This place at some point must have been a really cool & a nice venue, but right now it is horrible. We went to skate and like many other people Leaving a review the skating ring was too wet to skate, too many people and they didn't even have our size of skates. The place seems so rundow which is sad because they have such a beautiful location and so much potential. Unfortunately the extremely poor management is going to bring it down, we had an issue and the manager was extremely rude the waiter had to apologize and ended un taking care of it he said the manager is always that way. My recommendation don't even bother until they get better management and start taking better care of the restaurant.

Having dinner over looking downtown is the highlight of the evening thefood and drinks are great and affordable but the view is amazing! I recommend anyone that wants a romanctic view and something nice to do in the A I suggest this spot !! And go when the son is going down!!

The food is bad, the service is bad, and there is a constant stench of excrement in the air. Avoid the moldy cheese.

Great pub on the edge of Piedmont Park. Dog Friendly too! Nice menu with a good selection of food. The six of us all had something different and enjoyed our meal. Try the tater tot app and the bean dip too!

We visited for lunch before taking my husband to the Porsche Experience Center. Our server was a “low talker” and we had difficulty hearing her, also probably due to the audio turned up on the multiple TVs for the World Cup semifinals. They were out of several of the drinks on the menu, including Frosé. Overall, food was good. Two in our party had ordered sushi and it came out a lot later than the other food. I know the sushi was freshly made, but they should have held back on the other food so it all arrived around the same time. Also, it’s dog friendly, but a group came in and sat at the table next to us with unfriendly dogs who barked whenever other dogs came in. Very irritating. The venue was setting up for a wedding later in the day, and it looked beautiful.

My grandchildren and I enjoyed dinner on the patio recently at Park Tavern. The queso is always a big hit as well as the Surf and Turf Sushi roll. We tried the Impossible Burger for the first time. It tasted and looked like beef! Everyone agreed that it was delicious and juicy. We were all amazed! Olive was our server and she was terrific. Can't wait to come back to enjoy another Impossible Burger! Still can't believe it is plant based!

As a fellow service industry employee let me just start this review off by saying I am not out to bash Park Tavern. My girlfriend and I really enjoy the place! But, there is definitely something going wrong at this restaurant and I feel like only honest constructive criticism can help. First off, the view outside is downright amazing. You have the skyline in the background and the park literally right in front of you. Perfect for sunsets! On another positive note: The drinks are very well made. I have been twice and had the "Easy Does it" both times. I also had the Olmsted Brown Ale which was delicious and very fair priced at $4. I will say the Easy does it I had this time was loaded with ice, mint and lemon which left little room for an decent sized drink ounces wise. I had it in the plastic cups last time and felt I got much more for my money. On the negative: based on other reviews and my personal experience, something is going terribly wrong with server training. The servers almost rush you while not being very knowledgeable at the same time. Our server admitted to not knowing how anything I asked about tastes. I am very easy to please when I'm being waited on but I can see how this would bother quite a few people. It's almost like a feeling of them not caring. The food: I had the tuna wonton tacos and my girlfriend had the Grilled Mahi Tacos. My "tacos" were fine for the price, although I wish there was a bit more tuna. Still a nice combination of flavors. On the other hand, My girl's Mahi tacos were cold and bland. One of them even had just a 1/3 of a torn piece of Mahi and that's it. Now I do know that the outside seating seems like quite the walk from the kitchen, but after tasting her tacos, it was obvious that it sat in the window for QUITE awhile. This was on a Tuesday and they were not busy, but maybe short staffed? We will be back, mainly because you can't beat having a drink by the outside tables by the putting green. I actually like the idea of people having their dogs with them. I mean, it IS at the park.

Took my team there during the Hinman dental meeting and we had a great time. We had a big table out in the middle of the patio area. The NCAA tournament games were going on and Hangover 2 started sometime during our evening. The place was obviously a bit loud but for a group of 30 something's looking to hang out in a very casual atmosphere, chat, and have a couple of drinks...it was perfect!! Our waiter, Josh, was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely make it back there on our next trip to Atlanta.

This place makes it on its location. The food is very average and the service is never good. You can wait a good 10 minutes after you are seated for the server to come by. Once your order is taken they get it wrong most of the time. Of the last five times I dined here they got the order wrong four times. What's worse is they don't apologize for getting it wrong. It has become such the norm that they just don't care. Poor service is standard fare here. Come here to grab a beer and enjoy the view of the park but don't expect anything in the way of good food or even average service.

Ugh. Loud, overcrowded, poor service, mediocre food and a staff that really could care less. I don't understand why this place is so popular.

This is an interesting pub with very good burgers. One thing they don’t tell you on their website is that they are an outdoor facility. There is no A/C at all and we visited on an above-90 degree day! Was looking forward to sitting down with a cool drink in an air conditioned pub but they only have fans to blow the hot air around. I would probably visit again because the burgers were good, but I will wait until the weather is cooler!

Extraordinary views of the Midtown skyline in the heart of Piedmont Park! Our family celebrated Mother’s Day here. Friendly service, incredible brunch display: prime rib carving and omlette stations, French Toast, eggs Benedict, you name it! Bottomless mimosas! We can’t wait to come back!

Visited twice; the first was during a rainstorm and we wanted to escape the torrential downpours in Piedmont Park. We ended up calling some friends- So what began as two, ended with six people enjoying the $1 draft beers served when it's raining. With scrummy food, drinks and conversation, it was well past bedtime by the time we left the restaurant. The second was for my birthday dinner on Aug. 17th, we loved the first time so much! My "cake" was served by the lovely server... A shot of liquor tasting exactly of chocolate cake :)

Walked in and had to look for someone to seat us, Artificial carpet smelled, bathrooms smelled and service was terrible. Service persons were acted very uppity, servers came with menu soon took our order, then waited over 30 minutes for fool. There is nothing that would get me to return here, so I say don't waste your time and money, in addition you have to park then pay $5. Simply not worth the time.

Service was very good, the food is much better than most bar food and the people are friendly.... I went with a group and the friendly staff was able to take care of all of us even during a performance of Yacht Rock!

Easy to find in Park and dog friendly. The drink selection is awesome and the choices amazing. The service wss very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed the facility.

It wasn't our waitresses fault. She was running around like crazy trying to please her guests. It was entirely the fault of the management and higher-ups who didn't hire enough help knowing they were going to have special events and a normal dinner crowd. The stress shouldn't be placed on the shoulders of the wait staff. Secondly, a sub-par, slider-sized chicken sandwich cost $10 . I had to eat when I got home. Easily one of my worst dining experiences in Atlanta.

After two emails to Park Tavern to talk to the manager about my experience and still no return call or email, it is obvious they don't care about your experience or making it right. They know people will continue to go because of the location and convenience to the park, so they feel, why make it right? It's a shame!! My family and I arrived at the Park Tavern at 11:45 on Saturday morning. We were among two other tables that were at the restaurant. We were seated and our server, a young man, came over and took our drink order and shortly after our food order. Our order was placed by 11:55 am and we did not receive our food until 12:45. Our server came over three times in that 50 minutes and said “your order should be out any minute”. During this time, the place started filling up with other guests and some of the walkers from the MS marathon. They all were getting their food before us, even though they ordered and sat down long after we did. Once we finally received our food, we were starving. Both of my brothers ordered burgers, I had the crab cake salad, my husband had the sushi and my 3 year old had the peanut butter/jelly roll. I was appalled by my salad, the crab cake didn’t look cooked, it was soggy/greasy and falling off this HUGE pile of lettuce, both of my brothers burgers were freezing cold. One of my brothers couldn’t even eat it. He said he’d just take it home and heat it up. My other brother couldn’t wait another 45 minutes for them to do another and was starving, so he ate it cold. My husband left with our baby to go get the car and we asked for the ticket. Our server brought the ticket and I was further blown away. Never once had he apologized for the wait (which would have been nice, since something obviously happened that it took almost an hour to get our food while no one around us was waiting). He also put an 18% gratuity on there – I’m assuming because he entered our table as 6 guests – although we only had 4 adults eating and one child (3 years) – the other was a baby. Does that count has a guest? So in short, we sat at your establishment for almost two hours, waiting an hour just for our food. Received horrible service, two freezing cold burgers, a slimy greasy crab cake salad, dried out bread on the peanut butter/jelly roll and paid $74.03. The only item that was good was the sushi roll my husband had. I had a bite, it was delicious. We frequent the Park Tavern and I’ve never had such bad service or food. I was more surprised with no mention of an apology or let me get the manager over here to talk to you or – let me comp you for your bad burgers. Nothing? Then to charge an 18% gratuity?

Best sushi ever! Service is good. Ambience is perfect! There was no waiting and were served right away.Dynamite sushi is the best.if you a big party order the boat. Sushi is half off after 10pm everyday. My son likes their wings.

Awesome place in an awesome local...Piedmont Park. Perfect at sunset while sun is cascading through downtown Atlanta. Go for the food and stay for the view. Don't sit under the fan, if you have sensitivities or are prone for allergies.

Went to a wedding here over the weekend. The food was excellent as was the service. The servers could not do enough to take care of you. I don't know what is on the normal menu, but the food at a lavish sit down wedding recption was excellent.

My best friend's 30th birthday party was here last night. We had a lot of fun - since we were a large group of 20+, we had our own tent outside the main ice skating rink area. "Ice Skating rink"? I hear the reader ask. "Isn't this Atlanta"? Well, yes, it is, but it is December, so now is the festive season for small skating rinks to be constructed. This particular ice rink was rather small, and hockey skates were being rented out at $50 a pop. The main experience is being able to laugh at one's friends as they attempt to skate along the edge, while holding the rail along the wall. Anyways, we had a nice little outdoor rent away from that particular madness, nicely heated by a small gas outdoor fireplace. The server was very efficient - commendable, given that we were such a large group. However, drink orders were a bit slow. The food was fairly standard upscale bar fare...the black bean dip was nice; the sweet potato fries weren't bad. I would suggest this location for a large party such as this, because there is no minimum, and they don't charge by the head with a no-show fee. However, I'd be unlikely to return just with hubby. Too loud for young children.

We had a gathering of friends before a concert in the park. We had many dishes put out for our large group and several Sushi Boats as well. Everything we had was exceptional. Recommend Park Tavern!

Everything was very good and a lovely day in a nice setting. Wish there were more instructions upon entering. Seven smiling people just point you to the door.

I had my plate switched out 3 times because none of them could figure out if my dish was gluten free. Mind you i have celiac disease and gluten will cause pain and discomfort for weeks. Get with the times people you could really hurt someone!!!

We had an amazing Mother’s Day brunch at Park Tavern. Food and service were great! Will definitely be back! Such a great venue for everyone!

We spent some time exploring Piedmont Park, and wanted a drink and snack to end our day. The Park Tavern was just the place for us. Our 13 year old and 10 year old grabbed sodas while we had beers and we all enjoyed the fries and onion rings. Good food, but our waitress could have been slightly faster with refilling our drinks. Overall though, a great place to wind down our trip to the park.

This is a beautiful venue . In the evening, the view of the Atlanta is spectacular. The food quality is fine. However -the staff/service is awful. The venue manager was extremely rude to guests with regard to a variety of issues including cleaning rain water on the floor which grew to a 10 ft area/pool and getting a chair for a guest who was assigned to a table - but had no seat. I witnessed him telling this guest to go find an empty seat at another table . I guess spouses sitting together is optional at weddings. During dinner- water glasses were never filled, wine service was hit or miss and no one was clearing dirty plates. One guest was so disgusted - she started carrying dirty plates to the kitchen. The manager witnessed this and decided to tell the staff to start clearing tables after her second trip to the kitchen . The coffee station had lukewarm coffee at the beginning of the evening and when staff was made aware- no action was taken .

great music, good food....try the blackbean dip! There is a free concert series for the summer months and I enjoyed two great shows there. They have great sushi and burgers. The service was okay, but the atmosphere was great. Cannot wait till the next concert lineup. I would try to get there early for a choice in seating....it fills up quickly.

Have been coming here for years. The location is the best thing about this tavern. Service has always been hit or miss. Prices are a little on the high side and the offerings aren't worth it, in my opinion. But it's a great place to meet with friends and enjoy some outdoor beer drinking.

We went to Park Tavern today after the rain ruined our picnic day in Piedmont Park. We had our dog with us and were able to sit on their covered patio. They had a $1 beer special we took advantage of, and also ordered some sushi rolls. I enjoyed my lunch and beer with some friends

We enjoyed our brunch, the fantastic service, and the people watching. This restaurant is an asset to the park!

A group of extended family members & friends attended the Easter Brunch. The Easter Egg hunt for the kids in the group appeared to be organized and they had a great time. The quality of food & service on the other hand was terrible. Almost all dishes were cold or lukewarm at best. Although we were with approx. 30 people there was no designated staff assigned. The furniture was terrible and the place looked dirty. Dishes were only cleared after advising supervisors. There was no attention to detail, the omelet stations & carving stations were weak and the chafing dishes used on our side of the facility were wired ones with disposal pans instead of professional grade. The experience was way below par and embarrassingly weak.

Food is good, typical bar food. The drinks options are good. The wait staff was frendly. Do need to come if you are in a hurry. Better to stay and enjoy the vacation ew and expect a wait.

Great Piedmont Park location. Went to a wedding there in 2011. Everything was top notch. Beautiful views of the park and Atlanta.

We've actually been to Park Tavern several times throughout the years, whether for ice skating or for just hanging out after the Peachtree Road Race on the 4th of July. We don't really think of Park Tavern as a place to go get dinner though. However, thanks to a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" coupon, we decided to check it out one night. I was surprised to learn that they offer oysters and sushi, and after reading some reviews prior to dining there, the sushi is evidently pretty good. We decided to get some oysters, and they were served with house-made toasted pita chips, which I thought was a better alternative to the standard Saltine. I opted to get the Classic American steakburger (I'd had sushi recently) and my wife got the tempura shrimp basket. She loved her meal and I was just so-so about my steakburger. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I also got a Park Tavern Summer Wheat, which was actually pretty good. A cool promotion that I learned about while there is that if it rains (and they announce the promotion on Facebook and Twitter as "running" for that rainy day), you can get their house beers for $1 a pint. I'd certainly go back to Park Tavern, but it's not at the top of my list. The views are terrific, but that's obviously something that appeals more to out-of-towners, tourists, and suburbanites than it does to us.

I ordered the mushroom bacon burger medium well. It was served well done. HOWEVER, it was still juicy and full of flavor. The "truffle" tots were also good. My guest had the salmon bowl and raved about it's flavor. We had wings for an appetizer. They were large, but just a little too hard. All in all, a good experience.

We figured picking up food and eating on the patio/in the park would be a safe bet. Wrong. We lasted 2 minutes in a tight line with no one wearing masks and huge crowds everywhere - even the patio tables are far too close together. Staff seem incredibly stressed, but I don’t blame them.

We always go to piedmont park and walk around but this day we decided to pitch a tent by the meadow and we were near Park tavern a place we have never been...I jump on trip advisor to check out the menu..."oh wow sushi"?ok , so we go in and the music is playing....we order 2 sushi rolls and fish tacos...we wait about 30 minutes which is OK because it was busy...we pay ,then go back to the tent..then went back to pick it up...we opened the bag...we ate one, then another, then another, but we def planned to take this home but couldn't stop eating! It was so gooood! I want some now...p.s.The fish tacos need seasoning but were good...thanks Park Tavern..I won't go to piedmont without coming by there to get a roll or two!!

We were just looking for a leisurely meal. My husband got wings and I got chicken tacos. Filled us up, but not overly so. Then went for a walk around the park. Great staff and they never disappoint.

We went to a party at park tavern. It was great as the kids got bored from the adults talking they were able to run around and play while in full view. Great food and also pet friendly.

I have had dins at Park Tavern for years, primarily for the in-house beer (and some decent guest beers), but there is always a range of tasty foods. The menu has varied over the years (right now there is a strong sushi bias, in the past, BBQ, etc), but luckily the onion rings march on. In the winter they set up a small skating rink, and it is adorable to watch Southerners skate (full disclosure- I can't skate for $%^&, but have spent 50 years watching others do so effortlessly, so this is a treat for me. Best deal is $1 beers when it rains, but folks (I mean you, college students) TIP ON THE MENU PRICE OF TH E BEER, not the $1 (and i have never been a waiter, and am the cheapest man on earth).

The visit to the park tavern was appalling. The staff and management attitude was terrible - they have forgotten that there are customers. The worst restaurant I have been to in a long time. You can do much better than this, I recommend Chez Bridg as an alternative.

My family attended Easter Brunch and the restaurant was totally disorganized! We arrived for a 10:00 seating, buffet food was put out five to ten minutes after we arrived and most dishes were completely cold. There were not servers at the carving station or omelette station, no salt and pepper on the table or severs to pick up dishes. For 35 dollars a person, it was a disappointment!

The service is terrible here. Took 5 minutes to be acknowledged. Eventually the bartender game to greet us even though two managers were sitting at the apparently "staff" table as they appeared to be working or doing schedules. It was pathetic. At least they could have acknowledged me especially after I made eye contact with them. There appears to be some sort of private event being set up on the patio/skating rink area. A lady just brought a chafed dish platter to the manager. I think she was asking him a question and right before my eyes, he puts his hand in the dish for a sample. GROSS! No hand washing, no nothing and the lady then takes the platter out to be served to the guests. That has to be some sort of health code violation. Anyway, I only come here when I have a 50% coupon; can't imagine paying full price for this place.

Sunday 13 of us met for Mother's Day. Food was simply terrible. Eggs - nasty cold, soggy and no flavor at all????. Sausage cold and no flavor. Carving station roast beef - 'RAW', i commented that they should at least take off the saran wrap before cutting it.. Cheese Grits - Well, they were gritty for sure and had the consistency of Elmer's Glue Paste - Awful. The Potato wedges were ok. The staff could not have been more worthless, even if the they spoke English. For 35 dollars a person it added up to an expensive family 'get together'. and the last thing, we stopped by a quick trip gas station to get the kids something to eat (the new pizza they serve). that's without question how bad it was. oh, i forgot about the homeless women with her pants pulled down urinating between the cars in the parking lot...added bonus I guess....

Went to this place because I was told about the location. I had a burger and it was great. The bread was fresh and the service was great. We also went outside after the meal and enjoyed the wonderful view.

Nothing special. Enjoyed watching the college football games. Prices are normal for the area. A/C not working well enough to counter the humidity.

Me and some friends went ice skating. Prices were reasonable and we even got to make s'mores. The staff were friendly and helpful

I am a frequent diner at Park Tavern. The location off Piedmont Park is fantastic. I also love the fact that my kids can run around while I relax outside and enjoy the great weather. That said, recently I had the worst service in history. Between the server bringing out a wrong order and then disappearing for long stints to the management huffing and puffing when we asked to move to a shaded table (* Note - we were one of five tables in the restaurant, so the excuse of it being busy wasn't a factor). What should of been a relaxed and enjoyable dinner turned into a THREE -hour frustration. Park Tavern, I hope you read this and make improvements with the attentiveness of your staff.

I ate had fun and drank lol.. Nice place to watch the game or fight. friendly atmosphere. ... wings are tasty.

Stopped by after a hot bike ride and the first thing offered was an ice cold bottle of water! We were waiting for friends so had some beer on tap (craft) and it was cold and refreshing. We decided to have a quick meal we could all share and had the Shrimp tempura. Wow, I wish I hadn't had to share as it was excellent. Service was great and it is incredibly dog friendly, Definitely a place I will return to for beer and the burgers that looked great!

WVU was hosting an event at the Park Tavern so we went by to check it out a day early, since we were in town. The info said it was .02 mile from the MARTA station. It was actually over a mile and some of the area seemed kindof creepy, I wouldn't want to walk it after dark. Lots of guys hanging out in the streets and such. It is beside a large park that was nice. The staff were not very friendly, not rude, either, just didn't really care if we were there or not. Food was expensive and tasted so so....the California rolls were tasteless, the grilled cheese was ok, the burger was ok, nothing to write home about. The next night when the Alumni was there, we just skipped it, but we heard they ran out of food by 9PM.

A fun place to eat in Piedmont Park. This dog friendly restaurant has good food and service to match. We had 4 people that all ordered different meals from Sushi to burgers as well as an assortment of drinks. The service was excellent and food was well prepared. It was a fun place to eat and watch all the locals enjoying the good weather and Piedmont Park.

We had our companu meeting under the tent. A great location but the mosquitos were terrible. The tent is outside and we tried and put down the rain sides but it doesnt block the front entrance. We bought 15 thermacell mosquitos repellent machines but still go bit when the bait ran out. SE events did a great job of setting up the AV. Richard and Zack were terrific. Had everything we needed. The catering was okay. They ran put of coke and water when we were supposed to have drinks all day. They were not prepared. And the food was okay. But nice venue besides those things.

I bought the $31.00 Groupon for a "Private Cabana" rental for date night last night (that anyone could sit at without the Groupon for FREE). The Groupon comes with a $25 dollar voucher for sushi, and for the most part the sushi was pretty tasty. Overall the food was decent, but the deception and loss of $6 dollars for a "Private Cabana" really put a bad taste in my mouth. Clearly they are hurting for business.

The last two times we've been here we have sat in the outside seating area which is self seating. Both times it has taken at least 15-20 minutes from sitting down until we are waited upon. Can't beat the setting and view, but the slowness of the service is almost a dealbreaker. Get your act together!

Great food, service and views. Will go back. Sushi was delicious and fresh. Diverse menu. Comfortable and casual. Right in the park. Really enjoyed it.

Great place to hang out during the Dogwood Festival. Lots of space on the patio and you can bring your pet in with you.

This is a nice place to come for some respite after having been at the dog park. Plus pups are welcome which is always something I look for. Once we got there (one partner and three dogs in tow) We asked to get a seat outside. Only outside on the gravelly bit (area in the middle of the outdoor area was all gravel, then an outer ring of Cabanas which are $25 to rent (also first come first serve) Because of this no reservations policy, it was a little strange to basically hover around some tables to make sure you get it when they leave. I personally would hate for people to be hanging around my table until I was done, but unfortunately this is the way they operate (not sure why there is even a check in spot at the entrance, it seems to be useless. We finally sat down and provide plastic bowls and water for the dogs. The food took forever to come out, we just enjoyed sitting down after standing and waiting 20 minutes. I had the bang bang shrimp which was good; kind of what PF Changs dynamite shrimp was like before they got crap. My main was the seared Wagyu Beek steak. While I cant really fault the meat, it was nice, not the best Waygu. It was a tiny amount for $15.99. The truffle fries were ok, not too heavy on the truffle. a bit disappointing. I would like to go back and try their sushi and Salt Block experience, but the long wait and disorganised front of house will make me try for a time that might not be so busy.

We had our 40th high school reunion on the patio and it was a great place. The view of the park was wonderful as the Dogwood festival was going on. We had no food, just bar so I can't comment. The venue was good.

This restaurant was fantastic--great views on the downtown skyline and right on the edge of Piedmont Park. I brought my dog, and the outdoor seating was very comfortable and enclosed within screens to keep out the bugs. The ground had grass turf, so I didn't have to worry about it being too hot or anything. The service was fantastic and food was great and well-priced for its quality; there was lots of great variety and the portions were perfectly sized. The staff was extremely accommodating for dogs and had water and everything.

I love Park Tavern's location in Midtown next to Piedmont Park. They have a menu with lots of variety and deals, like half-priced sushi every night after 10pm. It's a great place to visit after an afternoon at the park. You can sit on the patio and soak in the beautiful skyline behind the park. Also a plus-you can bring your pooch. They even have water for them.

Came with family for dinner and ice skating. Appetizers and desserts were excellent, mains were disappointing all around. They were also out of menu offerings and some bar items when we arrived at 8.

We had a cabana at Park Tavern. We arrived at about 7:30 and had he cabana for three hours. The restaurant has a very nice outdoor atmosphere. The service was great. Some had a Mahi Mahi sandwich; grilled chicken salad; shrimps and French fries. All thought their food was very good. Of course the view on Piedmont Park is phenomenal. Would definitely return.

Located in the corner of a park near an easily accessible intersection and parking is the tavern. It's one of the few places in the city where your dog can join you, but be warned that the staff isn't very clear about exactly what areas are okay. They'll point to the center area and say, "Anywhere on the stone"...but the entire floor is made of stone. What they mean is the pebbled stone area OR in cabanas around the perimeter located on astroturf. Securing a cabana was, as we were told, "at the discretion of the server". When we asked if we could inquire with a server, we were met with a blank stare. Ultimately, we had to clear a table ourselves to find a place to sit with our dog. After all that, we had a great time. It rained, so the house taps were only a buck, which is a nice perk. All the appetizers and entrees at our table were tasty and well-priced. Overall, now that we understand the pet situation, we'd go back and be less frustrated.

I came here a couple of times and I liked it the most when I could sit outside and enjoy the sun as well as the view. Unfortunately, given that it's so big they don't really do table service. Food is good!

I have only gone to Park Tavern for their 1/2 price sushi after 10 pm. The rolls are delicious and well done. I highly recommend the surf and turf roll. The only downside is there is often a long wait for the food. Overall, a great time to catch up with friends by the park!

Very large and buzzy tavern on the end of the great Peachtree Park. Sat on their large outside terrace and enjoyed some great Chicken Teriyaki and Burrito bowls with good selection of beer. Was a real party and relaxed atmosphere - Can park nearby in the general park area for a few dollars- will return again

Attended a wedding and reception here. Basically a good venue but lack of consistent air conditioning throughout facility was quite noticeable. Not sure if this an ongoing issue but this place would get top marks with this one improvement. Temperature outside was mid 80's. Otherwise place, staff, service, and wedding were all great.

The venue was nice. Went to see a quartet orchestra show. The staff were friendly. The food was ok. Nice place for events

Park Tavern is mediocre at best. It serves as the watering hole for The Most Basic among the basic crowd, and the food/drinks are generic & overpriced, while the vast majority of the staff is uneducated and ill-mannered (with the exception of our server, Heather. She was awesome and should be working at a much better establishment than this craphhole.) If there were other businesses located within Piedmont Park, this place would fizzle out in two seconds. However, given the fact that Park Tavern basically has a monopoly over the entire park area, they've demonstrated that they couldn't care less about providing quality customer service or quality anything for that matter. Sorry Park Tavern, but you can't fool me. You will never experience the privilege of my patronage again.

Had dinner before concert inside the restaurant. Good dinner - Big bang tacos, Spicy chicken sandwich & Asian Super Salad. All the food was good, server was Berenice and she was great. Wine $9 glass and beer $5. Nice atmosphere.

Love walking with my husband, two girls, and my golden retriever son on either the beltline or piedmont park. After we work up an appetite we head over to park tavern for lunch. Patio is first come first serve which sometimes can be challenging so get there early. Think they open at 11:30. Food is good not fantastic but love how dog friendly it is.

Park Tavern has been our go-to spot for years, whether it’s Mother’s Day brunch, spring afternoons on the park, watching the Braves play, or just to grab a bite to eat. The staff is very friendly and attentive to all patrons. 10/10 recommend to all!

Wow. I don't even know where to start. The site for this place is really not telltale because they host events and if people are showing up for free or for a chill hangout, it's cool because it's a nice atmosphere. But if you are actually driving there for the dining experience, turn around. I went with friends around 11pm and they have half off sushi from 10-12 and it was all just hovering below mediocre so we were convinced they were getting rid of older ingredients. Our spider roll came out fried and Rock hard cold and got swapped for a no better slimy ultra thinly sliced tuna topped shogun roll. Any cheap ingredient sites up the most like a veggie or cream cheese. The burgers were okay. Mine came out practically cold but other people liked the gorgonzola bison burger. They are small and come with no side but still cost 8+ bucks. You will receive exactly one slice of lettuce and tomato with the bun. Service is beyond slow but our server wasnt unpleasant. Food took forever also so for people just hanging and drinking.. this place is fine.. Loud as well.. but not for a date or hangout where you hope to catch up. Parking is $10 also so we did some carpooling/street parking and walked for free. They added 18% gratuity as well so I felt like I just wasted 30 bucks on old sushi that I could have bought at a grocery store and an overcooked ordinary petite hamburger. Sounds like everyone reviewed it well for being a cool hangout place near the park with dog accessibility but they are completely unorganized about outdoor seating. They charge 25 bucks to sit by the fence with fake grass bedding and nicer chairs. Everyone else can sit in the pebble gravel floor with uncushioned metal seats. Chairs sink and feet will too. Indoor seating is very small and bar like... so outside is better but overall.. I would think a different restaurant entirely is better. Not worth your time.

Good food great service and pleasant atmosphere distinguish this place as a moderately priced restaurant. Enjoy the Atl gardens and a good meal here

Thanks for giving us cheese heads a safe and fun place to celebrate Good drinks. Ok food. But fun fun was had all night long Go Pack Go

Horrible experience. I rarely write reviews, but this experience had to be shared. The hostess was unwelcoming. The waitress was to busy worried about what my 1year old daughter was eating instead of doing her job. The two times she came to our table was to complain about my daughter's food. Never once asked us were we ready to order. The m.o.d. (manager on duty) Chapin (Sushi Chef) was absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. He comes to our table and starts yelling at us about this food that my daughter was eating. Didn't introduce himself and he constantly cut us off. I finally decided I've had enough of him yelling at me, so I began to speak over him. He decides after treating us with the upmost disrespect that it was our time to leave. He put us out of the restaurant. I'm absolutely upset. My experience with this place has to be one of the worst. I have never been put out of a restaurant, or treated with so much disrespect. I have been a waitress before therefore I know the levels of CUSTOMER SERVICE that should be giving to a customer. I am extremely disappointed. There should be some sort of disciplinary action taken. The most disappointing 'up scale' experience I have ever had.

We went on a Sunday night. The service was great. The sushi and the shrimp tacos were also good. I just wish they had more typical entrees on the menu. It was mainly just bar food and small plates. They have half priced sushi late nights and definitely something we want to try.

O.m.gosh, this place is, amazing, from our waiter Michael, our view, the atmosphere, our food. Everything was excellent. I love it, and Piedmont Park is right there so you can go for a nice stroll after you fill yourself up! Wonderful, wonderful perfect place.

Nice outside on a Saturday ...looking for a place to chill out and plug in and do a little work...Park Tavern is not the place. My first time here today...I grew up in the ATL..have always heard great things about Park Tavern and was at Piedmont park on a Saturday afternoon and decided to drop in and check it out. I had a little stuff that I needed to do online. I had my laptop with me and asked very politely if I could find a place to eat and work. They are very upfront that it was seat yourself outside and that you have to order something to sit down and eat. There are signs posted throughout. This was not an issue as I made my intentions clear when I came in... I first sat in the patio area, I was told you could only order drinks on the bar patio area despite there being ketchup and soy sauce on the table from the group before me (see photo #1). Next, I moved to a large circular table and caught a server walking by and asked him to order egg rolls and a beer. I was told you could ask any server to order something as they kind of float around. There were many empty tables and a few with groups btw 2-5 people right next to my table. Without asking if she could help me or if I wanted to order, a waitress came up and reiterated that you have to order something to sit at a table. She pasted a sign on my table only (see photo #2). I told her I had already ordered and that I was waiting for the server to come back. By this time, I had been there about 20 minutes so I pulled out the stopwatch app on my phone so I could track how much longer. Then 3 servers come out with several orders for 2 tables sitting near me, they took the liberty of setting the serving tray with other peoples’ food on it very near me (see photo #4). At the 30 minute mark, I was really hungry and decided to leave. Final comments WiFi access for patrons: in the age of cybersecurity issues and people sitting at cafes with public WiFi and stealing / skimming peoples’ information, a restaurant like Park Tavern should offer patrons the WiFi password for both of its wireless networks (PT-Olmsted and PT-patio). All staff should be equipped with this information. I was told by the bartender that they don’t give him that type of information. I finally got a password from the greeter but she acted like she was doing something top secret when she gave it to me. Management: The greeter offered for me to talk with the manager which I took her up on. The manager offered up a ton of excuses (e.g., large groups, Easter weekend prep, wedding the night before) why the service was horrible but did not seem really apologetic that my service was bad. All in all, this was a pretty poor experience at Park Tavern so not sure I will be back.

This restored old granite building anchors the corner of 10th Street and Monroe Drive at Piedmont Park. Parkside patio and restaurant with views, very popular for business, catered affairs and of course: weddings. Food has not impressed me the two dozen times we've gone, but the setting never fails nor does the company we keep there. That counts a lot!

We had a great time at Park Tavern located right next to Piedmont Park! This is a great spot to grab a drink or a meal after a long day at the park. Park Tavern also offers bunch specials such half off bloody mary’s and discounted champagne bottles. There are plenty of TVs if you are looking for a place to watch a sports game with friends. Park Tavern also has a stunning venue space that can be booked for a wedding that overlooks the park. Add this place to your Atlanta list!

Park Tavern is located right next to Piedmont Park which very convenient. They are open during and after all major events at the park. Very popular is their half price sushi daily starting at 10pm-midnight. The ambiance inside is incredible especially in the colder seasons as there are many fire places, dim lighting and candles. The menu offers a variety of items ranging from sushi to tacos to sandwiches. I ordered the Mahi Mahi sandwich which was pretty good!

This place is a favorite for me and my man to have late night sushi. We go often. They have a half off deal every night after 10pm and it is absolutely delicious but it closes at 12am. They have an outdoor seating area and inside seating. Park Tavern's couches by the fire place are a favorite place for us. When it rains they have half off draft beers which is also a great time to stop by the place. I will say that the wait staff is not the best especially when you get there late night and they are obviously ready to get off. The tables are a mess and its seat yourself and you may not get a server to come to your table for quite a few minutes, we always end up having to flag someone down after waiting. Otherwise, great food, good ambiance, and awesome price for late night fare.

We've been going to a Park Tavern for years for NYE. It's always been great, with plenty of bars, short lines for drinks, etc. I guess this year they decided they'd sell a lot more tickets than in the past. As a result, it was incredibly crowded, with ridiculous lines for drinks, and most of all, to coat check. I spent an hour and a half total in line to check or coats and to pick up our checked coats. There was ONE person checking coats, and then a bunch of security standing around talking about how they couldn't help with coat checks. Hey idiots, maybe you could have more than one coat check for 3000 people? Do yourself a favor. Burn your money and stay home. It'll be a better experience.

This is more of a private event space that happens to serve food. But, the location is awesome. If the weather is good, grab a table outdoors and enjoy views of the park and midtown.

Came here recently for a wedding, and it was really great. Love the venue, the appetizers were really good, and dinner was good too. Hard to beat the view of downtown Atlanta across the park at sunset. Bottom line the location and the view make the place more so than the food, drinks and service. But, it all balances out!

Wonderful menu with eclectic food. Sushi rolls are fantastic, beef bowl yummy and the fried shrimp was perfect. A must visit when in Atlanta

They think they can get away with sub par food and bad service because of their privileged location.

The staff was very well prepared to host and execute a great GB Packer celebration last night. I was there with my wife and we partied in a spacious venue which offered great midtown skyline views at night. Thanks for enduring the undeserving negative publicity from the Atlanta community. Green Bay would have welcomed Falcon fans had the game taken place there.

Great place to people watch. If you are not a dog person do not go here. Everyone has and brings their dog. Drinks and food choices are decent but expensive for what you get. No restaurant parking. Have to use a convoluted (hard to use) city parking lot system with only two stations neither of them situated close to your parking spots.

Visited during the Dogwood Festival on a Sunday afternoon. It was not overly busy so not sure why our server, Joshua had such a HORRIBLE attitude. Anytime we asked a question we received very short a rude answers and he seemed to spend more time talking with his friends/other servers than tending to his tables. We thought we were going to have 8 people but only ended up with 4 BUT still managed to get an automatic 18% gratuity added to our bill. The food was not bad but nothing to make me want to return this establishment. I know we should have asked for a manger but after all the run around and time we wasted we just wanted to get on our way but I did email the Park Tavern from their website and surprisingly never heard a word from them! If you want to try this place go ahead but I know there are many other and much better places to eat with friendlier staff!!

Set right in Piedmont park, we came for the outdoor seating on a nice day. We all ate, as well, although the consensus was that the food was mediocre. The grilled cheese didn't have any good remarks, and the bbq sandwich and spicy sandwich were rated as "just alright." I had the the wings, which were very typical for wings. I wish there was the option to get more than 1 sauce, but they serve one. The dish comes with 12, which is definitely sufficient. Unfortunately, the sandwiches don't come with a side, so the fries et al are all extra cost. In terms of drinks, I was pleased. The PT brews some of their own, and I recommend the OImstead. It was a perfect combination of dark and light ale for the season. Expect a line on a gorgeous weekend! The outdoor seating goes quickly, and when it is packed, the wait for drinks and food is incredibly long. We ended up staying for a couple hours. There is a lovely inside too, with TVs for sports, large couches, and fireplaces. They are assembling their annual skating rink now, and it'll be available on Thanksgiving.

We stopped here for lunch after the Atlanta Aquarium. The food is excellent and the craft beer is very tasty. The fact that we were able to eat near the park, you had a feel of eating outdoors, almost like having a picnic. We will be back!

Overlooks a pretty park, but that’s about all it has going for it. Uneven floor covered in fake turf, wine comes in short square stemless glasses, food average, service average, “souvenir glass” is actually a cheap plastic upscale Solo cup.

Friendly and fun place. Great bartenders and servers. Attended a special private event with family and friends. Didn't know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised.

Great atmosphere with a TV at the bar to catch the game. Pet friendly establishment, that comes with a great view of Midtown.

They grew their own beer which is quite tasty, import for one dollar a glass when it is raining; they often have music in the evenings; they have a good brunch lunch and dinner

Great atmosphere. We enjoyed watching the dogs in this dog-friendly bar. The summer patio menu was a little disappointing. I order chips and salsa. My niece ordered wings and my sister ordered chicken fingers, but the fingers ended up tasting just like the wings....spicy, not crisp. The order pickup was a little confusing (coronavirus system), but it's a great place to visit and will come again. No table service. You ordered and paid for drink and/or appertizers at a window. Then they "called" you when it was ready (rang the phone but never said anything). and you went to pick it up.

Very nice buffet brunch with surprisingly good food. Service was very informal but the food was surprisingly good. Would definitely go back here to try the regular menu.

This brewpub at the corner of Piedmont Park makes a great shelter in the event of bad weather, or respite if tired, cold or hot. It has about 12 taps including at least one cider and 4 house brews. About as many Sierra Nevada beers on tap as house brews. Parking can be difficult. Cozy interior and large, mostly covered outdoor seating area.

Our daughter and grandchildren live in Atlanta and whenever we visit (2-3 times a year) Our first dinner is always at the Park Tavern. We love sitting outside with the view of Piedmont Park as the back yard. The kids love it and the food is always excellent. We are generally entertained by a gentleman who comes by with his guitar and plays whatever you ask for. A lot of fun.

As a native Atlanta who's never visited Piedmont Park I took advantage of the $31 Groupon "deal". As others have stated, it was $31 for a private cabana and $25.00 worth of food. From my understanding, it's normally a hefty surcharge to sit in one of the cabanas. The cabanas are not actually what one would think. Your "private" cabana is actually a table for six outside. It's a wrought iron type table with chairs that are impossible to move on the shoddy astro turf beneath your feet. There is no privacy to them, as they're lined up along the exterior of the patio. It was still cool out so they had their plastic sheeting covering the area and the view of the park was at a minimum. I imagine the outdoor seating in the summertime would be quite nice; however, forget ANY kind of privacy from other patrons. Location was easy to find and parking is only $5. (Which for that area of town was very reasonable). Food was reasonably priced. Grilled cheese sandwich was amazing and the shrimp was good as well. Also try the classic mojito. Made VERY well! All in all the Groupon didn't seem very worth it. We'll probably go back and enjoy Piedmont Park as well.

We have had the opportunity to eat and drink at Park Tavern, both as Customers of the restaurant and as guests of a large wedding party. All occasions have been pleasant, the restaurant does not rest on its location alone. Clearly it strives to do well on all fronts. As a guest in the restaurant the food has always been pleasant. Certainly not top shelf but consistent and exactly what you would expect from a tavern on a park. I have enjoyed meals from Sushi (very fresh) to burger, fries and a beer. For a restaurant with such variety it can be enjoyed by a very large party (something for everyone). Service is always pleasant and it is clear that this is a place that they excel. The local is perfectly perfect on the park with a gorgeous backdrop of midtown Atlanta. Enjoy Park Tavern for what it is, pet a dog or two and do some great people watching. As a wedding venue it was amazed at the amount of detail that went into the planning of the event. Staff was incredibly knowledgeable and FLEXIBLE. They (Park Tavern) and Ron, the banquet manager continued to go above and beyond in making certain that the smallest of details had been covered. We went back no less than three times to review menu items and see how the room would be "flipped" From top to bottom every detail was covered. When it came to the night of the event, everyone made certain that it was perfect, allowing the wedding party to enjoy the night without worry. For dinner on the park, stop in and expect "tavern food" and something for everyone and every taste. Do some people watching and dog petting. For an event venue, let them do the lifting. They are pros at it. Not a thing to worry about except how to sooth sore feet after a night of carefree dancing.

I'd like to give Park Tavern a real critique - I don't want it to be puffed up due to it's location. I mean the setting/atmosphere of a restaurant does play into my opinion for sure but I don't want it to subconsciously affect my review of the food & service. So to get it out of the way - sitting outside enjoying nice weather while taking in the sights of Piedmont Park & the city skyline is awesome. So in that regard PT is excellent. But I'm afraid they rely too heavily on their location to do all the work for them. There is air about the place that says "we are so cool & wonderful that we don't have to provide excellent food & service." Now let's get real & view the rest as if it's any other restaurant. My boyfriend & I arrived early (around 5pm) on a Wed night in May before going to the botanical garden. We were among the first people there (there were maybe 4-5 couples outside tops) yet we were unable to get a table at the edge closest to the park. Every single one had a reserved sign on it. Seemed a bit odd/suspicious...& frankly I was annoyed. And btw, by the time we left not one of those tables had anyone sitting there. Grrr. Service was pretty slow though we were in no rush. I tried to ask the waiter about the specialty drinks - I wanted the least sweet but he said they were all sweet (no help whatsoever). I tried 'the good afternoon' & was ok w/ it - it wasn't sickly sweet so I lucked out. My boyfriend ordered a draft Guinness & was told they were out (?) & the waiter suggested something else. So he went w/ it but guess what - turns out they were out of that too. (?!) We got the spinach dip as a starter & it was fine but had a very pureed kind of consistency which surprised me. The pita chips that came with it were all tiny little crumbles at the top w/ some bigger ones at the bottom of the container. Would try something different next time. For the mains I had the shrimp basket w/ sweet potato fries - the shrimp were really good - pretty large size. He had a burger w/ onion rings which he thought was good but not as good as the H&F burgers we get at Braves' games. So I wasn't overly impressed w/ this visit - definitely room for improvement. If they step things up in the food & service areas I'll be happy to go back. But there are so many restaurants out there to try I won't be running to return to Park Tavern.

This place got 2 stars because I gave credit to the friendly bartender and the man who tried to make it right when all was wrong. We came in around 9pm, sat outside. No one came up to tell us that we needed to order at the bar. So after 5 minutes and no server at our table we went to ask. We ordered at the bar, and when we got the text that our food was ready, we went inside to get it. There were 4 of us so it was a lot of food. They give us half our food and tell us they're making the rest over again because they messed it up. A few minutes later they bring out the rest. "Steak tacos" that had 1 slice of beef in some corn tortillas. Literally THAT'S ALL. The sweet potato waffle fries were VERY overcooked, the impossible burger was charred, the steak tacos, well like I said there was nothing but 1 piece of meat in a tortilla. The shrimp appetizer had hardly any sauce on it and the burger we ordered "medium " was WELL done, overcooked, and loaded with mayo. The gentleman behind the bar tried to make it right by bringing out all the toppings that were supposed to be on the tacos and tried to see if he could get fresh fries, but the tacos were a bust, there was no recovering from the tough piece of beef on the cold tortillas and there were no more fries. The kitchen was now closed. The thing with this place is that you pay up front, tip up front so at this point his offer to "try" to take the tacos off the bill was futile. He offered the easier way was to comp us 2 more drinks from the bar, and at that point we were so frustrated we agreed, finished our drinks and left. An overall bad experience. Would not recommend.

The park tavern was easy to find in midtown Atlanta. Free parking in the huge gravel lot for wedding attendees. One major problem was the summer heat in Atlanta which was 98 degrees late afternoon made it rather warm for the guests during both the reception and the wedding even with the air conditioning. The appetizers and dinner were very good. The bar tenders did not all know about mixed drinks. So only a so so rating here

Nice settings, service slow and food was average. Parking was not easy. Long walk and they allow dogs outside. Now I like dogs just not next me when I am eating.

Visited in January when in town for the NFC Championship game. Great atmosphere, and excellent food. Housed in an historic 1928 park building, its worth a visit!

We went here with some friends on our date night. This place was awesome. Great food, great service, good music. If you are looking for a place to hang out and experience Atlanta, this is one of those places. Gorgeous view of Atlanta skyline at night. We will definitely be back!

The best thing about this place is probably the patio. You can bring your dog and have lunch/coffee outside. They also have part of their garden separated for private events such as weddings or corporate gatherings. Great place overall. Try their sushi - it's surprisingly good!

Went a bit early for dinner and then caught a fun show with Yacht Rock Revue. Perfect spot in Piedmont Park with acceptable food and beer selections. They have a real deal sushi bar as well. Service was good and we had a nice time. This place does everything from weddings, to ice skating in the winter, to concerts in the summer.

If you can get a seat, it's a great place to relax and have a beer or cocktail while you enjoy the park. The parking is terrible but aside from that it's a lovely venue.

Visited the Park Tavern recently Atlanta, for my birthday. The service was wonderful and normally the view from the cabana would have been great but they had a stage set up for a concert the next night. Following dinner we took a nice walk around Piedmont Park.

Park Tavern in Midtown Atlanta overlooks Piedmont Park. During winter months, our family enjoys the temporary ice rink. While the kids skate, we relax and enjoy the food and cocktails from Park Tavern. It's a great, casual place to catch up with friends in the heart of the city!

Was looking forward to a great burger. They advertise angus beef and it might have been but it was very greasy. It was also 2 small patties as opposed to 1 so they slid off each other. Bang bang shrimp app was good. I was looking forward to trying their ipa but it wasn't available so had a tasty Sweetwater instead.

A group of 18 of us celebrated October birthdays here and were able to find parking and a space though a festival was going on in the park nearby. I should have been suspect after this observation. Everyone agreed that the food was pretty good. I had the spicy shrimp appetizer, pork belly appetizer and grilled mahi-mahi tacos. All was pretty good but my favorite was the pork belly. The place was totally lacking in amenities, it was open air and there must be a canal or stable nearby because I kept getting a whiff of "something" stagnant. I will go again, the food was really good and the attendant was very accommodating and patient. The prices were a good value for an intown restaurant. I was disappointed though when I asked for coffee and though it was early he said they didn't have anymore. The food and the lack of amenities were conflicting each other. I can get past that and return again.

App of shrimp was tiny, no flavor in the "bang-bang" at all. Had to get sriracha to give it any taste. The ginger chicken salad was miniscule too, esp for the price. There was just some frilly lettuce and a few microscopic diced shaved cucumbers. I have eaten there a few times before, last maybe 3 years ago. Never was the portion so paltry. We were still so hungry we went elsewhere for a calzone afterward despite 2 meals, 2 sides, & an appetizer and a price tag of about $40. They also automatically included an 18% tip...no warning. The server was alright, but unless I am in a big party, I expect to tip at my discretion. Especially since the the wait for food/corrections was long, and the quality substandard. Kicker was we both got diarrhea the next few days too. Yay! No more Park Tavern for me again. They used to be good, but...sheesh, this was bad.

We went here for a company party so I wasn't expecting much in the way of food or service but was pleasantly surprised. Enjoyed it so much I really didn't want to leave!

This place made my dreams come true and then some. Food was great, service was amazing and the venue was astounding.

Park Tavern brews some of there own beer, tried the Pale Ale and it was pretty good. My burger was excellent and service was fantastic. Great outside views of the park and the city. Only issue is that they do not have their own parking lot, so you have to pay to park in the lot associated with the park, not the tavern.

So this palce has a great location, but serves subpar food. Too bad because this used to be a good place to eat and hang out. Warm beer and crappy food. Find someplace else to go.

Dined here on a Monday night with a group of six. Enjoyed our waiter who helped us with some drink recommendations. Appetizers ended up being better than the entrees. Overall food quality was good, not great, but kind of what we expected to begin with. The grilled cheese sandwich with fried green tomatoes was fairly good, but probably not something I would order again.

Worst place I have visited in Atlanta. Dishonest and rude management. Promises were made to see the world cup of soccer on a big screen facing the park for free but the owner ended up changing the agreement made with the mayor and the Atlanta soccer supporters: terminus legion. What was to become an event for everybody became an event that families could not attend to because of unexpected carding of visitors. People who had brought coolers to see the game outside the bar, as was agreed, got threatened to be arrested. The big screen was not facing the park but was only visible inside the venue. Hundreds of people got tricked just for the financial benefit of one person or organisation. I Will never go there again.

Park Tavern may have as many dogs as people on the outdoor patio at any given time. And thus if you don't like dogs or your dog doesn't like other dogs, maybe this isn't the place for you. But otherwise the drinks are served in a reasonable amount of time for a fair price and you get a free bottle of water on a hot day with your order (though I really wonder with being in a public park why they give out bottles of water and not just pitchers to help out the environment).

The bar is in a great location. First impression were not good as the front of house was on the phone and made no attempt to make eye contact with us, pretty much ignoring us. Not a good first impression. A server did inform us to seat ourselves. We sat by the bar. Inside decor is a little classy than a usual bar but it was nice. The place was quite full but the service was still efficient and well mannered. I had the Scritachi chicken and my wife had the Mahi Mahi sandwich. Both was served quickly and both were freshly cooked. No complaints from me and I definately go again. It seems a local place as you cannot really park close by (well to my knowledge) Our server was nice (attractive girl!), she was well mannered and ensureed we always had what we wanted. Was a little pricey for what you got mind, cost us over $30 As we left the front of house was still on the phone!!!

Outdoor seating and complimentary chilled bottle water. What a great way to start for a late lunch. Sauteed brussel sprouts were a great appetizer. Then came the shrimp tacos. So tasty and just the right spice. service was attentive. Highly recommend and will return!

Fantastic party no waiting good food, for a couple of thousand family and friends! Thanks for the Love#

Take a date to the Piedmont park for Frisbee, Boccee, dog park or general playing. Then follow up with a great Sunday nights at Park Tavern. Live music, beautiful park, awesome staff, great food and good house beers. Olive is an awesome waitress with a smile that doesn't stop. I suggest the pork belly buns, any of the sushi, or anything else on the menu. This is one of my favorite spots and gives me something really fun to do on a Sunday night.

Had a wonderful time with family Ice Skating at Park Tavern. Very comfortable environment Dining there was also wonderful and very convenient

My son is at basketball camp this week at Georgia State University and since he's downtown with me for the week I thought we'd take advantage of the time and visit a few restuarants. We started yesterday with Park Tavern (I had a Living Social deal for a private cabana and $25 worth of food - cause if you read my reviews, you know I LOVE a deal!) Anyway, beautiful day 80+ degrees, and Destin and I are in our element. Kudos to Rose (the hostess) and Michael (our server) for making us feel some welcome and giving us excellent service. We came for the sushi and boy we were not disappointed! Michael gave us the rundown and we started off with the Surf and Turf (King Crab roll) followed by the Firecracker (cause I like spicy) and of course we had to get the obligatory California Roll. I also had something Michael recommended - the Red and White sashimi tuna and it was DELISH!!! There was a table of folks next to us and we engaged in some lively conversation with them which added to our great visit. Oh and did I mention the Lemon Berry cocktail that Michael suggested -- Get one! Hot summer day, ice cold lemonade cocktail, a few plates of sushi and some good company! Perfect way to end the work day!

I have only had sushi here and drinks. Both are very good and reasonably priced. Service is hit or miss and I tip likewise. Aside from Steel this is the only decent sushi in Midtown. They do have an extensive food/drink menu- and they hosted a very nice Crawfish Boil last summer.

I was visiting Atlanta & my friends who live in Midtown decided we should go to Park Tavern. It was an all-inclusive price for the ticket. The alcohol was of good quality & unlimited. I didn't end up eating any food as the line was too long but the food looked good. There were multiple rooms with different music genres. There was a champagne toast at midnight. It was a lot of fun & would definitely spend another New Year's there!

I was there this evening and enjoyed ice skating at the rink. It was a long overdue break that my family needed. We checked the kids out of school early and headed to midtown. To start with when I made dinner reservations earlier in the day, the hostess acted as if it was going to be extremely busy and not sure if she could "fit me in" and was just lacked basic customer service skills. When we got there, there was NO ONE THERE! 8 people at tops were ice skating and the restaurant was a ghost town. The two young ladies who helped get our ice skates were FABULOUS!!!. They had a great disposition and just seemed genuinely interested in my family's comfort. Mason, our waiter was a sweet heart too. He and the skating staff were the highlight of my experience. Mason surprised us by bringing our food out to the table even though he didn't have to since we ate rinkside. There was this blond head lady who wore a gold mini skirt and high black heels who kept walking back and forth as if she was the Mayor. Most managers speak when you make eye contact. I made repeated eye contact with her, and she did not budge. All she did was snap orders at a few staff and act as if I was invisible. For that, I give Park Tavern a 1. Service is everything to me. Everything. I'd rather have great service and terrible food, than terrible service and great food. She just dampened my experience. In a recession, every other restaurant I visit, the mangagers and staff are eager to ensure that guests are happy and at least smile at them when one makes eye contact but I guess since Southwest Airline sponsors the Rink and they must have heavy sponsorship dollars, they don't care about customer service. They need to do something with the hostess also, She's the worst. Someone needs to tell her to stop texting and get off her damn. phone. Again, when i leave a restarant, most folks say "have a good evening" or "thanks for coming in". The hostess just kept playing on her phone and did not acknowledge me or my family at all. What a bunch of fruitcakes. Visited January 2013

Loved it! Simple as that! Worth the visit. House brewed draft beers, home made style burgers. Good appetizers. And if you are bold; you can try the carolina reaper wings.

I am Jessica Ammons of Lifetime "Big Women: Big Love" and I was in this facility this evening and was completely flabbergasted by the treatment of the owner and upper level management. I visited the venue with my hairstylist as a special guest of the "Girls Night Out" presented by LivieRae Lingerie & Q100. Upon waiting for the evenings festivities to begin we visited the bar and ordered drinks and food. Once our good was delivered we went back upstairs to the holding area and sat in the banquet room to eat. Once we sat down an older black gentleman came up to us and said "ya'll need to move before you mess up my damn table cloth!" At that point I asked to speak to a manager and he replied "I am one!" I then called park tavern while seated and requested the GM. Before the GM arrived the gentleman returned and proceeded to snatch the table cloth from under our tray stating "ya'll can stay seated but I'm taking my damn table cloth!" Not only did my entire drink spill on the table but my IOS6 almost fell to the floor as a result. Once the GM arrived he came with the owner of the establishment and they escorted us into the "kitchen" suggested we eat with "the help" and the OWNER told the GM "look we have other things to, end this concersation and lets go!" At this point I refused to stay and walk in the fashion show. Before leaving I have one last stitch effort to speak with the owner before leaving and he proceeds to say "ma'am we're busy tonight and this conversation is over. If your going to leave then do so..." Never in my life have I ever been so rudely disrespected and treated less an human. I will never again patronize The Park Tavern. As beautiful as the facility is, one would think the service would be better but hey.... What do you do when the owner and upper level management disrespect you?

This place is terrible. The food has never been good. This was always made up for by the park views and ok service. Now the service is absolutely terrible and the food is consistently terrible. Even the beer was hot last time we visited. I hope this place closes soon and we can get a quality venue in this location.

Was looking forward to the great sushi shown on Atlanta eats following the Eagles concert Friday night. Ubered from Philips Arena to Park Tavern and the Parking lot was blocked off with traffic cones. People were emptying out in limos and the Tavern appeared to be closed. I have heard from other people that this place is routinely "bought out" for events. Might be good for a dog walk out of the Park on the weekend but don't make it a destination on a weekend because they appear more interested in selling the whole place for an event than running a restaurant. Their decision but I won't waste an Uber ride there again. TOO MANY dependable spots in the ATL. C ya Park Tavern!!! NOT!

Came to skate at their rink. Lines took forever, didn't have skate sizes. Bar lines were incredibly long. No one is in charge here. A terrible excuse for an establishment.

I love this place with its location on the Park. We have been patrons for years and are never disappointed. The Park Tavern is the. best place for Mother’s Day Brunch always. The food was fantastic and the weather was perfect. Sam is a manager there and she always aims to please!!! The owners are hands on too! Thank you for a wonderful Mother’s Day! Kristy

Absolutely not COVID safe. Went at 5pm on a Saturday and there were easily more than 300 people there not wearing masks or social distancing. It was shocking. I wish I had not gone.

My uncle and his wife took us here on our short visit to Atlanta. Awesome food and plenty of drinks. I especially loved the fact that the furry faced kids are welcome on the patio that overlooks the park! We just happened to be there on the night that Pokémon Go started.

Poor management. Party of 2 sitting at tables for 6. We were 5 and they accommodated us in a 4 seat square table. Full of dogs walking around tables whir eating.

After a day at Piedmont Park, there is no better way than to top it off with drinks and dinner at Park Tavern. A long-time midtown tradition, the food never fails and the visits are always pleasant.

this is a great way to enjoy a sunny day in Piedmont Park. Get a pitcher of beer and some fries or a salad. The food is nothing special, but it is fun to watch folks playing Frisbee or walking their dogs and stay in the action while chilling w/ a drink. it is also a lot of fun at night when local bands play.

I ordered the grilled chicken kale Cesar salad and I was hard pressed to find much kale. The chicken was quite dry. The best is the park atmosphere.

My visit was not the typical one for food or drinks as I went to take some of my friends kids to the ice skating ring there. While they skated, I had my dinner while watching them. They do a great job with the outdoor dining during the cold season. As a vegetarian, I normally go to Park Tavern for drinks only as their vegetarian menu is limited. They have 2 vegetarian appetizers: black bean dip (good) and hummus (ok). They have have vegetarian sushi but the last time I went for lunch, they did not have that available. I would suggest adding other vegetarian options since that is definitely a reason for me to meet there with friends and I normally don't get to eat anything. As I have been there during other times, I will say that if you are dog friendly, they have a lovely outdoor area for you to dine and have your dog with your that is fenced in so that everyone in the park does not run into you. It's a great time to sit at the edge of the park on a spring/summer evening with friends and a drink.

We have been to Park Tavern several times while living in Atlanta. The porch is great, they have $1 beers if it's raining, and you can't beat the view and location overlooking Piedmont Park and the Atlanta skyline. The food is good, not great, but it's a fun place. I also liked it because we have been able to find discounts, and it's on my United CC program which adds extra miles. Good choice if you're in the Piedmont Park area, even if just for a drink.

A friend and I were visiting Atlanta from Florida. I have been to Park Tavern a few times and I don't go back because of the friendly service. I enjoyed being able to walk through Piedmont Park then grab a beer, relax, and enjoy the view, but not the service. It took forever to get a beer and when you're at the bar ordering it is like the bartender cannot get rid of you fast enough. I work for a restaurant group in Florida and I would hate for any of our bartenders to treat our customers like that.

It's pretty clear this is going to be the last year of ice skating at Park Tavern. They are clearly milking it this year and it's completely different than any year before. They have sold tickets on Groupon and other discount sites for dirt cheap and it seems without limits. We live near there and have gone ice skating often every year, but this year we've tried four times and we were only successful skating twice. First, if you go at a popular time (weekends, evenings) it's quite possible there will be an extremely long line. The first time we went they turned us away, stating there was a two hour wait. This was at 6 PM and my son is under 16. You have to be 16 to skate after 8 PM. The second time we went was late afternoon on a weekday and we were able to skate but the restaurant wasn't open so there was no food or drink available except water. Some people brought their own food in (pizza from Mellow Mushroom across the street). The third day we again had to leave as the line to skate was too long ( the length of the rink), and the last time, we were able to skate, but the water on the ice was just too much. If you fell you got soaked. I did not see a Zamboni, which was always present in previous years. It breaks my heart, because this was such a nice venue with great skating, a great ice skating teacher (who is still there BTW), and a big fireplace (closed off now) with hot chocolate drinks and good snacks. They don't even have a number to call to see if the rink is full - only the restaurant number and when they are not open no one answers the phone. The only thing I can figure is that they are not going to have this any more and they are selling as many tickets and staffing as little as possible to make as much money off this rink before they shut it down for good. So sad. We are going to miss you formerly best ink rink in Atlanta gone bad. Shame on you Park Tavern and shame on you Aquafina!!

Was not impressed with service, ice rink, or food !! Would not recommend this restaurant to mature couples looking for a date night! Service was low scale, ordering style was like a fast food restaurant, rink was very small and not well maintained !!

Waiting in the rain started off on a sour note. Finally moving to the upstairs dining room changed that immediately, The buffet line was nearly empty and such a sumptuous array of food, Salmon, eggs Benedict, cheese grits, potatoes, green beans, fried chicken. Then fruit, salads, ceasar, chicken were all delicious. Dessert table had Mimosas, coffee, orange juice. Ceiling to floor airy white curtains make it very cheerful. Waiters cleared immediately. Excellent food. Will be dreaming about it.

Located at Monroe and 10th St at one end of Piedmont Park, this is a nice spot to enjoy a meal or drinks with a view of the park. Fifty years ago it was the clubhouse for the old 9 hole golf course.

We went here this past saturday when it rained most of the day. They have $1 house draft beers when it rains. We ordered ale, wheat and pilsner beers. They were all very tasty. It seemed they were a little short staffed (they were setting up for a wedding later that day in another room.) Our waiter had to make a few of our mixed drinks. He was a good sport and admitted he wasn't sure if he got it right. With a few tweaks, he got things corrected. The food was really good. I had the deviled eggs starter. My husband had the salmon bowl. Another friend had the fried green tomato grilled cheese (soon good!) We started with the big bang shrimp, which was delicious. Our kids sat at another table, ordered things and then went to play frisbee in the park. Since we were outdoors, it was easy to keep an eye on them. The $1 beers kept coming and soon enough, we ventured inside and found a place in front of the fire place. I'm not sure how long we were there, but I'm pretty sure it was much longer than we planned since we were having a good time. My only complaint is that they were very slow to clear the tables. I think the waiter isn't allowed to clear the tables. So he commented that he wondered where the bus crew was. (Maybe getting ready for the wedding, I don't know.) We eventually just went inside and that solved the problem. Fortunately, it wasn't crowded.

Located right on Piedmont Park (hence the name), it has a fantastic view of the Midtown skyline and super convenient access to the Beltline. I come here mainly for the vibe, although their food is surprisingly not too bad. It's an interesting mixture of American and Japanese- they have everything from wings, tacos, and burgers to a full sushi menu. Sushi is also half off after 10 pm. My favorite menu items are the spinach/crab/lobster dip, mahi-mahi basket, and sashimi bowl. Service has always been good, especially given how many times I've been here with a large group. It's also part of the SkyMiles dining, which is always a plus for miles hoarders like me. Whether I'm doing ladies night with half off bottles of wine on Wednesdays, listening to live music at their Summer Sessions on Sundays, falling on my face in the converted ice skating rink in the winter, stuffing my face at an event such as Oysterfest, or ringing in the new year with Yacht Rock (twice), this place is my go-to spot for patio drinking with friends all year long.

We visited here for ice skating for the grandkids. It was a lot of fun. We arrived early so enjoyed a visit to Piedmont Park prior to skating. Parking is $3 which is a bargain in Atlanta! We stayed and ate afterwards. All the people working there are very nice and the atmosphere is fun and laid back. They allow dogs to come in with guest and we are dog people so that was fine with us. We shared an order of SPINACH, KING CRAB & LOBSTER DIP and we enjoyed it but it was served originally with only a handful of chips so we had to wait on more. The grandkids enjoyed their cheeseburgers and fries. Some of our family had sushi and were okay with that. I had the chicken burrito bowl and was disappointed as it was mostly rice and chicken. I will order something different next time. I'm giving it a very good but not for the food.

this place is a nice atmosphere for families and dog lovers..food is delicious people are friendly prices are reasonable....Try the hot wings the are good.

The lighting and overall atmosphere was really cool at night. I had dinner with a group of about 8 friends here, and we loved it. Great view of the skyline and right on the park. Parking can get a bit busy on the weekends but it's only $5. Would come back again!!

Stopped for a late lunch after a tour of the Botanical Gardens and a walk through Piedmont Park. We were pleasantly surprised at the interesting menu. I loved the southern grilled cheese sandwich which has fried green tomatoes and three kinds of cheese. We also liked how a server arrives at your table almost immediately after you are seated with bottles of water. Great after a walk in the large sunny park.

My Husband and I had our first date here 17 years ago. We went back there on our 17th anniversary this year. What a The food wasn't too bad. Just middle of the road. But the atmosphere was a let down. The place looks closed down from the front of the place. Once you get downstairs to the outside dinning you see a large "ball room" that used to be the outdoor patio. The patio used to be made of rock and all of the tables had umbrellas and you had a clear view of the park. Now it has had a build over and It had chairs and tables scattered throughout. Now the dinning are was in what actually looked like a DIY screened in porch with an AstroTurf floor. There were buckets and construction materials all over the place. Not good view of the park anymore. The side of the restaurant that you can see walking up 10th street is totally trashed up. With such a cool building and awesome location this place should be 4 star all the way. But instead its just a mess. Needless to say we were very let down that this place that is special to us has changed so much for the wore. We will not be going back.

Arrived here after a walk in Piedmont Park . Warm Autumn day so place was pretty packed . Found a spot on the grass and took in the amazing skyline .

My date and I had a great time at the New Year's Eve party with Yacht Rock. We purchased VIP tickets and got in an hour early. Excellent oysters, sushi, carving stations, and other dishes. Really enjoyed Yacht Rock! Acoustic session for VIPs was fun and we danced for hours. Crowded as expected. Long lines for women's restroom. Plenty of beverage stations and premium beers and liquours. Friendly crowd, courteous staff, professional security all made the evening awesome. Downpour a little after midnight created a taxi nightmare, but we got home safely. I'd go again.
All-In-One Venue Biting Off More Than It Can Chew
I have been The Park Tavern numerous times over the years, for everything from dinner to special events to bar hangouts to ice skating. Never once have I left the venue saying, "That was a great experience." First, the nitty-gritty. The food is good, at best, and "Why did I order this?" bad, at worst. The problem is there's no consistency, so you'll never know what you'll get. Drinks are typically OK but overpriced, and their microbrews are good, but not flavors anyone is clamoring for that can't be fund in your package store coolers. The service has never been great. During special events (which includes the downstairs area when the ice rink is up), servers and staff seem to run around like headless chickens. Even in the 'restaurant' portion, staff is typically disregarding of tables and inattentive to needs. Special events here are, put lightly, awful. The place always seems very ill-prepared for the crowds, either by not having enough staff or constantly running out of things that take forever to replenish. The Crawfish Festival, especially, is a massive rip-off. They charge admission just to get in, but once in, there's a charge for everything, including the crawfish. But then, you get in, and the beer lines are crazy long due to too few stations and the food lines are even worse. Not to mention that they constantly run out of crawfish, make you wait 10 minutes til they dump another pot, and then serve the cold crawfish (which were obviously cooked earlier in the day). Ridiculous. The ice rink and summer concerts are not much better. Little to no information on their website, and just utterly chaotic once you arrive. We made reservations with a large group this past winter for a dinner during the ice rink occupancy. They gave us a long table, literally, in the tent right next to the rink. The problem was that it was the middle of winter, and all they have to warm the space are 4 propane stand heaters to warm 3 long tables. We had our jackets on the entire time. Then, the propane ran out on the heaters closest to us, and the staff told us THEY RAN OUT OF PROPANE. Utterly ridiculous. Again, the main issue here is that the venue is trying to be a whole bunch of things while not excelling in the slightest at anything. It'd be a different story if the restaurant was good, the staff was top notch, and all the events were well planned and went off without a hitch. But that's not the case. The venue works on the fact that they have a very attractive location on the edge of the park, and people will come if just for that reason. The ownership could not care less what happens outside of people showing up. Repeat traffic probably isn't their main income source if I had to guess.
