Across from the Apple store in the Domain. I needed a break. Great service, caring, super suggestions on wine and best lunch salad. Apple Crumble was the desert, should not have had it....All is freshly made. I certainly would visit this area of the Domain, again, just to eat here

Prominently placed on a corner about mid-way between Nordstrom's and Neiman's on Palm Way, is this new place. Because we have tried just about every other place in the Domain, we decided to try one in the new Northside area. What a great choice! Although an open design and kind of noisy, we have pretty much accepted that this is the new style eateries are favoring these days. This design is still not great, in my opinion, if you want to carry on a conversation, but here the noise was at a minimum. This was possibly because we came after the main lunch crowd, and possibly because we sat up near the front and away from the kitchen, which is always noisy. In any event, our server was knowledgeable and helpful, if a bit distracted. When she did find the time, she gave us a lot of information about the restaurant. We both ordered the grilled salmon sandwiches for $14 each. It was an excellent choice--crispy on the outside and tender and tasty within. My husband ordered their lemonade which was pricey at $4, and I thought that the plain iced tea was pricey at $3.50, but the meal was quite good and worthwhile. The restrooms were lovely, as well. We learned that Paul Martin also founded Fleming's, as well as PF Chang's (P for Paul, M for Martin). This was his venture into a different kind of dining, one more nature-based, sourcing mostly local ingredients. They claim he is very hands-on and visits the restaurant routinely. We will definitely return here. Although many of the dishes are pricey, we found that the $14 salmon sandwiches were well-priced for what we received.

If there was a 3.5 they would have received it, they are above average but didn't deserve the 4-Very Good rating. Since they just opened I normally would forgive many things but in this case my rating really had nothing to do with any problems. The service was fantastic, they seem to have plenty of servers and service was not an issue at all. Their wine list was good, nothing extraordinary but did fine a nice Cab to drink. I will say the best food item we had was the salt and pepper shrimp which were provided complimentary by one of the managers and very good! The rest of the dishes were just ok, I had the Columbia River Steelhead, while the flavor on the fish was good the fish itself was a bit dry. Another at the table had the Marinated Skirt Steak, it just seems to lack overall flavor. Normally when you order short ribs they the meat just pulls apart with a fork, not theirs, it seems like they didn't slow cook it enough, it was just dry. Of all the entrees the Chimichurri Chicken was by far the best giving them my above average rating. Overall these don't seem like opening challenges. I would definitely return as there were other items on the menu that I'd like to try and if things improve I'll be back to update my review.

Had a great family dinner, food was terrific, as was service. Will definitely go for dinner next time we are in Austin.

We went late on a Saturday, and even without a reservation we got a quick and good seating near the open kitchen. The blackened ribeye was cooked to perfection and was really tender and tasty. The “blackening” gave it a little extra flavor, although discreetly. The size was average and it came with mashed potatoes included; but for a full $42 it better be good and complete, of course. Dirty Gin Martini was good, and they had a limited beer selection. The waiter was nice, although he did not check in with us during the meal. The restaurant itself is located in the middle of a Domain, with easy access to bars and parking. The interior is a little dull and formal, but is fine for business lunch or night out with the wife.

Superb range on the menu and quality food with great portions. Service was not the best although suspect novice servers. Issues were corrected discretely and professionally by management who turned it around. Would visit again and sure it would be a 5 star review.

We celebrated a birthday by going to a new place for us - Paul Martin’s American Grill in the Domain in Austin, Texas. We had great expectations for a first time place for us and it looked great inside. Unfortunately everything went down hill after we sat down. The food was our major disappointment- simply very plain in presentation and taste. The hamburger was very disappointing because you see ‘American Grill’ in the title and yet it was not special and WAY overpriced. The fries that came with it were good. The macaroni and cheese side we ordered was also nothing special. For a place that prices itself close to Ruth Chriss’s, there was no comparison in taste and quality of this side. The brussel sprouts were passable but I hit a pocket of raw vinegar that made me choke. The fried chicken had nice breading but a very small portion of white meat. We asked our server to ask the chef if we could get a chicken breast when we ordered - he checked and came back and said the chef said no way. We don’t like dark meat but thought the entree would have maybe half white meat - nope! Mostly dark meat - so a good portion of this went to waste. The dessert was also nothing like what we thought it would be - smore and vanilla ice cream was plain with nothing special. Premium prices with very plain food - and NO working with the customer’s request. The customer is definitely not always right at Paul Martin’s in Austin - First time/Last time.

Everything from the awesome customer service to every dish we ordered plus drinks were amazing! So happy my friend introduced me to this place. Crab cakes appetizers perfectly cooked, steak cobb salad delicious, and Cajun style Red Snapper were all amazing! Will definitely be back.

This is such a nice place. Great location, easy to get to, plenty of parking nearby so you get a quick walk in and after you've stuffed yourself. Food is delicious. The service was great, attentive, and friendly. Not rushed. They had a great crowd for Thanksgiving, offered a full course, we opted to do our own thing, but everything looked tasty. Nice cuts of meat for steaks and short ribs, great sides. We'll be back. Thanks, Paul Martin's!

This is a casual eatery - relaxed and informal ambiance. There's plenty of space to stand or sit, whatever catches your fancy. I had their Texas Grill salad (a nice bowl filled with fresh goodness) and a Lynchburg Lemonade (strong and packed a punch!). I was impressed with their service and the quality of food and drink.

We enjoyed the jazz combo. Service was good. Food tasty. Wonderful location within the Domain. Good drinks.

Located in the middle of the Domain area, Paul Martin's offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The menu offered good selections. I had the red fish and it was great. It is a busy spot; a bit louder than I prefer. Good, friendly service.

Two visits in two weeks. Party of 12 for my daughter's birthday. Sat on the patio. Excellent service from Jason and Scott. Amazing artichoke and tasty deviled eggs to start. Chicken, steak, and all other dinner choices were top notch. Roasted cauliflower was a treat. Simply, wonderful meal at a comfortable, inviting restaurant. Second visit just to have the artichoke. Yes, it was that good a week ago, had to return for another. Nice cocktails on a coach toward the front door. Enjoyed Berkli, our server. Nice choice at the Domain!

I ate here one night as I was staying at The Archer on business. As a solo diner I was seated at the bar which was great as it made me feel really at ease as I sat with other solo diners and some couples. The staff were very attentive and the food was excellent, one of the nicest burgers I have had. I would definitely return.

Absolutely amazing place for a nice dinner. We went with a group of 5 folks for a casual dinner on a Monday night. For a Monday night the crowd was great, not too crowded, but still plenty of filled tables. Our waiter, Alejandro, provided top notch service and great suggestions. Alejandro was intimately familiar with all of the dishes and very friendly. We received prompt attention when we needed it, and were not rushed to make decisions when we were taking time conversing with our group. I would highly recommend Paul Martin's American Grill for anything from a date night, to a work lunch/dinner, to a large group dinner. The dishes are all well thought out. And the service and staff are top notch. We will definitely be visiting again. Thanks for the great experience!

We dined here Friday 12/4 and had an outstanding meal, drinks, and service. Even once we were told we couldn't get a cappuccino because the machine was down, our Server Santino (5 Stars) did everything possible to make things right. We met Kristopher Day, an Operating Partner who went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. With so many restaurants struggling to stay alive, the entire experience brought us back to the way things will be again sometime soon.

Excellent restaurant for a night out. Located in the Domain’s Northside/Rock rose area. We made same-day reservations online. When we arrived a couple of minutes early, we were shown immediately to our table. Our server (Cameron) was excellent. He made sure that we had what we needed while allowing us time to enjoy ourselves and our meal. Did not feel like they were trying to turn tables. Ensured we were able to quietly celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food and drinks were awesome. My husband had the shrimp linguini, and I had the pork ribs. The ribs fell off the bone - never had such tender rib meat in all my life! The lemon cream brûlée that we had for dessert was awesome. Came with two shortbread cookies that were to die for. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. We’ll definitely be back.

After a long delayed flight from the UK we landed STARVING. After checking into the archer we walked across the street to this little gem! we quickly placed our order as we were famished with low blood sugar. Our waitress Sara C. was a great welcome to Texas! When I opted for her described "delicious bread with Texas butter", my husband declined due to a gluten allergy. Knowing we were so hungry she arrived at the table with my bread and brought my husband two corn tortillas and a sliced apple. a few minutes later we had some delicious calamari, followed by the best ribs and Brussels sprouts ever. Andrew, the owner stopped by with warm welcomes as well. we left with full bellies and warm thoughts. we are here all week and will be back!!

Went as part of a party of eight on a business trip. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff. They had lost our reservation, but seated us pretty quickly. The appetizers we're great, tasty, and we'll plated. The entrees were not up to par (over seared steak, flavorless sides, and overpriced). The desserts we're a nice uptick with a great sunday and ice cream. All in all, considering the quality around the area, was surprisingly disappointed.

Really good place !! Service off Maria was fantastic !! The food was really fresh and tasty and the Margs were phenomenal!! I have no hesitation in recommending and will definitely return.

Loved it! Had the Prosciutto Crostini appetizer and the Correaleo Strawberry Splash, my friends ate the fish n chips and a cheese platter . Glasses of wine were poured and Raspberry Martinis tasted. Dessert was the Triple Chocolate Layer Cake - Delicious! Waiter was gracious to split our tickets and provide ToGo containers. Definitely coming back! Busy night but food and drinks were served promptly with minimal wait time.

This was our second trip to eat at Paul Martin's Austin Grill. Both times we enjoyed the meal very much. We had the roasted artichoke as an appetizer. Cooked well and the grilled lemon provided a good accent. Steak salad was filling and the steak was cooked perfectly. Wait staff was very efficient and attentive. Excellent place to dine for either a special occasion or just a casual dinner out.

We celebrated my wife's birthday with another couple, made reservations for 7PM on a Saturday evening, it was busy. We did get a table outside on the heated patio at about 7:20, that was okay, would have preferred a table inside but would have needed to wait too long. The service was horrific, perhaps because we were on the patio, not sure. The food however, was spectacular! We started with the Butcher's Board and a glass of wine - fabulous! Then fish tacos, filet and chimichurri chicken and finished off with Banana Cream Pie. Everything was absolutely amazing! My only complaint about the entire experience was the service. We will go back for sure and I highly recommend it. Hoping service was just off this night.

Calamari appetizer was tasty. Service was friendly, good. For dinner we ordered the fried chicken. It was Delicious. Two people could easily share one order unless you’re super hungry. The corn on the cob was superb as well. All for $27? So worth it 😋

We had the Steakhouse Cobb and Asian Chicken salads. Both were very good and quite large. Our server, Jacob, was very entertaining. Perhaps a future in stand-up comedy for him?

Went to Paul Martins in the Domain in Austin with family and discovered an incredible new restaurant. The blackened ribeye was outstanding and the wine selection top shelf. Highly recommend Paul Martins!!!!

Visiting Family in Austin Texas, we were staying at La Quinta Domain with our furry, Belle... We could have possibly walked to Paul Martin's but did drive and found convenient parking nearby for a little brunch and shopping. We were quickly sat at a wonderful outdoor area with heating along with Belle. Our Waiter, Brock was so welcoming and informative on the latest specials and details on the menu. Hubby ordered a Burger with blue cheese and I ordered the Brunch omelet with potatoes...a great deal which comes with breakfast beverage and coffee. The coffee is divine... I also received a cranberry juice. Merve (probably the wrong spelling but she is Fabulous!) checked in on us and Zack as well... The TEAM here at Paul Martin's is absolutely STELLAR! We did not receive service like this during our whole visit in Austin at any restaurant. I will definitely be back very soon. Food was delicious!

Longer happy hour than most places at the domain! We ordered the burger and cocktail special for $14. Really awesome deal. The burger was cooked to perfection. The drink was so so. Service was spot on! We would return!

This was my second visit to Paul Martin's restaurant. Both visits were equally superb. The service was exceptional, from hostess Hanna, to my waitress Sara, and wine recommendations from Kim. (hope I got name spellings correct) I had a Quinoa salad and added chicken and steak. It was very good and I would order it again. Service with a smile makes a difference. :-)

The food here was average, the service was OK. It definitely is not worth the price you pay (no matter what you order).

...at the Domain. My wife and I just had lunch here. Lunch for 2 with drinks came to sixty dollars. I had the Pastrami sandwich with fries with a sidecar (cocktail). My wife had three steak & bacon tacos with salad and her vodka tonic. The food was very tasty and the service was fine. Prices were to high....

This was our third trip to Paul Martin's. The service at this place is amazing. We always make reservations in advance and have never had to wait. They have Happy Hour on weekends with tons of options. Nicolette the manager always comes by our table to make sure we are taken care of. We love the brick chicken and braised short ribs. Plenty of choices on the menu with perfect ambiance. We can't wait to visit again.

We were at the Paul martin's (Domain) for Christmas eve dinner. I had called ahead multiple times to let them know we are also celebrating our daughter's birthday. We ordered Old Fashioneds and Dirty martinis - they were brilliant. The menu was a preset one and had options for all of us. We tried 3 of their appetizers and they were fairly good. For the main course, my husband ordered the filet, as rare as they can make it. It came to us thoroughly burnt and we had to send it back as it tasted completely bitter. The replacement filet they gave us was exceptional. We ordered a dessert but they forgot the birthday candles and celebration completely. we decided to let it go as it was Christmas eve but my daughter was disappointed for sure. All in all, a great place to have dinner at the Domain but i would avoid days when they have a preset menu.

Overprice horrendous food with bad service to boot. If you are in the Domain and need a drink and a decent meal, look elsewhere you are not going to find it here. slow unfriendly service, disappointing meals at a high price.

I really enjoyed this place. It has a great mix of seating and a great place to people watch. The outdoor patio is really cute and the food is delicious! The halibut is really good!

I ate here for a work dinner with a large group. The short rib was good. The pistachio ice cream I had for dessert was great!

This is the 2nd time I have eaten here. This time, my wife and I came later in the evening, around 8:30pm. The food was good, but our waiter kept making s feel like he was ready to leave for the night, and wanted us to hurry up. He took plates away while we were still eating and brought us the bill before he asked about deserts! Sorry Paul martin, good food spoiled by poor service.

I had a really nice team dinner here recently. Paul Martin's is located in Austin's Domain Northside, a rapidly developing mixed use area of restaurants, stores and office space. There is no parking immediately at the restaurant, but several parking garages nearby and also some limited (and tough to find during peak hours) nearby street parking. The restaurant space is open and inviting, and the wait staff was for the most part attentive if divided across multiple nearby tables. We started with table appetizers of calamari, the butcher's board and the salt and pepper shrimp. I'm not a calamari guy, but reviews overall were very positive, I thought the shrimp was excellent. I also had the butter lettuce salad, it was delicious and I highly recommend it as a starter. Most of the folks in my party ordered salmon or steak dishes, and they all really seemed to enjoy them. I had read some positive reviews of the French Dip sandwich, so that's what I ordered, I thought it was ok but nothing special. The fries that came with it were tasty. I also tried their brussel sprouts side, it was very good. We split a bunch of desserts, they were also very good. My favorite was the ice cream with the homemade shortbread cookies, the pistachio ice cream was very good and the cookies were delicious. The campfire sundae was also really good, and the house marshmallow fluff was amazing. Paul Martin's is a pricey night out for sure, but the quality of the food is worthy of a splurge.

I recently planned a business dinner for 10 people at Paul Martin's. Great job by the staff for helping a large group. To start the appetizers were fantastic. (Spinach and Artichoke dip, Charcuterie plate and also the Tuna with Wonton Chips) We also enjoyed entrees such as the skirt steak, pork chop, fried chicken, steakhouse cobb salad, Asian chicken salad and the classic burger. Everyone raved about our business dinner the next day! Just be sure to make a reservation and note prices are slightly high, but portions are huge.

This has been a good place for a nice meal. The service is really variable. For Sunday brunch, we had wait staff who spent more time chatting with co-workers in the kitchen, did not bring us replacement silverware and was generally absentee. The food declined in a similar way. French Dip, which has been good in the past had soggy/soft bread (like it had been microwaved). A very simple "fix" would have been available, if wait staff had been available.

I place an order online which was easy and simple. Then received and email showing my order after that received another email giving my estimated time order would be ready to pick up. Everything going great on a late Sunday night, Showed up to pick up my order an hour later and was directed to the bar. Told the young lady that I had an order to go she replied no you don't we cancelled all our to go orders we were way too busy tonight and she turned her back and left. I then got out my phone and showed her my 2 confirmation emails and charge to my credit card she replied I don't know what to tell you we don't have any to go orders. I expected better than this and still don't have the charge credited to my card. Very disappointing

I met a co-worker for Happy Hour. Restaurant's should really not advertise happy hour if they are not reduced prices or something special about it. $10 cocktails (only certain one's - others were $13+)$6 coors light and appetizers are about the size of your pinkie finger is not special. The food was very bland. They serve two different types of tacos but with no pico nor slasa nor spice of any kind. Unimpressive.

Picture here with our waitress extreme, “Becca“, we received some of the best service we’ve had in a while… We put her right up there with the greats like Yishai, of the Olive Garden in Round Rock, and JG, of Fish City Grill in Georgetown! We had a very friendly visit with the manager, Aundre, and could see what the restaurant is such an awesome success!

Really lovely restaurant. Warm, comfortable dining experience. Wished bread service had been warm. Had the New York strip and it had great flavor. I’m a fan of peppercorn sauce on my steak but they had no sauces. Server was Kathy. She was good, not exceptionally friendly. Chocolate cake was a big piece and we shared. Very rich. Loved the atmosphere, location in The Domain, and would go again.

I think this new restaurant will eventually be a good quality place to dine in the near future. They are still having some new start-up issues since they have only been open since November 7, 2016. They need to hire some managers who have been in the business for awhile and have the experience it will take to overcome their current issues/problems. Wait staff still not comfortable with menu. Wine glasses left on table after order taken and we didn't order wine. Salads coming out with main course. Bread brought to table after salads were delivered and finished. Chairs left out in walk-ways and tables not cleaned.

Good location and atmosphere but I found the food to be average and a bit bland. Was expecting the food to match the atmosphere but we were underwhelmed by the lack of flavor.

Domain North side location, has cucumber cocktail. It was refreshing and yummy. We enjoyed deviled eggs as an appetizer and they tasted so fresh and flavorful. Then we had the Alaskan Halibut with asparagus. Best choice! So wonderful and our waiter Frank was helpful and friendly and made our experience perfect. Going back for Monday Wine Day!

It was our first time dining at Paul Martin's and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed the environment and the food was delicious. The staff was so friendly and attentive to our large party of 10. Would definitely return and recommend this restaurant.

Two of us ordered the Mushroom burger; one with salad and the other with fries. (Vegetarian) The other ordered the fish tacos ($19) for two.. I know what you're thinking, "no, Teddy!" Well, I'll tell you what- very delicious, crisp veggies, perfectly grilled salmon and homemade flour tortillas. I also ordered a margarita peligrosa (dangerously sophisticated). This is a good special occasion place. Check it out .

We were going to be in Austin this past week and wanted an upscale restaurant to celebrate a recent milestone. Spent some time doing research to ensure we chose a nice restaurant that served good, quality food. We selected Paul Martin’s Grill in the Domain based on the plethora of amazing pictures and decent reviews on line. Unfortunately, what we experienced was a polar opposite of the pictures and reviews. We arrived shortly after opening and it was clear that they weren’t ready. We were soon seated and had a nice table. Initially we were very impressed and were looking forward to the experience. The restaurant seemed clean, well-organized and had the image we were looking for. We even discussed this as a good location for an upcoming, very large event we were planning. This will never happen, because, Unfortunately, it went downhill fast. The staff was incredibly lethargic and apathetic. They were all gathered back by the bar, talking and playing with their phones. During our visit, several groups of people came in, finding no greeter, they turned around and left. Server took our order and seemed polite and professional. He took the appetizer and entrée orders at the same time. We ordered a Mix of Crispy Calamari, BBQ Pork Ribs, French Dip sandwich, Fries, Cole Slaw and Mac & Cheese. After delay brought us the calamari. There was nothing “Crispy” about it, soggy, cold and appeared to be frozen rings, not fresh calamari you would expect at this price point. There was hardly anything on the plate, not even close to reasonable appetizer serving. There was a considerable wait for the entrée to arrive, at least 30 minutes after the appetizer. The restaurant was not busy, maybe 4 tables and that’s it. When it arrived, the server said “Here you go” he paused for a minute, almost as if he was expecting us to say something. The $36 plate of Ribs was an embarrassment to Texas BBQ. Don’t know how they were prepared, but they were boiled or baked to oblivion, complete mush!!! The Cole slaw was slopped on same plate and seriously unappealing. The French Dip sandwich was a wad of cold meat on a raw bun. The Au Jus, was plain, salty, beef broth, the cheese had gone hard and the bun was completely soggy. The side of fries were cold and inedible. This sandwich was not even on par with Chain Sub shops. The Mac & Cheese had developed a crust and was also Luke warm. It was clear that the food had been sitting for some time. To sum it up, there is no way this food was prepared by a trained chef, this was short order, frozen microwave fare, at Best!!! We actually felt it was leftovers with Incredibly sloppy plating and presentation. I don’t think I have ever been more disappointed with such a drastic difference in expectations and reality. They have carefully crafted a deluxe, upscale on-line image, that falls seriously short!

Appetizers were very reasonably priced. Entrees were priced very high for Austin, TX. I enjoyed the Ahi Tuna salad for lunch and it was $ 22.00 Ambience was quite nice. In the middle of our lunch our servers changed for no reason just a new lady walked up and said I will be taking care of your table now. Didn't order dessert because the menu the server presented me was beyond sticky and needed desperately wiped down. It was a plastic menu. Did someone not look at it before handing it out to the guest.

What a wonderful find! The perfect cross between Austin's chic cuisine scene and recognizable classics as main courses. Great service, good wine list and a great feel to the atmosphere of the restaurant. I bD the steaming quinoa vegetarian salad with a side of the salt & pepper shrimp. Delicious! Good for a fun gathering or a business dinner!

We got into Austin late on Saturday night. We were looking for a place to eat. They took us right in. Great service, very good food.

Highly recommend. For a business lunch, I had the Asian Chicken Salad which was a very generous portion and delicious. But O.M.G., the butter cake is pure heaven. We split one amongst 4 people - it is a true game changer. If nothing else, go for that. Your taste buds will thank you! It is an amazing dessert.

Nice restaurant. Good atmosphere. I ordered several vegetable sides for a meal. The cauliflower, brussel sprouts, and sweet potatoes with arugula. They were all very good! I would definitely order them again. My friends also enjoyed their food, and the other entrees we saw at nearby tables looked very good as well. I'd go back.

Needing to kill some time while my iPhone was being serviced at Apple's Domain store, I wandered across the street to Paul Martin's for a late lunch, and my first visit. I was greeted pleasantly when I entered and was seated at a bistro table for two in the bar area. My server, Millie, arrived immediately with a glass of water. After reviewing the lunch menu, I ordered a glass of wine and the fish taco entree with blackened redfish. A generous pour (at least 6 ounces) of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc, was served with some fresh bread and butter. In a reasonable time my entree was served. It was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly, the tortillas were fresh, the chili aioli not too strong, and the blistered tomatoes, arugula, and pickled onions were all great together without overpowering the fish. Millie provided friendly, attentive service without hovering or being too chatty. I finished up with a seasonal, apple crisp dessert and a delicious cup of decaf coffee. Everything was freshly prepared and delivered to the table hot from the kitchen. Judging by the fish taco and Castroville artichoke menu items, and the California intensive wine list I'm guessing this restaurant has West Coast roots. Which is fine, but personally I'd enjoy finding some European wines offered. After all, if you want a great pinot, don't you really want a burgundy? Nevertheless as the title says, my experience was All Good!

This was a great place to take a family while being very appealing to adults as well. Our server was most accommodating, and, the burgers were amazing.

Celeste made the already excellent quality meal, incredible with her superb service! NY strip, prime, cooked perfectly rare plus. Great everything!!!

Nice spot for lunch! We had French Dip Sandwiches, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Hamburger, and the Halibut….all were very tasty! Service was very good! Loved the open kitchen concept! It is in a busy area of The Domain….valet parking is available out the side entrance….very close….just look for it around the corner!

Visited Paul Martin’s for a birthday celebration with my girls. I called beforehand about parking because I have some mobility issues. I was told that they do not have valet parking but there were handicap spots out front. I only saw one handicap spot (maybe I missed the rest) but there was a valet nearby. I guess they weren’t for that specific restaurant, but we used their services with no issues. The location is within walking distance of a free parking garage. The restaurant’s vibe was nice and the service was great. Loved the décor. The menu has lots of options to choose from. We had the spinach and artichoke dip which was tasty. I was told the burgers were good but I didn’t taste. My friend loved the Taste of Summer Special that came with ribs, chicken and shrimp, corn on the cob and a cheddar biscuit. It also came with a dessert. A steal for $29. It seemed like a hit because I saw a lot of them leaving the kitchen. I had the Hoisin pork chop. I asked if it was a double cut pork chop and was told that it was. Imagine my disappointment when my plate came and it was not. Granted it was about an inch thick – but a double cut it was not. And it was cooked so dry that I had to have a drink with each bite. They offered to replace it, but I just didn’t feel like bothering. Most of it stayed on the plate. We all had dessert. The whole table raved about the butter cake. If you are opposed to “wet bread” as I am, this will not be your thing. The peach cobbler was a hit with the crowd and I inhaled my entire Banana Cream Pie. Yummy! All in all, I had an okay experience and I’m willing to give it another shot.

We knew that Paul Martin's had not been open for too long - came here for a birthday dinner on a Tuesday night and it was very busy. Service was stretched thin, we didn't get our appetizers at the same time (which we had requested) and weren't offered to order more than one round of drinks. We ordered supper (mushroom soup was excellent), but one of our dinner companions found a large piece of plastic packaging in their roasted chicken salad. We let the waiter know, he had the manager stop by to check on the situation. Manager arrived after about 10 minutes, was appropriately apologetic and took care of the issue. Would like to try here again (great location and nice interior), but will wait until they get their service and food kinks worked out of the system.

I love this place! They have a great happy hour, lot's of food and drink specials. They get busy in the bar, so try to get there early if you can. Dinner was fantastic! It was the best halibut I ever had, and my husbands salmon was really tasty too! Shout out to Berkli the bartender, she was super sweet and very accommodating!!!! Can't wait to go back!

We arrived for lunch during the week and there were very few people inside. It made us a little nervous however, our waiter was excellent and the food very tasty. My husband had the wild salmon sandwich with sweet potato fries. It was cooked to perfection. I had the Asian chicken salad which had a superb dressing. The seasoning was spot on. My only complaint, and reason for four stars, is that the chicken was a bit tough. We would definitely visit the restaurant again.

We were staying at a hotel across the street and have seen it on several trips but this was our first visit. Even though it was a week day and our reservations were at 5:45, the business was near full do to large parties. The butchers board was an excellent start to the meal. We recommend it to all. The entrees were average, but I believe the number of meals being prepared may have influenced that. The environment was loud and busy, however that was not the business’ fault. Overall, we were glad we tried this location.

Loved it. Had a delightful lunch and then went back for dinner. Great salads and sandwiches big enough to share!

Since we were really tired (travelled for almost 20 hours) we only ordered an entree. We choose the Tuna stack, which was really tasty, but could have done with a little less oil. The crisps on the side were nice, but could have used a bit more spice. Staff was friendly.

Made reservations via Open Table as they were promoting themselves on that app. I think it is a chain. In the newer part of the Domain. Place is large. It wasn't a loud atmosphere for how large it was and with the open kitchen. We liked the two person booth. It was nice and spacious and not on top of the other two person tables like so many new places. It is over 100 degrees even at 8pm so we were not starving and decided to just get entrees. I got the steak chop salad and my husband got the pork chop with brussel sprouts. Everything was good. I wasn't a fan of the salad dressing on the steak chop salad. It didn't add anything to the salad. Husband didn't have any complaints on his food but didn't say anything stood out. Service was ok. A few things to point out, we ordered cocktails to start and then wine with dinner. Our food came out and no wine. My husband also only had a bread knife for his pork chop. It is the minor service things that can become a big annoyance. At the price point they are trying to be the service needs to be a bit better in my eye. We finished our meal with the camp fire desert which was good and something different. We asked for no nuts as we have nut allergy and they were able to do it.

We stopped here one Saturday afternoon and it was the perfect icing to a great morning at the spa. From the fish tacos to my French dip sandwich, the wine, the bread and did I mention the wine? We had great service and the prices were reasonable for a slightly upscale meal. Ask for a window seat or sit on the patio for some great people watching!

So.... I am not a fan of chains and Paul Martin's is a small chain from California but this place goes against the grain of chain restaurants. Oh my goodness this place is great. The location in Austin opened about 3 weeks ago and I decided to give it a try today and I could have not been more pleased. The staff was fantastic and accommodating. I had the cobb salad (sans bacon, add chicken) and it was honestly the best cobb salad I have had in ages. My dining partner had the pull pork enchiladas that were served with a nicely fresh dressed salad on the side which she enjoyed. The cocktails were also fabulous as all are freshly made with only fresh ingredients such as fresh squeezed juices. Did I mention how terrific the staff was? This place gets an A++++ in my book.

Went here with a friend and it was a great experience. Service was excellent. The food wax absolutely outstanding! I had some questions on the menu and the server was knowledgeable and helpful. Food delivered promptly. They also do very generous wine pours, which was nice! The manager came over to ensure everything was good. Nice outdoor patio, great service, excellent food, what more do you want?! I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back. They do take reservations on OpenTable as well. I had the skirt steak and it was some of the best steak I've had. Perfectly cooked and flavorful.

I had their Bistro Burger and then their "Devils Food cake" that was really a multi-layer chocolate cake. Everything was good, so if you want locally sourced, organic, non-GMO food then this is the place for you. Their prices are on the higher end of things - the burger with fries was $15, the Chocolate cake $10. They have patio seating if you bring your dog. I sat inside near the Bar area. Service was attentive and four-star also.

Casual business dinner for ten was very enjoyable. Steak or pork all around after some delicious appetizers, with “just right” portion sizes. Service was fair, atmosphere was great.

This place was very overrated and a huge disappointment. We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation. When we arrived, the greeter told us that the people who have our table were just getting dessert. She said it would be just a few minutes. I thought this was an unrealistic guarantee, a lot of people might sit and talk after dessert. We were eventually seated in the kitchen. It was so hot we could barely eat or visit. We were right next to the table where people's food is sat, waiting to be delivered to tables. I thought that was unsanitary. A person in our group of 4 asked about a particular dish on the menu. Our waitress literally went over to the table of peoples orders that had came out, picked up a dish, and brought it over to us to look at/inspect. Her thumb was in their food. Then she took it back over to the table so it could be delivered to the poor person who was going to eat that. By sitting here, we got to witness just how long dishes sit before getting taken to their tables. The answer? A long time. I ordered shrimp pasta and it was just ok. The noodles and sauce were gummy and old. No one in our group finished their meals. The food was gross, cold, and way over priced. The atmosphere and service awful. There are way too many better places to eat in The Domain.

Not only were the ribs off the charts, chef came out and chatted to us about the menu then gave us an extra tasting dish free of charge. Great selection of beers, cocktails too. Ps. He's no relation to me, despite the same name!

This was our second visit to Paul Martin's the classic hamburger is TO DIE FOR! The atmosphere here is so nice and this visit...our server Claudio was FABULOUS! Our experiences here have been a 10/10. My husband and I have decided this is our favorite all time place to dine and well worth the hour and a half drive. The location is perfect in relation to all of the shops at the Domain and within walking distance to several hotels to walk off your meal! We HIGHLY recommend the butter cake!!

Recently, 10 of us had a group dinner at Paul Martin's Austin Grill. Everybody loved the location of it-it is in the heart of domain. The open kitchen and atmosphere is inviting and fun! The food is also very good. Quite a few of us had short ribs because our friends told us that this is a must have dish. We were not disappointed. We all love it. We will return to the restaurant. The price is a lot much reasonable than some of the steak houses in Austin.

We went here for our Valentines dinner the week of Valentines. The food was good and the service was great. I thought it was a little bit expensive. I had the ribs and they were very good and plentiful.

This restaurant was great for an early dinner upon arriving in town. The server was terrific and the food was very good.

Very attractive restaurant in the popular Domain area. Significant amount of free parking which is part of this mixed use development. Service was good, good menu and tasty drinks and food. We will return

It took forever just to get a glass of water. The place wasn't that busy on Sunday around 6 so I don't know why our service was so slow. Not very informative about the dishes. Had I known there would be mustard on my salmon I would never have ordered it. I was pretty bummed. At least the artichoke was good. I don't know if I will be back to this place. It would take a lot to get me to come back. Was hoping for a better experience and left disappointed.

Went there with friends. Great food and service... Located in the Domain Was a tad $$ but cool atmosphere

Nice place, good service and food. Good location in the Domain, indoors, air conditioned. Not cheap but not that expensive

Service was solid and food was good. Nice selection of drinks and we're well made. Nothing bad to say about this place at all. I give it 4 stars because their steaks are overpriced. Again I agree they are good but they are charging near prices you'd expect at Ruths Chris, Flemings or Smith n Wols, and they aren't near at that level.

Great meal on a lazy Saturday afternoon. We split the mushroom burger with a side Texas salad. Salad dressing was amazing. A couple of cocktails to go along made for a great late lunch. Service was great. We sat outside - very relaxing. Highly recommend.

First time here. Sat in a wonderful U shaped booth in the back corner. Brianna was a great server. The atmosphere was casual but hip. Biscuits and shrimp appetizers were excellent. Halibut was good, short rib was better. Butter cake was epic.

We went to Paul Martin’s to have a few drinks and deserts. This was not our first stone visiting Paul Martin’s and it is not one of our regular stops. The location is great with a nice atmosphere and patio options. The issue is the service and pricing are just tone deaf. We ordered drinks and two members of our party ordered a specialty martini. They asked if they could have a splash of baileys. Now the drink was already in the $15 dollar range which is not unusual for a martini but when we revived the bill our tab was over $130 for a couple of drinks each and deserts. In reviewing the bill they charged ($12) us for a full shot of Baileys with each drink. Now as a waiter or bartender you think you would discuss a $27 dollar martini plus the fact that you can not fit more liquor into a martini glass so basically replaced the other alcohol with and $12 “shot”. On top of this the service was extremely slow and unresponsive. This has been consistent with each of our visits here. The place has potential but in the vast choices there are better options

My husband and I came here last night for dinner. We were very pleased with the restaurant's decor, and we were lucky enough to be seated promptly around 6 p.m. on a Friday. I ordered the pork ribs, and I can say they are probably the most tender ribs I've ever had. The flavor was delicious, and they literally melted in my mouth. Excellent! I got them with a side of sweet potato fries and a really yummy coleslaw. My husband ordered the steak and mashed potatoes. He thought his steak and potatoes were very good. The presentation on his plate was a little lacking, just really kind of basic, but the food was pretty good. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend those pork ribs! Our service was fantastic as well!

The wait staff were great. I had the rib dinner. The meal was simple: meat and potatoes. However, I enjoyed every morsel. Very nice ambiance. The restaurant is in an area that you'll want to go walking around after, if not before, your meal.

We ate here as a part of a business group. Despite there being 20 of us, the service and quality of the food was excellent. I especially liked the prawn appetizer and ribeye main. Well worth a visit, especially if you are staying across the road at the Anchor hotel

We went to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Very loud inside the restaurant and bar. Servers are friendly. When the meal was served we were all surprised at the very small portions of food for the huge prices. My husband and I had the two different salmons and both were very small portions. Mine came with a salad next to the salmon. The food was good, however the prices did not warrant the high prices.

Paul Mattin made my wife and daughter in law's birthday a memorable occasion! Great food and make sure Veronica is your server if you want the most awesome service.

The Domain has really developed over the past few years. One of the great things is the addition of several new restaurants, of which Paul Martin's is one. The menu is limited but there is something for everyone....steaks, pasta, fish, etc. I have been there twice, once in a party of 4 and once in a party of 10. On both occassions, the service was excellent and the food was really good. Everyone was able to find something that they would like. I had the blackened ribeye and it was really good. The French onion soup was good as was the cake for dessert. The atmosphere is a bit on the noisy side, but then again, we were probably contributing to that. :-) I would definitely go again.

2nd visit here..first was awful with new staff and management. Tonight was wonderful. Great attentive staff. Steak was great, wife's chicken even better. Worth the visit!

It's hard to know what to make of Paul Martin's Austin Grill. The place itself is beautiful, the surrounding neighborhood up in The Domain is impressive, service is friendly and good, and if you sit by the window in the daytime you get some first-rate people-watching at no extra charge. So why not five stars, then? Madame and I were there for lunch on a recent Thursday, as two-thirds of a family group of three. She had an Asian roasted chicken salad; I went for the soup (chicken tortilla) and steelhead salmon entree. The Asian salad was both huge and somewhat unsatisfying; it would have been more successful had the chicken been fried. As it was, the chicken was a little hard to find in and amongst all the cabbage, etc, and a second serving of dressing was needed (and, let's be fair, cheerfully provided) in order to match the sheer volume of salad. Nothing all that wrong, but nothing really great about it, either. My soup (note to Austin restaurateurs: *please* give us some alternatives to tortilla chicken soup! You're collectively running it into the ground...) had far too much pepper (chili pepper and black, I believe) for me -- and that's saying something, because I really like spicy food. The first bite gave me a minor coughing fit; I soldiered on with as much of the rest as I could deal with, but had to give up halfway through. It was just too spicy-hot to be enjoyable. The steelhead salmon in itself was quite nice, and the bed of wilted spinach on which it rested was good too. But it was not clear what the sauce was supposed to be, or was envisioned as adding to the dish. In addition, there was a kind of mushroom-and-something (onions?) compote on top that just made the whole dish seem fiddly without adding anything to the overall effect. It is surprisingly easy for a kitchen to do one or two things too many to a dish, and that was the case here. The biggest issue, though, is that it was all wildly overpriced. For the three of us the bill for two modest servings of soup (one French onion, the other the chicken tortilla); two Asian chicken salads, at $19 per; and my steelhad salmon (which I'd thought was $24 but was billed at $28, I only noticed after we had left) came to $92.01 before the tip. For lunch, and an only somewhat satisfying lunch at that, those prices are out of line. Maybe that helps explain why, at lunchtime on a pleasant Thursday, we were one of only two or three parties in the place. In some ways my rating may be a little unfair or skewed, because the restaurant itself is really nice (as noted), service was good, and the cooking was (somewhat over-) ambitious. But fundamentally the questions are, how satisfied we all were, and would we come back? The answers are "only somewhat" and "probably not" -- not because of any major grievance but just as a verdict on how we'd best spend our time and money at lunch. As the saying goes, your mileage may vary...

We thought we could give this place a try - reviews were good and it was someplace we hadn't been to in the Domain. Big mistake. Essentially the food was not good. I had the Harvest Salad and the chicken was like something out of a can - not a cut up chicken breast. After the second piece with cartilage in it that I had to discretely spit out, I refused to eat any more of the chicken and separated it in the bowl. The veggies were fine (kind of hard to mess up). When the bartender came to take our dishes (we ate at the bar so can't speak to the service of the waitstaff) she asked how it was and I mentioned the chicken and got a reply of "oh, sorry". Nothing more. My husband had the rib-eye and said it was fatty and without much flavor (certain no Cajun spice). As we were leaving the host asked if everything was excellent. I replied Honestly? and when he said of course, I told him about the cartilage and he had the same apathetic response of "Oh, sorry". Service may simply have been an off day but based on the food we will most definitely not be back. For the price paid we could have gone to Perry's or Eddie V's and had a meal that was 100 times better and more attentive staff.

From right when you walk in the door you are treated like royalty. The food is to die for and the service is amazing. I was simply drinking my water and as they saw it was low they brought a fresh glass with a whole plate of new lemons MULTIPLE TIMES!! With no charge for lemon water(obviously) I was astounded at how nice everyone was. Multiple times we were asked if everything was alright and if they could get things out of our way or bring something new! I'm in love !

Our first time visiting the area and we were staying at the hotel right by this place so thought it would be convenient to walk over and eat there. Nothing to get excited about. Very dark inside for dinner. Small menu. We had the deviled eggs for an appetizer. Very small eggs, not much seasoning/flavor. Wanted calamari, as the menu said lightly breaded, which I always ask about and the waiter was nice to be honest and say they are not lightly battered at all! My husband’s tri tip entree included half of a twice baked potato and a salad which we split it as it was a nice size, plenty for two people to share. I asked for crackers, and waiter said they didn’t have any, they don’t serve them. He liked his meat dish and the dipping sauce that had plenty of bourbon in it, and tangy. I had the seafood pasta which consisted of an overly cooked piece of lobster and a couple of nice sized shrimp, with maybe three tiny pieces of mushroom, as well as maybe three tiny pieces of spinach in a supposedly lobster cream sauce, no just regular ol cream sauce to me. Not impressed at all. And two slices of the HARDEST thin garlic toast, that I thought I broke a tooth on. We choose a piece of chocolate cake for dessert, not fresh but cold and straight out of a box, didn’t like it, it was dry. I would not go back here if in the area again. It is pricey.

Reserved via OpenTable (which worked perfectly), but still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated, but we arrived JIT for happy hour so sat at the bar and that was ok. My Mule was served in a copper chalis. Very classy. Started with calamari. Lightly breaded as requested and very yummy. Had the filet mignon - perfectly cooked to medium with a simple side of mashed potatoes and spinach. When they don't serve it with a steak sauce you expect the steak to be good so we were pleased. Hubs ordered braised ribs. We liked the simplicity of each dish - not a lot of sauce or gravy, juices running everywhere. When our meal arrived 5 minutes after we got our starter, our waiter, who came to check on us, saw this and apologized and we simply asked him to take our food to stay under the warmer. This made our meats dry out, but I'm not such a foodie that I was horrified at this prospect. Food was still good.. We mentioned to the host that we had our wedding anniversary so we were surprised with 2 desserts on the house! Why only 3 stars - this place is so loud. Hubs and I sat barely a foot apart and we had to talk very loud to be understood. Imagine a group of 4? So I wouldn't take a date here or go here if you want cozy romantic. Our waiter was fantastic though, so he got a great tip, but it was packed and he was running like a mad-man to-and fro. We chose here cause we could take the bus to the Domain (and drink) from near our home in north-central Austin.

Hugely disappointed in our restaurant selection tonight. Heard good things about Paul Martin’s brunch but their dinner didn’t warrant accolades. We did not make reservations and were seated at a high top table in the bar which wasn’t bad. Our waiter was professional and nice. We ordered the salt and pepper shrimp for an appetizer which was ok but nothing spectacular. The shrimp was not hot. Next we shared the short ribs which were quite tasty but they were not warm. They were accompanied with mashed potatoes which were good but cold. We also ordered Mac and cheese which was cold as well and lacked flavor. Our waiter asked if we wanted bread and butter when he took our order which we agreed to since we were blowing our diet anyway. After we finished our meal our waiter came to the table and asked if we still wanted it, we declined. I thought it was interesting that for a nice steak house they were playing rock music and had hockey on the TV. Just not what we expected for a steakhouse. We probably will not return.

Paul Martins has a great selection of steaks, salads, and desserts. We had a rib-eye and a Texas style salad. Both were excellent. Staff were very accommodating when meat was not cooked to order. Provided fresh sides when the newly cooked meat came out after sending it back. Cannot ask for better! Terrific service as well. We will be back.

There’s not enough words to describe the amazing experience we had here. We came here to celebrate my partner and I 7year anniversary and job promotions and this was everybody in our party of 8, first time ever eating at a Paul Martin’s. The best decision hands down. The outstanding experience started the moment i made reservation and continued till the moment we left from visiting here. Everybody who we came in contact with was very professional, courteous, polite & treat us with so much respect. Then comes the food, which is out of this world AMAZING!!. Everything was cook to perfection. Everything had bold mouth watering flavors to it, well seasoned, very generous portions & was presented to us very appealing. The cooks that day did an phenomenal job. If I could, I would rate the food above 5 stars. Everything about Paul Martin’s felt so welcoming and comfortable and the atmosphere is very inviting. Paul Martin’s truly did above and beyond everybody in our party expectations and I am truly forever grateful to Paul Martin’s for allowing us to celebrate this wonderful time in our lives. You have earned several customer for life and I will be sure to praise Paul Martin’s to everybody I come in contact with. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Stopped in at PM's last week for the first time after the COVID nonsense. Great time had by all! The service was great, attentive, but not obtrusive. The wine list is a bit pricey, but a very thorough and well thought out selection. The buttermilk fried chicken was delicious, and different texture and taste than usual, but it worked very well. The daily special, filet mignon, topped with a crab cake, lump crab meat and a hollandaise sauce was over the top, and out of this world! Best filet I've had in a long time! Paul Martin's has successfully re-opened post-COVID, and the restaurant is rockin' ... stop by and I am sure you'll agree!

We went to this place on a Saturday night. It was crowded of course and VERY LOUD. We were seated per reservation time. The wait person was very friendly. My wife and I ordered "The Grill Salad". It supposed to have grilled avocado, radishes and other of the usual salad fixin's. Well, the salad was good. However the avocado's were not grilled. The radishes were very tinsi, tiny slivers that you could hardly see. My wife allayed my grumbling about the radishes by giving me a couple of her slivers. She knows how to get me to behave (most of the time). With the noise, there was no point in a conversation except with the person right next to you. The super nice wait person, Maryssa saved the night with her bright smile and attitude. If you like trendy, loud places then this is for you. Beings that I have outgrown such places for more relaxed atmosphere's, I will pass on this place in the future.

Had a fun night out at Paul Martin's while visiting Austin for a girls' weekend. Ordered our favorite bottle of bubbles (Schramsberg) and enjoyed dinner in a sleek, modern atmosphere. It was a Friday night, so the restaurant was busy. It was noisy, but we did not have a problem carrying on conversations or enjoying each other. I had the cedar plank steelhead which was delicious! I wish there had been more mushrooms on my plate because they were so flavorful. My friends ordered the redfish, the braised short ribs and the shrimp linguine. We also ordered a side of brussel sprouts and salads. Everyone raved about the flavors and quality. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Personally, I have a huge pet peeve about plates being cleared before all guests have finished eating, but that's not an issue unique to Paul Martin's. Even though it bothers me, I won't hold it against them. Really good experience. We will definitely return.

A very nice patio area. We were visiting Austin on Good Friday evening and all restaurants were so busy with upwards of 45 minute wait list. We found Paul Martin's just as we were giving up and they had no wait lines. The menu is not vast but was pleasing with an assortment of appetizers, sandwiches, salads, soups, and savory entrees, cocktails, wine, beer, etc. And dessert, but alas, no room for that! Maybe next time. I will definitely go back when in town.

Just left the restaurant; not worth the money, very average food and service. Ordered from the express lunch menu; had to wait 30 min for the food. Never ever again

This is a busy new restaurant in the Rock Rose area of the Domain. I've been twice and both times the food was excellent. The drinks are $$$, as is the food. But the atmosphere is good and they have a nice outdoor dining area if you can get it! Despite being so busy the service is very good.

Do not go to this steakhouse/Grill for a steak, or a salad, or good service. You should expect that you will pay $40 for an overcooked steak. We asked for the steak to be remade, as it was WELL DONE (asked for medium rare) you will wait while your table has their food. Then you will eat alone. Not acceptable. No apology, nothing. So, there are lots of places to spend your money at the Domain, don't make the same mistake as we did. Only plus? The atmosphere was cool.

It is just the average cool wannabe ordinary restaurant, food and service ok, nothing to remember it by. there are other choices around this new area that might be a bit more memorable, that's just me.

Big fan of this restaurant in Dallas so I tried the Austin location while visiting my best friend. Great dinner with super service. Highly recommend the burger and the ice cream with marshmallow fluff desert.

I had a working lunch here and tried the Cheeseburger with Fries as my side. At $17 it is overpriced as are the other items on the menu. Service was quite slow but the kitchen got our food out quickly. The burger itself was decent, but too messy to eat with your hands, so plan on using a knife and fork which kind of kills the fun of having a burger. It also had some kind of customized mayonnaise spread liberally on both buns. I did my best to get it off since I've never cared for mayonnaise on anything much less a burger. It is not noted on the menu that they are going to smother the burger in mayonnaise. The fries were crisp and tasty, the best part of the meal for sure. The Seasonal Quinoa Bowl my friend had looked decent but again was quite pricey after adding a protein. If I'm back in the Domain for lunch I'm unlikely to repeat.

Dinner tonight was pretty amazing. We requested Sara as our server because she’s waited on us before and gives wonderful service, and remembers details that most people don’t. We had the Monday night pre fixe dinner for 2, which is an incredible value. Wedge salad, perfectly prepared Halibut, and a bottle of rose for $75. But there are plenty other apps and entrees to choose from, as well as wines. But to top off our evening Sara treated us to a lovely butter cake. She really made us feel so special. We’ll be back on a much more regular basis, and all because a little kindness goes a long way!

Pros: - decor is very nice, restaurant is new, very clean, staff is very war and efficient - food is very fresh, with quality Cons: - price is high for overall experience - maybe some more options Grill and BBQ in the menu

I wish I had something positive to writer it looked like a wonderful place. We wanted to eat in the bar and we were seated. We were not looked at nor talked to until we got up and left after 10+ minutes. Unfortunately, I doubt I waste my time trying again.

We (my wife and I) ate here several months ago. It was new, fairly expensive and the food was good but not worth the price.

We went for my husband's birthday, but the service and meal were just ok. When our starters arrived we asked for small plates and the runner said she'd get them, but 10+ minutes later we never got them and grabbed the waiter for them... then the main dishes arrived and we asked the same runner for steak knives (wondering why a steakhouse doesn't set their tables with steak knives?), again, ahe said she'd get them, but 5 minutes later we asked a hostess for them, she sent a manager to our table with the steak knives(and excuses). Thoughtfully, they included a dessert for my husband's birthday, but they didn't include forks, so again we waited for forks. The crab cakes were really excellent. The brick chicken was pretty good, but not outstanding. The steak my husband got on the prefix was over cooked, but edible. We loved the ambience. No one was rude, but we just expected better service and food for the price.

Visiting son went to Paul Martins for dinner - 5 star server Mitchell well done sir! Food excellent drinks fab-u-lous all A1 Great ambience (nod here to Mickey Flanagan) will definitely go again on our return to Texas in the fall 🤠🤠🤠🤠🤠

During a business trip to Austin, we celebrated a work birthday here. We had reservations and were seated on time. It took 45 minutes for our server to come back and take our drink order after his initial greeting. The restaurant was packed! Even though I spoke to 2 managers, and they were working themselves running food & drinks, it was obvious they were severely understaffed! Drinks were great-highly recommend The Sidecar! Food was delicious! Highly recommend the Filet, medium rare.

I had lunch here with my Mom. She ordered the beef dip and was asked if medium rare was Ok for the beef. I ordered the mushroom burger and we shared the roasted cauliflower. When the food arrived, I could see a huge chunk of fat hanging out the side of the bun. The meat was actually grey in color. Certainly not medium rare, it was old looking and fatty. We sent it back. The mushroom burger tasted OK, but if texture and firmness is important to you, don't order it. It is soft and mushy and falls apart. It could be filling, but not a patty. Left feeling kind of sick.

Took my parents here when they came to visit and everything was wonderful. Even though they were a full house they were able to get us seated quickly and provide excellent service.

Restaurant is very nice. I prefer eating in restaurants like this and not in fast food. Columbia River Steelhead was delicious.

We had dinner Saturday night at Paul Martin's in the Domain Austin. We requested the patio and were seated quickly. They had heaters outside which were a big help to the windy evening. Our kids could play outside where we could see them. Food was good, we ordered small plates off the Happy Hour menu.

The place was really busy and there was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. The food was very good and service was great. There was a fun vibe in the place which is partly as it is in the Domain.

Really enjoyed our shopping break at Paul Martin. Nice ambiance and food and very friendly service. The menu is not huge but has a varied selection. Would definitely go back next time at The Domain.

Went for lunch as a first visit and had the fish tacos and the Three Mushroom Veggie Burger. Ingredients are first rate. The Mushroom Burger was outstanding. The side slaw was above average but nothing special. The fish tacos again had good quality but were in my opinion nothing special from a flavor perspective. There were two tacos and that is all. Rather pricey for $17. Did not have wine or beer but drink prices are on the high side. That said they do have some deluxe wines at $17 per glass that are reasonably close to retail pricing (7 ounce pours so bottles in the $68 range). Will definitely go back but not likely to order the fish tacos sgain!

My wife and I decided to spend the day walking around the Domain Northside but first selected a place to have lunch. On each visit we try to select a different place and Paul Martin’s American Grill was one we never been. My gets giddy every time she sees a restaurant with my name on it so it made things a bit extra special. Upon walking inside basically it was clear except nice decor and seating, but the party was on the enclosed patio, and where we were seated. We were attended to very quickly by a professional staff. Ordered coffee and and studied their brunch menu. I selected Grill Benedict and my wife Buttermilk Fried Chicken. The patio has an excellent view of the grassy courtyard where kids were running around playing. My coffee tasted very great. We were relaxing a bit until our food arrived. Very nice presentation for both plates. Two benedicts with a side of potatoes and the other with chunks of fried chicken and sides of sweet potato fries and rustic potato salad. My benedicts were really good and tasted farm fresh. It was delightful. I tried my wife’s choice and the fried chicken was very tasty. The rustic potato salad to me was a bit paprika for me. But overall both plates exceeded my expectations. Definitely be back again.

We went here with friends who had not been here before. I had the marinated skirt steak which was delicious! My husband had the fish tacos and wished he had gone with the steak. Our server was very attentive and helpful when it came to what wine I should choose from. OVerall it's a nice place to have a meal.

we went here for dinner as part of our after work hang out. We were a party of 6. We ordered a variety of items, calamari, shrimp, spinach artichoke dip for appetizers and dinner from BBQ Shrimp to various salmon preps to veggie burgers. good food, good service

Went with a group of 8. The drinks were great (I had an Old Fashioned, wife had a Grasshopper). The food was amazing, from the appetizers to the desserts. Portion sizes were a little big, which was fine because we got some leftovers. I had the pork ribs, which were perfectly cooked. The dessert was the peach cobbler, which was great as well. The service was amazing as well, my mother in law's steak was way over cooked and they quickly took care of it and offered soup/salad while she had to wait. Only negative is price, wish I could do a 4.5

The wife and I hadn't treated ourselves to a nice night out in a while, and we've been trying to visit a lot of the restaurants in the Rock Rose area of the Domain here in Austin. Paul Martin's was next on our list to try. Since we had a reservation with Open Table, we were seated just a few minutes after arriving. Our server, Zach, was there quickly to introduce himself and familiarize us with the menu. We decided to order the Butcher's Board for an appetizer. The wife ordered and Old Fashion, and I was torn between two different wines. Zach brought me generous samples of both to help me with my decision. The Butcher Block had a really nice assortment of meats and cheeses, including prosciutto, salami, local goat cheese, honey, olives, and some sauces. Perfect size for 2 people. Dinner, I opted for the Blackened Ribeye. I'm usually cautious of anything that says "cajun spice", because frequently that's all you taste. Not so in this case. The steak came out cooked and seasoned perfectly...the spice was there but it didn't get in the way of the flavor of the meat. The side of mashed potatoes was the right flavor and texture. The wife ordered a salmon dish that was off-menu that night. It came out with rice, spinach, and a creamed corn. I know...odd sounding combination but it worked. When our server asked how everything was, I told him that was one of the best steaks outside of a high end steakhouse that I have had in a very long time. He informed me that they were associated with Flemming's Steak House, so they had access to the same grades of meat. That explained it. We opted to skip dessert because the meal filled us up, and we wanted to visit some other locations in the Domain that night. I can't stand the pretentiousness that is usually the prevalent atmosphere in restaurants that serve food of this quality. That is completely absent from Paul Martin's. Great food, great service. Plan for a special occasion or date night and visit them.

I found Happy Hour heaven here:) My husband & I went last night and it was a great experience Their happy hour from 3-7 is an amazing value for the quality. We started with their signature cold smoked deviled eggs with prosciutto. They were definitely smoky tasting and delicious. Based on our awesome waiter's recommendation I got the happy hour house burger. It came with the burger, choice of side: salad, regular or sweet potato fries and you got to choose one of the HH drinks (I had the cucumber refresher yum) All included for $13 Yells ya;) The burger was really juicy, cooked a perfect medium and the black pepper aioli was a nice. My husband got the same deal but he chose the crispy chicken sandwich with pimento cheese, fries and a Moscow mule and said the sandwich was amazing. Everything tasted really fresh and a lot of it like the sauces and pickles were made in house. Last but not least our server Jason H did an outstanding job. Knowledgeable, attentive & very helpful. The manager came by also to check on us which I always appreciate. She was very nice and gave us a great dessert recommendation Meyer lemon creme brûlée with house made shortbread cookies. I wish we had room left to try it. But as a super bonus she gave us a few shortbread cookies to go. Delicious 😋 2 thumbs way up. Get thee to their happy hour!

I have been to this restaurant 3 times since it opened. The lunch was great and the bread was amazing. The menu is fairly limited and not too many choices. Happy Hour is fun and there are a lot of happy hour food choices and drink specials. Dinner is also really good. The night we went they were booked and even though there were open tables we had to sit at the bar- The food is really good. I think if you want to really enjoy the dining experience and not sit at the bar you should make a reservation. If you like sitting at the bar then you would love it. I give the food a 5 and the atmosphere is fun.

My husband and I went for dinner on a busy Friday night to celebrate an anniversary. Even though we arrived early for the reservation we were seated without a wait (which was nice!) The braised short ribs were awesome as was the shrimp appetizer. We had lots of attention and when one of the staff learned it was our anniversary - gave us two very nice complimentary glasses of wine. Overall it was a great experience. We will definitely go back
Nice find in the Domain
This was my 1st visit to this restaurant chain and I will most definitely visit again. I love the atmosphere and the food was very good as well. My 1st impression with the server was not that good, when I was looking at the pinot noirs he said oh I should try one of his favorites and it was the most expensive bottle there was at $80. When I told him that was over my price range he really didn't say anything after that. But later when he returned to take our orders he was much more pleasant and he was very attentive the rest of our meal so we both ended with a very happy experience.
