Good food and good service

By Kyivguy |

My son and I had a very nice dinner and overall a pleasant experience. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere conducive to a quiet meal. As I have often written, rating food can be very subjective so in as much as this was my first visit I chose to rate the meal as a 4 star. I will definitely return for different entrees and will amend my review if it proves necessary.

Real Mexican food!

By Mauro L |

A piece of Mexico in the heart of Las Vegas for this typical restaurant, starting from the building which reminds an hacienda in Mexico DF and going on with great food for a special night in Vegas

Very good lunch

By sharrongeg |

Met a friend here for lunch. Extensive menu with lots of delicious options beyond the standard Mexican fare. I had a salad with mango, jicama, grilled chicken, roasted pumpkin seats with a honey/lime vinaigrette ($16.95). Just fantastic. Portion was hearty. Plenty of free, off street parking.

Drinks = A Food = D

By AJUC |

We stopped in for lunch during a Christmas shopping trip in Vegas. Pancho's is a large newer restaurant that was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We were seated promptly and ordered house margaritas and were served complimentary chips and salsa. The drinks were very good, but pricey at almost $10 each. The salsa was wonderful. We were really looking forward to the food, but it was a dismal disappointment. I ordered seafood enchiladas, my husband ordered enchiladas suizas. We were both unhappy with our meals. It is hard to describe, but the food tasted like it was all from a can. The shrimp inside my enchiladas was very overcooked, like it had been sitting on the stove all day. I have to say that the service was very prompt and friendly, but that is not enough to get us to return. This was not a cheap Mexican meal, we paid almost $60 for 2 drinks and our lunch. I rated Pancho's as average because of the drinks, chips and salsa and service; would have rated poor based just on the food.

Average Mexican food

By harley m |

Decided to have dinner in Downtown Summerland and thought I would try Pancho's. The exterior lloked nice so what the hell. The interior is nice and casual. We had some avacado dip (expensive) which was okay. The Margaritas were okay but could have had a flittle more tequila. My main complaint is the food. The presentation is normal Mexican flare, but the taste is a little lacking. The flan for dessert was good, but expensive for the small amout you get. So. the restaurants looks nice, the drinks are okay and the food is average. Will I return, no.

Way too expensive

By Kim W |

The service is fabulous. The food is HIGHLY overpriced. This is my third or fourth visit and it is not getting any better. I don't think it's any better than taco bell. The atmosphere is beautiful but I came for the food.

For what they charge, you can do better!

By Sid k |

I went here tonight for a business meeting and was not impressed at all! I was reading that the owners spent $3,000,000 to build this restaurant and it's really beautiful inside and out! But what's really disappointing is their prices! Don't get me wrong, the food is good but they charge 20-30% more than most of the other Mexican places in town. Maybe by being located in Summerlin they can get away with this.

WONDERFUL NEW ADDITION

By vegaslady10 |

I love this new addition to Downtown Summerlin restaurants. I have been to the Poncho's in Manhattan Beach, Ca. many years ago and I was so excited they were coming to Summerlin. The food was excellent, Margarita's perfect and service was excellent. Brian was a great waiter. We went back for Happy Hour and it was great again.

Outstanding and interesting Lunch

By Don P |

Pancho's has an interesting and diverse menu. We started with Chips and Dip. The dip is outstanding. I had Especial de Cabo. Which was a mixture of Shrimp, Crab, and Chicken cooked with peppers, onions, and Tomatoes, then with Cheese on top. The Sauce was outstanding, crab fresh, chicken and shrimp fixed perfect. My wife had Salmon Topolobampo. The Salmon was excellent, and the vegetable mixture wonderful. Service was excellent by Gustavo. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place, large portions, delicious

By Emmers1 |

Restaurant is gorgeous. Large portions for a great price. Service was excellent. Able to accommodate and personalize your own meal. Large bar area with a live music stage.

Nice decor

By SLindsey1225 |

My girlfriend and I went there for lunch. Their menu for margaritas looks great the food was delicious and the decor of the place is really nice! We would definitely go back.

Great Mexican food and margaritas, great service!

By Deb224 |

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The restaurant is located in a shopping center west of town in Summerlin (it's on the perimeter near one of the entrances). It's a large restaurant, with a bar area off from the main dining rooms. Décor is typical, but very clean and attractive. The chairs are huge and very comfortable. Our servers were very professional but friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We found the food to be fresh, very well-prepared and served hot, hot. They have excellent margaritas--they certainly did not spare the tequila. They have the best albondigas soup and chicken mole I've ever eaten and my son said the mixed (beef and shrimp) fajitas were wonderful--the shrimp perfectly cooked, the beef very tender and the veggies fresh and cooked perfectly, keeping a bit of crunch in the center. Even the beans and rice were really good. For Las Vegas prices, we did not think our bill was any higher than other similar restaurants. The portions are large--we took home enough leftovers for another meal. We spent just under $100 for 2 meals that included soup (or salad), all the chips & salsa you want, 2 beers and 2 margaritas (which are not small). Will definitely go back!

Fun Mexican

By Diane L |

I loved this place. The atmosphere is very authentic. It is indoor seating but feels like being outside. The food is reasonably priced. There are all kinds of things on the menu, both meals and combination plates. I had the chicken/mango salad which was very good. For desert we shared a fried ice cream, which I really enjoyed. The table comes with tasty salsa chips and a mild salsa and upon request you can get some refried beans which is very good.

Great place for Mexican

By MaryJo65 |

Five stars for everything. Great food, fantastic service, lovely atmosphere, and great live music! Really the best Mexican!

Great Atmosphere

By cpldutch |

But you can't eat atmosphere. Bland food (I had to salt everything) and I don't usually add salt. Chili Rellano not stuffed with any cheese, just dipped and sauce and cheese on top of a slimy coated pepper. Bland beans and horrible rice. Maybe they should use rice-a-roni? Expensive $42 for two entrees $3.75 iced tea. Don't bother wasting your time or money here.

Enjoyable Evening with Great Food and Service

By normanf230 |

Pancho's has a great reputation. Loved the food and our server Patricio was excellent. beverage service was a bit slow but the margaritas were excellent. Our dinners were everything we expected and wanted.

Third time wasn't a charm

By Loren L |

For Mexican food it is very over priced and has limited flavor. I was there the first time and placed between 2 large parties. We were forgotten and the food was over cooked and flavorless. Yes they made it right and gave us a gift card to come back. Two months later tried i again. Ceviche and margaritas not bad just expensive. Tried it last night and the Ceviche was flavorless. The last 2 times service was horrible. Last night the server didn't even ask if we wanted anything else. Just dropped the check and ran.. That sums it up. NO more Pacho's for this family. There are better places for less money. and much better service.

Mexican food in great hacienda-style surroundings!

By EMF |

Very good Mexican food, friendly and prompt service, nice atmosphere. Try the Tinga Poblana, a house specialty. Even the salsa and chips served upon getting seated are delicious.

Absolutely Wonderful

By seawolf1963 |

After staying home for 3 months we finally decided to go out again. Our first pick was Panchos in Downtown Summerlin which had just re-opened. We made a reservation on line and arrived to find a table waiting. The staff all wore masked. The menus and each table and chairs were continuously wiped down. The food was excellent as was the service. We highly recommend.

Pretty Pancho's

By SusieRussell |

We went to Happy Hour at Pretty Pancho's Restaurant. It is gorgeous inside. But their prices reflect what they spent...very expensive Mexican food. So we tried their Happy Hour in the Lounge and it was terrific. We had the crispy taquitos and the platter sampler. Everything was very, very good. Loved the taquitos. Very nice Servers. We will be back for the Happy Hour!!!! Good prices on drinks, too. Located in Downtown Summerlin Mall. Great location in Las Vegas.

Office party

By Stef F |

Being the Mexican food fanatics that we are, my office chose to check out Panchos for our Christmas party. I'd made the reservations at least a month in advance & made it clear that we'd need extra space for several large boxes of presents. At check-in for the reservation, they confirmed the request. But, our table/area was NOT going to work. The manager & their team quickly accommodated us & all was well again in the world of Mexican food & Christmas cheer. Our waiter- Miguel?- & the busboy worked their tails off. & they did it with a great attitude. The chips, salsa & guacamole were excellent. We all ordered a range of entrees & we all agreed the food was of high quality & quite tasty! The prices are on the higher side, especially for Mexican food, but the ambiance, staff we encountered, selection & dishes justify them. After dinner, we spent another hour loudly laughing & shrieking while opening gifts... toward the end, one of the members of management came over & we thought he was going to tell us to dial it down a couple notches, BUT he actually came to tell us he appreciated us bringing energy & Christmas cheer to the restaurant. What could have been a disaster, with the initial accommodations, turned into a pretty rad, successful holiday evening with our family away from family.

YES --- Great food and drinks, extensive menu

By Sergio1954 |

This was our first time here. Happy Hour is in the bar only - and it was BUSY. Our reservation was honored right on time. Chips, salsa and water were on the table right away. The salsa was excellent. Would say overall that all of the food that we enjoyed had a wonderful taste. NOT the steam table Mexican most places normally have. Everything was fresh and delicious. My husband had the carne asada -- was enough for 2 people. The guacamole was delicious and enough for 4 people. Portions overall were large. We had margaritas - made with Patron. They pour a strong drink!!! The menu overall was extensive. Tacos, enchiladas, burritos, combo plates, salads etc. Very lively place, noise level is almost loud, but not enough where you have to yell at each other. If you are in the mood for some good drinks and Mexican food -- this is the place to go. We will be returning very soon.

Looks Can Be Deceiving

By Mike O |

This is a beautiful restaurant. It's a stand alone building reminiscent of a estate in the Mexican countryside. The inside is just as amazing. It is decorated with murals, pottery, plants, flowers and wrought iron. That's the best part. The food is very subpar and way overpriced. I had the carnitas burrito and at $16.95, very disappointing. My wife had the artichoke and avocado enchiladas and she only ate one, and at $15.95, not a good deal. Our chip and drink guy was awesome, way better than the waitress. It a shame that it seems all the effort went to the building and the decor and not the menu and customer service.

Amazing Mexican restaurant

By christianMleon |

We love Los Panchos, amazing place, great service. The atmosphere is perfect for a date. My 5 years old son love this place.

Excellent Salmon

By sharrongeg |

Another great lunch. Ordered the Ensalada de Salmon ($19.95) and it was outstanding! Lunch entree included two large pieces of salmon - so much, I couldn't finish it. Hubby had the two item combo plate ($16.95) and said it was very good. Slight downside - we were seated upstairs and it was a challenge to get the attention of our server.

This Place is a Rip-Off

By moviegal226 |

Bring your wallet! Just because this place is in Downtown Summerlin, they think they can get away with charging outrageous -- and I do mean OUTRAGEOUS -- prices for simple Americanized Mexican food. Yes, the restaurant is gorgeous inside, with colorful clay tiles and a fountain in the middle of the dining room, but they are putting the high cost of their primo real estate onto unsuspecting customers' backs. I love Mexican food and Pancho's drew me in with an appealing menu. The first sign that this was going to be a disappointing meal was when the waiter brought out complimentary chips and salsa for the table. I judge a place by its chips, and these were pretty awful. They were cold, not salted at all, and honestly tasted like they were out of a big bag. They had to be. Ditto for the salsa, runny and bland and just gross. Pass. Next up was the queso fundido with artichoke hearts. This tasted more like Paula Deen's artichoke dip than Mexican queso, so don't order this if you just want tasty melted cheese. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Wouldn't get this again. I was dining with two friends and one had a beef quesadilla with a margarita, and the other had fajitas. I ordered the Especial de Cabo. The food ranged from truly inedible to mediocre, and all of it was grossly overpriced (see the pattern here)? NOBODY was happy with their meal. The kitchen was easy to work with and swapped out grilled vegetables for the rice, which I appreciated. The veggies were good and the flavor of the dish was acceptable, but what was so nasty was the huge puddle of water that settled into the bottom of my plate. It was extremely unpleasant to have to dig my food out of this murky water. The kitchen needs to do a better job draining the water and grease off of the food! As expected, my meal was very light on the meat (chicken breast, shrimp and crab meat -- it had like 3 shrimp total and one little scoop of crab meat), but there were at least some decent sized avocado chunks. This was a pretty good low carb dish in terms of creativity and flavor, but it was just too pricey for me to justify eating it regularly. The biggest offense here is that the tortillas aren't homemade. Every good Mexican restaurant ought to make their own tortillas. (At least they brew their own iced tea, and it was delicious). One friend ordered the fried ice cream for us to share and it was the superstar of the meal. But really, how can dessert NOT be delicious? I laughed at the miniature American and Mexican flags that were stuck in the top of our dessert because this had to be the most inauthentic Mexican meal I have ever had! The service was abysmal too. We had to wait forever for drink refills and for the check, and our server brought out our queso appetizer without any chips or any plates, so we had to sit there while our queso got colder and colder. Epic fail on the inattentive service. The three of us were left with disappointing meals and a disappointing experience all around and a whopping check for $165 for lunch. LUNCH! One hundred and sixty five dollars!!!! Talk about a genuine rip-off in the greatest sense of the word! I won't be returning to Pancho's.

Loved it

By cityboy_nz |

Didn't even know this place existed till we got a bogo in the mail. Really love the decor, like being in a small Mexican village, cobblestone floor, lots of trees and plants, live band in the cantina. Service was quick and efficient and the manager even checked on the tables. Restaurant was fullish and the meals were hot, fragrant and yummy. Found our new favorite Mexican restaurant.

Great Food with a very Comfortable Feel

By Karl F |

Would highly recommend Pancho's for whom ever enjoy southwestern style Mexican food - the restaurant is very comfortable - lot of fresh plants and awesome stain glass work. Service is spot on and cocktails very well done All in all a wonderful time Enjoy

Very expensive for what you get

By Mathew W |

The service is ok. The food is ok. The price is so so so High. Nothing to rave about but the high price. Food lacked a full flavor. Portion size was big and maybe to big.

Great Atmosphere, Great Service, Great Food

By melissa s |

We weren’t looking for Mexican food but we were so glad we found this place. Good food, was hot and delicious, and the portions were generous. Our server Agustin was outstanding taking time to make sure we were satisfied with the entire dining experience. Will return on next Vegas trip!

GREAT MEXICAN FOOD IN LAS VEGAS

By 707clayg |

The restaurant is about 8 miles from the strip in a nice shopping center without any crowds. The restaurant was very clean and decorated very nice. The service was great and the bar and food were superb. We were a group of 6 and they took great care of all of us. The menu does not have the normal So. Cal Mexican items but has a lot of the items made with sea food, a great selection of really good food items. The prices are really about the same as ordinary Mexican restaurants but the great items were worth much more. This was a very happy experience especially after eating for two days in Smokey places on the strip.

Excellent food! Will be back

By SethE56 |

While not cheap, the quality of the food is excellent. Burrito Chile Verde and tacos Al Carbon highly recommended. Beef was tender and flavorful. Warm, thin, fresh chips with good salsa. Inside of restaurant reminds me of a restaurant I visited while in Mexico.

Great guacamole wait staff aiming to please

By BBurns17 |

The portions are ample, we shared a fajita and took some home; by adding a few more veggies the next day at home had a second meal. The decor is festive and wait staff attentive and friendly. Guacamole is made in the kitchen but will add or subtract ingredients as you wish;. The location is in Downtown Summerlin so convenient for the Summerlin residents.

Nice building, good food

By pwulkan |

It is in Downtown Summerlin and in a very nice building. The services was very good and amazing to watch the waiters bring food down the stairs at breakneck speed. The food was very good, wine prices reasonable but the meals were a bit pricey ($15-18). I would certainly go back but not for a quick meal. I understand there is live music in the bar at certain times.

Disappointed!

By Adventure484940 |

The quality of the food and customer service are mediocre at best. There is much to be desired. I have had good experiences in the past but as of my most recent visit I would not go back especially after having a rude unattentive server and food so bad I could not eat it. I would like to challenge Pancho's to do better... much better!

Skip This Mexican Restaurant

By 98valeria06 |

Pancho’s has a beautiful ambiance the waiters were great but the food is probably the worst I have ever had and the prices were ridiculous not worth it I will not be going back to this place

So impressed.

By Deb N |

I'm a self professed foodie and a gluten free victim. This restaraunt met all my needs. Great decore, friendly accommodating service, excellent menu selections and authentic Mexican cuisine. Highly recommended.

Ambience says it all

By MominOC |

I liked the old school Mexican style of this place. So pretty with tile everywhere and warm atmosphere. Food was fair and too expensive. Margarita was good but also too expensive. Shared the Pollo Asada at $25, it was plenty but unimpressive.

Beautiful Spanish restaurant

By davestitz |

Had a very nice lunch and drinks. Place is old style authentic Mexican decor. Good service good food. Price ok. Salsa and chips good.

Pancho’s Delivers on All Aspects

By HawaiiKaiGail |

Located in Downtown Summerlin, the restaurant is large and very charming. A large cantina with nightly entertainment. Small Happy Hour menu that will save you a few $$. The margaritas are delicious! Hubby and I usually order the steak fajitas. Hot and just delicious. Served with rice, beans, guacamole and sour cream. Plenty for 2 to share. Large menu that will sure to please you. Mostly locals here. Every time we go, it is packed. 10% military discount with ID. Service has always been friendly and attentive. After a few times, they will know you. We love this place. All Good. 5 STARS.

Baja in Vegas!

By ClassicCouple |

This place was as if we were in Baja Mexico. Very good variety of choices. Fresh food and a restaurant with a awesome feel of old style Baja. Enjoyed the experience.

Great Mexican Food in Fun and Authentic Atmospher

By Sheila M |

This is another go to place in Downtown Summerlin. Great quality Mexican food. Beautifully decorated. Great for family, couples, date night and taking the grandkids out. Great Happy Hour too......

Great Happy hour appetizers

By Ken (haileythegolden) |

We went on a Sunday to the lounge. Happy hour prices most appetizers were $7. The chips and salsa was fresh and crisp and tasty. Great nachos except I forgot to ask without refried beans. The appetizer platter was very good and large portion. They had all the NFL games on in the lounge. Great service and good food

Pricey and Production Mexican Food

By R W |

Pricy food service is good there are better places to have Mexican food in LV . Went once will not go back. Food is just ok. Nothing to make you want to go back.

New Years Eve

By Jim A |

We came to Panchos for a new Years Eve dinner and it was perfect! Started off with their wonderful Naughty Maggie margaritas then I had the Tostada de Miguel for dinner and she had the Tacos de carnitas. Both meals were excellent before finishing off with the best Tres Leches Cake I have ever had. Our server, Agustin, was the best! Thank you Panchos and we will be back!

Always delicious

By SusieRussell |

We joined a group of friends recently at Pancho's in the Downtown Summerlin Mall (up by Red Rock Casino) for Happy Hour. Great deals, great food, yummy margaritas. Very nice Servers.

Average Food, Average Service, High Prices

By LasVegasGene |

Yes, the prices are high ($18 for a 2 item combination), entrees at $28, beers at $6.75 a glass, etc. but this is Summerlin after all. I would not have complained if the food was commensurate with the price but it is lacking in taste. It was lukewarm and overcooked when it was served, and we needed to add lots of salsa to make it spicy. Also, our appetizer was overfried and the corn tortilla shell burnt when it arrived. We lived previously near the Mexican border in AZ so went into Mexico many times to eat and the food at Panchos was seasoned more like Taco Bell than Mexican. I think the chef and management of Panchos decided to "dumb down" the taste to fit the Summerlin environment. Will we go back? Probably not. There are too many authentic Mexican restaurants in Las Vegas to go to instead of this Mexican pretender.

DUST ON THE STAIR WAY!

By Marcellus J |

The food was good and the waiters understood all our needs, I wanted to try a jalapeño margarita and the waiter said if I didn't like it I could replace it with something else. I was ok with my margarita but my wife had the special margarita and she wanted it replaced and he did. The salsa is good but no bean dip. I think bean dip and salsa is a must unless there is something better.

Overpriced

By Olly13538 |

We were in Vegas and a local told us that Pancho's did good Mexican Food. We were very impressed when we arrived as the place is very authentic. The girls at the front desk were very friendly and although busy on a Saturday night we didn't have to wait to be seated. That was where the good experience ended. The food is highly overpriced for what you get. I had the Carne Asada which was $23. It was cooked perfectly but I couldn't taste any Carna Asada at all. It was like the steak had never been marinated. Would not return!

This ain't New York City!

By visgage |

My wife and I split beef and chicken fajitas, and water to drink. They were delicious and a decent size but we almost paid forty bucks with tax and tip! This ain't New York City folks! Chips and salsa were very good.

Exceptional Service and Food!!!

By Mohats |

Went there for Group Luncheon in January 2016. They have a semi-private room. The food and wait staff were fabulous. Excellent Restaurant for any type of gathering. They have an excellent menu. I would highly recommend trying this Restaurant. A bit pricey, but worth every penny at least with our experience. They served great portions. Actually went there a few weeks prior in January for a regular Birthday Lunch with a small group. Both experiences were wonderful.

Was not to impressed

By Kari J |

We had gone here once just after they opened and had a bad experience. We decided to give it another try. We won't be going back. The food was OK, margaritas were OK, service was OK but prices are pretty high for a Mexican restaurant. Over $14 for guacamole? Cadillac margarita $11.75 would have been ok if it was good. Most of their entrees are over $17 even a chicken salad?

Good Mexican Food

By deadeye01 |

Pancho’s serves great Mexican food. I had the enchiladas mole and would order it again. The guacamole appetizer was also very good. The interior design is nice with many plants and palms that are all real. Would recommend to anyone that likes Mexican food.

Decent food. LIttle Expensive.

By Rdubnlc |

Granted, this is a new restaurant in an upscale area. We went on a Tuesday night and the place was quite busy. A good sign. The chips and salsa were good. The salsa has a nice flavor with a little heat without burning your mouth. We asked for something hotter and they delivered another salsa that was everything we asked for. Hot and flavorful. We ordered a Chicken Taco salad ($17), which was meh, no big deal. And an Artichoke and Mushroom Quesadilla (18).... That was delicious!!! We ordered 2 beers on tap each during the meal. They were rather small, not the jumbo size that so often comes in this market. Watch out for those. $7.50 a pop for a small beer on tap. The bill came to $75 for these few items... and that was before the tip. The beers were cold and tasty but not worth $30 for 4. I would return. The quesadilla really was worth the money. The salad, not so much.

Great Tasting Food and Great Service

By jrskk |

Had eaten at a few "Mexican" restaurants in Summerlin and was disappointed in all of them. Finally I tried Panchos and was pleasantly surprised to eat some great tasting Mexican food. The atmosphere is nice with lots of plants and trees and the service is very good. The prices would be better if they were a little lower, but this is Las Vegas and everything, except gasoline, is high.

Meh. It's ok.

By Reed |

Eh. It's ok. First impressions are great - it is a *beautiful* restaurant with a nice interior "courtyard" with a big staircase and nice fountain. Service was also very solid, polite and efficient. So why three stars? The food was extremely generic and somewhat flavorless. The chips tasted like they were out of a bag, the salsa had almost no flavor and each entree was just "meh". I had a cheese enchilada and taco combo. I've had tastier microwave Mexican. There wasn't anything wrong with it, but you would have a better experience at any chain Mexican restaurant. The other big issue is the insanely high prices. Expect to pay $17-20 for items that would be $9-11 at most other restaurants. If the food was unique and flavorful this would be OK... but what we had? Meh.

Save your time and money

By Ribrib60 |

Went to Pancho's just 1. we were in the neighborhood, 2. we had a 2 for 1 coupon, 3. the building is gorgeous and 4. we were curious. Never again. The interior decor is just as beautiful as the building's exterior. Very reminiscent of old Mexico. It seems however, that the management put all their energy into restaurant design and then forgot about food presentation, hostess welcome, waiter service and food taste. All of that was just a dull average. Only one menu: no lunch specials. In an empty restaurant at lunch time (just one other dining couple), the hostess pointed to our table not offering any choice. We also had a complimentary fried ice cream thru yelp but the waiter pointed to our coupon that indicated "not to be combined." Yes, I missed that - but there was no such message provided by Pancho's on Yelp. So, no complimentary ice cream. Note to management: put that note on Yelp as well. Also, always err on the side of the customer especially if it's only going to cost you a buck. In this case, it also cost you return customers, I have another coupon for Pancho's which I just tossed in the trash - I wouldn't insult my friends with such a coupon.

Simply Put A MUST!!!! the Best-Authentic Mexican Restaurant you're going....

By javilv |

There's plenty Mexican restaurants in town. This my amigos is The ONE, forget the cost per main entree, the ambiance is outstanding, decor oh my just like a mini hacienda and if you don't don't what a hacienda is just google it and see yourself. Everything I have had here is not good or Great it has been delectable. Restaurant has two locations. Original one in Manhattan Beach CA it's been open since 70's. Vegas location Chef learned from the original location, this has to be a methodical move by ownership in that they know their food is excellent and want to preserve the timeless Recipes. Try Enchiladas Chef Ramon they're amazing. Camarones a la diabla if you like spicy, and I am sure that not everything is superb but they're def worth it. Don't listen to reviewers who say it's expensive, remember this, you get what you pay for.

Tasty, But not Mexican (The Good, The Great, an Why You'd Avoid)

By RealAndTrueReviews |

Looking for good Mexican food in Las Vegas has been a difficult task. Having been told that this is one of the best places to get Mexican food in Las Vegas, my hopes were high. The food was delicious....but... The flavors were not ones you would associate with Mexican food. The Good - (The Location) - Located in downtown summerlin it is a great place for a date. With tons of dessert choices, shops to walk around in afterward, and easy to get to, this restaurant is in a very good location. The Great - (The Waitress) - Our waitress was Helen. Although it seemed as if most people were pleased with the service they received. Even when the kitchen made an error, she was quick to resolve it and maintained an awesome level of competency, friendliness, and the perfect amount of attentiveness. Why You'd Avoid - (Lack of authentic taste) The food was very tasty, however, I would not consider the flavors Mexican. The Mole had one note and while I was assured it was made in house, I can promise you it was not made properly. Having travelled extensively through Mexico, including Oaxaca (Mole Capitol of the world) I know Mexican flavors, this restaurant did not deliver. If you are looking for a nice night out on a date or with family, and enjoy American flavored Mexican style food, this place is definitely worth going to. If you are looking for Mexican food, this place is not what you are looking for.

Where do I start?

By Lifeisonetrip |

First off....not everyone that visits this shopping complex is a tourist or very wealthy. So needless to say, this restaurant is not "friendly" to regular working customers who want a nice meal for a fair price. No lunch menu? Not sure what that's about, but they are missing the mark on that one. The prices are wayyyyyy too high for what you get. If you have a coupon then it's better, however, you now have to purchase two drinks which are very pricey for sodas, etc. The quality of the food is decent, but weird portions. Salads have like a teaspoon of meat, the rest is lettuce, sour cream, etc. Will not be back!!

Great Mexican food

By redheadednative13 |

I ordered the puffy shrimp tacos. They were very tasty and flavorful. The chips and salsa were good too. We got the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer that was a little more bland than the food, but not bad. Great atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly.

Go during Happy Hour

By NitroDog |

We went during happy hour and sat in the lounge. Very good fresh ships and salsa and good drink specials. I took a look at the regular menu and the prices are high if you do not go during happy hour. Very nice Mexican theme restaurant. Very friendly staff. Photos added.

THEY BRAG ABOUT USING SOYBEAN OIL!

By tommychomper |

Been here before and its always been a little but of a step above avg but we have just learned they use SOYBEAN OIL when they cook everything and actually have the nerve to tell you its healthy! We wont be coming back until they change to avocado or EVOO or just butter.

Very good food and excellent service

By Chessplayer17 |

We brought in a party of five a couple of days before Thanksgiving for a granddaughter's birthday. Even a somewhat discriminating 7 year old can find something to like here. A great meal was made complete with the presentation of a birthday dessert to the young lady, accompanied with music. Frankly, Vegas has a number of really good restaurants that are away from the casinos. Visitors need to explore the City, not just the Strip.

Beautiful venue. Pricey Mexican food.

My friend and I decided to try this beautiful new Mexican restaurant in Downtown Summerlin. I made a "reservation" it is not a real reservation, it is like a hold your place in line, it still took an hour and 45 minutes for a table. The venue is beautiful, the menu is huge, to big for my taste, too much to look at and try and decide from. I ordered the special which was two fish tacos for 18.99, my friend had a veggie dish. My tacos were street tacos, nothing big or exciting, just a white fish. I could have had these tacos at many places in Vegas for much less and better. I know you pay for the atmosphere, but I would like to have excellent food at the same time. The service was so so, not excellent either. I am not sure I will go back, unless some other friends really want to do. I love Mexican food, but I can get way better food at many places in Las Vegas, not wait in line, and not pay these prices.

The Best Part Was The Salsa

By Michael K |

Maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen. Six of us went for Fathers Day and as regulars, we were pretty much disappointed in the quality of the food. The Philly Burrito was greasy and tasted like someone put a tablespoon of salt in the middle. Even the Carnitas was not that good. The place was NOT that busy so we couldn't blame it on the holiday. One person ordered the Burrito Ranchero and wouldn't finish it. Tasteless. One did order a pair of Beef Tacos and enjoyed them. We spend a lot of time in Puerto Vallarta and Cabo and this isn't a piece of Mexico. The building is beautiful and the help overall is very good. The best part was the salsa.

This is where we eat when we want mexican food!

By Marcellus J |

The food here is very good, the chips and salsa starts the meal off with a good beginning. The drinks from the bar have a very good taste and we have one or two each visit. My favorite is the burrito in enchilada sauce, my wife’s is cheese enchiladas.

Hit the spot

By LolaDelaney |

This was a great spot for dinner with the family. The food was delicious (even better the next day). Our service was top notch and the atmosphere was lovely. We could hear the musicians in the next space but it was complimentary not overpowering.

Excellent In All Ways !!

By ratetheplace |

Tried this restaurant this evening and we really enjoyed ourselves. The Margaritas are excellent and big. The atmosphere is super, because now the holiday décor is up and it is very lovely and festive. It is a big place with a open seating area upstairs as well, with old fashioned dark wood bannisters and railings - if you appreciate ambiance. The chips and salsa they serve first, free, are very tasty. They are addictive! Ha.. We tried the 3 Enchilada dish as it is chicken, beef (shredded) and cheese with beans and rice. Huge serving and could not finish. Was absolutely delicious. The entire staff at this restaurant is extremely kind, the servers were outfitted very cool and were all efficient. The manager came by and asked how everything was as well. The price of the dishes are a bit steep, but considering what you get and the general ambiance, this is all included really. Would definitely go back. : )

A weekly event

By ChristchurchKevin |

We have been going to Pancho's once a week since they opened, and finally decided to write a review. The service is ALWAYS top notch, and the restaurant is beautiful. We have never had a bad meal here, and have tried almost everything on the menu. Their signature margarita is the Naughty Maggie. It is an average margarita at best and never consistently made. For its price and it being their signature drink, it should be top notch! I have no problem spending $ for a good drink, but this is not it. I do think they are priced a little high, but it won't stop us from returning.

Burritos are filling

By Jay H |

We ordered three dishes, the crab and shrimp Quesadilla, shredded chicken burrito and a grilled chicken burrito. The Quesadilla was tasty, but not a lot of shrimp or crab in it. Both burritos were good and had plenty of meat in them. If we decide to go back, with would not get the quesadilla again due to the lack of meat.

Good food but the music was really loud

By LaraeCatoera |

We came to Pancho's for dinner last night. The service was fast and the food was good! We got the tacos de camarones and trios los panchos. We also could not stop eating the chips! It was good. The only thing we did not really like was the band music in the bar area was really loud.

Overpriced mediocrity

By pgfoodie |

I took my family of three (two adults and one child) for dinner with friends. The building is beautiful and the front desk friendly, but that's where the good ends. Our table was cramped near the upstairs kitchen/bar area with people walking close by throughout our meal. My wife and I each had drinks, nothing spectacular. My daughter ordered cheese dip that was truly inedible. Imagine my surprise when I saw the bill; $18 cheese dip! Overall, dishes were normal (think enchiladas, burritos, tacos with the usual ingredients) but were truly nothing special. Total bill was $155 for the three of us, with two beers, two house margaritas, two adult entrees and one kids meal! For that price, there are way better restaurants in town (in Downtown Summerlin, for that matter) and for less than half that price better Mexican restaurants within a five minute drive. I can't wait for this place to close and a better Mexican restaurant move in to make use of the beautiful space.

Run DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!

By Kathy Davis |

This restaurant should be ashamed serving food that I would not even feed to my dog. I was eating by myself and it was very obvious the waiter be was not interested in taking my order, the only saving grace was the young man that kept my water filled and was extremely nice and polite. My food so atrocious I could not even eat it, I asked for beef fajitas, I requested them to be rare and on a plate by itself with no vegetables and simply a side order of cheese, guacamole and sour cream what I got was a huge wet greasy mess that was literally not edible which I paid $27 for. this place should be ashamed of itself's I spoke to a manager and he made no attempt to adjust my bill just simply said he was sorry and when I came back ask for him like that's going to happen. The building is pretty but that's about the only thing this place has to offer it certainly doesn't have good service and absolutely the worst Mexican food I've ever experienced. If you happen to stumble onto this place as I did and you look at the menu and the prices run, run as fast as you can because it's just exactly what it looks like a trap that offers you horrible food at the highest possible price. Needless to say I will never return.

Great service, yes, but overpriced, mediocre Cali Mexican food.

By Lyle B |

Pancho's is apparently a big deal in Manhattan Beach/LA and much enthusiasm followed its opening of a store in Downtown Summerlin. The location here in Summerlin is quite large and fairly noisy, with very nice decor. Live music is featured in the bar. And the service is outstanding: very friendly and efficient. But the food is, unfortunately, nothing to get excited about, particularly here in the western Las Vegas, where it faces excellent competitors like Frank and Fina's and Juan's. The food is that unfortunate version of Mexican food most often found in California: bland, bland, bland, as if they fear offending delicate Cali palates with some hot peppers. For those of us who like this cuisine as flavorfully practiced in New Mexico and Colorado, no reason exists to visit again. Plus, perhaps due to its location in the very popular Downtown Summerlin development, it's pretty expensive for the Las Vegas suburbs, for Mexican food anyway, with prices near those charged to the tourists on the Strip.

Cute spot but pricey

By StaceInYoFace17 |

So after many past debates on coming into Panchos, we decided to visit today on National Margarita Day during happy hour. Since their opening, we've heard the same reviews (and Yelp reviews confirm the rumors) that the food is yummy but very overpriced. We heard the best time to go is during Happy Hour so we finally decided to check them out during their Happy Hour. Quickly into our visit, we immediately agreed the prices were very high, including happy hour. The ambiance is awesome and makes you feel like you're not in Vegas but the prices remind you that you haven't left the city, even with the happy hour prices. We sat at the bar and the service was great from bartender, manager and food runner but ugh that doesn't compensate the high menu prices. Mexican food is affordably reasonable but $15 for guacamole??? I couldn't convince myself to pay that price. My bf ordered the Wahoos tacos ($19, 2 tacos with rice & beans) but that was his only meal for the day so he splurged. He said they were yummy but expensive. Also their menu is very long. You feel like you're reading a book when browsing through the options which immediately turned me off. Honestly it took me a bit to find the guacamole b/c I was scamming the menu looking for it and it blended right into the other menu items. Great ambiance but high prices to pay for it

A must to take visitors. They spared no expense to make you feel welcome.

Great food in the middle of a forest of trees and flowers. The best Mexican food in Vegas. Try the Cadillac margaritia

definitely not south of the border

By earle sullins |

Living 2 blocks from Panchos, I was surprised to see that the new restaurant was located in Downtown Summerlin. We decided to stop for lunch after shopping today. Upon entering we decided to sit at the Bar as it was closest and usually we get better service sitting at the Bar. Our Bartender/server was very nice. I asked for menus and water. Upon getting the menu I proceeded to check it out. The cheapest entree for lunch was $15.00. Come on, really 2 tacos $15.00. 2 enchiladas $15.00. a house green salad $7.00. The Margaritas are made with sweet and sour. Jesus. They don't even know how to make a real margarita My enchiladas were so bad I only ate one. I give Panchos 6 months and Adios. Shame because it would be nice to have a fun, quality place close to home.

Interesting Summerlin Mexican Restaurant

By Walt53 |

This is a two story restaurant with what I would class as "Gringo" Mexican food - sort of California style Mexican! Food was served fast, service was excellent, but the food seemed average. The kitchen appeared to be upstairs, with the waiters climbing down a flight of stairs with their heavy trays laden with Mexican food! Worth a try depending on your taste for Mexican food!

Upscale Mexican

By normanf230 |

Great food and attentive service. Enjoyed our first visit to Pancho's and will return. Very good food and service. We were there just before the dinner hour (5:30) and was seated immediately. Wednesday night and the dining room was not very full. My point is the place wasn't crowed and we didn't need to be rushed. We ordered ceviche and entrees. The server brought our meal before we finished our ceviche. Recommend the "trainers" remind servers to stage food to the clients schedule not the kitchens.

Nice Building and Service ,Food is Barely Average

By LTnLV |

I am writing this review feeling very disappointed. I was looking forward to this restaurant opening and hoping for really great, authentic ( or at least USA style authentic), Mexican food. The building is very nice and the server was very polite and attentive....other than that..... We went early on a Thursday afternoon ( 4 PM) and the restaurant was not busy at this point. The hostess took us to what must be the worst table in the restaurant. It was in the back and near the kitchen door and the server station. Normally, I would have objected and asked for another table, but this being our first time there, I wanted to see what else was in store. I am familiar with the concept of filling tables back to front, but this was a bit extreme based on the hour and the number of customers. It did give me a good view of part of the kitchen, which looked clean and well maintained. The server was at our table almost immediately and took our drink order. I ordered a traditional Margarita on the rocks. Hubby had a draft beer. The Margarita had a minimal amount of Tequila and was not at all remarkable in taste.Chips and salsa came to the table, and the salsa ,while a bit spicy , was lacking in any depth of flavor. I decided to go with a classic combo, beef taco and cheese enchilada and my husband ordered the Carne Asada Al La Ab. The combo, priced at $17.95,does not come with salad or soup. Unusual in my experience for Mexican restaurants. My husband's entrée did get the soup or salad choice. The Carne Asada has Hanger steak and my husband was not asked how he liked it cooked, which I assume represents that it's already prepared. The entrees were delivered in a timely manner. My entire plate was lackluster and had none of the savory deliciousness that I would expect from that plate. The shredded beef in the taco, the cheese enchilada and even the rice and beans were all very bland. My husband's Hanger steak tasted OK, it was medium well to well done...but had some taste to it. The other components on the plate were the same as mine. Unfortunately, I see no reason to return to this place. The food is pricey for Mexican, which would be OK if it was really good, but at best, it's just OK.

Ok, but not awesome....

Had dinner with the family at the new Pancho's in Downtown Summerlin Friday night after waiting three weeks to get in. I will say it was nice to have reservation as they got us right in. Our waiter Miguel was very nice and super attentive, and the backup wait staff made sure we had water and chips all night. The salsa was good as well with just a touch of heat. The decor is beautiful inside. You can tell they spent a lot of money building the place. We remarked all night how tough it would be to run up and down the stairs with trays of food. The staircase is crazy tall. I don't know how they do it. My main issue with the place is the food is just okay, but the prices are really expensive. The margarita called "the Maggie" was pretty decent but pricey. The menu items are easily twice the price of another neighborhood place we like better called Viva Mercados. My wife and I agreed that a comparable dinner at other Mexican restaurants would have been about half of what we paid. Our overall impression was the place is good but not great, so the price isn't justified for what you get.

Worth a visit

By ThomUSA |

Priced a bit high, but the food was good overall. Service was average. Interior was attractive. Beef fajitas were excellent. Chicken Chimichanga was not as good. Salsa was way too sweet. I'd suggest asking for a hot salsa also and combine the two. Much better that way.

Pancho's Si

By richard b |

Good location, décor, service, food. Pricing about right for Las Vegas area. Portions could have been larger for the price but adequate for lunch.

Food poisoning

By whitneys779 |

I had my rehearsal dinner at this restaurant on October 6th of 2016. I spent my entire wedding day throwing up, and honestly had a terrible wedding. I sat at a table with a bucket throwing up! There were also other members of my family and friends who got sick as well. We will not be going back.

A Fine Lunch Spot

By John S |

Upscale Mexican menu, really fine staff (thank you Jason), and a friendly and helpful owner (Adam) all contributed to a delightful lunch with friends. Burritos are big and flavorful, and the Mexican beer is cold. Good place!

Beautiful Place

By mauiwolf |

It's strange. I can't really recall much about my meal. I don't remember it being bad (which is a good thing). But I also don't remember it being really good. But what I do remember is that it was such a beautiful place inside. I felt like I was in a large Mexican estate with big leafy plants, water features and cascading stairways. It's worth trying out just to see it. And to be fair, I do remember we got really good service.

Expensive Lunch

By Brad E |

Stopped by for lunch today. Very nice decor, and nice service. But for a basic lunch the bill was far too high for what we had. We will not be coming back.

Good quality Mexican food.

By jayd240 |

This Mexican food is of good quality and above average portions. Price is average for a sit down type of Mexican restaurant.

A nice addition to the community

By KSSeaB |

I LOVE Mexican food and always despair at the few truly good Mexican restaurants within the Las Vegas Valley. The only one I truly love is Lindo Michoacan in Henderson. Anyhow, had both lunch and dinner here today. Service was very good both times. I had the Jalapeño Margarita this afternoon. If you like a little spice, try it. This evening I order Dos Equis Amber in a glass. The beer was VERY cold and served with almost no head. (Perfection!) The Scallops Ceviche was excellent. The fish tacos were too big (fat) to keep inside the soft taco shells. They tasted fine, but too messy to eat. Chips are just OK. The salsa is just okay; a bit runny, no flavor. Can't compare to the salsa at Lindo Michoacan. Fun to read about the restaurant (within the covers of the menu) and to look around at the furnishings. Easy parking. We had a two-for-one coupon and had no problems with it being honored. Saved us $16, or $8 each. Beware that the drink specials are only good in the bar, not in the restaurant itself. A bit pricey, but definitely a good addition to Las Vegas' selection of Mexican restaurants.

Classy Mexican

By Jodee D |

Cute place has been open a little over a year. Great staff the Tuesday we came. Nice margarita and tasty dinners. I'm not a fan of Mexican food but will come back here. Looked very clean and well run.

Good food but overpriced!

By LVworldTraveler |

Group of six. Two drinks each, one entree each, and 2 shared appetizers. Food was good. Half the entrees great. Half were bland. Mexican food is inexpensive to prepare. Our group dines together most Friday nights and we spent 35%more than what our usual tab is in many local authentic Mexican restaurants.

After hiking meal

By richardrB1738IN |

Very nice place. Happened on it looking for late lunch after hiking all morning. Was great ambiance and price for us. We felt right at home. Quick service. Hope to visit again.

Nice little place for drinks or dinner.

By jinx378 |

Enjoyed this gem I didn't even know was there. It's located in a great shopping district about a 15 - 20 minute drive from the Strip. The food is very good, happy hour has more than little appetizers. I was able to fill up with chips & salsa & tequitos - which came with guac, sour cream, excellent green sauce and more. That and bottomless ice tea was under $12! They also have great music. The night I was there a duo (Stefnrock) was playing. I haven't had a chance to try any other items yet, but I will most definitely go back! As I was driving didn't get to try their margarita's but can't wait to, as they looked fantastic!!

Beautiful and good food and drinks

By Janis I |

This is a beautiful Mexican restaurant in the downtown Summerlin area. Located right by the Red Rocks Casino and hotel. The chili rellanos are made with the larger Poblano chilis and are thicker than Anaheim, but have a lot of mild flavor. I had the albondigas soup and it was very good and traditional although it did have a bit of potato. Margaritas are good and $11 which is about average. . Drinks have sure gotten expensive these days. Chips and salsa good too. The restaurant is filled with plants, wood and brick and is two story so quite beautiful inside. The server could have smiled and been a bit friendlier but did a good job getting the food out.

Wows you on the outside mehs you on the inside

By EmmePink |

The building is gorgeous, the reviews seemed hesitant but not overall negative. We were seated at a table behind the hostess stand and serenaded by their buzzing cel phones all night. I can't remember what I ordered, the dinner being nothing remarkable. The Tres Leches cake was stellar. Let me talk to you about service. Alfredo, our server, started the night charming and hilarious. Once dinner ended things got a little off kilter. We had coffee with dessert, my companion asked for a refill, which was never received. The bill was brought and placed on the far end of the table. Ten minutes later, the server reappears & asks if we need anything - my companion asked about her coffee and we were told we don't serve decaf as the bill was slid across the table to my elbow. We discussed how that was rude...and about five minutes later the server returned to ask, again if we need anything & slide the check in the general direction of my companion. We pay, awkward server returns & says "thank you, no rush ladies, enjoy your evening"...followed by a manager who asks if we need anything....as a menu comes soaring over the balcony from upstairs and lands in the fountain behind us...manager walks away saying nothing. Another five minutes....and the manager comes by to thank us...another five minutes and the server tells us he'll give us another table but he needs ours so can we be troubled to leave. Upon a 'wow' or two, we do & then he apologizes. I get needing a table, I don't get a manager having no problem with us being at the table. I get the turn around at a restaurant but I don't understand offering & not delivering a refill on coffee. Since the food wasn't remarkable, but the way we were treated on exit is - I won't return.

Nice atmosphere, good food, but expensive

By mmLV777 |

This was our first dinner at Pancho's. We knew it was expensive, but had a coupon for buy-one-get-one up to $16 if you buy two drinks (iced tea was $3.75 each). The atmosphere is very nice and the staff was friendly. I had two chicken enchiladas and my wife had two cheese enchiladas. Each entree came with rice and beans. We opted for black beans. The portion size was good and the good tasted good. Chips and salsa were also provided. While we enjoyed the atmosphere and food, we would only consider returning if we had another coupon.

Great atmosphere. Food was

By Raymond S |

Great atmosphere. Food was good having the Burrito Del Mar. Salsa with chips had the right amount of heat. Little pricey compare to amount of food and to comparable Mexican restaurants in the area.

Beautiful Decor- an indoor garden

By WhyteWind |

We have been waiting for this place to open and we enjoyed it. The inner courtyard has tons of plants and atmosphere- oh and the food is pretty good too! It is not however your inexpensive Mexican place- we tried both the chile verde burrito and the Mole de Pipian, which was outstanding. The wait staff was excellent and the manager stopped by to check in with us also. I know we will eat here again.

Expensive Basic Mexican Food

By jbliv |

I am not a cheapskate by any means, however Panchos is absolutely overpriced for basic Mexican food. The least expensive margarita is $9 and entrees average $17 with some going much higher. I expect to pay more at some of the more upscale Mexican restaurants in town, but this is BASIC Mexican food, and nothing to rave about. It is good, but not great. They are obviously having to cover the cost of building this eyesore in the middle of Downtown Summerlin, so be forewarned before you are surprised.

Seriously disappointed

By Lifeisonetrip |

Live in the area and was anxiously awaiting the opening of this new addition to Downtown Summerlin. The building is very appealing looking and the indoor décor is quite nice; however, the food was way too expensive for what you get and not particularly good either. Not very hot and bland tasting. Service was good, only because they had more wait staff than customers I suspect. Will not be visiting again!

Above average food and service, expensive though

By gleem |

My husband and I visited Pancho's recently on vacation trip to Las Vegas, didn't have to wait for seat on main floor as we had a mobility scooter and couldn't be seated upstairs.. Servicing staff were very efficient and tended to us promptly with our drinks and chips and salsa. Salsa was too spicy for our taste, chips were good and refilled as needed. Entrees were large portions, and above average in taste and presentation, although very expensive. Our bill was around $45, with sodas only , inc. tax, and before tip. Be prepared for average of $15-20 per person for most entrees. Restaurant is in the Downtown Summerlin Mall, and can be hard to get to, depending on where you park in the mall.

Wonderful Brunch

By seawolf1963 |

My wife and I had Mother's Day brunch at Pancho's in Downtown Summerlin. It was wonderful in all aspects. The menu has about 11 different items, all under $20. It includes all the chips and salsa you can eat as well as all the champaign you can drink. It starts with a fruit cup, then main course then desert. I had a chirizo quesadea and my wife had a shredded chicken tostado. Both were very good. The atmosphere and service were top notch. I would recommend.

$$$

By Fonzy A |

Tortilla chips taste pretty stale . Is not the best Spanish rice it tastes like just came out of the box. I order a $23.00 beef fajita it's good for a bit pricey. They to work on their salsa, corn chips , and their rice. Food is fare but pricing.

Good Service Poor Quality of Food

By Charles C |

I have been to Pancho's in other parts of the country. The decor is beautiful, service is excellent, but food quality far below standards. Meat was dry and burnt, temperature was poor overall the quality of food was sub standard. Will not go back as it is also over priced.

Nothing special except for the architecture

By G P |

My wife and I did a nice lunch at Pancho's located in Downtown Summerlin. The interior architecture of the building is quite nice. The service was adequate but nothing memorable. The food was average but the pricing is a bit out of line with comparable dining in our competitive city. We have no problem going back but it will not be first choice on the long list of great dining opportunities here in Las Vegas.

Too expensive

By Stephanie S |

I have been there 3 times each time trying to like it and no luck. The food is super expensive for what you get and not even good. The chips are nasty. A must for a Mexican place is good chips and salsa. Not here! Each time I tried a different dish and all times I was disappointed and shocked when the bill came. Margaritas are good but that's about it. If you go eat dinner before you get there and stay at the bar!

Tried this restaurant by accident while visiting mall area. The food was outstanding and the restaurant itself is modern and well done. The service was very good and they have a happy hour. Parking is right at the door. We will be ging back.

family lunch

By jmorth |

My wife and her adult niece and nephew and I stopped in here for lunch last week. Service was good. The waitress was attentive, the food came out in a timely manner but the food was average ... with the building and decor being very Mexican, I was anticipating an over the top meal ...which I could say it was outstanding. The salsa was good and had a bit of a kick and we used it heavily to brighten the taste of our dishes (we all had a mixture of tacos, enchiladas or chiles rellenos). At an average price of $20 pp for lunch, I would cal this mid-range.

Save your money & hit up Taco Bell

By Stef F |

This is not my 1st lackluster experience here, but it's at least my last. I really JUST wanted 2 hard chicken tacos. I was told I would have to order a combo plate to get them crunchy. That made precisely zero sense but I didn't feel like debating it. I'll be honest, I didn't check the price. Those 2 tacos (chicken, lettuce, cheese, pico) & a half a cup of rice & beans came to a whopping $19 pre-tip. I will pay for scrumptious food. Unfortunately, this was not. The chicken did not have a morsel of flavor & the beans were overcooked. It's also worth noting that making up the salsa were so many huge chunks of what looked like stewed tomatoes that I could have used them to make homemade pasta sauce. & there was so much cilantro in the salsa that it may as well have been a side salad.

So cute

By roma2srs |

This place is so cute. It makes you feel like you are in Mexico. I went with a group of friends for dinner. Service was good and very attentive. First they bring chips and salsa to the table and we all enjoyed that. I had the tortilla soup and then the beef fajitas that were cooked med rare as I ordered them. For desert we shared an order of the mini sopapillas which were delicious.

Bad margaritas

By leon d |

This place had the best margaritas in Las Vegas but lately they are of the worst. Not sure what happened but have made several visits with different people that sent them back without drinking them without me sharing my opinion. I hope they fix this because they are not cheap for now I will be going somewhere else where I can get great food and great margaritas. Leon

MIXED REVIEW

By SoCalOregonian |

Arrived for lunch on 9/24, with 11 people, were told it would be a 45 minute wait, walked into bar area and barkeep said it is open seating and full menu so we pushed 3 tables together. If we had not asked the barkeep (Ruth) about eating in the bar area, the hostess in the restaurant would have run off a $215 lunch tab. The service by Ruth in the bar was great. Got all 11 orders right and was on top of everything. I had the scallops with jalapeno creme. The scallops were a little rubbery but the veggies were perfection. 1 star for the hostess who couldnt think outside the box and 5 stars for Ruth who provided us a place to eat and delivered great service.

Good Food, Good Atmosphere

By Rich807 |

Everything was very satisfactory to include the service. Decor is quite upscale. Relleno was very good, taco was ok, rice & beans decent. Would visit again.

Beautiful Restaurant!

By Boo |

Hubby and I decided to try this locale after seeing that it was listed as Best of Las Vegas AND we had a BOGO coupon. The restaurant is beautiful! The service was excellent and the portions were huge! As other reviewers noted, this is a pricey place and the food did not have much flavor. I had the fish tacos with little fish but tons of cabbage. My husband had a pork dish which he enjoyed. We will return only with another BOGO coupon to give it another chance.

Hasn't changed -- which is a good thing

By KSSeaB |

I ate at Pancho's several times during 2017 and even posted a four-star review. I met a friend today and, because she lives in Summerlin, I suggested Pancho's. I hoped that it would be just as good now as it was then. It was. The parking lot, pandemic protocols, staff, the size of the restaurant, the atmosphere / decor, all contribute to a very pleasant dining experience. The food is good but not great. Pancho's is a bit pricey, as well. Nonetheless, we three spent two hours at lunch, enjoying every minute of the food and the fellowship. Tortilla Soup was a bit greasy. The chips were unsalted. My Mahi Mahi Ceviche was good, although I've had (and made) better. I hadn't expected it to be spicy, but it was. One of my friends had the Shrimp Ceviche and it was way too spicy for her. We shared the Mariscos en Crema Limon; it was VERY rich. I won't order that again.

Nothing spectacular

By VegasMom777 |

We finally got to try this new neighborhood restaurant at Downtown Summerlin and was quite disappointed. Not only were they pricey, the food was not memorable at all. They do have nice decor though and their staff gave good service.

Expensive and food is substandard, recommend going elsewhere

By WeATravelingFam |

We excited to see a Mexican restaurant open in DT Summerlin. Not at all what I expected when compared to the other caliber of restaurants offered in the Vegas local area. Drinks were good, bit pricey. Chips were room temperature (would expect them to warm them) and the salsa was average. Ordered the fajitas. Small amount of steak for $20. Really, like maybe 4-5 ounces and was not tender at all. Shells look like they are store bought and not made fresh. No cheese. But worst part was the veggie looked like they were just cut and tossed on the pan. No searing and were crunchy. They cut a tomato in 1/4 that threw it on top raw. Why? My friend had a $15 enchilada and taco and said it was tasteless. Overall way very disappointing and would not recommend for anything but drinks. Taco Bell is a safer choice and about 1/4 the cost. Service was not bad, but food was such a disappointment we did not care at that point.

So So

By Shaun G |

I took my mom and dad there visiting from California. we were there during Happy Hour . We ordered 2 Margaritas and 2 beers an appetizer and 2 entrees ( Fajitas and a combo plate) nothing fancy. The food was just OK, the bill came to over $100 and that's during Happy hour. Not worth it for what you get.

Wow - Great Mexican Food

By VSattui1232 |

This is why I use TA, as an out of towner and finding a great Mexican restaurant such as Panchos. Wow, everyone loved the food, the service was great, drinks were flowing and tasty. It's worth your while to go out of your way to eat here.

Great Find in our neighborhood

Great service, wonderful menu with quite a selection from standards for a mexican restaurant with many other delicious sounding plates. Was Beautiful inside although a little noisy downstairs. We sat upstairs and overlooked a beautiful plant filled central area below. The chips were unremarkable, salsa spicy, tequila great! Our entrees were plentiful and good as leftovers.

Best Mexican Restaurant

My wife and I had dinner at Panchos in Downtown Summerlin last evening. The food was absolutely great. I had the Chef Ramon enchilada and my wife had the shrimp and crab quesadia. Both were delicious. Additionally the decor and service are top notch. Panchos is a little pricey however it is worth it.

Our Anniversary

We had been here before and decided this is where we wanted to eat before seeing a movie. We had the fajitas...best ever!! Have the chicken, it's better than the beef. The onions and red peppers are superb. It's a great atmosphere and James was a great host/bartender. The house gave us complimentary champagne with our wonderful dessert.

Not a fan of the stale chips

By Stephanie S |

Hoping this would be a great Mexican locals spot I tired to visit several times. Every time I ordered something different and was not impressed. The food is expensive and there is no lunch size/ price portions. The chips have always been stale. The margaritas are good tho. Wish they would up their food quality.
