Fantastic place down town LA. Beautiful rooftop with top views. Food was incredibly tasty. Tuna as a starter and filet mignon as a main course. Super tender and accompanied by fine vegetables and tasty gravy. In short, place to go to!!

We booked at 10:15 p.m. for our 3rd round. Because the food service is required, we ordered one dish and a bottle of wine. After 45 minutes later, they asked one more food otherwise we need to close out. We spent USD120 for an hour and should be leaving. This is the worst place in whole my life.

My husband and I met my niece and her husband so we could celebrate our Anniversaries. We sat outside but near the dining room windows which was perfect because it shielded us from the hot sun. From the beginning we were given thoughtful and courteous service, from the host to the waiter. We tried a few of their specialty cocktails first, followed by some delicious beef and chicken skewers and Brussels sprouts. We were not disappointed with our steaks! They were tender and cooked to perfection. We were too full for dessert, but I have a feeling it would have been tasty as well. I would recommend reservations. It is very popular and the views are spectacular from the rooftop.

Excellent rooftop bar in downtown LA. Even though place was full, there was no waiting lines downstairs as in other places downtown. Great music, nice drinks and positive vibes

Ohmigosh what a great dinner! Gnocchi with pesto and shrimp; grilled salmon; bouillabaisse; French onion soup; Caesar salad. Everything delicious and a surprise in one way or another. Great service. Lovely table overlooking the world. Just...perfect On the other hand, the rooftop garden is ruined by them allowing smoking. We had the great views, the lovely music, and the stench of our neighbor’s cigar. Gross. Catch up to the world, Perch.

My son and I went there for dinner and the atmosphere. He had the prix fixe menu which had the cold cuts( not good) then baked Brie ( good came with Cole slaw) and we both had the streak frites. For drinks just tap water. I’ve been up since 4 am sick for an hour now on the thrown.

Fantastic service. Great location with an incredible view of the downtown area. Easy parking a cross the street.

Even on a foggy night, the view from Perch was lovely. The heat lamps kept the patio warm and toasty for dinner and the fire pits upstairs kept the night bright with a rosy French glow.Even 16 floors up from the bustle of the city, you feel words away from DTLA. My friends hosted a great wedding reception dinner at Perch. We enjoyed appetizer plates of cheese and charcuterie, which included mouthwatering bacon wrapped scallops. Both the baby beets and tuna tartar salad were winners. If you are trying to choose between the califlower aioli or mushroom risotto sides, try both.I had extra helping of each one. I enjoyed the Beef bordelasise, which was tender and juicy. The chocolate pot de creme topped off the meal as well.

Went for my birthday meal as this seemed a lovely place with a rooftop restaurant and bar. Luckily we booked as it was very busy on the night when we arrived. Drinks were averagely priced for Downtown LA, food was good. The service however was attentive, although not on a personal level. The staff were friendly but seemed very busy. We had steak with fries and gnocchi which both were good, my boyfriend and I shared both. We then went up to the rooftop bar after and the views on an evening were very nice. There were little fire pits and cosy chairs as it was chilly.

The famous perch. Great experience especially for a first date. great views of downtown located right dab in the center. Dress to impress great music and fancy cocktails. A true LA staple.

Arrived at 6pm - ordered expensive drinks and then told we can stand in a 2x2mtr sq space - due to bar being ‘closed for a private event’ - something which the concierge failed to mention as he sent us up in the elevator - really shabby service - lovely views but that’s about where it stops.

We visited the rooftop bar for some drinks. Was a really good atmosphere and seating. The cocktails were really good. They were quite expensive ($20). However, they do add quite a lot of alcohol to them!

Love this French restaurant. My husband and I came here for Brunch and definitely will be back for Dinner. Crowded b/c its popular and the Host, Servers and Bartenders are wonderful. Very good Cocktails & Wines. We had eggs benedick with potatoes and Mimosas. The views are fabulous and you can sit inside by the bar or outside and when you're done and have time go up to the Rooftop and have a drink. Music on Sundays starts around noon. This is a "must see" downtown L.A. place to visit.

My sister was visiting from out of town and we were spending the day downtown so i decided to try someplace special for brunch and I'm so glad I did!! The service, the food and the view were all superb!! Even the decaf coffee was fantastic!! I will definitely put this on my list to return with other out-of-town visitors or for a special occasions.

The views are spectacular, the service even better , and the food was so good until I kept shaking my head. I highly recommend the bacon Mac and cheese. The bacon was in yummy chunks and reminded me of the rich Smokey flavor bacon use to have years ago . And a live jazz band played while we ate around 7 .

Great view from the top. Live music on weekends but food is just average. Service is okay. Nothing to brag more than just the view. Worth the visit just to experience and enjoy the view.

I was so pleased with everything! Our first rooftop experiecxnce was filled with great service, amazing food!!😋 I had the chicken GNOCCHI! I asked for an extra side of sun dried tomatoes (my fav) AMAZING! My husband had the Rib-eye Steak (normally not on menu) it was cooked to perfection and the sides were very good together. It was so romantic🥰 there was live music on the day we went (Sunday). We then went up to the rooftop for some drinks. The view is just breathtaking! #iloveLA #iLovethePerch

This is the perfect place for Sunday brunch with the family, with a group of friends or on a date. This bustling restaurant seems like "the place to be." The drinks are tasty (and strong), the food is delicious and the staff is friendly and attentive. If you don't have a reservation there will likely be a bit of a wait but you can go to the rooftop bar to have a drink and enjoy the DTLA until your table is ready. The prices are reasonable for the amount and quality of the food you get and there was a live band to boot. I will definitely come back next time I'm in LA.

Make sure the weather is warm or that you are bundled up if its cold outside. We were sat at a table just inside of the patio and it was still too cold. The view is so beautiful and the food and drinks were very good. I would like to try again on a summer night.

Booked a late table here last week for 4 friends and had an excellent meal. We all took the special filet with an aux poivre sauce and the portion was huge and super tender. The views and ambience are great - cocktails didn't blow me away but that is a minor gripe. If you want a skyline view in LA whilst you dine then I thoroughly recommend Perch.

The best steak in town, fantastic atmosphere, great environment. We come here very often once we think we wanna have a quality steak in LA.

Perch was a place I had bookmarked for years. I don't live anywhere near LA but finally made it out for the day. Reservations: Made reservations about a week ahead of time through their website. They only had a 5p or a 9p available. Chose the 5p 15th floor as that was the only time available. Received a call 1-2 days ahead of time confirming my time. I asked the woman if I could be seated on the 16th floor, she said she'd make a note of it. When I showed up the host said there were no notes indicating that but they offered for us to wait 45min to be seated there. Decided to just stick with the 15th floor. Parking: parked in the structure near the grand central market because I had been there for a few hours prior to the reservation. Entrees: ordered the ravioli rabbit which was rich and delicious. The first one they brought out came with a thick black hair on it so I returned it and they brought out a new one. They gave me a free dessert because of the mishap - not sure how I feel about that. We also ordered the short rib: felt it was a little over cooked but the sauce on it was good. Skip: skip the ahi tuna tartare. If you've tried this anywhere else you've tried it here. It's as expected. Try something else. Also ordered the pork belly for an appetizer but this was not as tender as I typically have tried it. So I'd skip it. Drinks: penicillin and Saint Cloud both great cocktails! I am a scotch and whiskey drinker and both were refreshing for a sunny day. Service: The host, the elevator attendant, the servers.. all very nice. I did not like that every five minutes I was being asked what I wanted to order and have I reviewed the menu yet. Even after ordering the appetizer we were asked very frequently. I felt very rushed to order entrees. It wasn't a relaxing experience especially when people travel or seek out this particular restaurant to try. Overall: the view was beautiful of course.. glad I came and tried this restaurant, but I am sure there are many other restaurants in LA who won't rush you through your dining experience. It was difficult deciding 3 vs 4 stars.

Great drinks, beautiful view, delicious food! We shared the pesto gnocchi with chicken and it was fantastic. Filling and delicious with a beautiful presentation. We got a great seat with a view right at five without a reservation. Ambience is great as well. Nice place to relax for an afternoon with friends.

We were travelling with our 17yr-old and due to restaurant policy had to make a reservation before 7pm. Not sure what kind of debauchery goes on there after 9pm, but I'm pretty sure my son could have handled it. whatever. very gorgeous room, very gorgeous view, very gorgeous people on the night we were there. Fun band. A little chilly outside as the sun set. Service excellent, food pretty good. My halibut was served rare though I was not asked if I wanted it that way. I decided I was too full already from the copius charcuterie plate and the other things on the plate and didn't feel like waiting, so I didn't return it. Also, when the host called to confirm the res, she asked specifically if anyone was "Under Age" and when I said we were bringing our 17yr old she said "no problem, we'll make sure you're out by 9pm." Silly bit of pretention, really.

We have been there off from a long car trip and we expect to relax and enjoy food. And we did it thanks to a wonderful atmosphere with live music, excellent food, accompanying service and best location in downtown LA. We will return for sure

Ok food but overpriced and despite I said in advance that vegan option was required, there was only one or two options on the menu. I do not want a restaurant to cater to my specific needs but would like them to have the courtesy of informing me if they cannot accomodate my vegan request. The food we ate was ok but was overpriced for grilled vegetables. Also, service was quite slow. But the view is nice

This place is very picturesque! It has a COOL view of downtown LA and we were fortunate to have live music on the night we dined. The vibe is great and we had a wonderful server. The food tho is very average. They have some weird policies that they call before arrival and let you know of how everyone must order an entree. It made me feel kinda weird. Maybe they should make it a dish for every person?? We ordered 3 different appetizers for our party of 4, then ordered 4 entrees and a dessert and honestly we were still kinda hungry despite the hefty bill. The other downfall was our drinks weren't delivered until almost the end of the meal and we actually had to ask for them. The drinks were actually pretty good and I may have ordered another, but by that time we were at our 1 hour 30 minute time limit and they were ready for us to leave.

It is a bit noisy, but when you sit outside, it is amazing. The food was great. Had the pork belly and octopus appetizers. They were excellent. The bouillabaisse will very good as well. I have been there for brunch as well. I would recommend this restaurant.

DO NOT COME HERE ! This is not a restaurant I would suggest to any one especially of color or anyone in the LGBT+ community. I was profiled during Pride month & on Juneteenth & will not tolerate the service I received. I was profiled from the moment I walked in there. The waitress was rude from the beginning, and as the service continued only began to get worse. After waiting outside 30 mins AFTER my reservation time, I was seated but did not speak with a waiter for another 15 mins. As I was not ready to order any food or drinks, I ordered sparkling water. The waitress repeated to me “sparkling water?” to make sure she heard me & I confirmed sparkling water. A second waitress comes out & brings us tap water. I was not angry nor frustrated, just told the second waitress we requested sparkling, and also order 2 other drinks and a bottle of champagne. As the original waitress returns with our drinks (not the sparkling water), she begins to engage in argument about if ordered sparkling or not. She spoke like me & my partner were crazy and in a condensing tone. My partner attempted to resolve the situation by saying “It was just the misunderstanding”, & the waitress states rudely states “Yes, it was because you never ordered it.” Why are you arguing with the customer ?! Where is the service or manner in which we should act ?! I requested a manager & she was no help. She simply stated she needs to protect her waitress’s, and there was nothing she could do. We notified the manager that we did not want to order any food & would like to close out our bill. We paid our bill in full & told the manager we will just finish our bottle of champagne. The manager then sent over security to our table and had security hover over us like we did something wrong. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT. They are racist & homophobic!

The atmosphere at the rooftop, was so great, that I'm willing to forget the self-service drinks politics. The sunset was so gorgeous in a late afternoon in fall, that for a few moments everyone went quiet, despite the fact that the bar was packed with people. The chill music was great, the band playing was "walking" the thin line of relaxation but a cheerful bit. I would definitely recommend it, for dinner or drinks, but make sure it's the sunset period. You will never forget it.

That's a must go if you love glamourous rooftop bars and nice views! They serve kind of french cuisine and have a great cocktail menu. When I was there they had a cool live band playing outside. I general it's a very chic atmosphere. Would definitely go again!

The restaurant has a unique view and ambience. It is very cozy and sophisticated. It is the perfect experience for drinks or a date. Just they might be full so be ready for waiting or make a reservation.

During my recent visit to LA, I got to visit Perch twice. We had a birthday brunch and got seated outside. It was a bit windy, but there were heaters in place. The food was very good. The smoked salmon eggs benedict with a side of potatoes was fantastic. We had a great time. It was important to make reservations since Perch is a very popular spot in LA. Few days later, I had dinner there with a couple of friends. The basil pesto gnocchi with shrimp was superb! I definitely wanted more of that dish. We also shared the white chocolate bread pudding, which was delicious! The place is always buzzing and the staff is accommodating and friendly. Our waiters for both brunch and dinner were great. The view is nice from up there, but not great. I think it’s more of an ambience at the rooftop that makes it different and attractive.

Great place in Dosntown LA! Atmosphere, music, view and food, all very good! You access the rooftop through an old building. I recommend leaving your vehicle parked nearby. I had a crab benedict, wonderful!

Sometimes places with great views slack on good food and service. Not at Perch. Our dinner was excellent in every single way from awesome service to outstanding food and drinks. The bouillabaisse was so fresh and delicious we felt transformed back to the South of France. So with the spectacular views of the LA skyline, live music, delightful décor and excellent cuisine, you will want to return to this special place over and over again!

I am just gonna write 3 of the many disappointments of this afternoon disaster. Went to the rooftop bar with family and friends on a Sunday afternoon. 1. Two of the people with me sat down to get a table and since it was extremely sunny asked one of the employee if it was possible to bring another umbrella. The employee took the umbrella that the table already had and moved it to another table. In the meantime the doorman came up and my aunt explained the situation. The doorman asked the employee about it and the employee said that nobody was sitting there when he took the umbrella. The doorman said that it would believe the employee and not my aunt, basically calling my aunt a liar. At that point a very kind guest actually intervened and confirmed that the employee was lying and totally took away the umbrella while two of the people with me were already sitting. At that point the doorman said that if we wanted to file a complain we could go to the manager Jackie downstairs and complain. Yeah right, like that is my intention on how to spend a Sunday afternoon, thank you for your help. 2. When we sat down there were at least 6 dirty glasses that nobody from the staff bothered to pick up. After the first round 6 glasses became 11, hence I picked them all and brought them on the side of the bar. 1 hour later there were still there. 3. Cherry on top: one of the bartenders suggested me a gin for my dry martini, I happily took his offer, but when he poured he realized that it was not enough and gave me what was left, 1/2 ounce, to try. When I sipped it was clear that it was not gin. I told the bartender and he bluntly said 'yeah, it is probably watered down'. Wow!!! Congratulations, you pour water in your gin bottles! Honestly I do not know what kind of business you run, and makes me really sad that a space with such potential is just a total scam. Please just start from the basics would you? 1. Honesty 2. Professionalism 3. Service You might call yourself a rooftop bar, but you are at the bottom of the well.

Used to be a fan. Now, their attitude took it to the max. We were meeting with some German journalists yesterday - could not get seated. Left for good. Went to the rooftop bar of the NoMad just round the corner and had possibly the best service I ever had on any rooftop bar.

The roof top and ambiance is amazing. The restaurant is set in a historic building, which is perfect for the mood. The night I was there, they had live music playing, which really created a very special feeling. I was with a large group, and the service was average at best. The dishes were not that creative, except for the cauliflower is amazing! I would go back for the roof top, not the food.

Perch has a good selection of dishes with a modern feel. Staff are well trained and friendly. Be sure to go early and have a pre-dinner drink in the rooftop bar as it has fabulous views of downtown.

Perch left a good impression. The atmosphere is calm and stylish, easy to relax and enjoy the evening. The seating is comfortable, music is not too loud, so you can talk without any problems. The food was really good. Everything tasted fresh and well cooked. Portions were satisfying, and the menu has enough choice. Drinks were also nice and served properly. Service was friendly and attentive, but not annoying.

The rooftop at Perch is the best place to start your day. With delicious food, ice-cold drinks, fantastic service, and great views of downtown LA, this place is a no-brainer. The environment is incredible and you're sure to get some great pics of downtown LA and the beautiful restaurant. We had an amazing time at Perch! Make sure you make a reservation!

Ate at the Perch for a birthday dinner and the food, drinks and views were amazing. Unfortunately our waiter ruined the evening. He could care less about our experience, spilt a bottle of wine on my boyfriends empty appetizer plate, came back and threw a napkin on the table and left without apologizing. Did not check on us once to see how our meal was and was all around not friendly or professional whatsoever. The food was to die for, great drink selection and the views were amazing. I would recommend this resteraunt to others, however it was very disappointing how we were treated by the waiter and overall it did ruin the evening. We seemed like a chore and not at all like paying customers, was not impressed at all especially because this is a higher end restaurant that is not cheap, so you would expect much better. On the upside the workers coming around to collect dirty dishes were so friendly and kind - very on the ball and always smiled when going by.

We went to brunch in December on a clear day in the high 60’s. The valet service was backed up and made for a very stressful arrival (lack of ticket for your car was also unnerving). After checking in and taking 2 elevator rides we arrived at the restaurant. We had an outdoor table closest to the windows. We had 2 sofas as chairs for our group. They needed pillows as the sofas were very deep. My friend and I shared a beet salad and steak frites. The beet salad was tasty and tangy with vinegar. The steak was good and the fries would have been better with the truffle sauce on the side as they were soggy. Not asked if we wanted dessert. Our other friend and the shrimp scampi which looked yummy and plentiful. After brunch we walked upstairs to the rooftop bar. The location was magnificent. We ordered drinks and sat outside and marveled at the view. This experience was the highlight.

We didn't go here to eat at the restaurant but was a part of a party so we ate in "chamber separé" and with fix menu. But anyway the location is GREAT and the terrace served great drinks with a breathtaking view of greater LA. This has to be a "must-stop-must-see" place for all LA visitors

The view on this rooftop is hard to beat. It was definitely a hike to get up there as we had to wait in line to check in, get temperature checked, then take two elevators up. My friend who is a little claustrophobic did not like the elevators given they were old and dark. However it’s great to see the safety precautions such as masks and socially distant tables. The sangria pitcher was great and very fresh. Overall a great experience and a very trendy spot. Highly recommend!

Loved it. Eggs benedict was delicious. Steak, drinks and dessert all good. Peach bellini was fantastic. Wines were good. Server was friendly. Naked photos on the wall decor, and view is great, with bamboo chairs relaxing. A small band was round the corner. So expensive, but we'd return again for a celebration.

But worth the effort. Getting to the actual restaurant has a ‘speakeasy’ feel to it, and once you finally arrive you are greeted by a wonderfully decorated roof-top retreat, attentive staff, great drinks, delicious food, and great views of the LA skyline. Make a reservation if you’re going on a weekend evening. Dress is casual but not sloppy. Parking can be tricky (and expensive) before 7:00 when the valet service starts. All in all worth the minor hurdles- make sure you try the surf and turf appetizer. Excellent!

I went here to celebrate my friends birthday brunch. The food was delicious I had the shrimp scampi and it was so good I ate my whole plate. The sangria is really good and taste good with the heat but be careful because it goes down easy. The live music up there was good as well. And the view is amazing. Just make sure to make reservations before hand because I don’t think you can just go without a reservation.

We live in Oxford but hadn't been to The Perch for several years . But last month we had a light lunch of four starters and it was very good. So good that we went again two weeks later - and we'll go again. An important part of the offer is the outstanding service - in our case from Drew a charming former teacher.

Hard to beat excellent live music, a beautiful view and great food. We arrived early for our reservation but were still seated right away. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and offered suggestions. Highlight was the charcuterie plate, which was outstanding, we loved our mains of steak frites, and the truffle cheese sauce on the frites was over the top delicious.

Perch offers a fantastic rooftop experience with breathtaking views of downtown LA. The cocktails are unique and refreshing, and the ambiance is perfect for a night out. A great spot to relax and enjoy the city skyline with friends or a date!

Recently celebrated my birthday while vacationing in LA. They definitely take every precaution during Covid. Food was good, not great. Expected the menu to be more elevated then it was. The service by Geena was terrific and the views and ambiance were very nice.

Perch is … kinda pretentious. Ok, Perch is INCREDIBLY pretentious. The restaurant is filled to the brim with Antebellum Decor. There are middle-aged White managers in fleece vests. There’s def a Predominately White Institution vibe … But I’m not the nerd this go-round. At Perch, I was the kid with the speech impediment. No seriously. The tall, gorgeous bartender made fun of how I said, “Mimosa.” Even though I actually have a lisp, my social anxiety was the culprit this go round! My throat closes a bit when I’m nervous and: Wala … another awkward thing to be self-conscious about at a lovely French restaurant. Even after high school, we all just want be cool. I really wish cultural norms included giving everyone a "cool pass". Especially at places like Perch. Anyway, the French toast was delicious. It was the best French Toast I’ve ever had. But the restaurant’s vibe gives: ️Daddy rented us a yacht for Spring break! ️ So my sentiments after leaving Perch were: 1. That French toast slapped! 2. Eat the rich … after seasoning them of course!!!!!

This restaurant is super fun and really delicious. There is a bar on the top floor and a restaurant and bar on the floor below that with a patio and inside dining. They have great music on Sundays on the patio. Book ahead of time as this is a hot spot.

Perch's website suggests it's a stuffy, upscale restaurant, but that wasn't our experience. We were there on a cool night, and the "upscale casual" dress code seemed irrelevant because everyone was bundled up. Perch has an open deck where parties up to about 6 people are seated. Larger parties are inside. The staff were welcoming and present without being intrusive. We got there around 6:45 PM when it was dark, and the city lights were twinkling. There were no candles or other lights, so we dined in almost total darkness. A table candle would have been helpful. The food was well-prepared. I had the steak frites that was cooked perfectly to my taste, and my husband had the rabbit ravioli that he pronounced "very good." Portions were good for the entrees, and the salads were dinner-sized. Sharing one would be sufficient. The prices seemed relatively high, but we expected that. There was a live band playing the night we were there, and we found it a little loud. Finally, be aware that there is a 1 hour 45 minute time limit for your dinner. We didn't find that a problem but a larger party might.

I had very high hopes for this highly recommended “French” restaurant in LA. I was with two colleagues for a dinner meeting and we ordered excessive amounts of food. Despite telling the waiter not to rush us, we received our appetizers and soups at the same time. The highlight of the evening was the French onion soup which was delicious although I could’ve used a bit more cheese. The mussels appetizer lacked flavor and the baked brie came out cold & hard inside! It was sent back only to be returned slightly warmer but without the melted cheese that goes with a baked brie. The main course of steak frites was perfectly cooked but the bouillabaisse was served in a tarragon broth that lacked any flavor whatsoever! We then took our chances with desserts and the chocolate mousse was delicious as was the crème brûlée, but their signature bread pudding was very dry and tasted like it had been microwaved to warm it up. To complete the meal, the hostess had the nerve to tell us that our table was needed for the next seating despite us waiting in between servings for food and ordering a four course meal. We won’t be back anytime soon.

Went here for a anniversary dinner. Valet parking looked to be only $3 more than the public parking lot nearby. The restaurant is busy and noisy due to the popularity it has. Until we went outside to our table where it was a peaceful bliss 15 stories up. Truffle fries were great as well as the baked brie. Wine list was good. Service was flawless. One of the managers took us to the rooftop bar after dinner bypassing the line and it was spectacular. A great view of downtown.

The food and view were wonderful even though it was a little chilly outside. You have to try to octopus and the steak. Melted in my mouth.

can't tell u how much we were impressed with this resturant's view, drinks, food and the amazing staff. The receptionists were amazing. The rooftop bartenders were friendly and made us awesone drinks. Our server Paul was just beyond professional and attentive. The manger Brett was courteous, solicitous of our comfort and made our friend's birthday even more special. Thank u team for such a wonderful memorable evening.

terrible customer service. they were not nice and welcoming at all. food was soo basic, terrible experience. wasnt told clear that you cant sit outside without resevation

Had lunch here today and it totally surprised me in the best way. Super tasty food, good prices, and the staff was genuinely friendly. Nothing fancy — just a solid, reliable spot I’d definitely return to.

View and the food saved the night but the service and the welcoming was horrible. We arrived in the building hearing people screaming at us because we took the residential elevator and not the other one (but no one told this to us). Once arrived upstairs, the table was occupied by other people and we had to wait a little bit. Despite we were perfectly on time our table was given to other people. Meat and wine were good but served in a rude way. They tried to take my plate while eating !! And we felt kicked out after only 40mins since we seated; they told:”if you do not want the dessert now, here’s the bill, bye”. The lift to go away is massive, because there is only one elevator. Overall, I would not suggest this place.

Went here straight after landing and we were a little tired and not massively up for a big night. HOWEVER... We sat down, ordered and ate our food. The menu is good but not expansive enough in my opinion...hence the 4 stars rather than 5. It was quite cold on the roof terrace so me and the wife stood by the fire, warmed up and met some fabulous people. Despite the tiredness, we left at around 1am, pretty drunk and ready to continue to party!!!

There is a rooftop bar, patios and indoor dining...it’s popular it’s busy it’s LA. Good menu, good cocktails and great for lunch on a sunny day. The furnishings are a bit tired and the hostesses a bit frantic but it works.

Booked PERCH for a BirthDay Dinner & enjoyed a Superb Dinner and overall experience. By pure Luck upon arriving we met Lorena Flores, Manager, who seamlessly tendered to all of our needs. Lorena showed us 3 seating options as she guided us around the interior dining room & the open Patio option - loved that Patio. Throughout the Gourmet meal (which interestingly was a part of DINE LA) we had impeccable table service. Wine listing is diverse with striated pricing& a number of specials. We opted for Heitz Cab Sauvignon 2018 & found it lived up to its reputation. Lorena checked on us to assure that all was well & kindly took some Bday photos, which will be posted. Dinner started w a Chef's Charcuterie; followed by Baked Brie en Croute (superb, done perfectly - they will be jealous in Normandy! !; then Beef Bordelais for me & Chilean Sea Bass for my wife and son; finished tastily with a Chocolate Pot au Feu - wonderful. Meanwhile they brought a petite bowl of home made Vanilla Ice Cream w a candle for my wife, Sue, for her Birthday - very thoughtful. As we were leaving we stopped by to thank Lorena, who was gracious and charming. We asked about the roof garden terrace above us & Lorena said "Let me show you," and off we went. Views from the Roof Top were crystal clear and outstanding, peering out and through the glass sheathing. Patio heaters were all around & took any chill off of us. Enjoyed a glass of Champagne and savored the views and the wonderful evening. It was just perfect. Our Thanks to PERCH and Lorena Flores for a most memorable Dinner and Evening. You'll enjoy PERCH....

Full of the local glitterati, can never out my finger on “ American fine dining”, it aspires to be but never delivers. Interesting menu to read but I wasn’t inspired. I don’t eat steaks, - just don’t, but this evening it was the only thing on the menu that I could choose, the other main courses and balance of the dishes didn’t wow me. Everything for my wife and I was done nicely, the staff were attentive, the location tremendous, just now wow factor, My wife and I have a pact with one another wherever we go or whatever we do, and ask one another, “would we go back”, an our decision here was a “No” not because they did anything wrong, we just were not “ Wowed”!

Not only is this my favorite rooftop bar, it’s my favorite restaurant in LA. Amazing food! No wonder they are always packed! Reservations always required.

The service was excellent and so was the food. The view of downtown Los Angeles is very nice. Highly recommended.

Perch food was delicious. Had Beet Salad with Salmon. Cadillacc were good but must get them from the Asian female Bartender. Ambiance and Scene was nice . But staff should do a better job of checking on the drunks. Just a few can ruin an establishment.

I specifically booked and paid a premium for the advertised “rooftop bar experience” at Perch. What I got was a generic indoor room that could’ve been any bar in LA - and judging by how many people left early, I wasn’t the only one who felt ripped off. What happened: Due to rain, we were moved indoors without any option for a refund or to reschedule. I completely understand that weather happens. What I don’t understand is charging full price for a specific experience - the rooftop views, the open-air ambiance, the atmosphere - and then delivering something completely different with no accountability. The “alternative” space: Dark, low industrial ceilings, tufted velvet walls, and absolutely none of the charm or appeal of what we actually paid for. There was zero seating available, forcing guests to stand in a crowded room. The food being served was unappetizing at best. The only thing they seemed to be offering was cheap champagne - hardly worth the premium price we paid for a “rooftop experience.” By an hour before midnight, the room was practically empty (see photos) because people kept realizing they’d been sold one thing and given another. If I wanted to stand in a dark, crowded room with subpar food, I would have gone literally anywhere else and not paid a premium. The parking situation was also chaotic and poorly managed from the start. Management’s response: After I reached out requesting a refund for services not provided, they offered a $200 gift certificate to “return and try again.” Why would I return to a business that took my money for an experience they didn’t deliver, then hid behind a “no refund policy” instead of making it right? Bottom line: When you can’t deliver what customers paid for, the ethical response is to offer refunds or rebooking options. Keeping the money and shrugging is poor business practice that borders on dishonest. The photos speak for themselves - this wasn’t the experience anyone paid for. Save your money and find a restaurant that actually respects its customers.

Perch offers stunning views, especially at sunset. The cocktails are delicious, the food is okay. It's definitely a good option in downtown LA and good live music is always great!

The views here of the LA skyline are cool and the decor is trendy and clean. But it’s like that’s what they’re counting on and they aren’t trying all that hard at the food. We ordered a cheese and meat plate. Probably a matter of preference but I wasn’t a fan of the nut and fruit bread it came with because it was dry and seemed to be too many flavors to pair with different cheeses and meats and nuts and dried fruit on the plate already. There were 3 small hunks of cheese and then two piles of salami and pepperoni that looked like they came straight from a package at the grocery store already pre-cut. That was $20 and disappointing. Then we split the eggs Benedict. Again, preference but I always prefer when restaurants are nice enough to split for you across two plates which higher end places normally do. They didn’t. And it was disappointing. The eggs were done perfectly but they were sitting on completely untoasted English muffins so it tasted doughy. Good wine list but I won’t be coming back.

This restaurant is just not worth the effort. They may have great views, but so does Takami, and they can manage a reservation book, a skill that eludes the team at Perch. I booked a table at the earliest option, as Perch will only book a reservation 3 weeks in advance. I had a client who wanted to dine here during a trade event, so months ago I called to book. They advised me they only book 3 weeks out. So I set a calendar reminder for 3 weeks out, and on May 21st I successfully booked my table for Tuesday June 11th. Today I get a call one week before my reservation letting me know they've decided to sell out the entire restaurant for an event that evening, and want to move me to 9:30. Suffice it to say I was nonplussed. Upon hearing my dissatisfaction, they offered me a table at their "sister" restaurant that I had never heard of, and a table at Perch for cocktails at 9:30 with a round of drinks. Their "solution" was to send me elsewhere, and then ask me to come back more than two hours later to give them more money on cocktails. The level of arrogance was astounding. I felt bad for the lady having to call and break the news to folks with reservations, what a horrible job. She was polite and empathetic, but her being kind doesn't excuse the truly abhorrent breach of trust. As Seinfeld said the whole benefit in having a reservation is in KEEPING the reservation. Anyone can take the reservation, it's keeping it that makes is special. It is not the way to treat customers, it is not the way to maintain your brand, and it's not the way to earn repeat business. This joint is quintessentially LA in all the wrong ways--fake, superficial, and selfish. You can be treated great at other restaurants, all of which I can personally recommend, and all of which are within a short walk of Perch, instead of booking at Perch please consider The Water Grill, Drago Centro, Morton's of Chicago, and Takami.

Met up with old friends and the tuna, octopus, mussels and gnocchi (four separate dishes) and each were excellent. The drinks were also very well done.

This place was suggested to me by the concierge from my hotel stay. Overall the decor was pleasant enough. I arrived at the rooftop and it was crowded and somewhat small. It does not accommodate a reasonable enough people roughly four to five small tables. I then went back downstairs to the restaurant waited for a table which was not along wait so that was great. In my opinion I feel this place is more about the ambience and hype. The menu did not have variety and our waiter had several tables and did not take his time with us with our ordering. He took awhile to come back to see how we were enjoying the food and if we needed anything. He was too busy sucking up to a nearby table that had finished eating and was just ordering tons of liquor and giving him tips.

Place itself has 2 floors on top floors.. lower part is for dining and roof top is for drinks and chatting.. on weekends be prepared to spend some time on the line though.. drink prices is ok..

Location and ambience were just amazing, especially the roof top bar where we waited for our table. The band was excellent and added a lot to the experience. The food was good- steak with truffle fries were superb, braised ribs were great, filet was tasty but the kitchen turned out a medium rare when my husband ordered it medium. Service was mostly a disaster for a restaurant of this quality. Waiter had the personality of a door stop, didn’t fill waters, ignored a request to turn on heating lamp, forgot an appetizer we had ordered, and was just in general totally absent and disengaged.

We went to perch the night we got in to gulf shores because it was the most convenient place to eat. They served small plates that were elegant and delicious. Waiter was fantastic. Desserts were amazing. Kids were happy. Definitely going back.

Nice place, good food-- miserable service. Evening waiters were not available - Exchange of waiters - show no interest either. Demand napkins that never come. Wine for food comes far out in the main course. Ask if they have Irish coffee for dessert- answers that they can arrange- comes with regular coffee with whiskey and cream next to- No regrets now we say this is not right.... All in all bad service!!!! Sharp up!!!!

The Perch is on the upper floors of an older office building so it's surprising when you walk in the lobby and are guided to an elevator to the 13th floor. Then you change elevators to the 15th floor. Then as you turn the corner, the view out the the windows is stunning! We had a table outside. The views were stunning - the mountains to the east, the AT&T building directly across and the park to the west. The staff was warm, friendly and most helpful. The menu had a range of choices - both us had the sea bass with tasty carrots and risotto. All was quite yummy!

It was 7 family members celebrating the 24th birthday of a niece. We were seated fairly quickly for dinner on the porch/outdoor area. It was the perfect spot, we were close to the singer and the live band. The music was awesome. The weather was great (80 degrees), no wind, and not too hot sunshine under the patio umbrellas. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had a Pink Lady drink, very good. The view was amazing. Later that evening, we all went up to the roof top. Our birthday lady had a wonder time.

It was a bit overcrowded but the food was pretty good. The waiter was really kind to us. After brunch you can go to the bar which also has an amazing view!

Our good friend in Los Angeles brought us for an adventure and fabulous food at the Perch. We loved the bar on the roof! It was a clear night and we could enjoy the city lights and views with our drinks. We had an amazing dinner. . . a bit expensive but absolutely delicious bite by bite. We had a table with a great view as well. . .We loved the ahi appetizer sort of like poke. . the Caesar Salad with hearts of palm, and our gourmet salmon with a lovely sauces. We stayed a bit to enjoy the live band, and it made a memorable dinner on Top of the World of Los Angeles.

They charged me a 4.5% security fee but didn't walk me to my car after. Instead I just left the waitress a 10% tip instead of the usual 15% so everything is fine.

The place was recommended by our hotel. We tried to get a reservation at 7:30 on the same day. They only had 6:15. We showed up right on time and asked if we could go upstairs to have a quick drink at the bar before we got seated. The hostess was very rude and said “it’s 6:15” so we took the table. The food was average, over priced in my opinion for what we got. Our waiter was friendly and made recommendations. When we left at 7:30 half the tables were empty, so I don’t understand why we couldn’t get a later reservation or even push it 15 mins to grab a quick drink at the bar before being seated. Seems like they want the image to be exclusive. There are better places to eat in DTLA. Overall the service was subpar.

Honestly everything was perfect! The view is magnificent, we had touched an outdoor table with the best location. The dinner in my opinion was not expensive at all for the view it offered, very well organized

Visited on a random Monday for happy hours, wasn’t crowded and enjoyed the lovely view of downtown LA. Nice setting, didnt try their food but the drinks for happy hour was reasonably priced.

A lot of hoopla tends to disappoint, as it did today. The rooftop area was covered. Looked nothing like photos. Our friends showed up with their four year old. Automatically at the door the abrupt, callus hostess said to us, ‘you only had reservations for four, we automatically add 20% service charge.’ Not a nice way to start our brunch. The server was kind. The drinks were strong. The food was mediocre. Burgers over cooked, crab cakes tasted frozen. Maybe a kinder greeting would have made things better? Maybe not?

Perch had a really cool vibe and was perfect for a Friday night out! The food was phenomenal and our waitress was excellent. If you are looking for something a little different and want an experience along with your meal then this is the place to go!

Lovely to restaurant sitting mostly outside with great views... Perch is perfect name...inside bar always people waiting... also outside is intimate area of couches where musicians entertain softly...sister restaurant downstairs outside Mrs Fish... lots of levels with different eating areas/bars and wonderful Japanese paintings!

Perch LA offers a fantastic ambiance with live music, making it one of the best rooftop spots in LA. The best night to visit is Monday, when Molly Miller and her band put on an incredible performance. The food can be inconsistent—sometimes amazing, other times just okay. However, the drinks and beers are always great and perfectly chilled. For dessert, don’t miss the bread pudding—it’s unbelievably good! With breathtaking rooftop views, Perch LA is a must-visit for a great night out.

Great downtown spot for Sunday brunch with friends. Service was efficient and the menu had a good choice of American classics. My huevos rancheros came with nice fried potatoes and peppers. Portions are not large by US standards but just right for me. Two mimosas and two brunch dishes came to 100USD after tips.

We didn’t have a reservation, just walked up and had to wait. The lady on reservations found us a table after 10-15 mins which was great! Tried the ravioli and fries, my partner tried the steak. Both were amazing, we did have a starter but I cannot remember for the life of me what it was. It is a little over priced but for location, the vibe and the taste, for me it was worth it. The view is insane, definitely worth for a special occasion but not for the average food & drinks evenings. Ps. To the server from Manchester, stop faking some tory accent 😂

Me and my dad visit you all the way from Sweden. Everything went great. Food was amazing, atmosphere were great, drinks were very nice, the view was awesome. But when I got a pen to sign the bill I got ink all over my hands and on my favourite shirt. And I can’t get the ink off the shirt. It’s ruined. So it was a terrible ending on a perfect evening.

Great experience from beginning to end! Super welcoming and friendly staff (only bummer: no "real" cameras allowed), pretty views (show up before sunset!), and great ambiance. Love the comfy, varied seating, the greenery and the charming lighting. There was a fun live band, cozy heat lamps, and a beautiful outdoor fireplace tucked into a corner. Creative (strong!) cocktails and tasty beautifully prepared food. A delight!

get the cassolet and get at french 75 HEAVENLY time here and nice view pretty cool service too they were definitey attentive

Is a Rooftop Bar/ restaurant at Pershing Square Metro station area.reservations required attire smart casual - average cost of entree 18-22$.Greta place for weekend brunch good service and you get great city views!A Must visit.

We had lunch at this restaurant for a work team celebration, and it was a great choice for a special event! The place is definitely fancy, making it feel extra special. The service was very good from start to finish, and our waiter was well-prepared and attentive. We opted for a preset menu, and I have to say, the starters were the highlight absolutely delicious and surprisingly good! However, I felt the main menu didn’t have a wide variety of options. it was a lovely experience.

We had reserved a table for two people for my friend's birthday. The evening was fantastic -> the view, the service and of course the food. We can highly recommend the Perch restaurant.

Dinner was absolutely delicious. We shared surf n turf skewers and mussels and enjoyed it very much. Their cocktails are interesting and delicious. It was my husband's birthday and they gave us a free ice cream and fruit dessert which was a nice touch! Went up to the rooftop for a drink after and the views are spectacular! It was very busy as I expected but the 2 bartenders were friendly and efficient! The only drawback was lack of seating and standing room due to a private party on half the rooftop. Overall, very nice experience.

The food was amazing and the view was a plus! Definitely a great spot for a date night. The only down side to the experience was our server Rosalind. I feel like there’s a way to give great customer service without stepping over boundaries. She was being way too friendly with my partner and wouldn’t stop making too much eye contact acting as if I wasn’t present as well. If I return I would make sure to request a different server.

Perch could'nt do nothing wrong. The food and the service was amazing. We shared the salad with the hearts of palm and the pork belly with the maple glaze. Both were delicious. For dinner we had the seabass and the braised short ribs.AMAZING! The manager(JR Nilluang) came by to check on us and even gave us a tour of the rooftop bar.He also recommended the private area if wanted to bring a group back for the prix fix menu.We will definitely be back because of his great customer service and the wonderful tasting dishes.P.S we flew in from Georgia for a Laker game.I made the reservation a month before because of the great reviews.

This is a repeat visit as we were headed to the LA Master Choral's Sing-a-Long Messiah. The restaurant is a quick Uber to the Disney Concern Hall. We were a bit early, yet we were easily seated on the terrace with a wonderful view. The French onion soup was tasty and the Chilean Sea Bass with risotto was yummy! Strongly recommend as a great place for dinner when you are in downtown LA!

I would’ve given this 5 stars because the food was spectacular & so was the eclectic atmosphere but the seating was uncomfortable. We had a business dinner for 6 people & our first table was in the bar area at an old dining table with old wood chairs. It was too loud so they accommodated us by moving us to the patio. The table we got was short in height an with small iron uncomfortable chairs - a patio set probably bought at a yard sale! We had 2 men over 6 ft. tall & both had to sit awkwardly during dinner. We laughed that we were sitting at the kids table during a holiday dinner. The food made up for the bad seating though, definitely try the truffle fries & brussel sprouts! Majority of us had the filet & one had the scallops, all were great dishes & cooked to perfection. It is a cool building & atmosphere but management change your seating!!

Honestly a great atmosphere. It gets a bit crowded so coming earlier in the night is definitely a must!! Great views, good drinks, good food! Its really not as expensive as other bars in LA. They had some live music going and the weather was perfect. Great experience overall.

Go there for a drink. Unexpected pleasure. Love seeing the city at night. Great vibe. Get a drink from the inside bar and bring it to the rooftop.

Great place to be, really amazing!!! A lovely place to spend the night enjoying a great meal and drinks. Try the steak and fries

Wonderful locale to enjoy the city skyline. Highly recommend for drinks with a view but can't comment on the food.

The location and ambiance of the restaurant was amazing. We sat outside and the temperature was perfect. When the live music started upstairs at the bar, you could hear it in the restaurant too and it was nice. The food was good. My boyfriend had the pork belly to start with and the rabbit ravioli as his main. I had the steak frites and bacon Mac and cheese. Both were very good. The fries had a Parmesan sauce that covered them. It added flavor, but made the fries soggy. We had a trio of sorbets for dessert. Those were delicious. We had the lemon and raspberry sorbets and the mocha gelato. Our waiters were attentive, but seemed slightly annoyed from the beginning. Overall, we had a nice time and I would recommend that others try it if not for the ambiance alone.

The portion sizes were massive! The food was good and the service was okay. The best part is the view and location plus the bar upstairs.

Following a recommendation we visited Perch during our visit to LA in May. It was really busy when we arrived but we managed to get a seat at the bar- which worked out well as it meant our glasses were never empty & we got to chat to the bar staff who were very amusing. Great cocktails, food was good & service was prompt.

Starting with the fact that I have no enough words to express how satisfied and thankful i was yesterday with the excellent service from Eren (hopefully spelling the name correctly)! The restaurant is gorgeous with amazing views. If you guys are wine lovers treat yourself with Scheid!!! I'm in the service industry too and i was amazed by Eren's service honestly, one more time big thanks to him!

The map is limited and the service is deplorable. One entry was forgotten and everything happened at the same time on the table. Too expensive for what it is

This restaurant was walking distance from our hotel so we made a reservation. We arrived a little early but we were sat immediately. The hostess was really nice. We sat on the rooftop. Our waitress was great and attentive. Food was delicious. Overall a great experience with the views and ambiance.

Lovely atmosphere with live musicians...drinks good even if they fill them to the top! Ambiance fun - great location seating mostly outside...they have heaters and blankets...staff really nice and helpful...

Overall an impressive place with great views and good food. We did have two things that didn't sit well. First, we ordered a side of truffle fries and they arrived with no truffle at all. I can count on one hand the number of food dishes in my life I have sent back, but I did this time. They got it right the second time. Second, this place charges a 4.5% COVID-19 safety tax that is supposedly used for safety and security. This is a high end restaurant, I think it can afford to pay for its own operating costs. I have never seen this anywhere else.

We were on holiday in LA recently. A friend who lives locally made dinner reservations at Perch. We had a table with a rooftop view. And the view was phenomenal! Sadly I think the view is the only thing you would come here for. The waitress had very poor customer service. Her attitude was that she could care less about our table. When we made enquiries about food or drink, she said she would ask the chef of the kitchen. Then when she next came back and didn't answer our queries, we asked if she had received any answers. It was very obvious that she hadn't asked the chef or kitchen and just made up responses. The charcuterie board was like something I could buy at a local corner store - very basic and uninteresting cheese, meat, fruit. Nothing special. I will say that the live music was wonderful! Very talented female vocalist. If I came back here it would only be for drinks and the view.

Great experience dining here on hols from lreland .Loved view of L A , and cool vibe , lots of young trendy people! The seafood risotto was v good .

Had a table booked for an anniversary meal.. 830 on a Thursday evening. Arrived and it was packed. We were a few mins early and told the table would be ready close to half past and to go grab a drink at the bar. We both had a cocktail which were great. It got to 855pm & I asked how long for the table to be told they were still waiting for a few diners to finish. I advised we would be leaving as seemed pointless to have a reservation system. We were on our way out when one of the team (Aaron) apologised and advised he would fix this in 30 seconds, which he did! We were promptly seated and given complimentary drinks and snacks which was a great gesture. From then in the evening was great. The food is fantastic and would highly recommend. It's just a shame about the initial experience - appreciate restaurants get busy but don't book tables if you can't accommodate. Issue resolved though and meal was great

Came here for dinner and we were seated on the porch/outdoor area. Most days I think it would've been ok but it was pretty breezy and cold that day. Would have given them 5-Stars if they just had more heaters to keep guests comfortable. Food was excellent and for an LA spot was quite reasonably priced. They also have a cool rooftop bar. Very nice vibe. Hope to visit again in warmer weather.

Having emailed a few weeks before to check that children were catered for I received a reply explaining that although no child’s menu, we would be able to order from the delivery menu and sent a link. So I went ahead and booked. On arrival I was told that children were not catered for. We were offered one drink for the entire duration. Nobody came to take our plates away. Then to top it off a 20% tip was added to the bill!!!! Absolutely ruined what was meant to be a lovely family evening meal. Would never recommend to anyone.

My hubby surprised me with an amazing dinner last night at Perch. First off the view is AMAZING! and the service was fantastic! The food also followed suit! We love the onion soup and shared the special which was a boneless ribeye with green beans (and we sub the mashed potatoes for the truffle fries - you have to have these)

The atmosphere and ambiance is amazing. The view is wonderful. The food and drinks are excellent. The service staff are very friendly and attentive.

To begin upon arrival, a valet is available for your car. Very convenient. Once inside the building it is rather tricky to locate the restaurant in that the journey requires two separate elevators. But once you actually get there, you will be delighted. The atmosphere is lovely. The food was very good. Our server, Malia, was wonderful and she is what we will remember. Spunky and helpful. We had plans for after leaving Perch, and we feared that parking would require change in a meter. We had no change and Perch doesn't deal with change. Malia walked around asking other staff to break our dollar! Far above and beyond in customer service!

Perch has been of one of those places I’d only heard about and never been. I’m not much for night life these days but they serve a standard brunch menu with a lot of healthy offerings. My friend was celebrating her birthday so I finally got to try Perch. We had a reservation at 11 am. I drove up from OC and parked in a nearby lot. I didn’t want to try and find a meter if I could help it. Getting to the top is a little tricky. There’s a person in the lobby that will direct you to the 13th floor. Then you have to get into another elevator to the 15th where the restaurant is. The Rooftop bar is up on the 16th. We dined outside on the 15th floor with a clear view of DTLA. We decided to share a pitcher of Sangria ($29) and it a great choice. My friend and I decided to split the French toast ($13) and Three-egg omelette ($12). The omelette was made with mushrooms, spinach, and cheese; it was served with a side of potatoes. The French toast came with Vermont maple syrup and fresh berries. The French toast had a doughy texture much like a croissant but it was really good. The service was great. We had waters on the table for the entire party and had to add an extra chair because we had an unexpected addition to our party. The staff accommodated us without issue. There is something to be said about dining in the open air for brunch. It’s refreshing and fun. They even have a live jazz band. After our meal, we trekked upstairs for more amazing views and another drink. It’s definitely something to check out if you’re visiting LA on a beautiful spring day.

This eclectic spot was great. Our server, Marissa, was wonderful! The food was great and the service was exceptional. Live music too! It was a little loud at first but the bar cleared out.

Went for dinner with a view on a Saturday night. Definitely got a view, beautiful views of downtown LA. Drinks where good, but the food was just OK. I had the steak frites, my boyfriend had the gnocchi. The food came out surprising fast which I am not sure is a good thing for as busy they were . My steak was good, but the fries where drenched in a truffle cheese sauce which made them soggy and they got cold quickly. My boyfriend's gnocchi was good, but nothing to get super excited about. We had the almond cake for dessert which was just OK, it was a huge slice of cake. The cake was dry, the ice cream on top was great and much needed to balance the dryness. Everything came out so fast that our whole dining experience was about 45 minutes, which again not sure if that is good or bad. Interesting side note, we had a reservation and I received a confirmation call a few hours before dinner where I was told very directly that the attire is smart casual, no athletic or beach wear. While there I noticed several people wearing straight up work out/gym wear, yet no one said anything to them. Just a weird note.

I came back once more to have brunch and had a superb experience. Came with a friend at 11:30am on a Sunday for brunch and waited a bit but was taken to our table after a few minutes of hanging out by the hostess stand. The people were kind enough to direct us to where Perch is located as we went up the elevator. (Side note - press the bottom button when going up the elevator from the 13th to 15th floor since the top one is for the firemen). Service - Our waiter David was excellent. He was very warm and personable, and fun to chat with. He also made sure to keep coming by to check in on if we needed everything, kept our water glasses full, had our plates cleared promptly, and also anticipated our needs before we asked. He was definitely a hoot and is really good at his job. Food - We got some mimosas (it’s brunch - we had to) which were well-crated and the strawberry on the stick was sweet. My friend also got the cappuccino which she really enjoyed (very light and fluffy but not too sweet). We split the cheese truffle fries for an appetizer and that was certainly a highlight. The fries were so crispy despite being covered in a cheesy truffle sauce. When it came out, you could see how piping hot the dish was through the steam rising. I had the crab Benedict, which came with breakfast potatoes and was made of blue crab. I was pretty full after the fries so I boxed most of my food to take home afterwards. We ended the meal with the pot du creme - highly recommend getting this. I had to close my eyes when eating this - it was so delectable. It was very smooth, almost like a mousse, and contested with a smattering of coarse sea salt on the top. There were fresh berries that popped in your mouth that accompanied it, and it came in three dollops. Ambiance - Really pretty views of DTLA and a live band makes Perch a really classy place to have brunch. The weather was great (thanks LA) and when it got too sunny, they brought out shading to cover our eyes. Miscellaneous - valet parking is available for $13 cash, $14 card. You can also park at the garage across the street for $9. Bathrooms are available in the back and I’d recommend dressing nicely because this is a cute spot to take pics, although some people had athleisure on. Overall, so glad I came back to try Perch during the daytime. It was such a good experience with excellent service, top-notch food, and pretty views.

My husband brought me there for our 17 anniversary as he knows that I am a gourmet... and French so.... The Perch fitted the bill. I loved the atmosphere of it, all people there are happy to enjoy the food of the Chef and we surely did. We had a pleasant conversation with the tables next to us and with the staff. I ordered - the OCTOPUS and asked if it was a European octopus and surely it was from Spain. Yummy! Loved the fennel citrus salad accompaniment. vaudovan, fennel citrus salad, campari tomatoes, crème fraîche - $19 - The BABY BEET Salad was puuurfect! - The SCALLOPS, fresh, crisp and delicious sunchoke-parsnip puree, fresh pea salad, citronette $34 arugula, endive, candied hazelnuts, blue cheese, banyuls vinaigrette $14 My only "deception" was that I did not find any duck dish on the menu and I adore duck "confit de canard"... in case the Establishment would read this and you can go to AAA food source in Van Nuys, they provide French food for restaurant and you can ask Laurent and say Valerie sent you! THank you, we had a wonderful dinner and time.

Beautiful view of the LA skyline... good place to have a drink.... bar needs to be more efficient on a busy night...

This is a great rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of Los Angeles. The atmosphere is very romantic and I think it is perfect for dates and anniversaries. The cocktails were delicious and the music was fashionable, giving me an extraordinary feeling. The food is delicious, but I felt it was a bit expensive considering the scenery included. Reservations are essential as it gets quite crowded on weekends. If the atmosphere is important, this is a very satisfying shop.

The food was excellent, the views offered by the place are unique, THE BEST WAS THE SERVICE OF DAVID, our waiter, we left everything in his hands and the experience at Perch was unmatched. 100% recommended. I would return to this place without hesitation.

Not far from my home but dont visit as often as I used to. Best French Toast and rooftop brunch hands down with spectaculat views of Downtown LA. Make reservations far in advance for weekends.

Beautiful rooftop restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. The only thing better than the delicious food (my partner was in heaven over the Chilean Sea Bass) was the excellent service (including having blankets ready for diners sitting outside on a chilly night). Add to this a very professional and personable manager, a great singer, and a chill DJ, and this was a night to remember. We will definitely be back.

Perch LA is supposed to be a high end restaurant in Downtown Los Angeles. It does have some patio dining areas with nice views of the city. After making my reservation, I received messages warning about their rules, including upscale casual dress code, check in procedures, etc. The building lobby was dark and non-welcoming. I took an elevator to the 13th floor then another elevator to the 15th floor. The passageway was dated and unpleasant. The main dinning room and the bar looked out of style. My table was in the middle of the walkway in the patio area, very uncomfortable. The service was below average. The food was just average. The jazz singer was below average. They even charged a 4.5% Security Fee which I asked them to remove it. Well, they could have charged me for Elevator Fee, Entertainment Fee, City Lights Viewing Fee, etc. Upscale casual dress code? There was a 7 years old kid with sport jersey and short, running around. There were customers wearing T-shirts and jeans. They also managed to have the worst valet attendants. Perch is running down like the entire downtown area. There are many better restaurants in the same area. Perch is off my dining list.

Absolutely cannot understand the 4 and 5 star reviews that Perch has received. This is strictly a scene, and certainly not a serious restaurant. Although the view is nice, it certainly isn’t enough of a reason to put up with the general discomfort of this restaurant. We went on a cool and breezy evening, and were very uncomfortable. The seating is not comfortable, there are insufficient heaters, and the protective wind screens are kept up to provide “the view”. The food was simply ok; very mediocre and certainly not even in the same league as so many of the newer restaurants downtown. If you want to view “the view” and see “the scene” stop by for a cocktail, but don’t even consider going to Perch if you want to have anything better than barely an okay dining experience. (By the way, the management staff and servers are very professional and nice!)

My sister and I were so looking forward to taking her student daughter to Perch for a very special dinner. The place is stunning, the drinks were delicious, the charcuterie was perfect, and two out of the three main courses were good (the Chilean sea bass was seriously under cooked). Our problem was with the service. Our server was more focused on being charming than giving good service. I had a gut feeling that we shouldn't have ordered all of our food at once and I was right. Our soup and charcuterie all came out at once. When we weren't even halfway through those things, the kitchen brought out our main courses, and when I mentioned this, they left the main courses anyway. When our server brought our wine out, he expressed surprise that the main courses were already out He's the one who should have been aware of the timing!! When I agreed with him that the food came out too quickly, he didn't even apologize. He never came back to check on our meals, or remove the soup bowls or our main course plates when we were finished, and we sat there for a long time with a table full of dirty dishes before he brought the check. While most of the food at Perch was good, we left upset after having a truly disappointing experience.

Excellent cocktails. Food was good. Service fast and friendly. Bar is very popular. Reservations a must to get a table.

Excellent seafood restaurant with a bunch of friendly staff! Paid a visit with the friends for a meal and the food was exceptional especially the crab and caviar. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

One arrives in the entry of the office building that is topped by Perch. One checks in there and then secures access to the elevator that takes you up to the 13 floor, yup they actually have a 13th floor. You then are escorted to another elevator that takes you to the 15. The interior of the restaurant has large windows looking onto the ample size outdoor seating. There is plenty protection by the umbrellas that are generously placed on the patio. The brunch menu is diverse so one is certain to find something tasty. We split the salmon benedict and French toast. Both were ample in size and very yummy. The cocktails menu had lots of choices. I saw that there had been complaints about service, that was not our experience. Our server was very attentive.

Make sure to go on the rooftop for amazing cocktails, views, and pictures. Sit by the fire pits, if it is too cool outside. Go down one floor and experience a great French dinner. Try the steak and shrimp brochette with arugula salad!

We loved the venue: great view of DTLA in a beautiful warm and traditional setting. The food was delicious, we can recommend the steak&frites, the salmon and the delicious sides sich as the Brussels sprout and the mac&cheese. We came quite early so we could enjoyed the HH drinks and snacks (highly recommended too). Service was attentive and friendly. We dined during the sunset and stayed long enough to enjoy the live music: great choice and great voice! A great experience all around!

We ent on a chillier day and after enjoying the view for a brief time, the protective wind shields came down. Cocktails were great here and the plate Provençal was good.

The restaurant is actually beautiful and I've been twice before but today was very distasteful. Upon entry my server was very stand off and had a slight demeanor about her. We sat down and had started taking pictures on my Polaroid and didn't look at the menu so when approached I told her "honestly We didn't look at the menu yet" she offered water and She had asked if me and my boyfriend wanted sparkling bottled or tap and I said sparkling (she was walking away) she said okay but they brought tap. I asked another server 15 minuets later she was about to refill the water "I actually asked for sparkling" she said "apologies I'll be right back". The original young lady serving (table 104 becfore Chris arrived late) came back and said "you ordered sparkling?" I said "yes" she said "you didn't order that from me" it turned into an argument on if I ordered sparkling or not (mind you we had order drinks so she serving them at this time), to the point I stated "it must have been a miss communication" her response with an attitude was "yes it must have been a miscommunication" and I responded "why are we talking about this, can you get my water please" she stated "she is getting it for you now then walked away" I noticed her talk to her manager of the day and after several times of her walking by our table and me asking another server for the manager it still was kind of dismissive. I stated to the manager everything above, she stated that the girl felt we were hostile before we were sat and also stated she wasn't our server to later state she switched our servers when I told her this experience is just displeasing to me. I then told her to close my bill and I will just finish the bottle of champagne I've purchased which was done, but they then had someone watch us drink our champagne threaten to forcefully remove us before the bottle was even finished... I feel like we were pre-judge and given poor service in treatment because we came dressed casually and are African American and gay so they assumed a certain type of character and gave a pre-judge disgusting service! I WILL POST THE VIDEO OF THE MAN THE HAD STAND NEXT TO IS AND PATRONIZE US AND TRY TO FORCEFULLY REMOVE US! @PERCHLosAngeles

Perch is one of the finest rooftop restaurant and bar located in downtown Los Angeles, California. It offers stunning views of the city skyline and is known for its French-inspired cuisine and cocktails. Perch features both indoor and outdoor seating, making it a popular spot for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. The restaurant often hosts live music and has a relaxed, upscale atmosphere. It's a great place to enjoy a meal while taking in the panoramic views of Los Angeles.

Nice place, friendly staff, a rooftop that truly lived up to expectations. Perhaps the only thing is a not very varied menu, but everything else is worth it. The live music was also great. Top view, I recommend going at sunset, there is a beautiful light. Highly recommended!!!

My husband and I celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary At Perch before heading to a play at the Ahmanson. It was wonderful. From the Valet parking to the Deco Bldg. 2 elevator ride to the roof! Everyone was in a great mood and helpful. Adults of all ages mingling and sipping amazing cocktails, even a few Celebs were spotted. We were promptly seated for our reservation at a nice table with a view of the LA skyline , Our server Caitlin was awesome. we ordered 2 appetizers the baked Brie & the Surf & Turf skewers, so good I could have made a meal of these, and she suggested a rib eye special for the evening, that was delicious and perfect for a warm summer on the terrace. Of course since we were celebrating we ordered dessert , a Creme Brulee and A chocolate Pot du Creme with summer berries and coffee. service was not rushed and we enjoyed the live jazz and people watching. Noise level can be up there, but its upbeat energy! Our bill arrived and our server said, The manager has comped the coffee and desserts Happy Anniversary! Nice touch! We hope to return for their weekend brunch with friends. Stay Classy Perch!!

Prior to this night, the last visit was at least six years ago, and this restuarant is still top notch. The food was superb and consistent, the music and ambiance is above the mark compared to other rooftop experiences. Yuna was our delightful waitress - fantastic in everyway, made the dinner even better. The bus boys moved us when we needed a heat lamp and helped us take pictures with the best view. We got to talking for a while with maitre d' Bret Wilson. He was one of the highlights for the night - welcoming, charismatic and funny, but he also runs the restuarant like the captain of a ship - very professional. Full Five Stars.

Very pleasant rooftop in the middle of the buildings, really a beautiful place. We came for a drink at the end of the day, we were told that to access the rooftop we had to eat so we agreed to eat to access the rooftop. However. We were never served, neither in drinks nor in food... too bad, at least we will have enjoyed the view!

This place has no shame and has horrible management service. Preferences are given to the well dressed and to those that they see fits their race standard. Never have I been discriminated against on on the basis for my choice of wardrobe and for my appearance. It was clear to me Perch did not want to sit us when a party of 3 with no reservation approached the host stand and we’re seated right away based on their “first come first served” practice, while my party of 3 had been waiting for a text back to be seated for over an hour and we too were non reservation. The part that really urged me to write this review is that this all took place while we were trying to address the situation with Angela, the so called manager and even she said to us that they honor the “first come first serve” but neglecting to understand that we had been waiting for over an hour and the other party of 3 literally had just walked up to the host stand and was seated. Not to mention that the only reason we were placed on the waiting list was because right when we were going to be seated a member of our party asked to used the restroom and the host then said please wait till he return for you all to be seated. To end this, DTLA has many rooftops to choose from and this one is just not worth the time and wait if you can spare yourself a bad experience definitely make a different choice when visiting downtown LA.

We sat outside overlooking the city and it was beautiful. The inside was cozy and eclectic. Great food and drinks too! Get the gelato, it’s amazing!

Amazing rooftop restaurant / bar. Highly recommended to any locals or people visiting from out of town and wanting a great rooftop experience. Also on most days they have a live band with some extremely talented musicians providing some beautiful entertainment. 5 stars, do yourself a favor and check out this gem!!

This is a popular downtown LA restaurant, in spite of the rather sketchy neighborhood. You take two elevators to the top of an older hotel to have a rooftop dining experience. Great views and a rather chic crowd. The service was mostly excellent (occasional waits-it was a very busy night). We shared mussels made with three sauces, tuna tartare, fish soup, rabbit ravioli and brussel sprouts. All were very good, perhaps the brussel sprouts the most outstanding. We took an Uber back to the hotel.

Was looking for a spot the other night that was open fairly late (past 10pm) where my boyfriend and I could have dinner and drinks. We came across this spot and decided to try it out. It was very busy and we went up to the rooftop to take some pics before going down to dinner. Surprisingly we were seated immediately and the food didn’t take a really long time to get to us, which was nice considering how busy it was. The food was actually pretty good and my boyfriend mentioned that this was the most perfectly cooked steak he’s ever had, my salmon was good too. Our waiter, whose name I believe was Liam, wasn’t very attentive (which I understand completely because it was busy) but when he finally came around maybe 15 minutes after we’d already finished, he walked passed us maybe 7 or 8 times before actually acknowledging us. I know it was busy, but he made eye contact with us several times and seemingly decided to go in other directions each time. I’ll be honest, normally we appreciate when our wait staff doesn’t hover near our table and come to check on us every 3 minutes, but I just found this to be plain rude. And when we asked for the check, he said he’d be back shortly, and still continued to go around to other tables. If he didn’t want to deal with us, he could’ve gave us the check and we would’ve left far sooner. If I didn’t want a high end service experience, I could’ve went elsewhere.

Perch has decided that a 4.5% fee added to our bill from now on is a great idea. It is for security. Well, I don't drink, am not the one being over served, getting drunks and acting the fool, a few patrons have done this. So, now they are adding on yet another fee to go with their Health Insurance fee, which I refuse to pay as I have been told again and again by staff at several places that have this fee that it does them no good. I simply add it to their tip. Now, that is money in their pocket. But Perch has gone to far now. I will not pay a mandatory fee for security that I don't want and don't need. This is a cost of the eatery that serves alcohol and does not know when to toss a guest. The food has always been good, but this is crazy, and it is not that great. There are many Downtown LA places to dine that have great food and odd, not arguments or silliness among the patrons. I will take my business elsewhere. I am an adult and act like one. I will not pay for Perch to deal with guests who should have had their tab closed hours before. It is becoming just a silly bar. I don't do silly, and sure not at their prices. The roof is nice.

We went two nights in a row as it was so nice. The views are great, the price for the location and food was decent. The food quality was high. My favourite savoury was the truffle fries which were great and the bread pudding was amazing. Its definitely worth a visit.

wonderful food, drinks, view and service. Not only are you paying for the view but you also get wonderful food and drinks. Highly recommended.

This has to be one of the best in LA just based on location alone. The view of downtown LA is fantastic and the building and bar really unique. The mixed drinks were also very well done and the staff quite nice and efficient.

We happen to enjoy a nice rooftop meal with outdoor music. Great day, fall like temps but drinks and meal were fabulous. Great vibe, low key but very Euro style.

I booked a table for nine people on their patio for my son‘s 18th birthday two months in advance The group included my 90 year old mom. They refused to honor our outdoor reservation and told us we’d have to wait 2 1/2 hours if we wanted to sit outside and instead smashed us into a table next to the entry and the bar. It was so loud we couldn’t talk and people kept running into us the whole night. It was miserable. My poor Mom, who had flown into the town for the occasion, didn’t even get to talk to her grandson the entire evening because it was so chaotic. I don’t even remember what the food was like the evening was so terrible, and I’m still so disappointed that my son didn’t get to enjoy nice memories of his birthday.

Very nice rooftop spot. Scallops were great melted right in our mouth. Bacon Mac and cheese on point. The food was very good. Reservations are suggested to get a spot outside on the rooftop. Inside great also. Live band in action in some evenings.

Our first time in LA and we wanted to be outside. Perch was the best pick! We made reservations online easily through Open Table. The elevators are kind of confusing, you take the first one to floor 13 and then another one to floor 15 (for brunch). If you want to go to the 16th floor you can take stairs behind the bar on the 15th floor. Brunch was so yummy! London B was our server and she was FANTASTIC! Our water was always filled and plates cleared. Would highly recommend!

Used the Valet parking located outside the restaurant which cost $14. There was a short wait for our table which was situated outside with a view of the City. There was a fire & heat lamps. Service was brisk & after an hour we were hurried along as others were waiting for our table! We were celebrating our anniversary & were given a complimentary desert to share. Service was non existent as others have stated but tips are expected! Food was good but not exceptional - would give it a miss if ever in LA again - sorry

We were celebrating my wife's birthday and were looking for an upscale rooftop restaurant with a good view and excellent food. The view was not very good although we were seated outdoors on the rooftop. We were overlooking a not-to-good area of downtown LA. While it was a chilly evening there were heaters to keep us comfortable. The ambiance was that of a club, rather than a restaurant. Many young, loud people which was OK, but not what we were expecting. The menu was better than the food. The food was good, but certainly not memorable. We will not be returning.
Magnifique
Perch LA is magnifique! Beautiful views, delicious food, super accommodating staff and amazing live music! Throughly enjoyed myself and I definitely will be back! 5 stars!!
