"A Bensonhurst Gem"

By Guide317114 |

A great little corner restaurant that will remind you of the old days. It is small, but really special. If you crave an excellent Panini with a small salad or a Crepe with really, really good Espresso This is a really great choice! The inside is small, but there are outside cafe tables as well. The menu is simple, but this is a perfect example of the decision to pick a specialty and just do it really well. Awesome Panini. With plenty of choices. The servers are really nice and there are plenty of them for such a small restaurant. They do take out as well. It will be crowded for both Lunch & Dinner times. But worth the wait.

Italian Flair- Hipster Cafe

By PaulaNYFL |

Stopped I for a quick bite at 8:45pm. Lots of seating for skinny people. Really nice ambiance-servers were nice -good selections of salads, paninis & wraps. I had a romaine salad w/feta, green olives, red onions & cucumbers and I opted for shrimp all mixed with a red wine vinaigrette. It was delicious. Hubby had a chicken panini w/mozzarella, roasted red peppers & pesto glaze served with a small dark green salad with super fresh grape tomatoes. Perfect size and he enjoyed it. He had coffee and I had green tea. Overall, this is a great find in Dyker Heights-go and enjoy! Cool little place with good music and fresh food with an Italian flair!

Worth visiting!

By Mikalojus D |

Looking for a good and cheap plqce to eat don't worry you just found one! Cozy interior, good music, friendly and advising staff, and the most important fresh and tasty food. Also, very friendly for your wallet considering quality and that it is Brooklyn (only cash accepted but ATM is inside). We ordered paninies P20 (chicken, cheese, veggies, and pesto), P37 (chicken, bacon and sauce) and cappuccino. Everything was supper tasty and far better than the most places we have tried in Manhattan. Dinner for two was less than $30. So it is totally worth it taking a longer subway ride and visit it!

Lunch

By Lou |

This is a wonderful place for a casual meal. The staff is always very personable and attentive and the owner/chef, Lou, is the best at what he does. Lou always makes you feel like your eating at home. But most of all the food is over the top! The soups are hearty and delicious and the panini's, the panini's are the best we've ever tasted. You can choose from a variety of panini's from the menu or you can build your own to your liking. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, you will never be disappointed!

"The food is fresh and beautifully presented"

By Sunflowerdays |

Small, attractive neighborhood restaurant. Very clean with outdoor seating. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served. Great place for an expresso break. The menu offers quite a few choices accommodating everyone's palette. The food is fresh, beautifully presented and reasonably priced. The wait staff is very personable and quite happy to accomodate, especially Alexa. Panino Rustico does not have a liquor license nor does it accept credit cards.

Hidden Jewel

This place is an unbelievable find, hidden in the middle of Nowhere, Brooklyn. Excellent panini, espresso and soups. All fresh first-rate ingredients. Service is great. I've been going out of my way to find myself in the neighborhood when I'm hungrey.

Great local Italian spot...

Lived in this neighborhood my whole life, I’ve been coming to this spot since it opened and still get paninis as often as I can. Great food, great people, and very comfortable atmosphere. If you’re going with a large group try to call ahead. Seating is pretty limited, unless it’s the warmer months and you can sit outside. Definitely a neighborhood staple and a must try!

Delish

I wanted to take my mom and friend for a quick bite at lunch time. We spotted this quaint looking spot and had lunch. The paninis were delicious. Very fresh ingredients, good service and a friendly atmosphere. We will return to try another panini (so many choices, it was hard to pick one). Also would love to try the crepes, they looked great. We also had cappucino, nice and strong. The prices can't be beat. Try this place, you won't be disappointed. The even have delivery service !

Delicious food

I have eaten here a few times and wanted to let others know how delicious the food is. The staff is also very attentive. The place is small but you can choose to sit outside or indoors. If there is a wait for a table it is well worth it. Enjoy

Nothing special!

By Joseph F |

Food very ordinary. You can run up a bill quickly on small things. There is a smell of burnt toast inside the restaurant but you can sit outside if the weather is nice. They need to get better kitchen extractors as it is quite a small place with poor ventilation. Also bathroom was out of commission. Went back a few days later and bathroom still wasn't fixed. Tense facial expressions on men who were preparing food packages for delivery. Americano coffee was nothing special and served in paper cup. Girls were friendly..

Excellent small neighborhood place

By viczi |

This area of Brooklyn was missing this type of restaurants - small, trendy, with outdoor sitting, perfect for a quick bite. Excellent selection of panini and crepes. Also a BYOB policy which is rare in NYC. I recommend a selection of four bruschettas of your choice. My only negative comment is that the selection is quite limited. And the main item of a quick Italian bite is missing - pizza.

Outstanding

Great Food With a Great Staff

By Karyn K |

Walk into this restaurant and you no longer feel like you are in Brooklyn - yet you do! There is an option for inside or outside dining and everything on the menu is what you WANT to order. Known for its paninni's - the salads are equally as scrumptious! Soup!?!?! Unbelievable! My family eats at this place often (and doesn't feel often enough!!!) The staff is warm and friendly and the owner greets you as if you are family! For wonderful dining experience - DON'T MISS this little gem hiding in plain sight!

Absolutely love this place. Have been there a few times on a Saturday and it is always packed! Great food and great coffee

Tasty

By ZxTravel |

The best panini I ever had. We found this restaurant by accident while we’re in the area. It was hard to find parking. We almost gave up to go find another place for lunch. I’m glad we did not. This restaurant must be very popular because it was packed with the locals. That was the good sign. The food was delicious.

Another great experience. The food is great, the service is great. I live in Staten Island but if I am in the area I'll stop there. Please visit --you will not be disappointed. Special thanks to the Panino girls--Brianna, Veronica .Ang and Olivia. You treated us as if we were special.

Diamond in the Rough

By Louie V |

Out of nowhere I found Panino Rustico. Located on a corner in a quiet residential Bensonhurst neighborhood. They make the most amazing paninis here! You must try them although seating is limited and it gets kind of crowded at lunch and dinner, its definitely worth the wait.

The owner,Lou,and staff make you feel like family!!!
