Steak Cooked To Perfection

By Jake F. |

Recently ate here for dinner with my wife. I had the 14oz top sirloin and my wife had the BBQ chicken salad. I asked for my steak to be cooked at medium and it was cooked perfectly and very tender. One of the best steaks I have had at a restaurant for under $25. Very good value. BBQ chicken salad was also pretty good. Only bummer is no avocado on it :( They also had a great selection of draft beer and ciders!

Pleasant surprise

By Bluindallas |

My husband and I had dinner here as it was across the street from our hotel. I had the fish and chips and he had the Parkstone tri dip sandwich, we also had the fried deviled eggs as an appetizer. Everything was delicious. The service was good, the food and the prices weren't bad. Very pleased with everything

Excellent food and Service

By thadcpa |

First time visit. The service was first-rate. Server continually checked on us. The Kitchen manager also made a visit to make sure all was good. The food also excellent.

First visit

By Tony B |

We called our order in and by the time we got there it was ready. The ribs good, moist and tender. The halibut was a little tough but not dry. Mashed potatoes and asparagus were good. We were surprised by the packaging fee, but it was only $2.11. Overall it good but for $30 per entrée we expected better.

The smell will draw you in

By 413lanih |

This place always smells amazing. Service was good not personable but professional which makes for a more average experience. This in turn makes the food taste average instead of outstanding. Basic salad, veggie and protein meal. The grilled veggies were good, cornbread is always good. (I wish it was served with honey butter). Ribeye was really fatty and flavor was a little inconsistent. BBQ chicken breast was moist and tender.

Very Good Food

By rachaeloconnor75 |

Very good and fast. Perfect place to go if you're early for your flight. The is probably the best French Dip I've had. We will be back

Wow 😋

Airport area surprise, and good

By bluesberryguilford |

My wife and I had to send one last night in Portland near the airport prior to our early morning flight home. A new friend recommended Parkstone, near the airport and IKEA, in the mall. We went during happy hour and sat at the bar and ordered small plates. The bartender was very friendly and we started with Oregon wine and a gimlet. We next ordered cornbread, ahi tuna, and grilled veggies.....they were all excellent....this place has a huge number of draft beers, wine and cocktails....by the time we left, the place was packed....a good sign for a local spot near the airport...highly recommended for the area.

Never use UBER EATS with parkstone wood kitchen!

By Marc I |

Worst first experience ever with Parkstone and Uber eats. Meal was made completely wrong. I understand that mistakes happen but as a responsible business they should feel obligated to satisfy the customer. With Parkstone who actually made the mistake , I received an arrogant attitude from the manager Lucas (if thats even his name). He told me to contact Uber and that he could do nothing for me. Then he refused to give me any information to contact somebody other than himself to resolve this situation. So i called Uber, thinking they sou;d help[ me rectify this situation. WRONG! Uber said they would give me a $5 credit towards my next Uber eats> WHAT?!! Really?!! What a joke! LUCAS....... YOU SUCK AND YOU SHOULD BE DISGUSTED BY YOUR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Great

By Leslie L |

Hubby & I went here after flying to the west coast. Our hotel shuttle driver took us. It was great for food, ambience, and service. We had 1 glass red wine, 1 half rack ribs meal, a tri-tip meal, and a huge cheesecake. Total before tip was $69.50.

A nice find if you are out at the Airport

By Tim98166 |

I was staying in town a few days and tried a new place every night. This place was a very pleasant surprise! I guess it is a chain, but they only have 3 locations, each in a different state. A good selection of beer on tap, and the food was really good. Quite a cross section of choices. If I am in the area again, I would not hesitate to go back.

Chilly but great food

By mushbigdog |

First time to this restaurant, we came for an early dinner around 4:00 Lots of choices on their menu, but the wood grilled meat had to be the highlight and probably most popular choice. I had the grilled tri tip steak with corn bread and corn on the cob. the steak was very good with a great smoky flavor, the corn bread was home made and it was a real fresh grilled whole corn on the cob, not the little frozen kind that most places give you. My wife had the barbequed chicken salad which she said was very good. My only complaint about this place was that it was cold inside. I told the wait staff but I couldn't tell that any change had been made

Disappointing meal

By Virginia B |

Was not impressed! I had a steak salad -- it had a great dressing on it but very little meat (not even 3 oz). Our server was fabulous but the entire restaurant only had 2 servers and the bar tender (doing bar tending and delivering food to tables). The manager even stepped in to deliver food. Our hotel recommended this restaurant but I was disappointed. There were a lot of restaurants in this shopping center so look at all of the choices first...

Another good meal

By MarkKauf |

This is the third time we have eaten dinner at ParkStone. It’s our favorite spot when we are flying out of PDX. The food is consistently well prepared and our server, Kami, was really pleasant and helpful. We ordered the tri-tip dinner and a blue cheese burger. Both were quite good. The Thai Peanut slaw is tasty. We’ll be back on our next trip from PDX.

OUTSTANDING!!!

By Reebokk |

Our first time here ended up being one of our best dining experiences in years! The food was absolutely DELICIOUS! The chips and salsa were house made, and that guacamole was sooo good!!! The citrus pecan salad was very tasty, and the southern fried chicken was incredibly moist with a satisfying, crispy breading that had a nice, subtle spice to it. Our server, Carlos, was absolutely on point and assisted with several tweaks to our meal to meet our personal dietary needs. The manager, Jen, was very engaging and attentive to her guests (I just loved her!), while overseeing a tight, well-run restaurant where the staff clearly enjoy working together. We are so excited to return and try their wood-fired dishes next, as we slowly work our way through their menu! Easily one of the most exciting restaurants we’ve found in years!

Javier the bartender - a great plus!

By trawlerdoxie |

We stopped here after dropping off a relative at the airport. They were busy so we opted for the bar and the huge TV behind it. My partner ordered the fish & chips & I ordered a half rack of ribs - which were fall off the bone delicious. The fish was good, the chips - ho hum. The Thai slaw is excellent & unusual. But Javier really made the evening for us.

Get the corn bread

By Paul L |

The corn bread was amazing. The burgers were very good and the selection of beer was very good. Little loud with the open seating floor plan but overall a great experience. Service was really good too

What a Great Find

By Frank P |

This place is great. Wife had tortilla soup and Thai slaw. She loved both of them. I had a combo plate of short ribs and chicken with BBQ sauce. It was super. My sides were corn bread and corn on the cob. The cob was cooked over a grill and was sweet. The corn bread was more like a dessert. Both were very tasty. Great service and nice environment. We will be back anytime we are heading to the airport.

It’s an open and air feeling

By Pieter V |

It’s an open and air feeling restaurant. The chips salsa and guacamole had great flavor. Angela was our server and provided great service.

Best Taproom Food

By Katherine S |

After an unexpected layover at the Portland airport, a shuttle driver at a nearby hotel suggested this restaurant. Being a pescatarian/vegetarian, I have come to expect that salads what I can expect at this type of place. Was I wrong! Besides the dozens of beer choices and a pleasing wine list, the menu is full of appetizing choices for my meat-eater partner and myself. The portions are generous. Entrees include two side dishes of your choosing...and the choices were good. I loved the Thai slaw and grilled veggies. Partner got fresh cornbread and red potato mash. I loved my grilled shrimp; Les loved his ribs and shrimp. The service was great!!!! Located in Cascade Station close to airport....worth a taxi ride!

Great visit; not blown away

By ianschneller |

Four stars for me is a good rating, one in which I'd gladly come back. But I wasn't blown away. The service was fine, the food was good, but the seating and surroundings weren't intimate or anything out of the ordinary. I enjoyed a steak and several craft beers, which there are plenty to choose from. Very convenient to the airport.

Underwhelming

By Iris H |

Looking for a spot near the airport since we were staying at an airport hotel on our last night in Oregon. We read some reviews and thought ParkStone might be our best choice. We arrived at 4pm on a Friday afternoon and it was nearly empty though the shopping center it is located in was quite busy. We shared the fried asparagus to start. It was tough to chew and the coating tasted a bit stale. I went with the barbecued chicken since I didn't want a sandwich and my husband opted for a chicken sandwich. I would consider both to be average. Not great, not bad, but nothing I'd return for again. Best part of the meal may have been the ice cold draft beer we both enjoyed.

Good Good, a little pricey

By Burns57777 |

I stopped in for dinner. I ordered the tri tip dip. The food was very good. I ordered the Thai slaw instead of fries and was not disappointed. They have a very nice craft beer selection. Service was friendly but food prep was a little slow.

Good food, service a little slow

By David-Vero |

This place was walking distance from my hotel. The fish tacos were good and the Cadillac margarita was great. The server was a little “off.” I had to wait too long for him to stop by and check up on me. Varied menu with choices.

ParkStone Wood Kitchen + Taps 9921 NE Cascades Pkwy, Portland, OR

By Ge0rgetravels |

Tried this place on a recent visit to Portland, Oregon. It is close to the airport so that was convenient for us. We arrived just as they were opening for the day, so we got seated immediately. Staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Good variety of things to choose from on the menu. All food was delivered fresh, hot, and very good. I had one of their tri-tip sandwiches. It was very good. Bottom line.... I would certainly dine here again!

Great choices for great prices in touristville

By Jlwlarson76 |

We stopped here as a group of 6 on the way to drop a friend at the airport when we didn't want to go to one of the neighboring national chains. Great menu variety at several price-points for people to pick from. Massive tap selection. I had a combo plate with grilled shrimp and ribeye steak with 2 sides and it was only about $25, which I consider a good deal for surf and turf in a pretty trendy area near the airport. Steak was done perfectly. Shrimp wasn't super impressive, but was still good. Then, I had a hard time choosing between side options (me and a friend considered just ordering 6-7 of their side dishes as or meal)... and the cornbread and Brussel sprouts didn't disappoint! Our only gripe was it was cold out, and our table was close to the front door... so we had a blast of cold air every time a guest came or went. It would have been nice if the restaurant would have had a double-door entryway. I'm never thrilled if I have to eat dinner with my coat on.

Airport area worth the visit

By Bonbear |

Within the Airport Way hotel district is this full service restaurant with full bar and a huge beer selection-but the food is star here. Service was excellent as well. We will return when staying at PDX

Amazing!

By Food and drink |

Angie was our awesome server and recommended the Steelhead Salmon. We also had mashed sweet potatoes, grilled corn on the cob, and grilled asparagus. Absolutely delicious!

Dinner

By FLNavymom |

Egg burger with bacon was delicious! Messy so ask for extra napkins-worth it! Tri-tips were amazingly good. Got adventurous our first night in Portland and tried the apricot cider - nice!

Dinner

By Burns57777 |

I dropped in for dinner one night. They had a really good blue cheese burger with spicy coleslaw. The draft beer list is respectable with many to choose from. They do have a happy hour with a few buck off drinks and appetizers. Service was fast and friendly.

So good we ate dinner here two nights in a row!

By springva |

Our hotel front desk clerk recommended ParkStone and it fit our criteria to a tee (close to the Residence Inn, local, not a chain, great food). It was pretty crowded on the Saturday evening when we showed up 6 pm-ish), but the hostess said we could share a multi-person table in the bar area or wait 30+ minutes for our own table. The bar area won out! We ordered local beer, a Reuben and a tri-tip sandwich. Folks were friendly and the food was great. Went back the next night since their menu was so enticing. Again we sat in the bar area and had fish and chips and the citrus pecan salad with salmon. Excellent! Highly recommend if you're in the area around PDX.

Over-Priced!

By Chuang004 |

We 4 came here for lunch after we checked in Embassy. Just a 15 minutes walk. The restaurant seated in an out-door shopping mall. The settings and decoration were simple, decent and clean. Service was responsive and cordial. We had ordered: Wood Grilled Shrimp with Caesar Salad ($18); Market Fish-Mahi with Caesar Salad ($19); Fish & Chips ($13) and Bowls of Tortilla Soup ($6). Foods were good but over-priced.

Excellent wood-fired grill steaks and fish

By Gary C |

It is just off Interstate 205 by Portland International Airport in a large shopping center. It was almost filled when we arrived a little after 5 and was so before 5:30. We sat at a high table for happy hour, thinking we would soon move to a table. It was too full to do so. There is a huge list of beers on tap. Patrons were having that and/ or wine and mixed drinks. We had an appetizer of asparagus fries and then entrees of Mahi Mahi and steelhead trout. We each added two included sides of choice. The service was good. We would go back.

Good Food, Good Beer

By Craig W |

Great choice of craft beers and service is very good. Tri-Tip was awesome as was my server Darby. It is a hoping place but you can still have a conversation at your table with out shouting.

Good choice for dinner

By WanderingShal |

A very decent spot for dinner if you are close staying close to the airport. Their wood grilled items, especially the chicken and shrimp are very good. Their tortilla soup is very good as well.

Good food but a bit overpriced on beverages

By Lloyd0815 |

Food was very good with use of fresh ingredients. Beer selection varied and good selection. Only draw back prices were a bit high but guess that's the price for being close to shopping and Portland airport.

A very plesent surprise.

By CWtravels42 |

We had driven by here many times but thought it would be too pricey or fancy for us. We gave it a try and it is a really nice place. We were spending the night near the airport before and early flight. My wife had the grilled shrimp and I had the 5oz tri-tip. Both were very good and plenty to eat. We both had the mashed potatoes, also very good. Carlos was our server and he checked on us several times. The margaritas were good also.

Lunch

By tamrisa |

Super excited about our first time visiting Portland, Oregon and we hopped off the plane ready to enjoy our trip. My husband and I found this restaurant when we searched the airport area for a good spot to eat lunch. There was a lunch crowd and the young male host informed us that there was a 10-15 minute wait. He took our name and cell phone number to send us a message when the table was ready. We told him that we would be waiting at the bar which was 25 feet away. He acknowledged what we said with no smile, no expression, no friendly demeanor, whatsoever. The bartender, Faith, was greeted us with a smile and was excellent! After about 25 minutes we noticed that the people waiting had been seated, AND the people entering were being seated immediately. When my husband went over to inquire, the very stoic young man stated that he called our name (which must have been a whisper because we were sitting 25 feet away), and since we did not respond, he figured we weren’t interested (he never even sent a text to the cell number that he had taken down). He pointed at a table and said we could have a seat there and he would bring over the menus. The waitress, Mandi, started to tell us that we would have to wait AGAIN, but realized that we had already been waiting, immediately changed her demeanor, and we ended up having a better dining experience because of her attentiveness. The grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, and Trip Tip Dip sandwich were yummy! If this review was solely based on Faith, Mandi, and the food, it would’ve been a 5, but unfortunately the unfriendly host makes it a 3. First impressions are so important!

Excellent choice for lunch

By lynchburgfoodie542 |

Our first full day in Portland and we were looking for something light to have for lunch near the hotel. We walked to the Cascade Station shopping center to check the restaurants and settled on the Park Stone. The restaurant is very bright with window walls and a very open space. The tables are made of wood and the seating is leather (leather-like) covered booth seats, wooden chairs, and bar stools at the bar, which accommodates 10-12 people. They have a amazing array of beers on tap, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages. The staff was very friendly and always ensured we had everything we needed. Although they feature wood-fire cooking, we want a light meal and settled for salads. My wife ordered the Citrus and Pecan Salad, which featured chopped greens, avocado, apple slices, mandarin oranges pieces, berries, some bleu cheese and toasted pecans with a raspberry vinaigrette dressing ($12). She thought it was absolutely excellent. I ordered the Thai Peanut Kale Salad which was a relatively simple salad with chopped kale, peanuts, parmesan cheese, croutons, and an excellent Thai peanut sesame vinaigrette dressing ($10). Although I like the bitterness of kale, the dressing seemed to lessen that bitterness. Again, an amazing salad. Definitely a place to stop for luncher dinner.

Surprisingly Good Food in a Shopping Center

By Donna S |

My husband and I often eat at Cascade Station near the Portland airport when flying in or out. We'd never tried this one before, but thanks to T.A. did so for the first time. The food (organic bbq chicken breast, corn on the cob, corn bread, skewered shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables) was everything it should be: flavorful, plentiful, fresh, and served hot. This place is Nirvana for beer drinkers with 30+ beers on tap. The service was OK. One slight dislike: it's a very loud, pub-type restaurant. We had to sit side-by-side to hear each other. ....which actually turned out to be a nice thing.

great food

By dianacu |

Very good food but a little expensive. Service was wonderful. Has lots of different kinds of beer on tap.

We enjoyed it a lot

By Donald A |

In spite of waiting a half an hour for a table due to COVID guidelines, the wait was worth it. Mandi gave us great and efficient service. While it looked like beer was the big item, the wine list was adequate and the pours were ample. We enjoyed the deep fried deviled eggs as a starter. We each had a half a slab of ribs and they were nice and moist. Cole slaw a bit spicy hot which I liked. Prices very reasonable. Recommend

Awesome homemade cornbread

By christy |

I had rib eye steak, mashed potatoes, & cornbread. You could taste the wood on steak didn't even need steak sauce. Cornbread was very moist and excellent. Very large selection of beers on tap.

First time, and first impression was very good!

By Rgelmett |

Staying over night by the Airport, and called for reservation...busy, but the service was outstanding, and the foodvery delicious

I was surprised!

By amoomba |

Dropped by to quench my thirst. Just happened to be Happy Hour. Figured they might have a few beers on tap. Much to my delight, they had several dozen ( forgot to count). Lots of breweries I was anxious to try. Reasonably priced. The HH food I saw delivered to others looked good and substantial. I’ll be back when in the area again. So if your significant other wants to go shopping at Cascade Station, go along and do a little “shopping” on your own. Good service. Kitchen in the open. Enjoy.

Nice Happy Hour

By psbagley |

We stopped in around 3:30 wanting a quick bite. The Happy Hour was fantastic for drinks & appetizers. Huge portions so we all left full with take home. The hummus plate was delicious—3 varieties with flat bread from the grill, tomatoes & cucumbers. We also had asparagus fries—loved them! The chips with salsa & guacamole was good, but I prefer a little more heat. Good service & plenty of tv’s for entertainment.

Fresh food, elegantly presented with efficient service

By Linda D |

Inviting atmosphere for dinner, with food that tasted as good as it looked. I enjoyed the pecan citrus salad with chicken, that included avocado, fresh strawberries, apple slices. Servers were pleasant and professional. I prefer food that tastes fresh and try to avoid processed foods; this place was a great choice!

Great airport and shopping area restaurant

By Erik R |

Great location: part of a shopping complex and very close to the airport. This is a casual restaurant but very smart looking, with a creative and reasonably priced menu. Service is very good.

Reubens and Beer

By HomelessEastCoast |

We went as a group of 7. Since there were few if any tables that could accommodate that large a group, we ended up sitting on stools around a high table. Several of us ordered the reuben sandwich and all agreed that it was among the best that we have ever eaten. The corn beef was perfect, thin sliced and no fat. The sauerkraut was tasty and added just that bit of extra taste treat. In addition we ordered the dark beer (stout) from the house brewery and it was delicious. The service was fast and friendly and there was no problem with separate checks. One concern was that the acoustics were such that it was very loud with the sound reverberating thus making it difficult to hear one another, especially at the stool table with no enclosed space around it.

Nice place for dinner

By Lipadad |

This place was recommended by a driver from the airport to the hotel, so we thought we'd give it a try. Glad we did, as the food was good. Big and open, so it was a bit loud though. The salad dressing was tangy, the tender steak had a good wood smoke flavor, and the hummus was good. I'd return if in the area again.

Flavorless dry food and customer service wasn’t much better.

By Brian907 |

Had a long day and was looking forward to a good steak dinner, but boy was I disappointed! Ordered the fillet mignon steak medium rare w/ roasted vegetables and steak fries. The steak was dry and flavorless. You think if they used a wood grill you would pick up some smokiness but no not really. Roasted vegetables were mushy but hay the steak fries turned out nice and crispy! Would not recommend eating any of their steaks or mushy vegetables!

Great food, beer and service...build one in Austin!

By Zamigaos |

We were staying across the street at the Hyatt Place and used our Trip Advisor App to find a place to eat that was close to us. Parkstone fit the bill perfectly. We wanted to try some local beer and get a good meal within walking distance. We were there on a Sunday night and it was not extremely busy and we sat at a tall table in the bar where we could watch Sunday football. Service was great. Our server helped us select beer off the local menu of beers available on tap. And, her suggestions were spot on! The menu is large with enough options to fit just about every taste. We had the grilled shrimp and a grilled fish sandwich. The sides were great - loved the Brussel's sprouts. Everything was very fresh, well presented, and served quickly. We even splurged on the calories for dessert. Chocolate cake and it was yummy. Wish we had one of these in Austin, TX!! We're a cool, hip town...like Portland. Just a lot hotter in the summer.

Good

By NittanyL |

Good atmosphere. TV screens etc. We had calamari appetizer followed by salmon, ribeye and burger entrees. Calamari was very good. Salmon special was pricey for tiny portion, dry in middle. I got small ribeye which was prepared “thin”. Husband like his ribeye combo platter (think it was rib combo) better than I liked my ribeye. I loved brussel sprouts and corn bread sides though. Burger was good/typical. Great beer selection. Waitress very helpful with selections. Very good service. Overall good, not great. Would go back.

Great Beer Selections

By crestlinecolorado |

I love tap houses and the knowledgeable staff that work there. I had two dinners here on my trip to Portland. Great local beer selections. Good salad and dinner entrees. Just a little too noisy for me. Very popular restaurant so plan accordingly.

Yummy dinner

By EmEs |

Just staying overnight across the street at the Hyatt, and the front desk suggested we walk across the street to Parkstone. Although it was busy, we didnt need a reservation and were seated right away, on a Friday eve. We were glad we did, as the burger was very good as was the fried chicken. The chicken was scrumptious and was accompanied by a perfectly cooked ear of corn and mashed potatoes, and I asked for the gravy on the side, for dipping . Although I couldn't eat it all, I wished I could take it on the plane that next morning! It was really yummy.

Good not very large

By Mike A |

Went on a whim on a Monday night. While busy the issue is the amount of tables. As a party of 2 waited for 20 min. There is a surprising small number of tables. The food quality and service was excellent. Only issue is too many servers. They cris crossed each other. Will still go back. For a mall place not too bad

Moderately priced and great atmosphere

By Ellen M |

We were in town for a weekend Dance festival and took a free shuttle from the hotel at the Portland Airport to near the ParkStone Wood Kitchen twice. The food was very good, interesting, nicely presented, and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was welcoming and modern. It is very busy and we ended up waiting for seating, but only for 10-15 min.

Very interesting menu options

By Claudia B |

I went with a colleague for a quick dinner after traveling across country. The fried deviled eggs are a treat! The fried asparagus is very tasty. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and very easy to find. Although I didn't try the beer, I understand they have a wide variety of locally made beer, so there should be something for everyone. Worth a try. Our server was pleasant and very knowledgeable about the menu so she could offer suggestions and recommendations. She even provided beer samples so my colleague could choose the one he liked best.

Pretty good restaurant in nice, lively part of town

By Nick F |

I was looking for a casual restaurant (not a chain) close to my airport hotel. This was a good find. It was very popular and, as others have said, very loud. It looked like diners were having a lot of fun at the bar. I ordered a dinner salad and I found it very good. The price was not low, but very fair for what I had. Service was a little slow, but I had nowhere else to go but to the hotel, so it was OK. Enjoyed walking through the area on the way back to my car. Not gourmet food, but certainly fine enough for me.

Great food and excellent beer tap list

By Travelpro G |

Based on reviews and recommendations from locals went there for dinner. Glad I did, staff was friendly and helpful, the food was very good. The atmosphere is upbeat and modern. I will go again with in the area

Had lunch here today . They

By Conservaterian |

Had lunch here today . They asked me to stand outside the door (raining) until they got a mask for me. I had to hold the mask to my face because the strings pull my hearing aids off. After we got to our table our waiter came over and would not get any closer then ten feet to talk when he brought our waters he leaned way over and slide them on the edge of the table and stepped back. I ordered a cider and waited he took almost ten minutes to bring it with about six people in the place and three waiters. He only came back to do the check never asked about the meal which was ok. Mask gestopo to everyone.

The Best Food We Had During a Five Week Trip to the USA

By ALBJRB |

Within a suburban shopping centre, (conveniently near to Portland Airport), is this absolute gem. The menu, (both food and drinks) is excellent and everything we had was sensational. What really works so well is that it is really fresh and health tasting, with masses of flavour. The ribs were melt in the mouth delicious, the fish tacos so so good, the fries hot, fresh and just right. (They even give you the option of vinegar as well as ketchup) and the Thai peanut slaw was perfect. Even my daughter’s veggie burger was really good. There is a fresh lemonade available, (today it was mango), which was amazing and I had a blackberry cider which lived up to my hopes of fruity, not too sweet or dry. The service was also very professional, personable and friendly. The best meal we had in the US (and we’d tried a few) - Washington DC, NYC, Seattle, Alaska, Cannon Beach (Oregon).

Fast, quiet, good service

By Frank Ludvik |

Walked in, luckily there was not a wait. Sat at the bar, the waiter was there at the right time, made a good suggestion for a glass of wine. Just ordered the chips with Guac and a wedge salad.

So good, we went twice

By kailua321 |

The first time was during dinner hour and it was understandably a bit noisy (non-peak hours are quiet), but the service was excellent. And the food was delicious. We especially enjoyed the Grilled Fish Sandwiches, the unique Thai Slaw and the not-greasy tasty fries. Plus, the burger was ample and flavorful.

Great food and cocktails

By Tony R |

We were pleasantly pleased that this recommendation from the Marriott desk proved true. Friendly staff lots of menu choices that are all reasonably priced. Wood fired grill made everything taste fantastic! Will go back on our next trip.

Not that great

By 622bj24 |

The food here was below average. BBQ chicken was overcooked. Salad lacked flavor. My colleague said that the ribs were mediocre. Find another place to eat in this area.

Just ok

By HikeEatRepeat |

We walk in and are told it’ll be a 20 minute wait. We’re the only people waiting and there’s a table open. We sit for about 10 minutes and then our name is called to go to the table that’s been open since we walked in. Just strange. I had the French dip sandwich and it was good, however my husband got the ribeye and it was horrible. It was a very tough & fatty cut of meat. Not sure we’d go back.

good food

By Teresa M |

we were flying out early in the morning, so tried this place for dinner...i had a corona, and my partner had a stella...next we shared the grilled fish burger and veggie peanut thai cole slaw.....everything was delicious and watching football was the icing...nice staff too...thx

Good choice at Cascade Station

By cleanengen |

The Parkstone has the best dinner options at Cascade Station. The ambiance is nice the the service good.

Great food and service !!

By Paola ks |

Great place this was recomendable by the hotel staff. Great food and services was on point . Definitely coming back again

oh so good

By cylynner |

this place is simply amazing. There are really no words expect YUM! I wish there was one of these restaurants in Spanish fork Utah. I would be glad to run it and it would be busy all day every day. The deep fried eggs and deep fried asparagus was out of this world.

Isabelle was awesome

By ScubaSteve |

Loved all the local beer options. The young female bartender working January 19 (evening) was so nice and efficient. Isabelle I think was her name. Amazing food too and convenient location (near airports)

Lunch after Airport Pick up

By Elizabeth N |

Seemed to not have enough employees because everything was very slow. Food was ok but stayed with us all night. Location was good.

Nice vibe and good value

By sbh858 |

This is for sure the best restaurant out near the airport. Nice upbeat vibe with a sports TV over the bar if that is what you are looking for, or family or group tables (both high and low, and tables and booths). Service was friendly and fast - maybe even too fast (we were half way through our appetizers before our drinks came). The food was ok: some good some just ok. Our brussel sprouts appetizer came in a balsamic sauce that was really nice, and the sprouts were cooked perfectly and exceptionally tasty! Cannot say the same for the calamari, which we expected to be more traditional (i.e. lightly breaded and fried with a marinara sauce). The breading was so heavy that you hardly could tell there was any calamari inside. And the sauce was an Asian sweet and hot pepper sauce, so we thought we were in a Chinese restaurant. Disappointing to say the least. We split the Ahi Tuna salad - very large portion, and the tuna was perfectly cooked and spiced. The lettuce was cold, varied and interesting, but it seemed almost like it was a pre-prepared plate that had been in the refrigerator for an hour or two, just not quite as crisp as it looked. Prices were very reasonable. While the wine list was poor, there were a couple good choices and I am not taking that into account in my rating because this place specializes in craft beers - and they have over 50 on tap!!! Prices were very reasonable (including the wine).

Business Lunch with Hungry travelers that had just landed PDX

By PeikAnderson |

I was very good. The choices were all well thought out, the service was attentive and the food was good. It also arrived at the table promptly, which was well received.

A bit disappointed

By Steve N |

After reading favorable reviews on TripAdvisor a group of friends and I had dinner at Parkstone near the airport. The atmosphere and interior looked sharp and clean with several TVs for sports. Our waitress admitted she was tired after a 12 hour day. The have a large selection of beers on tap and a good looking menu. Unfortunately the food was either pretty good or not good depending on the dish. The blackened fish and shrimp were both very good. The Santa Fe barbecue sandwiches with Cajun fries were also spot on. The fried chicken and cornbread and Tri Tip ( French Dip ) were not very good. Would steer away from the Southern food for sure.

Best Food in the Area

By RustinMoore |

I was in Portland on business for 11 days staying at the Hyatt Place Cascade Station. I made my rounds at the hotel, then Ihop and Buffalo Wild Wings until I found ParkStone. Not only was it the best food in the area but I actually looked up the business to see if there were any more near my home. The place has a great menu with excellent food and drinks. As its inside of the Cascade Station shopping area, it gets packed during the weekend so if at all possible, try to visit during the week.

Pretty good but some sides lacking

By GiacopoCF |

I stopped in to check this place out. Had a grilled chicken sandwich which was pretty good - fresh local chicken nicely grilled on a decent bun with bbq sauce that tasted too strong with liquid smoke, way too strong. The side of Peanut Sauce Slaw was pretty good though the shredded carrots tasted a bit old, as precut ones often do. Grilled veggies were ok but lacked sufficient time on the grill to gain much flavor, and were average at best. If there was any seasoning on them it was hard to tell. They make a big deal of their grilled corn which was a disappointment- waterlogged and tasteless (frozen perhaps) and completely out of season. It was nicely grilled but lacked any flavor. Took a few bites and I was done. A better alternative to nearby choices, I’ll try it again as it is nice and clean w good service

Recommended by our hotel and well worth it

By Jim H |

We enjoyed dining here. Great Tri-tip steak. I really liked the beer selection. We tried the deviled eggs, ok just not outstanding.

Pretty good BBQ, sides could use some work

By DeltaFlyer-321 |

My wife and I had chicken and ribs, and they were great. But the accompanying corn bread and grilled corn on the cob were less great. The corn bread tasted strange and crumbled all over the place. Suggestion: just make it from Jiffy mix, like we do in Mississippi, and the corn bread will turn out perfect. As for the grilled corn, I don’t think the grilling was so much the problem as the corn itself. Overall, the meat and dessert, and pleasant waitress, made up for most of the shortcomings.

Frequently eat here. Everything top notch: food, service, atmosphere.

By AudK24 |

Have lunch meetings here with vendors on a regular basis. Have eaten many things on the menu. The salads are excellent, and anything from the grill. Haven't had a burger yet but want to. Fish and chips spot on, with big crispy plank fries. The coleslaw is spicy and delicious. On a few evenings I've had the opportunity to sample the cocktails, beer, and cider. Again, all good. Would like to come for a big sporting event, sit at the bar, and casually view in less of a hurry. One draw back: it's loud with an open concept dining area, and zip for cell service if you need it.

Good Food - Poor Service

By Becky052 |

Excellent food but definitely short staffed. Our waiter who I assume was also the bar tender was not very competent. He often "forgot" things - we did not receive all of our sides. The ribeye steak was excellent as well as my grilled vegetables. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the waiter said they were out of shrimp for the appetizer and would we like another suggestion. We chose the calamari which was good but came just before the main course. After leaving our food, he seldom came back to check if we needed any more beverages. He also never brought the side of brussel sprouts. We questioned when he brought the bill and he said he would give us grilled corn to go. Ha Ha. Guess we could eat it on the flight the next day. He eventually did deduct $3. It was not a fabulous experience but food was very good. All staff seemed to be overworked and had quite a few tables.

Excellent Menu

By olblu92 |

Got into Portland late Sunday evening, picked up the rental car, checked into the hotel; then looked for a place to eat. The person at the hotel desk gave us a list but highlighted the Parkstone. We made our way to the shopping and dining area it was located at. There were many familiar eateries there. We followed the aroma of the wood fired barbeque. If I get back to Portland, I will go here again. It was excellent.

Our Go-to place at PDX

By MarkKauf |

We were flying out of PDX and staying at a nearby hotel. We ordered take out from ParkStone and the food was as good as our past visits to eat there. While tables were well spaced, we preferred to bring the meals back to our hotel room.

Best Reuben Sandwich of my life

By Rodney D |

What a wonder experience the place is loud but the food is excellent. I think I just had the best Reuben sandwich of my life. The waiter was wonderful as well

Good stop

By JosephDonahue |

Close to the airport reasonable prices and good service. Not fine dining but nice casual dining in a friendly atmosphere. Much better than any place in the airport

Great place to eat near the airport.

By Locus1974 |

Whether you're flying out of PDX, staying in a nearby hotel, or just shopping at Cascade Station, this is a great place to get a meal. I have been here several times now, and I have been very happy with my food every time. Parkstone has a good variety of dishes to hit the spot for just about any craving. This restaurant also has a very casual relaxed vibe but feels warm, and welcoming.

Great late lunch

By mountains314 |

Wonderful service by Faith. Food was excellent - huge salad, great burgers and fries. Would definitely recommend!

Another good dinner

By MarkKauf |

This is the second time we have had dinner at ParkStone when near the Portland airport. My wife had fish and chips and I had the tri-tip salad. Both dishes were well prepared and plentiful. The servers are pleasant and the atmosphere is casual and relaxed. The prices are very reasonable. We’d go back there again when we are in the area.

Excellent !

By dipper l |

Excellent! Recommendation from our shuttle driver from Hampton/Sheraton night before or departure from PDX. GOOD FOOD, GOOD SERVICE. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and meal.

Great restaurant and options

By PoppinsMagic |

Our group of 12 were staying nearby at PDX for Portland Grand Prix and tried this place. Group was mixed ages 18-65 and something for everyone on the menu. Even our vegan daughter. It is close to the airport so that was convenient for us, hotel shuttle brought us over from the Hampton Inn. The restaurant staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive. All food was delivered fresh, hot, and tasty. We would certainly dine here again!

Lively Place

By Ann B |

I saw what looked like 2 first dates there and wondered how they could hear each other talk. That being said everything here is perfect.

Great chicken sandwich

By Russell3939 |

This place has one of the better chicken sandwiches I’ve had. They put some spicy spices on it and cover it in bbq sauce. It was really good. My wife and kids really enjoyed the different flavors or lemonade as well. Worth a visit if in the area

Happy hour love

By Elizabeth P |

We enjoyed shrimp ceviche appetizer, cold draft beer (many) at happy hour prices. My husband had a crispy chicken sandwich. I had half a Ruben and half a wedge salad. So so good!!!! Faith was our server and even though I told her I was also a server she gave us great service. Really happy with this place, faiths service and the food. Amazing kitchen. Five stars!!!

Enjoyed the restaurant and the friendly service. But

By stephenpash |

I was excited to eat fresh fish. However, my fish was over cooked and chewy. Tasty but not tender as it should be. I’m sure they were understaffed so perhaps Chef had too much on his plate. Definitely give it another try next time in Portland, but I love fish and I’m a snob. So there won’t be a third go if it’s the same. Staff were fun off their feet so thank you for the service

A Happening Eatery!

By CBScout |

We stopped in here on our way back from the airport. So the location was convenient. The place had an electrifying air with happy customers. The high ceilings accentuated the noise level. But the hostess was very accommodating to our seating request, which we appreciated. Wafts of hickory smoke filled the air from the specialty wood fire kitchen. All of our entrees came in good order, and were tasty. Our server was very good, and checked on us frequently. Overall, we were pleasantly satisfied with our spur-of-the-moment restaurant choice here.

Well planned menu & delightful staff! Crowded for good reason & open air floor plan can accommodate both big and small groups 👍 Savory meats and creative drink selections are welcome in this neighborhood

Dinner with the Team

By Bustrav8585 |

Walked in around 6:00 and waited 35 minutes for a table. Staff was very kind and welcoming. Food was tasty and drinks were satisfying. Overall, a good experience.

Woodfire ribs

By T G |

This one of the best open woodfire places for meat I've ever ate at. You don't eat a lot of beef, so it was a real treat to have ribs and chicken that melted in my mouth. We also had appetizers that were very good too. The prices were pretty standard and the service was great.

Stopped in for lunch today…EXCELLENT!!!!

By Jennifer K |

Stopped here for lunch today, I ordered a 1/2 Rueben sandwich with the wedge salad. Beyond excellent, from the server to the food. Will definitely come back when I’m in town again.

Excellent food, good service....healthy made tasty.

By javalover5050 |

Excellent food, close to the airport, healthy made tasty....great selection of draft beers. Bar stools are hard and uncomfortable with no back or arms.

Great portions, quality and service!

By Bruce L |

ParkStone is one of Portland’s hidden gems. Great food with some surprises like perfectly flavored brussel sprouts and a unique twist on calamari. I would definitely recommend sharing (if possible) and enjoying all of the courses.

Great meal

By Christine E |

This location was relatively close to the airport hotel where I stayed and was highly rated on a couple of sites. It was very busy for a weeknight. Service was excellent, the waitress was very accommodating with checking on allergens for me and gave excellent beer tips. The restaurant has an extensive beer selection with a number of local brews. The cornbread was excellent as was the steak. The menu has some typical sides but also more interesting ones like the Asian slaw. Worth a visit!

"Good Venue for a quick Lunch"

By TRAVEL4EVER |

Jumped in here for a mid afternoon lunch last week after flying all morning from the East Coast. Excellent service! Menu is rather lacking for choices, at least during the lunch period. I ordered the "ol Standby"....cheese burger and fries and my wife opted for the big salad dish. She enjoyed her choice, but I was not too happy with mine. I specifically ordered a "medium rare", pink burger. However, as is usually the case in many restaurants....they cook it until it's totally dead and dried out! Just can't understand why the kitchen staff fail to make this request wrong, almost every time. Maybe I should just bring a picture of what a medium rare hamburger looks like for the staff to absorb on future visits to all lunch restaurants. This one does not rate a repeat for us.

A Definite Hit

By casa_linda_7 |

I had the combination dinner of tri-tip and shrimp. It was one of the absolute best restaurant meals I have had this year and I eat in restaurants a lot. It's a little noisy but the food is so good you can overlook the noise.

Nice Surprise

By James P |

We stopped in for dinner prior to flying home. The service was speedy, the food was tasty, and the atmosphere fun. This seemed like a sports bar type of environment but much quieter than the typical noisy sports bar. We would return.

Rude Service at every turn.

By lika2travel |

We gave our name and cell phone number at the hostess table and asked if it was ok to wait at the bar. We were told it was ok. We were told it would be 15 minutes. We were promptly ignored by the bartender who served all others around us. After 25 minutes, we checked on our table and the hostess acted as if we were rude to check. The waitress promptly came and ask fir our drink order and left before we had all placed our orders. In each encounter, our servers were downright rude. Will not be back.

Wood Fired Greatness

By Robert K |

I have been here a few times before. I’m one who likes consistency. The food and service is wonderful. The aroma from the wood fired preparation is not overwhelming but a pleasant note of fine food. I recently had the hand carved ribeye and it was sensational. There is a great selection of beer on tap and wine selection. If you’re in town it would be a great choice!

Gastropub-like

By DocShad |

In Portland for just one night before heading to Bandon Dunes for some golf. This restaurant is convenient, right near the airport. My buddy and I both had the tri-tip dip ( their take on a French dip), which was excellent. We tried, out of curiosity, fried deviled eggs as an appetizer. Also very good. Quick service and reasonable cost right near the airport and the airport hotels. I would highly recommend this place.

Great Service & Food

By Trenda B |

Stopped by because it was close to the airport. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Very busy so we sat at the bar. Clean, neat, reasonably priced. Will definitely go again next time we are in town.

Good food!

By PacificNWSusan |

Nice selection on the menu - everything from good steaks, market priced fish to salads, sandwiches and deep fried deviled eggs! Excellent Lemon drops! Very good wine selection. Not terribly noisy for a smallish restaurant and bar combination. There were some families there but mostly adults.

Winner, winner!

By Kevin M |

We had come to town and were spending the night before flying out of PDX the next morning. Having seen the reviews, ParkStone looked like it would be a great place for dinner and we were right. When we got there, the place was packed and we were seated after a short 10 minute wait. Our server was great and right there with our drink order. We got our food ordered and it came out in a very timely fashion considering how busy that the restaurant was. The blackened fish sandwich was off the hook and the Thai Peanut Slaw is incredible! They could just serve that as a dish on it’s own and I’d get that for a dinner! All and all the ParkStone is a great place and I know that I’ll be back again next time I’m in town!

Our Go-To Place in Cascade Station

By Betty H |

The food and smells at ParkStone Kitchen are incredible. I've had several items off their menu and every one of them is delicious. Last night we double dated with our son and his wife; it was their first time at ParkStone. My husband has tried every burger on the menu but last night chose the bacon and egg burger (sans the egg), my son ordered the Santa Fe chicken sandwich, my daughter-in-law feasted on the tri-tip salad, and I relished in the Thai Peanut Kale salad. When notified of a gluten intolerance, the server brought a "gluten guide" so that we could order worry-free and made appropriate suggestions. Though, sadly, they were out of the Portland Cider, they recommended other ciders that satisfied. The server was helpful and knowledgeable. We had a delightful dinner and will return whenever we are in the area.

Great service but that's all its got

By Kim T |

You want great service, sit at the bar and have Ben. Great service, too bad the food wasn't as good. The ribeye steak was okay, not good for medium, it was overcooked, but I was tired and just wanted to eat and get back to my room, but in the defense of the steak, seasoned very well. The roasted corn was under cooked, I know this because its one of my specialties, the garden salad was mostly salad core and rye bread croutons. Funny, manager was spot on, sport from big screen was off and some new medical show was on, blood spurting from some surgery, i was thinking, this isn't really something you want to see at a restaurant, and that's when he popped up with remote, immediately put on guide trying to find something else. The worthless female behind bar didn't understand why he did that. The whole time sitting there she was talking to friend at bar. If she was off clock then get out from behind the bar, if she was working, she needs to be replaced.. clueless. Because of the service from Ben, I would give this place another try.

Great location, good food

By Wil3coyote |

The location is fantastic for a traveler being so near the airport. We sat at the bar for dinner and had good service. The wood fired grill smelled amazing. They have it near the door so you have to smell it when you come in. I had a spicy burger with a fried egg and Cajun fries. It was really delicious. This will be a repeat spot for me when I come through Portland again.

Great

By Jen L |

Great atmosphere, great service. Salads were super fresh, the cheesecake was amazing. The fun aroma of the wood fire is in the air. Highly recommend.

Excellent Choice Near Airport

By Phil C. |

I travel so much for work and it's often hard to find decent, non-fast food locations to eat. On the recommendation of the hotel (Marriott Residences Cascade) I headed out with the free shuttle. What a gem of a restaurant. Soooo many craft beer on tap, and a great menu. I ordered the Baja Shrimp and a Citrus Salad, and took the Bartender's recommendation on a Breakwater Pilsner. Excellent all the way around! Glad I went and I would recommend it any time.

Overcooked, overpriced, underwhelming

By Diedre S |

Park Stone was recommended by our hotel staff, we checked out the menu online, and agreed it looked amazing. It wasn’t. Everything was overcooked: the chicken, the calamari, and the shrimp were dry. Most everything was under-seasoned. The cornbread was supposed to be a signature item, but it was awful, like weird store-bought coffee cake. Service was so slow that our waitress took our dinner order before the drinks even arrived. Save your money and choose a better restaurant. I’m sure we would have been happier next door at Red Robin or Famous Dave’s for a lot less $$.

Our Go-to place at PDX

By MarkKauf |

Whenever we are flying out of PDX, we go to dinner at Parkstone. The food is consistently well prepared, reasonably priced and the staff is friendly. It’s always busy, but you can call ahead and be put on a list for a table.

Disappointed—mixed review

By b4osage |

This restaurant came highly recommended by our hotel, so we’re are a little disappointed! We came for happy hour and ordered 2 appetizers. The calamari was excellent, but the asparagus was so, so! My husband ordered a beer and wanted a second one, but our server did not return until happy hour was over. My husband ordered a salad , but he had it topped with salmon which was small and over cooked. I ordered their new crispy chicken sandwich. It was so thin, dry and over cooked, it was hard to choke down. Our server was not at all attentive and we had to wait for water, bill, etc. There is a good selection of beer. Probably would not recommend.

Pretty good food & beer.

By Levon M |

5 of us for dinner on a Tuesday night. Not very crowded at all so we sat down as soon as we walked in. After ordering beers from there huge collection of Oregon brewed beers we started with a hummus trio plate. Quite good. I had a Reuben sandwich which was excellent while others had a Tri-Tip Dip sandwich, Rib-eye steak, Fish & Chips and a Citrus & Pecan salad. Everyone commented on how good their choice was. Located in Cascade Station, it is joint a quick walk or drive from all the hotels lining Airport Way. As with most places in Portland the prices are noticeably higher then east coast prices and probably a little higher than other Portland restaurants.

Awesome burgers and beers

By David J |

If you are staying near the airport or even if you are not this restaurant is well worth the visit. Something like 50 mostly local draft beers and exceptional food and service. Try the fried deviled eggs (never seen this before) and the burgers are fantastic. My server, Angela, gave great advice on beer selections for the food.

You can cut the filet with a butter knife

By sookiez |

We both ordered the filet rare and it came out perfectly cooked and very tender. They also have an extensive list of local craft beers. My husband was in heaven.

Good Local Food

By Dave R |

An upscale sports bar with a great selection of draft beers and well prepared (and large serving size) menu items that include the usual sports bar fare but also includes a greater variety of salads, burgers, sandwiches along with steak, chicken and assorted other mains. Clean, comfortable location easy to get to from I205 and PDX area hotels.

Delicious and Near the Airport

By ClaudiaJoLee2016 |

Portland roads during rush hour ain't fun. We stayed on Sandy Blvd within a couple of miles of the airport at a stay and park and fly hotel. We wanted a meal without the drama of TRAFFIC. So we decided to check out the Cascade Station restaurants. Thanks to Trip Advisor we decided to try Parkstone. We were not disappointed. We opened with the Humus Trio starter -- so delicious! My favorite was the Pesto Humus, but each of the offerings were so good. We both had the Southern Fried Chicken dinner that includes moist and flavorful breast meet in a light coating on mashed potatoes with cream gravy, roasted corn on the cob and skillet cornbread. I chose to substitute a Caesar salad for the corn on the cob for a minimal up charge. There was no hassle over the substitution and the salad was great. Our server was attentive, quick, and obviously thinks highly of the food offered at Parkstone. All in all this was a great experience and we hope to return in the future. And, thankfully, we encountered traffic on the way, but still got to the restaurant within 20 minutes in spite of a couple of wrong turns and recalculations as we tried to avoid traffic. The trip back to the hotel took only about 9 minutes. Highly recommended!

A good choice for lunch while shopping here

By Frequent D |

Depending on what you order the food is pretty good. I got the bacon & egg burger that sounded good but it was kind of dry. The execution just wasn't good as I ordered it medium, but it was more like medium well. The Thai peanut slaw I got with it was really good. We also tried the Three tacos plate where you get wood grilled steak, chicken and fish tacos and substituted wood grilled veggies instead of chips. The tacos were very good, but the vegies needed more time on the grill. They are a little pricey, but we didn't go away hungry for sure. Our waitress did a good job, and all the staff were very friendly. Overall it was pretty good, but I would try the tacos plate or maybe a Rueben next time.

Never again

By IloveWDW2 |

One of our More disappointing meals. I took one bite of the corn and was like "why is this sour? What did they soak it in?". My friend ordered the corn as well and she had the same reaction. We stopped the waitress and asked her if she knew if they soaked it in something, she didn't know. The chef came out and he said it was fresh today and they didn't soak it. We told him it tasted sour and he then told us that we just didn't know what good corn tasted like. I begged to differ, I am from a farming community and have actually been to fields and picked sweet corn, this corn was definitely not fresh. No need to visit this establishment again.

Service is awful

By Darren Grogan |

I'm not sure I will get the chance to try anything cause I've been sitting for 20 mins waiting to get my order submitted

Trying Something New

By Keith Stocks |

Great meal. This is a hidden treasure. We had Steelhead fired on wood. The Brussel sprouts, corn bread, and mixed vegetables. The service was quick and friendly. The atmosphere was a little noisy and bar like. But definitely doable again.

Tri Tip sandwich was great

By Jennifer B |

The only complaint I had about the restaurant was our server. He was okay overall but took a while to get a order in with him. Tri Tip Sandwich was good (skip ordering the cheese as you could not taste it)

Great smoky smell and great food

By Jsprague56 |

I came here on Super Bowl Sunday and they were closing early due to a history of not much business after the game is over. I got there 30 minutes before closing and the server treated me like family. My wine and food were excellent. Going back tonight as I am in town on business!

Happy Travelers

By Michele W |

After traveling all day from Ohio to the west coast, we discovered not many resturants were open for dinner on July 4th. Fortunately for us ParkStone Wood Kitchen was open. From the host to the barman, the service was friendly and prompt. We both enjoyed the blacken fish sandwiches. My husband ordered the steak fries while I enjoyed the Thai slaw. The slaw has some kick in the dressing which I liked while my husband thought it way too spicy. Silly man. At the suggestion of the barman, we ordered the African amber beer. It was excellent. The only negative was that the sandwich buns were also blacken almost to the point of being burnt. Almost.

Great spot with great burger!

By RoadtrippinginNorCal |

Great spot not far from the hotel I was staying at. Extremely busy and understaffed and they did a great job all around:) I would go back if in the area again.

Great food, cold beer

By Jessica L |

So glad we found this place. After a long day of shopping, a good meal and cold beer hit the spot. The service was good, food was great. I had the fresh catch (Steelhead) and it was cooked perfectly. Brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes for sides were also delicious. Hubs had ribs and tri tip and loved them. Wish this was closer to home, we’d make it out go-to.

Delicious!!!!

By Apucciarelli |

You cannot miss the experience of having your meals being grilled and it is the best thing ever in the area. If you’re not in the mood for seafood, do try this place out for their excellent steaks, and their sides are unique. I will definitely come back again!

good place

we had an early flight sat morn 2-15-20, and wanted to have dinner here again....i had a corona, and my partner had the margarita...next, we shared both the seared ahi, and citrus salad with salmon...the food/drinks superb, the staff is real nice, and very relaxing....thx so much

Ate here on a Sunday evening. It was quiet and service was first class. Food was excellent and some great beers on tap. More than happy to recommend

Great choice

By M M |

Wasn't sure this would be great but it turned out quite nicely. Ate here twice on recent stay. Wait staff are very well trained and friendly. Fish 1st time was very good. Steak was ok. Would be a nice place to visit if noise level was less. Good wine.

Saturday dinner with family

By Avik C |

Their big gig here is their beef is from grass fed cows without antibiotics and great quality beef. We had a combo plate what was mentioned as “whole quarter chicken” and beef filet steak, appetizer: devil eggs and my little one had an American grilled cheese sandwich. We ordered only one entree thinking that the item would be huge but to our surprise, it was the skimpiest amount of food served for dinner that I have had in recent years. The grilled veggies on the side was ok and steak fries were just ok. I order my beef medium but it was almost uncooked and my wife could not eat it. The quantity of the chicken was so small, my wife and myself were still hungry. Atmosphere is great but food is just mediocre nothing more. I am not going back here.

Wish they could've wheeled me to the car

By JayTee503 |

This place was a great atmosphere! But the food was even better. The Citrus & Pecan Salad is a great option if you need to lay a foundation before you munch on some fried goodness. I tried the Tri-Tip Dip Sandwich and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich...with steak fries, of course. But hey, it's all good because I had that salad first, right? Right?! Anyway, go check this place out when you get a chance. Quick service and great food!

Good food

By j r |

Recommended by the Residence Inn hotel staff and they were right. Good food at a reasonable price. i would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Comfortable atmosphere

By Crystaldeluca |

I was traveling for business and was a bit apprehensive about dining alone. I did a walk-by and felt comfortable giving it a try. I was greeted by a courteous host, seated in a booth near the window, giving me something to focus on while sitting by myself! My server arrived. He was energetic, fun, friendly and didn’t make me feel like I was eating by myself. I ordered my drink. I was very satisfied with the beer list. I chose a familiar, local to me beer, Boneyard RPM, he delivered it promptly. I asked a few questions about the menu and he was very honest. I appreciate honesty. There’s nothing worse than a wishy-washy unsure server. When I made my selection, he was enthusiastic, masking me feel I made a good choice, in which I had!!! I normally veer towards “real” entrees, however this particular night a salad sounded delightful. I ordered the BBQ chicken salad. My server’s eyes lit up, so I knew it was a good choice. The salad was very flavorful, a nice combination of flavors and the dressing, bbq ranch. Delicious! Dessert was a 16 Oz salted caramel porter, also by a local to me brewery (Cascade Lakes)but they are always out! It was everything I wanted in a dessert beverage! Overall experience was great!

Terrible service boring food

By Tommy l |

Terrible service boring food like the title says the prices don’t even come close to representing the extremely boring Food you would think woodfired food would have some pizzazz it however does not extremely lackluster and would not recommend

Excellent

By Dblnranch |

We ate here on the last night of our 12 day trip to Washington and Oregon. It was by far the best place that we ate during our whole trip. Everyone loved the fried deviled eggs. The portions were large and he service was great. Too bad there isn’t one of these where we live.

Sisters Quilt Show Trip 2017

By Rose P |

Ten of us ladies went for lunch! Excellent wedge salad, cornbread to die for, fish n chips looked lushes, tri-tip dip sandwich was fantastic and they allowed use to have separate checks. Excellent service.

Marginal Service/Poor Food

By Mike H |

Dropped in for dinner after arriving to airport. Service was slow and lackluster. Food was poor. Ribs overcooked and not the least bit tender. They were dry and almost felt leftover and reheated on grill. Grilled vegetables were raw and not cooked. Mashed potatoes arrived cold and returned lukewarm after request for reheat. Just felt like everyone was going through the motions and for the price would have been money spent elsewhere.

Wood Kitchen Wonderful

By Phyllis R |

After driving across Oregon to stay near the Portland airport, we just wanted a dinner close to our hotel. We chose ParkStone Wood Grill because of proximity. We would return anytime for the food and friendly service. We both chose salads, one with chicken, one with salmon. The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun.

Great Dinner

By happyfeetx |

What a luxury to dine in at a restaurant. We were very happy with our meal. The calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly, and our steaks were, too. Loved the Brussel sprouts! The server was attentive to our needs and we had a great date night!

Great Fried Chicken

By Zak-Wade |

What a fun find for a business dinner. Great fried buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes and the gravy was fantastic-ask for gravy on the side to keep chicken crisp. Great wedge salad with blue cheese and bacon. Went for a work dinner-service was good. Space is a bit small so expect a wait. Also, note the restaurant has a sports vibe with multiple TVs so can get loud. Good for a fun evening but not ideal for easy conversation. Save room for chocolate cake...yum!!

Great lunch after landing at PDX

Nice light lunch on our way to Astoria. Trip sandwich with French onion soup and delicious wedge salad. We ended with a wonderful chocolate fudge cake to share. Great service. We will be back if we are ever in the area.

Great beer selection average fod

By Justin Towne |

We were all staying across the street and decided to try this place out and we found it to have a great selection of beers on tap and a good selection of food. I had the tri-tip dip with half a wedge salad and we all shared the fried deviled eggs. The tri-tip is just roast beef not smoked like you would get on a tri-tip but still good. The wedge salad was good and the deviled eggs were average. Would not visit here again except to get beer as food was pretty average. Service was good but somewhat slow.

Surprising Find

Didn't even know this existed until we went to IKEA and we were looking for a nice spot for dinner. The smell of wood fired food hits you at the door. Very inviting for sure. There are too many local brews to count on tap and the food was very good. We were seated right away and our food came in a timely manner. The staff was very friendly. Everything on the menu sounded good. We had the Citrus, Pecan Salad and the Wood fired combo, which had Tri Tip and Shrimp with sides of veggies and Sweet Potatos. I would recommend this stop when you are in the area of Cascade Parkway or the Portland Airport.

Good Meal

We got there right at 6:00 pm and had a 20 minute wait. Worth the wait. We each had a 2 meat dinner to try some different meats wood cooked and would recommend any other first timer to try. We tried Tri-tip, BBQ chicken, quarter whole chicken and ribs. Enjoyed every bite.

What a find!!

Staying near by prior to early morning flight, looked up recommendations on Trip Advisor and wham! Easy location to all local airport hotels. Great decor, excellent draft beer selections and really top quality, tasty food. I need to travel back to Portland so I can revisit.

Good Food and Friendly Service

By Kathy P |

We chose ParkStone at the recommendation of others in our tour group and the close proximity to our airport hotel. Glad that we did. Even though they were very busy (and it was pretty noisy), the hostess was so kind and apologetic for our wait of 30 minutes. Once seated, the waitress took our drink orders immediately, we promptly ordered our food (great menu and prices good), and were all pleased with our selections. My husband and I both had the fresh fish of the day, steelhead trout, and it was so delish as were the sides we selected. When the waitress mentioned creme brûlée for dessert, oh yeah, sign me up. And it was so very good. Good combination of friendly, efficient service, delicious food, and good prices!

Friendly staff but food was not as described on menu

By Kathy P |

We were greeted by a super friendly young woman and seated by another nice member of the staff. Our waiter arrived soon thereafter and took our drink orders. The beer was nice and cold! The mojito was lackluster. The server informed us that they were down to one fryer so the only thing they were frying were French fries. No problem. But then he let us know the ribs were just being prepped and would not be ready for some time. Bummer! That's what my husband was going to order! He settled on the BBQ chicken breast that came with grilled corn on the cob and 1 side. He chose the homemade corn bread. I chose the tacos which included 1 blackened fish, 1 southwest chicken, and 1 tri tip. Our meals arrived fairly quickly! Looked pretty good. My husband said the chicken was good. The corn was so so. The Cornbread was dry as a bone. My taco shells seemed pretty stale so I decided to just eat the stuff inside. The fish was pretty tasty! The chicken was a little spicy but still okay. The beef was so spicy I could only eat a few bites. After downing the rest of my beer and water I couldn't eat any more. I didn't get to ask my server because he was no where around. My husband finally flagged him down at the bar to get our check. When he brought it I asked him if the meat was supposed to be very spicy. He said the chicken had some grilled jalapeño so would have been spicy but the beef should not have been. As we had already paid he made no offer to speak to the manager but did say he would let the kitchen know. So overall the staff was friendly but the food was definitely not worth the money

Highly recommend!!

Visiting for a wedding from London. The service was excellent! The waitress (Tanishia) was very friendly and attentive! The steaks were great! Loved the smoked wood flavour! We will probably go back again tomorrow!

Perfect Spot Near PDX – Great Food, Drinks & Atmosphere!

By Global Flavors and Journeys |

If you’re looking for a great meal near Portland International Airport, ParkStone Wood Kitchen & Taps is a must-visit. Whether you’ve been out shopping, just landed at PDX, or want a relaxed night out with family or friends, this place checks all the boxes. The moment you walk in, the smell of wood-fired barbecue instantly draws you in — it’s warm, inviting. The atmosphere is casual but stylish, with plenty of seating and a welcoming vibe that works for everyone, including families. The menu is straightforward with a good assortment of choices — enough variety to please everyone. We went with the grilled meat combo, and everything came out perfectly cooked with that great smoky flavor. I couldn’t resist adding the mac & cheese and red smashed potatoes, both of which were the kind of comforting sides you can’t stop eating. The drink menu is another highlight. There’s something for everyone, from local brews to craft cocktails. I tried the Salty Pear, and it was excellent — light, slightly sweet, and the perfect balance to the savory barbecue. Service was friendly and efficient, and despite being close to the airport, it didn’t feel rushed or touristy. Overall, ParkStone Wood Kitchen is a great find in the Portland area — perfect for travelers, locals, or families looking for a laid-back spot with quality food and drinks.

Another Excellent Restaurant in Our Area

By Robert Knauer |

Yesterday our family, a party of eight, celebrated two birthday's at the Parkstone restaurant in Cascade Station. The food was excellent and Alan, our server, easily handled the requirements of our entire group. Nice job Alan! Thank-you very much. Two members in our party ordered the Tri-Tip Grilled Salad. Both enjoyed their food choice. Another ordered the Plain and Simple Burger... not only was it plain and simple, it was big... another excellent choice. I ordered the Tri-Tip Dip sandwich with fries and it was also excellent. The creamy horseradish sauce really added to the flavor of the sandwich. There were other menu items selected and everyone in our party enjoyed what they ordered. This is a great restaurant and we will be back.

Not for bigger groups

Party of 7, in town for a convention, tried to get a reservation, which they don't take. Got here and informed we couldn't sit together, even though there was a table set for a party our size, so I guess they do take them for some, since there was no one for that table here yet. We ended up at 2 different tables and was told they don't do separate checks. If we hadn't taken a shuttle from the hotel, we would have left. Now, the food is good. The fried chicken was crispy and the meat soft. The mashed potatoes were a different color, but tasted good. The cornbread was good, and the corn on the cob looked burnt but was good, just a lot of black, so those items put off the thoughts of eating them, but glad I did. Share the food if not hungry, there is plenty. If not for the seating issue, the score would be higher

Open kitchen. Great chicken tortilla soup. Even greater Bessel sprouts. Burger was okay. Lots of lettuce very dry bun. Steak fries meh. I preferred crispy.

A Gem and Close to the Airport Hotels

By Thomas C |

Some of our relitives took us there for dinner on our last visit to Portland. The food was good, the service was good, and it is a very unique place to visit. We are from New Orleans, and our restaurants tend to cater to the beer and wine selections, but this place blew that out of the water, so to speak. They specialize in any and every brew made in Oregon, and there are quite a few to be had. As I said, this restaurant is unique, and very good whether you want to have drinks or not.

Not great food

By angeladawn |

I actually got stuck eating here twice during my week trip to Portland. My coworkers chose this place since it is so close to the airport. And as far as I can tell, that is the only reason they are busy. My first trip I had tacos. The tortillas were stale, and they were just very dry. The “Cajun fries” had so much seasoning on them they were inedible. The second trip I tried the fish sandwich and wow... that was awful! The fish was like rubber and had no flavor at all. It is super loud in this place, it kind of makes your head hurt. Service was not bad but not great. I will say the cornbread was very good. Sorry I’m normally a positive Pete but this place did not do it for me.

Lovely meal

Recommended by the clerk at the Harley shop and she was on point. Nice homemade cornbread. Not too sweet. The asparagus fries was a bit of a miss. Too soft and stringy. The garlic shrimp we nicely charred but lacking in garlic flavor. Burger was top notch but lacked the expected char. Nice quality beef. Excellent service. OK prices.
