Always dependable

By E thomas H |

This is a very dependable restaurant with a very New Orleans feel. The creole dishes are always top notch and the red fish is as good as it gets.

Awesome seafood platter!!

By Alex S |

Had a great lunch, ordered the seafood platter. It was big cooked perfectly. More than I could eat. The waitress was very good, always on top of things.

Take a breath between your flights

By Rogelio Z |

This is my favorite restaurant in Houston Airport, let's you escape from the airport atmosphere and relax for a while. Even when you are in a hurry is a really good option, the way they cook the sea food is really tasty, they have a wide selection of beers and desserts are amazing.

Great food

By Nic0Mari |

I love this place to spend some time with the family - ambience and food are great. This time service was a little slow but usually is amazingly great. Live lobster and salmon are delicious. Nico

Good food

By BudSnow |

Friendly service and good food. Enjoyed the gumbo and a fresh seafood salad. They have a small but good selection of draft and bottled beer. There is a kids and to go menu.

Best at IAH

By db7477 |

Best restaurant in IAH (particularly if you're headed overseas) and are flying coach and wish to avoid airline options. Great Cajun seafood. Love the Alligator bites and Sea Bass. It's a bit pricey but beats the alternatives.

Bus lunch

long day respite

By Hank956 |

what a great place to relax and get a good meal. Always gumbo and calamari, with a side of garlic bread. this will serve two. The bowl is small but oh well. Travis was great today, ON POINT and never let my glass go down. great selection of menu items, great location in the terminal if you have time come visit and enjoy the food.

Pretty good food and service but not cheap

By guy_traveller |

We had lunch here on a stopover. The waiter was fantastic and the food was great. It is definitely a deluxe food experience - despite being in an airport.

Worth it!

By SkiingCPA |

I was feeling tired after a long day of meetings and almost hit the hotel restaurant instead of venturing out for something better - I'm very glad I decided otherwise. I chose to sit outside and enjoy the perfect evening temp and my waiter was new and not very knowledgeable, but the food was excellent. Having never tried redfish I asked him if it was similar to trout, he said he didn't know but he thought maybe it was - umm NO! I ordered the redfish pontchartrain, and LOVED IT! The redifish was a whitefish, very similar in flavor to a mahi mahi but lighter in texture, and the butter wine sauce was so good I even enjoyed a piece of bread to soak up the leftover. The lump crab meat and shrimp that topped the fish were also delicious. I chose to skip an appetizer and saved room for dessert, but the brownie was less than impressive. I think I should have had the oysters instead.

Papadeaux sux!

By keepmovin27 |

I have low expectations for airport food. Passing through IAH, two people recommended Papadeaux as the best food in the airport (one said it was one of the best in all of Houston). I'm really sorry, Houston!!! The crab mac and cheese had almost nonexistent crab, bland cheese, and a tasteless mass of pasta for the worst dining experience I've had in years. Service and decor were fine, but the food failed to meet even my low airport expectations. Do yourself a favor - eat at Mc-Jack-King or at the BBQ place close to Papadeaux (it smelled great) to save money and have a better meal.

Great Seafood

By Teresa V |

I love the lemon pepper shrimp! Black beans and rice you can get as a side dish😊 so good you won't be disappointed.

Consistent great food!

By VanessaKUSA |

I ate at both Papadeux restaurants on Westheimer during a weeklong Houston trip, including the original. They both were excellent in both food and service as well as those great Swamp Things. The original serves Garlic French Bread and that was an extra treat.

Delicious bites before delayed flights!!!

By Marcus J |

After my flight to London was delayed twice on Friday night, I desperately needed some comfort food in a hurry but could not risk missing my flight. The airport papadeaux are masters of this situation. They have a great choice of wonderful meat and seafood dishes that can be served in lass than 30 mins. And others in less than 15 mins. I went for a 15 minute option and ordered a Po boy sandwich with fried shrimp (king prawns) and a coke. I forgot this was Texas. It took me longer to eat even half this delicious sandwich than it took to get it served. So after a long hard week in Houston I boarded my delayed flight with a great sense of satisfaction and contentment. Thank you Papadeaux, you are definitely on my list for every future visit to Houston.

Beats any other airport food you can get here

By KCinAZ23 |

We had a 4 hour layover in Houston and took that opportunity to have dinner here. We got a dozen gulf oysters and they were as fresh as any we have had. My husband got the crawfish etouffee and said it was delicious. I had the grilled shrimp ceasar with the shrimp blackened, excellent. We also had an order of the pillowy soft, fragrant garlic bread. (carb heaven) Service was excellent. Only reason I don't give it 5 starts is the atmosphere - very loud.

Daddy's Birthday Dinner

By Brigette A |

all of us throughly enjoyed our meal. We had an awesome server I think his name was Caleb.. thank you our favorite restaurant in Stafford Tx..

Good Seafood BUT Noisy

By JMD_930 |

This place can really pack in the customers. It's very popular and it's easy to understand as the food really is good. We enjoy taking out of town guests to the restaurant on FM1960 at Willowbrook, but it is always so crowded on weekends. It is also very noisy.

GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE

By PastorWoody |

Papadeux's is one of the best dinners we have had in a very long time the food was fresh and delicious the waiter was top notch and anyone that gets a chance to eat at a papadeux's eatery don't miss it I've ate at several in different locations in my travel experiences and have never regretted it

Pappadeaux rocks!

By Jimmy V |

Food is always great. Service is always great. Parking is abundant. My favorite item on the menu is the lobster/shrimp salad. It's served with a citrus dressing. It's a huge salad. It goes great with a bowl of gumbo. However everything on their menu is fantastic!

Good food in Hobby airport

By utfiero |

Good food in Hobby airport. Food: Had the crawfish bisque and a drink. The bisque was good but had a “skin” on the top, probably from delayed serving of the soup. But this is an airport restaurant that is super busy. And the bisque has a good flavor and several crawfish tails. My only complaint is the lack of complimentary bread. What restaurant serves soup without even a slice of bread? Drinks: super-efficient bartenders. Had an Old Fashioned with Buffalo Trace bourbon. Service: Fast, efficient service at the bar. Overall cleanliness: above average for an airport restaurant

Wonderful food and service

By SAM A |

I was at the Papadeaux Restaurant in the Bedford, TX area, and it is excellent! The food is great, the service is wonderful. They have a great wine and beer selection. I have food allergies, and the manager made a point of talking to me about what to eat and what to avoid - and altered a selection to suit me. Lovely meal.

wow

By teetawzk |

this is AWESOME the menu the flavor the service i am craving it right now.the crawfish redfish other seafood ..first class

YUM!

By annarc6 |

I only get to Houston once a year, but my first stop is always Pappadeuxs. Everything you order is the best you have ever tasted--the bread, the margaritas, the oysters, the catfish, the desserts! Yes, I had to forget my New Year's resolution to eat less, but in this case more is better! The gumbo too is to die for--I plan to get some of that at at restaurant at the airport (that is why I go early)! This place is SO good that it is al its worth the cost of flying here for dinner!

Good meal, expeditiously cooked & served

By 78209Hungry_Dad |

During a 2-hour layover at DFW we decided to eat supper. Down the elevator we went to an old Texas favorite. Expensive meal, even by airport standards. Bottled beer was $7. My companion's fruity cocktail ran $12. Nevertheless, service was friendly and fast. Food was delicious. I devoured a massive crab and shrimp Cobb salad. My companion LOVED her shrimp and crayfish fondue. One disappointment: at normal pappadeaux diners enjoy a basket of wonderful baked bread with each meal. The airport location does not offer that. We spent about $86 total w/ tip, but I sure didn't leave hungry.

Decent Cajun

By JimPetry22 |

Ive been here 6 times in the past few years, and I have to say that 3 of the times it was amazing, and the other 3 was mediocre at best. One time in particular it took over 45 minutes for the food to come out, and it was wrong as well. Instead of a manager coming to the table, the server said that the food has been taken off the bill. Another time my fish was cold. Service is always great, food can be hit or miss for me. I found the best service sitting at the bar.

Great food while taking next flight

By MALECR2014 |

Never in for junk food yet hungry and few hours for next flight? This is an excellent option at Houston or Dallas airports. Try salmon or seabass

Flavor of the south

By Elias Z |

Great place for seafood, spiced and seasoned to perfection. If you can't get to NOLA this is an excellent alternative. Try the sampler dish.

Great Bar

By jbourda |

Hello friends...just stopped at Pappadeaux's at Terminal E...Christie was awesome bartender..shrimp & crawfish fondue was sooooo delicious ..will be back soon

Best airport food ever

By John K |

During layover I noticed this upscale restaurant inside the Houston airport. I sat at the bar and ordered a beer and lobster combo plate. Food, service and atmosphere was outstanding, especially for an airport setting.

A Nice Airport Oasis

By Jay B |

This restaurant offers more than most airport establishments. They have a hostess station to assist with seating and there are lots of spacious booths and tables, many with room to keep your carry on luggage close and safe. They also have quite a bit of seating around the bar. The menu is quite expansive with numerous appetizers, cocktails, entrees and deserts. Our service was prompt and courteous. This is a really good spot to kill time between flights and enjoy good food and drinks. They are located near Gate 42.

Good food and fare

By BOFA BOY |

Went with a couple recently and was impressed with the choice is seafood on offer at the restaurant. The service was very good as well. Enjoyed the food on offer but not quite enough to give the restaurant a five star rating.

Great food and service!

By Stephanie W |

We loved the food so much that we ate here twice during our week visit. The server we had was very personable and able to help us make a decision from their large menu.

Fried fish and pudding

By vols94 |

Another business dinner to get some local flavor. Big restaurant great for large groups. Wait staff very friendly and knowledgeable. I had the seafood platter all fried. A little heavy but delicious. Topped it off with the banana pudding.

Delicious seafood

By Kristin |

Stranded in IAH by a tropical storm, I actually ate here twice in 24 hours. It was very good both times. First I had the Shrimp and Scallop pasta, which included a generous amount of jumbo lump crab and some asparagus. Delicious. My only complaint is that there was too much of the very rich cream sauce, half would have been enough. Next day I had Cobb salad with shrimp and crab, also delicious. Lots of hard boiled egg, shrimp, lump crab, bacon and avocado. modest amount of lettuce hidden underneath. Generous portions.

Excellent!

By HaDa_CGN |

If you just want to have good Seafood in Houston Airport to a reasonable price, this is the restaurant to go. Typical friendly Service, absolute tasty. Warm recommendation: Cesar Salat as a starter and Sushi as main course. Good white wines per Glas are also available. Just: đŸ‘đŸŒđŸ‘đŸŒ

Different but Delicious

By HawaiiLife96707 |

In Hawaii we find reptiles in the zoo, so our dining experience at Papadeaux was rather interesting but was quite a delight. We decided to be adventurous and ordered deep fried gator and frog legs. We also ordered a cajun shrimp cocktail, which was also very tasteful. But my favorite was the deep fried gator.

Great food as always

By FreqTraveler831 |

If you haven't had the opportunity to visit a Papadeaux and enjoy Louisiana style food. I would highly recommend that you try Papadeaux. They are a small chain restaurant located mostly in the Southwest. However they are expanding into other regions. I have ate at several locations and they are very consistent always good. The gumbo is outstanding and the seafood fantastic.

Best Restaurant at IHA Houston Airport

By Mark H |

Papadeux presents excellent Gulf Coast seafood in a warm environment with fast and friendly service. The upstairs location with wood trim and lively bar transports you from the sterile airport and provides a refreshing oasis. The cherry on the sundae is the full bar with excellent wine and beer selections. My favorite are the crab cakes; you can order one, two or three. For me, two is an excellent lunch portion. There servers are attentive and friendly and make you feel at home. I have traveled around the world, and I always look forward to Papadeux, one of the best airport restaurants and waterhole, when traveling through Houston.

Average Grossly Overpriced Food!

By The World is My Oyster |

Obviously, this is the airport, but $70 for a small portion of Mac & Crab, a chicken salad and two local draft beers is outrageous! The mac and crab was over salted and so greasy. I'll never go back there again!

Best place to eat at IAH

By Nic0Mari |

If you are traveling via or from IAH, this is the best spot to eat inside terminal E! Great food and the staff is really friendly and always there to help! Try the fried alligator, really a nice starter :-) Enjoy!

Great experience

By Chris H |

If you're coming to Houston this is a must stop place. I'd highly recommend it to anyone that wants some good food in Houston.

Great seafood

By Michael B |

Excellent place for quality and classy seafood, try the oysters on the halfshell, the Redfish is also great.

Yum, Just Yum

By ZincPenny |

Had some time in the Houston airport and decided to try this restaurant. I am so glad we did. The food was Amazing. I had the Oyster combo and my husband had the gator. Both were fabulous! Was the best food I have ever had in an airport. If you love seafood then this is a place to eat.

Jambalaya on the Bayou

By Gonzalo T |

Although I had my reserves on this one, knowing the Pappas Bros. for their excellence as a steakhouse, I was surprised specially with the Gumbo and the crabcakes.

Excellent celection

By hebnerdo |

Food was good. Will return Restaurant was very busy which caused us to wait a bit.. food was very goid.

Seafood wins

Awesome place for seafood! Have tried seafood everywhere but this place tops them all! Best there is!

Great place for special occations

By JTOWN2014 |

I went there with my wife and in-laws for my sister-in-laws 70th birthday. It was a great choice of restaurants! The food was amazing even for a sort of chain restaurant. The staff was exceptional, and the atmosphere was was very comfortable and relaxing. The only down side I could see about this restaurant is that the music coming out of the bar was very loud, otherwise it was a good experience, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Stuffed Lobster & Swamp Thang

By PeaceandJoy45 |

The seafood dressing stuffed lobster was superb and the frozen drink called a Swamp Thang was just as delicious.

EXCELLENT FOOD

By shjaan72 |

Had hour and ate an amazing meal; service was great Food was served quickly, I did not have to rush and was able to enjoy my meal

Never a bad meal here

By Sandra P |

Papadeaux oysters are fresh and tasty so it is the fondue with baked chesse garlic bread. Bari the waitress was bubly and helpful, it was a great moment.

Good food at the airport!

By Tom A |

I have always loved Papadeaux, and they have great food, same as their restaurants at the airport. Try the gumbo and maybe the fresh fish tacos Cajun style.

Make time when you fly in/out of IAH

By Lee |

Papadeaux at IAH is fantastic. Not your typical airport restaurant. Located above terminal with easy access. The food is outstanding and service is fast. I make a point to eat there whether I am flying into our out of IAH.

Superb!

By Moestiekje |

I worked at an international airport for 25 years and I've been around the world. To my experience, Papadeaux is the best airport restaurant I ever visited. Superb food, interesting menu with a lot of choice (I seem to remember they even serve crocodile), nice atmosphere. It even doesn't feel like an airport. Only too bad this is so far away from home.

For an airport restaurant, this place is a gem

By Ed K |

Great selection of food and drinks at this place. The servers (Mariela) were awesome - friendly and social, and managed to keep the bar moving at a quick pace. Good was great, The Pepper Crusted Ahi Tuna was very flavorful. Pinot Grigio was a Mezzacorona, light and crisp. An excellent place to stop in while awaiting your flight.

Lobster and more lobster

By wayneb1954 |

We had a 2 hour wait for the flight and decided to try out the fine dining in Terminal E. The experience at Papadeauxs was perfect. The server was a charm and very efficient. The lobsters, a 3 pound from Maine and a 1-1/2 pound from the carribean were perfect.

Amazing seafood

By Cpharris21 |

Had the Lobster bisque and the Baked Cod. The best fish I have ever had and I eat a lot of fish mostly only in Coastal towns.

awesome gumbo!

By tony c |

Service was great, atmosphere was cool. I had the gumbo and it was some of the best around. It was full of seafood and sausage. my drink never got below half a glass

Great food especially at an airport

By Charles V |

We had the opportunity to dine here durknour last flight and what a treat to have a true quality restaurant to sit down relax and enjoy while at an airport. Fresh fish was fantastic

Just what I ordered

By BradJack |

For my tastes, this place has great cajun seafood. I especially love the crawfish platter, but have had several other entrees, which have never been less than excellent. The atmosphere is a little noisy, so if you want to have a business conversation, you will need to speak loudly, but it is worth going there for the food.

Best of the Best

By Derrick N |

Enjoyed lunch at the Airport. Enjoyed the shrimp salad. All the reviewers were spot on. It was wonderful.

Good seafood at a price

By DGieskens |

Upon entering this restaurant it looked more or less like a typical restaurant, as I had seen several during my visit in Houston. However, waiters did seem to have a bit more 'style' than in most. The first positive surprise came when taking orders. I tried my usual 'surprise me' and although my colleague/host tried to apologize and started looking for suggestions on the menu, the waiter smiled and said he was happy to do so (In most other restaurants I had been to that week, I had received mixed reactions on such a request, at one time the waitress even froze as if in shock not knowing how to deal with such a request). Unfortunately, they didn't have tuna that day, which was a slight disappointment as I had seen a very nice tuna starter on the menu. At the suggestion of my host they served oysters as my starter. The oysters were ok, but not spectacular. The main dish was a white fish (I forgot its English name), served with a nice (not too much) sauce, and brussels sprouts. The taste combination of this dish was quite good and I was positively impressed. The fish was prepared well. In summary it tasted as a dish should taste in an upscale restaurant. I was invited and didn't need to pay the bill, but I did get a glance and $180 for three people (and we didn't have any expensive wine) is not cheap, but then again it is probably worth the money, considering how it tasted.

Favourite restaurant in Houston airport

By Christiana A |

Although this is my first review of Papadeaux, it has been my favourite restaurant at IAH for the last 10 years. Consistently good food and service. On this visit, four of us shared some fresh gulf coast oysters, a shrimp sushi roll and I could not resist the crab Mac and cheese which was absolutely decadent. My mom’s main course was omitted when the items were delivered to the table. The exceptional customer service was demonstrated by both our waiter and the manager who both apologized and offered her a soup or salad while her meal was being prepared. She chose the shrimp gumbo and loved it. Her red fish and shrimp dish came hot to the table but she was unable to make a dent as she was full so we took away the meal. We shared it for lunch the next day and the fish was moist and the pumpkin risotto it was served with was still delicious. Highly recommend. I also could not touch my shrimp Po boy after my sizeable appetizer. The portions were so abundant that my friend also took away most of her steak. Another friend had the salmon burger which was also moist and cooked just right. My friends had 2 rounds of shiner bock beer which they loved, I had the lemonade which had the right amount of tang. Overall a great place to kill time while waiting for a flight, with delicious food and good service.

Parking Lot Nightmare

By Dustoff81 |

The food at Papadeaux and it's brother Pappasito's Cantina next door is very good and we enjoy going to either every time we get to Atlanta but this may be the last time we risk our lives and insurance premiums just to eat. I am writing this review because until people start complaining in a loud voice, management will not fix the issue. The parking lots for both of these co-owned restaurants are shared with only one true way to get in or out. The net effect is that from 4pm till past 8pm it is nearly gridlock. The issue is the steepness of the exit and a red light that is biased to Windy Hill Road as it should be. Cars are often sued up to get in because people are so anxious to exit they don't leave room to turn into the parking lanes hence you can't get in and they can only exit at a dribble. To make thing worse the back way that some of us is just as bad and will be a lot worse when the new apartments/condos are finished behind the restauraunts that will also share the parking lot. I am sorry but I don't need the frustration.

Excellent food as always

By VanessaKUSA |

This place is pretty consistent no matter which one you chose. We ate at the one off IH10 near the tollway. The service and food was outstanding. As usual with most of these restaurants on a Friday night, we had a wait. I liked the cell phone text rather than buzzers and the food and service was well worth the wait.

Excellent, as usual.

By Ramil |

The best food in IAH hands down. I have never had any complaints regarding anything. Will definitely be back.

Good food & quick service

By SouthernVoiceBiloxi |

We were concerned with taking a sit down meal between flights but this place has that covered. We were served our food within 12-15 minutes of sitting down. The food was good with a full menu, the wait staff friendly and prompt.

Hobby Airport Papadeaux

By Wayne A |

We have eaten at Papadeaux’s at IAH but never at Hobby Airport. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. My wife had the salad with chicken. It was very copious and quite delicious. The ingredients included chopped egg, Romaine lettuce and multiple other veggies. I had the salmon sandwich with fries. Both of us asked for containers to carry away the portion we couldn’t eat and then consumed the rest during our 4 hour flight to our final destination. The server was very attentive, filling our water glasses and asking if we needed anything more.

Great Example of the Papadeaux Chain!

By Traveling_Lady_2004 |

This resturant is located in the International Terminal upstairs. The food is very good, it has the southern taste and seasoning. Staff is attentive and helpful in making selections, if you have never visited a Papadeaux resturant in Houston. Prices are a little above average, but remember this is a bit upscale airport resturant. I would reccomemed visiting when you have a layover or long connection at IAH.

was expecting more from the "best in the airport" restaurant

By Pirer Panda |

Well... they bought me the wrong dish but at least they didn't charge it (after I complained) that's why I'm not rating two stars. Service was slow (to be in an airport) but nice, the appetizer arrived after the main dish; main dish was good (don't know what it was) and portion was big enough for an adult. The appetizer, Maryland crab cakes were too salty. A guy taking away dishes from other table splashed me with water and didn't even apologized... it's a shame, two years ago this place was amazing.

Lunchtime solo date

By Nextchap18 |

What a beautiful location. The service was excellent and prompt. The food was spectacular, and they had very large portions, so come hungry and ready to eat. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. I’ll definitely return next time I’m in town. Thank you.

Wow. This isn't airport food. Yum.

By Nancy G |

I travel all over the world and unfortunately have to eat in airports all too often. But this was a real treat. Outstanding seafood, particularly liked the coconut shrimp. Really awesome. Relatively expensive, but worth it.

Incredible food

By Kevy Kay |

The foooooooooodddddd!!! I can’t stress enough how awesome the food at this restaurant is. The staff was friendly and their service was quick but the fooodddddd... it was definitely awesome! It’s a must try!!!đŸ”„đŸ”„đŸ”„

Really fresh seafood—but buried in salt.

By Jan W |

The fish was truly fresh and the servings generous, but oh the salt! It wasn't until I scraped off some of the seasonings that I could actually taste the excellent catfish prepared with shrimp and oysters (and supposedly lump crabmeat, but I couldn't find that at all). The side of dirty rice, where the flavor probably should have been, was bland—and the lemon garlic butter seemed like an afterthought that was pooled on one side of the plate. The super-salt problem was equally there with the redfish Pontchartrain. Plating of the dishes was sloppy. We shared a dessert of sweet potato pecan pie with vanilla ice cream—and why, if you have ice cream is it necessary to then over-do with whipped topping? The crust was good, the filling meh. Our server, Jonah, was terrific—attentive and efficient as well as warm and friendly. Ambience for an airport restaurant is pleasant. I wish I could give this place higher grades because real effort appears to go into maintaining the freshness of the food—but unless the chef can use his salt shaker a little less aggressively, I'd be hard-pressed to give more praise.

Delicious

By Karime L |

We arrived without a reservation and waited for about 20 min to get in. It was definitely worth it! The food is excellent and so is the service.

Amazing Food!

By Ruth G |

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful and leisurely lunch here before our flight overseas. I never expected such outstanding service and delicious food! My catfish was hot and crispy, our salads were icy cold and delish, and my husband's gumbo heavenly. I cannot say enough about the professional wait staff. Swiftly filling our water glasses and seeing to every request. Just an amazing visit! Will definitely eat here again. Bravo!

really good service even while they were so busy.

By smatthews8473 |

we think the best bet is to sit at the bar. the people behind the bar are efficient and fast. you can sit there and watch the people coming in and out for drinks and food as they arrive from a flight or run out to catch one.

Great food and service

By conniej238 |

We stopped to eat at Papadeaux’s in terminal D prior to heading out of the country and were not disappointed! The seafood platter and seafood bisque was very good and fresh. Our waitress, GG, was very attentive and competent. When we come back into the country this will be our first stop for a meal. Keep up the excellent service and great food Papadeaux’s!!

Delicious! New Moroccan Salmon Dish is a GO

By dapperwolf |

Friendly staff and delicious fresh fish. I tried the new Moroccan salmon dish and ate every bite of it. This food makes me happy

Clearly if you love seafood this place is a must!

By Mike C |

I have traveled through out North America and the globe and by far Papadeaux is the best for freshly done seafood, large portions and done to perfection.

Pricey small portions

By dlion88 |

I had a Mahi at Pappas at IAH. This was the only real restaurant available in bonded waiting area. Food was tasty, but pricey and small. Place was very busy.

Lil bit of Louisiana

By Charles V |

Food was great and the setting still cool after all these years. Pricing was as expected really the only shortfall-was service a bit off, slow, and frankly uncaring. Will try again but not up to Papas standards.

The one in Atlanta, Ga is magnificent!

By Candy F |

I don't know why the location is not on trip advisory, but atalanta Ga is magnificent! Great service food was so tasty the desserts melted in your mouth, thier banana pudding comes in a Mason jar you get to keep! Our atlanta trip was great with the last stop being at this wonderful restaurant. We will be back!

Great Restaurant at the Airport

By WorldTrvlr13 |

If you can't have BBQ in Texas then go for the seafood and Papadeaux is the place to go. This restaurant is located in the United domestic terminal. It is on the second floor but there is an elevator with room for all your carry-ons. If you miss the big sign look for the huge billfish on the wall! The waiting area is a little crowded at times but the people are moving through rather quickly. Our wait was only about 10 minutes on a Sunday and it was lunch time. We were seated with menus and drink orders were taken immediately. We all had different items: calamari, salads, and coconut shrimp. The service was very good. My shrimp were really prawns that had a wonderful coconut crispy coating yet the meat was tender inside. The mango sauce that's used for dipping was mouth watering. The prices were actually very cheap for airport prices. I enjoyed my meal very much and will be back when flying south through Houston.

AMAZEBALLS

By Beana_23 |

The food was so delicious, it was so hard to make a choice for dinner. The staff was very nice and helpful. The food came fast and it was hot. The were very accommodating as well, we wanted to watch a basketball game on TV and they happily obliged. I look forward to eating there again.

Great Food at the Airport!

By Ken Q |

Finally, a great restaurant to enjoy at an airport. We enjoyed dinner here while on our way to Peru.

Decent option at the airport

By TomM1951 |

Getting a meal at an airport can be a tricky proposition. I never want to have a full, heavy meal, but its nice to have something reasonably tasty. While Papadoux's specializes in fried seafood meals, which can feel very heavy when flying, we found some good smaller options. The item I especially recommend is the seafood/Andouille gumbo. It is extremely flavor and reasonably filling. My wife had the seafood gumbo without the sausage, and it was still good, but not as tasty. The Caesar salad was just okay. One element that was very positive was the service. Many airport restaurants seem to forget that their customers have planes to catch. Our server immediately asked us what time our flight was due, and our food came very quickly.

Must stop at Houston Airport

By Powellbutte |

I have eaten a several Papdeaux's in Texas, This is my go to place when I travel thru Houston, The restaurant in Houston Airport does not have as an extensive menu as the other restaurants but what they have is awesome, if you like Cajun style seafood this is the place to visit.

Significant improvement

By Fornebu |

Visited here many times over years, on my long way back from Texas. My recent visit for late lunch was a very positive surprise, the service in particular was become professional and efficient (which was not the case some years ago). The food was superb. I has hand tossed cocktail, shrimps and cheese cake (too much food for sure) that all tasted good and were presented in a good way. Bravo!

Delicious food, great experience

By CuraTravel85 |

We had our dinner here before taking our flight. The food was delicious! One of the best meals we had during our Houston/ Las Vegas trip! We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Sinfully Delicious

Had a really beautiful time with my cousin yesterday. The food, service and ambience was great and the band played some really nice songs. Was trying to get a taste of Texas... Who knew Seafood could be this great thought Texas was a steak place...

5 lb lobster

By artibear |

everytime in houston this is a must stop. staff always pleasant, place is always clean and of course food is never a disappointment. last week I enjoyed a fresh 5 lb lobster. brought to me alive to inspect prior to his demise. truly the culinary leader for seal dwelling cuisine.

SPLENDID

By Kim |

First time visit - WILL visit again. Heard so much about Papadeaux. Our group had seafood, chicken, grits, salad and NO COMPLAINTS, just smiles. Desert was taken to go and it was perfect to relax to. Food was wonderful. Waiter was a delight.

Outstanding seafood at a moderate price

By Sergio R |

Travel through the Houston airport is a pleasure if we have time to eat at this great restaurant. Anything you order will be good.

Bring these restaurants to the Northeast!

By Stefano |

One of my favorite places to eat when I come to Houston. Cajun style food that is consistently good and fresh. Service is always great as well. Only gripe, wish we had these back home in the Northeast!

Cajun Joy

By Sartain44 |

The best airport restaurant I know. Fabulous ice cold Oysters. the best Gulf Os I have had. Waiters, bar servers, timing of service totally make one pinch oneself that this is an airport experience. Have for years scheduled flights to include Papadeaux. Seafood salads desserts are just perfect. Totally energizes any xcountry adventure and remarkably improves the otherwise exascerbating ordeal of flying today. Bravo.

The best possible treat during a long layover!

By Anna B |

I ordered the redfish with butternut squash risotto. This dish is hands down my reason for going to a different terminal and paying $50 for my dinner (if you include the glass of wine). The creamy sauce is divine.

Once again a success!!!!

By Gerardo U |

After a year, i can assure Papadeaux continue to have great food and quality. The Alexander Salmon and Shrimp was delicious. Restaurant full and no reservations are taken. Be patient, you will not regret!!! 😋😋😋

What? No gumbo at all?

By Dara50 |

Came in at 20:30 on a Tuesday night. They serve 3 types of gumbo and had none to serve. The restaurant specializes in New Orleans cuisine. It's like going to a steakhouse and finding out they have no steak what so ever. Ended up with lobster bisque which was tasty. Portions are on the small side. Didn't fill up until ordering a salad and splitting a main course. Didn't see fresh oysters on the half shell on the menu but at the bar. Tried to order an Irish coffee but they were out of whipped cream. No whipped cream with an impressive bar like that.

Went there for my birthday celabration. ALWAYS love cajun food. Live in Iowa and we have NO good cajun food.

By Scott D |

Love anything about Cajun food. Had the Seafood plate. had fried aligator and crawdifish as an apetizer. Every one from our wait staff to the manager was AWESOME

Airport Food ?

By Randyman |

We all know Airport food can be awful, but Papadeaux to the rescue. It's not fine dining, just darn good food. I always plan a small layover when flying thru, just to grab a bite here. Great Cajun food and much more. Try it and you'll be a fan.

Absolutely Delicious!

By Carlos A |

the food and service here are great, perfect now that airlines don't give you food. The crawfish étouffée is delicious and any of the soups will make you happy.

Mouth Watering!

By Blackjenie |

I love when I have long layovers in Houston. I get to eat at Papadeaux. This is the seafood on the map, they have never disappointed me. I’ve never had one bad thing any this restaurant, at any of there locations. My absolute favorite is the shrimp etouffee. It’s sooooo good!

Fly Me to Pappadeaux

By BayTwo |

This is NOT typical airport food, it's a fine dining restaurant located in an airport and is consistently very good as is typical of Pappas restaurants. After the rush to get to the airport and the other hassles of flying, this is our favorite place to "start our vacation" when we fly out of Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. A seafood restaurant with a Louisiana Cajun flare, the flavorful entrees can be large enough to split between two, there's a good wine selection, the bread is excellent and the service is accommodating. If you're in a hurry they can get you out quickly, but we like to arrive at IAH early enough to slip into two chairs in this Southern genteel décor and begin with two glasses of champagne to toast .... ahhh .... we're on vacation.

Atypical

By Twintravler |

We have eaten at Pappadeaux's three times before and liked it a lot. Tonight my wife's Chilean Sea Bass ( Patagonian Toothfish) was delicious. However, the Grand Bay seafood was disappointing. They substituted cooked spinach for green beans and potatoes without telling me. I noticed. There was no lump crab on the crab cake. The scallops were undercooked and the shrimp and crab cakes were not hot.

Great fresh food! Gluten free menu!

By Thrifty Pilot W |

I had a gluten free menu and ordered lovster and shrimp salad with mangos and cashews! Fresh. Delicious! So if you were at the airport in Euston be sure to stop by for some great fresh food!

One of my favorite chain seafood restaurants

By Robert F |

Visit Papadeaux's anytime I am in a city with one. The food is well prepared. Atmosphere is usually active with great people watching from the bar. Good variety on the Menu.

Just for killing time fill the stomach

By Jouni V |

I went to this restaurant while I was in transit and because UA lounge was under a renovation. Absolutely the best part of the restaurant was the service and that's about it. Bartender was great guy. Food I chose Shrimps and Cajun chicken (junk) was so, so - bugs me when everything is battered,... I mean everything,... Shrimps, chicken,... And rest - I was really wondering where was was Cajun part,... Other sea food I cannot tell anything about but this experience made me visit in this place three times with a one go - First, Last and The Only One,... Price quality ratio not so good. This place just for killing time and filling your stomach.

Lunch

By JLHogan |

One of the best air port restaurants in the U.S. Very relaxing, above average seafood try the scallops and service, why wait at the gate.

Good food, could be better

By Jai Padmanabhan |

Visited this restaurant located in Terminal E of the George Bush International Airport in Houston, TX. Ordered the Calamari ($16.99) and the Maryland lump crab cake ($15.99). The calamari was ok, most of it being soggy. The crab cake was very good. Service could be better. Very few customers and a lot of wait staff who were hanging around. Would certainly go back for the crab cake.

#BOTPW 2019

Still great as the last time we visited this location in 2017. Ask for the special catch of the day. You won’t be disappointed!

Delicious seafood

By CGuadarrama |

I really enjoy this type of food. I had a wonderful dinner here. If you like sea food, anything you ask, most likely you are going to like it.

Absolutely Great Seafood!!

By JAMES T |

What ever you do .... when there is a Papadeaux Restaurant near, "DO NOT MISS AN AWESOME DINING EXPERIENCE"!! Anytime Papadeaux(s) is in the city I am visiting, I will go out-of-the-way to make sure an enjoyable time is had.

Presentation of food artistic, food fantastic!

By Jean B |

Wait staff friendly and yet professional, prompt service. We had a private room, as it was a business dinner, and enjoyed good food, nice room temperature throughout the meal, and delicious appetizers, including alligator!

Good Cajun seafood at the airport

By Goriders99 |

We had a 3 hour layover at IAH and having missed lunch we had a late afternoon dinner. Service was fast, I had a blackened crawfish meal at the recommendation of the waiter. I didn't want the étouffée or the deep fried crawfish that were on the menu so our waiter said they could prepare it as a blackened dish. It was great. My colleague had the sampler plater and enjoyed it. They have a good selection of wines. We passed on desert as the meal portions were large the deserts were fairly standard cheese cake etc.. The only strange thing was that you have to leave the restaurant to find a wash room. It is a pricey option for an airport but worth it once in a while.

Delicious

By rdenton33 |

Iv been to two of their locations in Houston, the one in hobby and the one of I10. Both are great. The one off 10 has a great atmosphere and an awesome menu..try the texas redfish on risotto topped with crab meat..nuff said. As for the airport do the shrimp po boy ask for extra sauce on side

Nice place to enjoy seafood

By Luken M |

great and complete menus of seafood with affordable price. The room and table are big enough to have dinner with all of your family and friends. the atmosphere are quiet and cozy

Great restaurant

By 747gail |

Went to the branch in downtown Houston. My husband wanted to go to pappas steak house but it was too upscale for the ballpark clothes I had brought with me. This is owned by the same people and was a casual alternative. Great seafood. My husband also enjoyed his steak very much. Close to Minute Maid and convention center.

If a Better Airport Restaurant Exists I Don't Want to Know About IT!

By Anna E |

Attention all lovers of seafood. You will not find a better dining experience than at Papadeaux's in the Houston International Airport (IAH). I have dined at many other top seafood restaurant brands. From the freshest oysters on the half shell, and the shrimp & crab meat cocktail for starters to the Gumbo and Crawfish/Shrimp Etouffee with dirty rice entrees, and its generous wine servings, Papadeaux's will have you scheduling trips just to have a layover at IAH! Delicious, delicious, and did I say delicious? + Affordable.

Wow seafood

By eric j |

This is a very good concept inside the airport terminal E, the seafood is really good, you can combined several plates including lobster, we liked it at all

Service and Food

By Debarwood |

I visited Papaxeaux with my cousin and this place was incredible from the cheerful greetings at the entrance, excellent waitress and the wonderful food to the smiling goodbyes as we left. I had the Seafood Fondeau for appetizer and it was fabulous. We also had coconut shrimp that was so crisp and tasty. Much more than I could eat but the leftovers were great the next day. Everyone was so very friendly and nice. Service was excellent. I definitely recommend this place. It has easy to get in and out of parking in the rear also. I Love this place!

Awesome

By CJAYNFAMILY |

We have eaten here plenty of times finally reviewing the food is great love the seafood every time we visit we always stop here they are always pack and busy but it is well worth the wait

Best baked potato in the world!

By humbertus o |

Lovely seafood and BEST BAKED POTATO ON EARTH! I recommend you order a Fried crab claw with baked potato or a Fried shrimp with baked potato.

Excellent.

By Ramil |

Probably the best restaurant at Bush airport. Consistently excellent food and great service. Will be back.

Soft shell crabs pan fried

By Stephanie1178 |

This place is the only place that has large fresh soft shell crabs. Don't order them breaded, pan fried is delicious. Plan my flights around this great spot. All the fish is extremely fresh but I favor their soft shell.

Good airport food

By huntertwinkle |

Been to many papadeaux restaurants, this airport branch is just as good as the others. Service was fast & of course the tasty yummy food. We had the shrimp gumbo, prawn & lobster cocktail, mixed seafood platter.

Nice TexMex

By Michael C |

Hey nice Tex Mex restaurant. Service and product always good. Never had a bad meal there and have visited several times.

Best Seafood Period!

By SaleemMusallam |

if you have any decent layover; you have to come try there food. the Crab cake is out of this world. I usually like to get it with blackened Seabass, Halibut or Mahi ( whatever is in season). Fish is wild caught and prepared just right!

Avoid

By Paul B |

I remember when Papadeaux was the go to place. No more. Lots of fried food; overwhelming volumes of chips and salads and dressings that just are not fresh. Why does everyone serve gloppy dressings; what's wrong with good olive oil and vinegar or even lemon. Houston offers lots of fish restaurants so avoid Papadeaux and find a good place. The price at Papadeaux is as much as it is in a good fish restaurant. Additionally, the restaurants are large so the noise level is over the top.

A wonderful place to eat!

By GoldiFlorida |

We got stuck in the airport for 3 hours and a United employee told us about this restaurant. What a pleasant surprise! The ambiance, service, and food made me forget we were in an airport. I highly recommend this place.

Great seafood but service is OK.

By Gloria M |

We have been going there weekly for years. The food is top notch. They are very creative with there dishes. The food is always superb. It is always packed and you will probably have to wait at night. The food is always very consistent but the service is questionable. We go there for the food but expectations for service is not too high. When it comes to food the Pappas family always gets it right. Very noisy environment. It is very family friendly. They can handle large groups. Be prepared to wait awhile.

Plate Lickin Good!

By Bill V |

I can't recall a better airport meal than Pappadeaux's redfish with giant shrimp, draft Bock and red wine. It was good that my wife ordered the same dish too because she usually hates it when I lick the plate . . .(but at Pappadeaux's she was tempted too)! The restaurant is located on the second floor of the United Domestic Terminal. There was a crowd when we arrived at the entrance but the service was excellent and we didn't have to wait very long before we were seated, given a menu and had an opportunity to order drinks. I was impressed with all of the selections on the Chef's Menu. The wait service was prompt and effective. We had an excellent meal at a reasonable price, enjoyed ourselves and had plenty of time to get to our gate.

What a Treat!

By josanpu |

What a great airport restuarant! Location is perfect - with warm ambience and fast, friendly service. I've eatent there twice, so far, first having oysters - (delicious, fresh) - and then the excellent lunch buffet last time. I usually don't care for catfish, but theirs was delicious, fried in a light cruncy crust. With Ceasar salad, large peel & eat shrimp, gumbo, and vegetable options, (plus much more), you can't beat it! Don't forget a piece of pie for the plane. Oh, yeah.

Best airport restaurant I have ever been to

By Anne-Christine R |

Located in Terminal E, this is one of the best restaurant I have ever been in an airport. Other big US cities have pretty poor restaurants in their airports. Service is really friendly, atmosphere is nice and is like a 'normal' restaurant. Seafood and fish are on the menu. Nice crab cakes!

Sunday lunch with my wife

By Jorge Ostap |

Good food. Nice people family oriented on a Sunday lunch We sat at the bar and bartenders very kind. Fast service Food was very decent presented Gumbo was superb !!!

Airport Stopover

By jaybeeFL |

Had a 2 hour layover at dinner hour and decided to give Pappadeaux a try--glad we did. The seafood gumbo was a pure Louisiana taste treat, loaded with shrimp, shellfish and spicy broth. The chopped salad was huge, loaded with avocado, egg, cheese, tomatoes, on a large bed of fresh crisp greens. Service was a bit slow but the place was very busy. Obviously travelers who transit IAH have discovered this place and for good reason!

Wonderful

By Fdrl L |

Wonderful, the fried shrimp with fries and the catfish fillets are great. We sat at the bar, Matthew is wonderful and the manager jay is great. Matthew is informative and educational about menu and drinks. Jay came to ask us if we needed anything and how our meal was, he brought my husband ice tea Very nice restaurant and the best Pappadeaux we have been. Thank you for being kind to us

Dinner

By Antonio_Lewis |

Hands down this is one of the best spots I have ever visited. I tried alligator for the first time and was not disappointed. I also recommend Pappasitos Cantina.

Great surprise

By Bill W |

As as everyone has experienced, airport food, in most cases, is expensive and not always good eats. Getting to the gate area at Hobby, I was delighted to see my favorite go to seafood restaurant. Since I was flying and going to be in tight quarters I decided to go with something less "gastric" and get a Greek salad with crab meat. It was fabulous. Server was personable and very attentive, but not overly so. My "patron perfect" margarita was, well, perfect! Leaving, I got out in the flow of traffic and here comes my server with my IPhone that I left on the counter. Will definitely be back when back in Houston.

Great airport restaurant

By rossdmd |

It’s a nice sit down restaurant with great food. The salmon burger was massive and very good. It’s a great place upstairs and you can enjoy a leisurely quiet meal if you have a long enough layover. Service was actually fast, but there was definitely time for an extra drink. Lexi, thanks for great service. You were friendly and did a great job. All the best to you.

Great Seafood restaurant

By bafwkuijpers |

I was brought to this restauarant by my brother in law and I was surprised. Normally I would personally never choose a fish restaurant to go out for dinner, but the choise they have over here is magnificant. Even for non-fish eaters this is a great restaurant. I choosed a mix fish platter if I am not mistaken. 2 huge sticks with fish and several choises of fish still next to it. served with rice. The taste was great, the best fish I had ever had before. The amount was too much, so I had even to ask for a "doggy bag" and trust me, I am a big eater.

Still Good...years later

By brother2004rich |

I haven't visited Papadeaux in years and I was glad to see that nothing has changed. The food is still good and the service was good as well.

Good place

By Jake & Bere |

We are stay really relax... the atmosphere so good ... the weathers every time pending of us, if we need something they come so fast. really i like it. love papadeaux

Great place

By Brenda S |

My husband and I have eaten here many times when we are at the airport. It is always pretty crowded but really good food and service. Anytime you are at Hobby Airport and have the time this is definitely the best restaurant at the airport.

Great food & service

By soniaher2000 |

The customer service was outstanding. My husband is lactose intolerant. Our server, Robert took his time explaining the menu choices. The fish was fresh and very tasty. Would come back on our next trip.

Amazing seafood

By plbethany |

I'm from Baton Rouge and thought seafood could not be better. I had the mahi topped with crabmeat and it was in the top five best fish I have ever eaten! Our waitress was superb and I have found a new home on my many travels through Houston airport. Get your wallet out...but it is well worth the value

All fried

By Alex C |

The service was good and fast but I thoought the menu was a bit disappointing. Server basically said fried food was the best and it seemed to be pretty well it. Also thought the prices were high but not used to eating in airports so maybe that explained it.

Meal Option at IAH

By The World is My Oyster |

Stopped there for a quick lunch yesterday and ended up a little disappointed. I went with the mac & cheese with crab and that dish barely had any crab in it. This should have simply been called the mac & cheese dish. The service on the other hand was very friendly and professional. decent option for food but I would probably go with a different dish then the mac & cheese next time.

OMG the Shrimp was Great!

By TRenee B |

I ordered a combination platter and couldn't eat it all! In addition to the seafood they placed it on a HUGE bed of French Fries! Everything was lovely. I wish they had one on the east coast where I live. The strawberry lemonade was delicious!

Great food in a hurry!

By ICraveBeach |

If you haven't had the opportunity to visit a Papadeaux's restaurant this is great way to try it by having this one in the airport. Genius idea. For a family of 5, we all ordered and had our food quickly enough to not run the risk of rushing to the gate. We were in and out in 1 hour or less which was very impressive for the type of food and quality you're getting. So glad we had a chance to try it. Next time you're in the Houston airport, stop by. You'll enjoy.

Good food at an airport ? Yes it is !

By Mike P |

We did not intend going to Houston but a cancelled flight routed us this way. What a find. After the usual mix of fast food malls and the occasional half decent sports bar this place was an excellent find. The staff were very friendly. The young lady who served us, Penny, was excellent and knowledgeable. The place was buzzing. It is obviously one of the best places to eat at this airport. We had a couple of local beers to start and a very good starter of prawn Bruchetta with good size prawns and a tasty tomato sauce with goats cheese. Great flavour, Bread was nice and crispy. Next was a Grand Bay platter. This was a good choice. A crab cake, a skewer of shrimp & scallops, with green bean potato medley and some prawn and crayfish etouffe ? sauce. Overall an excellent meal for an airport and it would be a very good meal elsewhere. If we are routed this way again we will definatly eat here.

Nice food and service

By The World is My Oyster |

Stopped there on my layover to Las Vegas last week and very much enjoyed the service as well as the food. The lobster Mac and cheese was delicious and the server very friendly. I'll definitely be back there again in the near future.

Excellent choice for food on our way to Europe.

By Skypaic A |

We arrived in Houston and had two hours before our flight left for Amsterdam. We noticed that there was a Papdeaux restaurant on the second floor very close to our departure gate. Wise choice. My soup and pasta were excellent and the wife's selection came with wonderfully prepared asparagus. They were so good I was tempted to ask the waitress for another side order. Great food and we were on time for our flight. Both handy and good food what more can you ask for?

Food and staff were excellent, we were with family and everything was great, will be back when I visit Houston again.

Lobster bisque and crawfish Gumbo was delicious

By Ruta Y |

We went to the papadeaux located on Westheimer. We were not seated right away when we got there. The lady that greeted out party of 7 took us to where the bar was and left us standing there for a few minutes while they cleaned up our table. She then called us over to our seats but unfortunately since we have two small kids we asked to be switched over to two booths next to the tables instead and at first the lady did not like it because we can see by her body language and reaction to our request as hesitant and looking somewhere else with that impatient look on her face. Anyways, we moved to the booths and after a rocky start, things got better except they ran out of crayons for the kids during the early hours of dinner. Already? Our waiter greeted us and proceeded to take our orders. The Lobster bisque was delicious as well as the crawfish gumbo. The fried oysters were delicious and better than the ones we had a few days earlier at Benno's Cajun Seafood in Galveston, Texas when we were there for a little R and R with the family. The fried catfish was bland. It was very forgetful. It lacked spices and stuff. The stuffed crab was okay. It too lacked salt and spices. We would definitely go back for the Gumbo and the oysters and of course the fresh out of the oven bread that they serve.

Lots of food for reasonable mid range price

By Grammajan3 |

We always find that we get a lot of food for oyr money at other pappadeuxs elsewhere but this restaurant has made the serving sizes just a little more reasonable. Probably because people are in a hurry to catch their planes and dont want to fly oj such a heavy stomach.

Super Cajun Food!

By BK33458 |

Wonderful place for either lunch or Dinner. You can eat in the dining room, outside when the weather is pleasant or at the bar. Great food, especially any of their three gumbos. The Caesar Salad is one of the best. If you like a light dish, their Shrimp and Grits is really tasty. Great Service, friendly staff. We've eaten here numerous times and love all the fish dishes which are all terrific. Can't say enough about Papadeaux's in Fort Worth. The desserts are delisch - try the banana pudding it was awesome.

Fabulous Seafood, Second best airport food I have had!

By KIM S |

When I have time and it is the right time of day I head to Papadeaux! My choice: crab cakes or soft shell crab. So many choices... but how often can I get Soft Shell Crab? So it is difficult to get past that. (In case you are wondering the first best airport food was in Japan)

Best Dinner of the Trip

By shellzbell |

Appetizers and entrees were all spot-on. I had the Costa Rican Mahi, perfectly seasoned and cooked. Hubby had Ginger salmon and it was super too. The Kidlet had fried shrimp and they were big and not greasy (as opposed to the usual kids meal of greasy popcorn shrimp). I wish there was a location around me but probably a good thing there's not. ;)

Grabbing lunch on a layover at Hobby Houston

By John B |

Sometimes you want a real meal between flights and not just fast food. This restaurant fits the bill if the price is not a problem. The food was excellent! We both had the shrimp po-boy with cajun remoulade, one with tasty lobster bisque and mine with shrimp gumbo that flashed me back to NOLA. Really excellent. Service was very attentive and the hostess asks you about your boarding time so they can treat you accordingly. Seats inside or at the inside entrance from the terminal walk. Price is stiff but for us the food overcame it. Safe and satisfying travels everyone! Oh, full bar, too.

Pre-Flight relaxation and great food

By Laurenrenae |

Airports are never delightful, but Pappadeaux in IAH is always a bright spot. I love to run up the stairs and enjoy the real restaurant atmosphere here. The salads are always super fresh and crisp, and the fish is delicious. If you are worried that the food might be too rich, don't. There is a large menu with lots of options! Knowing what lays ahead on most flights- plane food is usually tolerable at best- a yummy crab cake here or some gumbo is really welcome! The service is fast and the food is great. Do yourself a favor and stop by when flying thru Houston!

Dinner at Papadeaux's on Richmond

By Ike K |

If you love great Cajun style seafood serve in an atmosphere thriving with a cool old school urban vibe, scurry on over to Papadeaux. Everything aspect of our visit was memorable. From the great service (Taylor J), to the food and atmosphere. Don't leave Houston without visiting.

Outstanding food

By kevin s |

I have been wanting to try this chain on our travels and got the chance when we were stuck in the airport after missing our connection. Best crab cake I have ever had. Highly recommended if you like cajun or seafood (or both in my case).

Dee-lish

By MimiSkyy |

I was visiting in Houston for my birthday and my family decided to take me here. Nice big restaurant. The menu was full of options. I had a drink called the swamp thing and it was great! I ordered Mardi Gras pasta (i forgot the name of the entree) but it was delicious. It had enough seafood and spice and it tasted just right. Next time i'm in town I would love to come back here.
