I have some serious doubts about the glowing reviews for this place. I tried the croissant and was very disappointed by the quality. It is not at all the buttery, flakey croissant one would expect from a bakery. There was no difference between their croissant and the cheap, mass produced from frozen dough “croissants” found at a supermarket or other big box store.

My husband and in-laws brought my back a bag full of treats from here after a trip to Philly. The cream filled treats with fresh fruit were very good - and huge. Had I been willing, they are definitely sized to share.

This branch of what is apparently a Korean chain is handy for snacks and light meals when shopping in Chinatown/Reading terminal. You enter the cleanly designed, modern space and are immediately confronted with delicious choices---French style pastries and light sandwiches to your right, and soft, croissant-like breads stuffed with cheese, hotdogs, garlic butter, etc to your left. There are also sliced loaves of that soft, butter-friendly milk bread so beloved by Koreans and Japanese. (I am neither.) My husband and I have tried and loved the strawberry cream cake, the generously fruit-topped tart and the chicken salad roll. The tea selection is fine, and I can't resist the iced matcha "frappe." The various puddings are light and not too sweet. I confess to a weakness for the milk bread, which is great for breakfast toast. We've dropped by several times since we discovered this cafe. Fresh, good quality ingredients are not cheap---at Paris Baguette, the prices are commensurate with the quality.

It was very good and the clean design of the bakery was very refreshing. I would definitely stop by again.

Obviously this is France as interpreted through the lens of Korea, but the food was solid. The curry croquettes were a bit sweeter than I liked, but the almond cheese ring and yuzu mochi donut were solid. I also got a chai latte, which was rather on the sweet and milky side, so just bear in mind that everything is going to be a bit sweet, even the savory. It was a lovely breakfast for a trip, although if I was comparing it to Korean bakery chains from back home, Tous le Jours is much better.

Happening upon this cafe a few blocks from our airbnb was an unexpected win! It has delicious sandwiches, and many treats. The service is friendly! Enjoyed the chocolate croissant, on one occasion, and then tea with a custard tart on a rainy afternoon. Bonus was the wifi!

Surprise in China town, French baguettes, croissants and other specialties. Good quality of food and friendly staff. Also clean washroom!

Wow, really nicely displayed and well organized bakery. The quality is awesome and we have lots of people in and out of the store. It is pretty spacious including self grabbing trays and also eat in tables. Overall, good place for sweets.

I was going with my family to paris baguette and it was cake day for a free slice of cake. when we got there in the afternoon, there were no slices of cake left for us and everyone else even though there were multiple full cakes that they could've cut.

Very much enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Very nice staff. Delicious pastries. Good stop on the way to the con.

I got used to spend $50 a week on pastries there but after today’s bad horrible experience I would not be back. My 6 yo traditionally stopped by there every weekend for a snack. Since he is on special diet, he couldn’t have anything there, so we would bring his snack with us while I enjoy the cafe’s pastries and coffee. Today they screamed at my kid rudely saying that we can’t bring outside food, although I bought bunch of of their pastries for myself and family. Funny that they let other people have one drink and sit there for several hours and people that actually buy food and spend money there are not honored . Never going back there again.

What a lovely restaurant! It is a place to get coffee and lattes, sandwiches and cakes, Greek yogurt with berries and other desirable edible treats. This shop is convenient to shopping and transportation. It is situated in the Chinatown section of Philadelphia a couple of blocks from The the Convention Center. I recommend this delightful place. It is open 7 AM to 2 PM daily. Enjoy!!!

We went to the one in the strip mall that was between 6th and 7th on Washington Ave. I had coffee a few times (really good and REALLY hot coffee) and we both had cherry Danishes a few times. We also had a chocolate chip cookie and I tried the Feuillete au Chocolat. Yummy!

Wonderful first visit to the Chinatown location. Not as many choices as the one in New York, but the choices were tasty and fresh - absolutely loved the crab slaw sandwich! Restaurant was very clean and the staff refilled the soap in the restroom when I informed them that it was empty.

This is a nice little cafe serving french bakery goods. It’s warm, comfortable and a great smelling respite from the weather outside. Coffee was average but then again, practically all coffee in the US is sub-standard.

This place is very modern and clean/industrial inside. The walls are lined with glass cases housing desserts and pastries and you grab a tray and help yourself. Once you are all set you make your way up front which is more of a modern coffee shop, cafe, bubble tea bar and pay for your order and place an order for any drinks you may want. This is a very modern Asian/European style cafe. The drinks are made fresh and interesting combinations like the berry/milk/matcha late I tried! Definitely worth checking out!

I ordered their Valentines Day cake and it was delicious. It isnt like any other icing so it was more whipped cream. Their almond cheese pastry was my fav!!!!!

Love the Desserts! Great assortment of French pastries and desserts with surprisingly only average coffees. Overall, come here before dinner so you can fully enjoy!
Novel Experience
Visiting from the UK and came across this wonderful little cafe/ patisserie by chance near China Town as the first place we wanted to eat was closed for Labour Day. You enter pick up a tray and a set of tongs choose your own food, then take it to the till point, where if needed they heat it also make any drinks that you might need. Although not a very large restaurant there was enough room to sit and enjoy your food. Alas I didn’t have any cake and boy was there lots of lovely ones to choose from, hopefully if I’m around that area again in the next couple of days I’ll definitely be going back in. I think it’s the only one in Philadelphia as on there wall was a list of places they have branches, alas not in Washington DC my next port of call, unless anyone knows different.
