Well worth a visit

By Thompsonrobert51 |

Very good brasserie offering. Menu limited as you would expect but dishes on it all first class. Service excellent and good vibe, generally busy most of the time from what we could see, no surprise given the offering and overall vibe

The seafood tower…

By www.DinedThereSippedThat.com |

When doing my research for which restaurants I wanted to dine at in Philadelphia I saw the seafood tower at the park and was instantly hooked. It was coincidentally Bastille day the evening that we dined at the restaurant, so they were celebrating that and they were overly busy. Service did suffer and was a little slow between cocktail and water refills. When our waiter was at our table he was very helpful friendly and knowledgeable. Got the seafood tower as my main and it did not disappoint! Points sat there for at least an hour and a half taking my time, getting every piece of meat out of every shell, sipping champagne, it was a wonderful experience! Would highly recommend it for anyone considering French Brasserie cuisine in Philly

Great place in a very good restaurant area

By Larry C |

My first visit. Went with my family who lives in the area. I have eaten at many of the restaurants in the area over the years and there are several very good ones. The Parc rates right up there at the top on quality of food, service and atmosphere. I had their veal, and it was excellent. Definitely one of the preferred places into area to go. I'll definitely return next time I visit.

Much better than expected. Menus options for everyone. $50 per person including taxes and tip.

Fabulous! Well earned 5 out of 5. Very true to form Parisian style. Good bread! One of the best wine lists I’ve come across anywhere. Lunch menu has a few bonus options for breakfast and dinner too. Service pretty good. Very busy. Suggest reservations.

not their usual fab fare

By Sara C |

We’ve been to Parc several times, and have had lovely experiences. Unfortunately last night was not one of those, steak was actually cold when it arrived to table (as in the butter on top was not even slightly melted!) in fairness, it was a busy night, and when pointed out to our server she did sent it back, but by the time my dinner arrived everyone else was finished theirs - disappointing and pricy evening. that said, the beet salad was outstanding as was the bread!

Lost that loving feeling

By Ron J |

I think Parc is now suffering from their own success. Recently had dinner there with friends. Waiter acted as though he was doing us a favor. Two days later I called and asked for a reservation. I understand weekends are busy. I was told “No we are fully booked, try just walking in. You’ll probably wait 45 minutes”. It turned out to be a rainy day. I walked past and the restaurant was far from crowded. I find Barclay Prime and The Continental, both near by, to be much more accommodating. Parc will always be a favorite but it will eventually become a back rather than first option.

Very Good and enjoyable, except for steak

By Sightsee24791 |

Very nice restaurant, great drinks properly made, and very popular. It also has a nice European ambiance. We enjoyed it very much. My wife said the trout was the best she ever had and would drive 3 hours to come back and have it! High praise. The artichoke app was amazing, although it came a little oily - fried at too low a temperature maybe. The steak au poive had a nice sauce and was prepared well and was served at the perfect temperature. However, for an over $40 entree, it appeared to be a Sysco portion steak - not a quality butchered steak. The NY strip was thin, the meat was inconsistent with many tough spots. It took away from the thoughtful, delicious preparation. Steak frites would have been great, but skirt steak is an unacceptable cut. It should be a ribeye. There are plenty of quality wholesale options for beef, and at a decent cost. I suggest someone there do the work to change sources instead of getting portion controlled steak and charging top dollar.

French style and American pizazz

By cmasb |

We booked but arrived a few minutes early. They seated us without fuss and we enjoyed a very good meal. The tuna carpaccio was beautifully delicate and the salade niçoise was excellent. There was a good choice of French wines (though we chose a Californian Zinfandel). Service was prompt and friendly. The place isn’t sure if it’s a brasserie or a bistro. I’d say probably the former. It’s too informal (on our experience) to be a bistro. It’s probably best to describe it as an American take on a brasserie. It was busy and buzzy. The bar looked to be well stocked, though we didn’t sample it very much.

Excellent

By NewYorkFamilyfun |

Would come to Philly just for this restaurant. Food high quality. Fresh. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed

Had breakfast and dinner, would definitely recommend!

By Gscjjj |

The weather was nice so we ate outdoors. Our server, Jose, was very attentive. The bread basket had rave reviews and did not disappoint. The variety and amount was very nice. There are daily specials. We were there on a Wednesday and the special was Lobster Risotto. Two of us ordered that and it was truly delicious. I could have eaten more! One friend got the mussels and was quite satisfied. Two people got the French Onion soup which they said was delicious. We liked our food so much that we went back one day for breakfast.

Bready or not, here I crumb!

By Jonathan F |

Omg, the walnut and cranberry bread loaf is second to naan and deserves a spot in the bread hall of fame. It’s an amazing juncture of savory, crunch and sweet. A breadtaking delight! The rest of food is pretty awesome, too. Classically French dishes executed flawlessly. The menu features all the usual culprits: escargot, beef tartare, omelette, onion soup, boeuf bourguignon, Nicoise, etc. The Onion soup was perfection, l sooo rich and robust that it could double up as a sauce. The beef bourguignon was very nice and bursting with bold flavors. The atmosphere evoques your typical French bistro and it has a lot of old school charm. Service was fine, nothing stood out on either side of the spectrum. Just average service. The one note is that the bathroom was cruddy and unkept. Some of stalls didn’t have toilet paper.

Consistency, consistency, consistency!

By djaungst66 |

Great spot to people watch on the Square - but always come back for the food. Service and quality of food have been consistent since first opening. Always guaranteed a great night!

Brought us back to Paris

By Ridingrealtor |

Very nice French Restaurant which reminded us of our trip to Paris last year. We sat outside and had a drinks and split the croque monsieur. It was actually better than the one we had in Paris.

No way to go wrong

By worktotravel14 |

Classic French food served superbly. Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures on this visit but found the cocktails bright, the rose dry, and everything delicious. No pictures means the company was even better.

Anthony- the best!

By Tabitha K |

We were there for brunch-an unexpected celebration of my daughter celebrating finding her wedding dress. Anthony was attentive…engaging… a professional hospitality waiter…. who not only provided top notch service, he was personable and conversational….and just plain AWESOME, to put it mildly. Oh yea, the food was top notch as well. Brilliant day to brunch!!!!!

Go you won’t be disappointed!

By ukdiva007 |

This is my third time to Parc in a month and I can attest to it being fabulous an ms consistent every single visit. The food is delicious, service great and the ambiance is fantastic. This is definitely my go to restaurant when I visit Philly and I highly recommend

Great fries

By TravelBrianCO |

Food was good. Burger and steaks were tasty, fries were amazing. Bread basket thumbs up. Service was slow, not due to lack of staff.

Always a great meal

By NYC_Geezer |

Had a chance to have dinner here with some friends and had a wonderful experience. In the past, I will come here for brunch, but this time I was lucky enough to come for dinner. The restaurant itself is a true bistro experience and you do feel like you’re in Paris. The food is fantastic from appetizers to dessert. Very attentive staff. Highly recommended!

A Great Place for Breakfast or Brunch

By Ira C |

We visit the Parc Restaurant whenever in Philly. Why? Simple —- the food is amazing, a variety of choices for breakfast and brunch. The staff is friendly, helpful not standing over you encouraging you to finish up and leave. You will not go wrong there….be sure to ask for the raspberry jam for your breads, it is wonderful and we always get some to take back home. Looking forward to our next visit to Philly and the Parc!

Feels Like Home

By Carl H |

We came to Parc on a recommendation and enjoyed our experience very much. First, they offer a fresh made bread basket that’s second to none. We chose a lighter meal, sharing apps and dessert, which they accommodated. The service was impeccable, and it seemed obvious that many guests were regulars for dinner and family outings. If visiting the city, we pass the recommendation onto you, to enjoy a meal-breakfast, lunch or dinner-at Parc.

Location is Great, Food is OK

By Marshall S |

The Parc Brasserie is located near a busy intersection of 18th Street and Rittenhouse Square. It is a great destination for a meal while visiting some of the attractions in the Central City, the Arts District or the Franklin Institute. The restaurant attracts a healthy mixture of locals and tourists and is busy during peak periods. We enjoyed the Crab and Avocado as a starter. The crab was cool and fresh and the avocado was perfectly ripe. The Mediterranean Sea Bass is very tasty with a delicious tapenade crust. The Steak au Poivre was average as it was a bit dry and overcooked. The ambience reminds me of the Palace Cafe in New Orleans with high ceilings and art deco fixtures. Although we enjoyed our meal, we found that most dishes were pretty overpriced for this market.

Tasty food - good service - great ambience! A remarkable place to treat yourself!!

By MidwestKathM |

Spotted Parc Brasserie while walking through Rittenhouse Square. It's on the street level of a striking apartment building. So we couldn't resist stopping in for a bite to eat in the middle of the afternoon. Jambon et beurre sandwich, frites, and green salad. All were especially tasty. But the complimentary bread basket has stuck with me...three breads...the cranberry walnut dark bread was fantastic! Good service. Great ambience...we learned that that the restauranteur worked with his designer who went to Paris to select the vintage mirrors and other decor that turned this space into a Parisian bistro!! A really nice treat for us!!

Qui Qui

By Greenie073 |

Great spot in Philly! My favorite place. The bar in itself is amazing and they offer you a bread basket because the place is always packed. Make reservations early!

Very overrated

By Micrida1 |

It is always packed so why should they worry. Very unfriendly staff. From the female who puts you at bad seated table close to the door as the hasty male waiters who never learned to smile. Food is okayish but far from tasteful. Maybe cause I am foodie from Europe I am more critical than the regular US citizen. I just had simple oysters which had a flat taste. Asking for some pepper was quite a bold question it seems. After 10 seconds by a very tasteless steak tartar and French fries. For a restaurant this pretentious it is very below average and no value for money. Luckily O never have to go back there.

Amazing Versions of Fish, Steak, Lamb, Vegetarian Foods and Wow Pecan Pralunes

By Toni T |

Our group of 12 dined here as a large group with excellent service from ZACH and another gentleman whose name i failed to get. ZACH enthusiastically explained the menu items and specials Salads are fresh and dressed with a light dressing. The raisin bread name does not give justice to this savory sweet bread. The rich French onion soup was brimming with melted cheese. For out mains, the sea bass came with tail on or tail off, peppers and long beans, a true switch from standard rice or potatoes. The lobster risotto special presented a unique twist. All our other mains offered similar excellent presentation with high quality ingredients The crème brulle was perfect fully carmelized with a light crème, and I had to try something I have never heard of in a praline sherbet which proved to be a tasty treat with tiny bits of praline pecans. PARC offers a relaxing ambiance with low lighting, tasteful minimalist wall stuff. Thank you for no background music to compete with slightly loud noise of conversations Accessible restrooms for men and for women with dedicated stall, 3 grab bars, and 3ftx5 ft space Menus are dark letters on light background with fair contrast and readability Accessible entry and exit to venue. Venue is mostly accessible with several steps to manage for some dining areas Accessible street parking that is paid and challenging to find.

Quality is going down hill

By Flip16 |

We used to love Parc. It used to be one of the brightest Stephen Starr restaurants... but in the last 2 years, we have noticed a very poor trend. It started with substituting canned tuna for the Nicoise salad instead of a seared tuna steak. This last visit our steak Frites was a skirt steak... it tasted fine, but we were expecting a sirloin or Delmonico cut like we used to get. The worst part, the escargot is now 70-80% mushrooms that sort of kind of look like snails. Of course, all these shortcuts in quality have not revealed any cheaper prices. Come on Stephen, you're better than this. Bring back the quality we know and expect.

The most lovely breakfast you will find!

By Mamatibs |

We had just arrived in Philadelphia the night before, so wanted to have a lovely breakfast the next morning to ease into our trip. Wow, we were so happy to come across this wonderful restaurant! First off, it is just beautiful, across the street from Rittenhouse Square and a lovely view from the restaurant. The staff was so kind, welcoming, enthusiastic and attentive. You could tell that they all really took pride in their wonderful restaurant! The food was hot, beautiful and simply delicious! The service was excellent. We can't wait to go back! Thanks to the staff for a most enjoyable experience!

Fantastic Brunch

By calliam |

We had a wonderful brunch here! It is super dog friendly and our server bought over a big bowl of water for our pup right away. The food and drinks were all great and lots of vegetarian options too. Excellent service.

Parc Restaurant

By RobinFGriffiths |

This restaurant was rocking. Even on a weekday night you need to book, but they accept online bookings. The service was great, the food and choice of wines excellent. A real go to place if you are staying in Philadelphia.

Outstanding in All Respects!

By 1Buffettfan |

Dined here about 10 years ago and hoped it would still be great. It was! Ambiance ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Cuisine: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! A special shout out to our server Kelly. Her timing was perfect, she was friendly without being gushy. And she ran us down a block away to return a shirt we had left at the table! Highly recommend the Trout Amandine and my veal escalope with a wonderful creamy mushroom sauce. The Entre den Mer was so delicious.

Philadelphia Sunday

By Megunticook72 |

An explosion of Sunday on a fabulous day in the Fall. The restaurant is almost an enclave to Rittenhouse Square it is so big. There are 300 seats with the outside in play. The menu offers literally everything a French menu might offer with touches of Philadelphia. Servers buzz and pedestrians move about with children and dogs. It takes time to order with so many choices it’s almost too much. Still. Its a great experience and the food is good. I’d go back later in the season and enjoy the charming and busy insides too. To be back in this city is always a choice made easily and with family and old friends it’s a welcome to be savored. In addition there are an abundance of very good places in this neighborhood and beyond. On the whole, it’s a great restaurant city.

Classic Philadelphia

Great food and scenery, staff was excellent and food was amazing. This was before Covid, so could be different now. We would definitely go back if we go to Philadelphia again :)

Paris in Phili and oh so good

By mttaylor9 |

Wow! Dining outdoors at Parc was just about as close as you can get to dining on a Parisian street, but right in Phili! The people watching, the traffic, the square of green across the street fit the spot just perfectly. But feeling like we were in Paris isn't why we came, it was jus the icing on the cake. The Food! Wow! The steak tartare was perfection. Perfect quail egg and great accompanying salad. The mushroom tart, layered dough perfection piles with exotic mushrooms and just the right size. Entrees were well cooked and served beautifully. And our server was the perfect blend of attentive, topping our water off with filtered , ice cold water and sweet, checking in to make sure we were enjoying. We will be back!

Great bread, good dogs, fancy cocktails, superb service

By 321Gigi |

On a gorgeous and warm October evening, we dined outside, sitting on authentic-looking French chairs at a small round table. In the lovely French tradition, our neighboring dinner companions included well-behaved dogs. The service provided by Talbert was superb. Our cocktails were divine, as was the basket of crusty French and walnut/cherry breads. We enjoyed the chicken liver parfait (served in a small oval crème brûlée dish, not a parfait glass), and the assortment of cheeses, plus more fabulous bread. We considered having another meal here over our three-day stay, but Talbert wasn’t working the next evening and the wait was too long. You won’t go wrong at this lovely French brasserie.

Birthday brunch

By Archie |

We enjoyed a delicious birthday brunch at this French inspired restaurant. Definitely difficult to find parking in the city. Its opposite a beautiful park. The outside has a lovely playful decor. We made reservations in advance. They have outdoor seating as well. There was a line for a wait into the restaurant. Our server was very nice. The bread basket was delicious with warm with tasty butter. It comes with the meal. I got the hummingbird cocktail which they forgot about. Needed a gentle reminder. My son enjoyed his hot chocolate. I had the smoked salmon on bread with capers and cheese, my son loved his heavy mac and cheese. My husband had the most delicious omelet with pepper and onions. They have me mini macroons to say happy birthday! Lovely brunch all around

Great Brunch

By Spiegs1968 |

Excellent brunch at Parc. Cheerful, friendly reception and service throughout. Our server was really great- easily and without blinking accommodated several special requests. Food was outstanding and I saw several other things on the menu I would have liked as well. Well made drinks. Price to value ratio good. Highly recommended for brunch, I look forward to trying dinner

Lovely Location

By skychaserCalgary |

This restaurant is located on Rittenhouse Square a beautiful square in the centre of the city….surrounded by lots of green space. The restaurant itself is quite large inside and reminiscent of a French brassiere….We were there for a quick lunch and ordered the French onion soup and the pea soup, both of which were delicious. We then shared a half a dozen oysters - from Maryland and Massachusetts…again very good.

A Philly classic

By Steven C |

One of the most popular restaurants in Philly, and with good reason. We came for brunch-- amazing pancakes and salmon tartine, awesome (free) bread basket, great French ambience and perfect service. And just across from beautiful Rittenhouse Square and shopping on Walnut Street. Always great!

Onion soup amazing

By stephen |

Great spot. The onion soup was amazing. Very busy but I guess since it’s so great we’re not the only people who want to eat there

Very Lively...

By PatrickCTMD |

Atmosphere and service were top-notch. Our appetizers were excellent, the chicken liver mousse and steak tartare being standouts. I ordered the Beef Bourguignon as an entree and while it was ok, it lacked a little in refinement and size for $41.

Becoming a birthday custom

By CultureTrips |

The bistro atmosphere, delicious food and also care about vaccination status make this our new favorite. The food is fresh and beautifully prepared and presented. My pasta primavera had vegetables cooked perfectly, and I could taste each one. Portions are healthy and share-able. In fact, be careful - everything looks so good that it's easy to over-order. These days I always mention noise in reviews; really loud noise means don't come again. I found the background music a bit loud and mentioned it to our very attentive waiter, and he said he wasn't sure but would see what he could do. Seems it got somewhat quieter afterward. When I later was complimenting him to a manager, she said some like the music loud enough so nearby tables can't hear conversations. But seems to be it could also work that louder music means louder conversations, still heard. We appreciated the effort at Parc. Though we live in the suburbs, it's becoming our birthday tradition to come into town and celebrate with a meal at Parc.

Go to place for a nice experience

By Stuart S |

Visiting the city I was taken by a couple of clients. Wonderful restaurant with indoor and outside heated seating. (I preferred the quietness of the outdoor). From the amazing breads to the onion soup and entrees, really a treat. Service was top notch.

Must-visit restaurant in Philly

By DFM |

A must-visit restaurant if you're in Philly is Parc, a French brasserie with a cosmopolitan atmosphere, strategically located in front of Rittenhouse Square, one of the city's most beautiful spots. The architecture of this restaurant will transport you to Paris. They offer traditional French cuisine; I strongly recommend the duck and the crème brûlée. They also have a long bar where they prepare a wide variety of drinks and where you can dine.

Reliably good breakfast.

By Nancy G |

We came here for breakfast on a Wednesday morning. We did not have a reservation, but were seated immediately. We had the eggs Norwegian as well as two scrambled eggs with sausage. Both dishes came with home fries. Both dishes were delicious. Portion sizes are very large. Quality is high. Our server Alexandre was very nice. We wish we had been brought out the fresh bread basket like all other tables around us had because we know how good the bread basket is. Our only slight disappointment was that we waited forever for our check.

Breakfast

By Olivia |

Very good breakfast, perfect location next to Rittenhouse Square. The pancakes are delicious and also the french toast! Would recommend to anyone in the area

Nice shrimp salad.

By Nancy G |

We came here on a Wednesday around 2pm for lunch. The place was packed but we were sat right away. Our server, Alexandra, was super nice and helpful. We had a wonderful bottle of sparkling wine (Font Merlot Cremont) with our meal. My husband had the warm shrimp salad. He loved it. I had something I’ve ordered here for years - the tuna carpaccio. Years ago it was much better. The last few times it has been gelatinous. For instance you could slide a knife underneath of it and lift the entire thing up in one piece. That was a big turn off. I am used to paper thin slices of fresh tuna. I will not order this here again. The bread basket was delicious as always.

Absolutely excellent meal!

By Michael B |

We had a wonderful meal here. Steak was excellent; perfectly prepared. We also had Moules Frites. Bread and wine were excellent too! We ate outside which was very nice. Inside was very boisterous; loud and fun. I can imagine it being a bit difficult to hear conversations though.

Very disappointing

By Ron J |

Parc always provides an outstanding experience. With the exception of our last visit. After the theater went to PARC with friends for a drink. Bar was packed. Asked if we could occupy one of the many empty tables. The answer was a quick and definite NO. As it was after 10pm I couldn’t help but ask if they were expecting a dinner rush. The response was no expected rush but couldn’t possibly allow us to use a table for drinks only. We left, went to PRIME, half a block away. We were greeted warmly and accommodated. Drinks which lead to a food order. Sorry PARC, not a great experience. Thank you PRIME for providing an outstanding experience.

Meh

By John C |

Wife enjoyed her warm shrimp salad, my salmon was bland and uninteresting. Our carafe of Chardonnay was good. Service was excellent.

Outstanding food and service without a single error.

By Benny D |

Truly, Parc is a Gem.. Great service which we never find in NYC. The kindness and professionalism of the service people all the way.. Atmosphere is stunning like in Champs Elyse Paris. The quality of the food super. Sea food is beyond one`s imagination. My friends and I wished we have place like Parc in New York city. We will return and go there again in the near future.

Classy atmosphere, great views, food and music

By RickNewY0rk |

Wonderful atmosphere with fantastic views of Rittenhouse Square. Tamia provided service with a smile. My son and I enjoyed our fruity Greek yogurt and fluffy pancakes. And check out the bathroom: I’ve never heard such great audio - classical music at full blast. Then again, the restaurant is across the street from the Curtis Institute.

Paris Bistro in Phillie

By j s |

This spot is excellent for a casual dinner out. Reservations recommended. All of our dishes were good, but the beef bourginon stood out, as did the tomato tarte. Presentation of the warm shrimp was beautiful

Great food and service. Very noisy.

By TravelersfromCT |

Food was delicious. Service outstanding. I had trout almandine wonderful. Husband had steak frites Fabulous. Bread basket was the best! My only complaint was noise level problematic. Corporate owners might consider some sort of sound barriers. High ceilings may be problem. . Other than that great!

Definitely returning!

By bobbyripe |

Loved Parc Brasserie from the start. Called to change the time of my reservation and Todd was great about. Got there and were taken to wonderful table by the window. Our server Alexa was friendly and helpful, with a beautiful smile. The bread and butter were delicious, particularly the cranberry bread. As well as the rest of the meal: beet salad, steak & frites, avocado and crab salad and 3 desserts: pot de crème, profiteroles and the sorbet. And loved the place: decoration, illumination and just wonderful overall vibe.

Reliably great any time!

By PeterAL10 |

We have been enjoying Parc Brasserie for years for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. Their bread basket is the finest in Philadelphia, and it is worth going just for the bread. Choose anything on the menu and you should be well rewarded.

Delicious

By Chris T |

My wife and I asked a friend for a recommendation for lunch in Philadelphia and she said, "you have to go to Parc, it's my favorite." Her daughter goes to Drexel and they go tp Parc every time she's in town. Parc is really big, so getting a table wasn't an issue - we spent the 10 minute wait (exactly 10 minutes as the host said it would be) exploring the square. We chose to sit inside and loved the comfortable old-school feel of the place. We had steak frits and the warm shrimp salad - both were fantastic. The service was attentive and courteous.

Brunch to Perfection

By Sandi S |

After starting overnight In Philadelphia, we looked forward to a good brunch. The Parc did not disappoint. Coffee arrived with a bread basket to die for! Two of us had the smoked salmon tartine. Had looked forward to a bagel with lox, but this was sooo much better. A friend enjoyed the quiche. A few sweets ended our perfect brunch. Our server, Laura, couldn’t have been more professional and personable. We want to return for dinner and will definitely request Laura.

Balthazar in Philly

By gray72 |

Fantastic! Parc visually delivers on your French bistro fantasy—polished tile, antiqued mirrors and warm glowy lighting, and pairs the ambiance with classic bistro fare that is cooked to perfection and served by attentive and friendly staff. The beet salad, dorade en papillote, and profiteroles were standouts but everyone in our group loved their meal.

Superb French Restaurant

By ciog52 |

Superb food and a lovely venue. We had the Steak and Moules with French fries and a superb Tarte Tatin for dessert.Steak was cooked exactly as ordered. The bread served before the meal was beautiful. The restaurant is always busy and it is easy to see why. A very special thanks to the amazing staff particularly our lovely server Kara who was so nice and kind.

Great breakfast spot

By Questa321 |

Lovely breakfast in a charming French cafe. French toast was lovely and so was the omelette. My partner says this was one of the best omelettes he’s had anywhere and the breakfast potatoes were sensational.

Tasty French dishes at an elegant place!

By Bi-coaster |

With a spacious interior and an attractive outdoor structure, this is very popular spot just off Rittenhouse Square. We were here for lunch outdoors in the covered space at a nice table. Service was very friendly and the French menu different and appealing. Among us, we enjoyed the rich celeriac soup with truffle duxelles, tuna carpaccio, chicken paillard, mussels, and a lovely warm shrimp salad with greens and avocado. The men indulged in baba au rhum and tarte tatin. A very pleasant and relaxed meal as we were not hurried.

Taste of France in Philadelphia

By JRaeJ |

Our daughter's birthday pick (17) while travelling the state on spring break. She made the reservation weeks in advance (Must make reservation & they go fast). Picked Parc because of the Chef's James Beard status and menu options for her gluten free diet. We had appetizers, entrees & desserts. Sardines & steak tartare Rabbit, beef Bourguignon, & lamb shank Sorbet & chocolate mousse Hot chocolate, with & without Bailey's For those of you from Raleigh NC, Parc has the exact vibe of the recently darkened 42nd St. Oyster Bar. For those of you who have traveled to Paris--Parc will not disappoint and has the added benefit of friendly staff. Speaking of staff-- our server was excellent. Made for the job. Friendly, provided recommendations when we asked, told us about the daily house-made bread and 100% added to this highlight of our six-nights across PA.

Always make a stop here when in Philadelphia.

By WSP77379 |

Third time eating here on a trip and I absolutely LOVE parc!! Everything from the decor to the servers to the location and of course the fabulous food!!! I love the quiche!! The bread! And little touches like how they serve the coffee, which is also very very good. The food is very rich. Very filling. Delicious, but well.. . A lot of dairy. Even the bathrooms are nice. In warmer weather, I like having coffee outside with RH Square as the view. On weekends, be prepared to wait. A must eat at place when in Philadelphia.

Location Location / Bread basket excellent/ food nothing to write about

By marcopolopaloalto |

Location Location across from elegant Rittenhouse square - close to shopping and park square beauty. A very popular place with a big noise level of chatter. Beautiful French cafe bistro interior, very good service ! However, outside of a spectacularly good basket of breads ( 3 kinds) with whipped butter, the food is mediocre, salty, inelegant and overpriced. A better omelet can be found at any diner, and Croque sandwich also could be found looking better and tasting better anywhere else.

Parc is the most visited restaurant in Philadelphia for a reason

By robert c |

Parc is located in the most beautiful part of Philadelphia and it honors their location with great food and attentive service! The Eggs Benedict and Croque Monsieur were delicious mirrors the taste and flavor of what you would get in Paris. The beautiful interior and set up captures the essence of a Parisian Bistro. The place is always busy whenever we go there because you never get tired of excellence.

Best Meal of the Trip

By Travel_lovin_momma |

Our food was so good! Bread basket had a good variety. I had the eggs Benedict that was delicious! Almost as good as the Eggs Benedict at Old Ebbitt Grill in DC. My husband had the Salmon Benedict and it was phenomenal!!

Parc is always the BEST time.

By snubman |

At Parc, you can always count on a delicious French meal, along with alluring art + architecture, warm vibes, chic cafe culture, and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Our server Jose went above and beyond, showing off language skills in multiple languages and making us feel at home. The manager, Lauren, was so welcoming and went above and beyond. On t’adore, Parc. Ne changez jamais. ;-)

Please get rid of the horrible outdoor “chalets “

By Sandy P……………….1 a zzzzzazqzzzz |

Used to be one of my favorite places to go. Ever since Covid they have these awful outdoor structures they call “chalets”. They are extremely hot in the summer and have hideous cheap artificial plants. The worst thing about them is that they block the view of Rittenhouse Square park. I haven’t been for assume due to these ugly things but grabbed it av try again today. Won’t be back until they are gone

A delicious lunch near Rittenhouse Square

By BeachBummDE |

We visited Philly for the day and had a wonderful lunch. We shared the delicious crab and avocado appetizer and roast beef sandwich which was more than enough food for two...not to mention the basket of delicious bread. The service was wonderful.

Lovely Brunch

By eppikureeus |

Brunch for four on a Monday. Restaurant was packed at 11:30, indoors and out. Service was impeccable. Oysters, Salad Nicoise, Croque Madame and Quiche were all generous Ave very, very delicious. If you have the budget, this was the best brunch in our recent memory.

It nice enough , but Joe average for a French cafe/ Brassier

By Rob H |

I do like this place, but really struggle with the front of house brigade of service staff who check seating, take your number, bring you water , bring you the menu , bring you bread and eventually take your order , but you've spoken to 8 people to get this far !! Its expensive , but nice food and of course its opposite the Square! C'est le vie !

Delicious and casual!

My friend brought me to this place. After reviewing the menu online and hearing a lot of hype, I suspected it might be a real 'scene'* and over rated. I was happily wrong on my counts. The restaurant was not a 'scene' (noisy and full foodie posers). It was inviting and casual, not stuffy and snobby. We ordered the Duck Confit, the Trout Amandine and Profiteroles for dessert. Everything was expertly prepared and absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend and return to this place. Enjoy! Merci.

My #1 Favorite

By TravelMaven42 |

I make a point to dine here each and every time I visit Philadelphia. The food, service and ambiance are simply perfect. Try the steak frites!

A true brasserie!

By Richard F |

A true brasserie - vibrant with quality staff and service. Good wine selection and cocktails made by accomplished bartenders. Great sidewalk seating (we visited in late June) overlooking Rittenhouse Square. Varied menu but I can’t pass up steak frites and Parc did not disappoint! Crème brule for dessert, of course. Reservations a must.

Outdoor seating with same enjoyment!

By 1francophile |

It been ages since I have dined at this fine establishment and I was extremely impressed with the offerings, execution and fine service. Since it was Reunion luncheon with old I apologized for not including photos. The bread basket was filled with crisp, tasty delights, which we enjoyed while perusing the menu. The wine is expensive with healthy markups so opted for a bottle of Pouilly Fume at $80 to accompany our meal, which was balanced, flavorful and long. Our Tuna Nicouse salads were ample and delicious, priced at $20. Though the restaurant was crowded inside and out, our server was attentive, personable and highly professional. I regret not getting his name to honor him in this review. It is worth an initial and return visit! Highly Recommended!

Pretentious and undeserving

By pncboy85 |

Take out (as a disclaimer). Steak au poivre and Salmon. Steak was perfectly prepared but tough. Salmon was over cooked. The order did not come with eating utensils so I had to return. No butter for baguette as advertised. Onion soup should not be offered for take out: it was too rich with a lump of cheese and soagy bread. Any restaurant or diner could make it this way. For $129.00. Too much too little detail.

I had the best birthday dinner here!

By Wander |

I went here with my family for my birthday and we had the best time. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals I know I did. The food is a little pricey but I think it's more than justified with the quality you get. The bread also is absolutely amazing. You'll definitely be seeing me there again soon.

Somewhat disappointed

By Tom C |

Beautuful decor in classic old style. Awesome bar with awesome bartenders. Drinks were exceptional. Dinner was ok, except we were time-limited because we didn't have a reservation. We sat at 6PM and place was jammed by 645. Mushroom tart was large, but not hot and rather heavy. Beef bourguignon was tasty, but again, not served warm enough . Half chicken was juicy, but again, not hot. Pureed pomme were very tasty, but not hot. Extensive wine list is a bit pricy. Our time constraint prevented us from sending our food back to be warmed, but we'd give it another chance because the service was excellent and the place is just that gorgeous.

A great all round choice. That pleases all

By Simon A |

Dropped by for brunch on our second day in Philly, the service was fast and friendly the menu full of interesting dishes as well as the classics. The chicken liver parfait was superb but homemade bread was the best I have eaten for a long time. The mains and sides were all good the crab and avocado appetiser was a great choice . Overall a really great place to go where you could spend a short amount of tea and a small'ish amount of money or a long time and a larger amount. The design is truly french bistro and for any British guests it reminds you of cafe rouge chain.

Late night meal hit the spot

By TravelingGuy60 |

I went for a quick, late night meal on a weeknight. The place was packed. I was seated and served promptly. I had a cheeseburger that was excellent. But there is plenty on the menu other than that.

Absolutely Great Experience!

By David P |

We took our daughter to dinner there for her 23rd birthday and what a wonderful time we had. Our daughter is a fan of their chicken kiev, but they only make that on Thursdays and we were having dinner on a Saturday. I reached out and Hani pretty quickly responded that they would do that for her. Closer to the date of our actual reservation, Lauren again confirmed that it would be made for us for her birthday. We had Anthony as our waiter and his service was just perfect. His service was spot on without hovering, and he was entertaining and very personable. He was a little taken aback when we said that we had pre-ordered the chicken kiev and he was pretty funny when he came back to confirm that it was in the kitchen for us! Everyone in the restaurant was great, the food was excellent and it's a beautiful restaurant. We look forward to our next visit there!

Amazing meal

By Laura M |

Loved the food and cocktails, especially the beef bourginon. Excellent service. Could not fault it, lovely interior also.

Best French in Philly

By SaaSAdam |

One of the best dining experiences in Philly. We travel all over for food and this may be our favorite French restaurant. Incredible food, great atmosphere, and service by Cesar was amazing. Surprisingly even better than its sister restaurant Le Diplomat in DC.

Not bad but not very good either

By crazyzete |

I’d like to start by saying I leave a number of reviews here and hate to leave negative ones, but I call them as I see them, YMMV (your mileage may vary). This place isn’t bad but I wouldn’t call it very good either. I’ve been to a number of other Starr restaurants before and agree with those that said this is overrated. Took my family there for a last minute getaway. In general felt the food was overpriced for what it was and what I had was a bit salty. I had the NY Strip steak and asked for fries instead of the garlic spinach. Was happy they accommodated and the fries weren’t bad, but definitely on the salty side (as other reviewers had commented). But I felt the strip was a better steak than the hangar steak so went with that. Was the strip good? Wasn’t bad but also not feeling it was worth the $40 (I know they are pricier at a nice steakhouse but just wasn’t feeling it). Overall the steak was lead and had a decent flavor, but the outside charred seasoning definitely was a salt lick. Took away from the experience in my opinion (and I’m someone who is usually generously salting my steak). French onion soup was excellent though. Wife and son had the Salmon Tartare appetizer and it was so-so (we usually go for Tuna Tartare apps and this was on the just ok end). 11 year old has the cheeseburger and fries and liked it (and you should like a cheeseburger that cost $24…again a bit much for what it was . 8 year old has the spaghetti bolognese. He liked it (but he’s 8). My wife tried it and said it just wasn’t a very good bolognese. Wife’s Rose pours were a bit on the small side for wine and my Nicoise Martini was just ok. On the small side and didn’t feel that strong for $16. The free bread though was excellent. So there you have it. Just okay food in a nice location. Inside on the energetic lively side (aka noisy). 4 entrees, 2 apps, 1 cocktail and 3 glasses of wine came to just under $300 with tip. I think for same price in city you can do better. I think if they offered a children’s menu with lower priced offerings for kids would have been a little more palatable…but again, YMMV.

Sunday Brunch.

By Neal G |

Arrived for a Sunday brunch and what a lovely place to dine. Reminiscent of a Parisian styled café with outside and inside dining. I'm not usually a big fan of French toast, but the way they prepared it, I had to try it. I was not disappointed, it was delicious. Reservations are recommended and it's well worth the effort.

Delicious food and excellent service

By Donna K |

Went there to enjoy a romantic dinner on an overnight getaway. The bread was fresh. Oysters were fresh and served beautifully. The mushroom tart is a treat I will try to copy at home. Drinks were flavorful. My veal with a mushroom sauce was fresh. Steak was cooked perfectly. Dessert was rich and decadent. The icing on the cake was a perfect waitress, Rita. She was professional, yet warm and engaging, her timing was perfect. We made reservations and would recommend them. We were seated promptly.

Still ze best

Still the best after all those years. Service is impeccable, french food great. i don’t know how they do it with some many tables

A favorite of mine!

By Anna R |

I have visited Parc over a dozen times over the past few years. Brunch is my favorite experience at this restaurant (but also did many quick stop overs to Parc to purchase macaroons and french bread). My all time favorite brunch pairing is the Croque Madame and cappuccino. There is such wonderful Parisian vibes in this establishment and sitting outside is lovely in warmer weather.

Love the outdoor dining!

By BostonChloe |

Lovely French bistro on Rittenhouse Square. The outdoor chalets are a pretty, private spot. We enjoyed a delicious lunch with attentive service (thanks, Ryan!). Love the opportunity to dine outside, protected from the sun and rain (both of which we experienced during out lunch!).

Happy Anniversary to Us... Oooh la la...

By mttaylor9 |

OMG! Parc made us feel like we were back on the streets of Paris. Super cute, super yummy and great service too. The steak tartare was insanely great! So French and so fresh. Service was perfect. People watching was fun. The Anniversary dessert was tasty and oh so French... oooh la la... We will be back!

Perfect dinner

By Romano C |

Perfect dinner, we ordered a portion of macaron au gratin as an "appetizer" and two omelettes with mashed potatoes. The portions are very generous, but above all the macarons are exceptional. It's hard to find pasta this good in America, cooked to perfection. What's more, they carry more varieties of bread, all of which are delicious. Finally, the waiter Charles who looked after us is really kind and attentive to the smallest details. Excellent value for money.

Work on you people skils you have a great place being managed by young arrogant brats that don't help you image

Can't make reservations online, they encourage walking and their reception staff is arrogant and not very accommodating, actually rude.

The Warm Shrimp Salad ranks as one of my favorite dishes ever over years of traveling and dining. Perfect blend of light and savory. Staff is super nice.

Closest thing to Paris in Philadelphia

Very fun outdoor seating. Inside is fun too but very loud. We ate here twice. Great cocktails and food. Easy to linger in the afternoon. Wish they were open for breakfast. Enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee.

Wonderful French Restaurant

By Maria F |

We enjoyed our outside dining with great food and libations! The Escargot was the best! Their brunch on Sunday is wonderful. Make a reservation so you don't have to wait!

Excellent Restaurant!

By Nitrox J |

Excellent service, atmosphere, and food. Parc makes you feel like your in Paris. It is truly one of the best restaurants in America.

Really terrific...a must!

By newidad |

We chose this fine restaurant for our first visit (to see the Barnes) in nearly 20 years. Great atmosphere, very special help from Sergio and super-tasty bread. Started with mushroom and liver appetizers then trout and veal in a fabulous mushroom sauce. Large portions so no space for desert. A wonderful evening!

C’est Tres Bien!

By Ira C |

Parc is one of our “go to” places when we visit Philly each year. This year we had breakfast one morning and brunch the next day. The food was exceptional! The French influence is obvious from the decor to, more importantly, the food. Both days we ended up getting “to go” bags as there was simply too much food to eat. The staff are exceptional, helpful but not intrusive or sending non verbal messages to leave. Today was amazing with Sophia. She mentioned that the restaurant was crowded, which it was, due to the holidays and the Marathon weekend. I said we were here for the half marathon, which I ran in the morning. Well, Sophia kept refilling my glass with water, while I drank a Mimosa as well. She said while doing my fifth refill, “you need to hydrate”. The manager brought our brunch entrees and asked, “which dish does the runner get.” Then when we were about done a staff person brought two small desserts on a plate labeled “congratulations”. We were completely taken aback by their response to my run. But more importantly, this demonstrates their attentiveness to customers. Sophia was great! Food wise, I had the quiche for brunch and salmon/bagel for breakfast while my wife had the omelette and croissant sandwich; we also had a pastry basket for brunch. Oh my, so so good! The quiche was fluffy in a way I never have had before. We will be back for next year’s marathon weekend, and yes , we will visit Parc for breakfast and brunch.

Nice spot but not worth the visit

By R_Journey |

We were given a nice table and there appeared to be quite a few things going on in the area at the time. The burger was nothing to write home about and my companion felt quite ill afterwards, having had the steak. For those reasons I couldn’t recommend the restaurant, nor would I want to return.

Great dinner at Parc

Fourth time visiting this restaurant and always excellent. Amazing food and great service. Martinis at the bar crafted by Chris were best ever. Definitely a Philly hot spot !!

Right out of Paris!

By PeterAL10 |

Parc is one of our favorite restaurants in Philadelphia, and it never disappoints. It's not inexpensive but the food is excellent more often than not. The bread basket is to die for, and understandably people buy their breads to take home. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner serving classic French dishes as well as others.

Sublime, best in Philadelphia by far

By Sergei PT |

I spent a while looking for a place to have dinner near Rittenhouse Square and was so glad I decided on Parc. As soon as you enter you feel in Paris. In a good way. In a top restaurant in Paris. I remembered the Relais Entrecôte. Amazing atmosphere, full of people eating and servers. Beautiful restaurant in every way. Menu is amazing, lots of good options to order. Food was also superb and we were always well taken care of. Amazing experience.

Excellent

By Tom H |

Outstanding location, food and professional service. It is a must try when you are Philadelphia. Nice outdoor tables too.

Great Experience

By Connie W |

This was recommended to us and did not disappoint. The fig, burrata cheese appetizer, salmon, and lobster risotto were all excellent. We shared the profiteroles for dessert. We were celebrating an anniversary and the staff created a greeting on the presentation platter, which was also a nice touch.

Cool spot!

By Matt P |

Loved the funky mid-century modern atmosphere. Service was excellent; food very, very good. Had a great lunch on a fun day in Philly.

If we could give this restaurant six stars, we would!

By Barbara |

We all went to Parc to celebrate a very special anniversary. We had a wonderful experience. They could not have been more accommodating and the food was excellent! We will definitely return!

French brasserie in Rittenhouse Square

By voyager81 |

Excellent restaurant in the middle of Rittenhouse Square. We ate here on arts weekend in Philadelphia. The food was very good. The hangar steak frites and the beef Bourguignon were super, just what we needed on a cold January night. Desserts we’re terrific. We had the pot de crème and profiteroles and enjoyed them thoroughly. Service was very good. The restaurant is within walking distance from all of the major hotels including the Kimpton, Sofitel and Westin.

Don’t leave Philly without a stop at Parc!

By Noelle R |

I never miss a chance to dine at Parc when I’m in Philly. Whether I’m sitting at the bar during lunch with a glass of Sancerre and the Salade Verte or at a table for breakfast overlooking Rittenhouse square park, it’s always a treat! The egg white omelette with ratatouille and goat cheese is the fluffiest, most magical omelette I’ve ever had. Kathy, the server, is the BEST! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Thank you again Parc for another fabulous dining experience!

Closest restaurant to Paris

Great location ,excellent food and terrific service. We shared the Mushroom tart and we both had the Steak frites. Have a lovely bottle of wine and we were too stuffed to have dessert. Having been to Paris many times Parc was the closest restaurant We have been to that looks and feels like Paris. The chairs, the ambience ,the food ,the servers . A great place to eat in Philadelphia.

Great Food - Great Service

As expected, our meal was excellent - especially the french onion soup. I appreciated the friendly and helpful staff who greeted us. Our waiter was also top-level.

Outstanding dining experience

By MARCOSSK |

It was a great surprise to find this restaurant in Philadelphia. In front of the square we sat outside and the weather was great. Server was amazing and food delicious. Highly recommend dining here.

Warmly elevated culinary experience

By dustythoughts |

Super good French restaurant at reasonable prices! We don't normally eat French food but were recommended here, and decided to give it a try. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, with a romantic atmosphere that elevated our meal to another level. Everything looked so good that we decided to order a bunch of things to share: the ricotta ravioli, the mushroom tart, the crispy artichokes, and the mozzarella & tomato baguette.

Feels like Paris…

By NYC_Geezer |

Wow, what an amazing brunch! The moment you walk into this place you really feel like you’re in a Parisian brasserie. Everything about this restaurant was fantastic. The baked goods are out of this world. Service was FANTASTIC! Can’t wait to go back.

French Brasserie in the Heart of Philadelphia

By Raffaella G |

Fast in the served and super nice .Great bread and French dishes. The place is spacious and a bit noisy but worth

Great, Great and Great!

By TeamMan |

The ambiance with its French bistro look is very inviting (see photos of the indoor and outdoor seating) as is the very cool bar area (photo). The service is First Class --- our server was a real pro --- charming and helpful. And the food (pardon me, the cuisine) was fabulous. My buddy and I went for our personal favorite --- Moule Frites. It was among the best ever in our experience (and that includes Paris and Brussels)! My wife chose the special Trout entree --- she had never had trout before and now, because of how good it was, she loves trout. You cannot review Parc without mentioning the bread basket (photo). The bread, baked fresh in their oven, is GREAT! We liked the various types of bread so much; we each took a loaf home. As I said, the ambiance is Great, the service is Great, and the food is Great!

Disappointed

By Chuck S |

This restaurant seems to have fallen victim to the same curse as several other surviving establishments. They are having huge challenges hiring staff. Perhaps they should consider cutting down the number of tables in their outside dining area or raise their prices by 15 percent so that they can afford to staff up. The Nicois salad was incredible the rare rack of lamb I ordered (2 small chops) was served well done in between courses I went to the mens room for a brief moment and when I returned my wine glass that was half drank was taken along with my napkin and cutlery. My entree came as soon as returned I asked the server for another napkin and fork. The fork came immediately the napkin when I was just about finished and the wine was replaced ( free of charge) at the end of the meal. If this was my business I would do something to protect my brand.

Birthday Brunch

By Wander |

We had a great time celebrating my birthday at Parc this weekend. The food was awesome as always and we were sat right by the window in time to watch the snow begin to fall. A truly picturesque meal. Only one complaint from us and that was the service. Our waiter kept forgetting my Diet Coke a total of 6 times throughout my meal I believe. We even asked the guy who ran out our meal if he could check on that. Our waiter continued to refill waters, we'd remind him about the soda and he said he would bring it, and when he eventually came back, no soda in sight. And the cycle continued. I only actually got the drink towards the end and honestly at that point, I didn't even really want it. What's more is the tables all around us would receive all of their drinks in a timely manor. Same waiter. Completely ignored. No asking for refills on bread. A hassle to flag down and never asked how our meal came out. It's not the usual experience we receive at Parc so I won't ding the restaurant itself for it, but I would definitely not want the same server.

A Lovely Meal - Cold Service.

By TAsaro |

The cuisine was quite lovely. My wife had the crispy artichokes and the Trout. I had the gazpacho and Sea Bass. Both appetizers were very flavorful. Our main courses were delicious. We split the Moelleux Au Chocolate - how could you go wrong? It did not disappoint. The downside was the server, Cesar. He was cold and impersonal to us. So much so that it downgraded our experience. Meanwhile, he was engaging and pleasant to his other guests. My wife and I did nothing- he was this way from the beginning with us before we were even able to say a word.

It’s a must in this city

A Taste of Paris

On Rittenhouse Square, it’s like walking into a Parisian bistro. Delicious food, knowledgeable waitstaff and fabulous ambiance.

The food was a 5! The server 3 out of 5. Rude.

The scallops were amazing and NY strip perfect with spinach. The decor and vibe was everything you wanted in a French restaurant.

Parc Brasserie Never Dissapoints

By nittanychick |

We had the pleasure to eat at Parc Brasserie 3 times on our last visit to Philly. Stopped in for a drink and mid afternoon snack, Friday night dinner and Monday afternoon lunch. Each visit we were warmly greeted and seated quickly. The staff was both professional and friendly. The drinks from the bar were excellent and bread basket is a must! The moules et frites were fabulous and I would highly recommend them to everyone. If you are visiting Philly please take the time to visit Rittenhouse Square. And there is no better spot to enjoy the scenery and people watch than Park Brasserie with an outside table.

Nice place for lunch

By Yair9 |

Good food kitchen and dining hall are very well coordinated and the flow during lunch time was nice to see. Go there the 20 minuts wait in rittenhouse Square was pleasent as well. Nice lunch for two with tip 75$ no drinks no desert.

No big Deal

By syanovsky |

Having been to Parc the last time I was in Philly, I looked forward to a repeat visit. I found the restaurant to be ear splittingly noisy and over priced. There we friends, we each ordered a different meal for dinner, and none of us was particularly pleased with what we ordered. I was quite disappointed after ordering an add on vegetable for my meal to see what was listed on the menu as hericot verts to be merely garden variety string beans. I expected a restaurant of this caliber to do better than that.

Great French restaurant in Philly

By Cornell100 |

I was in town for a few days for work and I stopped with a colleague for a coffee and dessert after we had tried dinner somewhere else. Amazing service, great taste, great quality, great location! We only regretted that we didn't have the full dinner there! I tried the Profiteroles and my colleague tried the Moelleux au chocolat, with a cappuccino. Incredible experience... the outdoor table made an even bigger difference. Stop by anytime, the place is in Rittenhouse square, safe and central and with great French dishes that will amaze and spoil you and your taste buds.

Interesting Restaurant but mixed Food Review

By Marv L |

Very interesting restaurant on Rittenhouse Square. First Stephen Star restaurant. Great atmosphere but noisy. Good outdoor seating. Very eclectic dinner menu from omelette to Steak Frittes. My lobster risotto was fabulous but my wife's steak fritte was so tough we could not cut it with a knife. We should have sent it back. We preferred the Love and Talulah Garden.

Reminded her of Paris

By J--Harpswell |

I thought I’d retired from writing reviews, but this evening we had a wonderful meal at Parc that merits comment. There are many great restaurants in Philadelphia, to be sure. Parc has been around for a while — a French-style brasserie. We stopped by here early for a pre-concert dinner not too far from our hotel. Parc is situated on Rittenhouse Square, — a pretty setting for a spring evening — is well staffed with very competent waiters, busy, but with attentive service. My companion contented herself with the soft shell crab special with asparagus, which was richly phenomenal. I started with a simple green salad, which was delightful with not much more than shaved radishes, haricot verts, and lettuce. My main course was the absolutely fabulous sardine appetizer with a side order of fries, though the sardines and bread would probably have been sufficient, in retrospect. Spirits list is not phenomenal, but adequate. French wines predominated — no surprise.

Great location and service, average food

By Frederick M |

The location and atmosphere at Parc are really perfect. We were, however, a little disappointed with the entrées. The roast chicken was a little dry and bland, and the steak frites was very tough. I expected a little better at this price range.

Paris meets Philly

By Dalisa R |

It was such a wonderful visit to Parc Brasserie! With the atmosphere that accurately imitates what it’s like to eat at a street side cafe in Paris, it’s spot on. The food was flavorful and executed well (highly recommend the passion fruit tart for dessert). The service was very professional. And of course just the liveliness of the people eating and walking past it felt like we weren’t in Philly anymore! Highly recommend to someone who wants the Parisian faire for lunch without paying for a plane ticket.

Rude staff unconcerned with immunocompromised customer

By Jory H |

My immunocompromised wife received unacceptable service from staff this morning. My wife Kristen, who is away on a business trip in Philly, had a breakfast reservation this morning with a client. My wife has long COVID, and given this condition can only do outdoor dining to limit contact during an active surge in COVID cases. The client informed her this morning that Parc is unable to seat them outside this morning. My wife called Parc to confirm this, but was received by a rude employee, who told her that they never do outdoor dining that early, “and we never will.” While I understand these are hard and trying times to be restaurant staff, and that staffing shortages can make it difficult to accommodate outdoor dining at all hours, we are both heartbroken by the basic lack of empathy this employee showed communicating this while working in the hospitality business. It is besides the point, but at no point does your website make any mention of when outdoor dining is or is not available during your hours – simply that you are “OPEN FOR PICKUP, DELIVERY, INDOOR AND OUTDOOR DINING” during all hours of service. We are full-time D.C. residents and enjoy Star Restaurants’ Le Diplomate (which has an incredible outdoor patio, and has been a highlight of our nights out navigating the past few COVID years). But given this unfortunate experience at Parc, it gives us pause to patronize these restaurants, knowing now that we are, in the eyes of some of the staff, a burden to accommodate and less deserving of your hospitality.

"Good experience - expensive wine"

By Mick S |

The cost of the wine spoilt our evening!!! On arrival we were told that the table would be 40 minutes so we waited next to the bar area. I asked the bar tender for a bottle of Haut Rian from the menu, as it was the cheapest by glass, and he said he would transfer the bill to our table. I made a mistake by not asking him the price of the bottle!!! We were served a lovely meal, two steaks (76$), Lobster Risotto (45$) and Duck (39$) plus side of mashed potatoes, the food was excellent. However the duck was small and they could have added another piece of duck breast to the plate (photo attached). When we received the bill I noticed the bottle of wine was not included, and being honest I told the waiter. He returned with a new bill and the wine was 75$, I was disappointed as the wine is mediocre and costs around 20$ outside. I don't mind a 50% mark up in a restaurant but this is far too much. I was going to argue the price, as the whole bill was now 281.22$. The staff were friendly and atmosphere very good, so I would return but not buy the wine. Its a pity as it ruined the evening, lesson learned, ask for the price of the wine, if not on a wine list/menu.

Excellent food and atmosphere

Authentic French bistro atmosphere, great service. Excellent food, drinks and deserts with reasonable prices. Highly recommend!

Sadly not as good as I expected

By Belle-Noel |

I was visiting my friend in NJ and we came to Philadelphia for the day and chose to eat here. The inside is styled exactly like a typical French brasserie and it was reminiscent of being back in Paris. The waitress suggested the tuna carpaccio to begin and for our mains we chose a burger with fries and mussels and fries. I thought the food was good but it was very average in my opinion - the fries were excessively salty that we left most of them. We decided to end with a dessert and chose the crème brûle which was actually very good - probably the best thing that I ate. I would say that this restaurant has all the charm of France but the food doesn’t quite hit the mark at every level. It is also expensive for what one gets and for the equivalent pricing in Paris, the food would be far better executed.

A taste of France, for a price

By LeCharlesbourgeois |

It offers classic French meals, a bit on the expensive side. The bread plate was great, and the meals were nice (beef bourguignon and Moroccan salmon), but the plates could have been warmer.

Very good food and experience

By The_Twit |

We came here hungry, hoping to have a 3-course meal, but we couldn't quite fit it all in! The mushroom tart was more like a personal pizza complete with flaky crust. It was rich and yummy. The crab and avocado app was tasty as well. For the main, I had the beef Bourguignon, which had the most tender meat - no knife needed. The gravy was really rich. My husband's duck was a little disappointing, flavor-wise. While it was moist, we were surprised there was no sauce of any kind, which seemed unusual and boring. We were shocked with the size of the place - it's huge! But still make reservations.

A taste of Europe....without leaving Phila

By Hope Susan B |

I was invited here for brunch. It was a beautiful summer day. People who passers-by the entire hour & a half that we dined. The people-watching was entertaining ! This brasserie has a nice outdoor space, but we chose to eat inside because it was about 90 degrees that day. My host ordered the salade nicoise & seemed to enjoy it, although I never would have ordered it, unless the tuna was fresh (not canned). I ordered the moules (mussels) which were served in a delicious white wine broth. Their bread is excellent, and of course I overdid it on dunking the bread in the broth ! My moules came with "frites" which also made their way into the broth ! All in all, it was filling & delicious. I didn't check the price because I was being treated, but I suspect my mussels dish was in the range of $30-35? Service was very good. Indoor ambience also very nice.

Overpriced and makes fools of customers

By SincereAdvisor |

Well have you tried the bread? That’s all you hear; the bread the bread and the bread. Folks wake up its bread. If you would like to go to a Resturant where the kitchen staff and the server takes the piss out of the customers this is the place for you. We went in July party of 8 and we have a server with an attitude. Wonderful just what I need and if his attitude was not enough I decided to order the special. Well it’s quite obvious that the Kitchen staff is having a laugh. If it’s not bad that you’re getting screwed on the quality of the food but they have to make it obvious. Needless to say what we had to eat was worth 1/4 what we paid. Cooked as though it was bought from a frozen food place and heated up. This was the first time I ever went to the Parc and I can guarantee you the last.

Excellent meal

By freedmo |

Fun brasserie on Rittenhouse Square. The duck a l'orange and moules et frites were outstanding. The place is very busy and makes for fun people-watching.

Excellent food and service

By DaveW7504 |

This was a visit while on a trip with my brother and we could not have been more impressed. While the food was excellent the service was outstanding. Our server even picked up on the fact the brother might be vegan (he generally is) and offered to have them change the broth on his entree to be full vegan. His attentiveness and easy manner made the experience match the quality of the food. Even the bread was excellent. Highly recommend.

Great place!

Excellent service, delicious food! Perfect place for lunch and/or dinner. Also conveniently located at Rittenhouse square.

Incredible meal!

By Gus324 |

We lucked out and got a table despite it being packed and having no reservation. It’s a bustling beautiful restaurant. We were given a basket of fresh bread and our drinks came quickly. Great waiter who walked us through the menu. The mushroom tart and Tuna carpaccio were fabulous. The veal was great as well with a great sauce and mushrooms. Only criticism would be that the food was a bit salty. Starr restaurants are tops in Philly for a reason.

Thanksgiving for 2, one a vegetarian

By MuchTraveledOne |

A perfect meal. I, the vegetarian, was blown away by the celeriac soup and the mushroom tart, and was too full for dessert. (Instead, I had a very well-made cappuccino.) My brother got the full Thanksgiving dinner, and loved every bite, though it was more than he could eat. I highly recommend the cocktail that involves vodka, cucumber, and basil. Superb. I will go back sometime just for that. I hope this can become a Thanksgiving tradition for us

Poor management policies

I love Parc. But recently their customer service has declined. Despite most outside tables being available, Parc's hostess would not offer an outside table for drinks only at about 3:30p. I would understand if Parc prefers to reserve outside tables for dinner during peak dining times. But to refuse outside seating when most tables are available during a beautiful summer mid-afternoon, that's just poor planning and management.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lively. Our only complaint was that it was quite loud. We would definitely return.

Parc SUCKED! Worst Father's Day brunch ever

By Ernesto L |

We have been going to Parc since it opened. My Father's Day brunch was a catastrophic failure at all levels. There seems to be new management in place, and they are clearly incompetent. The kitchen and service were at the lowest level we have ever experienced in any Stephen Starr restaurant. We ordered a bottle of champagne to begin with. The service was mediocre and unprofessional. The manager seemed off and the waiter kept making excuses. Four of the five entrees ordered had issues. My daughter ordered the salad nicoise and did not like it. My son ordered a salmon Benedict that was delayed twice and tasted so poorly that he left half of it on the plate. His girlfriend's cheeseburger was missing the grilled onions, and the lettuce and tomato she asked for. My wife's moules frites, had not frites. My chicken club sandwich had a dry and tasteless piece of chicken, clearly from leftover chicken paillard. The restaurant was not that busy for Father's Day brunch, which should have been a clue. I will not be back. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere.

Great lunch

By NancyDPA |

My sister and I visited Parc for lunch while in the city for a museum tour. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside at the Parisian style tables, where we had a great view of Rittenhouse Square. We had the quiche and the roast beef sandwich and both our meals were delicious. The service was excellent and we had a wonderful experience.

A Philly Classic

By MRSTRAVELLER1 |

I had a lovely evening at Parc. It was recommended in every restaurant guide I came across prior to my trip - something of a Philly institution - a well loved & long established part of the city dining fabric. It’s a huge enterprise, with a spacious buzzy Parisian brasserie styled interior, plus an array of pavement tables, including a covered section of outdoor seating. The location near Rittenhouse Square is ideal, & the restaurant oozes buzz & atmosphere. Despite the rush, service was efficient & friendly, as was the greeting. Food was also very good, the menu full of french bistro crowd pleasers like onion soup & moules & frites. Loved it!!

Wow. So good.

Amazing! Wow. My friend told me I order the warm shrimp salad. It is to die for. The buerre blanc sauce on the perfectly cooked shrimp was the best “first bite” I have had in a very long time. Wonderful!!

Gone Downhill

By Yror 904 |

This restaurant used to be one of our favorites. Sadly, our past two visits were very disappointing. First off, it was a terrible Negroni! Overly sweet and pale red. Steak Frites at a French-style bistro should be exceptional. It was truly inedible. The steak was low quality. It was greasy, fatty, and hard to cut. The pommes frites were not crisp at all. Very soft and undercooked. Same with the artichokes. They were overpowering with grease. After the last two visits we are not interested in going back. Such a shame it's gone downhill.

Energetic

Four work colleagues met here for a post pandemic catch-up early dinner. We were greeted at the reception area by a group of friendly, personable, and accommodating members of the staff. Though we were close to our reservation time they allowed us time for a drink before being seated. Anticipating a lengthy, gossipy evening we headed straight for the bar! There were several seats available in the handsome surroundings. Here the mixologist was able to perfectly accommodate our varied whims. Afterwards Justin, the maître d' ,went out of his way to find us a table to our liking off the energetic main dining area. Drew was introduced as our server. What a gem he was! Not only was he helpful to us deciding on our food choices, his quirky personality suited our mood. We enjoyed friendly banter with him throughout the evening. His food recommendations were spot on. Everyone of us raved about the choices made. From the fresh oysters in the beginning to the vanilla profiteroles at dessert the meals were delicious. We could not have asked for a more perfect evening.

Moules Not Stored Properly????

By MomentsNotice |

Beautiful restaurant but I'll get to the chase. on Thursday March 2 my mother ordered moules frites and subsequently went home and threw them up 2 hours later. I don't know for sure that the moules was the reason but it is the only thing that she ate that I did not eat that day. And we all know how perishable moules can be. Just saying.... It's a stunning, fun, restaurant with a great vibe. We arrive around 6:30PM and it was packed so we had to wait a bit for a table but not too long. Service was just ok. I think the waitress was not happy that we just ordered one main course each, no drinks, and we two took up a table for four. Served promptly. Bread was outrageous. We bot a loaf of raison, nut for $10 to take home; also available baguette for $5. Yes, I would return and this time make a reservation. But wouldn't chance the moules again.

Tres Bien!

Very enjoyable evening at Parc. I wish it was just a bit smaller but loved the Parisian atmosphere. Bread basket alone is worth the trip. Food was very good (especially the mussels) and reasonably priced. Excellent and friendly service from Olivia. Sante!

Authentic French bistro!

By PeterAL10 |

My wife and I, and family members, have been enjoying Parc for years. Every meal of the day is well prepared. The generous bread basket contains the best bread in Philadelphia. Outside tables face Rittenhouse Square, so you can watch life go by.

Perfect brasserie

By HJT |

If I were a local, I would eat here five times a week, no doubt. Each dish was perfectly executed, the bread basket was delicious and generous, and the service was outstanding.

Great dinner

It was cold and it was raining, we were sitting outside and they had to move us to a less vulnerable to weather table. Onion soup- wonderful Roasted salmon- just great

Disappointing lunch, inattentive, slow service

By JayDeLo |

Based on the reviews, we came here for a late lunch. It was very disappointing. Service was inattentive. I may have ordered the wrong thing, but my medium cheeseburger came well done+. It took 20 minutes to replace it by which time my wife was through with her meal. The replacement was overly salty and nothing special for $25. No one asked if the meal was acceptable. I would not come back and I would not recommend Parc.

Pleasant afternoon experience

By Jordianne |

My friend and I stopped at Parc for midday cocktails. To start, our server, Talbert, was exceptional. In fact, he made the entire experience for us. Attentive, friendly and accommodating. Our cocktails were tasty and well prepared. The bread was delicious. We sat outside on a mild January day and were kept sufficiently warm by the heaters. We look forward to going back for a meal.

Oh my gosh - SO GOOD!

By The_Twit |

Booked a table for brunch a few weeks ahead of time (and we heard there was over an hour wait for those w/o reservations). We got a little table for 2 by the window and proceeded to enjoy an excellent meal. I'm a tea drinker and was impressed by their tea selection and service. Their custom black tea blend was very good. My husband got a cappuccino that had a pretty design on top! But on to the food! I'd read that the pastry basket was a must have, so we ordered that and declined the free basket of assorted breads that was offered. (Yes, there's such a thing as too much bread). Our pastry basket included crossaints, sweet and savory tarts, and a deliciously spiced "doughnut." We were careful not to over-indulge so we could eat our other food. My husband enjoyed his lobster cocktail and salmon tartine. I absolutely loved my quiche Lorraine, which was a huge slice of creamy, rich quiche with a little salad that had just the right touch of dressing. I hope I get to have it again sometime! The service was attentive - tons of employees were bustling about - although it did seem a little slow to get food, true to the French way. We were not in a rush, so it was fine.

Lively Brasserie on Rittenhouse Square

By NJChisoxFan |

This is a wonderful restaurant to visit because of the lively atmosphere (a true French brasserie) and great locationon Rittenhouse Square. The midday menu keeps it going between lunch and dinner, when most other restaurants are slow or closed. We had the mussels, which were very good. The beet salad was also good, but the mushroom tort was way too salty and the pastry was not up to speed. So I would say 4.5 stars but will give the benefit of the doubt for the pleasant experience.
