Food wasn’t cook . order a hamburger burger well done but was red in Throughout the burger. Service was poor. Drinks was excellent.

Peaches has become one of my favorite places to eat breakfast. I have been here twice and both times I was not disappointed. Nice small spot on the corner. I have always been able to find parking on the block and get a good seat. My favorite dish is the Country Turkey sausage and a cup of the creamy oatmeal. I recommend this place to anybody that is looking for a quick bite to eat.....

This place serves American style food with a southern twist. And..you can also eat heathy here! Get here early or at an off-time because it seems to be ALWAYS crowded. Oh, and make sure your whole party is there or they won't seat you. We like the 12-hour short ribs with grits, and their french toast with granola coating is REALLY good. So is their chorizo. For salad I like the kale with beet and labnah.

This was my first ever southern food and it was delicious. The place was packed - a good sign. However, the male wait staff are inattentive and very apathetic. The lady who spotted and took care of us was however very friendly and prompt. It was a stinking hot day and she kept bringing water which was highly appreciated. If they get their wait staff consistent this could be an amazing eatery.

As always, I meet up with my brunch buddy to find new restaurants to try. She had been going here every Sunday by herself, sitting at the counter, and had good service. When I went online to check out the menu, I was extremely anxious to meet her for brunch to try out the delicious offerings. The food was very good, but this was some of the worst service I have ever experience. I don't think I have enough room here to describe the ongoing bad service by the waitstaff that day. We waited for seating in the "main" restaurant. There were about 20 people standing outside to get in for seats (same as when I left, so they must be doing something right). We were seated in the adjoining building, which I got a bad feeling about as soon as we were brought next door. It took about 10 mins for a waiter to come to our table. We ordered both our drinks and food at the same time. The food came, with no drinks or utensils. I had to get up and go up to the counter to ask for utensils, still no drinks. Ah, finally my mimosa came, but not my friends coffee. Halfway thru, can we please have the coffee also? Never did anyone come back and ask how we were doing, if we wanted anything else. Even the couples surrounding us were complaining. I wanted to order dessert to go, but the waiter took a long time coming over. I finally gave her my order, but she never came back with it. Then she came to get my credit card, I said not till I see the dessert. She left, so we left... Would I go back? If I had a guarantee that whatever was going on that day, wouldn't happen again...SURE! The atmosphere was good, the food was good, but it was not a good experience because we would get deep into conversation catching up, and then look at each other, like where's the food? where is the utensils? where is our drinks?

The food was ok. Nothing different about this place. Maybe my taste buds were off that day but I really didn't anything different. Sorry.

Being from Tennessee, I am often very picky about my southern food but this place was excellent and gave me a little taste of home. I especially suggest the ribs, the grits, and the melba toast dessert.

A friend and I decided to have brunch here on a beautiful Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago, since we’ve never been and heard so much about it. When we arrived, we sat at a table and it took us nearly 15 minutes to get the attention of the barmaid and waiter. Finally as he approached our table we were told we had to go next door to sign in...REALLY! After we "signed in" we waited about 10 minutes to be seated at the same exact table we were when we first walked in. We ordered our food immediately because we were STARVING! It literally took ONE hour and 30 minutes to get our food. One of the managers came to our table to apologize for the delay. I then proceeded to ask if we can place an order of cornbread while we wait and she brought one piece of cornbread for us to share on the house...REALLY! While we were waiting 2 of our friends called and said they were on their way to join us so we asked the manager if we can hold the table besides us for our friends and we were told yes. Finally our food came at 3:30 (order was placed at 2:00pm) and just as we began to eat, our friends walked in and we told them to immediately place their order. Just then the bartender came to our table and told us the kitchen was CLOSED! She knew we were waiting for 2 more to arrive and I felt she should have warned us that the kitchen was closing so we could have placed their order before the kitchen closed. The 4 of us ended up eating from the 2 orders placed and I was NOT impressed with the bartender’s recommendation of their top seller "Jim Cade". (I asked for well cooked eggs and they were undercooked, tooooo much cheese in my grits, it was overwhelming; wasn't a fan of nuts in the french toast batter; I only ate the bacon and fruits). I am food porn and great service is extremely important to me and needless to say, I was very disappointed with this entire experience and am not sure if I will be back to this establishment.

Wow! Such tasty soul warming food! Came for dinner and had to return for brunch. Shall be dreaming of the chicken for a long time to come!

The waitress the atmosphere the food all a++++ ....the asparagus appetizer was so yum....even my picky eater couldn't resist... My daughter loved the shrimp as well as her super cheesy grits....the waitress was very attentive and alert.....would definitely dine here again....I'm also happy the waitress was well versed on the menu options

The food was wonderful, the service and the ambiance was a bonus!! Love the Farmers Omelette I will definitely revisit!

You may find this hard to find as it does not have a sign, it is on the corner on Tompkins and Hancock in Brooklyn, we had the hot chicken, food was really tasty, the extra hot brought tears to your eyes but good. Go between 4-7 happy hour and have a cocktail served in a jam jar.

My colleague and I went here on the recommendation of some Brooklyn locals and were underwhelmed. They were out of the 12 hour short ribs and the black skillet chicken. I instead ordered the Spare ribs and my colleague ordered wings and a side of mac and cheese. The food was fine. Not worth complaining about, but as stated, it was underwhelming. I don't think it was worth the hype, but maybe I just had a bad experience. I would try it again if I was in Brooklyn for another meeting.

Peaches features "Southern Cuisine" -- meaning grits and a bottle of Cholula Hot Sauce from Costco. It's a fun place where PEOPLE are the specialite de la Maison: two High School grads navigating a, scary, unchaperoned date; couples shaved, coiffed and vined like bookends; a younger-and-older sister, one with two energetic kids, sharing brunch; young brothers demo'ing their not-ready-for-prime-time pick-up lines on bulletproof women passing cooly down MacDonough Street. . . Peaches' airy outside space fronts on Lewis and MacDonough, but its wood-paneled interior restaurant and cozy bar is the more comfortable one. The kitchen is slow, the food is okay and the waitresses are distracted, but cheerful. Peaches Managers are onto something. Diners flock to Peaches to check each other out: the young, the beautiful, the naive, the aspiring, the narcissistic, the shy, the adventurous. All the World's a Stage and Brooklyn is the perfect venue. Robert Robinson, Washington, DC

Spent the weekend down the block at AKWAABA (great B&B, by the way) walked down for dinner at Peaches, based on the presence felt from outside. Not disappointed. Enjoyed friendly service, reasonable prices, great drinks... lively atmosphere.

We went with our two kids ages 5 and 8. They both had the mac and cheese and loved it. My husband had the spare ribs with mashed potatoes and collard greens. The ribs were perfectly done and fell of the bone. The greens were delightfully spicy. I had the simple salad that was anything but simple. We shared two huge desserts (the peaches with ice cream and french toast as well as the turtle cheesecake) The servers were busy but definitely friendly. A great place for all ages.

How can a sophisticated restaurant like this not have decaf coffee? The waitress indicated they get this question all the time. She rolled her eyes and says well people just decide to have regular coffee. Except people who cannot have regular coffee have regular coffee. It’s a pity because everything else is so nice.

Black Skillet Chicken (half of chicken .. smoked).. Grits with chedder grits, asparagus... Brooklyn Wings (smoked sweet anf spicy).. St. Louis Ribs (smoked).. Crab Cake sandwich.. Crab Cake meal... Butter Pound Cake with mixed berries (hot out the oven).. Brownies drizzled with caramel with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream.. red velvet with whipped cream... Peaches is worth every penny..

Friends of ours suggested Peaches to to our family. It was quite good. Both of our kids even remarked that they wanted to go again. The shrimp po boys and crab cake sandwiches were particularly good. The atmosphere was very laid back; great for a leisurely meal with family and friends.

Service was great and the food was very good. Each member of my party had something different. And we were all very happy with our meals. We were seated very quickly, and our drink orders were taken right away. Our meals were ready in no time. It may be a little hard to find, because there is no sign out front. But just follow the smell of great food!

This is a quaint and cozy neighborhood restaurant with tasty well prepared food and music to add to the ambiance. Salmon prepared with a secret sauce on a bed of sauteed spinach and fried grits. It was so good. Also a great dish was the shrimp and grits. Just enough to be filling and satisfied with a great flavor and great sized shrimps. Topped it off with a peach dessert of french toast topped with ice cream and peaches...yummy! You can eat breakfast, lunch and dinner off the menu. The staff was friendly. It's a place that has a comfortable cozy feeling. I will be back if time warrants while visiting.

We had breakfast at this place and it was great. The food is very American, but I think they are making it very good and it's not too greasy. Friendly staff. Good juice and coffee.

Had a lovely family dinner at Peaches though service was a bit off from time to time, the gumbo was delicious, mac & cheese was okay, not hot enough, greens were good and spicy, fried chicken was good, ribs were a bit tough. Desserts were all delicious. What I enjoyed most about this restaurant was the vibe of it being a true "neighborhood" place, with lots of local families and couples out for dinner; not full of tourists in from the city. I would go back.

Service was great..... despite our kiwi accents our waitress was very patient and gave great advice! Food was soooo good.

Visited there last night. This was actually my second visit; brunch being the first. Although I enjoyed the brunch more than dinner I had last night I still really like the spot. The waitress was cordial, nice smooth music in the background n just an all around good vibe that promote great convo..nice spot for a little intimate date.

Friends base visited this restaurant a few tikes and recommended my fiancé and I join them on one of their visits. They came across this place on a food channel show. The food was good, the service was slower than expected for a slow evening. All but one at our table of four had the lump crab pasta. I do plan on visiting again to try other dishes on the menu.

Great new quaint restaurant right in the heart of Stuyvesant Heights historic district serving hearty favorites in a homey yet chic setting. My wife and I enjoyed a great atmosphere of younger and older restaurant goers and responsive servers. There was a great mix of favorite dishes. I had the homemade soup, the meatloaf and cheddar sandwich, and great fresh veggies. Comfortable dining at reasonable prices and right around the corner from Akwaaba Mansion/Bed & Breakfast.

I went with my family and it was our first food place in Brooklyn because we are from Tennessee and it was pretty good. My boyfriend loved it! It was pretty pricy for a good amount of good food and had a variety of alcohol for the people who drank. The place was pretty cramped though.

My wife, son and I had a really good brunch here on a Thursday, sat outside, service was quick and friendly and the food was excellent. I had the salmon egg scramble. The coffee was good also, not something we find enough in American cafes. Try this place and Peaches Hothouse close by in Brooklyn where we had dinner a week later.

Server was friendly and attentive at all times. The signature chicken was delicious. The portions are huge and well worth the price. My in-laws ordered cornbread and they were saying it was a bit dry and cold. Other than that we had an enjoyable supper and yummy left over for the following day.

Met a dear friend at Peaches for brunch and it was great. The service was quick and food was good. It is a long trip on the subway from down town Manhattan but worth it.

The ladies and I decided to go to Peaches Restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere. I ordered the Salmon and the other ladies ordered the Blackened fish. We all enjoyed our meals and the waiter and co-owner were very pleasant. The co-owner made sure that we were comfortable and that our needs were met. He was nice enough to give me a choice of deserts since it was my birthday. I have been here once before for brunch. We had the French Toast topped with nuts....delicious. This was my second time there and I do plan to return for dinner to enjoy another tasty meal.

What a great place to eat. Fantastic music, staff and atmosphere. Loved the food and excellent service. Worth a trip to BedStuy for this meal alone.

A family evening meal and one of the best of our trip to NY. Atmosphere on Monday night was lively; busy and good music. Kids' burgers were declared the best of the trip and our Turkey Meatloaf with Mash & Mushroom Gravy and Ribs were fine indeed. Good portion size and thus decent value for money. We have found eating out expensive in general in NY - possibly due to poor £/$ exchange rate - so this was a good find. We felt we had eaten very well and were glad to pay for it.

Ate here twice and enjoyed our meals both times. Both waitresses that served us were efficient and very attentive to our needs. Loved the music and both times it was packed.Loved the flounder.

We turned up here on a whim - the place was buzzing on a Tuesday evening and just felt inviting from the moment we walked in. The food was all new to us as British tourists, but we liked it either way. Our server forgot two drinks and left us alone for a bit too long, but all in all a great place for dinner.

I am in total agreement with Ashley A., and Christina C. I've been to Peaches 3 or 4 times since since last year. I must add the service has turned for the worse. The floor was dirty where we sat, as a matter of fact the aile we walked down had straw paper all the way down the aile. I asked the young lady did they sweep in the restaurant anymore? She rolled her eyes and walked away as my husband also mentioned after he'd used the restroom that there was lots of paper on the men's room floor. Let me also add when we entered the restaurant the servers were all standing in a group talking and laughing while we stood there waiting for one of them to turn around and greet us. The one that decided to turn around was very snid. I requested to sit in a spacious area open area, because my husband and I don't like to be crunched in small spaces. He's not small his shoulders and back are wide. She debates with me whether or not the manager would allow 2 people to sit there. Okay, so I said let's ask him or her first before we decide for him or her. She never asked. I said that because each time that I've come we've requested that space and we got it. Nevertheless we were seated in some smaller booth. It was fine, but I was soooo uncomfortable with the attitude of that young lady I decided to tell my husband is didn't want to eat there anymore. Why??? He says. I said because one we're spending our money and I demand respect from any server of any restaurant that I spend money in. Second with those prices and the amount of food you receive and the taste isn't worth my staying here. We left offered to pay for the ice tea we ordered but didn't receive said good night and left for my other spot I frequently go to SOCO. I understand owners hiring young people because you don't want to pay experienced servers the money they're worth, HOWEVER....TRAIN THEM!!!! You can pick up the fact that they have an attitude and they usually don't show respect in thier every day lives, and they bring it into the work place. We have to train our children. Don't leave your business to be run by people who are not experienced to serve people who are spending hard earned money. You'll regret it and you'll get many reviews like this.

This place has a awesome vibe and even better food. There was 6 of us and each one was raving about their food. The ribs were sensational

Place is always busy, but their food is worth waiting for. The restaurant ambient is a little loud for some, the bottle of water is a very good idea. It's perfect for brunch or lunch

We had a very good brunch in Peaches and the restaurant was packed with very modish people. Service was nice and quick. Waiters were very helpful Only drawback was the too loud music

I have visited Peaches many times, but this was the first time with this group of friends, we were visiting from UK. The service was fab the food plentiful...almost overwhelming a little taste of the The Deep South in Deep Brooklyn.

Returned to Peaches during a weekend stay in Brooklyn. The breakfast/brunch and lunch menu offers a variety of dishes that would satisfy all eating styles. The two of us had the scrambled salmon dish. It was perfect. The eggs were done like grandma used to do, not hard, not soft. Had the grits on the side. Didn't need the toast. Ice tea was southern style but not too sweet. Will be back.

Great food, lots of choice on the menu with some unusual options. Vibrant atmosphere with very friendly, helpful staff.

We went here since it had good reviews and it happend to be just around the corner of our Brooklyn apartment. Everything is hot about this place. They welcome you with a smile, They serve good cocktails in a jar. They have good beers on draft. And our eagerness to try the extra hot chicken was answered by a serious look: "Sir, you really don't want to try". And the lady was right. Their extra spicy chicken is spicy as a devilish deep afterparty from your lips to your oesophagus. Only fun to eat when you have peppers your blood yourself or some sort of Indonesian roots. The waiting line is long. Be there either early or late. As I said: The place is hot. Worth a d-tour as Michelin would rank it.

I visited Peaches with my niece, her boyfriend, and my sister for Sunday brunch. We got there when they opened knowing they would get busy later and they sure did. The food was delicious and the service was excellent as well. Their bacon may be the best I’ve ever had.

The best southern brunch you will ever have in NY. The Jim Cade Breakfast is amazing. The only thing is the wait time bc its so popular so be there at 11am

Peaches. A Neighborhood Spot in Bed-Stuy. Classic American with a Nod to the South. Our Favorite of All the Spots We Tried(!) Blue Burger. Artichoke Cheese Dip. Grilled Asparagus with Turmeric Sauce. I could eat this every day. Grits. Warm and Soulful. Hot Wings. Get Your Spice On with These. Red Velvet Cake with Crème Fraiche to Share. Warm, Friendly, Excellent!

Be sure to write your name and the number in your party, on the white board in the entryway. Be prepared to wait 1+ hours. But it is worth it. Ordered the wedge salad and hot chicken. Both were amazing. Could really taste the buttermilk.

We visited Peaches for the first time on a Monday evening. Seating was quick, however we were disappointed by the wait for our appetizers and our entrees. The food was plentiful and the red velvet cake for dessert was delicious and more than enough for two. All and all it was a nice spot.

Both the food and a drink on Peaches menu. Welcome to Brooklyn is the cocktail you need on a hot night and the food Peaches serve up is the perfect start to a Brooklyn visit. We had wings, crab cakes, cheesy grits, coleslaw and fries...truly food for the soul. All of it delicious. Great service and a lovely courtyard outside in which to enjoy it all.

One of my favorite brunch spots in Brooklyn. Everything on the menu is delicious. Been there multiple times and never disappointed.

The variety of choice was excellent. I had the grits and shrimp. Portion size was perfect. I enjoyed every bit of my selection. Grits had the right amount of cheese, and the shrimp was not over cooked.

TtHE FOOD IS ALWAYS FANTASTIC, THE SERVERS ARE ALWAYS PLEASANT THE AMBIANCE IS REALLY NICE I TRULY LOVE THIS RESTURANT. More Importantly in the beginning of Nov I bought $72.00 worth of food to take out, once again the food was delicious but.... my niece found a piece of hair in the food I immediately called Peaches and I spoke to the manager I think her name was Marclynn she was simply awesome she apologized offered a credit or refund without a hassle of any sort. I can really appreciate good service I WILL CONTIUE TO EAT @ PEACHES because my family & I do realize stuff happens trust me if the result would have gone towards a negative I nor my family would ever go back. You only get ONE CHANCE WITH US when it comes down to FOOD...!!! I would recommend PEACHES TO EVERYONE in fact I'm always talking about Peaches

I visited this place while on vacation. It didn't seem like much at first, but the food was awesome! Try the shrimp and grits, you'll love it!

Been there twice, we enjoyed perfect cocktails at the first time. On the second evening, there must be a different bar keeper, the cocktails missed the level from the first visit. The food was really good both times. Large portions, tender meat, smokey flavors, really great. We will come back (and check the bar keeper before ordering cocktails ;-)

Good enough food, but flavors in the brunch items we ordered could have been enhanced merely by adding more salt to appropriate items. Especially disappointing were their somewhat flavorless grits that I would have expected to be especially tasty with this spot "skirting" soul food cuisine. Also disappointing was my Bloody Mary. While the drink seems to be made from scratch (in a blender?), it lacked much flavor, and had an overly-thick/under-blended consistency(i.e.: chunks of celery, tomato, etc.). In my opinion, the flavor could be easily improved/enhanced by just adding more salt and Worcestershire sauce. Am I sounding like a salt-a-holic?!?

The place is always crowded, because the food is that good. Folks come from all over to eat here. It's in a good neighborhood and easy to get to. Shrimp & Grits are a must have and they have a cocktail called Brooklyn(something) I forgot the full name because I had a few, they were really good.

American food at its best. I enjoyed great salad and fish. Our server Seb was knowledgeable and friendly. Fun atmosphere.

Loved the atmosphere just as much as the food, which was excellent at reasonable prices. Good wine matched it all. Excellent deserts but after the short ribs, the crab cakes and all else this almost (!) too much. Would go again.

Being a Southern girl my standards for traditional or contemporary southern food are high. This is the food that I was raised on! Peaches does it right. I lived in the neighborhood for 6 years and spent lots of time at Peaches for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Egg dishes are consistently great, sandwiches are delicious, portions are generous and the crowd and vibe is the best of beautiful Brooklyn. Close to a subway stop (A or C train), so it's easy to reach.

Always a great food choice in Brooklyn. The food and the atmosphere are great! The service is good as well. It is conveniently located at the corner so it is not hard to find. Arrived just before the 12pm lunch rush and was seated promptly. I tell everyone about this restaurant as a place to eat when in BK.

I have been coming here for the last few years every time i visit NYC. The staff are always lovely and food INCREDIBLE. My top picks: For breakfast - the french toast. Lunch - shrimp po boy. Dinner - grits and shrimp. The wings are also amazing. Enjoy!!

We've visited NYC often, but this was our first time staying in Brooklyn. Peaches was a short walk from our apartment and close to the A train stop at Utica. On our first visit, we had the gumbo -- delicious, smoky, with big chunks of chicken and sausage, topped with fluffy rice and scallions. Yum. The second trip (the next day) we had breakfast. Do not miss the roasted potatoes they serve with breakfast. The staff is attentive and very good looking. Loved it.

The food is always good. They have really good signature drinks. Southern style food. I'm not a fan of the seating, which is why I held back a star. Everyone is so close to one another. They should invest in some booths for a more private dining experience.

This was once a favorite of mine. Sadly, it has lost its appeal. The food was still pretty good, I had the Lobster Club Sandwich, but the "service" was deplorable. I am a soft touch and usually very understanding, but the server was completely oblivious to his job on this occasion. It would be one thing if the place was hopping but it was less than half full. He NEVER refilled the carafe of water that the five of us drank almost immediately. He took 20 minutes to bring us our beers. He NEVER brought our wings appetizer - and it wasn't on the bill. Write down people's orders and stuff like that happens a lot less. Zero attentiveness. I have a feeling that this place won't make it through the summer if it keeps going downhill.

My first introduction to an American breakfast or "brunch," and I absolutely loved it🤗 We got there a few minutes before they opened, and then were warmly greeted by what I assume is the owner. Everyone who worked there seemed lovely, and the food was great. We also got our food rather quickly. It was a truly great experience, and the dish I have tried to recreate as well, with varying results😅

I went here with two of my friends. We arrived and it was really busy. The hostess showed us to a vacant table quickly and the waiter appeared quickly. I ordered a bottled beer and then the pea soup and turkey meatloaf. Portions are big so I probably didn't need both courses. Food was delicious and the service was excellent and attentive. Really liked this place and highly recommend it.

My last evening in New York City and I was introduced to this gem tucked away on the corner of Lewis Avenue and MacDonough in the Bedford-Stuyvesant part of Brooklyn. This gem of a place served up everything from Po'Boys, Fish or Shrimp and grits, jumbo lump crab cakes, to mac n cheese, collard greens, ribs, salmon, meatloaf, burgers, etc. The aura when you walk in gives the diverse atmosphere and eclectic feel and makes one want to do the right thing. Samuel took very good care of us and I was surprised to see his fellow co-workers step in and help out whenever he was indisposed. Talk about great customer service! I love the feel of this place and will definitely be back to sample something different off of the menu. Lump crab cakes with sweet potato fries and Cole slaw and the blackened catfish and grits were what we ordered, the food was fantastic! As for cocktails the Rum Punch and a Jamaicain Red Stripe was ordered and those hit the spot after a fewat meal. Do not be afraid to drink the tap water in New York City, unlike most places I've been it is drinkable and actually very refreshing if you can get it cold. This may not mean much but this place has my seal of approval.

Unfortunately, my experience at Peaches in Brooklyn was quite disappointing due to the treatment I received from the bartender, Crosby. While I was trying to organize my things to leave with my two young children, I momentarily placed a glass on the bar because my son wanted to break it, and I needed to put it somewhere out of his reach. To my surprise, CROSBY approached me in an incredibly hostile manner, questioning why I had placed the glass there. Additionally, she rudely told me to remove everything I had temporarily put on the bar. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in an environment that should be welcoming and friendly. I hope that Peaches can take steps to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and courtesy in the future. Our server and the food was good in general though.

For Mother’s Day we took the moms of our family to brunch at Peaches in Brooklyn, NY. We arrived at Peaches with a party of 8 at noon on the Saturday before Mother's Day expecting a long wait. But to our surprise we got lucky and they walked us right to our table with no waiting required. The restaurant was crowded that day but they could quickly find space for us without any reservations. Peaches restaurant is in two buildings a short walk from one another on Lewis Ave. One building houses the main dining room where brunch, lunch and dinner is served and there is a small bar. While the second building was mostly a bar with a few tables in the corners. When the main dining room is full they use the tables of the second building for the overflow. Both buildings were old brownstone homes that were converted into restaurant space. While, Peaches is a small restaurant it can accommodate large family groups – of eight or ten people - by joining tables together. Peaches is the place for homemade, southern cooking – with traditional grits, cat fish, gumbo, collard greens, corn bread and crab cakes dishes on the menu. They do a great job with their food. I ordered the Jim Cade Breakfast – scrambled eggs, bacon, French toast and grits. At Peaches they treat the menu as a suggestion rather than the rule. When taking my order - even though the menu said scrambled eggs, bacon and grits- the waitress asked how a wanted my eggs (so I did not have to have them scrambled), what kind of bacon I would like and do I want grits, toast or potatoes. What they delivered was delicious. I really liked the buttery flavored grits, crispy thick bacon slices, and cinnamon coated French toast. To top off the dish they served it with blue berries and sliced strawberries on the side. Two others at my table ordered the Jim Cade Breakfast and they were pleased as well. My wife ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes served with sweet potato fries which she raved about. I sampled her crab cakes they were meaty and delicious. We also found Peaches offered a wide choice of fruit juices for breakfast - cranberry, orange, pineapple and apple - in addition to coffee and tea. In our party we also had two who must eat gluten free and Peaches was able to accommodate them. One was a 7-year-old child who ordered bacon with French fries. The other was an adult who ordered a hamburger without the bun. The 7-year-old loved her meal. The adult thought it was a good hamburger but did not think there was anything special about it. In addition to a great breakfast Peaches also make you feel at home with friendly, efficient service from their wait staff. Among the negative aspects of Peaches are its noise level, space and parking. Peaches plays contemporary R&B music in their dining room – which I liked – but when combined with for all the people talking at once in such a small space the noise level was high. I could converse with the person next to me but not across the table. The tables themselves are placed very close to one another. My chair nearly touched the chair of the person behind me. Our waitress had to squeeze herself sideways between chairs to serve us. Finding street parking in that area of Brooklyn can also be a challenge. But, for great food and great service I would not hesitate to return.

Went there with my friends and really enjoyed it. There was a live band playing and the atmosphere was pretty loud but it didn't bother me. Had the best French toast of my life there. If you go, get the FRENCH TOAST!!!

Great food, nice proportions, great music (old school hip hop, r&b, today's hip hop) outdoor seating available if the weather permits

Peaches is a neighbourhood restaurant that is both classy and casual in the same breath. Dress up or come casual you will fit in. AJ at the bar is great. Being from Canada we had no idea what "grits" were. She gave us each a sample and yum we are sold! These are a white cheddar grit. Superb! The food was expertly done and the menu was unique in its fare yet familiar. I had the turkey meatloaf with mashed potatoes with a side of broccoli and bacon. OMG. Wonderful. My husband had the smoked chicken with a rice and bean medley. Also great. A nice selection of wine but not extensive but good choices. The nearest subway station is Utica by Fulton. ( be aware there is another Utica so ensure you are taking the A or C line.) Head for Lewis Street and walk towards Macon. You will find Peaches on the right hand side of Lewis. It is a residential community. Perfectly safe. Although some folks tend to talk loudly to one another on the street they are not upset. Everyone has been really helpful in providing directions. Open for lunch and dinner. We have seen line ups on the weekend. Thursday night was busy but tables changed over quickly. They do not take reservations. There is a bar to wait at or you can order off the menu as well for take out. There is also outdoor seating. Three blocks further along Lewis Street is a Chinese food restaurant. It is only take out and looks a bit intimidating but incredible food and is safe to go into. The dumplings are homemade and very very good.

My sister and I went to Peaches on Lewis Ave for brunch to celebrate her birthday. Halfway into her salad, she noticed a bug in her food. We notified our waitress and she asked “did it just fly in there?” before offering to bring a new salad. When the bill came the salad was on the bill and not compensated. The manager claimed they would not compensate her meal because she received a new one. He completely ignored the problem of a creature in her food and claimed “we didn’t want it.” I’m not sure that anyone wants food with bugs in it. This restaurant displayed poor customer service and subpar cleanliness. Being gaslit put a damper on my sisters birthday celebration. Never eating here again and suggesting the same for everyone else!

Did not eat all day because I wanted to have my French toast from my favorite spot. I personally noticed four dinasosors ROCHAES examine the walls. additionally the staff tried to keep it quiet but I observed them killing two.! So I will be notifying NYC to inspect them. I think they have become complacent BECAUSE THE PRODUCT IS VERY GOOD. Hope the bosses read this and fix the problem and listen to the staff who identified the problem months ago!!! July 22,2018 Bruch!!

What a really nice place for a good old fashioned brunch with an upscale flavor. Love me some grits and I had the braised short ribs under cheese grits in a casserole. Absolutely delicious. The staff were all so friendly. Love this place

Best wings of my life, my took a gorgeous combo Unfortunately, we were not hungry, which was a pity because the starters were excellent On the opposite hand, our waiter was a perfect illustration of inefficiency, it was a pity, the service was incredibly long, he always forgot something... But I repeat, the food was absolutely delicious, may be you will have another waiter or he will take some vitamins 😎

I had taken my son out for his birthday. I ordered crab cakes. I thought they were good. It came on a bed of coleslaw, which was also good, and a generous helping of fries. The meal was average, but I enjoyed it. My only complaint, our waitress circled our table several times to see if we were done eating so she could take away the dishes. Once, I paused while talking to a family member, the waitress swooped in and grabbed my plate as I was about to reach for a French fry, while at the same time saying, you're finished? I picked up the French fry, then she let go of my plate, and said, oh, okay. Was there such a shortage of dishes that she needed to take them away so quickly?? Other than that it was a pleasant evening.

Well where should I begin? First let me say that on my initial visit I loved the place. Upon entry the staff very welcoming, organized, and even in a small space...comfortable. The service and food were excellent. Fast forward 4 visits and 6 months later and I'm was so disappointed! Walked in and no one greeted up, mind you the establishment was just about empty, at 4:45pm I found that unusual. We are seated at a table that was just brushed off by a staff member who was less than personable. Next we are attacked by flies, silent flies that scared my daughter and grossed out my wife. None of the staff apologized for it as we sat swiping away. What was really unnerving was the fact that the booth we were sitting in was a cloth couch and the flies sat on it meaning the couch was dirty, and a place they were used to. The food was served and was excellent as always but difficult to enjoy with friends floating around. No one came by to check on us after the first drop off. We asked for containers, the check, and left. As a matter of fact we could've walked out because the young waitress didn't even come back to get it. I had to wait by the bar to hand it to another staff member.

Visiting family and was treated to a very good meal. The "Southern" twists on their offerings were very appetizing and more than ample. I will definitely return on my next visit!

We had a very good meal here with blackened chicken and fish. Service was friendly and portions were big!

Peaches serves the best fried chicken in all of NYC. Trust me I've been to a lot of them from LES to way up in Harlem and the hothouse wins every time! Ps I like spicy food and their spicy chicken is pretty hot. I usually split an order with a friend and order a regular. Be prepared to wait.

Super Nice place, good food. Very kind and efficient service. Excellent cocktails. What's not to like.

Sorry, i know a picture would have said it all but, i was totally thrown off after the fried fish sandwich was delivered to my table. It was not only huge but it was absolutely delicious!! The seasoning, texture, and taste was everything good. The small salad, coleslaw and shoestring fries was equally tasty!!! A must visit!!! Tell them jeenieconcierge sent u!!!

Went with some friends for lunch. The service was great, cozy nice atmosphere, great food, a bit pricey

Delicious southern food served by a friendly staff with great recommendations. You can tell this group likes working together, which is always a good sign to me. Plus, brunch everyday of the week! Many thanks for a great taste of home!

We had brunch this past weekend and it was amazing! I tried the granola french toast with berries and bacon. It was awesome! My boyfriend enjoyed his meal as well. Not a crumb was left on either of our plates. We will definitely come back next time we are in town.

Two couples enjoyed a very tasty dinner. Were able to obtain a table without a reservation on a Sunday night at approx. 7:45 PM. Very pleasant/professional waiter who made us feel extremely welcome. Storefront place - noise level is loud - a good neighborhood spot. Credit cards accepted. Menu was up-market southern cooking. The gumbo as a starter was perfect. Enjoyed the St. Louis ribs - the sides of creamy mash and collard greens (put the hot sauce on the greens) were delicious. Two members of our group are vegan; they enjoyed the wide selection of veggies as choices for starters and entrees. Good coleslaw One dish of roasted chicken was surprising bland and a bit of a disappointment. Desserts were very good, and seriously sweet. Parking available on the street, within easy walking distance. Would be happy to return, and try different main dishes.

We had brunch and dinner at peaches and both times the food and service was excellent. Try the Jim Cade for brunch and you won't be disappointed! It is always packed which is a testament to how good it is.

The food was great the vibe was amazing and the music was on point. They wait was worth it and I’m happy that I had the experience great job everyone

After arriving at our airbnb yesterday afternoon (11th October) from the UK we decided to explore the local area and came across this restaurant. Decided to go in and have a look at the as it seemed a quaint establishment from outside, as we stepped inside any assumptions we had went out the window - vibrant, busy and the music added to the atmosphere. We were quickly seated (I think we got lucky there) and the food was fantastic, also a bonus as it was happy hour - we went in around 5ish - for my friend who enjoys a beer. I decided on the jumbo shrimp po' boy, after seeing two gentleman beside us having it and commenting to myself how good it looked, with an iced tea and I couldn't fault it in the slightest. My two friends had the fried chicken burger and commented on how delicious it was as well, although a little spicy for one but she can't even handle black pepper haha! We never got our servers name but if the young man with the short/shaved head remembers three women with backpacks and English/Scottish accents we thoroughly enjoyed your service. This is my first time in New York and first taste of it and I was not disappointed. The only downside is we probably won't make it back for a second visit as we have so much to explore, but you never know those shrimp were just too good to not have again. Thank you very much for a lovely experience!

We were a large group of 14. We called ahead so they could accompany us. We sat outside and the weather was lovely. Service was great and everyone enjoyed their dinner. We were visiting from out of state and felt very welcomed. We spoke with most of the other people around us, who were very friendly. This is a great place with a neat atmosphere.

Went there on a Monday night and got s nice table in the corner. Nice atmosphere, not too loud Service was friendly and quick. Food was nice and reasonably priced. Menu offers standards with distinctive specials. Happy to recommend and to go there again.

I love Peaches!! Their food for brunch and dinner is awesomely delicious. The service is excellent. The waitstaff are extremely friendly. I can never get enough and always try something different whenever I go and I've not been let down yet.

I previously went to peaches, actually about two years ago, I absolutely loved the food and the service. Their meatloaf and crab cakes, out of this world. When the opportunity arose and we were close by of course that was my first suggestion. I bragged about the food! Only to be totally disappointed, the food was no longer filled with the spices and seasoning it was Known for but instead was bland. The mash potatoes tasted like packaged potatoes, the ribs, tasteless. An increase in demand should not cause a decrease in quality. Peaches really need to check themselves and realize that food is all over Brooklyn and but an Uber and lift away. Quality has to be valued, the service was awesome but the food was incredibly disappointing.

Yummy brunch...food was delicious...atmosphere was lively and inviting. Our waitress, gabby, was really friendly...so was the rest of the staff..very accommodating. Will deffinetly go back...

A real treat for me, as a Brit I've never experienced real southern food until Peaches. The food and atmosphere feels like the real deal and the dinner & brunch are both well worth it! Would recommend for any traveller wanting an authentic American food experience you can't really get outside the US.

Their rum punch was amazing and overall we had a good meal. The mac & cheese was nasty and we observed that multiple people sent it back. We couldn’t tell if the cheese itself was old or if they opted to make the dish with an aged cheese that didn’t belong. Atmosphere was enjoyable. We went with baby in a stroller and we’re appropriately accommodated. No baby changing station in restroom.

I visited Brooklyn for a weekend trip and went to Peaches for a Saturday brunch. I had heard many great things about this spot. I must say it definitely exceeded my expectations. I had the salmon scramble with fries and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the peach French toast dessert, which was also delectable. I highly recommend Peaches.

I was warmly greeted by the staff who provided exceptional service throughout the evening. The menu boasts a wide range of creative and flavorful options that cater to various palates. While some dishes were outstanding, there were a few minor inconsistencies in execution. Nevertheless, the overall dining experience was truly enjoyable. With its inviting atmosphere and attentive staff, Peaches Restaurant is a great choice for any occasion. I would gladly re-visit and highly recommend it to fellow food enthusiasts.

Saturday Night, no lobster boil. Ordered the Crab cakes. Hard to find the crab. Fried and dried.. Plate is 75% french fries. Food in NYC is expensive. Skimpy amount of crab, overly fried. Very poorly cooked. These folks were just phoning it it. The clam chowder was thin and watery. Like they were stretching it. Service was inconsistent. Best you skip this place.

Where do I start? The service was great, ambience inviting, and the food DEE-lightful!! We enjoyed Saturday brunch and although there were quite a few people there, we didn't wait more than 5 minutes for a table for three. We sat inside as I don't like the heat. Anything ordered on the brunch menu will be enjoyed.

Angela our server was amazing thank you so much!! Honestly the best french toast on the planet I mean it!!!! A hidden gem :)

I was in NYC for NYFW and decided to visit my best friend in Brooklyn. We were able to easily walk to Peaches from her location, which was great Bc it was super cold outside. Us two and a friend sat at the bar in seats that happen to be right in front of the door. That was one downside because there’s no cold air protectant for guests so the air literally blows on you Everytime someone opens the door. I ordered the salmon croquettes with grits. The grits were fantastic and the salmon croquettes were OK. They’re completely seared so no light frying like I’m used to down south. I also got a mimosa which was super yummy. My friend got steak and eggs. Her steak, although she’d asked for it medium, was more medium well. Even though it was a little tough, it was pretty good. Our other friend got bacon, which was good, and a fresh salad. I didn’t try it but it looked good. We got the Peaches Melba and the brownie with ice cream. The Peaches Melba was amazing and the brownie was pretty good too. The service, at least at the bar, was lackluster. I would go back but won’t sit at the bar again or I’ll just go when the weather is warm. Next time, I’ll also know not to expect too much friendly or expeditious is service. Gotta be some of the best grits I’ve had outside of my grandma’s home though.

The food was good but the outdoor seating was not available due to staffing. It was simply too crowded in the restaurant. Why would they pack people in there like that. Was very nervous and anxious.

One of the most popular restaurants in the area, very packed for dinner, so make sure you make a reservation or be prepared to wait for about 30 minutes. Apart from that, it is definitely worth it. Great attention and food.

Just brilliant, had 4 Jim Cade Brunches, who's Jim Cade? 3 of them vegetarian, 1 with bacon which were lovely. Fantastic local Brooklyn coffee and excellent Bloody Mary. I've ran out of superlatives. Our waiter Tim was great.

The food is really good. Because the place is small, the waiting time for a table can be long. There is a live band which makes the atmosphere enjoyable.

A friend of mine told me about this place a couple of years ago, and when I found out my other friend Liz was staying in Brooklyn, we naturally had to go....and I'm so glad we did! Warm friendly greeting when walked in, and though the place was full and there were some people waiting, it was only about 15 minutes wait time. Jordan took great care of us and we spent a good three hours there! Felt like we were at someone's house! I ordered the delicious turkey meatloaf with the tastiest mashed potatoes. Normally I ask for extra gravy to smother them in, but these were so good! I also had the kale salad to start which came with this yummy peanut dressing! Liz and Rob ordered a bunch of their sides, and we all kind of shared. The baked macaroni and cheese was pure heaven! The grits were creamy and the collared greens were sooo good! Loved their cornbread! We also had the decadent brownie and the delicious peach melba! We enjoyed it so much, we all met up for breakfast a couple days later because two of the workers told us that breakfast was just as good! I ordered the turkey sausage omelette which came with these wonderful crispy potatoes. Liz shared her granola crusted french toast which was delicious!!! It was a great meal to start the day...even though it was already noon! Kira took really good care of us and I seriously was thinking of selling everything I owned to move out here! I can't wait to come back to New York and visit this wonderful slice of heavenly deliciousness!

Since we visited three Brooklyn restaurants in two days, I would have thought it would be hard for my last meal to be THIS GOOD. My baked grits with grilled pork barbecue was delightful...I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. My husband said the Ceasar salad and turkey meatloaf sandwhich was the best he has ever had (and he is a foodie!) Everyone loved their salads and the breakfast items were delicious too. We were able to sit in the Biergarten which was sunny and wonderful at 10 AM on a Sunday. By the time we left, it was getting crowded, so plan accordingly. Kasandra was our waitress and she was phenomenal. What a lovely experience.

I had the opportunity to have dinner here with 2 friends. The food choice seemed limited but was varied enough to cater for most tastes (unless steak was your preference). I sampled the chicken and chorizo gumbo which was delicious. The main course was flounder (My first experience of this fish). The fish had a flour coating which had been fried in oil but unlike traditional English batter was not as crunchy. This was accompanied by salt and pepper fries and coleslaw. Too large a portion for me but delicious in every element. I must say a big thank you to the staff, they were friendly and hyper efficient. A must visit again experience

Food is amazing. Drinks are great. Service was excellent. I just wish it was a little bigger. The tables are small and close together but I will go back

We had slow cooked short ribs and salad. The ribs were excellent but the final portion was a little dry;The salad was not particularly good. Our waiter was inexperienced and left something to be desired. In time he will be fine.

So I am from the south. I know my southern cooking. This place was as good if not better than my own grits. So good. The other thing that blew my mind the french toast! Light and fluffy and thick fresh bread. Honey, go eat that french toast..... Now. The location is easy and spacious. The tables are comfortable and the service is great. Price point is average for this area. I loved it. Heads up it gets CROWDED. Wait times were around 45 minutes at 10:30am on a sunday.

We recently dined at Peaches Shrimp and Crab in Brooklyn. The atmosphere is really hip and they play great music. We were promptly seated. The place was not busy for a Sunday night. We ordered wine and the calamari and fried green tomatoes as appetizers. We ordered the lobster ziti, blue crab spaghetti, crab cake sandwich and grilled porgy as our main courses. Everything was very good, especially the grilled porgy. Peaches Shrimp and Crab is a very nice relaxing restaurant that serves great seafood. I highly recommend them.

Great spot, food good, gets crowded around mid day. Service slow during afternoons, evenings, weekends. No complaints. Great drinks.

I've been to this restaurant several times and the food is really good. They have both a brunch and a dinner menu and both are very good. I think the turkey meatloaf sandwich is a must try and their slow cook short rib. Due to it's popularity and good food you can have up to a 30 minute wait, but well worth it!

We took salads and cornbread as well as the nacho chips with a creamy spinach dip. Everything was delicious. Not many vegetarian option (except for the sides) but we still enjoyed our dinner. The atmosphere is nice, and the service friendly. It's definitely some good food! (we really loved the cornbread)

Loved the food and the atmosphere here. I had the grits and catfish, the fish was amazingly fresh and the grits nice and creamy. Good music and friendly service. The staff seems happy here too, which is always a good sign.

Just left peaches about 20 minutes ago.waited 25 minutes for a table not bad considering it was a saturday night.seated with water and no menus..waited 10 minutes or so and watched 2 flies circle around us finally asked for a menu and was given 1! for a couple sitting across from each other.at that point got up and left.its a shame i had such high hopes and is just 3 blocks from my girls place, but i will never step foot in there again

Luckily Peaches was a short walk away from our accommodation in Brooklyn, and we loved it so much, we made sure to make it our first and last meal of the trip. If you're looking for good, hearty Southern home cooking, this is the place to be. It's not greasy and doesn't feel like it's loaded with additives like so many other places in America, which leaves you feeling sluggish. And the portions are so generous, with relatively healthy options if you're feeling a bit heavy after all the food excess! My friends and I ordered as much plates on the menu as we could for our first dinner to share and there were constant satisfied sound-effects coming from our table with every different bite we tried. The BBQ ribs were incredible, the crab cakes tasted fresh like the sea, turkey meatloaf sandwich wasn't bad, and the fish and grits were amazing!! We had no idea what grits was, but it was delicious to try the unusual, polenta/oatmeal textured side. The artichoke dip was divine! We went again for the big brunch and I was in heaven! It's like a full English with this amazing granola French toast and fresh fruit.. A delight on ones palate. The clientele were also typical of Brooklyn, an eclectic mix of trendy mixed types, as well as families old and young, and a few scattered tourists. RnB music from our youth plays out all day and there's even a little bar area where you can drink and relax. Great with friends, a date, family dinner, or even a work brunch! The staff could have been a little more welcoming, but I guess that adds to the cool vibe of the place. Go here!!

The food was great ! The wings are a must ! Seriously ! And the ambiance is really laid back & chill. A friend and I sat there for hours after we finished eating just catching up.

I went here during the week with my friend and we had lunch. The food was really good. They have a section for breakfast all day and I had something from there. My food was absolutely delicious. I have been here a few times but this was my first getting breakfast. It was surprisingly crowded for mid day so you know it's a loved spot.

I went on Friday, June19,2015 to celebrated my niece Serena graduation from H.S. and this place is beautiful, food is excellent, full of flavor. Drinks are good too. If you are a drinker, ask for El Primo. Litlle spice but very good. we were a group of eight people and we definitely will be back to Peaches. We had a blast. Prices are fair.

I've been here a few times with friends and I always recommended it for people visiting from out of town. the food and drinks are delicious. Be prepared to wait for a table on a busy day

Hot chicken and shrimp with creamy grits and slaw. Made in heaven. It would be my last meal, if I needed one.

Gem of a discovery. Excellent atmosphere, very good and tasty food. Love the place. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely be dining there again for sure.

I had the crab cake sandwich it was so good along with the fries. I can't wait to go back and try the salmon. Great vibe as well!!!

Delicious house special of fried chicken with a range of sides available (grilled broccoli, mac n cheese, fries, asparagus, collared greens, mashed pot, crispy/creamy grits etc). It's small inside with no air con but good atmosphere. Cocktails are very good but the beer selection is a bit limited. We waited about 20mins for a table but it was totally worth it. The service was excellent, our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and guided us through the menu. Prices very reasonable. FYI if you don't like hot food, stick to the "regular" spice level... ;-)

This restaurant is always crowded so I ordered their famous fried chicken to go. The chicken was undercooked and was not seasoned well. Perhaps they put forth better effort for sit-in and less of an effort for take out, but the prices are the same for both. This restaurant is overrated. I should have waited on the long line for fried chicken at Atlantic Terminal Stop and Shop instead!

After a long day traveling from Los Angeles, we chose Peaches as our destination for dinner with friends. Our host suggested this restaurant amongst a number of others & we chose it based on their menus' variety. The food was delicious and the atmosphere, laid back & friendly. A must for southern food!

This place is a hidden Brooklyn gem! This was a after 9pm visit and I was not disappointed. Great service-atmosphere was good and the décor was clean lines. I had shrimp & grits with a order of collard greens-what can I say OH SO DELISH-ordered the simple salad & split with family. Too full to eat desert but took home pound cake with fresh berries-so good-very home made. This is a great place to visit for a late night drink with friends & family. Don't pass this place up

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. The food was terrible and the staff don't care about the customer satisfaction. Eat at your own risk and be prepared to be very upset.

First time visit, will be back again soon. Delicious fried chicken plate, best I had in a long time. Great beers on tap. Restaurant is small and you need to write your name on a chalkboard to get a table. While waiting, we got a seat at the bar which was more than adequate. Highly recommend to group/friends/family and/or individual dining.

We were here for brunch on a Sunday morning, so the place was packed. They wouldn't take a reservation, so we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally, we were seated, but it was like we were shoe-horned into our table. It felt like we were literally sitting on top of the people next to us. (They were nice, though!) Our waitress was wonderful, prompt, friendly. We didn't have to wait very long for our food. I had the shrimp po-boy, with was packed with flavor and delicious. I honestly don't remember what everyone else had, but I do remember that everyone really enjoyed their food. This was one of our favorite experiences on our trip to Brooklyn, in spite of the crowds.

I was in Brooklyn visiting my son from Cali and I seen Peaches at the end of his block a few times. I don't go to New York to eat on same street my son lives on. I actually have a list of restaurants to enjoy before I even leave California. It was a Saturday night I was a little tired and told my gf let's try Peaches at the end of the block. It was a little busy and we waited for a seat at the bar. We had a couple of Red Stripe Jamaican beers and shared Buffalo wings and Mac & Cheese. The food was hot tasty and amazing!!! The bartender was gracious and friendly as if he knew who we were. One of my highlights was listening to the Old school mixed with new school jams playing in the restaurant. We stayed and had more drinks just to enjoy the music. This place is a MUST if your in Brooklyn!

The restaurant is small. The food is delicious. It is Southern home cooking. The drinks were very refreshing. Everything we ordered was very good. I had the catfish with a side of mac n cheese and collard greens. It was delicious. The fish was cooked well. My dining partner had the ribs with mashed potatoes. He said it was really good

This is evidently a very popular restaurant in Brooklyn, deservedly so. Went for a Sunday morning brunch while visiting the city and the toughest thing was deciding on what to order. Several excellent choices. I went with the Farmer's Omelet, another in our party ordered the Salmon Scramble, one went with the two eggs over easy. All are fresh and delicious. Choice of cheesy grits or potatoes (I went with potatoes which were wonderful, but I'm told the grits were amazing).

This is the place for a really tasteful brunch. Another Brooklyn gem. If you go on a Sunday morning be prepared to wait a while before being seated, but its worth the wait though.

Very good food, good price. Both good quality and sizable portions. Would defined recommend and would go again ffor family or couples

This place... Hmmmm this place ?! The atmosphere is great and they play awesome music but the service is slow and impersonal, there were at one point of time five, yes FIVE, flys swarming the booth next to us and the food was beyond bland . MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!

Normally, I shy away from these type of restuarants due to the seating tends to be cramped, wait staff are overworked; mess up the order or you have to wait forever for just about everything and the food, when it arrives, is usually cold. However, I gave Peaches a try. Primarily, because my son and I got into an argument and he invited me to dine over brunch as a peace offering. To my surprise and appreciation the food was pretty good and while the wait was a tad bit long, when it arrived most of the order (French Toast, Cheese Grits, Eggs, Bacon and herbal tea) was correct and the temperture of our meal was decent! The food was tasty and from what I can remember the music was complimentary and not blaring! I hope they will take note and improve on the wait time. For me that would be a giant step in the direction of improving hospitality and service. My son arrived with a lovely bouquest of flowers... and while we have a couple of things to work on it is somewhat safe to say we are on our way to developing a healthier and respectful relationship. PS - He get a high five for selecting this particualr restaurnat because 'Peaches' was my play name when I was in my youth (smile).

1. Best short ribs ever, truly delicious 2. Cosy and informal, nice waiters 3. Desserts are great, portions are big enough Music is a bit too loud

The food was delicious and the servings were generous. The server was friendly, responsive, and helpful. The atmosphere was casual and fun. I had the shrimp and grits which was very good, plenty of shrimp and they were large.

Went here TWO days in a row for the Alex Cage Breakfast. It was out of this world!! I love the kale salad and get it with a side of grilled shrimp. I am OFFICIALLY addicted and visit so much that I should buy stock in the place!

This place was recommended by our accommodation host and she was right on. We had lunch on the patio, the restaurant was pretty busy for Thursday noon. I had turkey meatloaf sandwich and collared greens, my wife had one of the big salads, both meals were very good and came fairly quickly. Our server Gabi was around often to check on us. This is a great place to eat.

We arrived early so got a table w/o waiting. Shared the chicken wings-Oh goodness!! I should have just ordered them- perfect comb. of sweet and hot with plenty of sauce. Felt like a good hamburger and was not disappointed- others in my group ordered the turkey meatloaf-large portion, fish- perfect, and shrimp and grits- smaller portion. Very good food in a home town atmosphere.

A short menu of good food, cooked perfectly and presented soundly. The staff are friendly and very good with the kids. The grits were the highlight.

This place is amazzzzingggg. I ordered the granola crusted french toast with fried chicken and WOW! I have to say, it was just delicious. Plus, it was quick to be brought out, the restaurant was clean, the waiter was so kind. We loved it! Also, the french toast came with berries, but I also requested peaches, and the peaches with the chicken were DIVINE! Highly recommend PEACHES! <3 (LOL, the food and the restaurant- thanks, Annie!)

Where do I start? To save you some time, the quick recommendation is you should skip this spot. The food isn't nasty, just bland. A salt shaker and hot sauce were the saving grace. The collards were tender, but flavorless. Nothing is southern about the mac and cheese--it was grainy and dry. There were even issues with basic beverages. The water was room temperature and the soda was dead flat. Our server must of been racing towards the end of his shift because he was hard to find, a little snide and definitely inattentive. Our visit to Peaches was a disappointing waste of an Uber ride, time and calories.

We came here for Sunday brunch, having searched for a brunch buffet to find very few options (especially if you don't want to spend loads), and left very satisfied. Although I found not being able to make a reservation frustrating, we didn't have to wait very long and got a seat at the bar in the 'overflow' area. In fact, I'm glad we were in the overflow area because it was less noisy and the two bartenders/waiters were excellent - shoutout to our 4-months friend! Your singing, service and sense of humour were fantastic. The food is very reasonably priced and there is a good variety. I'd never been to a proper 'soul food' place before and I couldn't have asked for a better first time. Two of us shared the gumbo, crabcakes, catfish with grits and granola-crusted french toast and I would recommend all of them.

Peaches in Brooklyn A MUST visit. Get there early for brunch they do not take reservations, however, it's totally worth the wait and the turn around time was about 25 minutes. The hostess actually came out to my car (no waiting area inside) to get us. A++ We were greeted immediately by our waitress, who was very warm and knowledgeable of the resturant and the surrounding area. The lemonade and sweet tea mix was refreshing and very tasty. The FREE refills was an added plus. The place was PACKED, the music was soothing and the conversations were eclectic. We did wait awhile for our food once our order was place, but the waitress was attentive. A Simple Salad Arugula, toasted pecans, green apple, blue cheese, balsamic Salmon croquette - Light, delicious, simply delicious Cheese Grits - Southern style Drinks, on point must get the mojito. One of the best I've had in a long time. Seating: original location is not large by a long shot, but their growth is impressive. they have addtional outdoor seating and seating in the building next door. We will be back for dinner and afterwork drinks. Great location for friends, family, date night and if you did solo.

We went as a six and each had a different main course. I think the ribs were the pick of the bunch, that's because I had them with a side order of sweet potato fries. A bottle of red strip rounded things off nicely. They don't take reservations but found a space for us quickly, the waiting staff were very happy to explain the different dishes too. Would go again to try some of the other dishes (and desserts)!

My wife and I stopped in here to catch the end of a football game. It's loud and pretty small, but has good energy. Being tourists, you never know what you're walking into. We sat at the bar and everyone was super polite. We felt very much at home even though I'm sure everyone else was a local. Just had drinks. Would stop in again.

My cousin took me there for brunch and i loved it. I came back twice cause i fell in love with their Oven baked grits and granola french toast. The food there is finger licking good. It's mostly always so crowded and thats understandable. The staff are nice but there was one particular waitress who was rude and out of place to a customer and it was disgusting to witness. I would definitely recommend you go to this restaurant whenever youre in New York,

Went there with family on holiday weekend. They don't take reservations so we expected to wait, but we're lucky and got seated immediately. They have a lot of reasonably priced choices on the menu. The three of us shared. A salad and gumbo for starters. Each ordered a different main dish, salmon, crab cakes and a fried white fish. We had side order of greens and mac and cheese. No one was disappointed. We shared the peaches desert, excellent. Service was great, new plates and silverware between all courses. Highly recommend. Only complaint was it was a little warm inside.

Peaches is always very good for drinks and dinner. For starters we ordered Brooklyn Wings, which were cooked to perfection. For a party of 3, dinner included Jumbo Lumped Crab Cakes, Turkey Meatloaf, Hand Dipped Flounder, Collard Greens, Mashed Potatoes, and Macaroni and Cheese. Every item was seasoned well and presented beautifully. Some sides must be ordered a la carte. Portion size is more than adequate. The prices are comparable to other mid range NYC restaurants. Everything is worth the price.

We visited this restaurant and sampled a couple of their dishes. I had the blackened catfish and grits and my partner had the 12 hour cooked short ribs. I have been waiting since New Orleans to have really good grits and this place provided them, the fish was fantastic as well. My partner was impressed with her ribs complimented by great mash and gravy.

Shrimp and grits, ribs and collard greens, corn bread, Mac & cheese, grilled asparagus, and a fabulous arugula w/ blue cheese, green apple, pecans and vinaigrette were simply wonderful! No wait on a sun early eve. Service was fine. Only thing was a bit cramped and a bit noisy. Can't fault people for having a great time. Will definately return!

took some friends visiting from australia to this place...mistakenly went into the bar area and was mortified as it was small loud and no one came to serve us...then discovered the restaurant portion of Peaches was next door. was told the wait would be 20 -30 minutes but in fact we were seated after about 15 minutes......as to the flies and service comments from the other reviews.let me state the following ..yes i saw one fly but not what the others experienced....he was minding his own business and did not disturb us......the waiter who came to greet us was very very pleasant.and helpful but he was leaving his shift and someone else was picking up the slack....no notable wait for service although it did seem no one in the wait staff will ever get a heart attack trying to serve you quickly....the hostess was sweet and accomodating the food was the star......beautifully cooked salmon ....lovely flavorful crab cakes and to-die-for turkey meatloaf ....yummy ...i dont get to bed stuy much but if i am ever back there i would return to Peaches.

Everything was yummy! We had grits, wings, and the chicken sandwich. Arugula salad was fresh and the fries were crispy. Our server was super friendly. Reasonably priced! Great vibe.

I tried the the lamb and it was fantastic! Great service, warm atmosphere. Cool place, definitely to recommend!

We went here after a previous restaurant wasn't available to us. We were seated pretty quickly and they were accommodating of our 2 year old. She enjoyed the broccoli and the cornbread, while I had the crab cake sandwich. Everybody's food came quickly and looked great. The music was a little loud, but it was a Saturday night. Wouldn't necessarily recommend taking kids here, but it worked out in the end. The kitchen accidentally sent out two orders of cornbread, which was fine, because we took it with us and ate it the next morning.

My brother suggested this restaurant to celebrate my niece's graduation. We arrived 30 minutes after they opened. We were a party of 11 and has to wait to be seated. The restaurant was not crowded. We waited until the rest of our party arrived to be seated. The restaurant began to get busy as lunch time approached. The waitress took out drink orders but it took awhile to get our drinks. We waited over 25 minutes to get our food. I think that perhaps they didn't anticipate so many large parties coming in. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy. I was surprised to learn that a "southern" style restaurant would serve a Mexican hot sauce instead of Louisiana style hot sauce. The shrimp sandwich was ok. The shrimp needed a little more seasoning for my taste I also asked for sweet potshot fries with my order, but was given regular fries. We had to repeatedly send the waitress back for things they forgot. We also ordered breakfast. The French toast was good. The service could have been better though. Nice ambiance
Superior Food and Service
I visit Peaches on a regular basis for drinks and a quick bite at the bar. However, I decided to take my wife there for our Valentines celebration and was so impressed from the time we were seated at our table until our departure. We started out at the bar where Jordan, our bartender, greeted us warmly. He is very friendly, yet very professional and knowledgeable. Usually, when I am at the bar alone, my rum is enjoyed with some delectable chicken wings or the Lewis, which is a wonderful spinach dip and chips. After our drinks, we were shown to our table and presented with the special Valentines menu. We both started out with the curry butternut squash soup which was very unique and delicious. We shared the roasted sweet potato salad with kale, pecans and goat cheese. It was so flavorful and yummy. For our main course, Renee and I had the stewed Caribbean snapper with sweet peppers and onions served with rice. Wow. It was just heavenly. Alex, the chef at Peaches, is one of the finest in Brooklyn. Whether you’re looking for a spot to unwind with a couple of drinks, or wanting to have a complete meal, Peaches will have you coming back again and again.
