This place is great. The food is so fresh and so good. The salmon is my favorite main dish. But the best thing on the menu is the fried Alligator.

It was my father in laws birthday celebration. We had six people in our group. We got there about 7PM on a Wednesday. We expected a wait and was not disappointed. During our wait I walked back to the restroom. On my way back I noticed numerous tables vacant. I went to the receptionist, she told me that I was right. She also relayed that the reason was they did not have enough servers. Maybe Wednesday is not a busy night normally and so they did not schedule a full shift. I do not know why but to see empty tables and have to wait 45 minutes was sad. BTW, my wife ordered Atlantic Salmon, got blackened redfish. She told the waiter, he said she got the right dish! So, we waited for 45 minutes to get the wrong dish? Sad night.

It has it all, fried, grilled, steamed etc. Oyster many ways, alligator bites, great salads and the sea food will please anyone. We had the Atlantic Salmon and the special of the day Alaska Halibut with Crab. It was fantastic. They did not have our wine( Jordan) but gave us Cale Bread at the same price. They were out of Bread Pudding so the hostess said she would comp it on our next visit. Service was perfect, we sat next to the patio and unfortunately they allow cigar smoking and the doors were opened every few minutes letting in the cigar smoke.

I have eaten here twice. If you like Cajun seafood then you will like this place. The frog legs were good, but they are not for me. I recommend a combo plate if you want to try a little bit of everything. My husband and I split one and we had plenty of food. The bread is excellent. If you had wine or drinks your tab will still run you around $100. Like other popular places, if you go midday or early evening, you can avoid the hectic rush or a long wait.

I went there for dinner with my wife and son based on so many good reviews only to be disappointed. We had crawfish, Salmon and mixed seafood grill. Crawfish platter - with tomatoe-based curry was good, but the fried portion was too oily. Seafood was so so and I couldn’t complete the undercooked Salmon. I had far better seafood esp. at Italian restaurants. I think their location in the midst of several hotels helps them a lot, but I will not visit if In the same area again.

We really enjoyed the fish. There was an excellent choice of fresh fish and prepared various ways. My husband had salmon and I had the halibut. Both delicious - and we eat fish a lot. The ambiance was nice, lively, but not too loud. Service was extremely nice and accomodating.

Pleasant staff. Ordered drinks to start — DON’T order a Margarita! Worst mix ever. Gumbo was good with fair taste — that was the last thing that did. We had the seafood pasta and the salmon. Both were so disappointing, they mostly stayed on the plates. Flavor was poor. The shrimp were sloppily trimmed. Sauces lacked any semblance of the correct flavor. To their credit, the manager came by offering other dinners. We declined — at those prices and the other restaurants around, why have another bad meal? Now we know not to go back.

The outside of this place does not look like much - but one has to wonder about the surrounding above-average hotels. The parking lot to this place was packed - and that was the first indication of the magic of Papadeux. They have awesome food, attentive service and the inside is nothing like the outside. If you have not tried this place, give it a shot. I believe its well worth it.

Good food, good service. Worth every penny you pay. Food is so yummy you just want to go back time and time again and order different items each time. First one I went to was in Houston way back in 1995 with a good friend.

It's got the charm and ambiance of a New Orleans 4 or 5 star, without the strict dress code. Great for Happy Hours or regular dining. The staff is awesome! Always have been on every visit. The food has traditional Creole and Cajun influences, with some great cocktails to complement. Some of the best seafood in town- even if it isn't the most expensive. Great Happy hour specials, too. We'll keep coming back!

When visiting Texas, make your way to a papadeux restaurant. It's seafood food done right! The atmosphere is loud and happy, and the service is great. My only complaint is there is a wait to get seated, however the food is worth waiting for.

We were able stantly greeted and seated upon entering. We were a little early. Our drinks were brought out right away and we were given plenty of time to decide on what we wanted since it was our first time there. The seafood was very good. This is a pricey place. Our bill was over $100 for the two of us, which included 2 beers and 2 glasses of wine.

This is not our first or last visit to this restaurant. Their special was trout and the price was right. We enjoyed the meal as expected.

Ordered one of the newest chef specials. It was a little salty but overall very tasty. Oysters were large and excellent. Our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. Offered to give me soft drink to go which is not a usual offering. Was very pleased and will return.

Dinner with a friend last night. Drinks were good, beer list ok. Had tbe seafood chowder and beaudin appetizers - outstanding Dinner was Redfish and Shrimp, also excellent, but some sort of kitchen problem led to a big delay in service, the restaurant was not that busy? I'll go back, but had a better experience at the I-35 location. Perhaps this one is still working through its newness.

I had a business meeting here and the service was excellent by the staff. I ordered the chicken Caesar and it was hands down the best salad I have eaten. Believe me there is a difference in a good salad and a basic salad and they served up the perfect meal. We met at 11:30 and we didn't have to wait to be seated.

We recently celebrated my daughter's birthday at the Papadeaux in Austin, TX. The restaurant was crowded but not exceptionally so. We were seated almost immediately. It took our server a while to come to the table. We had several questions about items on the menu but he did not seem to be very knowledgable about contents of the menu items. We also wanted to know if one of the luncheon items was available in a dinner portion (one of our party did not care for seafood). We were told that it was not available but a floor managersaid it was. It took him several trips to get our drink order right. We then had to wait to order our entrees for several minutes. During the course of our meal, we never saw our waiter and did not get refils on tea or other beverages.

Let me quantify this first. I’ve moved away from Texas, but I’ve traveled back to Austin. This particular Papadeaux is off of 183 and Duval. Simply stated, I review many, many restaurants. This place is at the top for many reasons. The food choices are simply outstanding, in my particular order was delicious. My accompanying brother said that the ribeye is the best ribeye in Austin. Those are strong words, but true. I’ve had many dishes here and they’re all outstanding. Particularly, in this time and age with the virus around.... I extremely appreciated the detail of wiping down areas that are touched frequently, wiping down menus, wiping down checkbooks that are presented for your bill, and generally cleaning everything that’s around you in the proper manner. I want to especially bring attention to a manager that is on the top of her game, Miranda Nichols. This woman has an eye for detail, and impressed me immensely. She’s the type of manager that every restaurant needs and desires to be successful. If you don’t come to this restaurant while you’re in Austin, in my opinion, you have made a serious mistake. I very rarely dish out five stars, and this is extremely deserved. Please come here and ask for Miranda.

I had ate at a different location before but always loved it. I took my husband here Friday the 12th for the first time and it was absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!! We spent twice as much money at a steak house the next night in San Antonio and this meal was just as good, maybe better. I had the Shrimp & Scallop Orecchietta Pasta and I couldn't get enough, okay actually I could, I only ate half because I got so full but it was the best pasta/seafood dish I have EVER had. Hubby had the Pasta Mardi Gras, he said it was the best sausage he'd ever ate... the sauce was a bit sweeter than he'd like though and I agree. It's probably the tomato that gives it the sweetness. The ceasar salad was great too!! The waitress was super friendly and helpful and the manager came by to say hey as well.

I got a couple of oyster dishes and a salad, plus wine. The bar staff were friendly and very attentive. Their version of oysters rockefeller was way too cheesy for me.

On vacation with my daughter, we like Papadeaux in Austin so well that we returned for a second meal. The manager and wait staff are exceptional. They will tell you that they can customize a dish especially for you if that is your request. With the gas-lit lanterns and bow-tie clad waiters, you do feel like you are in the heart of New Orleans. Sometimes you need a break from Texas Barbecue. I enjoyed a seafood-filled gumbo - it was so plentiful that I could have been satisfied with a cup, not the bowl that I ordered. On each occasion, we had enjoyable meals and excellent service.

Varied menu - excellent tasting food - good service, very clean and well maintained. have had the crab salad, fried sampler, serving size is enough to share -

On a Friday night at 7:30 pm with call ahead seating we called the and the hostess said there was around a 25 minute wait. So I put my name on the list and drove there it took about 30 minutes to get to the restaurant. We checked in and only had to wait about 5 minutes. In and eating in under 30 minuets. As always great food great atmosphere. Great place to celebrate anything.

We have always loved Papadeaux. Dropped in yesterday for a spur of the moment romantic dinner. The staff gets a 5* thumbs up for effort. They take food allergies very seriously, and were very helpful in talking with the chefs to determine an ingredient I needed to avoid. Would have been helpful if 'cream sauce' or 'cheese sauce' were listed on the menu on the Chilean Sea Bass, or if the waiter had known of that ingredient in what he said was the 'best item on the menu'. Our food was really good - though the prices are up up up and portion sizes are down down down. It was definitely not a filling dinner. Yet, kudos to flavor in new striped bass and shrimp entree. Now for the atmosphere... The restaurant is HUGE. It was rather empty at 5:30pm, with patrons spread around. We were seated in a corner near the drink stand. Not only did we feel like we were being pushed out of the way, but the restaurant also smelled funny. I attribute this to being a semi-warm, humid day and an issue with the AC system getting rid of moisture in the building. But it wasn't a wonderful scent. Overall, it was a rather disappointing evening. Summary: $70 for water, 2 entrees (yet, not one I originally ordered), leaving hungry, and feeling a bit marginalized...

Excellent food, with a huge menu, the dining experience is a bit noisy due to the large number of patrons that frequent this place, (although a huge crowd is definitely a sign of great food too) The bar wait staff were a bit slow, but nothing bad and otherwise no complaints at all

Went to Austin for an overnight business trip, wen to Papadeaux as it was near and wanted seafood. Sat at the bar and the bartender suggested their oysters special offered that they have every week Monday thru Thursday. The wait was a bit long as the people behind the bar were super busy shucking oysters for other tables. The wait was well worthwhile. Oysters were super fresh and very delicious, they presented them in a a bed of ice and 4 different sauces. They were the best I ever had. My second dish was disappointing, their shrimp dish was over cooked and rubbery almost sent it back but the oysters saved the night.Their key lime pie was delicious. Will very likely go to their Dallas location for their oysters

Good płace ,but very noisy. If there is a lots of customers in there, you can not hear anybody talking at your table. That is not good. Food prices very expensive, but you will not get hungry.

Very good food representative of New Orleans fare. Service is good. Tables and booths along the interior brick wall are noiser than those on the other side.

The new location in the Northwest area of Austin is wonderful. lots of parking. wonderful staff and very generous portions. Only negative is noise. The "tin" ceiling and lots of staff activities makes it not terrific for conversation with table mates, and actually the table are to close to one another. Then again the food was excellent and at a good price. We went at lunch time, it was packed. I understand dinner time is worse, so be prepared to wait. Worth it.

We just returned from WDW where they served shrimp and grits that would not make the cut in Texas. WDW should send their chef to Papadeaux to learn. This place is always busy and popular with the business crowd. Our regular spot in San Antonio has been around for over 25 years and is always busy. There's something special about the Pappas operation. We saw this dish arrive with eight large shrimp. The grits were creamy and delicious and just enough spicy to make it very tasty. The grilled catfish was delectable and it came with huge chunks of tasty butternut squash. The veggie was amazing, it tasted like sweet potato. Our onion rings were great as usual, crispy and spicy. Papadeaux is a consistent performer since day one.

Our sales team frequents this place. I had the rainbow trout (flown in daily) and blackened shrimp. Perfectly prepared and delightfully delicious. Good white wine and ended with 1942 Tequila. You can tell we had a good sales weekend. The service is always s great. They handle a lot of people in an efficient way. A good experience each time.

I love this place. I've come here quite a few times, and I can say that I've never had a bad meal. Dont be afraid to try something new here, I had many of my firsts here such as alligator, frog legs, oysters, and I have yet to regret the experience. Can get pricey but the portions and quality are worth every penny.

Food was crazy good. Wait staff needs a little improvement in being friendly. They were busy, food timing was good, but waitpersons...smile people!

Always good food here. A little loud inside (acoustics not the best), but the food and service make up for that.

The server was super busy and maybe new so he tried but not the best service. Food took a while and it was good and warm. The gumbo was not to the liking of those at the table. Seafood platter was very good and lots of food. Fried crawfish had a kick and was very good. Bread was great but had to ask for seconds and butter.

This is the third Papadeaux's restaurant I had eaten at (Houston & San Antonio were the other two) and I must say you can't go wrong here. The choices are plentiful and the service is always good. On this particular night, things were a little "off". First, we had a server change in the middle of the meal. Things went OK but a little cumbersome since the handover was not communicated well to the new server. Second, the fish platter was not quite up to what I had experienced with the other two Papadeauxs. Will try again next time I am in the area.

Great food, excellent service, okay prices. All you'd expect from a Landry's. Portion size is enough for 2 meals!

Took my wife here for her birthday and really enjoyed it. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Wife had Grits and shrimp and was very tasty. I had the Trout and shrimp and really enjoyed. For desert we had the Bread Pudding with ice cream and it was heavenly. Thanks for making her birthday lunch a wonderful experience.

We had large group for business lunch and it was wonderful 5 Star restaurant. Classy and moderately priced. Server was young lady named Cathy and she went above the norm to make sure everyone was happy with their food and had all 12 customers at our table exactly as ordered. She had a smile on her face entire time and seemed to love her job. Ask for Cathy if you get tired of Mexican food or BBQ or food trucks. You will be very satisfied.

The poor service and the fact that the restaurant won’t serve food on their perfectly nice patio during this pandemic make it so I don’t want to return. I paid a big, fat bill to come from 90 miles away and treat my family to lunch, but I chose this place because of its patio, which was closed. After paying the bill for decent food, I was terribly thirsty. Waitstaff bring your food and your bill, but if we need water or tea, forget it. I had to stop at a gas station on the long drive home for a bottled water.

This was a surprising seafood gem in Austin. The restaurant was immaculate, with quaint but upscale charm, the waiter was very helpful with accurate descriptions and great suggestions. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and large portions. I still have another dinner of Shrimps and grits for tomorrow night to enjoy. THe grits were cheesy with just enough spic andouille sausage and fresh corn. The shrimp portion was large, the shrimp cooked perfectly and the veggies al dente in a tomato based lightly spiced sauce. Fresh baked bread was crusty and soft with fresh whipped butter. No negatives for our group despite some special requests from our group.

Even though this is part of the Papas' chain of restaurants, it has the consistency and quality of an individual eatery. It is large and somewhat noisy but, it IS the best. The wait staff is well trained and the service is excellent. The wife had flounder covered in a wine sauce that was to die for. After my dozen oysters on the half shell, I had the blacken red snapper covered in a crab sauce......again, excellent. Pricy but, worth it.

The food at Papa's never fails to deliver. We have eaten here while in Austin several times and have enjoyed each entree. This is a must try.

I can't remember which Papadeaux restaurant it was, but I've been there several times and have never been disappointed, but apart from the great dishes, there's something else that really makes me remember a special day that we went there. The people at the reception desk. We went for my granddaughter's birthday and found we'd have to wait more than 1 hour. My granddaughter was in tears. I went to the reception and said: "I've come all the way from Amsterdam for my granddaughter's birthday, and now poor girl is in tears because we have to wait for more than an hour". Papadeaux's immediate reaction? The best! They checked when a table for 6 would be ready, and then told me "We'll call you in 5 minutes". They really did. It WAS just 5 minutes. One of the reasons I love Papadeaux. They even served her a dessert on the house. My special crab dish: Out of this world.

Visited Papadeauxs for lunch as they are always so busy in the evening. I have neve had a bad item at this place. From the lobster bisque, to the wedge salad, to the seafood plater it was all superb. If they keep serving me meals like this, I will keep coming back.

Austin has a lot of great restaurant options, but sometimes you just need someplace that is reliable and easy to get to when traveling along route 35. Papadeaux is it! Had every intention of taking an out-of-town visitor to a local cantina for an authentic meal, but traffic, time restraints and weather did not cooperate. So we decided to head to Papadeaux as it was close to their hotel. What a great place! The interior is gorgeous, with it's high ceilings and ornate decor. But seating remains intimate, casual and cozy. Our waiter was first rate, keeping the process moving at a comfortable pace, with adequate time to browse the menu and then answering all our questions. There really is something for everyone, with delicious soups and apps for a lighter choice, and nice sized entree portions for the hardier appetite. A decent selection of wines, beer and mixed cocktails. Desert was darn good too! Everything we had we quite tasty. Would recommend to anyone staying at the Crowne Plaza or Doubletree.

Tasty huge portions excellent service! Deserts freshly baked! Even the salad was memorable. The presentations are amazing! I wanted to go back but our stay did not afford the time.

We went a year between visits. Just like last time the place had a smell and it still does. Not a pleasant one. Waiter was a little off. Seemed to be really on top of stuff at first and then started down hill quickly. My Wife asked for bread and butter as quick as he could, because it was 3:00 pm and we had not eaten all day. Well he brought water and then drinks and then he took our order, no bread. Finally he brought out our order with a loaf of cold stale bread. Food was OK, but not really what I expected to get at this restaurant. Poor boy sandwich was drenched in both red sauce and tarter sauce. Let me do that, the shrimp might have been crispy, but when drowned in sauce they quickly became mush. Crawfish bisque was tasty, but it was served with a teaspoon. We asked for a soup spoon, but it was cold by the time the spoon arrived. Seafood Cobb Salad was OK, but rather small for a $15.00 salad. Doubt we will be back anytime soon. It was a year between visits last time maybe it's time for a two year break. We went for desert as a last effort to save the meal. Cream Brûlée came out with a burnt sugar topping. So much for this place. It will be a long time before we return, if ever.

The seafood at Papadeaux is always excellent, fresh and delicious! The huge Seafood Platter is enough for two peole to share ... fried catfish - yummy, fried shrimp- amazing, stuffed crab (to die for!), stuffed shrimp and if you don't want fries they will substitute another vegetable. The bread is so delicious ... just love that you can go there and it is always so good. Very good service too. Go early to avoid a wait.

They have a wide variety of seafood. I had the seafood grill which is shrimp, Mahi-Mahi, and vegetables grilled on two skewers served over a bed of wild rice. The food was grilled to perfection. Cost was $23.95 for the plate. They also served hot bread. Service was excellent.

We went to celebrate the mothers and grandmothers in our lives - we are blessed. This was their choice. There was an hour wait for our table and an hour wait for our food. The manager said that was totally unacceptable for a true Papadeaux experience and treated us to our meals and desert. The meals were worth the wait in my opinion - but who can refuse a free meal. I had shrimp and grits and it was really good - my father-in-law would have said "I've had better" - which is the truth - about 5 years ago @Sandra Bullock's place it was a touch better but that was the best I have ever had. We have been goining to the Papa's family restruants for almost 50 years (starting in Houston) and love all of them. We will return - but not on Mother's Day.

We visited Austin and were told how amazing the food is and it surpassed our expectations! The salmon was seasoned just right and the kabobs were outstanding. The portions are very large and I could only eat half of my meal. The bread was warm and fluffy, I could have eaten the entire loaf! Our wait was not too long for a busy Friday night...probably less than 10 minutes. I will definitely go back when passing thru or visiting the Austin area

Papadeaux has excellent food and a great atmosphere. It is loud but in a friendly way. The service is good and chips and salsa delicious. I return time and time again.

We ate at the restaurant and atmosphere was great! But I️ ordered the Mardi Gras seafood pasta . It was a lot plenty of shrimp and pasta the only think was the taste. It needed more spices so if you order this ask for more flavor to the food.

We always have had a good experience at this restaurant for the last 12 years. But after waiting 50 mins (they told us 25 mins) on Sunday at 4 pm at the one on 183 and seeing how everybody entered before us and checking in several times with the host, we decided to leave and never come back. Sorry you lost a loyal customer of 12 years.

The fish and other seafood from the Gulf were exceptional and the portions enormous. That is my only complaint - no small or half portions. This means wasting food when you're traveling and can't take it home. But the flavors were so very good. It is a little dark at the tables but service was great and the food will remind you of Louisiana.

We always enjoy the salad, bread and baked potato for me and my husband enjoys the shrimp platter. Usually acceptional service.

We were eating there a few times. Food quality is excellent, no additives. Waiters are friendly and entirely helpful. The menu is rich. One may struggle to come to a decision about what to eat. It is not a cheap place, but worthwhile. Even during hectic moments service is fast and immaculate. Food quality is in each and any aspect commensurate of a better restaurant in Central Europe. The only drawback is the extreme noise inside.

Food is always amazing and fantastic! Not one thing I have tried has disappointed. Everything is good and fits well in your mouth.

My husband and I went at 11 on Sunday, they didn't offer a brunch menu, but you could order from either their lunch or dinner menus. It was A LOT MORE EXPENSIVE than the last time I'd been there! We got bread w/ butter and water quickly, but a couple at a nearby table stormed out after waiting 15 minutes without even a greeting. I had their signature shrimp/scallop/cran pasta w/Spinach & cherry tomatoes. Buttery and garlicky, but not as much seafood as I'd hoped for. Their computer system was down, so we had to pay in cash (so we weren't as generous with the tip as we normally would have been).

The company we had with us was family and the food we had was fabulous....especially the bread pudding!!! I had the Texas grilled redfish with dirty rice and I had so much food that we brought half of it home and I'm enjoying it today...husband had the fried seafood plate and we had to bring some of that home, too! The staff was amazing and the wait for the table on such a busy day was made more pleasant when waitstaff came out to take our drink order...amazing...the first stated wait time was 1 1/2 hours but we were seated thirty minutes after that and didn't even have time to finish that wonderful Fruit Spritzer...we will return...Thank you, Loraine Thulen for that gift card!

Quick stop after a class, had the hand tossed shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque and a couple cocktails. Not found their service or food to falter no matter which location. Two cocktails $20 before tip, bisque and shrimp cocktail $37 before tip. Never disapoints, fairly busy at 5:30 pm.

If you enjoy seafood, then you should really try this restaurant. They have got a lot of choice on their menu for everyone’s taste. The service is a bit slow and the wait time to get a table could sometime be very long but I think it’s worth it.

On the recommendation of several people, both visitors like us and locals, we dined here on Easter Saturday. Wait staff was attentive and helpful but the food was underwhelming to say the least...and more expensive than it should have been. Almost everything was deep fried in the same batter and the sauces, which might have differentiated them, were disappointing. Servings were too large for us but smaller dishes are not available. Our group tried an alligator appie, a seafood platter, crawfish, spring rolls and redfish - not one dish was better than average. Skip this place and look for something more authentic

Excellent food and large portions. Staff very attentive and ensured that you enjoyed the experience.

We hadn’t eaten all day and decided to exit the interstate and choose the first place we saw. It was a tie between Papadeux and a Whataburger. No offense to Whataburger, ‘cause they have great burgers, but Papadeux was absolutely the right choice, ‘Duh’, right? It’s pretty pricey, but both the food and service were excellent. I went with the server’s recommendations, and am glad I did.

My husband and I went to Papadeaux for for dinner on Valentine's Day "evening", it was crowded and they told us, "it was going to be a 45 minute wait", the staff asked for my cell number so they could text me when our table was ready, they did a great job, our wait was actually 20 minutes, while waiting we went to the bar for drinks, drinks were very good, we were seated we order drinks and an appetizer, service was speedy especially for the amount of customers they had, appetizer and french bread was fresh and fabulous, we ordered our meal, when it arrived it had great flavor, I would definitely go to this restaraunt again and would recommend to others!

Man was this a treat. Who would have thought that such authentic cajun seafood could be had in Austin, TX. I got two half orders of crawfish étouffée and shrimp and grits. Both were exceptional. We also had fried crawfish, fried alligator and crab bites for an appetizer. The drinks and service were great! Would definitely go back again - wish they would open one in Virginia!

Service was great. Food was okay, not sure if it was worth the $200 we spent. Steak was tasty but lobster was a little chewy. We had a great time with family from out of town. May come back and try something else on the menu.

My husband always enjoys the shrimp. Really delicious big baked potatoes and garden salad and hot bread. Very good fast service.

Best fish in Austin. The red snapper and lobster were so fresh. Staff was so nice. It’s kind of expensive but worth it

The service here is pretty good, but the tables are packed together too close. And it is LOUD in here; sound seems to be amplified by the wood floor, ceilings and walls. They need some materials that help dampen all the sound. The food is good, but they seem to lean toward fried stuff. The prices are a little high for what you get. I find it out to find french fries as the vegetable on a $25 plate. That seems more Long Silver's than pricey sit-down restaurant to me.

The atmosphere was really friendly and fun! The food most definitely did not disappoint. I received fast and excellent service.

Back for another conference. I wasn't really hungry, so I had a small cup of gumbo and some boudin. The boudin was great and was served with a horseradish sauce that had some zing. Had the prettiest waitress in the whole joint waiting on me too. Most of the stuff is a bit pricey but there are some good portions for your money.

The menu selections here are wonderful! There should be something for everyone's pallet. The combination plate is loaded with scrumptious seafood in several different species. The atmosphere is very inviting and the staff is prompt and serice sis great. I recommend it.

One of our favorite seafood places to enjoy a good meal in nice surroundings and attentive servers. The food is always fresh and plentiful.

We always enjoy eating at Papadeaux. Great fresh seafood, huge baked potatoes and wonderful salads along with hot bread.

I was by myself this trip and got right in. They put me in a nice booth. Service was fast I ordered 2 Crab Cakes, Superb! Great service excellent food, you can’t go wrong here.

We lived in Texas from 1990-1996 and this was always one of our favorite places to eat. Every time we return we go back to it and we are never disappointed. The service and food are both excellent!

I am unfairly giving it a 3/5 just because it was too much food and i wasn't that hungry, so I didn't get the chance to enjoy. However, the place is really nice and If I get a chance, i'll come back. MY buddy said his pina colada was the best he has ever tasted and he's from the Dominican Republic.

good menu selection, fresh tasty oysters, awesome fried dishes, good salad, service was ok but not great

When Papadeux began many years ago it was a smash! Now, with so many restaurants reinventing themselves, it seems to me that they keep serving the same dishes.... I agree that some must stay, but some might need to change.

I always wanted to come eat here but I was so disappointed I order the sea food platter and my fish didn't taste like much, the shrimps taste good but that's it. The drinks are ok but I didn't care for them much

nice decor inside, we were sit by a young lady server that left ( shift change) and we were waiting for somebody to come and take drinks and food order, ...after 10 minutes i asked somebody if they can help us ...then they senT an older lady that said sorry,my order took longer because it was taken wrong , i also asked for a small cup of soup while waiting for my food, it was warm almost cold, i didnt get to tell my server because she was never around ...we had to ask for more bread and drinks.... to me it looks like nobody was in charge of our table.........the check came as soon as we ask for it......not impressed with service at all.....this was on Sunday May 21st. we wont come back even though food was not bad....service WAS REALLY BAD.

We met today over a meal at Papadeaux and it was a good selection. The location is beautiful and the service is very professional. The menu is exhaustive and the food delicious.

We had dinner here since it was walking distance from our hotel. Very generous portions and the fish was very fresh and well prepared. Good value with tons of large groups.

Normally, I love this restaurant but not today. Our waitress was very attentive at first, but then just disappeared. We got the hostess to try and find her, but she couldn't. She assigned another waitress who helped us. Finally our waitress showed up - with the check. I don't know if the wait staff realizes how they can make or break an evening.
Small servings
We had an order of fried oysters and an order of fried shrimp. 7 oysters small to medium and 8 butterflied shrimp. Lots of fries. The bread was great. Take your banker with you when you go. We ate at same chain store in McAllen TX and same story: light on the seafood/heavy on the fries. I would not recommend .
