Having just cycled through Puglia (which means we get to eat as much as we like!), this is the real deal. Authentic Apulian panzerotti, made with imported Italian ingredients wrapped in a super thin dough and lightly fried - although they now offer baked panzerotti as well. So if you prefer baked, you got it! My favorite is the Salame - Mozzarella, Tomato Sauce and Italian Spicy Salami. The mozzarella is fresh and the tomato sauce is homemade. And the wife loves the Gourmet Octopus - Baby Octopus, Mashed Potato and Parsley. We've been here already 5 or 6 times for lunch and once for dinner. We've never been disappointed! If you're looking for tons of food per serving, this isn't your place. But if you're looking for authentic Italian, with fresh ingredients and a reasonable serving size (a meal, not a banquet) you'll love Panzerotti Bites.

Excellent. The perfectly fried panzerotti and fresh coffee brightened my whole day. The clean back porch is an excellent alternative to all the dirty street eating nowadays

The best panzerotti ever eaten even of those eaten in Italy, light fried, thin pasta stuffed varied and quality '! The sympathy of the boys does the rest!! Congratulations!!

The panzerotti here are yummy, light and delicious calzone type treats. The dough is thinner than a calzone, so not as heavy, and the fillings more substantial. We tried the classico (tomato and mozzarella), artichoke, porcini mushroom, salame, and mortadella. There are also tuna, octopus and salmon. Just have to go back another time to sample the rest. Oh and don't miss the dessert panzerotti especially the ricotta and nutella one. To die for!

Impermeable! Come just Brooklyn eat the delicious panzerotti. Difficult to choose between the various flavour options! Certainly one of my favorite places in NY.

My sister and I are absolutely obsessed. These beautiful pockets of fresh, flavorful cheeses and filling have made our day. We had the classic and porcini.... dough is light, sauce is perfect, cheese is amazing. Come treat yourself!!

The panzerotti are truly delicious! Excellent dough as much as the products for the filling! An Apulian tells you this 😊 The place was impeccably clean! See you soon guys, keep it up! ❤️

I live in the area where the fried panzerotto was invented, a delicacy entirely from southern Italy, to be precise from the north of Bari. During a short break in NY, I wanted to try the panzerotti from the infamous Panzerotti Bites, a small but comfortable place located in Brooklyn. I admit that I was a little skeptical that the New Yorkese panzerotti would not have made me miss the ones from Puglia. And yet for me it was a pleasant surprise to discover that, after eating 4 whole panzerotti (an excessive portion for an evening meal) I did not feel any sense of heaviness and stubbornness. The panzerotti di Vittoria and Pasquale, owners of the restaurant, are a real goodness and, even, tastier and lighter than many of those offered to us in Puglia. According to Vittoria and Pasquale, this is due to the quality of the products (mainly oil, flour and mozzarella) and the leavening of the mass. In short, anyone who went to New York should not give up on tasting the delicacies of Panzerotti Bites.

A truly authentic place, the tuna and onion calzone and the one with octopus are delicious. Everything is done at the moment, excellent ingredients of TRUE Italian quality. Abbiamo trovato anche il chinotto! The owner was very kind. We will definitely return on our next trip to NYC!

As a Bari we could not go to this place. Vittoria and Pasquale welcomed us warmly and told us their story. We tried various panzerotti, handmade by them, with Italian products. The panzerotti were delicious, we felt at home. The room is clean, even the bathroom, spotless. We left the club happy and with a full stomach.

This was truly one of the best experiences of our NYC trip. Our Panzerotti memories travel back to when we were kids at the St. Anthony’s Italian Festival in Delaware. When we heard of this place, we could not wait to visit. It did not disappoint. Cheesy loveliness, a homemade delicious sauce wrapped in a lightly fried dough. Melts in your mouth. So, good that my husband said more please. I did not think I would get him out of there. Go now. .

If you want to eat the original and delicious panzerotti from Apulia, the best place to go in New York area is Panzerotti Bites. The two young owners are originally from Bari and they follow the original recipe. Best ingredients, the dough is light, soft inside, crispy on the outside, and you can choose fried or baked. Best I have ever had!

Panzerotti Bites is a quaint, clean, and very welcoming establishment on Smith Street. I took a recommendation to eat here from my close friend, a native Neopolitan. Owners Vittoria and Pasquale were so kind and helpful during my experience. Each panzerotto is made to order, with many flavorful combinations to choose from. Their ingredients are extremely fresh and authentically Italian in origin. If you want a real (Apulian) Italian version of an American calzone, this place is for you! I highly recommend it.

I absolutely recommend this place for a number of reasons. This place has really good food, very authentic Italian. The service is really nice. The place is super clean, they pay a lot of attention to covid measures and everything is impeccable cleaning-wise

Perfect place to eat panzerotti all over New York. The panzerotti are homemade, and the quality is felt. If you want to eat the Apulian panzerotto, this is the place. I highly recommend it if you want to eat well, but above all, “Italian”.
a fine treat
I could not help but go in when I saw that this was Apulian food. Panzerotti are like calzone, but crisper and tastier, and like empanadas, but more succulent. I had the Barese Panzerotti (mozzerla, tomato sauce, ham, black olives, anchovies and capers). What I really liked was the crust - crispy and tasty. For me it was a little too salty, but I should have expected that with olives, anchovies and capers. I also found it a little cheesy. Just my taste. I will come back to try another one. The veggie classic and tuna ones look especially interesting for me. The owners are lovely people, kind, spirited and responsive. It is a nice setting, with a great menu in the window, and an open kitchen so you can see the attention they pay to their product. Definitely worth trying. Something special, especially with the recent interest in Puglia.
