The best fried chicken I've had apart from in New Orleans. They did warn on the menu it was hot I thought they were clowin but they were right had my mouth on fire 😋. It's a small, friendly but very welcoming place and excellent staff. A must visit if your in New York it's worth the visit.

Just for perspective and full disclosure I'll start by saying we ate at Peaches Hot House three times during the week we stayed in the neighborhood. I could have gone back but my partner drew a line in the sand . . . Everything we tasted was great, so I'll just mention my highlights with a quick trip around the menu. As a starter the watermelon salad and catfish nuggets are both good ways to begin. Either the fried shrimp or the meatloaf will have you looking for someone to hug, anyone, they are so homey and delicious. And there is a nice bar to round things out. We did a bit of a wait one evening, but chatting with other patrons on line passed the time just fine. Brooklyn of course has become a destination in its own right, and the Bed-Stuy neighborhood is all that. So, if you find yourself nearby stop in to Peaches Hothouse. For sure.

You will probably have to wait couple of minutes to be seated, because the place is always full. But it absolutly worth it. They serve amazing green fried tomatoes, fried chicken and burgers. The service is very nice and friendly.

My first time eating here and my God it won't be the last! What a way to start my vacation! You have to try the crispy chicken sandwich (hot) w fries!

We was staying round the corner from both peaches this and the normal one. We first went to the normal which was a let down. But then We went to the hothouse all I can say is 😋😋 well worth the trip. I had the fried chicken & mash potatoes I would deffo go again when in BK

Me and my girlfriend came here on our last night in New York (staying in the Brooklyn area), wish we had found this gem earlier. Service was of the highest standard; staff are polite, friendly and welcoming. The food was exceptional, we had the specials (I the shrimp and my girlfriend the chicken)- well cooked and in good time too. Just enough time to sink a couple of the house cocktails (happy hour between 4pm and 6pm = $6 drinks) Cannot recommend this fantastic local restaurant enough - if you are in Brooklyn, look up the Peaches Hothouse.

I always have the chicken when I come here. Always. It is tasty. The sides are tasty and plentiful. I have heard from other diners that the shrimp is fabulous too. It is unpretentious, reasonable and friendly. A gem.

Not all Peaches Hot house are the same. They don't have the same chef or standards. On 7/17 I purchased an order for delivery. The delivery took less than 10 mins from order to delivery. That was my first concern. Normally the wait at any peaches location is substantial because the food is cooked fresh. The 2nd concern was the smell: it smelled fishy and greasy- something I have never experienced at none of the other two locations. I did not want to waste the almost 59$ I had spent. So I attempted to eat the chicken. It smelled like fish and tasted as though it was deep fried in oil that fish was cooked in. Suffice to say neither my 14yo or I ate the food. It was that horrible. I had to tie it up and throw it out because the fishy/greasy smell was overbearing. Peaches is known for its really good food but this peaches on Tompkins is very different from the others. Suffice to say my daughter said she will never eat from this location again. I agree with her this time. I will not ever give it the third opportunity to screw up.

Great chicken, good drinks go during happy hour. I really liked this place. Would go again for the neighbourhood experience.

This is a popular place but we managed an outside table without waiting too long. Our landlady had assured us that this was the best restaurant in the neighbourhood. On her advice I had the fried chicken which was tasty but the the serve was very large.

This is easily some of the best fried chicken ever. Being from Chicago we take our fried chicken serious (Harold's, Honey Butter, Gus's, Uncle Remus, etc). I have no doubt that this is in my top 2 or 3. Everything about the chicken unreal, the crisp to juiciness ratio is ideal and with the perfect level of spice. They also had a solid bourbon selection so I was in heaven. The chicken alone is worth it. Highly recommended.

Food is sooooo good. You don't come here to be healthy I'd say... as it's for sure comfort food. But once and a while it's damn tasty and you have to go at least once.

Best fried chicken, and friendly staff! Peaches hothouse is a must for my family when we're in Brooklyn. I've never had fried chicken as good as theirs. Mac and cheese, grits, fries were all good. Pickles were a wonderful compliment to the meal. The catfish and the sausage sandwich were both ok. I didn't try the blackened catfish because it's only served at dinner and the last time I went for lunch. The hot chicken was too hot for me. I've been here many times and can say the wait staff are so nice, every single visit. I kind of don't want to write this review so the place could remain a local secret lol.

If you’re a fan of soul food, this place is for you. Some of the best fried chicken, collard greens, and mac and cheese I’ve ever eaten. We live a few blocks away and regularly visit.

I just came from Hot House in Brooklyn and my lips are still burning. Visiting New York I arranged to have dinner with my daughter who suggested this place. I have been wanting to explore the great new places in Brooklyn and I jumped at the chance. This is a small place with about 15 tables serving large portions of Hot Chicken (really spicy) as well as Shrimp and Catfish. Although there are other items on the menu, these are the stars. The wait can be long so we sat at the first two seats available at the bar. I did have the Hot Chicken but next time I will probably try the Catfish. Not because I have anything bad to say about it, it was outstanding, but it looked so good at someone else's plate, I will have to try it. I WILL COME BACK ON MY NEXT TRIP.

Great Nashville style hot chicken that didn't disappoint on the hot. The macaroni and cheese was a perfect creamy side to help douse the fire that ignites your mouth. A decent selection beer to wash it all down with. Wait wasn't too bad as we were just two, definitely expect to be longer with more people, the space isn't very large.

Apparently the thing to do here at Peaches is to burn your tongue! Their Nashville style hot sauce is great. There is a special menu item of fried chicken on a burger too.

The service was friendly, food came out quickly and everything we ordered was absolutely on point and full of flavor. We ordered the hot and regular fried chicken with comes with a side, white bread and ridiculously delicious homemade sweet & spicy pickles. The chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection without being greasy at all. The collard greens and mac and cheese sides were both a 10 and the pickles were completely addictive! We also ordered the fried green tomatoes which were topped with arugula and had a perfect flaky crust, crispy bacon and a tasty dollop of aioli. As for the shrimp and grits with chorizo, the flavorful creole sauce, plump tailless shrimp and velvety, buttery grits were divine and exquisitely balanced. Instead of ordering dessert we went with the blackened catfish and we were all thrilled with our choice because it was a total flavor bomb and must try. Good selection of beer, cocktails and wine to choose from, as well. Two thumbs way, way up!

Great neighborhood restaurant, locally popular especially for brunch. Broad ranging menu suitable for all diet restrictions except vegans.

Despite the 45 minute wait (the majority of which was in the freezing cold) this place still gets 5 stars. It's a tiny little restaurant, but the service once you're seated is attentive and excellent. The food is really the star of the show: amazing fried chicken with the choice of delicious all-American sides. The drinks menu was also great and we enjoyed some well-made cocktails. Pricing was really reasonable by NY standards. Would recommend to anyone.

The restaurant is small so seating is limited, but the food is delicious. It may sound crazy, but get the broccoli! The broccoli is grilled with onions and garlic and might be the best broccoli I've ever had. My son had the catfish, my husband the chicken sandwich, we all left full and very happy with our meals.

I brought my cousin from Philly to NY for a graduation present. While staying in Brooklyn, I was looking for restaurants, as we both love food and found Peaches. Peaches was closed, but we were told to go to Peaches Hot House. The food is amazing!! So amazing that my ungrateful cousin told me this was the best part of her trip lol. All in all, I'd definitely come again!

Atmosphere. Food. Drinks. Customer service, everything was lovely. 10/10 would recommend for a chilled evening as well

Hands down spiciest and best chicken I've ever had. I was in Brooklyn for 3 days and was staying 3 blocks from Hot House and mad dined there each day. Service great, knowledge of food and drinks great, atmosphere like being home. If you are lucky enough to sit at the bar Chivon is probably in my top 10 bartenders of all time her creativity and charm rival that of their famous fried chicken. Rodney the executive has a deft hand with developing a menu that would satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. When you can sit down and order your own combination no matter how outlandish but receive a masterpiece of a dish, that's the mark of a top tier chef and strong staff. Hot with no flavor isn't impressive. Hot with a strong flavor profile is award winning. Biting into a moist, perfectly cooked piece of chicken that made me sweat, have a runny nose and do a happy dance was nirvana.

The four of us had to wait for over twenty minutes to be seated but it was more than worth it. The food was just so full of good things that I would recommend anybody not to be put off by the fact you may have to wait. I had a cassoulet which was really excellent and all of us agreed on the standards of all our choices being extremely high. Really friendly, young people running the place and sensible prices

Came here with my fiancée. He is highly allergic to seafood and we were told all their food is fried in the same oil. Sadly he could only enjoy two heaving bowls of Mac and cheese and cornbread. I had the catfish sandwich as well as a side of collard greens. Everything I had was so delicious and fresh. The cornbread perfectly melted before you could even bite into it. Pleasantly pleased with both their home made sweet tea and lemonade. Super friendly staff as well.

My brother practically dragged me here desperate to try the legendary hot fried chicken, and man was it worth the relatively easy journey from our midtown Manhattan hotel. I opted for the barbecued shrimp and grit cakes from the lighter bites, and they were fantastic - what a way to be introduced to grits. They went perfectly with the big well cooked shrimp and sweet sticky bbq sauce. The chicken also defied expectation - my brother couldn’t handle the heat in the end, but ate it anyway and spent the next hour or so streaming from his eyes. He still thinks it was worth it though. Great vibe; real small place though, and the location was pretty cool too, we walked about 15 mins from a subway station nearby.

Casual place that has limited seating, on a nice day there are outdoor tables available. Local micro and macro brews on tap, full bar w/ specialty drinks. Ordered the spicy fried chicken. It is a dry rub spice, great flavor and not too hot for a regular spice eater. I am a frequent user of hot sauces and it was pleasant. I will try the very spicy next time. Try the grits and cornbread. Peaches will not dissapoint!

Peaches Hothouse !!!! Peaches deserves to be on this list period. It was apparent after the first bite. 3 pieces of bird on top of white bread with crispy grits and cornbread on the side. The house hot sauce was one of the best I've ever tried. If spicy is your thing skip the hot chicken and order the Extra spicy. There is a vast difference between the two so know your scoville spice limits before you order this. These guys on youtube did a video review of this place. Just search it by searching Devour NYC Top 5 Fried Chicken.

Nashville-style hot chicken and comfort food. Everything we ordered was fabulous, from the fried green tomatoes to the BBQ shrimp with fried grits, to the spicy hot chicken. Amazing cocktail menu. There’s only a tiny sign in the window, but the place was packed. My only complaint was that we had to wait 45 minutes to get seated, but when we did, we got a nice cozy table by the window. Prices seemed reasonable. Definitely the place to go for Southern food.

In the mood for fried chicken? Look no further. This cozy neighborhood outpost draws them in with their delicious regular, hot, and extra hot fried chicken. There are other items on the menu, but everyone in my party had the chicken and loved it. You get a side dish and cornbread with. I had the charred broccoli which was a great compliment to the crispy breading on the chicken. Friendly service. The place is small and loud but makes for a satisfying and fun meal. There are 3 other Peaches locations with different menu takes. I'd like to try them all based on this first experience.

You know how people have a thing? Well one of my things is hunting down good fried chicken in NYC. A friend introduced me to Peaches Hothouse and I've been hooked ever since. With thousands of restaurants around NYC, why would someone return to the same place over and over again? Because it's THAT GOOD. Technically it's called The Hothouse. Peaches is the sister concern. But somehow it has taken on the nickname Peaches Hothouse. Now lets get down to it. It's Nashville style fried chicken that comes in three levels of heat: regular, hot extra hot. For people who can't handle heat I would say challenge yourself at least once and order the hot chicken. You can always cool your tongue with the creamy mash potatoes, cool potato salad and/or the decadent mac-n-cheese. And delicious mixed drinks on their menu help on that front too. Everything I've had here (and I've had quite a bit of the menu with eight visits) is hands down delicious. If you're looking for finger-lickin' fried chicken, this is the joint to go to. Note: The restaurant is always packed and they don't seat people until the complete party is present. I don't think they take reservations.

Finally made it to Peaches and what a pleasant surprise! LOVE the hot chicken here. Spicy and fried to perfection. The ice tea is not too sweet, perfect for New Yorkers, and the Tennessee Brown Jam is also delicious and very creative (it's a pulled pork spread served with crackers). Love their house hot sauce too. For dessert, we tried the bourbon pound cake and the frosting did taste very much like bourbon. Definitely going back to try the burger next time!

Delicious menu, friendly welcoming staff and relaxed atmosphere. We were staying around the corner from this place and visited often for lunch and dinner...great each time.

the chicken sandwich was delicious, I lucked up when I got to the restaurant there was one table open, otherwise it would've been quite a wait as the restaurant is very small, but the food is great and the prices are affordable

It's only 7 tables inside and 1-2 outside so expect a long wait. We got lucky and were able to walk right in, but saw the crowd building as we sat. Not necessarily the most friendly staff - took a while to get water, get someone to take orders, and then seemed like forever to get food. But once it came, it was delicious! Also, we went for brunch on a Sunday so they weren't serving the Mac and cheese yet. That's what I really wanted. :-(. Probably won't return if I'm back in BK, but it was good to experience a local favorite and again, food was actually good.

First time eating here, this is in my neighborhood and it was a Caribbean restaurant a few years ago. The fried chicken, kale with garlic and Tiger Woods drink were all on point. Will return, my company had catfish and shrimp, will share all pics. No complaints. It's a small establishment so don't go at peak hours if you're touchy.

I had the sticky burger and it was so good! The atmosphere was great even though the location was smaller than the others. My mom was actually the one who introduced me to Peaches and I'm really glad she did !

I went on a Saturday night at 8pm the line was out the door with about 10 ppl in front of us, so we decided to just order take out , the chicken was really good not to dry not to greasy the mash potato was creamy and delicious

Peaches Hot House in Stuyvesant Heights sits in the heart of the Bedford Stuyvesant neighborhood. We had the pleasure of dining there on our first night back in Brooklyn for a repeat visit with our daughter and son-in-law. Peaches' causal atmosphere belies the seriously goodness of its food. Their specialty is down-home fried chicken served up at three levels of spiciness (watch out for the extra hot, but our son-in-law could totally handle it). I went with the regular spice and was delighted with the balance of crispiness and moistness in a perfectly prepared chicken thigh. The side dishes are equally as special and include choices such as collard greens (amazingly tangy), cornbread (thick and dense), and okra (elevated beyond mere vegetable by some kind of secret ingredient). My ultimate favorite was the fried Brussels Sprouts, soft on the inside with a crispy, hot exterior. To top it all off, their sweet pickles blended with everything. Eating at Peaches was a great introduction back into this bustling neighborhood that is striving to maintain its melting-pot character amidst some serious gentrification.

Ummm um! Delicious hot hot hot fried chicken. We waited about 40 mins arriving @6p or so on a Friday evening. Wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered a mix of regular, hot and extra hot fried chicken. Crispy crunchy Wyeth steamy hit moist meat inside and the hot was hot and the extra was extra! Starters of iceberg wedge with blue cheese, crispy bacon, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes all great. Sides were pretty good too, but not exceptional. Compares favourably to Prince's in Nashville, so we will definitely return!

I met two friends here for an early dinner. The friend that suggested we go here, had been there 3 times this month and was there the day before. She raved about the chicken. When it was time to order, she just said " I will have the chicken". So I followed suit. Excellent choice. Hot, Moist, and seasoned to perfection. Very delicious. They also serve you pickles with your entree', which are addictive. The 3 of us had different sides, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, and cole slaw and we shared. All 3 we excellent. You can tell the cole slaw was made that day and the potatoes must have been cut and mashed as we ordered! A quaint store front in Bed Stuy with 2 tables outside, nothing fancy. Simple wood tables and chairs. Great waiter service and accommodating to our needs. The bar is very nice and the drinks are originally tasty as well. I must go back for the brunch and bring more people. A great place to spend a Sunday afternoon, actually anyday.

Tucked away in Brooklyn, just off the Nostrand metro station. Great little neighbourhood restaurant for typical southern fare such as blackened catfish and fried chicken with the sides of collard greens, asparagus, fries, etc.

This place is only small but its great, food is good and the property has a great atmosphere. We had dinner here and drinks and it was very reasonable price. worth the wait for a table.

As good (almost!) as Princes in Nashville! Hot chicken is an endless pursuit of mine - can't get enough. Glad to find a place in NY that is close to the real Nashville gig. All sides and apps are great here as is the pricing. Neighborhood is gentrifying right along with the rest of Brooklyn ...

This place is a little peace of heaven!! The food is delicious!! All of it!! A few of us had the French roast and chicken which 😋😋😋😋😋😋 OMG!!! The grits are sooo buttery and creamy!! The spinach dip is amazing and the peaches they serve with your food! I am so going back every time I go to NY!!

I was visiting my friend is Brooklyn and she recommended this spot for breakfast. So delicious! I got scrambled eggs with Andouille sausage, pepper jack cheese, onions and peppers, along with toast and potatoes. Everything was perfectly seasoned and tasted so good! The coffee was also good. They serve juice in mason jars which is a perfect touch. Highly recommended!

Small restaurant and bar serving great food at reasonable prices. Appeared to be full of locals which is always a good sign. Welcoming staff.

The BEST fried chicken I've EVER had in a restaurant! Service is relaxed and expeditious; the bar was stocked with a littany of spirits, beer and wine. Along with the paragon of fried chicken, I had mac & cheese and kale. Go on an adventure and stop at this quaint but formidable memeber of the NYC restaurant bastion.

We went when it opened a few years ago, and it was a lot of fun. Good food at a reasonable price in a nice setting. It's gone way downhill since. First, it doesn't seem to have been cleaned in the few years since our first visit. It's gross, it really needs to be shut down and cleaned top to bottom. The food was fair at best, with ok chicken, bad fried green tomatoes, and a really bad burger. I imagine with a bit more attention, they can get this back to the glory of its early days. In the meantime, go elsewhere.

After seeing a spot in the Cooking Channel and saw they were in Brooklyn, I had to try it. We ordered a Chicken Dinner, Fried Catfish Dinner, Fried Green Tomatoes and some extra sides. Each dinner was generously portioned and came with one side. They even allowed us to have all dark meat chicken where most places won’t let you do that. Naturally, I always order too much food but my wife and I had a feast. The chicken was some of the best fried chicken we had in a while and the Catfish was absolutely wonderful! I highly recommend this place. From what I see they have 3-4 places that all have different menus. Very satisfied. Thank you!

I had the most amazing hot fried chicken at Peaches Hot House and cannot wait to go back. It was crispy and flavorful on the outside and juicy on the inside and was served with the best piece of cornbread that I've ever tasted. There are several choices for sides and I chose cheesy grits which hit the spot.

Love finding southern food up north...and YES they have SWEET TEA!! We ate SOOOO much food and everything was AWESOME! Catfish nuggets, Crispy Grits, Creamy Grits, Kale, Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese, and HOT Fried Chicken, then for Desert we got the Bourbon Pound Cake. I would definitely go here again next time I'm in Brooklyn.

We began at this spot in BedStuy. When my meal was served, I started devouring it. Then I thought, ´Tell everyone, Trip Advisor’. I paused, swiped then clicked. Love the experience. I will return. Maybe I’ll see you.

While we did have to wait over an hour to get called into the restaurant for a table, the wait was well worth it. The food is absolutely amazing. This is a place that we make an effort to go to every time we visit NYC. I wish the restaurant was bigger, but otherwise the food is just amazing!!! Highly recommend this place.

Ordered southeren fried chicken. Was given a piece of the hottest mixed on my plate. The worst experience. No getting a drink or making sure I was ok.

Sensationally good fried chicken (and other stuff) in hipster Brooklyn. It was great. Super atmosphere sitting at the bar, friendly service, hyper spicy food. I had the house specialty shrimp. Amazing.

Probably one of the best places for southern food. Just go and eat, don't limit calories and enjoy it for what it is.

Was the nearest restaurant to our apartment & was recommended by some people already eating there. Had to wait 30 mins for a table on a Sunday night but well worth the wait. Had the fried chicken and was utterly blown away by how good it was. Sides were amazing too - sweet potato fries, mac & cheese & coleslaw were all worth trying. Great atmosphere, good value, friendly staff - all in all a great dining experience. Go there and enjoy

Got a tip from the Bike Slug mechanic that this was a good place to eat and it was a great tip!! Peaches is a hopping place with great food and a fun atmosphere! Well worth the wait!

Have eaten here a couple of times, and can't wait to go back. Super chill and welcoming environment, extremely friendly pricing and VERY well executed, in my experience. Yes, the Nashville style hot chicken is frickin awesome, but the rest of the menu delivers, too. My vegetarian wife and daughter find the sides to be very satisfying, and the shrimp and catfish are both solid options

I was staying near here and read about this place within walking distance. It is located in an area of fairly nondescript shops but is a great little find. A little down to earth neighborhood bar that is incredibly popular. I had the fried chicken that everyone seems to choose. It was excellent! Great choice of craft beers as well. Highly recommended and pretty much hipster free (which is a bonus for Brooklyn).

So hot house is a teeny place in Bed Stuy, not too far from where I live and a stones throw from where I grew up. I think teeny is an understatement. Bu I digress. The FOOD is actually pretty sub par minus the Chicken. The chicken is actually well seasoned and delicious, please attempt to order the medium hot chicken, it is fun and worth it, they will give you water and a cooling sauce to remedy the spice... ....Please not, that Brooklyn ironically with all its southern grandmas do not have a soul food restaurant that pumps out amazing food. I do not know why this is. However, if you try any of the sides at Hot House you may be in for a disappointing ride. The drinks are STRONG and amazing.. And all the staff is SEXY and hot!

Friendly and generous staff. Lovely food and atmosphere.Huge portions of very tasty food. A great diner lead by wonderful staff.

Decadent meal...so rich, sweet and the right amount of salt. The French toast is crusted in granola? A little difficult to get to, but a cool little restaurant.

Very friendly welcome and some nice interesting menu items not often seen in this part of America. We had the fried chicken with asparagus side, fries and Mac and cheese. Southern favourites like potato salad and greens looked delicious too. Sides were delicious and chicken very nice too. I think the chicken is slightly overrated (best in city etc etc) but we really enjoyed it nevertheless. Staff very pleasant and a very nice environment and a nice mixed crowd of people inside. Some areas of this neighbourhood feel a bit edgy At night but don't let this put you off coming here- it's well worth a trip and is great fun. Weekend evenings look mega busy so try early evening on a week night and it will be a bit less busy without a wait for a table.

Peaches serves Nashville-style chicken (i.e., Hot). The heat was perfectly strong, but did not interfere with the taste of the crispy moist chicken. The meal was relaxed, tasty, and inexpensive.

I love brunch. The greater NYC area does it well, Peaches does it very well. Of course you can get the signature Hot chicken or Very Hot chicken but there are many other comforting choices
Slap-yourself good!
French toast with bourbon peaches. I thought I died and went to peach heaven. Enough said really but the site requires 100 characters. This dish alone was worth waiting in the heat and worth the 2.5 miles I walked to get there. Their kale side dish was something special as well.
