This is quite a while now on spot in Culver City. Some movies have shot some scenes here. And the place has a very nice ambience and it is usually very busy. You may need to wait 15 minutes or so for a table. But it is worth it. There is standard diner fare with a southern flavor. We shared the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potato and that was very tasty. For the kids, there is a meal consisting of chicken tenders and fries, which is more than enough to feed two or three kids below the age of 10, although it is not specifically part of a kids menu. The milkshakes are also very good here. The bathrooms are pretty basic and they have plenty of free parking outside. Our waitress was pleasant but the place was very busy so your server will probably not be super attentive while you are there. Overall a good dining experience.

We loved the decor and food! We walked to the restaurant so parking was no issue for us. Server was very friendly and food came quickly! The food was nice and the price was right! We went on a Sunday so the place filled up quit quickly. Come early!

Ok, it is my first chicken and waffles meal, but I'm betting I'm now spoiled. Ended up in the area due to crappy hotel accommodations and Panns was across the street. This made the sketchy area all worth it. Chicken was lightly fried, but crispy. Each piece was hot theu the whole meal, never cooled off. Tells me they fried them on the spot. Waffle was crispy outside, soft inside. Little hot syrup and warm butter and i was in food heaven. Great atmosphere, great staff, and a damn good cup of coffee to boot.

went for breakfast last week, fast service, large breakfast for your money, they don't skimp on the food, it was well prepared and good, i had french toast with fried chicken wings , and grits, my husband had a hamburger and fries for breakfast. all very good, service was detailed which is rare...

Pann's is a great place for breakfast and to have a feel of the 60's atmosphere. Had the fried chicken and waffle! A must try after a long flight or on your way to LAX.

Went here as we stayed at a nearby hotel and I wanted to experience an American diner on my holiday. Staff was very friendly and service was quick. Had waffles, eggs and chicken wings which were all very tasty.

I've been going to Pann's for years. Their menu has changed, items added. Their food is still good and reasonably priced, and the service is good as well? They now have Sunday champagne brunch.

Pann's opened in 1958 and has been serving good food at fair prices every since. Reminiscent of the 'good old days' this is what a diner used to look like. The portions are huge, the staff is friendly and parking is free. NOTE... If you saw the movie "Pulp Fiction", the scene where John Travolta and Samuel Jackson were have lunch and a young couple broke in and tried to rob everyone... This (and a lot of other TV and movie scenes) is where it was filmed.

While in LA on business, visited Pann's three times -- twice for breakfast, once for dinner. Each time the meals were very good. In the morning, the waffles were always perfect. In the evening (a Friday), the seafood bouillabaisse daily special was ample and delicious. (The waitress said people come just for the BB on Fridays -- and I believe it!). The chocolate milkshake (which comes with its metal shaker containing the second helping) was a tasty indulgence. The waitstaff was always friendly and helpful, morning or evening. There was never a seating wait for breakfast (I tended to get there about 7:30am), while dinnertime might entail a short wait, if one wants a booth rather than a seat at the counter. Waffles, eggs and orange juice ran about $14. Dinner, with bouillabaisee, salad, iced tea, and chocolate shake came to about $27. There are also logo'ed coffee mugs and T-shirts for sale at the front. The classic heavy beige mugs are a winner in my book, and not at all expensive at approx. $8 plus tax. The late-1950s interior design and decor is of course a treat to see -- a real blast from the past. Toward the back, check out the big illuminated photo of the diner's interior from many decards ago. Then out in the parking lot see (carefully) the mural it inspired on the eastern exterior wall. The mural must be pretty new, since a look at Google Streetview still shows just a blank wall there.

While visiting LA, I wanted some southern style breakfasts, grits, eggs, bacon, and added a waffle in there too! Pann’s did not disappoint. Grits were really good (especially with the cheese added). Bacon was crispy like I like it. Eggs scrambled just how I would do them. BUT the waffle! Most places usually waffles are hit or miss. Sometimes too soggy, sometimes too dry. Their waffle was really good. I honestly wish I had gotten more than just a half serving. I know sweet tea is very popular in the south. I typically don’t seek it when I leave home, but my friend decided to ask the waitress (who was beyond nice) if they sold sweet tea. SHE SAID YES! We just wanted a sample, just in case I didn’t like it. She brought over a shot glass size and OH MY, it was shockingly really good. Actually, much better than many places I’ve been to in the south. This will now be my breakfast go-to place when I visit LA from now on!

I was driving on my way home from Malibu and was really hungry so I thought I'd drop by here and grab a bite to eat. I love the Googie/Space Age architecture and it just has that retro old school vibe that I find very appealing (seeing as how it's an actual old school diner from 1958). Breakfast is served all day but I went for the chicken fingers and fries, which is a very large serving that I wasn't able to eat all in one sitting but I was able to get a box for it along with cups for my drink and the rest of my side sauces (buffalo and ranch). The food is really good and the service is excellent! Can't go wrong with this classic diner!

Busy little place with friendly staff and good food. Be prepared for a wait on Sunday mornings. Parking is a little difficult but always room on the street

If you like good food, famous movies, mid-century design, bottomless bloody marys, and super friendly staff......then go to Pann's

I travel to & from LA often, but I've never been to Pann's until today, partly because of its odd hours. Today, my son and I enjoyed a great breakfast there. I had traditional sausage, eggs, potatoes & coffee. He had the chicken & waffles. We both loved every bite, and the counter service was superb and friendly. Don't miss!

The atmosphere was pretty festive on my second visit to the iconic diner. Lot's of hipsters waiting for up to 40 minutes to get in! The greeter was lovely as was the waitress that promptly delivered our breakfast order. No substitutions are allowed, which is kind of a bummer fro vegetarians. Otherwise, food and service was good.

This was my first stop in town because I love the 50s era architecture. I had to wait because it was lunchtime, but the vibe was fun and the food was worth waiting for. I ordered the fried chicken, which was good. The homemade biscuit was heavenly. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. I would return!

Whoa, this place is a total throw-back to a MUCH better time! Service is excellent, food choices are beyond plentiful and expertly prepared. You won't be the only one trying to get seat here on the weekend so give yourself some time and ENJOY!

Went to Panns with my wife for breakfast yesterday after reading so many good reviews. It was just okay, not great. And, for $30 for two meals, it should have been a lot better. Admittedly, we had only basic egg breakfasts, but I still expected more from this restaurant. The eggs were cooked okay, the hash browns were neither cold nor greasy, and the sausage and bacon were good but not great. Coffee was okay but no better than average. Maybe the best part was the bisquit, which was obviously fresh baked and pretty darn good. All in all, a remarkably average breakfast for $30. Not a bad meal, just an average one.

We found this place close to our hotel , staff is very friendly and accommodating , very attentive service , food is excellent and very reasonable . Loved this place.

Really interesting and nice to be in a place like this, it seems to be in the 50s but the food is not special at all and it is not cheap at all! Quite expensive for what it is! Very nice the place!

First off, the architecture, signage & condition of this "Googie" style diner is worth the visit alone. Add to that, friendly & attentive service, and delicious food (had the best damn Tuna Melt I've ever had). We ate there three times in our first visit to the area. When we went there for breakfast, we met the owner who made time to speak with us and tell us about the history of the place & his family's path to starting this business. We'll be back again for sure!!!

I needed a breakfast joint near LAX before catching a flight back home. I had intended to go to Roscoes Chicken and Waffles, but inexplicably it doesn't open for breakfast til 8am. Really? So, jonesing for my first chicken and waffles experience, I turned to TripAdvisor, and as usual they sent me to Panns. They open at 7am (still a little late by East Coast standards), and boy did they deliver! I had a waffle, 2 eggs, and 3 wings. It was good and fresh, but the combo didnt blow me away, and i was still a little hungry. So I ordered an order of biscuit and gravy. Down south that would be a full plate. But at Panns it came in a small dish that looked like a scoop of cottage cheese. But what a flavor! The biscuit was wonderful, and the gravy had a hint of chicken stock in the flavor that made it perfection. Great job guys. Cant wait to come back again.

Was to be the start of a nice getaway for my husband and I , drove from San Diego. I ordered the Chicken Dinner, he got the Fish and Chips. Asked waitress if chicken was fresh, was not our orders came out in 5 minutes soggy far from fresh. $45.00! Total rip off! NORMS ON LA CIENIGA we will never go else where!

I had driven by so many times in the past and never stopped! I would recommend a visit there atleast once. We sat at the counter. The service was great. The chef recommended the fried chicken since I had never been there before. It was delicious. The portions were large with great side dishes. It's worth a stop if you never ate on the plane. Who does anymore?

I arrived right when they opened. The server was very friendly and attentive. The inside of the place has a really cool, unique feel. Maybe a little outdated, but that added to the ambiance. I didn't mind. I ordered pancakes with egg whites and bacon. The pancakes were delicious! (Although they didn't have chocolate chips which bummed me out). The bacon was good, you can't really screw that up. The eggs were ok. They were cooked thoroughly but seemed a little watery. The whole meal was $12.95. A little pricey for breakfast, but didn't bother me too much.

Loved this place, retro but very clean. The food was fantastic, especially the chicken and waffles! The chicken was seasoned perfectly and was juicy and served fresh and hot. Also ordered the omelette, biscuits and gravy! Great selection on their menu....something for everyone.

This is a place you will recognize if you watch many Hollywood films. Not to rely on their fame however, this restaurant is out to earn its reputation! The food here is fantastic. The service was great, and the meals reasonably priced. This is home cooking at its finest! I highly recommend the pancakes and Belgium waffles!

What a place!!! Straight out of 1958!! The best place to eat in SoCal architecture "googi" classic. Always busy! They have filmed movies and TV there. The breakfast menu is huge and full of classics! You will leave full!

We were in LA for 9 days to celebrate my birthday. Came to Pann’s on our first morning for breakfast, returned on my birthday, and the day we flew home too. The service was outstanding, the staff were, friendly, helpful and attentive. The food came quickly, and tasted good. Empty plates each time. Little bit pricey but it was enjoyable and tasty which was why we were happy to return. Definitely recommend if in LA.

Great stop before going to LAX...We had this wonderful breakfast, eggs, ham sausage and their delicious biscuit. My husband had also their coutry potatoes and they were also so delicious :P

The place has been open for quite a while and has a very cool 60's decor. They specialize in breakfast; which they serve all day. I ordered a BLT that was delicious. I recommend this place.

It's a classic 50s cafeteria, they serve huge portions and the service is fast and friendly, the taste of the food is okay but it has changed compared to previous visits.

This is such a gorgeous old diner with a lot of the original fittings and decor. We first went more just to see the place whilst grabbing some lunch, but we returned because it was t just a kitsch place to eat, but also has great, old fashioned friendly service and similar old school food. We had a different waitress this time & she was also delightful - like you hope for from a friendly, efficient, cheerful diner waitress who has clearly worked there for years, knew her stuff and wanted us to enjoy our visit. We again loved the HUGE shakes, the onion rings and the sandwiches. The only diasappointment for me were the two sides that I selected: grits and creamed spinach. Both really, really needed seasoning as they were bland. Other than that, everything we chose was once again delicious, flavoursome and in huge portions. The prices are fair for the food that you get, but not really inexpensive. For a family of 5, who arrived ravenous and left stuffed silly, I believe it cost about $80, which is pretty good value.

My best friend an I stayed up in LA for the night an decided to hit a lesser known landmark in film history. We drug my wife and daughter along for the ride. Pann's is the location of the iconic coffee shop robbery scene from Academy Award Winning Pulp Fiction. If you know the movie well enough, you can see the scene play out in your head...right before you. I did not know that there would be a wait. It is a very popular spot for regulars to eat. We waited for about 25 min on a Sunday afternoon... pretty much the after church crowd. I had to park across the street in the grocery store parking lot. This spot is on the LA Historic registry and has won many awards for their keeping with the nostalgia of the 50's style diner aesthetics. The portions were large and the food was great. They serve breakfast all day. It is mostly comfort foods and the prices are very reasonable. I had the club... It was awesome. My daughter had a waffle. My wife the big breakfast. My best friend had the Pulled Pork BBQ Sandwich. Not one complaint. Our glasses of beverage were never less that 1/4 full before the buss boy had refilled them without prompting. I RECOMMEND YOU GO HERE!!!! SOOO GOOD!!!

Four of us had a late breakfast/early lunch. Food was fine and the service was quick. The bread products (muffin, biscuit, etc.) were outstanding and our two breakfast's (chicken & waffles) and (International omelette) The ribs and biscuit were good but a bit pricey for a diner. We like diners and were comfortable here although we think Norm's gives better value for your money.

The food here is always good and the service is always on point. This place has been here for a long time and the owner had always kept it at the highest standards. A family can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner here and get great food without breaking the bank.

A great place frozen in time. This is a good thing though. If you want to see and experience an authentic 50s diner this is the place to go. Great service, very friendly and accommodating staff and the diner fare never fails to hit the spot.

Since last in LA four years ago, I had looked forward to one day returning to town and once again having breakfast at Pann's. Happily, this happened a few weeks ago, and I was very pleased to find that breakfast there was as good as I remembered it. The Belgian waffles are still perfect, the decor still late-1950s (the back of menu says it was built in 1958), and the service as good as ever. Though it required a cab ride to get there from the hotel, our party quickly decided we much preferred breaking our fast each day at Pann's, rather than at our hotel's own (overpriced) breakfast buffet. On another day, as I suspect many people do, we came by later around noontime to try their lunch, before heading to LAX to catch a flight out. The burgers were classic and good; though, sadly, we didn't have the time to try their dessert milkshakes. Maybe next time. . . Overall, our multiple visits validated my consideration of Pann's as my go-to place for starting the day when in the LAX area. And they still offer logo'ed coffee mugs for sale! One big change since last time: the resaturant now serves only breakfast and lunch, having stopped doing dinner a couple of years ago.

Like Norm's and Dinah's, Pann's is one of the very few 1950s style diners left in Los Angeles. The waitresses and service is great. The food is comfort/soul food with Mexican and American thrown in. Perfectly reasonable diner food but go for the experience of the 1950s throwback.

We were visiting LA for a week and just happened to pass by the Great American Classic Restaurant. We stopped for lunch. The decor is Retro All American with seating at the counter, classic old style booth dining, and old time music. They have been serving food since I believe 1958. It is a family owned restaurant. The atmosphere is great; the food was fair and the prices are fair. The Dreamburger and Fries was a hit with my husband and the tuna melt was nothing fancy but quite tasty. Edgar B was a great waiter and he knew this area of LA very well. He gave great service even though he was very busy. He made you feel like you were his only customer. Many people were ordering breakfast and those plates looked great as well. The place is small. There is an sun-room type dining area, but we were able to get a classic booth with out having to wait. If you have to use the rest room, it could use quite a bit of updating and it could be much cleaner too. I was a little disappointed in the appearance of the ladies room. I will definitely go back for the food, the classic music and the atmosphere.

My sister has to go to Pann’s whenever she comes home to visit (she lives out of state). It is a throwback vintage family owned restaurant. Red booths, servers, home-cooking type dishes on the menu. It is frequented by young and old. I had breakfast: 1/2 -Belgium waffle, eggs, & fried chicken wings but there are other choices you could substitute such as hash browns, fruit etc. It is more expensive than a big chain restaurant. My meal was about $11 but it is one of a kind. It is a great environment with nice people. Pann’s restaurant is a part of the history of Los Angeles.

A classic cafe with great decoration, staff, food and atmosphere. A wonderful place for brunch on the weekends. Big groups may have a short wait, we got seated immediately. Love this place

Pann's remains one of the best neighborhood chino ices for breakfast, lunch, dinner. The food selections are great with a variety of selections for everyone in the family.

Couldn't recommend them highly enough. We ate there for breakfast and it didn't disappoint! We will be back for another few meals before our holiday ends !!

Food is very delicious and atmosphere is very much like home. Service is excellent. The price is very reasonable and affordable. Serving is good for two people

I had the brisket w/ what was supposed to be mac n cheese. The brisket was tender, but the mac n cheese was straight out of a box, very runny. :( I was totally disappointed. The cranberry champagne spritzers made up for it. I wouldn't eat here again.

My family and I ate at the restaurant during the weekday during a late afternoon. We were immediately seated, and staff took and delivered our drink order right away. Everyone at the table ordered different items, such as fried zucchini, a breakfast dish and a sandwich plate. We requested onion rings and were advised they were not available, which was disappointing. The portions were generous, and everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. I ordered only the fried zucchini and felt there was nothing to write home about. The restaurant is located in a busy area, so be careful when entering and exiting the parking lot. The décor is dated and boring. Food was average but I expected more.

Always passed by this place and never stopped. Moved into the neighborhood and there is no reason to not go and try it out. Love the iconic coffee shop style of the joint and walk inside & you see patrons enjoying their food, the hustle & bustle of the staff & the smiling face of the person taking your name down for a table. It's all good! Having a special needs son, being out can have it's challenges. Each time we've been in, they always make sure he's comfortable & enjoying his eating experience. So family- friendly oh yeah no worries there. Fried chicken with waffles, chili omelet (my daughter's fave) & burgers - haven't been disappointed yet!! Bottomless mimosas & tasty bloody marys.

The Pann Bistrot in Torre del Greco is fantastic. Beautiful food very friendly set of 2 x 2brothets. So interested in tourists, their croissant con crema, focaccia and bread is the highest quality. Also superb coffee and anything else you want! Open all day from 9am to 1am on the morning. You can get breakfast lunch and drinks in the evening. No closing during siesta! Great owners who are very sympatico. Highly recommended.

Second time for me here, and was not disappointed again. Great food, friendly staff and nice music. I would go back again when i'm in town. I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken wings were delicious!

Been coming to LA for years, never had a chance to go into Pann's........decided to do brunch to celebrate a bday this past Sunday, WOW, DELISH! The food was great, bloody Mary's and Mimosa's were awesome!! The servers kept them coming. Service was good a 20-30 minute wait but was expected since there's always a crowd. Will definitely be back. We had the fried catfish, country fried steak, collards, fresh mashed potatoes and pineapple slaw with the apple and peach cobbler and tapioca pudding for dessert. The perfect outing, then it was nap time. : )

What a great place, don't think it's been remodeled since it opened and that's okay. Such friendly staff and food was delicious.

This is one of those restaurants that not only the locals support but one that most people who have heard about it support also. This restaurant has been around for a considerably long time and specializes in breakfast. There is usually not many variations that you can do to breakfast; most people usually order pancakes, eggs, omelettes, etc.; Pann's is no different. However, you can usually get a variety of meat with your eggs and pancakes, for instance they run the gamut between fried chicken, hot links, country fried steak to the usual sausage bacon and ham just to name a few. Of course they have waffles, sandwiches, shakes, and a variety of drinks. Although located in the middle of a residential area basically, it is not hard to navigate your way there. It is definitely not a place that you would just hop off the freeway to eat and hop back on the freeway to continue your way. It is definitely a place for you to leave the freeway and drive to. We have never had a bad experience at this restaurant. It is moderately priced and definitely not a four-star restaurant but the quality of the food and service is above your average quick Diner.

Opened in Westchester by George and Rena Poulos in 1958 Pann’s is likely more famous for the architecture, signage and role in movies than the food – though the latter is perfectly adequate for a Diner while prices are fair for what one gets. A rare remnant of Eldon Davis’ Googie design, sharp angles with large windows looking out to a parking lot plus surroundings, guests are seated in booths or at a bar surrounding the kitchen where line cooks operate efficiently as music plays overhead. Decorated with photos of Vin Diesel, Pann’s part of xXx as well as other feature films, the menu is fairly basic ranging from Breakfast to lunch and with no Dessert available the choice of a Waffle, Pork Chop, Grits and a Biscuit was fairly simple with each properly made while Coffee is so acrid that one doesn’t mind the lack of timely refills.

We came here for dinner while attending CatConLA. The atmosphere was really cool, old school, but the food... well, left a lot to be desired. Rather like cafeteria food.

Friendly and excellent customer service with a nice smile. I was also impressed with their great food. I would definitely go here again!

I lived in Southern California for 7 years and unfortunately I didn't learn about Pann's until after I moved away, though I make a point of eating there every time I am back for a visit. The architecture is a nostalgic throwback to the past, the service is personal and the food is as tasty as the food I make at home. If you can get there on a Friday, I highly recommend the BBQ brisket. If there on another day, you can't go wrong with other choices from the menu. Among my favorites are the fried chicken and coleslaw, but I've never had anything less than delicious there!

We headed to Pann's for brunch and we weren't disappointed. This is a classic LA diner, which booths and sitting at the counter. Between us we had the hash browns, fried chicken and waffles and southern fried pork chops, amongst other things. Everything was very tasty and the service was friendly. If you are in the area definitely check out this place.

Pann's is one of the older diners in the La Tijera area. It is really good. The menu is large and they serve Breakfast, lunch and dinner. We love their Breakfast. They have great pancakes and biscuits and gravy. If you want healthy, go elsewhere. This is wonderful fattening food with butter and more butter. For dinner their fried chicken is great and have mashed potatoes. Yum. It is busy, but you will get taken care of with a smile and you won't have to wait long. This is not fine dinning. It is a diner and an old one. You will love it.

We were visiting Los Angeles and were hungry while heading back from the beach. We took a chance and took a random exit to find dinner. We had originally settled on the TGIFridays across the street, but we were deterred by a long wait. Speaking with the security guard, he recommended a local mom and pop right across the street. The place is a 50s style diner. Its not the most lovely place, and parking is a chore, but we took the chance. As my review is titled, it was a pleasant surprise. My group decided to go the dinner route instead of breakfast. The service wasn't the quickest, but our food was fantastic. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. The wings, pork chops, and burgers along with the mashed potatoes were most talked about. We enjoyed this visit and would come back again. If only the service were a little more prompt, bathrooms cleaner, and they had an improved ability to deal with large groups they would have received a 5 star rating.

Went at noon on a Sunday and it was packed. Got a table very quick. Very loud and busy. Good portions and my salad was excellent.

Great eating outdoors in large patio area. Ordered the fried chicken with eggs and grits. It was delicious. Great great service!

Saturday morning breakfast at Pann’s in LA. It is a typical dinner as you see in Movies. Personell is super relaxed and Nice. Food is great. What a fantastic start of the Day!

Was recently flying out of LAX and a friend said lets do Pann's fried chicken. No familiar said sure. Love good fried chicken. Looked at some of the reviews and it seemed like it was a good choice. The diner is like stepping into the past. Service also was great. Unfortunately I did not get the same fuzzy feeling for the fried chicken. The food came out hot. Cannot remember the last time fried chicken was steaming when you peel back the skin. The skin was nice and crispy. Collard greens had nice flavor. But the chicken seemed to lack any seasoning of any kind. It was bland and was in dyer need of salt. Definitely worth a return visit based on all the food I saw just not for chicken. :(

This classic coffee shop and diner celebrates its 60th year in business in 2018, and over the decades, it's earned its place among LA's great breakfast spots. Owned by the Panagopoulos family since the beginning, Pann's is in many ways quintessential of the American experience. Founders George and Reno were California immigrants; George came from Greece and served in the US Army as a cook before settling down and starting his own place; Rena waited tables and became a fixture for decades before passing on in 2017 at the age of 100. It's that kind of legacy you experience when you come into this place. It's the kind of community-focused restaurant that is all-too-rare these days, but all the more valuable to keep around and enjoy. Pann's serves tasty breakfast and lunch standards; the restaurant lives up to its moniker of "just wonderful food", with the waffles and omelets particularly noteworthy. But just as appealing as the meal itself is its classic style. The Googie architecture and charming interior are a real draw, and make the experience of a meal here not just a trip back in time, but to an aesthetic that never goes out of date. Designed by influential local architects Eldon Davis and Helen Liu Fong, the Pann's building is just as stylish and fun now as it was 60 years ago. Whether you come here to relive the past or just enjoy a good meal in classic surroundings, Pann's is well worth a visit.

Sunday brunch/breakfast is divine, but please be prepared to wait (read: fight) for a parking space. It is an unbelievable steady flow of cars coming into this extremely tiny parking lot. It can be a very frustrating experience, but I must say, if you stick it out, it is worth it. The food is stupid good.

I like this Diner very much! I was served by a warm smiling lady with very good service. I ordered 4 wings with onion rings & salad. The fried wings are very crispy but soft & juicy inside. The taste is excellent! The price is reasonable and I will definitely come back during next trip!

Came here on the way home from LAX for early dinner! I got waffle and wings, hubby and daughter got fried chicken dinner, som for a sandwich. No room for disappointment here. Fried chicken is phenomenal, as are the waffles, collard greens, Mac 'n cheese. Crispy fried chicken. As one of the cooks said, "none of that gluten free, fat free stuff!" This is an old fashioned coffee shop.

I make sure to stop at Pann's whenever I am in Los Angeles. They have the best fried chicken I have found anywhere. With a side of mashed potatoes and a biscuit, it always puts a smile on my face. The atmosphere is classic diner, and I love all the original touches that the management has preserved. The servers are generally friendly and the prices are very reasonable.

This is one of those diners that is kind of noisy, frequently crowded, and just overall fun to eat at. The food is delicious and plentiful (oh, those burgers...), the coffee keeps flowing, the hostesses and wait staff are all so very friendly and on the spot with service, the prices fair... We ate at the counter because it was crowded but enjoyed every minute of it. You'll recognize this well-maintained diner from the movies as several have been filmed there. Wonderful place to eat!

Have driven by Pann's for years (40+) and had to stop for an omelette and chicken wings and waffles! Wings were fried just right, not to greasy, and just moist enough with an perfect waffle. The Louisiana Omellete with full of mushrooms and sausage and after adding Tabasco, just spicy enough!

Excellent place to visit and see where pulp fiction was filmed. Server was 3/5. Food was excellent. I do recommend.

We went to this lovely googie styled restaurant after reading a great review... When we entered, the staff were just so welcoming and friendly and although we had to wait, it was a busy time and they are popular. Once seated, we ordered a wide choice of items like the omelet special (with crayfish and shrimp), biscuits and gray, pancakes, different types of sausage and more...we wanted to try everything but it was impossible! It was all so delicious, I wished it could have lasted forever and the service was fantastic - our bloody mary and mimosa were constantly being refilled as was our coffee, and always with a genuine smile. What a great place that I hope to go to again.

We were visiting our daughter in LA and drove past this place several times. I kept thinking it was the diner where the robbery took place in Pulp Fiction so on Sunday morning we stopped there so breakfast around 11 am, Waited about 30 minuted but well worth it. Turns out the restaurant is the same owner as the one in Pulp Fiction and is identical to the one on the movie (which was demolished several years ago). Anyway, great food and big portions and the staff was terrific. I am so glad we stopped!

Just landed early AM with a major jet lag, craving for a decent dinner served around 9am... Great place! The kids menu is great. Burger was ok. Nuggets were good. Fair 7$ pricing. Picked the one from their specialties - scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and spring onions, accompanied with Hash Brown and biscuit - loved it. Simple & delicious. Bottom line - great (also good looking) diner with an excellent service. What a way to kick off a family vacation!

Roscoes who? Located off La Tijera and La Cienega is this busy diner. We came on a rainy Sunday afternoon around 1:45pm, thinking we missed the lunch crowd. We had to circle twice to grab a parking spot. There was a wait when we walked in, and 6 parties ahead of us on the list. Fortunately the counter was first come, and we snagged 2 seats. Our server was friendly and patient with us, as it was our first visit. I ordered the waffle with 4 wings, Stephen ordered the chicken plate: breast and wing with Mac n cheese and collard greens. We were told about a 15 minute wait, but apparently they were on the ball and it took probably 5 minutes (if even that) for our food. The chicken was piping hot and my syrup nice and warm. While I am still a HUGE fan of The 'Scoes, I'm giving this place a thumbs up! Here's why: First, at Pann's you can mix/match the sides and, the prices are cheaper than Roscoes. Second, the waffle at Pann's is Belgian style, fluffy and thick. The one at Roscoe's is a normal, thin waffle. Both tasty, so it depends on the type of waffle you prefer. Parking at Pann's is limited to a small lot, with the capacity of 30 cars or so. I guess you can park at the shopping center across the street, although La Tijera is a very busy street. You don't have to be a fan of fried chicken to dine here. They have many other things, including daily specials and barbecue on weekends.

This restaurant has been around for decades. It has the fifties look on the exterior and the interior is spotless. Staff are all friendly and efficient. Waffle and wings are GREAT!

Pann's is a famed diner near the Los Angeles airport, and after my family and I arrived in LAX following our redeye flight, we thought it would be a great place to start our trip at and decided to eat breakfast here. Upon entering, we were brought to a section of the restaurant that was roped off before we arrived and needed a place to sit( because the rest of restaurant was full). We were seated near an off-duty employee who was eating and watching something on his phone loud enough to be audible to us. While not necessarily a major problem, this struck me as unprofessional. Our waiter was generally nice, but seemed stressed. As for the food, it was pretty standard American morning fare. I did not feel as if the quality was worth the $10-$15 price tag put on a full-sized meal, except maybe the chicken, which was probably my favorite aspect of eating here. Overall, though, I do not recommend Pann's.

As a huge Pulp Fiction fan, when I heard Pann's Restaurant was just a 5 minute walk from my AirBNB I had to go try it. Our server was very friendly and professional, the portion was huge and tasty for the price, and over-all the environment was second to none. Would definitely visit again and recommend to my friends.

Been around longer than I've been in LA! Good food with very attentive wait help. A little on the expensive side for people with a budget but I splurge every now and then because the wings are so good! They do have specials for the budget conscious.

I always stop by Pann's and grab a quick snack when ever I am in the Airport area! The food is "nifty fifty's" with the back ground music to put you in the mood! I like their burgers and their strawberry shakes, they are wonderful! The wait staff is right there to take your order as soon as you are ready. They have a varied short order menu that changes daily. And if you have room, try their home made baked goods!!

Pann’s is an old time (est. 1958) diner with an excellent selection of breakfast and lunch options. I had the Fajita omelet and also tried the chicken wings. Both choices were excellent! Our waitress was also very attentive and friendly as well. This is a great place!

We thought we would try this restaurant as it is not in the 'normal' guides. The Greek chicken and salad, potato salad, Blackened Catfish, collared greens were spectacular. We took home Peach and Apple Cobbler which was perfect. Wines were not extensive but enough to choose from. Give it a try.

Pann's is a good place to eat, and is family friendly. Service is excellent and the food tastes great. It's centrally located and can be found between LaCienega and LaTijera Blvd.

Fried chicken first night- very good! Second night (just now)- blackened catfish - excellent! Mashed potatoes are just like I make them at home, not smooth but chunky - yum. Herb rice very tasty. I recommend Pann's!

After returning from an exhausting vacation, my family and I were anxious for some good American breakfast. OMG, we found PANN'S at 6710 La Tijera Blvd. In Los Angeles. Best Breakfast ever. The waffles and chicken wings are a must. The kids had eggs and sausage....ham and eggs and French bread. Everything was amazing...

The famous diner from the opening and closing scenes from Pulp Fiction is the real deal. The food is tasty and the service prompt. Have a plate of eggs, butter milk pancakes with fried chicken- yum!!!! Sit, enjoy and make sure your wallet says " Bad Mother F$&@ker"!!!

So I read some good reviews about this restaurant and it was like 10 minutes away from where I was staying so seemed very convenient. The place is very vintage, the staff were so friendly and the food was good. I had eggs and hash browns and they were good but very average. The waffle was a little above average.

My wife and I used to live in Ladera Heights and are familiar with Pann's. Now that we've moved away from the area, we are a bit nostalgic for many of the local spots we used to frequent like Pann's, Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles, Johnnies Pastrami & Tito's Tacos! This particular morning, I missed my flight out of LAX due to what else? Los Angeles freeway traffic! After adjusting my flight, we had a lot of time on our hands and dropped into Pann's for breakfast. Someone said once that you can never go home again, but they were wrong! We ordered the pancakes and eggs as well as a spinach omelette with grits. Man! Both dishes were to die for and I was so full, that I didn't eat anything on my 5-hour flight! Also, enjoyed the 50's, 60's & 70's music playing in the background. It's one way to work off the calories while you eat! The service was very attentive, and we left the restaurant satisfied that Pann's is a place we can come back to and instantly feel comfortable and at home, just like grandma's kitchen!

I would normally give this 2 stars because of the value. The breakfast items are very overpriced coming to about $40 for two. Quality is good as was service.

I saw a review for Pann's that said the hash browns melted in their mouth. I didn't think they melted in my mouth but they were above average. They were so above average, we went again the next day. I don't splurge on milkshakes very often but I did on my first and second visit. It was good. The biscuits were good. My husband got the fried chicken and said that it was good. The service was stellar. They took our drink orders then our food orders right away. The food was promptly delivered. The first day we went was a Sunday. We're early risers and were there when the doors opened. We were 3rd in line. The restaurant quickly filled up while we were there. We went again on Monday. We were 3rd in line again. The place did not fill up. I'm just saying for fewer people a weekday might be better.

Pann's has been around since the late 1950's and still has that 50's décor and menu and vibe. It was feature in Pulp Fiction. Red leather booths, large counter service, etc. The place was buzzing on a Sunday morning. We had dropped our children off at LAX so decided to pop in for breakfast. We sat at the counter (thank you Brenda for excellent service and your sense of humor) Food was excellent, they serve a delicious chicken and waffles and their biscuits were great. Line out the door.

I pulled in on a very busy, line out the door, Sunday. The diner was jammed packed but I was able to get a fast seat at the counter. Service was outstanding, my coffee was filled multiple times. I ordered chicken and waffles which was hands down the best that I have had. Crisp tall waffle, fabulously tasty fried chicken, served with a portion of syrup and clarified butter. Everything smelled and tasted great.

Pann's is great!! It has a neighborhood "50s diner" atmosphere. There are so few restaurants like this left: fun, friendly and darn good food. Pann's has an extensive menu: everything from waffles and fried chicken, to homemade soup! They have a delicious, charbroiled ground beef platter that's enormous; complete with mushrooms and friend onion rings - definitely enough for two! Pann's also serves champagne brunch on the weekends! And, did I mention: the servers are fantastic. It doesn't get any better than this!

My husband and I were in LA for a few days and we ate lunch here after getting out of LAX. I ordered the chicken triple decker on sourdough with onion rings. My husband ordered the Denver omelette with white toast and hash browns. The chicken breast could have been thinner. It was good, just too thick. Onion rings were breaded not battered, but good and large. My husband said the omelette was good and fresh bread was used for the toast. The hash browns had no flavor. I thought the menu would have been bigger since it was a diner. But then, I lived in NJ for 16 years, where the diner menus are enormous. The service was prompt and friendly.

My favorite breakfast spot near the airport and always on my list of places to visit when I’m in town. Fried chicken and waffles. While not healthy, anyone visiting this side of L.A. needs to stop by for the friend chicken and waffles breakfast. I am not even a fan of waffles, but they just seem to really go together at Pann’s. Husband was the only one not participating in the fried food fiesta, but his Denver omelet was out of this world. The service is quick, the coffee is hot, mimosas are not bad, and the prices are fair. Small facilities (single-stall), so if you’re bringing the family, keep that in mind when being seated, especially if you are traveling with young children. You will see all types of diners at Pann’s, which is a testament to the menu and the staff.

We didn't go here until our last night and it was worth the stop. Several people recommended it and we were glad we went by. This was across the street from our hotel so very easy to get to. You definitely get a lot of food. It was pretty busy with locals and we were glad to share the experience with them.

Love this place, you are always made to feel welcomed - from their chicken & waffles to great sandwiches, breakfast and lunch - all the patrons and employees are happy to be there. A Los Angeles institution.

If you are in the area, it is worth the trip. Evan if you do not have a car, it is on the Metro #110 and #217 and one or two other routes go right by it. A 50's or 60's style diner (expanded) with an extensive menu and very reasonable prices. Not a fancy white tablecloth type place. Place was very clean and not noisy. Food was great and portions were VERY LARGE. It was obvious that a lot of locals eat there on a regular basis. We ate there three nights in a row. Definitely would go back anytime I am in the area

My favourite spot in LA. Great food and excellent service all served in an amazing restaurant pulp fiction style.

I've become a regular at Pann's. After driving by for years, I stopped in, and found it to be an excellent short-order cook diner. We eat at the counter; there is frequently a line for a table or booth. Service is great, and food is great, and prices are right. We especially like the bottomless Bloody Mary's and Mimosas.

The servers are super efficient (and some are actually pretty nice), the crowds are diverse, the menu is expansive, the counter is always hoppin', and the decor is mid century almost-modern. This is what makes Pann's a classic LA diner. It's nearly impossible to try everything on the huge menu, but there are gems. Try the wings & waffles--- perfect. I'd guess anything fried is good here. Corned beef hash is housemade and very good, and the sandwiches deliver. Downsides: the location, basically an island in a busy intersection, can be tricky. Parking is plentiful but can still be packed, and the place looks larger than it is so the wait can be long--- if so, check out the counter.

We’d never have thought that we’d find such a Diner on the way to the airport. Awesome, the food, the employees, the guests, multi cultural and pure positive vibs. We loved it!

Looking for breakfast near LAX. This may be the place you want. Excellent food and plentiful portions. Menu even has a little southern flare with grits or chicken and waffles. We had five meals and five happy people.

The place is very classic Americana, great oldies soundtrack and good food. We had typical pancakes/waffles, eggs and sausages, plus the best root beer floats we've ever had. Wonderful service with super friendly people. Very reminiscent of a certain Pulp Fiction scene..

The vibe of this place is just so friendly. It's crowded (because it's so very popular), noisy - if you can get a seat out on the patio, it helps if you want to have a conversation with your table-mates. The food is classic diner, the burgers delicious, pancakes perfect, service spot on. The hostess at the front, Joyce, is always smiling and such a warm loving spirit. The owner is almost always there to hold the door open for the guests and staff or to wander talking to the guests. Parking is tricky because the place is almost always full but you can park across the street in the shopping lot. Really really good!

Came here based on trip advisor reviews. The restaurant itself is memorable in design, and the food is Excellent! The waffles are a must, served with melted butter and syrup! The coffee was delicious as well! Attentive service and reasonable prices makes this a must! We will definitely come back!

Best food, best service ever!!! I recommend the International Omelette and the unlimited mimosa for $7.99

Yes the same restaurant from movie Pulp Fiction. The eggs come out over easy not dried out, the potatoes & onions just prefect. it does not matter pancakes or waffles, they are made just right. Panns is not inexpensive, but good food and excellently service are always worth the money. It was a pleasure eating here today. this is a must try restaurant. if your in LA stop by.

If you want a time capsule diner experience, this is the place. It looks straight out of the early Sixties but the diner comfort food is so very tasty. The staff warm and friendly-even though it was really busy when we visited.

Was headed to LAX after a day of business in LA and, very hungry, decided to pull into Pann's, tempted by its vintage exterior. I figured it was a good sign that the parking lot was packed. They actually had a wait but since I was eating solo, I headed to the long bar. This is a great place for a solo meal. I was greeted instantly and offered something to drink. The menu was a classic diner menu--a very large variety of offerings with a focus on classic American fare. Huge number of breakfast options, but it being the dinner hour I opted for an open-faced turkey sandwich and side salad. The salad was great--nothing fancy, but crisp and fresh. The turkey sandwich was what you'd hope for--carved turkey, not too dry, smothered in flavorful gravy with mashed potatoes that had the right amount of lumpyness. Retro goodness and very affordable...would definitely recommend if you're in the mood for a classic American meal. Was pleased to see that the space was really well-maintained and that the staff seemed to have pride in the place.

My family ate here a couple times each month when I was a kid (1960s and '70s) and I always loved the breakfasts the most. I've been back several times in recent years, and it's still mostly the same. I believe the same family still owns it. That's great. This is a restaurant that doesn't have to pretend to be old school and cool. It is authentically so. The menu is what you'd expect from a family diner, but better than most, actually. On weekends, especially for breakfast/brunch, there's always a lengthy wait, so you'd do better to go on off-peak hours. Or, perhaps wedge your way onto a counter stool. Prices are moderate, and the quality & quantity of food is good. But I mostly go for the memories. Pann's is located on a very busy three-way intersection, and the parking lot is small, so you might have to circle the block to find a space...or simply park at the big shopping center across the street.

We've been in the states for a week and we've visited several diners, and this one is by far the best we've been to! The shakes are thick & you get the big metal cup that gives you a whole other shake; the onion rings are huge and crunchy; the burgers have delicious beef and fresh salad; and the sandwiches are that fabulous balance of taste and being not too unhealthy. Top that off with the cute kitsch, original decor and the very friendly staff & you have the recipe for a wonderful dinner. The waitress even took some great photos of our family with the Christmas decorations. This is probably the one diner other than Philippe the Original we've tried that we'll certainly go back to.

Wanted to experience this diner as it was built in the 1950's. Wanted a diner breakfast. Went on a Sunday morning. It is a neighborhood diner with the neighborhood clientele. So, that said, the service was darn good! From the hostess, to the person who took the order for our drinks and then food, the servers and they checked on us frequently to make sure we were satisfied. We ordered off the menu. I had a basic ham and cheese omlette with a side of grits and toast. Ample servings and I was very satisfied. The place runs like a machine - did a lot of people watching and watching everyone work. The employees seemed happy and worked hard and together. Even the cooks!

As of August 1st (2016) this local icon will no longer serve dinner. Despite the cut in hours, Panns kept all the employees and gave them daytime shifts. Panns is known for their fried chicken which is good as a left over, too. Lots of fresh choices.

Really fun and great staff! Try their onion rings. Also, they have a "frequent eater" card, so if you plan on going to the airport area a lot, get that. The service was laid back and friendly. The place is cute and very diner-like. It is worth a shot if you are looking to kill time like I was before an international flight. I went upon a friend's suggestion and had a blast before my long flight! I will recommend this place for sure! BEST onion rings!

I arrived there with my family on a late Tuesday night, and the two very nice waitresses politely told us that they were closing, but if we wanted they could try to have us served. We came back on another day at lunch time and again were very well treated. The fried chicken is great!

We hit Pann's for breakfast every time we're in LA. Always packed and food is consistent. Prices are a little steep but it's LA, what do you expect?

LA is known for its chicken & waffles. Pann's is the best. I have tried many, but Pann's waffles and fried chicken never disappoints. They also have wonderful bisquits. Always busy, but worth it. Pick up a pie on the way out!

We went for breakfast. The menu was extensive and offered a large number of reasonably priced combinations. The atmosphere was informal and people seemed as comfortable as can be in a restaurant. The service was right on time. Although my wife asked for well cooked eggs, they were too well cooked for her taste and our waitress immediately ordered a replacement, which met her specification. All of our party enjoyed their meals. My sister is a L.A. native but had not been there before but was impressed enough to say that she would return.

Sat at the counter since at 11am on Sunday morning there was a line outside..we love diner counters anyways! Watched the massive amount of breakfast food coming out of kitchen so decided to split a delicious omelet with hash browns and biscuit which was more than enough for us to split. The coffee cake they call “social-it-to-me” was a real treat since they don’t have danish. It was delicious but would have loved it heated. Our waiter Elliott couldn’t have been more helpful and nice to us!!! We definitely will return !

Pan's has an amazing selection for breakfast. They have gotten a little pricey these days which disturbs me so I have gone a little bit less. Nonetheless, my grandson and I still have a great time. I think their breakfast items are the best and that's what I would order. I would skip their lunch items and also note did they close early. You will not be able to have dinner there and you don't want to. We especially love their biscuits and gravy you can eat them there or have them to go and they are fantastic every time without fail. The waffles are tall and their pancakes are soft and fluffy. There isn't one breakfast item I would not recommend. Pann's has been around forever it seems and the place has not been remodeled in sometime, but it is super cute and Incredibly clean. There is free parking in their lot and you can't miss the place. Have a great time.

Really great place to eat. Had breakfast and the different options were excellent. Can say that I have never been offered Fried Chicken for breakfast, but it was great. Nice to eat at a place that I have seen in movies XXX and Next.

So excited to find Pann's. I had read about it before, but had forgotten about it. I was googling "good breakfast near LAX" and Pann's came up. We were so excited when we saw the place. A true piece of Americana. There are so few of these kind of places anymore and I get so excited when I stumble across one. The decor is to die for. I hope they never change a thing. The place was immaculate and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. A lot of them looked like they had been there for years. As for the food, we just had breakfast and it was very good. I can't wait to return to Pann's when I am back in LA next month! I hear they have awesome fried chicken but I have not yet tried it. Next time I just might order it for breakfast!

Friendly staff, good food and homely atmosphere. All in all, a great diner. Would definitely go back.

We went here for lunch and it is a casual dining diner atmosphere with decorations from 20 years ago. It is a Ladera Heights classic. Great soup and salad combo. Quick and helpful service.

Excellent breakfast, my kids referred to it as "poppin", I guess that's a good thing. If anything, it was a bit pricey, but the food was good and was delivered by a very friendly staff.

My sister and I were in town for a concert and baseball game and this place was recommended to us. It was near our hotel so we decided to check it out, and it was definitely worth our time. First off, the decor is kitschy and fabulous, our host was funny and gracious and our waiter was friendly and attentive. But the food! Was amazing. I had pancakes, eggs over easy and sourdough toast, and my sister had the waffles, scrambled eggs and a sausage patty, and we split a serving of grits. Because grits! You must have grits in a retro waffle house. I think it's a federal law. It was $55 for both of us (with tip and beverages), so definitely not cheap, but we also didn't feel the need to eat lunch, so it was like two meals in one. Just go already.

It is a famous setting for many movie scenes, but more importantly (to me) it serves wonderful diner classics perfectly and everyone is treated like a member of the family, whether it is your first time or your 100th visit. They treated every customer walking in as a long lost friend, and many of the customers were greeted by name with hugs. If you new to town or flying in or out of LAX, stop by Pann's for some warmth and comfort food. When I saw chicken wings and waffle on the menu, my only dilemma was how many wings to get ;) I opted for 2 wings with my waffle for $13.45. The chicken had a crunchy scald while the meat remained moist, and the waffle was crisp and light. Heartier appetites might want to up the fried chicken to a breast and wing for $16.15 or even have a fried pork chop with their waffle for $16.95. For those who want an old fashioned southern style breakfast, sausage patties with eggs, grits, and a biscuit for $12.95 will stick to your ribs and warm your memories. We asked for a side of gravy for the grits which made it an even heartier meal. The fluffy biscuit is definitely recommend over toast as a side, but choose your preference. I came back on another day wanting something a little healthier so opted for 2 wings with a side of spinach. The spinach was simply steamed but very fresh and utterly delicious even without the whipped butter on the side. For a brunch, the scrambled eggs with hash browns, a hamburger patty, and buttered toast for $12.95 is a good combination. They have options like blackened catfish, collard greens, and turkey burgers, if you want something a little lighter, but when you are looking for old fashioned homestyle comfort food, this place serves it with a smile and fresh ingredients that show the care they put into the preparation.

All smiles diner, heading to the airport stopped by to have some breakfast. A real old fashioned style diner serving the most scrumptious food. I was quite surprised to see people eating spicy chicken so early in the morning, mother smell was great and the taste buds we,re tantalised.,staff very friendly, the food was amazing, a great place to start the day.

I used to live near Pann's before I moved far away so when I'm in town again I try hard to get over for a meal there. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the food great and familiar, and it's like coming home to a great cooked meal. It seems to be crowded every time I visit which makes me happy. So many have discovered how wonderful it is! See you next time I'm in town, Pann's! [Note: closes at 3pm]

Pann's is a diner throwback that is rarely found on the West Coast anymore. Classic Googie Architecture brings that 50's car culture feel to life. Located just a few miles from LAX this modern classic eatery has a large faithful fan base. The restaurant was clean and comfortable inside. The neon, the booths and the menu make it feel like not much has changed in 60 plus years. Not often do you see people walk in for take out at a diner but I witnessed that several times and fried chicken appeared to be in order. Chicken is available by the piece or as a meal. In this occasion we tried the two piece dark meat fried chicken plate with collard greens and mashed potatoes with gravy. We were given a taste size sample of the Mac and Cheese as well as the house potato salad. The chicken was crispy, thin batter and well seasoned. The greens were well done, cooked tender and would have held up at any Soul food restaurant. Mashed potatoes and gravy lacked salt and were over mixed. The Mac and Cheese was good but standard and the potato salad was very under cooked with too much crunch in the potato. We also tried a small garden salad and the Dream Burger without cheese along with a mixed basket of crispy thin fries and large crunchy onion rings. The salad was small but fresh. Simple green salad with a few cucumber slices, two cherry tomatoes and a couple of croutons. The bleu cheese dressing was decent but lacked some of the chunks or punch you associate with the dressing. Fries were cooked perfect and were very crisp and hot. The onion rings are huge and battered in house. The dream burger indicates on the menu that it is a 50/50 blend of Prime and Choice beef. It is dressed with a house relish, lettuce and tomato and grilled onions can be added for no additional charge. The burger was cooked to a well done temperature when I had requested medium. This may have been the cooks default temp for most burgers but there was nothing left of the richness you would associate with prime beef. The grilled onions were tasty and the bun was soft and worked well for the burger. The house relish reminded me of the flavor profile from Bobs Big Boy when I was a kid though Panns may be the original. The location gets big points for architecture. Our waitress Nicole was excellent. She was personable, attentive, funny and menu knowledgeable. Prices vary depending on what you order with a midrange around $11.00. Breakfast is served all day and beer and wine are offered. This is a very solid 3 stars and would have been a 4 star if not for the overcooked burger and overworked potatoes. Breakfast appears to be king here with the chicken wings and waffles appearing on nearly every other table. Driving by the next morning the parking lot was full and so was the dining room. Worth a stop to time-warp 60 years back.

After living in SoCal for 7 years, sadly, I didn't discover Pann's until I went there in one of my last weeks there with a friend. The decor in and out is classic LA 1960s and the service is warm and friendly and feels like a family run restaurant. The food is not only delicious, but it also feels hearty and down home, not the typical LA food of vegan things with avocado. My favorite dish is available only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, which is the beef brisket with their homemade BBQ sauce. It's the best BBQ sauce that I've ever had in my life anywhere. Another favorite of mine is the fried chicken, which is one of their signature dishes. I should also mention that the side dishes are phenomenal, including the pineapple cole slaw and the biscuits. I can't think of any reason not to go to Pann's, esp if you are visiting Los Angeles by air, as it's only about 10 mins from LAX.

We had driven by this restaurant before and were intrigued by it, but it was a bit out of our way so it took us a few months to actually get there. My husband and I had an appointment at the DMV down the street on a Saturday morning, so we figured we would try this neat looking establishment. We arrived at 9 AM on a Saturday and about 90% of the seats were taken. We grabbed two seats at the counter. People were waiting for tables when we finished eating at 9:45. I recommend going early if you go. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She made sure to check on us and offered many refills. We even got a rewards card! Our food came out quickly and was tasty. It was pretty much standard diner food that was comparable to our favorite diner in Upstate NY. We got a kick out of the decor, it was so cool and retro. I recommend going for the experience, it's like being on an episode of Mad Men. We loved the place so much that we purchased 2 coffee mugs as souvenirs (incase we ever move out of LA).

Where else can you find breakfast all day, awesome sandwiches, delicious full meals Mexican food, Italian food, wine and beer, and an ice cream soda in the same place to eat? And dine in a unique 1950's atmosphere diner! The only problem is parking; which can be difficult at times. Only a short distance from LAX; if you're staying at an LAX airport, it's worth the short taxi ride to get away from hotel food! It's located at a busy intersection where three main streets intersect ; so watch the traffic! ENJOY!

I like pann's. The family has been going since it opened after Dinah's. It's sad that it is only open from 7-3PM.

Driving past Pann's, we had a Pulp Fiction flashback and turned around to eat there. Turns out our instincts were close since this is a the cousin to the original diner from the Tarantino classic. The movie aside, Pann's is great for the stomach and much less great for your coronary arteries. The cuisine is straight comfort food - read waffles, eggs, biscuits, fried chicken. As someone for needs a lot of comforting, I loved Pann's. Salad-folks and cardiac rehab diners should probably look everywhere.

Yes, Redonkulous!!! The chicken and waffles blows Roscoes away. It was really good! The vibe is really cool and for a place that has been there for years without much of an upgrade, it is clean and inviting with happy servers and fun music pumping through the system to boot! Will be visiting again if I am on this side of town!

Great food, great staff, and great vibe. 2nd time here and enjoyed it. Located in a convenient area, always full but too packed def recommend to all.

We went to Pann's for dinner and found the hustle and bustle of what is a really popular location, very exciting. The layout is really authentic and quite striking for a diner. Naturally, Pann's have been making awesome chicken for a long time! We had the chicken breast and waffles, just delicious. The coating for the chicken was perfect and so savoury that the contrast was really tasty. I would have given it 5/5 but I just tried so little of this vast menu that I couldn't commit to a higher score. Next time im back, Pann's is on the list!

When I started my research for our trip to Los Angeles the first thing I checked out were the best diners. I read reviews and saw photos of Pann's and decided that this was the one we would visit. This historic diner has been here since 1956. That is old for L.A. It seldom happens when your experience exceeds your anticipation but it did when we went to Pann's for breakfast. It was perfect. The decor is fantastic. We wanted to sit at one of the big, plush leather booths but ended up at the counter and I am glad we did. Our waitress was wonderful. This must be a good place to work. She has been there for 22 years. This is a sprawling diner with a long counter and lots of seating. It reminds me of the places I went to in the 50s and 60s. I liked every song I heard played over the sound system. Hey, it was the soundtrack of my early youth. We were served our food just a few minutes after we ordered. Everything was delicious. My wife even liked hers. She is still thinking about her waffle with whipped cream and strawberries. She didn't lick the bowl the whipped cream came in but there was not a speck of it left. My son and I tried one of their signature breakfast dishes, waffles and eggs with chicken wings. The eggs and waffle were great and the fried wings were stupendous. When our waitress checked to see if our food was okay my wings were finished. She said " You should have ordered the four wing breakfast". We all loved this place. Check it out if you get a chance.

I travel to LA a lot, often trapped near LAX for quick overnights for a conference. I'm so glad to have found this fun diner from 1958. The food is terrific, as long as you are OK with less healthy comfort food, and you can't help but be in a good mood here. I and my 11 year old son really enjoyed it, and I'll be eager to find my way back.

This place has a lot of history. And Very Good Food!! Service was outstanding! Prices were reasonable. We all really enjoyed it! Especially their scrumptious huge homemade biscuits!! (Reminded me of my grandma’s)!! Highly recommend you go there!!!!

We were looking for a "local" place not far from the airport and we stumbled onto Pann's. It was just what we were looking for. It had people from all walks of life and it was bustling. Breakfast was perfect- with great coffee!

This old school haunt is THE place to get your fried chicken and champagne fix on the weekend. Saddle up to the bar and you'll be pleasantly greeted by their waitstaff who keep you topped up. The service is super quick and everyone's very welcoming. Don't forget to look at the old pics around the joint and notice how familiar it looks (scenes from Pulp Fiction were filmed here). Enjoy!

I actually went to Pann's because of some photos I saw on TripAdvisor. The bacon, eggs and pancakes looked irresistible, and in reality they were quite good. The 'cakes were fluffy and substantial; this certainly wasn't IHOP. Best of all, the staff couldn't have been friendlier, which was balm for this tired traveler. I'd have rated Pann's higher but for the coffee. My wife and I like to call this kind of brew "brown water" -- that is, no particular flavor at all. It wasn't bad, just didn't add anything to what was otherwise a very good breakfast.

I liked the atmosphere with the old rack tunes playing. The food was good, and they actually cook the burgers to your liking. My patty melt was a perfect pink medium. My dining partners had breakfast entrees at 8:00 PM. Service was good, and we had large enough portions so that we all took some home. Prices in the moderate range for a diner.

Just love eating at Pann's; the service, especially by Brenda, is just comfort at its best. The chicken is so good. Go and enjoy it.

We got seated quickly both days even though we showed up during the breakfast rush. The staff works fast and is very friendly. Our coffee was refreshed often. The breakfast menu has all the traditional stuff and some more unusual stuff too. I ordered the Cajun Andouille sausage with eggs one morning and it was fantastic. The biscuits with sausage and gravy were to die for. Pancakes were so good!

We had a great American breakfast here which was very reasonably priced with good service. We will definitely visit again next time we are in town!

You've seen this diner in a number of blockbusters: Triple X w/ Vin Diesel, Next w/ Nicolas Cage & Jessica Biel among others, but not in Pulp Fiction contrary to the legend. Loved the 1950's architecture and the tacky decoration. The service is friendly enough, it is usually full and the food is average. Definitely a MUST SEE for tourists in LA.

Neat place. Small menu, the staff was friendly. My 3 star review is for the service. It was slow to order the food, and the order was wrong. Limited menu.

I’m still furious. My family of five — my wife and our three kids — went to Pann’s hoping for a classic LA breakfast while visiting from out of town. Instead, we walked out feeling disrespected, targeted, and cheated. Our server, Angie P., quietly added an automatic gratuity to our bill. That charge is clearly reserved for parties of **six or more** — and we were five. She never told us. Didn’t ask. Just slipped it in, like we wouldn’t notice. We didn’t until after paying. That’s not an oversight — that’s a choice. When I went to the manager, he was shockingly dismissive. No apology. No ownership. Just a half-shrug and, “I’ll talk to her.” As if this was no big deal. He said he’d take the tip off and told me to “call next week if it’s not fixed.” Really? That’s how you handle a blatant, shady charge? This wasn’t just a mistake — it felt **deliberate**, and yes, **racially motivated**. A Black family walks in, you assume we won’t question the bill, and tack on a charge we didn’t earn? That’s how you treat people? The food? Cold. Bland. Forgettable. The table was sticky. Angie acted like we were a burden, not customers. We sat there trying to enjoy a rare moment as a family — and instead left disgusted and humiliated. I’ve eaten at greasy spoons, fine diners, and everything in between. I’ve never felt more unwanted at a restaurant in my life. This wasn’t just bad service — it was a slap in the face. Shame on Pann’s. You lost more than a customer. You lost a family’s respect. And now, you’ve earned a review that’s going everywhere — because people deserve to know.

All day breakfast for us late risers in an American diner - just like in the movies. Loved it. Staff were great plenty of coffee refills. Pancakes and french toast - haven't had them in a long time. Only had a chance to visit once but will be on our list for future visits.

Short drive from the airport, at a busy intersection corner. The place Looks like an old dinner from the outside. Looks like an old dinner from the inside. Even the sign is old school. And that is part of the charm. And the magic is the people that takes care of you. Everyone seems to know everyone. And they are all happy to be here. Sat at the counter for some chicken AND waffles. Not chicken waffles as I was explained from the owner and another gentleman who sat next to me. The food was good, but the people that made me feel so welcomed, as if I been coming for years. Next time I am in town, will definitely be back. For some chicken and waffles, and some of the best smiles/service anywhere.

The staff is friendly and the owners is attentive and friendly. The food is amazing. Try the Belgian waffles, fried chicken, hot links. Not together. LoL. Every person from every walk of life comes and is treated the same. Try to get Derrick as your waiter. He is the best!! Makes the experience.

My bestie and I asked for a table, they made us share a table with another couple. NOT HAPPY AT ALL, IN FACT IT REALLY PISSED ME OFF. The hostess had a seriously bad attitude when I questioned the seating arrangement. NEVER coming back

Classic breakfast, lunch or dinner. Nothing fancy, just down to earth salt of America dining. Steak and eggs or generous portions of hash browns everything is fresh. The restaurant always smells as if we’re just cleaned...fair prices and many familiar faces everyday.

Love this place. Must stop by when in the area or near LAX. Great fried chicken and great waffles!! Service is terrific too! Please note that hours changed as of August 1st - closing at 3pm on weekdays and Saturdays and 4pm on Sunday. Great 50's diner atmosphere.

We eat here EVERY time we are in L.A. Love this restaurant, but this time was noticeably different. Our server, Aracely, had the WORST attitude. Hate to rate the restaurant on the server alone, but putting this out there as a warning for others. Granted it was a busy Monday with MLK day and all, but that shouldn't affect the service received. We will go back on our next visit but will avoid her section at all costs. We have always had outstanding service here in the past which made this visit unique.

I love the fried chicken. Excellent service, clean and safe -- this place rocks for home-made and fresh fried chicken, home-made corned beef hash and all the other trappings one would expect going to a diner.

Really enjoyed this iconic restaurant. Great menu with the quintessential chicken and waffles featured, although I had the waffle with eggs over easy. Friendly and efficient staff. We were there a little after the lunch hour and were seated immediately. Perfect place to go when you have left the east coast in the wee hours of the morning and need to start your day all over again on the left coast! GREAT coffee!

Great breakfast location and the only place I've ever been able to order sautéed spinach with my cheese grits. Their bottomless mimosas or Bloody Mary's are a great deal, and the people watching is amazing. I almost asked a man, wearing a tiny cowboy hat and red kerchief to pose for a photo - I thought he was a waiter - turns out he was just another campy character in this super interesting dive.

Service and Food were beyond exceptional!! Our waiter was not only friendly he was very helpful And entertaining..would recommend this place to anyone visiting LA
50's food and dining are here to stay!
Unfortunately this venue is only open for Breakfast and Lunch daily, dinner was discontinued a year or so ago. If you like lots of good food for a reasonable price this will work for you. I love the real homemade milkshakes, which come with the extra in a cylinder that can be shared! Very rich and tasty. The music represents the 50-60's oldies and it is so much fun to come here. Breakfast served all day and daily lunch specials.
