Outstanding food and service

By Aman4allnations |

We have eaten here twice in the last fortnight and both times the food was first class. The bread is like naan and is fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

Best Iranian foods in San Antonio

By Frank43212015 |

We visit there every Saturday to enjoy lamb kabab. The foods are so good and you won't be disappointed.

A Favorite

By Mo A |

I frequent this place when I am in town. Never disappoints. Love the Mediterranean seasonings, marinades and food combinations. If it doesn't come with hummus, order it on the side. If it doesn't come with that awesome tzatziki sauce, order it on the side. Those two will make your meal complete!!

Formerly Nice Place

By Mike P |

The food was average, but the service non existent. It took forever to get water or even orders placed. Lastly to get dessert or a check. When the check finally arrives the waitress stands literally over you after punching the 20% tip link on the card reader. This was at the Stone Oak location in SA. It cost a little over $48 for one person. No alcohol. Never again.

Loved Our Lunch

By Evelyn C |

We arrived on a busy weekday and had a short wait, but it was worth it. Our server, Andrew, was polite and efficient answering all our questions about the menu. The manager brought over an enormous plate of fresh bread with a dipping sauce. The entree portions were huge, flavorful, and well prepared. We loved the falafels and the sauteed spinach. We left extremely full and very satisfied.

family friendly, great service and great food

By VIEQUESBEACHBUM |

Had dinner here with the family on a Friday night. The place was packed. The food was tasty and fresh and the piping hot fresh made bread was delicious. The hummus was creamy. We could BYOB but did not this time. Keep in mind no alcohol is on the menu, but great Turkish coffee is. I will be back here next visit to San Antinio

Not the greatest

By Larry Loewenstein |

Service was ok. Food took quite a while considering how few people were eating there. The nan bread was more like pita bread-hard. The Greek salad was poor - non of the ingredients were really fresh, tiny olives, almost no tomato and crumbly feta cheese. The meat on my wife's mixed platter was overdone & tough and my mixed gyro meet wasn't that good either.

One of our All-Time Favoriteis

By Lisa B |

You have to go here! The food is exceptional in every way. We used to live in the SA area and ate here frequently. Now that we've moved, we miss this restaurant the most of all. It's almost impossible to find the kind of food served here, at Pasha, elsewhere. Every time we're back in SA we make a point to eat here. Be sure and have their sweet tea. OH, my GOSH! We love the chicken sheesh-tawook, schwarma, lentil soup, gyros, or gyro plates. There's tons more to choose from- we're just creatures of habit.

The ONLY meal we enjoyed while in San Antonio.

Great food, served in a timely fashion. Worth the trip! Servers were very helpful. Ask questions before you order, just in case. Enjoy.

Dinner out!

By Brave H |

The reason for this poor review is because of the poor customer service we received tonight after we got so disappointed about the Pasha restaurant. Me and my family always eat out especially in Mediterranean restaurant Pasha because we love the Mediterranean food. I always appreciate a good service but can’t see mistreating customers and disrespect the value of a customer. We stopped by Pasha tonight to have dinner before we get home as my wife and I love Persian food. First a waitress whose name was Fatima if I was not wrong came to take our order but because we had just arrived and needed few minutes to think what we want to order we asked her respectfully to give us few minutes to check the menu. I asked the waitress Fatima about the olive oil and zaatar ingredients because her name was Persian and I thought she may knew what’s the spices used in Zaatar. Then we started looking at menu as she left us. we were waiting for almost 45 minutes so she comes and take our order as we were watching her walking around and serving all other customers even the ones just enter the restaurant but us. It gives me a disrespectful taste in front of my family and finally I called another waitress to ask her taking our order instead of the first one who left us waiting for almost 45 minutes and complain about the waiting time. She said the first waitress Fatima got so busy and forget about us while she was passing us multiple times but ignored us while she was going to anyone else’s table and ask them if they need anything. After a long waiting time the second waitress brought us our orders which was awful because the food was cold first of all. The koobideh kabab seems fall from skews and burnt both ends. Tomatoes were not baked at all rices taste stale and so messy and in one word it was one of my worst experiences in all restaurants I have been. I never complain or write a review for a poor customer service but this one was one of the worst because if I am supposed to tip a service I receive then I expect a good customer service and food quality and not something like this….!

Great food, great service

By naenae18 |

The server was very attentive and brought us everything we asked for. The food tasted great. I like how management is also helping out as needed.

AWFUL

By genevieve g |

there was hair in my food, the service there was horrible (i’m not coming back again) the drinks had 2 ice cubes in it and they spit in my food (i saw).

Take out

By skgcdl |

The food was not the quality of eating in My food was cold & I was less than 5 min from restaurant Portions are large & shareable Friendly staff quick service

Excellent

By Zora S |

Lunch- excellent selection, food and service. Very busy at lunch and prices are reasonable. Naan is perfect and endless!

Great food, but very loud

By mama4llama |

We love this restaurant, during off hours. But if you want to be heard across the table, it's just to loud to talk. I wish they would find a way to break up the sound...it's the same problem with 2 of their 3 places. The food is great, the teapot is never ending...so go during off hours

Why is this rated well?!?

By smith309 |

I have no idea why this place is rated so well... this is some of the worst food we have ever had... the hummus wasn’t real hummus... it was like cottage cheese... we asked the server about it, and they told us that was their specialty and that what we got was indeed hummus.... we sent it back.... Next, we ordered falafel.... super dry with no flavor... Greek salad had no flavor drenched in dressing.... only good thing was the bread... we love Mediterranean food... but this was not that...

Quick delicious lunch

By enya428 |

Looking for a quick lunch near the medical center, we stopped here. Despite arriving at the peak of lunch hour, we were seated immediately. Spiced olive oil with fresh naan was presented to us, and was delicious. The falafel wrap and gyro were both great. Cheaper places could probably be found, but this was a good value. I would definitely return.

Prices are Wonderful ; And The Food Also

By RandyMartin |

We had a group of four people . I ordered the fish. the other three people ordered the combination plate of lamb and beef called gyro. We had 2 orders of hummus as an appetizer. And the restaurant serves a very large flour bread that is the same as a tortilla.. Except I have never seen a flour tortilla this big. This soft flour tortilla was used to eat the hummus. And the restaurant continues to bring these huge tortillas to the table if the customers want more. And these tortillas are free. The food was wonderful. I will definitely go back. And the prices are unbelievably low. Many items are less than $10.00

Delicious Mediterranean Food!

By Pete07046 |

I was looking for a quick dinner and found this restaurant on TripAdvisor. I ordered the frenched lamb chops and it was wonderful. Their flat bread naan is the best I've ever had. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice casual place to have lunch or dinner.

"Bad Taste of Shawarma"

By Ash_yummy |

We have ordered a Chicken Shawarma in this restaurant which was a to go and they just gave separate boxes for each of the stuff they add in it and then a plain bread separately and everything tasted so bad and have never visited it ever since...They should have arranged everything like how Shawarma is served but failed to do so... It was an awful taste of what they packed...

Great meal

By Richard B |

It's been a long time since I have eaten here. It was a routine spot for me while working here years back. The feta cheese is excellent. I can't stop eating the naan and the lamb kebobs are great.

Mmmmm!

By Susan M |

I was very pleased with the food and attentive service. The price was not bad either. Gyro plate and cranberry rice were delicious and drink was always full. Complimentary bread was hot, fresh, and kept on the table. Overall the best $12 dollar lunch I've had in a while.

Love this place

By Sable W |

This restaurant is a great place to go and have a quick lunch. I bring my teams here for lunch as often as I can! The food is great and the service is pretty quick. On my last visit, the owner/manager brought by a small turtle cheesecake dessert for the table and it was delicious!

Good food, good service

By LVSquared |

If you're looking for a solid experience, you'll get it here at Pasha. We enjoyed our naan, the Pasha B stew, fried falafel and the build your own bowl. The only deduction made is the awkward spacing of the restaurant, it was hard to get our server's attention, park and the chicken was a tad bit dry. We would ask for more sauce next time. The desserts looked amazing, we'll go back soon to try one out.

Always a delightful experience

By John J |

I preface my reviews with my food snob creds: Graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, lived in Europe for eight years, Asia for one and the Middle East one and the Horn of Africa for several months. Pasha has a light, open casbah-like venue. The wait staff was sharply dressed, polite and attentive. The was timely, authentic and delicious. The greatest opener is their naan, a warm, pizza-sized, communal flat bread for the table to break, share and dip in herbed olive oil. Tonight was the gyro plate, though often I order the lamb shank. Always tender, juicy and spices just right. An additional bonus is Café Baklövah a Middle Eastern Pastry Shop is right behind Pasha. They supply Pasha with an assortment of their desserts. If you’re on a timeline, have your dessert at Pasha, but if you have the time, you can conclude a wonderful evening right behind Pasha, at Café Baklövah. Bottom line, I always come back.

Excellent!

By gina93 |

This was our first meal in San Antonio and it was excellent. We had 2 huge servings of Naan and olive oil. The falafel wrap was excellent. The rest of my family enjoyed the gyro lunch. Service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent

By JJBlondie |

Everything about this place was excellent. Our server was very friendly and helpful. They started us with a big piece of naan and some good Olive oil with herbs. We shared some hummus. For dinner I had the gyro platter. The gyro meat was very good. The Greek salad was locking a little bit in toppings. I got additional hummus which was nice but I didn't really need. One colleague had the gyro sandwich and he liked it very much. Another colleague had some kababs with rice that he liked. And my 3rd colleague had lamb steaks that she said we're very good. Definitely some place I will come back to.

Excellent Food

By Westernmasstraveler |

We were in San Antonio for 6 days and staying in the Colonnade area. For dinner, we came to Pasha's one night. loved the food so much, that we came back twice more. My wife and I tried the lamb one day, the kebabs the next day. All are good. The warm bread with the amazing olive oil with cheese and spices is the first to greet you, before you even order your food. Service is good as well. A true treasure of San Antonio. Eat here instead of the high priced places in Riverwalk.

Dinner

By Leslie M |

Absolutely love this place! There is pretty much something for everyone. Lots of food. More than 1 person can eat.I would recommend to everyone!

Great food and service

By Keith |

First they bring a huge piece of naan and some good Olive oil with herbs. Its almost a meal. I just started going here and am hooked on the chicken kabob with cranberry rice. I go to the location on 1604 and Blanco Rd. and Ricardo has been my server 2 out of 3 times and his service is top notch. PS The portion size is HUGE.

Not The Same - Will Not Go Back

By maxwell1323 |

Used to be one of our favorite places for lunch. Would split a shawarma platter and a side of Baba Ganouj. This time we asked if there was a sharing charge if we only ordered one dish and were told no extra charge. The server had them divide up the dish so there was a $2 'SPLIT' charge. Now you do get a little more that way but we did ask before we ordered and should have been told. Also the platter now comes with lots of pickled red cabbage on top which is not listed on the menu. We should have sent it back. Instead had to pick it off. Even the meat wasn't as good. They are cutting corners. Had to wait awhile for fresh bread. I even talked to the manager and all he offered to do was remake the salad but it was too late as we were almost finished. They don't care about customer loyalty or service. Oh well, will cross it of our list.

Solid food

By Jonathan S |

We have eaten at Pashas numerous times over the years and have not left disappointed. Service is friendly and efficient. Quality is always constant using fresh ingredients and you never leave hungry. The chicken shwarma and gyros plates are winners and the accompany freshly made bread with olive oil is delicious. I prefer the Wurzbach location which is quieter and more atmospheric than the Vineyard location.

Quick Lunch

By KMartSA |

Love the Feta/Tomato salad and the Chicken Seesh Tawook. Rosewater tea is special. Never leave enough room for dessert.

Great food!!!

By Nomadic_Noodles |

I usually hit this place when I'm in town looking to get my fix of middle eastern food. I had a very nice meal consisting of Kashke Bademjan and lamb chops over rice with lima beans and roasted vegetables.

Great Mediterranean Grill

By condorchristi |

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch on our recent weekday visit. We got there around 12:30 or so and were able to get a seat. It was a good thing too because the place quickly became packed. They brought us some naan with olive oil, spices, and feta cheeses. This could have been the highlight of the meal had the rest of the meal not been so great. My companion opted for a kabob and lentil rice which she reported as being some of the best she had ever had. My Gyro was very good too. The lamb was a bit dry to be honest and the biz rice that came with it was nothing special. The appetizer Sambocha (sp?) had ground beef and potatoes fried to a crisp but the inside was quite soft and delicious. The dipping sauce that they provide with the appetizer was incredibly hot. The restaurant was undergoing some construction at the time and it was a bit annoying that they were running power tools (well removed from the dining area) and the sound was intrusive. The service was competent. A great visit and it is definitely on our list for a return.

Gyros tonight

By Mary B |

The gyros are good. The salad was a little bitter. Very nice restaurant. The baklava is terrific. Free refills on my tea.

Delicious Mediterranean

By Haley K |

Absolutely wonderful food. The warm bread (either naan or pita, im not sure which) was fantastic. They brought it out with fresh oil and spices, and we also go hummus too. Delish. My sister had a Pasha salad (essentially a Greek salad without the olives) it was huge and so delicious. I had the veggie plate, also very good. Reasonably priced, paid what we expected to for two ($33 including tax, without tip)

Naan bread and dipping oil is phenomenal!

By Wendy J |

I was recommended this restaurant by a coworker and it did NOT disappoint!! The atmosphere is simple, the staff friendly and the food delicious. We are not into glitz and glam just good food and friendly service and this delivered on both. We will be putting this place on the return list!!

A delightful Mediterranean, Greek experience

By GunnerAZ |

A friend and I had a great meal this past week. From the atmosphere, friendly staff and marvelous plentiful food it was a marvelous evening. My Lamb Shank stew was great as were my friends lamb skewers. Have a great meal and a fun time.

Tasty shwarma, very fresh!

By tdrummond69 |

We favor a middle eastern restaurant back home and we always look for one on vacation. This one was very pleasent and fresh. We had fresh bread, oil and herbs. The shwarma had great flavor, it was very fresh, with just the right amount of hummus and salad to compliment it. If you like this type of food I recommend it.

Good food

By Shacheb75 |

My husband and I love this Mediterranean chain of restaurants. Almost every time we are in San Antonio, this is where we eat. They have a variety of dishes and also vegetarian options. The fresh bread is to die for. So good. The staff is usually efficient and friendly. Also, there are several locations, so we can always conveniently find one. We will definitely continue eating here.

Authentic Taste of the Mediterranean

By Mark W |

Large menu, large portions, friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. Mediterranean market and bakery in the shopping area behind the restaurant. Place is good for families, groups, and parties, but is rather loud.

lamb Shank

By Marrium Sohail |

Overburnt food ans dishonest owner

By ysiNovi_Mi |

We went for lunch When we asked the owner what's good, he told us that everything is good, and if we do not like it, we do not have to pay for it. When our food arrived, it was over-burnt. I decided to eat mine, but my wife was not able to eat hers. The owner replaced it with the salad (which was good), but we were charged for the full price of my wife's over-burnt entree. moreover, they do not give you an itemized bill. They give you a handheld device with the total only, and after you pay, you can get a printed check.

Money

By Karen Z |

Great food, great service. But… why does this restaurant feel that they are entitled to keep the change (coin) from paying a bill in cash. I am not talking about a couple of cents. My change was over half a dollar and they thought that it was theirs, not mine. I don’t appreciate that. Money is money. If they do this with every cash paying customer, imagine how much more money they make by the end of the day. Maybe some people could care less about change, but when you are a person who collects change, it adds up really fast. In no time, you have several hundred dollars to take to the bank.

Good

By enya428 |

Having been to multiple locations, Pasha is a go -to for us! Fair pricing, good service, and delicious food. The warm naan bread is such a treat! We devour it! Yum-Yum!

Drove two hours to an old favorite and was disappointed

By Richard B |

I would visit here at least once a month for about 4 years. It has been a while so went in , I decided to make the trip. I ordered tahdig and it never arrived, asked for sumac and it never arrived. My water glass was empty my server never arrived. When it was obvious we were done eating, our server arrived and hoovered over me waiting for his tip. Next time I want Persian food, I'll keep going until I get to Houston.

A Pleasant Surprise: An Authentic Mediterranean Food Restaurant in San Antonio!

By John H |

Mediterranean style food restaurants have become increasingly popular in the culinary market, but not many of these new sites measure up to the freshness, flavors, & textures of what has become identified starting in 1950 as "Mediterranean Cuisine" as a reference in "A Book of Mediterranean Food," by Elizabeth David. Mediterranean food refers generally to the cuisine culture of the geographical area surrounding the Mediterranean Sea, much of which also follows the distribution of the olive tree. Olive oil is one of the primary staples of this food category, which usually includes flat bread, vegetables (flavored with olive oil & spices), fruit, lamb, fish, & beef. We all know that not all eating sites are of equal quality, & my experience has been a roller-coaster ride from low-to-high quality in this category of food: some of my worst experience & some of my best! The Pasha in San Antonio is fortunately one of my very best experiences in the sample of Mediterranean culinary offerings: olive oil & a huge serving of delicious flat bread @ the center of presentation, followed by grilled cauliflower, & combined with eggplant dip. A taste delight! Then, our entree menu items included a lamb kabob plate, perfectly seasoned with large chunks of tender lamb, a huge well-flavored gyro beef wrap that was stuffed with outstanding vegetables, & a fantastic Greek salad with generous levels of feta cheese, & dark olives. The service is characteristic of a family-owned & operated site: attentive, responsive to individual requests, & absolutely cordial. This restaurant is a huge high on the roller-coaster ride of Mediterranean sites & recommended without reservation for quality & taste of food along with professional service. This is another one of those San Antonio attractions that you would not expect to find in a town that grew up around the Texas legend of the Alamo & a command-central military installation: "Fort Sam." Don't miss it for a great meal.

Goood

By MichaelBernst2 |

Second visit. This time dinner. Ordered chicken shawarma platter. Chicken is flavorful and moist. Seasoned well but not GREAT. The hummus was best. Loved it. The Greek salad offers the worst salad dressing ever for so so Greek salad. Tastes like Wishbone Italian dressing. Very disappointing. The servers and greeters very warm and friendly. The bread they bring is warm, fresh and so delicious. Wish the had beer/wine. Enjoy. Good but not best.

Excellent Food that is always AUTHENTIC.

By Michael E |

The food this visit was exceptional. The one problem we encountered was an incorrect order for the food we wanted to have. We took a friend to eat at the restaurant, and we ordered the Gyro Wrap dinner for all three of us. When the dinner arrived, the wrong dish was delivered. We were pressed for time, so we went ahead and accepted the dinners we really did not order. Instead of the Gyro wrap, we all received the Gyro dinner. I told the waitress of the problem when we were about to leave and she apologized for the problem. I feel the problem was caused by inexperience on the waitress's part. I will still return to this restaurant due to the magnificent menu and the authenticity of the menu items.

Loved the food!

By Ports_availing |

Ate here for a late lunch and the food tasted fresh and flavorful! Had the Greek salad which had a very nice dressing and plenty of feta. The naan is fresh and nonstop. I loved the rosewater iced tea. Highly recommend for your Mediterranean meal.

Wonderful Sunday Lunch with Friends

By Rosalind P |

I have always found Mediterranean grills to be somewhat overpriced and underwhelming so I was really surprised when I found that Pasha is different. The menu is nicely varied but not too busy and the prices are fair. The food is excellent (I had the chicken shwarma wrap) - being a group of friends, we shared from each other's plates and honestly, everything that I tasted was really good. The portions are quite large so, depending on your normal eating habits, a couple may even want to share a dish or at least consider asking for a take-away box before you eat too much :) The atmosphere is cozy and friendly but with plenty of room. The staff are very friendly but not in your face. While we were waiting to be seated while waiting for our friends one of the staff noticed me looking at the baklavas that were boxed and ready for sale - she brought one to us to share while waiting - how thoughtful! a baklava was also cut into small pieces and served with our bill instead of the usual tired mints. Loved the whole experience and will definitely be back again.

Great food. Big crowd during lunch

By O3165EFtomp |

Call ahead or go there around 11:30 for lunch to avoid the big wait. This place can be very loud during lunch but their bread is worth the wait

Once Again, magnificent food and service!

By Michael E |

I have rated this restaurant before, but I am still amazed every time I go there by the exquisite food prepared by experienced Middle Eastern chefs. They make the best gyro I have ever eaten in the United States. When I eat there, I am immediately back in Istanbul eating a street gyro. The taste is phenomenal, and the servings are all generous. The other positive to a visit here is the level of customer service. No matter who you get for your server, you are always pleased with the professionalism displayed. The flatbread, right off the grill, is continually delivered to every table, always without having to ask for more. Add Baba Ganoush to your list of sides. DO NOT MISS THIS JEWEL OF San Antonio.

Very poor customer service

By Jacqueline J |

Just left the restaurant. Got there and the restaurant was mostly empty. 5 waitresses standing around talking, figured we’d get good service since it did not appear to be busy. Waitress came over to give bread, drink order. Did not come back to check on us, all five in a huddle talking and giggling. Had to ask for a water refill, had to call the waitress over to ask for everything in an empty restaurant. Will never go back there again. To many other options in San Antonio. Not a enjoyable experience, we left very disappointed!

Excellent Mediterranean Cuisine

By CLH8712 |

Broad selection of hummus, na’an bread, chicken, lamb, beef and vegetarian dishes. Great, attentive service. Tasty food, reasonably priced

Great lunch

By Sataviolet |

Food is excellent, service quick. Huge nan bread great. Had Pasha Bowl with chicken. Came with rice, salad and taziki sauce.

You need to try this place.

By Laura B |

Great bread with olive oil to start with. The fish was some of the best my husband has ever had. The gyro meat was the best we have had, also.

Good food good people

By KundaNomad |

Hunger took its toll on me and I decided to stop at Pasha's for a quick bite. Upon arriving you get a large piece of fresh flower bread (like a large tortilla or naan) with olive oil and za'atar for dipping. Perfect for quietting the stomach as the main meal arrives. I had a gyro shawarma. The portions are quite generous and the taste quite good for the pallet. I choose hummus for my side dish instead of salad to make it a more hearty meal. I walked out of the place full, happy and with a content stomach. The staff is courteous and attentive. If you like Mediterranean food Pashas is a great place.

Good enough for Greek Gods!

By Diedre C |

Loved this restaurant! Great homemade pita bread, good salad and a great Greek gyro. The service was very good and quick. Good value. Clean. This is one of the few restaurants I've been to in San Antonio that I will definitely go back to.

Lunch

By zhie2016 |

This is a lovely place for meals at any time of the day. A true Mediterranean restaurant, anything I have ordered from their menu has been on point. I sure love their naan bread. Always served warm. Turkish coffee is super, love their house ice tea with a touch of rose water, exceptional. The gyros, they are all good. I have been there over and over again and I love it

Mediocre food paired with terrible service

By MKH |

I'll start by saying my wife is from the Middle East, I've lived there, and we travel back to visit her family fairly frequently. I'm familiar with ME food from the bland gulf Arab versions to the more flavorful Lebanese and Turkish styles. I've eaten at ME/Med/Turk restaurants (and homes) around the world. Pasha's is lower-middle range at best, and coupled with poor service I'd never bother going back. The meal starts with a large piece of flat bread, olive oil, and za'atar. Good start, but the za'atar seemed to be made from cheap bulk dried herbs. A hint of the taste it should have, not the flavor explosion decent za'atar is. The bread is good, though. We ordered baba ganoush as an appetizer and it was brought up with no bread. I don't know if they expect you to just eat it with a spoon or what, but even after we asked for bread it didn't arrive until after our meals. So, we sat staring at our appetizer until we were half way done with entrees. I have literally *never* seen it served without bread anywhere. Gyro plates for entrees...again, no bread. The bread we asked for finally arrived, so we got to split one piece between three people and four plates. Our server, once we were done, asked if we wanted more bread. Seriously? For dessert, perhaps? Finally got a refill on drinks at the end, as well. The hummus is bland and thin. No detectable lemon or tahini flavor. Just chickpea and cheap olive oil. Prior to this, Qatari hummus was the most bland I've had, but Pasha's has taken that crown. CANNED hummus is better than this, and my wife's hummus would make you throw rocks at Pasha's. The gyro meat is average at best, I've had better at roadside stands and $4 a plate restaurants. If you've never had a decent gyro to compare it to, it'll probably be ok. Too bad you won't be able to try it with bread. In short, overpriced lower end of average fare for people who don't know better. Eat at a good Turkish or Lebanese restaurant and you'll never go back to Pasha.

Great food

By Shacheb75 |

My husband and I ate lunch ad Pasaha yesterday. The restaurant was very busy and bustling, even though we had missed the lunch crowd. The service was very good but our server was a "hoverer" and my husband didn't appreciate being interrupted every few minutes to be asked if everything was okay. I didn't really care but I do understand his point of annoyance. As soon as we sat down our server brought flat bread and olive oil. The bread was hot right out of the oven. I almost at the whole thing. It was sooooo good. I ordered the vegetarian plate - basmati rice, vegetable kebab, baba ganoush and humus. My husband had the chicken kebab plate - chicken kebab, basmati rice and some veggies. He loved his chicken and I loved my veggies and sides. It was all very tasty. The only thing that we didn't like was the rice because it was dry and there was no sauce or gravy to eat with it. They didn't bring any white sauce or anything to put on it. So both of us left most of our rice on the plate. Other than that the food was great. We decided we would go back but we will order something that has some kind of sauce/gravy to go with the rice. We will definitely return and try something else on the menu.

excellent cleanliness, freshness and service

By Helen |

the quality of food and beverages are high (in comparison with costs), other strength points are: cleanliness, freshness and responsibility of staff

Loved Pasha again, especially the moussaka!!!

By GoldenBlue3 |

Loved Pasha again today; the moussaka (eggplant with ground beef) was divine! The waitresses (yay Kaitlin!) were extremely friendly, helpful, and had great smiles. The naan bread was hot and filling. The hot, fresh vegetables (tomato, mushrooms, yellow peppers) were excellent. Per usual, I substituted hummus in for rice; the excellent upgrade costs a mere $0.50.)

Incredible food!

By donih |

While visiting San Antonio stopped here with a friend for lunch- it was amazing! The warm pita bread with z’tar seasoning and olive oil is beyond great! Warning- portions are huge and there hummus is some of the best I’ve had- creamy! Highly recommend this place especially if you’re vegetarian!

Don't pass this up!

By Bob K |

Fantastic! The lamb was to die for, tender, cook perfectly over open flame. The bread was incredible with the oil and spices. Service was excellent, friendly and very efficient.

Tasty Mediterranean Food!!

By edward h |

Some friends of our were visiting from Colorado and we visited Pasha's on Wurzbach road for lunch. The food was fantastic!! I had the Gyro Lunch plate piled high with very tasty gyro meat, Greek salad and humus. I prefer my gyros with the garlic sauce rather than the normal Tsatziki sauce and it was great. They start you off with bread fresh from the oven served with spices and olive oil for dipping. Delicious!! Another person in our party had the Beef Shawrma plate which he also said was delicious. We also had an order of Kibbeh which were great, though a little pricey. The table attendant was gracious and attentive. Absolutely no problems. All of our group had previously lived in the Middle East and we can testify that the food is authentic and tasty. My wife and family have been here several times and have never had a problem. It has a good variety of Middle Eastern and Greek foods. Give it a try!!

Amazing authentic food

By Daydream279683 |

We’ve been coming to Pashas on wurzbach since they opened! It’s just gotten better and better! The plates are generous, service is friendly fast and professional, the place is clean and spacious. If you’re a local you definitely should make this your spot at least once a week! If you’re just visiting SA this is a must do! Gormeh Sabzi stew is hands down my fave! Happy eating my friends!

When visiting our daughter and family, we always try to eat at Pashas at least once. The food is delicious and the service attentive. This restaurant is always busy, but the wait is minimal.

First visit to Pasha

The food was delicious....when I visit San Antonio again Pasha will be on our list. The service was good and our food was delivered in a timely fashion...

Mediterranean to Die For!

By Shining_Star73 |

Wow! My brother-in-law took us to the one on Wurzbach for dinner. It was around four thirty and they were already getting busy. It was a little noisey due to the fact that there are no drapes or other soft items to help soak up some of the noise. The music added to the atmosphere. I ordered the build your own Pascha Bowl and chose the cranberry rice, shirazi, and gyro meat. It was a large serving. The rice was cooked to perfection and the flavors were divine. The cranberries and carmelized onion, along with the Mediterranean seasoning made it perfect. My taste buds were in heaven! The meat was tender and tasty. I took home enough for two more meals. My brother-in-law had the gyro plate and cleaned it up. He said it was wonderful. My sister is a vegetarian and ordered dolma, soup, and hummus. She also took home food for another meal. We all shared one piece of Baklava. It is my opinion that it was the best I've ever had. It was light, and melted in your mouth. It is my plan to return here every time I visit them. I believe it is the best Mediterranean I have ever enjoyed.

Great Dinner!

By Carlos F |

Had the chicken shawarma plate and was delicious. Chicken was grilled to perfection with lots of flavor. Basmati rice is extraordinaire. Love the fresh garlic mayo dressing. I also enjoyed the poppy and sesame seed naan that is a little char thus adding to the texture and flavor. Best of all, bring your own wine and they will open it for you and provide wine glasses. Service is excellent!

Welcoming, very good lunch menu!

By Jim H |

Our family lunch today - my first time here - featured the chicken shawarma plate and the chicken sheesh tawook. Service, quick and beyond courteous, so I agree with reviewers who commented on the very attentive staff even in busy, crowded lunch conditions. All starts with well prepared warm naan with good spicy olive oil dip. The rose tea is terrific. Menu options are extensive, and let us substitute for the standard hummus side. We chose veggies, since we're kind of paleo. My chicken sheesh tawook was cooked perfectly, considering how easy it is to over-grill chicken. Mediterranean salad was standard, very good with olives, interesting pickle slices, feta cheese and such. I chose the spinach side in lieu of hummus. It was very good, but as some have said, rather bland. So we asked for some house sauces that really spiced up this dish so enjoyably. My son's grilled veggie side looked great with peppers and shrooms. Did not try the shawarma that my companions ordered, but they enjoyed the preparation. Big servings of well prepared food reasonably priced and served tres sympa. Keep in mind when I arrived at 11:45 on this Wednesday the restaurant was filling up. There's parking enough but you have to look around when it's crowded. Which seems to be often because it's so popular. Definitely will return.

Vegetarian delight

By DoloresJacoby.Let’sTravel.98368 |

This is a busy restaurant with a great and diverse menu. I enjoy their vegetarian plates allowing one to choose a number of items. I can personally recommend the cauliflower, Greek salad and falafel. I don't think there could be an unsavory choice on the menu. We liked the banquet seating. Each table is graced with unlimited flatbread and olive oil to dip into.

Love this place!

By J3971UAdianeb |

I eat here all the time. The food is great and so is the atmosphere. The menu has lots to choose from. Be adventurous and try something new on each visit.

Mediterranean at its best

By Spidey102015 |

This is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants I have been to. Their complimentary flat bread is great. The Shawarma plate is very good and filling. The Greek moussaka is very delectable.

Amazing Foodie Find

By TexasTerriSa_Tx |

This was our first visit to Pasha Mediterranean Grill, and we will be back! Our entire experience was 100% positive. Our party of three was greeted upon entering, and seated quickly. Our wait person Stacy was outgoing, and took time to answer all of our questions about menu items we were not familiar with. Freshly made Nann bread with an herb infused oil is brought to each table, It’s easy to fill up on! The food was fresh, flavorful, Genourous servings. Family friendly atmosphere, very reasonable prices!

Best Mediterranean

By Anthony M |

Tasty and affordable Mediterranean food with a casual atmosphere, one of my favorite restaurants in SA

Great appetizers, good food

By TravelLover8098 |

The appetizers were absolutely delicious. You could probably order a few of these and be happy (and full). The actual food plates were mediocre, nothing special or worth coming back for. That said, the prices were extremely reasonably priced. The atmosphere was nice and wait staff was friendly. I would return for the flat bread and appetizers.

Delicious Mediterrenean Food

By gopij2016 |

Tried the Lamb Kabob and Chicken Shavarma, both were excellent, they bring out the naan which is delicious with the hummus and other condiments. Parking is a bit of a hassle but the food is worth the hassle. :)

Love this place!

By DrAnju Rahul |

We are regular customers here.Writing my second review because of the exceptional service by Ms.Karina.She made sure to ask and serve us to the needs.Kudos to the Pasha team for hiring her! My parents are here on vacation and they loved the place. We grew up in Dubai and find the cuisine exceptional similar and authentic! Shall be back for more! Special mention to their baklava bakery serving authentic Kanafeh!! Must try😍.

Always consistently great!

By Stacy G |

Pasha is our "go to" place. The food and service are always on point. Everything that my family has tried has been really good. The service is good and prices are reasonable for the portions.

Loved it

By Abe |

The restaurant is actually a blend of Persian, Greek, Mediterranean and Lebanese cuisine. They bring a hot lavash with olive oil and some herbs that are so delicious. Don't get yourself full on that. We ate in 2 different branches during our visit to San Antonio and we were happy both times. I made my own bowl and I always went with cranberry rice, which was so yummy!

Great food, Excellent prices

By JJJRS5 |

Located a block from the busiest intersection in San Antonio, Pasha is a standout in quality and value. You are immediately given a huge piece of pita bread with olive oil--and I mean GIVEN! No charge for as many pieces as you want, and they will let you have some "to go" if you wish. The moussaka is the best ever with an incredible bechamel sauce that borders on custard. Everything is made fresh and served within seconds of cooking. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. You can bring your own wine (!). There is a small "corking fee".

Lunch

By montoya19 |

Went here for lunch on our stay in SA,my husband and I love Mediterranean food and try different places everywhere we go. Our server very friendly and attentive he was from Turkey ( forgot his name) sorry, he was so nice. The food choices on the menu, so many to choose from, the all looked good. He brought over bread with zatar, oil and cheese on a plate as a complimentary starter. Yum. Anywhere else you go in other cities, you would need to order this. It was fresh and tasted amazing. Ended up getting tabouli salad, falafel and a build your own bowl with the cranberry rice, chicken tawook, cucumber salad and cucumber mint yogurt sauce. Everything was amazing and fresh . Not over salted it was perfect bringing out the flavors of the food. Ate at other restaurants in the SA area guess they love their salt here in this town, but this was perfect and flavorful. Loved it can't wait to come eat again when We are in town. Yum. Thank you

Good food and plenty of it

By Divascribe2 |

Pasha's has good Mediterranean dishes with generous portions. Their flatbread, which is complementary along with olive oil for dipping, is addictive. Good tabbouleh, hummus, gyro, you name it.

Enjoyed our meal

By JackiePies |

My family was in town for two days and always look for Persian when we travel. We loved our food at Pasha. Our server was nice and well informed on the menu/ food. We devoured the bread that they brought us, repeatedly getting more. Everyone thought it was delicious. I had a little tadig cake with gheymeh on it. A cute take on tadig I had not seen before, but I did enjoy. Because it was a personal sized rice cake like dish, it was more soggy from stew than crispy with rice, but I would absolutely get it again. Chicken kebab and poopy day were delicious and the baklava gelato was great. The sweet tea with rosewater was also yummy.

Tasty but VERY NOISY!!!

By Rubén Z |

You can buy no more tasty Mediterranean dishes than here. But- PREPARE FOR A NOISY MEAL! The gyros are fresh from the grill and the rotisserie area, the bread has just come from the oven and the olive oil and spices are authentic as can be. The fish and chicken dishes are all well prepared while the portions won't leave you hungry. But, did I mention NOISY!!! Go for it but I highly recommend you either turn off your hearing aids or go early or after the lunch crowd or dinner crowd come in. Why you ask? Because it is VERY NOISY!!!

Great food!

By Texas1964 |

Great food at reasonable prices! Very good service.Wonderful homemade pita bread. Skimpy on the sauces but will bring more on request.

Plentiful and Delicious

By Rebekajean |

We weren't expecting the fresh baked pita bread to be so big or so delicious so we ordered Baba Ganoush as a starter and when our order arrived, we were already near full. Hubby and I stopped for dinner as it was close to our hotel and we loved the atmosphere and friendly service. We both ordered the seafood platter which was huge, more than enough on one platter to serve us both. We enjoyed the spinach, the shrimp and the fish, done to perfection and tasty. It was a great meal for a reasonable price. We will stop here again when in the area.

Great food

By Jesse C |

This was the second time here and the food was still really good. The waiter was very terrible I can say that. He was bad enough for me to leave but my wife stopped me. But love the way the place looks and the atmosphere of the place. Pasha just needs to start over on there waiting staff. Other then that if you haven't been to this place try it. Your taste buds will love you for it!

Sad loss of quality.

By Matouk M |

It was one of my favorites. The food has dropped a lot of quality. The service is good and friendly. The Tabuli was a wonder and now it's bad. They don't have the same meat as before. It's a shame.

Pasha Express Alamo Ranch Falls Flat

By Carolinachica210 |

Didn’t have items listed as ingredients on menu. Prices not clearly defined on menu. Chicken was greasy. Extremely slow service and employees not friendly. Short staffed causing lack of basic sanitation and food handling procedures. The slow service and short staffed is an ongoing issue. But sometimes you overlook due to quality of food. Lately the quality isn’t even worth any type of wait.

Amazing food

By Eric O |

Warm greeting with excellent service from our waiter. He made sure he started with warm, fresh naan bread with olive oil and spices. He ensured our beverages were filled and never had to look for him. The food is fresh and extremely delicious. We dined there 2 days in a row and will return when we visit San Antonio again!

Great Value for Money

By Angeline W |

This restaurant has become an upscale venue with an extensive and varied menu, and excellent service. The portions are large, the dishes beautifully presented and authentic. My husband and I had Sunday lunch and the bill was under $30.00. We will return soon.

Fabulous Mediterranean food

By LindaPianoSC |

We were recently attending the Air Force basic training graduation and the drill sergeant recommended this place. The naan bread was hot and fresh- we ate soooo much we almost filled up on it! I had the cornish hen and the marinade was very tasty. Others had the gyros and tabouli and every dish was excellent. The place was packed for lunch but the service was fast and friendly. Definitely worth seeking out in San Antonio!

Cozy Place with Great Food

By Javier A |

Great food with great service make you feel right at home. Even though I'm not Mediterranean, I felt right at home thanks to the waiter and the entire serving staff. They were very friendly and helpful. The food is served in giant portions and is very delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you like Mediterranean food,. I really enjoyed the lamb, juicy and great tasting.

Very good

By YumGuru |

Although not a Persian restaurant they offer very good chelokabab. They call it royal kabab on their menu. Very good service. Overall very good experience.

Birthday celebration

By OJM653 |

What a wonderful meal. We had, like we always do, several different dishes; dolmas, babba ganoush, kibbe, falafel, hummus and a chicken dish. Everything was very tasty. The rose tea was great and the bread; hot and plentiful. On the house we got a type of orange cheesecake and their black tea. One word to describe our experience: fantastic!! Food and service. This is a place to repeat over and over again. Do not miss it!

Great Fresh kabobs and persian dishes

By Farzad P |

Fresh meat and vegetables. Great price and good portions. Try persian kabobs and try different rice styles. Boneless chicken kabab, lamb chop. Also vegetarian stuff great. Good and professional, yet friendly service. Home made naan

Wonderful food and service

By Agneswinery |

I had the lunch veggie plate w spinach and babajanuch and shiraz salad. My son had the chicken kabab. Both were delicious and the service was excellent!

Delicious as usual!!

By whenpigsfly70 |

Brought mom for lunch and everything was great! Love the Naan, the hot tea, the food and the service!

Sooo good!

By 7jr1 |

We went here with a group of colleagues while in town for business. It was very, very busy at lunchtime (parking was a major challenge). It didn’t take too long to get seated once we were inside though; maybe 15 minutes. The warm naan brought to the table was delightful; the mouthwatering smell of it was enough to cause us to dive in, and the taste kept us coming back. The good news is they keep it coming to the table until we told them to stop! The food was fresh and tasty. We had the gyro plate and it was outstanding. The beef shawarma a colleague had looked delectable. The hummus was alright, but not the best I’ve eaten. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated and comfortable. We left full and satisfied and I’ve been thinking of it ever since! Comfort food!

Excellent food & Service

By JimSwigart |

Excellent food, service and very reasonable prices. Side salads could be better by reducing amount of lettuce--it's overwhelming.

Great Food and Service

By MarkyMarkTX |

Came here today for the first time. Food and service were excellent! Great hummus and chicken. Will definitely come back!

Great value

By PlantPowered |

Pros: A lot of food for the price. Varied menu with a lot of options for people on all sorts of eating lifestyles. Food was yummy, and had depth of flavor not typical in all the chain restaurants. Service was impressive, especially considering the value part. Cons: The dining room is one large open area, which is great for most occasions, but may not be so private if you need that. Only suggestion would be to provide a kid area for kids to play off to the side, within view of parents, to make more family friendly.

Excellent middle east restaurant

By Benito G |

This is the place to go if you want to enjoy great middle eastern delights, with home style flavors.

Excellent food with great service

By Mandy |

It was very nice inside, pleasant waiter, great food! they gave us free bread and dips to start off with and all of it was really good. I got the gyro sandwich it was huge and great tasting. My 9 year old daughter even loved it. After the meal was over they give you a free dessert which was also great. I definitely recommend this place.

dinner with my daughter

Very nice change of pace in SA

By Coop64 |

We were looking for something other than the usual BBQ, Tex-Mex, Burgers.....etc. Our son said he had been driving by this restaurant, and had not yet tried it so we decided to try it. We were seated promptly, but it was quite a long time before our drink order was taken. After that however, the service was very good. Our food was very good, we took turns sharing off of each others plates. The price for the quality and quantity of food was very reasonable. On our next trip to San Antonio, we will most likely visit Pasha again.

I didn't want to leave!

By Kimberly A |

This was my first true experience with Mediterranean food and I'm SO glad I listened to my friend! We've been several times now & the food never disappoints. I love the Baba Ganouj and naan bread. Chicken Schwarma is my absolute favorite but I've never had anything bad here!

Really great

By Jwvv |

I did not go here wanting Mediterranean food - just not in the mood for it. I was surprised at how good it was- everything was fresh and tasty. We will be back soon.

Delicious & fresh

By Lisa J |

Had a wonderful time here with great food and kind staff. The food was very tasty and everything I expected from a Mediterranean restaurant. They bring naan bread on the table as a starter, which is warm and straight from the oven. The prices were excellent and very good for the quality! Our food tasted fresh and not Sysco! I highly recommend coming here and I would definitely return.

Prices went up and service went down...

By eva2691 |

We have always liked this place, and we were delighted today to see the improved decor, but did not anticipate the new menu with higher prices. $3.99 for hot tea? $2.99 for soda? Nearly every sandwich and salad was about the same price as the entrees, and while the serving size of the gyro plate was generous, the service was inconsistent and we had to ask for the same thing over and over before we got it. The naan is delicious but we'll think twice before making a special trip across town for this again.

No Stews

By Reza Marand |

I love me a good persian stew.....but Pasha has lost its touch with these dishes......last time I had a piece of aluminum foil on my eggplant dish......and once dish was fixed and brought back......eggplant was like plastic, very chewy......although they dropped the charge......it ruined my evening with my friends......fix ur stews or stop serving them

Great Persian Foods

By 608suchadam |

This is our go to food place when we want Persian Food. It has been great every time. They have three places, two near us, but this was the first place opened and when we get the chance we come back here. It is across town and across town takes us sometimes 45 minuets. But it's worth it. The food is simple but the flavor is wonderful. My husband is stuck on Koobedeh Kabob...and I try different plates each time. I love the Chicken Kabob and the fish is great too.

Decor reminds me of jail

By Chuck B |

Came for lunch first visit with friends. We all ordered a different lunch. You order like a cafeteria standing in line. The sandwichs are large that's there best feature. They're ok. Pricey especially given you are sitting in what looks like a jail dinning hall. All very hard and all stainless cold as hell. Food is average and service is missing but you pay like it was better food and lots of service.

Spectacular baba ghanoush and flatbread

By Matt W |

The beef and lamb kebabs were delicious! Baba ghanoush among the best we've had anywhere. Our server was very kind and gracious. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. Two reasons it was not 5-star: took about 25 minutes or more to get our main dishes delivered after ordering; and when I tried to call ahead to check for a wait, I was on hold for over seven minutes. We actually arrived at the restaurant before the host came back on the phone. Ambiance in general was pretty decent for a mid-scale casual restaurant.

Very Good

By Renee H |

I joined my sister for her lunch hour at Pasha. We both had Greek sandwiches, hers was lamb, mine was chicken, and both were quite tasty. We both overindulged in the hot naan bread served when we sat down, yet we still made room to split a piece of chocolate mousse cake for dessert, and it was yummy. No major complaints about the food. The prices, though - wow. For what appeared to be a small lunch restaurant in a strip center, I found my (just my portion) $18+ bill excessive. When looking it over, I discovered that I was charged $3.99 for iced tea and $1 for the fries that came with my sandwich, though that cost wasn't mentioned when fries were offered by our server; she made it seem like we had a choice of sides. And I have never been anywhere other than specialty coffee/tea bars that had the nerve to charge that much for tea. I keep a pitcher of fresh brewed tea in my fridge at all times, and I know that an entire box of family sized tea bags costs less than $2. I can make 12 gallons of tea with that box. That's quite a profit they're making on those drinks. Greedy, in my opinion. I might go again, but I won't get the fries, and I'll have water. Just not into paying that much at what amounts to a sandwich shop for lunch. Now, for a nice lunch at a good Italian or Mexican food restaurant, with a pile of pasta or big plate of enchiladas, absolutely. For a gyro, tea, and a few bites of cake? Nah.

great food, reasonably priced

By Bp-USA |

San Antonio has some great Mediterranean restaurants in this area. Pasha' food was great. the restaurant is spacious, the serivce was godd. The place is unpretencious, but their lamb dishes especially, and the bread and zataar are excellent

Still One of Our Go-To Dining Places

By mattron780 |

Pasha is still cranking out delicious Turkish/Greek fare - had the Koobideh Kabob (ground beef cooked on a kabob tool), while my wife had the Chicken Sheesh Tawook (grilled chicken breast strips), both very good. Highlight of the meal is always the fresh flat bread they bring you when you sit down - dipped in the house olive oil/spice/feta cheese mix, truly outstanding. As usual, we had leftovers to take home and enjoy later. While the food has maintained it's high level of goodness, I will note that the service has come down a notch in the last year or so...we had to get up from the table and chase down our waiter to ask for a drink refill, as we hadn't seen him since he took our order. In addition, an incorrect item was initially brought to the table, but error was noted by wait staff (not our waiter) and correct item was brought over by manager. Overall, still recommended.

First time here and I love this place!

By Mary B |

Best gyros in town, maybe best in Texas! This is a gem. The staff are kind. The food is terrific! They are a BYOB for beer, wine, or alcohol. The atmosphere is sleek. The naan is divine!

Great food, great service, reasonable prices — what more can you ask

By Peter P |

I’m slow to give an excellent rating because there are so few places that really deserve them. Pasha Grill / Wurzbach Rd is one of those! This was our first visit — out of towers looking for a good alternative to same-oh, same-oh dining. We were greeted quickly, with a smile by the host. Our table was nicely separated from the moderate number of other diners — none of that cram-all-the-diners together in a big room nonsense here. Our waiter was very helpful, friendly but not obtrusive. The menu includes vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. I saw so many options that it was a hard choice and we both surprised ourselves by ordering the Greek Moussaka! While there were many wonderful choices the eggplant in the moussaka called my name and WoW - was I delighted with my choice. Without a doubt the best Moussaka I ever had! We started off with the automatic Naan and olive oil, and ordered a side tabbouleh to share. Every item was carefully made and without flaw. They have a small dessert menu, but you’re better off going across the lot to the bakery/sweet shop where you can pig out to your heart’s desire on small portions, or try one of the larger dessert portions for a satiating end to your meal. Portions are large, prices are extremely fair for what you get, and I can’t find anything to flaw about this place.

OMG

By Sylvia Z |

Hands down the food is awesome. I tried the kabob and shawarma plate and they were very good. My 10 year old finished off her plate and couldn’t get enough of the fresh hot bread that they give you with olive oil and Zatar. They were really busy but the service was never lacking. Parking could be better. You need patience to find a spot.

Food always good.

By Mary D |

I usually go here for lunch. Went for dinner this time. Food good but the place needs some acoustic tweaks. It is so loud when crowded! Hard to carry on a conversation.

love this place

By Vijay R |

we love this place, fresh Mediterranean food, fresh hot bread with olive oil & herb dip, I love the gyros and chicken shisk tawook plate, never get tired of eating here

Always nice to sit down at this Pasha location!

By P1520TPandrewk |

The service is fast and efficient! The food is spot on and they are willing to meet your every need! This location is the best in my book, you can try one of the other two locations!! This one rocks! Go here and try the food!

Delicious meal

By SMartinchalk |

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. We were provided with hot, yummy bread with olive oil and spices for dipping when we arrived and more as we devoured each one.

The Food was One of the Best I've Been To!

By Don Hummer Jr |

I came here in the first month in working in San Antonio and wow what a restaurant! The inside itself is a big open space with lots of tables so nothing too fancy. But once the food comes out it's quite tasty. We started with a Pasha Spicy Naan (and ended up getting two... it was THAT good!). I then had the Gyro Platter which also was incredible. The food came out at a good pace and the waiter was great. I plan to go back next week again for dinner -- and I'm a guy who likes new restaurants and always up for a new restaurant. So that says a lot! The price was also reasonable and give it two thumbs up. But if you go, you MUST get the Naan!

Pita was the best!

By Ravali K |

Of all the things I tried, I loved the pita! It was freshly made, soft and fluffy. Chicken shawarma was juicy, portion size was generous. For me, it was good for 2 meals. This place did not disappoint!

Wonderful dining experience!

By djfluth |

Immediately greeted at the door, and seated at a quiet table. Our waiter, Muhammad, helped make this dining experience perfect by making great suggestions. We ordered many things, and shared our food. For years, we have eaten here on Thanksgiving evening, when few restaurants are open. A fun evening for our children, we are delighted by food that is different, but welcoming, in a gracious environment.

Good & authentic

By JYPA |

The restaurant is simple & low key, the service very good, the food is authentic & good & kitchen to table service is very quick. The fried cauliflower florets & grilled mushrooms were very good, the babaghanoush was seasoned just perfectly, my husband's trio platter of 3 types of shawarma was very good as was the hummus. It is quite expensive.

Seeing San Antonio

By lolo997 |

Excellent service and food. Carlo was our server and he did a wonderful job explaining the menu and offering suggestions.

The most delicious Meditteranean food ever.

By Mary R |

This was my first visit and it won't be my last. The food was delicious. We had four different entrees and they were all beyond what I can put into words. Big portions, excellent service, promt and the ambiance is wonderful. I will be eating here every time I visit San Antonio.

Fast efficient service during busy lunch hour and yummy food

By JN B |

I came here with co-workers for a team lunch outing. The server was friendly, fast and efficient. I ordered the Koobideh Kabob and it was delicious. One thing I was surprised was that the rice was served with the butter separate. I guess this is a good thing as I have the option of determining how much butter I want to put on my rice. I've never been to any Mediterranean restaurant where I had to do that. It is not a criticism. It is different and a first time for me. Overall, the food is good and priced reasonably. The give you lots of Mediterranean flat bread which was hot and absolutely yummy.

So much GOOD food!

By takrafty |

First time experience, and it was a good one. LOVED the big, hot fluffy nan bread they brought to the table along with olive oil and spices. I could have made that my meal. My daughter and I split a plate - $15.99 chicken, beef, gyro meat, salad with feta, hummus. tahini, tzatziki. Side order of amazing tabbouleh was $5.99. We got a second naan to wrap the goodies in and took home leftovers! Wonderful waitstaff, wonderful food. Good menu options. Reasonably priced! Lots of seating - saw several large groups here.

Bland experience

By Ricardo H |

My wife and a frien ate there, finally. We heard rave reviews but my experience was not great. The service was good waiter polite and food arrived quickly. I had muffelata, sorry for spelling, it was a wrap with a side of potatoes. My wife had the chicken with side of humus and a salad. Overall our food was bland. I never season my food but honestly had to season it twice.my wife’s chicken plate, on the menu it read chicken breast, but it was dark meet, I’d say about 40% was dark meat. The problem is she only eats chicken breast. I won’t be going there again.

Great service, wonderful people to the handicap

By poucha25 |

Hi my mom is handicap and these servers went out of their way to help her and complete her order. This place have the best food here we travel all the way from Galveston County to come eat food here this is the best place so far for us , we enjoy it and going back tomorrow for more.

Amazing Service

By Russell |

The food was excellent and the service was superb! Our waitress really helped with the menu and I look forward to another visit.

Will Go Back

By bjc71701 |

My family and I are from Georgia and had stopped here while visiting my nephew in the Air Force. My wife was craving lamb and this looked like a good place to try. We all really enjoyed our meal! I appreciated the (na’an?) bread that they brought with oil and herbs/spices. My wife loved her lamb and the kakobs that I had were delicious. If we ever get to go back to San Antonio, we will definitely go there again!

Good service and decent Mediterranean food

By Ricardo G |

Pasha's is a mid range restaurant with fairly good service. The meal starts off with a large piece of flat bread and olive oil. The wife and I had Gyro plates for entrees and the meat was average at best. I have had better gyros at the mall food courts in Madrid, Spain, for a lot less money. If you have never tasted a decent gyro to compare, you will probably like the food at the Pasha Mediterranean Grill. It's not bad for Mediterranean food in San Antonio, Texas.

Good grub!!!

By Nomadic_Noodles |

Stopped by pashas the other day for lunch... As usual we started the meal with some great bademjam and the usual dip. I've been trilled about dolmas for a while, don't get me wrong I've tried dolmas around my travels but I found the ones at pashas to be awesome.. we both had a great seafood plate and some awesome food to try... after all, the food was magnificent and we were happy with our meal!!!!

Tasty and Worth the Price

By Rammgm |

I took my wife to Pasha's the other day as she has never had mediterranean food. Right off the bat, they did well. They sat us quickly and got out drinks with enough time to read through the menu. Before they took out order, they brought out the naan. The table also had a wonderfully spiced olive oil mixture. If it were possible, water with naan and the mixture could sustain me for weeks. We both ordered the beef shwarma. The beef was flavorful and tender. It was not crispy or overcooked. They serve their food with basmati rice which, as everyone knows, has a full flavor on its own. There is also a fresh salad mix with feta cheese. The list of food on here has a sharp taste which is something I enjoy. There is also a lot of it. I mean, a lot. Add the naan in with it and there is no need to eat until the next day. Do not run from the prices as it is worth every penny. I ordered the baklava but did not like it as much as the main dinner. It was a little sweet, but the film dough was see-through. The amount of nuts and ingredients made it a good ending to the food. They did an amazing job. Just because I did not prefer it does not mean it wasn't good.

Best Mediterranean food in Texas!

Very fresh and delicious Mediterranean food. The kabobs are amazing and all of the sides are really good. Shawarma was excellent as well. Best Mediterranean I’ve had in Texas.

Yummy Mediterranean Choices

Generally visit for lunch whenever in San Antonio, good vegetarian and meat eating choices.t is not always easy to find a restaurant that caters to both the meat lovers & vegetarians in our family, but Pasha fills the bill. The freshly made naan bread that arrives when you are seated could easily fill you up, but don't over do it.

Great food, even with takeout.

The family, all six of us, loves the flavors, options and healthy choices on the Pasha menu. Sheesh Tawook and Naan are a regular order, for most of us. This time, it was a request to pick it up and bring it home. OMG, it was still wonderful, even after a 20 minute ride home in the truck. Packed well, hot with hot, cold with cold, condiments and fluids in individual order sized containers. It was a great! Great service, food and concern for even a takeout customer!

Deliciousness!!!!

Our experience was phenomenal!!! We were greeted very warmly and our waiter was very kind, professional and happy to be of service. Before we placed our order, a giant naan bread with a generous dip made of quality extra virgin olive oil, feta cheese and delicious Mediterranean spices was brought complimentary. Our entree was also a very generous portion and when we return again, We'll know what to expect. I seriously wish I had taken a pic of the ginormous naan bread!!! My pleasure to share Pashas !!!

Love it

We’ve eaten at the other Pasha location but this was our first time here. We got there right when they opened. We were seated right away and given naan bread and dipping oil with herbs and feta. The food was delicious and by the time we left the place was packed.

Excellent choice

I was looking for something outside the norm and this place met my requirements. The pita bread was enormous, if a bit reminiscent of pizza dough with the doughy edges. The chicken schwarma bowl was delicious as well. The only thing missing was dessert!

Wonderful

Food and service is great....this place needs some acoustical remodel work. Its loud and very difficult to enjoy a conversation.

Great Food and Service

By Shirazi35 |

I took seven of my students there while we were in San Antonio for a conference. The ambience was very nice and friendly, service was great and food and Persian Tafatoon Bread were beyond imagination. Pasha’s menu is a perfect representation of the Persian food, which gives a chance to anyone with any dietary restriction to find something great and delicious! It should be noted any item from the menu seems to be very beautiful and tasty. Best of all is the price, which is very cheap compare to any other major Persian Restuarants in the US! Good there and eat well.

Great food but BYOB

By Susan S |

First time here staying at a hotel across the road. The food was very good and reasonably priced, however they do not serve alcohol but you are encouraged to bring your own if you choose. Only negative was that the place is very noisy so not good for a quiet meal or date night.

OMG, how is it I have overlooked eating here

By Thomas S |

I loved it. The food was amazing and the wait staff was as near excellent as I have ever had. Plenty of table/seats for large customer volume and can handle large groups as well. They do offer Police/EMS/Military discount, Thank You Pasha! $40 for a family of three. Between the bread and large portions, it is hard to leave this place still hungry and we had plenty to carry out in takeout containers.

It has been a few years since we were last in this establishment; no particular reason why we have avoided it...just a lot of dining options closer to where we live. If you are easily chilled, bring a sweater. The environment is otherwise comfortable and not elegant. The menu is very good. The food and portions were awesome. First bottomless naan bread with olive oil, spices, and feta are brought out as an appetizer. The restaurant had a good crowd but the food still came out in maybe 10 minutes. Honestly, 1 meal would be plenty for 2 people to share. The food is very good, and that is probably an understatement. For thrifty travelers coming to our city, this restaurant would be a good buy if you are in the mood for good hot meal. I had the beef shawarma platter. My daughter had the beef shish-ka-bob and rice. We both got drinks, + tip bill was $48. Waiter was young and very good, prompt. We will likely be back in a few weeks because it was such a good meal, and will take more people with us.

Delicious Food!

Pasha is amazing! The quality of the food is delicious and the staff are so friendly. We got the mixed grill plate and grilled mushrooms. The portions are huge!

Just OK

By drdmromeo |

We love Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food, and eat it frequently, wherever we travel. We were excited to try this place. It was just OK. Service was surly--they placed us in a seat I did not prefer and disliked it when I asked to change seats. Food was mediocre--I really did not like my falafel plate at all.

Never disappointed

Fantastic Birthday Dinner

By Rebekajean |

We brought our daughter here for her birthday dinner and we all loved the food. Hubby and I had been here years before and it's still serving the same plentiful and yummy food. The service is friendly, the food came out timely and warm, we all took the overages home. The bread (naan) is fresh, warm and perfect with the oil, spices and feta. I had shrimp, hubby and daughter had the meat plates. The restaurant was great about keeping tables 6 feet apart. No problem finding something to eat with my food allergies and prices are in line with the quality and quantity. We will be back.

Believe every good review - tender lamb, smooth perfect Hummas and the flatbread delicious

By RachelleNadinePhotography |

This is our first time as a family in San Antonio and they have learned to not eat anywhere until I've looked on TripAdvisor and found the best options. We're staying at the Embassy Suites by the airport and late at night trying to find a place for dinner this was it. I ordered the lamb kebabs and they were the biggest pieces of juicy tender lamb I've ever had at a Mediterranean restaurant. Came with rice and a veggie skewer. Large portion. Excellent option for kids at a very affordable price under $6 my kids did the chicken and beef and loved it very much. The hummus was phenomenal with multiple flavor options, regular, spicy, garlic, and pine nuts. We ordered the pine nuts, garlic and the kids got regular. I've had hummus from many restaurants all over the Northwest and also in Israel and this place top some of the best I've ever had. My husband went and picked up the order so I had to trust that everything was going to be order correctly. To my greatest surprise was the huge tub of garlic aioli that they included with our order. It was the cherry on top and added massive amounts of flavor to every bite that you took. I even put a dollop of it on top of the Greek salad I ordered. We will be here for 6 more days and I can promise you we will be going back at least once or twice. It's a great option for those who are gluten-free if you can avoid the temptation of that delicious flatbread.
