New Italian Sandy Springs Restaurant

By Dealmaker |

Pendolina offers a lovely atmosphere, especially with its charming outdoor dining space. However, while the setting is delightful, the dishes we sampled lacked a bit in flavor. Adding more seasoning could enhance the overall dining experience. The pizza bianco stood out as a highlight, though it was on the smaller side considering its price. It might be worth considering offering larger sizes for sharing. Unfortunately, the Chicken Parmesan was disappointingly thick and tough. Similarly, while the black grouper was tasty, the portion seemed small for its price. On a positive note, it was reassuring to see management checking in to ensure everything was satisfactory. Overall, Pendolina has potential, but there's room for improvement in both flavor and portion sizes.

Good but expensive, ugly and noisy

Italian-American restaurant in suburban Atlanta. The place is noisy (like many in the USA) and ugly. It offers Italian cuisine, but there are also American dishes. Excellent pizza, with a soft and digestible dough. Unfortunately there are few flavors and they are expensive (I suggest mushroom carbonara and lamb sausage). Among the appetizers, good fish (octopus or squid). Among the main dishes, the Alaskan halibut is notable. Fast and friendly service. Prices a little too high.

Highly recommend!

Great spot! The food was fantastic (the crudo appetizer was incredible), the service was perfectly attentive, and the atmosphere had a great vibe! We will definitely be back! 5 stars.

Nice little place, terrible noise

Food was pleasant. Our server was delightful and d helpful. We did have to wait 20+ minutes for our pre dinner drink, the bar had some sort of problem. This is a great addition to the “south Sandy Springs” restaurant scene. However, it is VERY noisy within an hour of opening. It has high ceilings and tile floors and we could not take to each other for the noise. Please, Pendolino, get some noise abatement solution! If we return - which we would enjoy — we will only go right when they open for dinner at 5:00.
