Great Breakfasts!

By Sheila S |

If you arrive before 11am, there's a fabulous "breakfast specials" menu with lots of choices at reduced prices. My favorite is the #11 - 2 eggs any style, 3 pancakes and your choice of 2 slices of bacon, saugage or turkey saugage. With a bottomless cup of coffee - all for $5!! And there's plenty of other options, along with the full, regular menu. Join online and get a free breakfast on your birthday!

Perkins Resturant

We went as a group, my daughter and her two sons plus my wife, to Perkins on Tuesday and had supper. Both me and my wife had a shrimp entree and the others has burgers and an appetizer. We picked this place because it is close and I had a coupon, but the food was good and the service was very good.

Perkins For Reduced Senior Dining

By BFAW2 |

So I went to the first Perkins I could find in NE Philly and was not disappointed. Monday is Senior day when seniors get 10% off their dinner check which is regularly about ten dollars for a full dinner. You just can't beat this since the food is wonderful. I recently had dental work and needed something soft. I ordered the pot roast and mashed potatoes. They were excellent. I sampled my partners' fish and chips and the fried battered cod was delicious. You can count on Perkins for excellent food at a great price. By the way the bakery items are top of the line!!

Very good

Stopped here this morning for breakfast with my cousin and girlfriend. We were waited on quickly and our waiter was friendly and nice. I had the French toast with two eggs that was excellent. No matter where else I eat hands down Perkins makes the best French toast anywhere. I enjoy their apricot syrup that I use on the French toast. Have never seen apricot syrup anywhere else. Very good breakfast. We will be back here again.

PERKINS BECAUSE THE QUALITY IS ALWAYS THE SAME

We went to perkins for breakfast / lunch. I had a great combination breakfast and the bride had an avocado salad. Everything was good but the service was slow and the waitress not very attentive.

A well prepared breakfst at a chain restaurant!

I met a friend on a Tuesday morning for breakfast at Perkins. The restaurant is clean and bright with plenty of table and booth seating. There is a bakery section full of pastries that looked tempting ( my iron will power kicked in!) from which you can order for take out. We each had a 2 egg omelette ( choice of 2 items for fillings included cheeses, mushrooms, meats, broccoli, spinach) with three pancakes and coffee included for a VERY reasonable price. The omelette was well prepared ( not at all dried out or overdone) with a reasonable filling of cheese and spinach for me, mushrooms and cheese for my friend. A carafe of coffee was on the table and made it possible to have nice hot coffee for a long period of time. The pancakes were nicely browned but not at all dry; a choice of syrups was on the table. Our waitperson was cheerful, attentive and did not rush us. When we first placed our orders, she suggested that the same order would be cheaper from another menu since it would include the coffee. I was impressed that she thought to help us this way. The restaurant was not crowded and we were able to linger for a long time over coffee as we chatted. This Perkins is in a strip mall that includes a dollar store, a vacuum repair shop and a few other businesses and is adjacent to an all night bagel shop and a really good deli. There is ample parking in front of the Perkins but also in the huge parking lot that serves the strip mall businesses. Go for a leisurely breakfast!

First and LAST time...,

By Cee_Wanderlust |

I'd been hearing people rave about Perkins for years, and today I decided to finally give it a try..., unfortunately I wish that I hadn't. The place was very small and outdated, and had a dusty feel about it. I'm not sure if that's the ambience they were going for since it's a "country" restaurant. Pros: We were seated quickly, waitress came right over. They had an okay variety f options to choose from. The breakfast potatoes were tasty. Cons: The "peach" ice tea is unsweetened and there is nothing peachy about it. My order came out without any bacon, the syrup jars were filthy!!! I had to wipe them down before using them. The eggs didn't seem like real eggs, but powdered ones. The pancakes were super thin. I'm not sure if it's just THIS location, but this experience has turned me off from Perkins for good.
