10th time here and always GREAT!

By TJSM |

Hostess Robyn warmly greets you upon entering this magical place, full of energy and great vibes. The entire waitstaff, especially Robin and Hannah, are wonderful and make for an incredible dining experience. The food is expertly prepared and at a price that pleases the pocketbook! A really fun place!

Oldie But Goodie

By freedine |

My husband and I recently dined at this oldie, but , goodie and were impressed with the fresh and flavorful dishes! We began with the fried ravioli served atop a tomato basil sauce - the filling was warm and the dish was perfection. I had the chicken and wild mushroom ravioli and my husband had my husband had gnocchi dish that was a special - both were very well prepared - we finished with the best tiramisu we have ever had! We enjoyed the cozy ambience and cannot wait to return! This is a hidden gem oozing with la dolce vita!

Excellent Italian Food in a Charming Midtown Location

By Dan T |

Recommended by parent of a Georgia Tech student. Near campus. Very good food & services. Will be a regular stop when I come to Atlanta.

SUPER LOUD + super slow = not worth the dough

By Amy D |

The #1 thing I would say about this restaurant is that it is incredibly loud. It was loud as soon as we entered and it got louder and louder as we walked to our table. It was so loud we couldn't hear the waiter talking to us. I can't even describe it. It was a loud baseline buzz but you could hear every word of the people at the end of the room. There are some serious acoustic issues in there. I wish I could say I could overlook the noise because the food was great and the service was amazing.... but the food was only average and the service was so slow it became comical. I would not recommend. If you do go, bring ear plugs and patience.

Great food and service

By StephPlum2 |

I ate at Pasta Da Pulcinella for dinner and had a special which was cheese tortellini with grilled chicken in a pesto cream sauce with toasted walnuts. It was very good but I thought it was a small portion when I looked at other tables and different dishes. I would say you should order a salad or some type of appetizer if you are getting this. The dish was quite tasty but gave me the impression of a pre-prepared dish and not hand made. The olive oil on the table for the bread was quite tasty as well with a good flavor. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. My waiter made a great suggestion on a sparkling moscato what was the bomb!!

favorite Italian in Atlanta

By Chris B |

Every time I visit Atlanta and stay in this area, I make an effort to go to this restaurant. Small and casual, the food and service are both fantastic, and affordable, as well. Starters are basic but freshly prepared - try the bruschetta or caprese. I don't typically order these types of starters, but they are definitely fitting for this restaurant (and good quality). One of the more interesting house specialites is the Tortelli di Mele, which matches apple, sausage, and parmigiano in what is a quite tasty (albeit very rich) pasta dish. For dessert, I would recommend the tiramisu or cannoli.

This Place Was a Yummy Lifesaver

By JaimeBrooklyn |

I visited this restaurant about 2 weeks ago when I was in Atlanta on a company business trip. I stayed at the Moxy and my boss and I were looking for somewhere to eat locally. This restaurant happened to be right across the street. It reminds me of the house I grew up in, in Brooklyn. Its cozy, although the entryway is a little small and not made for waiting. It gets uncomfortable. However, the people are lovely and they made room for a huge party that came in and for us. I had the basic linguini and added chicken. It was nothing amazing, but it was light and cooked right. The server was absolutely lovely. My only complaint would be that it is very, very dark inside and extremely difficult to see the menus if you have a hard time visually. Otherwise, it was a cute, little Italian place that I would return to.

Awesome Italian Food

By Finch42 |

My wife and I had never been here before but chose it to celebrate our anniversary. We were thrilled with our choice! The wait staff and waiter were spot on and so friendly and helpful. The truffle appetizer was incredible and our entrees were probably the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had. It’s obvious the food is fresh! Do yourself a favor and visit!!

Amazing food, many drink options, excellent service, beautiful ambiance.

By Basia G |

The food: We have been to Pasta da Pulcinella three times now and every meal was delicious and perfectly prepared. The flavors are to die for. The portions are perfectly sized. There are plenty of options - and many pasta dish options. Hands down this is the best pasta I've had in Midtown. The service: Even when busy, the servers are attentive - you don't sit with empty glasses or dirty plates. If your waiter is busy, someone else will come by to see if you need anything. They set the standard in service. The drinks: They have an excellent selection of cocktails and wine. The ambiance: This quaint little restaurant is disguised as a cottage and at first glance, you wouldn't be able to tell that this is actually an upscale spot with fresh Italian fare. The entire restaurant is candlelit at night which makes for a perfect date spot. I highly recommend sitting on the outside deck or by a window. The cost: Very reasonable. And definitely inexpensive for the quality. In sum: Amazing food, many drink options, excellent service, beautiful ambiance.

Italian Food Put Through the De-Flavorizer Machine

By john s |

I had a Caesar salad, tortellini with roast chicken, and cheesecake (supposedly with Grand Marnier). It all tasted exactly alike, that is like nothing at all. It had different textures, but no flavor whatsoever. If you put black pepper on it, it tasted like black pepper. The chicken was overcooked to the point of being just dry white cubes. The sauce was, like everything else. tasteless. How do you do this to Italian food? The service was so-so. The waitress did not inquire as to the quality of my entree. The Parmesan guy never came around. Maybe the ground Parm would have tasted like something. I'l Never know.

Little Gem behind Four Seasons

By Eileen S |

Fabulous homemade pasta, attentive but non-intrusive staff, warm atmosphere and shockingly affordable. Had the prosciutto pear salad, dressing with a hint of Dijon. Delicious. Thin homemade pasta with a shrimp scampi sauce. Great date place!

Great Italian restaurant in Midtown Atlanta

Pasta Da Pulcinelli is a Atlanta gem. Great Itlalian food with exceptional service. You will love the outdoor patio. Reasonable priced.

Wonderful!

By Bdelatorre |

Wonderful Italian meal! I went with the house special ravioli, which was excellent! My wife went with the chicken Marsala, which also was excellent! Will definitely be coming back here!

Absolutely superb, and fun

By Westport76 |

Great Italian food, friendly and knowledgeable service, and comfortable feel of nice neighborhood restaurant. Enjoy standing menu or changing specials. If we were locals, this would be a regular stop!

Delicious

By brocqie |

Our Concierge Jonathan at Loews Hotel recommended this Restaurant to us and we are so pleased we visited whilst in Atlanta. This was one of the best Italian Restaurants we have visited the food is freshly prepared and I had the best pasta I've ever eaten here, staff are really friendly we had a lovely lady from Bulgaria assisting us. It is a busy place but unpretentious just great food, thank you for a lovely evening.

Excellent service, divine food and delicious cocktails!

By luv2travelfam |

Amazing 50th birthday celebration with friends at Pasta Da Pulcinella! - The food was ALL divine: the pear/prosciutto salad, Tortellini di Mele, the lobster ravioli in champagne sauce, the tiramisu and the most wonderful peach sorbetto! - The craft cocktails were delicious and creative - you must try the pear/apple martini! **But the people and the excellent service they provided is what I will remember the most. The warm welcome from Sarah, our most excellent waiter Cole, and finally closing out the evening with a final cocktail at the bar with new friends -Ben, Robin, Cole and Sarah - That was the best all around dining experience I have ever had in the US, and quite possibly anywhere I’ve traveled! Many thanks to you, all and all the best in life and love! 💗

A complete failure

By billindunwoody |

Went tonight with my wife for a birthday dinner. Reservation was for 7:30 and we were a few minutes early. We chose no appetizers and the main course was not served until 8:20. I had the old favorite lobster ravioli, which was fine, and my wife had the special angel hair pasta and shrimp, which was not fine. Just a large lump of pasta and four measly shrimp, with some cut up tomatoes. The waiter did comp that, after we told him how bad it was. I had told them that it was a birthday for my wife. No recognition of that until I bluntly mentioned it. This has been a favorite of ours for years, and I was ready to write it off completely, but my wife wants to give it one more chance down the road. I wouldn't, after tonight

Excellent!

By yorkiemom6 |

We were so impressed with the service, food and atmosphere! We were visiting ATL for the first time and didn't know where to go. This seemed like a good option and would definitely recommend. Our server was friendly and attentive. The dining areas are charming and very close quarters with other tables. We ordered the house salad with balsamic and choose from the specials. The shimp pasta dish was amazing. Sauces were light and flavorful. We look forward to going back on our next trip!

Good Italian food

By TalalZ |

Pasta da Pulcinella is a nice cozy Italian Restaurant in Midtown Atlanta with tasty food and good service. The restaurant is very busy on weekends and you better make a reservation in advance. Prices are moderate as expected in Midtown. Parking in the Midtown is always a challenge but the restaurant offers its customers reduced parking rate of $6 for 2 hours at the nearby Moxi Hotel on 13th street. I enjoyed having dinner there and would recommend the restaurant.

Enjoyable

By Travels_too_much_99 |

So that was a nice dinner. The place was packed, really packed, but the staff was not flustered. I had a table at the time of my reservation, so it is efficient. The food is good. As Italian food should be. Not too complicated, but well made. I would go again...

I agree! Really great place

By WadeAtlanta |

Three of us had dinner here on 2/3/18 and our server was Hannah. First off, Hannah rocks and was about the best server we have ever had. She speaks about 100 different languages and is SO fun (Give Hannah a raise already!). We shared a bottle of wine - 15% off. Had an appetizer, three wonderful yummy dinners, and dessert. The place is upscale but not snobbish. Relaxed and has a great vibe. Lobster ravioli was the best of the three but all three dinners were better then anything else we have eaten. It's a bit pricey - dinners were $16, $17 and $19. The wine $68. BUT it was worth it and we would definitely recommend this restaurant. Can't wait to go back. Thanks.

I had high hopes

By L J |

This is a really beautiful, quaint restaurant that just screams "neighborhood gem" soI was excited to try it. I did, and I just don't understand how it possibly scores so well. Maybe I ordered the wrong two dishes, but they were the two easiest dishes to shine on. The restaurant is in a small little house like building on a quiet corner. I sat inside at a table as a solo diner since the 3 seats at the bar were already full at 5:45 pm. Service was excellent, food was terrible. I started with the Caesar salad. It was so heavily gooped down in dressing I could only eat about 1/2 of it. OK-someone just was heavy handed, I thought. Next, I decided to go with the Bolognese. I LOVE Bolognese, LOVE IT. I really like that it varies a bit from place to place, so you get to enjoy different takes upon it. This Bolognese was probably the worst I have ever had. It was set upon some spinach noodles that were a little dry, but the sauce was the true disaster. The plate came out with the bottom covered in a watery liquid, and very little, if any, meat sauce on top. The flavor of the sauce as ok at best. I tried to stretch it out but quickly ran out of bolognese sauce and it was not worth just trying to eat the noodles in watery liquid on the plate. So, salad and bolognese, pretty basic things...I barely ate at all as they just were not good. I make Ina Garten's bolognese at home all of the time and it blows this away. I'm just amazed the food was that bad here. A very disappointing end to the day.

Wonderful

Great service, small and cozy, local chef, great food, hidden gem for sure. You can't go wrong here.

Horrible!

By davidirc |

Don’t waste the evening on dinner here. Service was poor. Food was bland. Wine list was overrated. Too many fabulous places in Atlanta to go to other than here. Thanks.

Visiting from Winter Park, Fl

By ROGagliano |

The restaurant is in a fabulous location, very pretty and we really enjoyed sitting on the patio, which was lively with many locals enjoying the evening. The bread, apps and entrees were authentic Italian and all 7 of us were very happy (I shared the truffle pasta and chicken parmigiana 🤩😋). We ended the night with the cheesecake, tiramisu and both were devoured. Our server was a sweetheart too!

Relaxing lunch!

By CaptTrouble |

We had a wonderful lunch here today. My husband and I had a day off and decided to get lunch. We had a noon reservation, which got us a table by the window. They weren’t very busy today; we have seen it when it was absolutely nuts at noon. But the day before Thanksgiving was fairly quiet. We both started out with an Arugula Salad. It was fresh arugula tossed with pine nuts, goat cheese, and a citrus vinaigrette. Very refreshing and we both loved it. For entrees my husband ordered the Tortelli di Mele, tortelli stuffed with a Granny Smith apple, sausage, and Parmesan mix, topped with browned butter and sage. I had the Ravioli di Funghi, a wild mushroom ravioli topped with browned garlic, shiitakes and domestic mushrooms, and tossed in a rosemary infused olive oil. This was then topped with chopped fresh tomatoes and julienned zucchini. We asked for a wine recommendation and each had a glass of the Super Tuscan Sasyr, a favorite. We had a bread basket while waiting for our entrees. Light and delicately crusty flavorful bread with a fruity olive oil and salt. Everything was excellent. Both of our entrees were good but we agreed that mine was better. It was SO SAVORY! A lot of umami, and the browned garlic slices were delicious. I couldn’t believe how good the ravioli was. The tortelli was good, and we have both ordered it before, but the ravioli was excellent. Great service and a clean restaurant too.

I hoped for better service

By LetsGo |

I really wanted to like this restaurant after reading the great reviews but our two servers were not professional. We were enjoying our salads (very good btw) when the main entrees arrived. She set them down as if we were ready for them and I said we would still like to enjoy our salads. This seemed to annoy her and when she brought them back later they clearly had been sitting in a hot oven and now our pasta was totally dried out. Our other server ignored us while our wine and water glasses sat empty. Overall I expected more.

Great atmosphere

By timtab |

We visited a number of restaurants in Nashville, Gatlinburg and Atlanta during our vacation and this was the only one that was full (and on a Monday night) and buzzing. The food is very nice and easily on a par with good Italian restaurants in Europe, and the service was friendly and efficient.... A bit more of a gap between appetizer and mains would have been nice, but this seems to be something a lot of American restaurants struggle with, at least we had finished our starters before the mains appeared, which was better than some other restaurants we visited

DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT.

By maddybob |

We were a group of 18 visiting Atlanta. We made a reservation one month in advance. On the day of the reservation, We arrived at the restaurant on time. It was raining. The hostess did not have the table ready as she said she wanted to seat us on the patio but now had no space as it was raining. We told her she should have called us and let us know. She was extremely rude and unreasonable. She told us to find another restaurant very rudely. We offered to wait until they got a table ready for us. They told us to go to the bar across the street till the table was ready. We could clearly see there was no bar across the street. Finally we agreed to go to the bar she suggested. One of the staff escorted a few of us across the street and literally left us under the awning of a vacant storefront and said to wait there and he would bring us a drink. There was no bar! We finally left. I will never recommend this restaurant. They were so rude, unprofessional and deceitful.

Date night

Small and intimate with great food. Authentic Italian cuisine at great prices..service was excellent which made this a great date night!

Professor Lescota

By Joe L |

Yes this is a great Italian restaurant. Make a reservation. If you have someone in your group that has dietary restrictions don't worry as you will find a delicious meal is available. Save room for desert. The cheese cake is rich and superb. I enjoyed the peach sorbet served in a hollowed out real peach. Best parking îs the lot across the street. Pulcinella can validate your ticket (be sure to ask) for a $10 saving. Just a side note: Seating is tight as this restaurant serves amazing food but the restaurant is small and tables are rather close together. Totally worth it. Cole ( I think he also likes to be called Carl) was our waiter. He provided exemplary service with great smiles and a sense of humor. I will definitely ask for him again. Side Note: There are a few seats at the bar for dining should you be traveling and dining alone. The friendly bartender won't let you feel you're alone unless you choose to do so. When you call for a reservation be sure to let them know îf you're celebrating an event.

Small Gem in Midtown Atlanta

By Gail S |

We enjoyed our recent visit to this quaint Italian restaurant! This little midtown spot offers outdoor seating, great service, and amazing food! The Tagliatelle Verdi Alla Bolognese is without a doubt the best I’ve eaten. On the night of our visit their chef had added house made fennel sausage to the Bolognese - WOW! They have a very good wine list which compliments the menu nicely! Definitely worth a visit!!

Great dinner and dessert

By CaptTrouble |

My husband and I went here for a later dinner. We had reservations and were seated right away. We both started with the Caesar salad and added anchovies ($5 + $2 ea). My husband had a glass of Piatelli Malbec ($10), I had a glass of Landmark Overlook ($11). The salads were very good as was the wine. My husband ordered the Risotto ($25), I ordered the Pasta Special ($24) and a glass of Rose Lavignone ($10). It was all very good, especially my pasta which had a lot of seafood in it. We split a Cannoli for dessert ($6). It was quite good and crunchy. Fast service, clean restaurant. We will definitely be back.

Perfect dinner with toddler in tote

By erinw88 |

Good food, excellent service, and a lovely atmosphere. It’s difficult to find nice restaurants in large cities that can accommodate young children. Luckily we found Pasta Da Pulcinella which was walking distance from our hotel. The staff was so good with our child. They supplied a child cup of water as soon as we sat down without being asked. Also, our child’s food came out before ours which is a huge benefit. We really appreciate the efforts by the staff to make our dinner enjoyable for the entire family.

Amazing food and cozy environment.

By H. Mint |

Service was great at the bar and table. Food was outstanding. Chicken Ravioli is a must and the tortellini with chicken was great. Inside and outside seating available.

Terrific!

Fantastic food, perfect portions, great service. A nice quiet dinner that won’t break the bank! We were so lucky we found this place !

Delicious! Creative, homemade!

By JES |

Delicious! Creative, homemade and authentic cooking. We had a delicious dinner last night. The team worked together beautifully and everyone was friendly with cheerful attitudes. We were tired after an all day flight and we ordered right away. Our server, Cole, and the kitchen got our food out quickly and it was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back and we will ask for Cole by name.

Great food and service

We were a party of 6 and we all loved our food. Server was excellent. Wish I could remember his name! Will definitely return. Was a bit loud but didn’t present a problem.

Delightful Patio Dining

By DomerChrisH |

We recently enjoyed a delightful and delicious dinner on the patio of this small eatery. Staff were helpful and attentive and made choosing entries much easier. Their choices were excellent. Wine list was simple but ample and provided good parings with the entrees. The presentation was superb and the pricing reasonable. Go if you get the chance.

Poor Food Quality

By Blanquita69 |

I wanted to try this place because I saw so many good reviews... Well, I’m not sure what all these people were thinking. The place was nice, cozy, elegant. The service was good. However, the food was AWFUL. We were a party of three and ordered Bruschetta and Calamari as appetizers. Then ordered Lobster Ravioli, Chicken Cannelloni and Veal Marsala as our main courses. First of all, the Bruschetta was served with very little tomato, goat cheese and a bunch of lettuce on top drenched with balsamic vinaigrette... Anyone that knows quality Italian food would knows that is NOT Bruschetta. Personally, I don’t even eat regular salad with dressing. Therefore, I was annoyed that the appetizer was covered in the vinaigrette. Moving on to the calamari - they were flavorless and served with a green blob that tasted horrible. The main courses: Veal Marsala - the meat was tough, chewy, the sauce it was served with tasted like a poor attempt at Salisbury sauce. Perhaps, what I would imagine old meat and canned sauce would taste like (not Marsala at all). The Chicken Cannelloni - it looked like enchiladas instead of Cannelloni, the tomato sauce tasted like enchilada sauce, the stuffing was cold, and the chicken inside was puréed (which is gross). The Lobster Ravioli - five pieces of ravioli swimming in a sweet cream sauce. The person in our party that had that dish ate one ravioli, we all shared (just to taste) another piece and left three on the plate. We really should have paid the check and left after the appetizers, but we had good faith that perhaps the main courses would be better than the appetizers. They were not. We had Valpolicella wine and prosecco to drink (those were good). We finally paid the check - $125 + $20 tip (we could not bring ourselves to tip better because the food was of such poor quality and taste) - and went to another Italian restaurant to eat.

Unexpecterd, Superb Italian Evening

By Dave H |

Excellent, excellent Italian!! A simple but delicious Caprese salad, followed by a perfect special of spinach gnocchi in a gorgonzola sauce. Limoncello topped off a very relaxing evening. And all the better if you're fortunate to have Cozmuh as your server!!! (Btw/, note their new address at 1100 West Peachtree St. NW.)

Great Place!!!!

By jhae |

Very nice and easy reachable restaurant for pasta lovers!!! Outside seating available. Try the lobster ravioli!

Excellent Italian food

By JKB |

Very Friendly atmosphere and really good wine. We were a party of 4 on a weekday night. We went at 6pm without a reservation and we lucked out and got in. By 6:30 the place was packed so I would suggest reservations. We had the Calamari and Goat cheese appetizers. Excellent taste if not a little small. One alone would not feed 4. We had the Trout meal. Very light meal but a hearty portion and really good flavor. The Mushroom Ravioli were so stuffed with mushrooms. Perfect. The other two pasta meals were very good and would have them again. I would recommend Tiramisu for desert. Excellent and light.

Very good food and service …

By RB242 |

… at least when you get beyond the “over her head” hostess and you can avoid to get the worst table in the place. Then everything is fine. Very nice service, great food (pasta!!) and a good wine list. Enjoyable!

An Atlanta Classic

By alaskanneil |

Always top notch food and service. It is in a old house where apartment towers are sprouting up all around and I hope it survives. I remember going to it decades ago when I was in college. They have great seafood options and their raviolis are to die for.

Service and Venue lovely.

By Debby G |

The service (waiter named Kale) was the best part of the meal. We took his enthusiastic recommendations for Prosciutto wrapped asparagus, and two raviolis - Tortilla di Mele and Ravioli de Funghi. The ravioli were just ok. The prosciutto was sliced too thickly and the asparagus was very tough - would not recommend this dish. The Caprese salad was also disappointing. In August, I expect to get tasty tomatoes. These were pathetic - light pink/red - more like something you'd expect to find in the northern part of country in Jan. or Feb. Tiramisu was very good as a finishing course. We sat outside and enjoyed the venue. Perhaps it was an off night - but the next time we visit Atlanta, we will probably try a different restaurant. Again, service was very nice. Good pace, everyone we came in contact with was gracious, efficient and professional.

Fabulous Dining Experience in Midtown Atlanta

By thejazzguy |

We have enjoyed many great dining experiences in Atlanta, but few have compared to Pasta Da Pulcinella. Our server Isabella was welcoming and very attentive. My wife enjoyed Tortelli di Mele, a wonderful ravioli stuffed with apple and sausage with a brown butter sauce. For me, the lamb chops were perfectly prepared. The setting is a cozy bungalow with an intimate environment. I will definitely recommend this dining experience to my friends and colleagues.

Good food, but NOT in the Italian spirit

By Joshua M |

The pasta dishes here are great--the raviolis second to none. However, we made a reservation on Wednesday for a Saturday night, and the first table available was at 9:30. Which is ABSOLUTELY no problem; very Italian, in fact. We love a late dinner, and in Italy, you might not have a reservation until 10 p.m., but you're just happy to soak in the evening (and the meal) until whenever--perhaps as late as midnight or even after. We were seated at 9:45 after waiting for a bit and ordered a bottle of prosecco. When the prosecco arrived, we ordered two salads and two mains, expecting a bit of time in between. The salads arrived at maybe 10:15, followed almost immediately by our pasta dishes, so it felt a bit rushed. At 11 p.m., the server was at our table telling us the kitchen was closing, and if we wanted dessert, we should order it right away. We were still finishing up our dinner and had half a bottle of prosecco left (we took a Lyft as a special treat so we wouldn't have to drive), and we very much felt like we were being hustled out the door. Chairs were getting moved about, folks were sweeping up, and we didn't even feel comfortable ordering an espresso or a last drink. Again, the food is spot on, but the restaurant itself can't possibly be run (or managed) by actual Italians. Chugging a last bit of Prosecco and getting herded out the door at 11:15 is no way to run an Italian restaurant. It was a real pity, since we were celebrating a special occasion.

Anniversary bliss!

By kdpor3 |

Came here for a romantic anniversary dinner and this restaurant did not disappoint. No restaurant parking so you have to park in a paid lot directly across the street. Ordered the house special ravioli (superb) along with the basic linguine (basil pesto cream saucel). Absolutely delectable. Service is fantasitic. Moscato wine was divine!

Authentic Italian - Excellent Service

Excellent food, friendly service - Lenee and Luca make this a midtown must. I hear the new location in November will be close by and beautifully designed.

High quality taste, service

By J V |

Booked dinner with my son while in ATL and I must say, this place was amazing. Wasn’t sure what to expect at first but I’m glad we tried it. The place is perfect for a casual dinner or even a celebration or romantic date. The food was so delicious (garlic sauce linguini) and highly recommend the flat breads and the desserts - unbelievable but what really caught my eye, pricing- so affordable I thought they had provided the lunch pricing menu. I will be back next time I come and I wish DFW was on their list of next openings.

Outstanding lunch!

By CaptTrouble |

I stopped here for lunch after an appointment. Luckily, I had made a reservation online for one for lunch. Even though I had a reservation, the hostess asked if I wanted to sit at the bar. The stools looked uncomfortable; no. That struck me as odd that I would be asked but I can understand they want to efficiently fill the space. I was seated at a 2 person table right next to a party of four that I think was an extended lunch interview. Once again, efficient. I would have preferred a little more quiet, but I tried to ignore them. I learned too much about the interviewee's clients; why would you name your clients in an open restaurant? My server was with me right away, and Yeva did a terrific job throughout my meal. When she asked for a drinks order she seemed quite pleased that I chose a glass of the Rocca delle Macie Sasyr Super Tuscan ($10). She said it was a very good wine and that she really liked it. She was right; a Sangiovese-Syrah Toscana it had ripe jam fruit flavors and was as smooth as velvet. At $10 a glass, it was a steal. I also ordered the Tagliatelle Verdi Alla Bolognese ($10), a house-made spinach tagliatelle with a hearty veal, beef, and vegetable ragú. My husband had had it several times and loved it. I received a bread basket and several refills on my water. The Tagliatelle was excellent! I loved my meal and the service. From where I was sitting I could watch the kitchen preparing dishes from the short distance across the dining room. Nothing sat. Ever. I look forward to my next visit!

Great Italian cooking

I went here four or five times during my recent stint in Atlanta and it never failed to deliver. Great homemade pasta - especially the ravioli dishes - and sensible-sized portions. They also make a great negroni!

A gem in Midtown Atlanta

By Loreen B |

BOTTOM LINE: Make a reservation to ensure you can get in! Quaint little Italian restaurant in Midtown. EXCEPTIONAL quality Italian food. Carl was the most wonderful server. Loved the overall feel and vibe of this restaurant. Stumbled upon this place since it was close to where we were staying (MOXY - you can check out my review for that too)! Saw on Trip Advisor that you should have a reservation so was lucky enough to get one. This meal did not disappoint!! Everyone loved their meal!! I had the house specialty - Tortelli di Mele - Granny Smith and sausage ravioli. It was AWESOME! The cream sauce was delicious and a nice combination of flavors. - Mele martini and Cosmopolitan were excellent drinks after a long day of traveling!! - Tagliatelle Verdi Alla Bolognese was EXCEPTIONAL! Pay a few dollars extra for extra sauce / more meat! - Two of us had a special of tortellini (Cheese Tortellini with Grilled Chicken) with walnuts in a basil pesto cream sauce and LOVED it. All of our plates were EMPTY at the end of the meal! - Calamari was DELICIOUS! - Mezzaluna Ravioli - Fried ravioli was to die for! - Deserts was average but worth it to try the tiramisu and chocolate cake. We finished our meal with some lattes. Nice ending to a delicious and filling meal! If you are in Atlanta, be sure to visit this place for dinner!!

Fresh Pasta Down South

By S7139VEjimg |

I was in town for a convention but this place looked like it was packed with locals. Interesting fresh pasta dishes. We sampled their special granny smith apple ravioli. Lobster ravioli and spinach noodle fettuccini with a very authentic Bolognese sauce. Creative appetizers. Nice wine list. Friendly staff. I would definitely put it on my list of favorites.

Real Italian in Upscale Midtown

By Yagelski |

While Midtown Atlanta is enjoying a resurgence that includes many new dining options, it’s good to know some of the legacy establishments remain strong and true to their roots. Pasta Da Pulcinella has been located in Midtown, well... forever. It has done well to stay current and relevant. Our dining experiences here have been rewarding. Real Italian food prepared quickly. A wine list that is more than adequate. Attentive service without be intrusive (ask for Hannah, she’s wonderful). Priced quite reasonably compared to the local competition. You can bet that we will be back for more, again and again.

Wonderful spot with tremendous food and service. Get the Tortelli di Mele.

By TravelGuyBos |

I was staying downtown for a conference and found the restaurants around the convention center to be very disappointing, so I ventured to Midtown, where I heard the dining scene was much better. Pasta Da Pulcinella was outstanding. I got a great seat at the bar. The bartender was knowledgeable and friendly. He made great cocktails and excellent suggestions about the menu. The food was spectacular, too. I was told the Tortelli di Mele is a favorite among the regulars, and I can see why: ravioli stuffed with sausage and granny smith apples, served in a light brown butter and sage sauce. Delicious! Thanks to the team for a terrific experience.

Creative and delicious food!

We had just an hour to eat before a show. We made reservations and they got us in quickly. The food was amazing, my seasonal pumpkin ravioli was perfect! Spinach gnocchi was great too, salmon and risotto was impressive as well. We ate outside, we put the request in the comment section of reservations.

Authentic Italian

By jmelissaprentice |

Came for dinner with a group of 12! The rest was very close to the AC and Atlanta Suite Marriott hotels! Walking distance! Food was awesome! Restaurant is very small, loud and very, very tight! The food is worth it! Would return! Nice little spot! I do recommend. I ordered the snapper which was awesome... however, be sure to order veggies! I don’t personally like eating a plate of food with no veggies. By the time I realized it didn’t come with veggies and tried to order it it was a bit too late.

Still Wonderful

By Patricia R |

I've frequented this restaurant many times over the years and am still impressed with how good everything is here. The bar staff is fast and personable. The wait staff is professional and friendly. The food is delicious. The setting is warm and cozy. Let's back up and talk about the food. The Tortilli di Mille is a dish that you will think about long after the meal is over. The flavors are just so interesting and wonderful! Can't wait to go back to this gem.

This is an excellent Italian eatery in midtown and you should try it.

Da Pulcinelli is an excellent restaurant. The venue, menu, service, and food were outstanding. The central location make it very accessible.

Amazing!

We went here for my son’s birthday and everything was fantastic. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was perfect and the service was great !

Better choices in Atlanta!

By Serviceprof |

Restaurant has average decor and ambiance. Evening got off to bad start. We had to wait 20 minutes for drink orders. So bad that manager stopped by and comped our drinks for the rest of the evening. Food is average. Service is adequate. Certainly not a top 50 restaurant.

disappointed

By mphawes |

the food was average. We were celebrating our 28th anniversary and noted it on our reservation hoping to get a nice seat. We were literally sat across from the kitchen. My view was waiters coming in and out and dishes. It seemed like a fast food restaurant because of how fast our dinner was brought out and whisked away. we will not return.

A friendly Italian with good food

By Julie F |

This old style Italian was very close to our midtown hotel. On a Sunday night we walked in at 6pm and were lucky to get 2 seats at the bar. It turned out to be a great place to sit. Our host Linnee (apologies for spelling) was highly efficient but also friendly and helpful. We chatted, she ran the bar and mixed drinks, recommended menu items and wines. She told us that the chef has been there for 20 years. The food was good, traditional Italian standards. My husband's pappardelle verde bolognese was delish! And my pasta with shrimp was also very good. I highly recommend this restaurant for food and friendly service. But maybe book as we should have!

wonderful

By angelarK8845KX |

the food was wonderful and kato was a great server. Try the lobster ravioli or the grilled lamb chops. The desserts were very tasty.

First visit to Midtown

By Dan S |

I have been to Atlanta several times on business. Usually just stay downtown. But This visit chose midtown. Loved it. This place has wonderful ambiance as well as delicious food. Two people had lobster ravioli and loved it. The basil tomato sauce was good. The chicken parm was very good. We had great service- Robin was very attentive. Hope I can go back.

indifferent service

By Michael T |

The one thing I cannot tolerate is feeling like the service staff has no interest in what they are doing. While the server taking our order was adequate, the food was literally dropped on our table while the server was looking off in the distance. The food was OK, but nothing that I would come back for. Decided to just go back to the hotel for dessert instead of "bothering" the staff

Great food & service, very accomodating to large party at the last minute.

By hutchmarz |

Thoroughly enjoyed visit with large group - all well taken care of, loved my meal of their house special Tortelli di Mele :) As owner of an Italian restaurant in a coastal resort area, I appreciated their efforts with our diverse group.

Awesome Affordable Dining

By Murf961 |

Stopped by late on a Saturday night after a football game and had a great dinner. From the time we were greeted and seated I knew we were in for a pleasant dining experience. The service and food were awesome. This will definitely be a stop on our next visit to Atlanta.

Need reservation

By Sara S |

Went to check this out as it had good reviews. Got to the place and they were only seating those with reservations, before going I looked online and they were not taking reservations, so you must have to book ahead of time. Worst part is, the attendant working there lot stole our money. Charged $8 for the 5min it took us to find out we couldn't eat there. Do not pay until you know you can sit down somewhere, the man will not refund your money and us an a$$ about it!

An ounce of pretention...

By IGolf4food |

Food, excellent. Atmosphere, very pleasant. Menu is full of unique dishes prepared with personal care. We had a lovely experience, except that our server was a bit pretentious, and did not match the warm, cozy atmosphere of the restaurant. A bit in your face and theatrical for our comfort. But come for the food! It would also help if they would answer their phone or return a message. I tried reaching them DAYS before our reservation about preparing a special dessert and no answer or response. Very frustrating and the dessert could not be done when we got there.

Awesome dinner

By lisawD5648TM |

We visit this restaurant every time we are in Atlanta! You are always guaranteed a delicious meal. We take our college son and his friends there every visit and now other parents take the boys there as well. Highly recommend making reservations. Food and service is excellent!

Delicious!

By gshoemate |

Pasta Da Pulcinella came highly recommended by our hotel concierge and they were correct. My coworker who arrived in Atlanta before me came here for dinner and we made a second trip just so I could experience it. The atmosphere, staff and food were wonderful. I wasn’t very hungry so I ate kind of light, caprese salad and fried ravioli. I would definitely return here if I was to visit Atlanta again.

Oh my god..

By I. M |

That’s the first thing that came to my mind. A Janice from friends moment. Where do I start ? Monday night .. probably the regular staff was off.. The Mexican girl helping out NEEDS to be replaced. Attitude and rudeness is not what you expect when you go out to dinner. Hate to say that, but something needs to be done. The bread was intended to be warm, but not much interest is placed in serving it and presenting it the correct way. First course was a mozzarella caprese. Served directly out of the refrigerator, plate and all.. tomato really good( freezing cold ) mozzarella sub par. Guys, even Belgioioso from Costco is a million times better. You can beat that easily. Stop serving freezing cold plates. It’s a No no ! Reminded me of a caprese on a cruise ship. Cheese tortellini were acceptable at best. Your supermarket dried cheese tortellini, nothing special. This is something that can be easily done better. Pesto sauce was good. Light, not overpowering. Funghi ravioli were excellent, well served and presented. Lobster ravioli were terrible. Served in a soup of some sort. The filling was difficult to differentiate, not something I would order again. Overall ? Nice place, but really had great expectations. Nice ambiance. Nice service. But I don’t think that’s enough to return. If you’re in midtown, give it a try .. but don’t go on Monday. Ever.

Very good Italian restaurant

By El_Wawa |

I was visiting one of my sons who is living in midtown at foot distance of the restaurant. We went there Saturday night and the pasta is very good. We had linguine with a spicy tomatoes sauce and ravioli filled with sausage flesh and apple. Pasta perfectly “al dente” et ravioli were exquisites. A very nice wine list with normal prices. Being Italian i recommend this place.

Very Disappointed

By GetItDone111 |

Booked via Open Table with note that we were celebrating a birthday and anniversary. We looked at the menu in advance because one party doesn’t eat pork or cheese. We saw an item that looked good which was a spinach tagliatelle with beef, veal ragu. THAT WAS THE MAIN REASON WE DECIDED TO GO TO THIS RESTAURANT. Well we get there and it says pork. Their own website menu as well as the Open Table menu DOES NOT. Waiter (who was great btw) said it’s always been pork. Also kept bringing 3 pieces of cold bread at a time and we found a long hair in it. Didn’t acknowledge special occasion. Sent private message to restaurant but they never responded so will post it publicly. Would not recommend and have since had several people tell me they had bad experiences at this restaurant. Ruined plans for this special night so we celebrated the next night somewhere else. Tried discussing situation privately but they would not respond or acknowledge anything.

Absolutely Delicious

We just happened upon this restaurant on the recommendation of the Moxy Atlanta Hotel and it was absolutely delicious. It was very quaint and everything was homemade. I will definitely return as it was well worth it!

Excellent dinner!

By CourtneyandScott |

We went as a group for dinner during the week. The meal was delicious! Kayo was our server and he was a real treat. I had the Argula salad and the Lobster Ravioli. I would definitely visit again! The atmosphere is so great and the prices were good.

Nice, intimate setting, good food, decent pricing

By John D |

We had a good time. My wife who is French liked it a lot, I liked it fine. It's not like food in Italy in my experience, but is good. The wine list is adequate.

Three Different Meals....All Excellent

By Sherpa2286 |

We sat on the very comfortable patio. They were busy, but not overwhelmed. Service was excellent and the team was friendly. Our granddaughter had the Pasta Special with Shrimp. I have the Ravioli di Fungi, and my wife had the Tortelli di Mele. All 3 were plentiful, prepared beautifully, and priced right. The only extra was the order of bread. A very enjoyable meal and evening.

Hidden gem

By Marsha L |

What a delightful experience! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with ordering. They didn’t hover but were appropriately present. The food was delicious and the wine selection perfect.

Good, moderately priced Italian fare

By John R |

Took my wife and granddaughter here the other night. The restaurant is tucked behind The Four Seasons in walkable mid-town. Fast service, nice wine list and a lively place. Very reasonable. I had the chicken ravioli which had some spice and was very nice. Worked out well with a child in tow too. My family all enjoyed it.

Excellent Food. Excellent Service

By DesertGal |

I was with a large group during a conference in town. They handled our group well - after an initial mishap with the reservation. The manager and servers went above and beyond to treat us well once seated. The food was excellent. Everyone raved about their meals. I was delighted to have the seasonal pumpkin tortellini. The food was so good that I returned a couple of nights later with my son to celebrate birthdays. Another great meal, and great desserts. A wonderful option for a nice dining experience. My son attends Georgia Tech, so I will definitely be back while he is still there!

Tasty, bit expensive

By Maria |

Softest corn I’ve ever had in my life. Shrimp po’ boy (fried) nowhere near New Orleans standards. Philly cheese steak was good. Sides were quite expensive ($2 for half cob corn). Overall $30 for 2 mains, 1 beer & 1 side

What a find!

By Texlahoman |

Great little hidden gem in midtown Atlanta. Little yellow house among the skyscrapers. Warm, friendly and the food, oh my! I had the cannelloni she had the tortelli de mele and we both loved our choice! I am a bit of a cannelloni snob. It has to be done just right and this little place nailed it! Tender, not too much gravy, served at the perfect temperature. The tortelli de mele is the house specialty. It is the perfect blend of sweet and savory. The Italian sausage is just incredible. No complaints about food or service! I finished off with an espresso and gelato while she had the Grand Marnier cheesecake. Both were excellent! Last notes, the portions are just right not too much nor to little. The prices are fair especially given the quality of the food. It is locally owned and operated. Last but not least, extra kudos for serving Beck’s NA beer!

Oh my, we had the best meal here!

By Theresa H |

We came to Pasta Da Pulcinella for dinner prior to running the Peachtree 10K the following day. Although we arrived prior to our scheduled reservation time, we were seated immediately, and served with graciousness by everyone working. Our server, Cao, was superb! Both our appetizers and entrees were amazing, reasonably priced, and perfectly cooked. The location is along Peachtree Walkway, in a very cute building, perfect for a relaxing dinner after a busy day preparing for the race! If we ever visit Atlanta again, we will definitely return to Pasta Da Pulcinella!

Great venue - hopefully it lasts!

By Lou P |

This was a highly-rated restaurant close to the Atlanta Symphony, which is why we chose to go there. Definitely would do it again - both food and service were great. The down side is that this is the only open building in two adjacent blocks, so it looks a bit sketchy. Everything else is boarded up and it looks like both blocks are about to be demolished. I hope they are able to survive the transition and continue their great service in this area.

Great food, service, and atmosphere!

By CaptTrouble |

We went here for lunch; it was a brisk walk of about 15 minutes. We made it early for lunch hour which is good thing as this is a very popular restaurant. We were seated near the window at a table with a white linen table cloth and salt and olive oil for the bread that was brought. We took the advice of our server and both ordered the Stella L red wine ($5 ea). We both also ordered the Tortelli di Mele ($10 ea.). Service was fast and highly competent. We received our entrees quickly and they were served hot. The filling on the di Mele is Granny Smith apples, sausage, and parmesan; absolutely delicious. The portion looked small but it was very filling. The restaurant is very elegant and very clean. We will go back as much as possible!

Go for this menu!

By jpjpjpjpj |

Truly special Italian food - some from the original 1994 menu and some recent additions. Service was also amazing, as was the setting in a renovated older home.

Delicious food.

By Julia I |

Delicious food and good service. My husbands entree was spectaular— the best chicken Parmesan either of us had had. My mushroom ravioli was good but it was odd to be topped with raw (cold) rather than lightly sauteeed tomatoes and zucchini. Food and service alone would be a 5. But it was so noisy upstairs it was hard to hear (maybe because a party of 14 was in the room perhaps it would be fine on another night). It also was chilly; many diners near front windows were wearing their jackets. I still would recommend. We may have attended on a colder and noisier than normal night.

Delicious Dinner - Mid-Town Atlanta

By Paul M |

We stayed in the Mid-Town Atlanta area for a few days and found this great restaurant. We were able to walk from our hotel to this restaurant, so parking was not an issue. If you can walk in the Mid-Town area, this is a great restaurant to visit! The weather was fantastic the night we visited, so we sat outside on the patio - very nice to have some outdoor seating. The food was delicious - lots of great choices, including some nightly specials. The waiter was very nice and attentive. The restaurant is somewhat small and intimate, so make sure you have a reservation. I can imagine that it fills up quickly. This was a real nice find - I recommend it if you want a fantastic Italian meal.

Great time, great place, will be back soon

By John S |

We dined here Saturday night and had a great experience. We really loved the cozy ambience. I had one of there original past dishes (Tortelli di Mele) that had listed Granny Smith Apples as one of the ingredients that almost thru me off - OMG I am glad I listened to KO (our waiter) - it was amazing. My wife had the Lobster Ravioli and she couldn't stop talking about it either. To me, the fact that you sit really close together and it is really loud inside is a plus, but it is not the place to go if you want quiet.

Nice Italian Place

By LarsonMN |

Service was very good overall, and we all enjoyed the food we ate. Here are some specifics: The charcuterie plate was small for $30 and even though it said it came with toasted bread, we never got any. Instead they gave us a basket of warm very yummy bread but then charged us $3 for it. Not the end the world (I didn’t say anything) but didn’t make sense to me. The charcuterie plate had fig jam, fresh parm, baby pickles, prosciutto, salami, nuts, and some interesting pickled peppers that no one could tell is what they were. All was good, but there wasn’t much of it. Our entrees came before we were done with it, but they cleared the plate without asking if we were finished. Oh well. For entrees… I had the spinach gnocchi. It was delicious , although it wasn’t very hot and the portion size was just ok. Another person had the linguini with garlic cream sauce and grilled chicken. It was warm and tasty, but a little light on the sauce. The ambience was nice, all-gender bathrooms were clean and overall it was a good experience! I would come back and probably try some different items. The menu had a lot of appealing options’

A charming Italian restaurant.

By StockholmKindaGuy |

This mid-town restaurant is more hidden than it once was because of all the new high rise buildings in the area. With it's outdoor seating, Pasta Da Pulcinella is one of the prettier Italian restaurants in Atlanta. It exudes a charm that makes for a comfortable place to dine. Pasta Da Pulcinella has a well-rounded menu. All the bases are covered. Not large but satisfying and the prices are reasonable. I ordered Tagliatelle Verdi Alla Bolognese (House made spinach tagliatelle with a hearty ragú made with veal, beef, pork, onions, carrots, celery, tomatoes, and a hint of cream - $18). Reading the menu description, I had big expectations that were quickly thwarted upon arrival. Everything from the taste of the pasta to the meat sauce was lacking. This is a dish where you expect a big flavor, but it wasn't there. Even the cannoli was disappointing. Service on the the other hand was excellent. Attentive and friendly. Pasta Da Pulcinella has a full bar and outside seating. If you can't find parking on the street, there's a nearby garage. Ask about validation.

Consistently Excellent

By rglaw890 |

This was a return visit to Pasta da Pulcinella, with guests who had not dined there previously. Pulcinella is a safe bet for excellent, home made pasta and an all around great meal, and this time did it not did not disappoint - 4 different entre's - four delicious dinners - the tortellini with grilled chicken, and tortelli (their "signature" dish) especially so.

Go-to Italian in midtown

By lainek804 |

Wonderful pre-show dining in an intimate atmosphere. Good value and solid wine list. Choose the tortelli di Mele or risk order envy at your table. Dine al fresco if the weather allows.

Bongo-Pasta

By Terrence K |

Very good Italian restaurant, home made pasta and attentive service. The house specialty tagliatelle was excellent! Had an excellent Primitivo as well! Had two very tasty appetizers both with prosciutto one with grilled asparagus and one with pears and arugula.

Perfect!

By LadyDiPennsylvania |

This little hidden gem was just what we needed! My daughter and I had an exhausting day of college visits and needed a really delicious and relaxing dinner within walking distance of our hotel, the Renaissance Midtown. We decided we needed Italian and LOVED this charming restaurant! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The atmosphere was also really charming and comfortable. The prices here are much more reasonable than many places in the neighborhood. We would return in a heartbeat!

Rude! Eat and Get Out Quickly! Not coming Back

By italiantraveller6 |

Rude! This has always been a favorite place to come when we travel twice a year. I invited a friend who lives in the area to join us. She drove over an hour to do so. After 1 hour and 20 minutes of our scheduled reservation, the manager came to our table and asked us to leave as other guests needed to be seated. Our friend went to the restroom and while we were waiting near the door, we were asked to wait outside in the 38 degree weather at the patio table with firepit surrounded by smokers. I called to complain and the manager said she didn't think she did anything wrong as we were clearly done! We were not done. We were still eating our dessert and hoping for a coffee refill which was never offered. She offered no apology of any kind. Fabulous food, but I guess house policy is eat and get out! We will not be returning.

A Cozy Gem in Atlanta!

By Kristin T |

Great restaurant with amazing and unique dishes! I dined at Pasta Da Pulcinella just this week with my husband and three teen-aged children. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken cannelloni - Italian crepes stuffed with chicken, spinach and ricotta topped with tomato basil sauce and a Gorgonzola mushroom sauce - amazing! We also had the Parma prosciutto & fresh pears served with field greens and balsamic vinaigrette. The balsamic is to die for! Plus the service was wonderful - if you are in Atlanta please stop by this cozy and hip Italian gem!

A quaint little place that has great food

By TandS |

A great little place in an old house. We sat outside, while the area may not be picturesque that did not diminish the experience. Cody, our server, was exceptional and was a perfect blend of conservationist and doing his job. He suggested wonderful tips on the wine selection along with knowing the ingredient and amounts on the dishes (one in the party had a cream allergy) The food was great. Calamari appetizers (maranera sauce was very tasty) and the house special and pastas where perfect. While at fist glance it appeared the portions were smaller (maybe due to plate size) we did find them filling. Definitely would return when in neighborhood

One of Atlanta's best restaurants

By RandiFayeC |

I rarely eat carbs but the pasta here is worth it - lots of vegetarian choices, excellent servers (our server had a big personality). We also splurged on dessert - chocolate cake, peach sorbet, creme brulee and tiramisu - they were all excellent. Prices are very reasonable, we sat outside and it was very pleasant. My son (Atlanta resident) tells me it can be noisy from the club next door on Saturday nights.

HIdden Gem

By travelbugs53 |

Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and it did not disappoint. It is a quaint Italian restaurant on a side street. We had reservations and were seated right away. Though the room we were seated in (toward the back of the restaurant) was fine, the 2 front rooms seemed to have a bit more ambience so I would ask to be seated in one of those next time. We had a personable and attentive server (Carl) who was very knowledgeable and made several recommendations regarding wine and entrees. They were spot-on. We ordered the shrimp with black and white linguini and the "chef-enhanced" pasta with Bolognese, offered as an alternative to the entree listed on the menu, using spinach fettucine instead of the tagliatelle and offering a heartier sauce. While the enhanced dish was delicious, it would have been nice to compare it to the standard/un-enhanced dish, since it came with a $9 up-charge…so I can’t say whether the enhancement was worth it because we didn’t have both. Food came out very quickly, which was fine since we had a show to attend. But if we hadn’t, I would have liked a more leisurely pace. We tried the chocolate cheesecake and the cannoli for dessert. They were fine but nothing special. All in all, we had a great experience with the food, wine, and service and will definitely come back.

Like having dinner with the relatives

By Wendy M |

Had never been here before. A friend met me for dinner. Fell in love with this place in an instant. Small and quaint. Made it feel like I was having dinner with the family. Tables are close together but you don't even realize there are people beside you. Food was fabulous. Wait staff is incredible. Felt like I had known them forever. I would recommend you put this on the list to try.

Terrible Service

By N M |

Website says open till 11pm, after we sat down at 930,we were told the kitchen closed in 15 minutes. Very bad service, we were rushed through the whole meal.

Tasty but LOUD

By WenOnTheRoad |

I enjoyed the look of this place so stopped in. It's quaint and lovely in many ways EXCEPT the sound level. Not even some muzak to soften the blow of it. Even when front room emptied to just three tables and a couple at the bar it was still UGH. Good food and wine, nicely priced. Just consider reserving outdoor space.

Very good food, service ok, parking challenging

By Michael M |

Lunchtime experience was generally good from the food perspective, and the staff attentive. The bread was very good though the accompanying olive oil bland. The house red wine (by the glass for $5 at lunch) was serviceable. The pasta with bolognese sauce was really very good, and very reasonably priced. The parking situation is far more challenging? with no valet or street parking, only pay lots ($8!) nearby. If one is already nearby and parked, good to consider. Not so much as a destination in and of itself...

5star food and service - perfect for my 50th birthday get the Tortelli di Mele

By shellythecritic |

5star service and food - perfect for my birthday! - the pasta was fresh, different menu than the standard, good prices, service was on point - filling my glass and removing my dishes quickly. They said they've had the same chef for over 20+ years. Parking all around available but it will be a short walk. I am usually not a sweet with savory person and did not want to try the dish (Tortelli di Mele) with apples and sausage BUT its their signature dish and did not disappoint. I would get it again. Everyone tried a different dish and all were pleased. We had the creme brulee and layered chocolate cake for dessert and they were good as well.

Amazing!

By scottdellis |

A fantastic experience. Do yourself a favor and get the asparagus & prosciutto app to start, the Granny Smith apple and sausage ravioli as the main, and Tiramisu (and Oban) to finish it off. Wow. Just as important and amazing as the food was the service. A top notch dining experience. Just do it!

Good food, but...

By Jim W. |

This was our first visit to Pasta da Pulcinella since they re-opened in a new location - a house on West Peachtree Street. It is larger than their prior location. We walked in and spoke with the hostess. After a bit of confusion about our reservation with a side helping of attitude, we got shown to a dining room a bit further back. There were 8 tables, of which 7 were empty – a couple occupies just one table and we took up another one. No one else showed up while we ate and we and the other table were paying our checks at roughly the same time in order to leave. Now, if the restaurant is booked solid later and have no tables for walk-ins, I can completely understand being a bit picky about reviewing reservation status. However, if you have 7 empty tables for this hour (and probably more elsewhere), why would you not be happier to get paying customers to come in? The experience was really off-putting and, despite how much I like one of their dishes, I doubt I'll go back now.

Not what we had expected

By Carol D |

Packed house.. noisy but excited to have a delicious dinner. Husbands salad arrived mine didn’t finally flagged waiter to inquire.. was yummy. Main course was not hot and we did not find them delicious... and at that point room was so crowded people waiting for tables were standing towering next to us.. Too bad think we just hit it on a bad night?

Great Italian food!

By CSSS |

We ate here before going to a concert at the Atlanta Symphony Hall (walking distance!). This place is so cute! We sat on the patio and loved the atmosphere. Everything was delicious! The bread was a nice touch to begin the meal. I got a veggie linguine dish and my husband got the ravioli that had apple in it- I know that sounds crazy but it was delicious! We got a fried ravioli appetizer that was so very good. I highly recommend eating here! And bonus, our waiter was super nice and had great recommendations for the menu!

Real Neighborhood Italian

By Barbara R |

Wow! We had an amazing meal. Joseph was a terrific server with just the right amount of attentiveness. The menu had a great variety of selections. Everything we had was delicious! Definitely look closely at the specials. My hubby had Black Pepper Gnocchi. Wow! It was unbelievably amazing. I had classic linguini with sausage. The linguini was hand-made and the dish was delicious. We will definitely return.

I have made the reservation by opentable. When we arrive on time they told us we have to wait outside because there were a delay with the person that was made the reservation by open table. We have to wait outside with 32 F more than 30 minutes. It was freezing!!! the place was very noicy and the attendand was very kind but not the same with the other auxiliar. I share a main course with my husband and they give me a bread plate for me. The website dont shows the real prices. It is more expensive.. I don t recommend it at all.

Amazing

Where do I BEGIN!! We are vegan (Vegan VEGAN) our server went and found a vegan server to fully understand our needs. We left it up to the chef to “surprise” us. Hubby had red sauce I had garlic. I never EVER clean my plate and always need a doggie bag ... NOT TONIGHT. Drinks were made to perfection and the dessert was delectable I think I found our anniversary restaurant

Planning a Return Visit

By 513dan |

Out of town guests were staying at the Marriott Suites and really just wanted to find something close that we could walk to. Found Pasta Da Pulcinalla on a search. We were all floored by this place. Dining were my wife, our 2 girls (17 and 20) and my sister and her husband (from Florida). Something on the menu for all of us and the food was excellent, from appetizers to the main course (no room for dessert) and the wine selection was very good, as well. Also a big part of our overall enjoyment was our waiter, Robin. His accent, his smile, his "can do" attitude.....all winners. My wife and I will be taking other guests there as they come through town.

Great choice in Midtown - excellent food, drinks, and service

By PeytonM |

Great spot in midtown! We enjoyed a great dinner - in a very comfortable and relaxed environment. The vibe is fun, the menu is not overly expensive. Our appetizer (asparagus with prosciutto) was excellent - and our pasta Tortelli di Mele (Round ravioli filled with Granny Smith apple, sausage, and parmigiano) was amazing! Food, drinks, and service were all excellent! We will be back next time we are in Midtown!

Consistently great.

Great Italian, Great Wine and Great Food

By AtlRealtor |

My boyfriend and I love to try new places for date night. Since both of us are big fans of Italian, we decided to give this place a try. We both really enjoyed the patio seating, the food was worthy of a second visit and prices were fair. If you live in Atlanta or just visiting, this place is worth it. *The Italian Sausage...YUM!*

This is a hidden Jewel

By claudettep393 |

I am so impressed by this place. First let me say the staff gives you 100% of great service. The lunch menu is outstanding, trying to try everything on the menu its hard. nothing bad yet. The chef has a way with cooking and it comes out in his food. We go twice a week and that is saying a lot with so many choices in midtown to eat.

Quaint Italian restaurant

By GailLAMBERT |

Looking for somewhere downtown/midtown Atlanta, not to fancy and found this cute little restaurant with lots of charm. Food was delicious. At first look we were interested in several dishes, but the actual dishes were full of flavor. We had calamari which was a little chewy for my liking; the proscuittio and pear with field greens was delicious. Then we had the signature dish - tortelli di mele - awesome! My husband loved it. I had the special tortellini wiht salmon, spinach and tomatoes with creamy curry sauce which was delicate and light. My son had the chicken ravioli which was also delicious. A refreshing change from the chains and hotel restaurant found downtown.

Quite good, a bit hidden

By John Dyer |

Had lunch there today, first time back in a while due to the thing. Very good lunch, very very good, we missed going there. We dine out quite a bit and don't go anywhere that isn't good (duh). We'll be back soon, open for lunch now latter part of the week, try it.

Excellent options Excellent staff

By robinwil1949 |

Have eaten here before, years ago. Better than ever. We came in very late for our reserved time. We called in and alerted them that we were in traffic and that we had a play to go to. Came in and a table awaited us in a nearly full house. But the best part was Cole, our very likable and attentive server, followed closely by EXCELLENT salad and entrees. Fungi ravioli, Chilean sea bass, sausage and green apple ravioli and house linguini, salad and melt in your mouth bread options were all perfectly presented and tasty. Suggested wine options were well matched as well. Highly recommend this well located Midtown Atlanta restaurant. Parking might be an issue. Plan for it.

Delicious!

I loved everything about this restaurant. Our server, Hannah, was such a lovely host! The risotto and tortellini did not disappoint. The highlight of the meal was dessert, Lemon Sorbet served in a frozen lemon! I will highly recommend and dine here again!

Incredible Restaurant

By Happy Anniversary to US |

We had the best meal. Such an interesting blend of flavors. Our server, Robin, was very helpful in guiding our food choices. Great Food and Great Service for our 40th anniversary. Thanks Pasta Da Pulcinella!

Nice Dinner

By Esimonso |

We went out for a dinner here when staying in the city, packed at 6:30 on a rainy night. Both of us started with a small salad, $5 each. I had the house special ravioli and it was excellent, they had to bring extra cream as it was fairly dry to start. Wife had the pasta and veggies, very fresh. Chocolate cake and a vanilla gelato for dessert, $7 & $4 respectively. Both were good and for city dining fair prices. Add 3 glasses of wine $8 each, tax and tip, out the door for $100. Would recommend if you’re in the area.

Great dinner. Super service.

By VWMAYER |

Great dinner. Super service, too! Waited (guy with shaded glasses) was super helpful in creating a wonderful gf pasta dish for me!

An absolute must!

By Wendy W |

Wow. Wow wow Wow! This was my second visit here, and unbelievable but true, it was even better than the first. Their signature ravioli dish (with extra sauce) is delicious and filling. The ambience, the service, the wine list, the food, the dessert...all worth coming back for. Yes, this is a must!

Tiramisu Mmm!

By Veronica H |

This is my go to restaurant when in Atlanta. I start with the house salad which features a tasty, thick balsamic dressing and end with a beautiful, delicious tiramisu. Great service even for a solo diner.

Family Owned Italian Restaurant in Mid-Town Atlanta

By swanee99 |

This was a restaurant suggested by our daughter, a mid-town resident. For our dinner, I selected the tortelli di mele - one of their specialties. It was so delicious, I ate every bite. My wife and daughter both had a daily special, which they both enjoyed. The wine list was great, they have outdoor seating, and the service was wonderful.

60th in the ATL

By Migdalia R |

Converted home into a restaurant. It is very cozy and romantic. The rooms are separated by curtains. There is a patio with fire pits but it was too cold to eat outside. I requested a table with lots of space between tables. We were lead into a room in the back with 6 tables and seated in a corner with one empty table between us and the next diners. I felt fine until the other tables around us were seated and 4 out of the 6 tables were occupied. The space felt crowded at one point when two servers and the busboy walked into the room at the same time. I put my mask back on since I was done with my meal and waiting for dessert. The food was excellent. I ordered the tagliatelli with ragu sauce and my husband ordered the fettucini with jumbo shrimp. I got a complimentary tiramisu since it was my birthday. It was divine. We had the eggplant appetizer with roasted eggplant and a mixed salad. It was very tasty. I would highly recommend a visit.

By zieniekie |

To start off, the food was honestly amazing. Our issue was the lack of social distancing towards the end of our meal. We made a reservation because we were told they would be limiting the amount of guests, and that was true when we first arrived. They had marked off tables to not be used to implement social distancing, and we felt very comfortable. About 20 minutes later, it became obvious they had overbooked. They began to remove the signs and set tables that were literally right next to us. I actually had trouble getting out of my seat when we were trying to leave because I was so close to another woman. Overall, it just made us feel really unsafe, so we didn’t order dessert and left as soon as we finished our meal.

Excellent Cuisine, Service Zero

By DKCAtlanta |

I’ve liked this restaurant since it’s beginnings on Peachtree and followed it to its current location. The food has always been good. Tonight’s dinner was delicious but the service was a zero. Our waiter took the order and never returned. Kitchen staff brought out the food and the waiter never checked back in until we were finished. So much for the wine we had told him we wanted to order.

Outstanding!

By Rogerandandy |

I organized a dinner for myself and 9 colleagues while visiting Atlanta from Toronto. Everyone loved the intimate setting, the delicious food (the lobster ravioli was outstanding), and the server Robin was engaging, funny, and attentive.

Nice friendly folks & tasty flavors in a cute Italian place.

By mrtravelingpat |

From the moment we walked in the smell of great Italian food was gently drifting throughout the place. I ordered a Long Island ice tea, house cabernet with the meal, and my wife ordered just water but sipped from my drinks. She wasn't very hungry and ordered the trout which had a light tasty sauce but was a little overcooked. I ordered a cesear salad and something new to me: chicken manicotti served in a crepe instead of noodles with a marinara sauce over the back side and a delicious cream sauce with wild mushrooms poured over the front half. Great decision! I'd love to eat that again. My wife agreed I'd made the better choice since we shared our entrées. Service by a handsome waiter who, I think, was named Paul Wadsworth was great. Just enough friendly attention with lots of other staff clearing plates, filling water, and delivering food. All in all: a nice dinner with good ambiance. They've got valet parking - $25 I think- but we got there with an Uber which was easy in the area. On line web site said we'd have to wait a hour or more to get a table but we called and the guy on the phone said just come on we'll fit you in. Our arrival about 7:15 on a wed- there were several tables available both inside and outside.

delicious romantic dinner

This place was the highlight of our Atlanta trip. Highly recommend the tagliatelle bolognese. Our server was very knowledgeable. The atmosphere is quaint and adorable and very romantic - perfect for date night. We will be back!!

Wonderful Birthday Celebration Dinner

By njoireading247 |

We wanted to go Italian for a birthday dinner and somewhere that was new to us. This was a great choice for us. We had 5 people in the party and we were never rushed, the food arrived just as we wanted it to, and the service was amazing. The calamari was very flavorful and lightly fried. The cocktails were mixed well, and the wine we choose complemented our meal. All the entrees were good or very good. The lemon sorbert was tasty and refreshing, and the creme brulee was very good. Definitely make a reservation!

First time visiting- going to be regulars!

By Stan C |

Just wow! Great food, service excellent, bartender was a ‘hoot’ and overall our first visit to the new location was a hit! We’ll be coming back! We were so pleased with the prices - most everything is out of control with inflation but this place was very reasonable!

Don't hesitate: A+

By classicaphilia |

Excellent in every respect, and a substantial bargain given today's Atlanta restaurant prices. Antipasti, salads, main dishes, and dessert were all delicious. One of us had a chocolate martini that was greatly enjoyed. The Super Tuscan bottle of wine was terrific. Service was perfect. This would be our Restaurant of the Year for 2024.

Pasta!!

By dmfpru93 |

The pasta is fresh, homemade and delicious! If you like pasta, you’ll love this menu! The lemon sorbet for dessert was delicious as well!

Nice outdoor seating!

By Kayla_Praskievicz |

I found this place on here prior to a trip to Atlanta with my boyfriend. The place is pretty small so always make a reservation. The homemade seasonal pasta was so delicious and there were many great options on the wine list. The service was great and the staff are all very friendly.

Excellent Midtown Restaurant

By Dennis B |

This is an excellent Midtown restaurant, near one of the theaters. The atmosphere is cozy and pleasant. Seating is comfortable and easy to have conversation. The menu has good choices. We focused on Italian pasta dishes. Their unique ravioli, the spinach bolognese, and the shrimp were are terrific. We did have a flatbread and bread with olive oil to start. The wine menu has nice offering from Italy and a few California choices. The service was courteous and attentive. He made certain we finished in time to go to the theater. They have a quaint bar if you arrive early. They provide Valet parking.

what a wonderful dinner

By NancyCarolLifton1995 |

Four of had a reservation on a recent Thursday evening. The service was great, the food was delicious, and wine list easy to navigate and affordable. My only dislike of the entire evening was the size of the table. Try this place!

Electric Italian Restaurant

By ThomAtlanta |

Pasta Da Pulcinella is an excellent restaurant in Midtown Atlanta. It has a cosmopolitan vibe that you would find in the neighborhoods in The Northeast. Veal/chicken/pasta dishes are all excellent. Service is personable, friendly, engaging. A nice place to take visitors

Couples night out

By Stan C |

Good food - nice ambiance, small cozy bar. Food was very good as expected, friendly staff, drinks were good and reasonable- def coming back.

Lovely!

By Jenny C |

We had a delicious Italian meal on the patio at this lovely place. The food was amazing! The staff was attentive and we enjoyed it all around!

Great food and atmosphere!

By Carol A |

Grilled asparagus appetizer was excellent. Their tortellini is amazing. We found the chicken parmigiana a bit salty but we don’t use salt when we cook so we are probably more sensitive to it. Service was excellent. We sat outside in the back. The weather was beautiful, the food and service was excellent. Enjoyed an amazing dinner and would definitely recommend this restaurant

One of the Best Italian Restaurants Anywhere!

By Jaybo81 |

We ate here while in Atlanta on business. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this quaint little Italian restaurant. We started our meal with a “Little Italy” cocktail and bread. We followed that with Caesar salads, which were wonderful. For the main course I had the lobster ravioli and my wife had the chicken tortellini. Both entrees were amazing. Finally, we wrapped up with coffees and crème brûlée. Our dinner here was wonderful. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It is one of the best Italian restaurants anywhere.

Exceeded Expectations, very good Italian Food

By grainfreefoodie |

My husband, my daughter, and I ate here on a Friday night. The restaurant was full. However, the service was very good. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful with our questions about the food. My husband is now on a gluten free diet so he got the veal with roasted potatoes and spinach. The meat was well seasoned. I had the Mahi mahi with olives and the truffled mash potato. The fish was fresh and the tomato and olives sauce really complemented the taste. Our daughter had the chicken caneloni and cheesecake for dessert. She really enjoy both of her choices.

Love the Food!

By Maryann |

Being Italian, it is hard to impress me with food. This restaurant will be a favorite! The waitress was friendly and informative! Super romantic restaurant in a old house! Meat ravioli was perfect!

Always a great choice! I took

By trueworldtraveler |

Always a great choice! I took my sister and her boyfriend to this restaurant tonight and we sat on the patio and had an excellent dinner at the end of an excellent visit. We had the chicken special, the pumpkin ravioli (amaaaazing), Caesar salad and the prosciutto appetizer. For dessert we had the tiramisu, cheesecake and chocolate cake. We loved it all! And our waiter, Robin, selected the right wine for me to accompany the ravioli and was extremely attentive and charming. Overall it was simply a 10 out of 10. They never disappoint me! I’ll be back. Some days by myself and other days with family and/or friends. It’s simply that good!

Good find

By Tom B |

We really like Southern Italian themed food( pasta items in red sauce are popular). My wife had tagliatelle verde bolonese. Spinach pasta with a meat sauce. I had lingine in the same sauce. I had exactly the same dish in Vicenza last year and they were very close. In Italy they are more sparing with the ragu, I actually prefer more sauce. Excellent and authentic flavor, if you assume the restaurants in Italy are correct. Bolanese is an American invention, if you go to Bologna in Italy they win’t know what you are talking about of laugh at you.

Great Italian food!

By LG4KL |

This is a great Italian restaurant with fantastic food and very good service. I had the sea bass and it was excellent, probably top 10 ever for sea bass. The Tiramisu was top notch. I’m coming back!

Build-your-own-pasta-dish…Amazing

By Daniel Bates |

Italian cuisine at its finest and reasonably priced. Loved the build-your-own-pasta-dish option and had the garlic cream sauce, vegetables, grilled chicken, and Italian sausage all in one dish. Amazing. And not terribly expansive at all. Also shared a ravioli appetizer with cream sauce and sausage that could have served as a meal unto itself. Wow. The waitstaff were attentive, and the atmosphere quaint and comfortable but still perfect for a business dinner. I would recommend getting reservations, though, as the restaurant filled up quickly, inside and on the attractive front patio. Great experience!

Always amazing!!

By Steven D |

We've been going to Pasta Da Pulcinella for years and have always loved this little restaurant! Being in an old house the atmosphere is cozy, the servers are always top notch, and the food never, ever disappoints! I recently recommended this restaurant for a business customer dinner and received rave reviews from my co-workers and customers. Don't miss the Lobster Ravioli...simply the best!

wonderful dinner with a group

By Ciderhouse95 |

This is wonderful Italian and great for a group of people. We eat here at least once during Market. It's consistently a good meal and great service.

Awesome family Italian restaurant

By Jonathan M |

Few things I enjoy more in casual dining than an old home converted into a restaurant, especially Italian! If you’re looking for plenty of elbow room and quiet, this is not for you. If you are looking for some incredible food, service, reasonable prices on both food and wine - this is your place.

Valentines price fixe

By GitchSup |

We made a reservation for Valentines knowing it would be a busy night. The restaurant is on the small site with wonderful fresh made food, so of course, it was packed. We arrived a little early so we got drinks from the bar before being seated. For Valentines day they had a price fixe menu with some beautiful options. I ordered their house specialty, the Tortelli di Mele and my husband ordered the Tagliatelle Verdi Alla Bolognese. We both got the Tiramisu, mine came split on the top so the presentation was off, but the flavor was spot on! A nice spot with great food and wonderful service. If we are ever in Atlanta again we will stop in for a meal, we left happy and full.

Excellent

Extremely friendly and great food , pasta dishes were particularly delicious, Will definitely return

Delicious!

By ramblinggirl67 |

My mom and I were staying at a hotel across the street so this was a very convenient dinner option. We had been here once before, a few years ago. We had a lovely evening with a fantastic server and our food was delicious. We would definitely return in the future. Only complaint would be that I didn’t like my apple martini as it unexpectedly had caramel in it. Everything else was wonderful!

Absolutely fabulous! Thoroughly

By BigFan22 |

Absolutely fabulous! Thoroughly enjoyed the service from Benjamin and the food was phenomenal! The mushroom ravioli and cheese tortellini were spectacular...and were authentic Italian pasta dishes! Don’t think twice about booking a reservation here...it’s a great choice!!!!
