Let's start the positive. Pasta Vino is a well-run family-friendly place. It's more substance and less sizzle than many of the other nearby restaurants. The pizza is pretty good, appetizers are generally fine and there's a nice patio area outside. Unfortunately, many of the main courses are mediocre. Chicken dishes are dry and not very flavorful. The pasta is OK, but sauces are hit or miss. This is a good option if you have kids or live nearby, but hold your expectations in check.

We have lived in this area for 20 years and watched this shopping center being built, rent to promising businesses, but gradually lose most of them, go vacant and remain empty. Through it all, this little restaurant stayed open. And the parking lot, though mostly vacant, always had cars in front of this tiny restaurant each night. Our curiosity finally led us to see why they were still in business. The food was fantastic. Great choices, imaginative specials and realistic portion sizes. Extensive wine list. Our waiter made the experience perfect. The restaurant serves gluten-free noodles, but they were out that particular night. He made several substitute suggestions quickly and worked closely with me to be sure my needs were met. If I could have licked the plate clean, I would have. The scampi sauce was the best I've ever had. Everyone at the table raved about their meal; we will all be back. Larry, our waiter, was one of the best waiters we've ever had. Half of our party grew up in the Bronx, only a street away from where Larry had lived. They enjoyed exchanging stories throughout the meal. One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had.

We eat there 3 or 4 times a year when we visit family in the neighborhood. I've ordered half a dozen different items from the menu and never been disappointed. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating and the menu is broad enough to satisfy a variety of tastes.

Good food, above average service, small so can be noisy. Like everything I have had there. Call for reservation or at peak times expect a wait.

Our daughter lives in the area so we decided to stop here after our original evening dinner plans had changed. We were so glad we did. We were able to eat on the patio under a big umbrella. The wait staff were very friendly and the food was great. The wife and daughter had salads while I had a pasta dish and a glass of the house red. Easy parking too! Nice local spot.

I ordered lunch for myself and my boss to be pick up at 1:30 pm. I arrived at 1:33 pm order not ready. No big deal! The owner gives me the food and I told him it was incomplete. He then tells me that is correct. I said no I am the one who placed the order on the phone with you. Owner wanted to clearly go back and forth with me. He finally has the pasta made as I ordered. Here comes the total I told him that was the wrong charge for the pasta because of what is posted on his website. Again he wanted to go back and forth. We will never eat here again and we tell our guest not to eat here. Being nice doesn't cost anything BUT being Rude cost you customers which equals money for you business. First and last time eating at this place and to top it off food wasn't good. We paid for garlic knots received regular bread. I guess he thought we could taste the difference. The kitchen cook who brought me my food was very nice he should be at your front desk!

First visit with my wife last night turned out to be a memorable experience. The staff was very helpful and surprisingly responsive; 3 staff members serviced our table (My dining pet peeves include finished dishes taking up space and half empty drink glasses) . My chicken parm was perfect (covered with cheese, fresh herbs, tender chicken) . My wife finished the gnocci with shrimp and capers, only sharing one bite with me (the caper/gnocchi mix proved to be a nice counterbalance) . Next followed the tiramisu; To Die For. I'm telling everyone to give this fantastic restaurant a visit.

My family has made two trips to Pasta Vino since July, 2010. The restaurant is conveniently located in a Buckhead shopping center on Peachtree Road/Street and the food is good to very good, but far from excellent. Frankly, I wasn't that impressed with my first visit, but sometimes location and convenience are more important that a excellent dining experience. We made a second visit in October 2010 and I was very pleased with my dinner. Compared to other Italian restaurants in the area Pasta Vino is more of a "budget" destination, but not by much. Our cost for three dinners with water was $52.38 pre-tip. Service was very good and the outside dining is a major plus when the weather permits. I think the restaurant has a long successful history at this location so that speaks volumes for quality and consistency. Overall, I recommend Pasta Vino and will return when in the area.

The food here is good, maybe not great, but good. The service is good, but sometimes the tenured staff can be a little demanding. It is a neighborhood standard. There has definitely been a concentrated effort to raise this establishment from pizza house to dining local...i.e. higher prices, but nicer decor. Wait is not ridiculous and overall a friendly, neighborhood decent restau

Pasta Vino on Peachtree Road in Atlanta is a great place to go for delicious and well prepared Italian food in a relaxed and cool atmosphere. I really like their menu and different fresh selections that they have available here. I have had a really good experience every time I have been here.

We thought the food was pretty good, meatballs were in fact excellent. The place is small which suits us perfectly, service was good as was the pricing. First time we had been here in several years and not much has changed, will come back and try some other dishes,---nice break from Olive Garden type Italian restaurants. Not as good as Frankie's or Scallini's in Cobb County but then again it's not as noisy either.

The pasta and pizza are amazing also a excellent wine list ! We have dined here 3 times and always excellent!!! The rigatoni with sausage and meatball shows that the person making it loves food ! Only prob was I couldn’t get the recipe for there sauce!lol

Used to be a regular customer when place opened 20+ years ago because it's only 2 blocks from home. Went again last night, figured I would try it again since one of my favorite Italian places closed last year (Alfredo's). Had the Chicken Marsala over spaghetti. Sauce too sweet, like they used sugar sweet, not reduced Marsala wine sweet. Chicken not good almost like it was not really fresh, kind of meely texture. Pasta not al dente, undercooked and a little crunchy. Had the Caprese salad, small portion for $8 was skimpy. Glass of house wine for $8 was awful, really had a strong tang to it, bleh. Have to say it is always crowded, service was good, efficient, food came out fast. Am I missing something?

Pasta Vino is a great local Alpharetta restaurant we have been going to for a number of years and they have all the favorite Italian dishes and great pizza too. They do however, have a dish that stands out above all the rest and really is something special. They are serving Flounder Francaise and it is a truly remarkable dish. Butter and lemon sauce served over spinach makes me want more. We get the Caesar salad and the garlic knot rolls to round out the meal. A glass of wine and you are in for a great dining experience! And on Wednesdays they have a $5 martini special. Bella!

Food was horrible nothing else needs to be said. Stouffer's is better. Had mussels the absolute worst hands down steamed until rubber band consistency and lemon juice overload. Spaghetti with meatballs full of fillers and just down right awful. I expected real italian food.

This was the worst service and worst food I have ever eaten in 52 yrs of living in Atlanta GA, DO NOT GO HERE!! Our veal was so tough we could not even cut it with the knife , dry stale bread, had to beg for water and waited 30 min., before anyone even acknowledged us to take our order, and then the food was horrible, dry VEAL, tasted like an old pork chop !

My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch.i chose the lasagna and my wife had the baked ziti. The service was good, the meals were both very good and modestly priced. We will likely stop again.

We stumbled upon Pasta Vino seeking a casual, italian restaurant. Their food is delicious! This is the best spaghetti sauce that I have ever had and the bread is wonderful. I loved the quaint atmosphere as we sat outside on the patio. The inside of the restaurant is very charming as well. Service was sporadic. I ordered a glass of wine and never got it. Customer service is definetly not important to them but the great food and atmosphere makes up for it! I highly recommend it.

We ate here on a Thursday night, around 7:30 pm. The place was nearly packed when we entered and it smelled very nice in the restaurant (normally a good sign). We were seated quickly and the waiter came by to get our drink order. We started with the garlic knots (terrific!). For appetizers we both had a caprese salad. My dining partner said it was the best she's had since Italy. I thought it was quite good too. For entrees, my dining partner stuck with a traditional chicken parm and I upgraded to a veal saltimbocca. We both agreed that my upgrade was completely worth it and easily the best entree. The chicken parm was fine but what can you really do with chicken parm? We had a restaurant.com dining cheque for $25 (now you can use these paperless with iPhones!). The server brought it back and included a tip of 20% of the original total (which is perfectly fine in my book), however there was a tip section on the receipt and he didn't bother to tell me that the tip of 20% was already included. Sly. But I didn't fall for it. This is a nice neighborhood spot where the prices are moderate and the food is very nice, although not high end amazing (much like Violette's on Clairmont Rd.) . It has a niche.

On my visit last Friday to Pasta Vino, It was a delithful experience, the food, the atmosphere, the server this name is Antonio very friendly and efficient he really went out of his way to make us feel very confortable. we definitelly recomend this restaurant to any one who like good food in the Atlanta area. I travel a lot for business, and I like cooking, food, and wine, and I have seen a lot over the years. I found this place by accident as I was looking for a place to eat in Buckhead. I live in Toronto, that has a population of 400,000 italians, and more restaurants than Milan. I find this restaurant fantastic! The decor is beautiful, the bench in the patio very cozy. The service was efficient, although could be a little bit friendlier. The food was exceptional. A basket of fresh bread, an incredible meat lasagna, probably the best I ever tasted! I had a Tiramisu for dessert that was good, tasty. I had excellent wine from Tuscany, a Chianti by the glass. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant. I went on a week day and it was full, with a varied crowd, of older patrons, tourists, families with children. Everybody was having an excellent time. Cheer for great food!

I haven't been here for a while. The homemade chips in the basket as you enter are still great. My wife has a half Caesar salad, which was very good. The hot rolls they brought to the table were amazing. I had the linguini with white clam sause. Plenty of clam but the sauce was not very good. It was watery. My wife had the meatballs & spaghetti. She didn't like the meatballs, too much filler. We asked for more bread & got a different type of bread which was not as good as the original bread we we're served. Overall we were disappointed in our meal. Our server Johir was very good.

This is a very homey, delicious, cheap Italian restaurant. Saturday nights the special is gnocchi that melts in your mouth. Even the basic spaghetti with red sauce makes my mouth salivate. I don't eat fish much, but the grouper with white wine caper sauce (which is never on the menu, but usually a special) is delicious.

We have been to this restaurant a number of times (locals), we would recommend it for good Italian food, at a reasonable price, with friendly attentive service. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, family friendly, and lively enough to entertain. Haven't had a bad meal there, and keep going back. In the heart of Buckhead, in Peachtree Battle shopping center.

Traveling with the family and in the Buckhead area, I have had trouble finding suitable places to dine. We decided to give Pasta Vino a try. It was a little hard to find as it's located on the lower level of a strip mall, in the back. Once inside we were immediately seated and waiter took orders. My kids (7 year olds) thought it was great that he took their drink order first. The service was a little hit/miss. The server was attentive but would disappear after taking drink orders. It's a smaller establishment, so I'm not sure where he went. Ordering went off easily and they'll substitute sauces etc. to your liking (my daughter, for example, prefers pink sauce). After ordering, the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food is the star here and was very good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. My eggplant parmigiana was really good and prepared a little different than usual. Here they slice it thinly and roll it (almost like a rollatini). I don't think you can go wrong here. The prices are moderate and it was busy the Friday night we visited. Seems like lots of locals visits here (a good sign). Overall, a really nice find in the area.

With a name that begins with PASTA, one would assume that this is their specialty. Two of us had two different pasta dishes, linguine with clams and linguine with salmon- both dishes were inedible. There were four of us at dinner, and the server brought two dinners a good 5 minutes before the other two. Bad food and poor service. We are spoiled by our frequent trips to Italy where it is difficult to have a bad meal. That said, this did not even meet the standard set by Italian chain restaurants.

A friend had been telling me to visit for years, and I finally made it happen in early January. Have been back about six times since. Great food in a smallish restaurant with a neighborhood feel although it's located in a busy shopping center just off Peachtree Road. (Plenty of parking, and hallelujah! No valet!) The garlic knots are inexpressibly divine, and the baked ziti is way way up there too, its portion generous enough to split into two very satisfying meals. Lots of "old Atlanta" feel and interesting conversations going on around.

This place has awesome Italian food and a nice atmosphere. My husband always gets the goat cheese and apple ravioli, it is a little on the sweet side, but fabulous. I get the chicken parmesan and it is excellent as well. The bread and pizza are to die for!! Food is very reasonably priced and service is great. Neat place for a romantic dinner or dinner with friends.

The only reason I rated this restaurant as high as I did is because the garlic knots are wonderful (but they cost extra). When we were there, it was nowhere near closing time and there were only 2 other tables occupied, yet the service was rushed, impersonal, and almost rude. Our server only seemed to want to go on break. The food was very bland and just not very good. I'd recommend any old Italian chain restaurant over Pasta Vino. At least it was relatively cheap so we didn't waste too much money.

Pasta Vino serves very fresh traditional Italian food. It is a superb neighborhood restaurant. We visit there often and enjoy the friendly courteous service

Had a relatively nice dinner; however, the waiter took 4 tries to light our candles, our pasta was served lukewarm and they never refilled our water glasses.

We love Pasta Vino, great neighborhood Italian comfort food. The vibe is casual / friendly and tried and true, not trendy. The servers and kitchen staff have been there forever and are always there to please. I recommend the Chicken Marsala with angel hair pasta or the Lamb Bolognese.

Hidden on the back side of a building off Atlanta's busiest road, Pasta Vino is a new favorite of ours when we're in the area. The staff has been there for ages, and knows nearly everyone who comes in, which tells me people return time and time again...and we certainly will as well, now that we've found the place! The food is excellent, and you'll have to get a refill on rolls! There is a good selection of very good wines, but the only slight downside is they are a little high in price on these good wines. If not for that, there would be five stars on this review for certain! As it is, I still give it 4.5! They have outdoor dining, which is fun and relaxed, and a more intimate indoor setting to choose from for those romantic date nights.

A charming little neighborhood place, with friendly staff and very good Italian food in the middle of Buckhead. Small, but good wine list and yummy homemade desserts. I took my family there for a night out and it really worked well for us. My Lobster Ravioli was quite good, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The atmosphere was just right for a family candlelit dinner.

Family tradition --- the Birthday person can chose any restaurant they want --- and year after year my choice is Pasta Vino! Never had a bad meal there & the atmosphere is relaxing & staff super friendly. This year we sat outside at the larger wooden table & although I almost always get the Linguine with White Clam Sauce, I selected the Veal Bolognese with Tagliatelle pasta off the specials menu. As usual, it did not disappoint! This is one of our family's favorite dining spots & has been for over 15+ years.

When my wife and I were young, we used to visit this place when we went downtown (mid 1990's). So many of the businesses we used to go to have long since gone away, but this place remains. It is a small place, not quite a hole-in-the-wall, but cozy. The decor has changed over the years and is a lot more formal looking than I remember it being. But the food is still great. The menu has a lot Italian items on it, and they have specials as well. Not that I like seafood, but the lobster stuffed ravioli sounded interesting to my wife. We were seated right away (early dinner), and the service was prompt. They brought us some bread which was coated in some garlic sauce. We had the garlic knots which have been one of my favorites there for years. My wife had (and devoured) the eggplant parm. I had two slices of the Bologna pizza. The bolognese meat sauce was amazing, and made me want to go back and try anything else with it in it. The night my daughter was born, my parents brought me the amazing lasagna to go from here and that made a special night even better. The waiter (Zaman) was very prompt and nice and had a good sense of humor. I have been going here on and off (sadly more off in the last decade) for 19 years and the service and food here has remained great, and the prices seem reasonable for the quality. Not that I have tons of experience, but this is the place I judge any other Italian place by.

You'll pass by this place if you don't know it, but you'd be sad if you did. Always happy people, and down home meals you can count on. It's a local favorite so it gets busy, but worth the wait. It's not fine dining, just great neighborhood pasta dishes and more. When I'm here, this is a must stop

Went last night. We had Eggplant Parmesan and Veal Parmesan. Both meals were good but not out of this world. The problem with this restaurant is not really the food it is the service. The wait staff do not seem to care. We were not offered Parmesan cheese to put on top of our meal. The waiter did not come back to ask if we wanted another beverage, we had to flag him down. The waiter did not follow up to ask how the meal was.

First time at Pasta Vino but will not be the last. As you walk into Pasta Vino please get a plate of the homemade potato chips, they are wonderful. Great selection of salads, pasta dishes and pizza. Excellent service and a good drink selection. Truly an excellent place for dinner. Glad I finally eat here and will be back.

Pasta Vino is located in the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center. It is a casual neighborhood eatery. Nice variety for Lunch and Dinner. Pizza is available by the slice or pie. The FAVORITE pasta dish is the Pappardelle Bolognese, and it is outstanding. The ribbon pasta is very tender and the bolognese has wonderful flavor. The service varies among servers. Overall good value.

Casual, “neighborhood” restaurant. Friendly and efficient service. First, our fried calamari were the best; since, San Francisco. My spaghetti and meatballs were fabulous. My wife, thoroughly, enjoyed her Veal Marsala. ( She subbed the veal, for the chicken.) DEFINITELY. will return.

Had the best Gnoochi pasta, with pink sauce ever in Atlanta in last 40 years living here. Vonda our server made the meal extra enjoyable with her attention to us.

We decided to go here just because we hadn't been to any of the Italian places near our new apartment. Our expectations weren't too high as we were just looking for a decent meal. Our expectations were blown away by how good it was! I'm not sure if we just ordered the best things on the menu, or they were having a particularly good night in the kitchen, but both me and my partner were very impressed and would rank it as one of our top Italian restaurants in the midtown/buckhead area. I had the gnocchi pasta vino, which was perfectly cooked with a great sauce that was a good mix of filling but not too heavy. Gnocchi is easy to mess up, but is one of my favorite dishes when done right, and Pasta Vino certainly passed the test for me. My partner got the goat cheese & apple ravioli which was incredible - sometimes goat cheese can be overpowering, but in the ravioli it was at the perfect strength and quantity. The sauce was quite sweet (possibly too sweet for some), but I found it to be perfect. We also got the seasonal pumpkin cheesecake for dessert, which was a good way to end the meal. Not too rich and not overly heavy on the pumpkin flavor. The bread at the beginning of the meal was quite good also. Service was good - a little hands off, but I prefer it that way. Everything came out in a timely manner. Both the patio and inside of the restaurant had nice decor. Overall a great dinner. We will definitely be coming back frequently now that we live so close by!

It would not have occurred to me to visit a place with such a silly name as Pasta Vino but a friend insisted and I'm glad he did. Our salads and pastas were outstanding! The atmosphere was very comfortable. Service was friendly and professional. Sadly they fell down on dessert as the pistachio cupcake was nearly inedible and the bizarre cheesecake special was too sugary and nothing like cheesecake. Definitely go for the pasta but skip the desserts.

Pasta Vino offers great pasta and other Italian dishes. Good selection of wine. Service is excellent.

Pasta Vino is a delightful little restaurant with outstanding pasta, delicious sauces, generous portions, fresh fish and a wonderful and warm atmosphere. The patio is great during the spring and fall but dining in has its own charm. I love the ravioli - from lobster to goat cheese and apple to pumpkin, it is always wonderful. The fish is always fresh and seasoned just enough. The wine list is good too. The new addition of homemade chips makes any wait worth it! I definitely recommend you go to Pasta Vino.

A very enjoyable lunch at this friendly restaurant in the Heart of Buckhead. The food was delicious and the prices reasonable at least on the lunch menu. I had Linguine Alfredo and I left the place very happy and content.

This is the third time I've been to Pasta Vino. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and pleasant. Always busy. Excellent service. Great pizza. This is a neighborhood restaurant. On a Saturday night I suggest you get there close to when they open. Reasonably priced.

Pasta Vino, in the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center is a favorite of many. I's great with friends, or for families. In the nice weather , there is an outdoor patio that usually is crowded, especially in the summer. Their menu pleases everyone. I love their mussels. Their marinara is garlicky and has lots of fresh Basil The pizza and pasta dishes are great, and they have fresh fish and chicken dishes. The service is usually good unless the patio and inside is overcrowded, and then can get a bit delayed. We've never had a bad experience..enjoy!

We read reviews about this restaurant on TripAdvisor and made a special trip while staying in Buckhead, three miles away. Our hotel concierge asked us why, with so many great restaurants in Buckhead. What we discovered at Pasta Vino was what we had in mind - a neighborhood Italian restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere, great food, and reasonable prices. The eggplant parmesan was incredible. A memorable evening and a nice change of pace on our vacation.

Haven't been here in a long time and used to eat dinner here often with my wife. Stopped by today for lunch when the place I wanted to go to was closed for lunch. I wanted a pizza without cheese and was told they couldn't do that so I ordered a house salad and angel hair pasta with marinara and fresh veggies. The service was super slow- I waited 30 minutes for the entree ( there were only 3 other tables seated and two had entrees) and was told if I was in a rush I should have mentioned it ( if I had thought it would take 30 minutes, I would have mentioned it ). The ingredients were very fresh. However, the salad had way too much dressing and the pasta was in a pool of water (colored red from the marinara) and couldn't have been fully drained. That took away from the taste and enjoyment of the sauce. Normally the garlic knots are great- today, not so. It tasted like the garlic was slightly burned and not up to what I've had before. I doubt I'll go back- too many other choices for good Italian.

The best Italian food have eaten in the state of ga ! All made in house with sauces and breads done well. Will return and highly recommend

Nancy and the crew at pasta Vino have been wonderful over the many years I’ve had the pleasure to visit. It’s always a wonderful experience, always a personal friendly experience.Best Italian food in town!!!

I visited Pasta Vino for the first time with a friend, on her recommendation, on a lovely Sunday evening. We opted to dine outside on the patio. We had a pleasurable evening......service was attentive, our meals were both very nice, and the setting was pleasant enough, considering it is located in a large shopping center. I enjoyed the eggplant lasagna and my friend had a fish/pasta dish. It was a nice place to enjoy a good meal on a beautiful spring evening in Atlanta. I look forward to my next visit.

The folks at pasta Vino are always a step ahead of our dining needs. If we need something the wait staff are always on top of it. It’s a fun casual great place to eat,and the pasta was Heavenly!

We had dinner delivered and enjoyed the Greenville Pizza. We also had an order of sautéed spinach that tasted fine but was the skimpiest portion I’ve ever had from any restaurant in my life.

This place is truly a hidden gym. It's a little hole in the wall in a shopping center but the atmosphere is cozy and nice. The pasta is amazing! We have tried chicken Parmesan, veal Marsala, fettuccine Alfredo and everything was wonderful! We will be back, often!

I really don't know where to start! The location is great. That is all one can say positively regarding this "restaurant" Perhaps the mistake was in making the assumption that this was an Italian restaurant. It was quite obvious that the cook (cannot under any circumstances, call the person a "chef") had never not only set foot in Italy, but had never eaten at an Italian restaurant. The food was putrid. That is the only word to describe the concoction placed in front of each in our party. As an Italian, I am embarrassed to have suggested this property (cannot call it a restaurant) to my invited guests. There is NOTHING Italian about Pasta Vino. The service was atrocious, the waiter never even filled the empty water glasses, nor asked whether we wanted more bread, and as a final insult, just disappeared. Atlanta has so many fine restaurants, and at half the price. My strong recommendation is stay away.Don't waste the money, and consider the affront to your taste buds. They will be very grateful. This is the worst restaurant I have ever had the misfrotune of going to.

Met 8 friends for a birthday. Everyone had been here before except me. They love this place, I did not. Starting with the garlic knots that were raw in the center. Everything is a la carte and entrees are overpriced for the portion. Four entrees had to be sent back because they were cold! The chicken parm was the blandest I've ever tasted. The chicken Marsala had a very watery sauce. The free homemade potato chips were ultra salty. My friends can go back without me. The service was good.

Located in strip mall with easy parking. Nice dining environment. Dinner was with a friend and we ordered different entrees. My chicken with broccoli was floating in a non discript puddle of tasteless liquid. My friend entree was also disappointing. Maybe read some reviews to get an idea of what to order.

Pasta Vino serves traditional Italian dishes in a warm, friendly, casual setting. They have a lovely outdoor patio and a nice indoor dining area as well. What sets this restaurant apart is the staff... they go out of their way to make sure you are happy. We eat here at least twice a month and have never been disappointed. The fresh rolls are to-die-for, the pizza is great, and all the chicken and veal entrees are delicious. I am personally not a huge pasta person, but I hear they are good as well. The best part about Pasta Vino is that you can have a great meal, and not break the bank. Prices are super reasonable. And the best part, they treat you like family.
Great Italian food, moderately priced, great service in the middle of Buckhead.
Been going here many years. Great food and service. Not large, but nice outdoor patio. Mostly locals from Buckhead area. Just a wonderful place to have a meal and glass of wine. Gets crowded by 6:30 on weekends. Kid friendly before 7:00.
