping it in the jalapeno sauce made it even more delicious. It was a very long queu, but it is worth a try.

always a line at Pampas Grill as the food is pretty fab. but definitely worth joining the queue. Anything from their grill is delicious, although make sure to grab a piece of the garlic beef. Their black beans are another must as are their plantains. For some strange reason I can't resist their potato salad. you pay by weight - and don't worry the plate weight is not included!

The selection of food is fantastic. The price is reasonable. With the volume of customers, they should make it bigger. Customer selects food similar to a buffet style.

Pampas Grill has the longest wait time and it is for a reason. The churrascos are delicious and are a must have. For 2, the buffet plates will cost less than 40$(approx). I would love to visit the place whenever I am in Los Angeles.

Buy all your favourite Argentinian steakhouse favourites here - most cuts of meat and sides - all by the pound. I always try to force myself to go somewhere else first (I eat from at least 2 places when I visit the Market) but Pampas is my favourite! Totally delicious and without the hassle/expense of a sit down place!

This would be my first experience eating Brazilian BBQ, and it was such a success to have Pampas Grill as my first experience! The meats are so juicy and tender, and not to mention the taste.. perfect! With lots of option of side-dishes. A luxurious taste although you'll be eating in the food-court style. Perfect and looking forward to go back!

We found this place on trip. We called for lunch whilst walking around the market- each had the skewered meats and salad. It's a self service- you pay by weight- and find a seat around the stand. It was lovely! We tried beef, chicken, lamb. All nice but The lamb was awesome! Great salad bar! Nice unusual lunch stop!

Loved it - The popularity of this place can be judged by the queues that formed outside at all the times - some amazing salads and loved the fresh meats - especially spicy chicken thighs and Sirloin. Would love to visit again. Easy on the budget as well.

Always visit here when I am in town. Meat cooked to perfection. Great selection of salads and hot sides. Cant wait to be back

Wonderful food and good price. You choose what you want to eat and they weigh it for you pay. Very good flavor!

This was my first experience with Brazilian food- it is not very common in India (pork and beef are not really popular in my country at least not where I come from). What I liked about the place is this- great value for money, amazing range of condiments in addition to the barbecued meat- I mean I could have skipped the meat part and eaten the salads, sides and chicken and still been happy. This is a place for meat lovers it has amazing barbecued meat and by the look of the queue that was there it seemed to be the most popular place in Farmers Market......

Our tour guide dropped our bus load off at The Farmers Market, to both experience the Market and have lunch. Before we arrived, I saw a travel video on Market lunch places so we followed a recommendation to Pampas Grill and were not disappointed. It's a fun experience, worth the wait in line, and the food was delicious. It's a rather small operation, where you choose your food cafeteria style on a tray and take it to any of the available tables out in the market. After you get your tray, you select what you want from the salad and hot selection areas before moving on to the meat station; varying Brazilian cuts are hand carved, at your choice, onto your plate. You then pay by the weight of your plate; there are two price points, one with and one without meats. It's a fun experience, and the food was delicious. There was no need for diner later at night!

We saw a huge line and thought that we would get a great experience. Well, the salads were you average salads. BUT! The meat was STINKY and disgusting. Being very disappointed, we tried to return it. They wouldn't accept it and gave chicken as a refund. That was also really low quality. Not worthy either your time or your money.

I always skip the salads. Cheese bread good, mashed potatoes good, chicken stroganoff usually decent. I get the lamb, beef, pork. Usually ask for medium rare though the loin only comes in well done apparently (at least today). Always a line. Usually get it to go and it's best eaten hot. Been going for years.

Great food at great prices! Be careful to remember that you pay for your plate by weight so watch the sides you choose. Everything is always tasty and visually appealing, so it seems to jump on my plate and I have little room for the meat! Consider yourself warned!

We visited the Grove to get dessert from The Cheesecake Factory. With a 45 minute wait ahead of us, we wandered around and stumbled upon the Farmers Market. A great variety of food and stores. A noticed a long line and when I saw the plates of folks walking out, I knew I made a new dinner choice. A waited for about 30 minutes but it was totally worth it. It's a self serve Brazilian place. Hot and cold food and your choice of about 7 meats. My family started to pick at my plate and they realized why I chose to wait. Great stop and totally worth it!

No wonder there is a line all the time, best Brazilian food !!! So good!! Not super cheap but everything is soooooooooooo authentic.

The lines are a little big big so you might have to wait a little bit! But it worth it 100%! We had the bacon chicken (I don't recommend it that much..) & meat! Pff.. It was reaaaally good!! The salads and the rest of the food was amazing, too! Highly recommend!!

Ran over to Pampas for a quick lunch and it was perfect for a quick bite. There is something for everyone - meat, fruit, vegetables, salad and you can create what you want. The meat was tender and fresh and did not have a lot of salt in it, which is perfect. You pay for what you order by having your plate weighed. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the spring weather.

If you are at the grove or farmers market you should stop and eat at Pampas. The meat is excellent. Our party had the top sirloin, lamb leg, sausage, Chicken and meat with garlic. All of the meat was tasty and cooked to perfection. This combined with fresh vegetables and salad was the perfect lunch all for under 20.00 I will definitely go back.

Some things are good and some are not. The veggies, salads and the chicken are good but I am always dissatisfied with the beef, has to be some of the lowest quality around.
