Three stars would have been generous. Not my first time at "Perry's" but my first time at this location. I see what all the hype is about, but it's not the food. It's just that you are dining downtown and for that, I guess you are expected to give up a little in quality. I was with family who were visiting for Thanksgiving (it was the day before) and we were a party of six. The only table we could get was at the opening but that was fine for us. Our waiter was quick to come to our table... but that didn't continue through the evening. We started off with a bottle of wine and I had an old fashioned. Worst "old fashioned" I've ever had. There should be a nice big square clear cube of ice... well, should be. There was a piece of ice but clearly this drink isn't something their bartender is used to making. And our server... he didn't seem to accustomed to this. His hand was shaking something horrible when pouring our wine; he even asked us to each hand him our glasses rather than him reach and spill it all over the place. Was he hungover? Or lack of experience? Not sure but if they can't properly train their servers, I would rather my meal not be the one the person learns OJT. Just a run down of our food: - calamari and stuffed mushrooms. I've definitely had better calamari. The mushrooms... well, I never got to try. There were six of us and they only brought out five. Now, maybe that's how many come with a traditional order but I'm assuming our server can count. Seriously, how big of a deal would it have been to tell the chef to make one extra? I mean we spent close to $1,000 for dinner and you can't give one more mushroom? Or at least have the foresight to let us know there are only five since we are a party of six. It's fairly awkward to decide who is not going to get one! - everyone ordered steak and for the most part, medium rare. These steaks are quite small and for most of the table... over cooked. - sides: LARGE orders of grilled asparagus, siracha Brussel sprouts and grilled asparagus. This is the BIGGEST disappointment. They said these were large orders but each of the three sides were only enough for three people. Maybe, maybe four but certainly not six people. Each person had two asparagus spears and only made it to the fourth guest. We tried to order more but our server was nowhere to be found. From this point on, our server only appeared about once every 10 minutes. When he finally came back, we addressed the small side portions and immediately asked for another "large" order of each. But of course, none of them came until after the meal was over. The server actually brought them out to us AFTER our plates had been cleared. I've never been to such a greedy place. Most would apologize profusely and take the sides back and not charge but not our server. He put them on the empty table after our plates and silverware had been taken. We should have left, but we were craving some sweets for later in the evening. When our server finally did appear, we asked for the dessert menu because he couldn't tell us what desserts they have. Again, he didn't return for another 10 minutes... just to bring desert menus. About 10 minutes to get him back to order dessert (and of course he never offered anyone at the table coffee). We wait and wait and wait... never see our server again except for at other tables. Finally, a gentleman walked by our table and he could clearly tell we weren't being taken care of and he asked what was going. Immediately he went back to the kitchen to bring our deserts and the bill. We never saw our server again. I've been to other Perry's and never had an experience such as this and for the amount we spent... I can confidently say I'll never be back. There are too many other choices downtown for steak and an amazing dining experience so don't get fooled by this place and it's location. Maybe your experience will be better, but for what you are going to spend, I wouldn't risk it. Again, too many other places to eat where you will always have a great dining experience.

Iâm from NYC and Iâve been to every well know steak house from Sparks, Smith and Wollensky, Ben Bensons, Bobby Vans etc. Visited Austin and was told to try Perryâs and to order the pork chop, not the steak ! They had a special which included soup or salad, the pork chop, finishing with a dessert trio for $39.00. In NY this would have been 60 bucks but this review is not about the money. Let me start by saying the service was unreal as soon as we walked through the door. Our server was Kendra, terrific personality and a real pro. I have never ever seen a pork chop that big and it was delicious. For me not to order a steak at a steakhouse is unheard of but my wife ordered one and again, it was terrific. I couldnât finish the chop and on the advice of my wife we packed it up and met a homeless guy down in his luck and he had a nice meal. I made a point to ask for the manager and I told him what I am telling the readers of this. Top notch place, great service, great food, great price, itâs a must if u are in Austin

Terrible hostess service, especially for what many consider a high-end restaurant. We had reservations for 4 at 8:30 on a Saturday. When we arrived, lobby was packed, and we were told that they were behind when we checked in at 8:25. We waited until 9, watching everyone else get seated because our daughters both work in food service and didn't want to make a fuss. At that point, my husband asked to see how close we were, and we were told that there should be tables clearing soon. Then we watched four guys walk in and get seated immediately. When we asked why, hostess told us that they were a table of 5, so they got a larger table that was available. 10 minutes later when we finally got seated, we walked right by those 4 guys at a table for 4. Later than night (3 AM, actually), our reservation showed up as canceled - I suppose so that they could deny that we had a reservation, but I've got the email that shows we did. Really ticked off that the hostess lied to us and never apologized. Once we sat, we had excellent steak, macaroni, whipped potatoes, and lobster thermidor. And our waiter was excellent; he was friendly and efficient. Maybe the glitch was all centered around one disinterested, unprofessional staff member.

Perry's food and service must be experienced to truly appreciate. Recently had the opportunity to attend a company event that included having private space upstairs with several dedicated waitstaff. Food and wine were exceptional!

The food came out really late, not only because of employees' being overworked but also terribly treated by their bosses and general manager.

Amazing service, server was very friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and canât wait to return. Do recommend for anyone celebrating, visiting, or just wanting a nice dinner.

Perry's is always fantastic, always consistently excellent food and always an amazing experience. We had my daughter's birthday dinner here and it was perfect from start to finish. Our waiter was attentive but unobtrusive and helped make it a great time. Start with the fried asparagus appetizer....it's a MUST HAVE. Seriously. All four of us ordered the filet mignon (OMG YUM) and we shared the sides: loaded whipped potatoes, grilled asparagus and lobster mac n cheese. All were delicious and perfectly prepared. We finished with 3 desserts (because why not??) because we had a hard time choosing just one to share. We should have shared, LOL! It was the creme brulee, orange cheesecake and a chocolate thingy I can't remember the name of (my daughter is a chocoholic). I also had an expertly crafted Old Fashioned before dinner. After dinner we took pictures on the stairs with the assistance of several of the staff. It was an overall outstanding dinner outing.

This place is amazing. The Friday pork chop lunch is to die for. It's a must if your in Austin. The ambiance is a delight and the service is A1.

Our oldest daughter's boyfriend wanted us to have his birthday dinner here. We are all steak lovers and he made it sound like we would love this place. Upon arrival the hostess was quick to say hello and ask us if we had been before. Pam and I said first time and she smiled and said we would love it. Moving to our table was an experience passing the great bar area and moving into the dinner room with a two plus story wall of wines on display. Our waiter, Dallas, arrived quickly asking about water, wine and/or cocktails. Water arrived in a moment and Billy picked a wonderful Malbec. I asked Dallas what was there signature steak and he very confidently said it was the pork chop. I was intrigued and then amazed as the table beside us had 3 of the largest pork chops I have ever seen being set out in front of them. Huge does not do this justice. This is not a meal for someone with a small appetite. Dallas then told us that we could opt for the Sunday dinner version which was slight less. Two of us chose this option, Billy went for the regular pork chop and my wife had their Ribeye. We chose sides of broccoli, potatoes and a smoked mushroom risotto. Our meals arrived and we were stunned by the amount of food on our plates. The pork chop Sunday special had been but into 3 parts, the bone plus, the dark meat section (AKA the eyelash) and the center cut. Dallas said the way to enjoy it was start with the bone and finish with the center cut. He was right with the sequence. The meat was incredibly tender with a wonderful flavor combining spices and dark brown sugar coating which was carmelized in places. Perry's also make their own apple sauce which was the perfect complement to the chop. The sides were all great with the risotto being exceptional in my view. The ribeye was very large, cooked to perfection and quite flavorful. After dinner two of us had the dessert trio as part of the Sunday special but we got the tableside Bananas Foster which was simply wonderful. I have never been to Steakhouse where the staff tells diners their signature dish is pork chop but Perry's has created something truly spectacular and you would be missing out on an amazing meal.

As the title states, everything was overly salted. The lobster bisque tasted like the lid must have fallen off of the salt shaker when the chef was attempting to add "just a pinch more". The Fillet Mignon that I ordered 'medium rare', was not only served MEDIUM WELL, it tasted like they rolled it in rock salt! I have hade better steak at restaurants that were much less expensive. The silver lining was our server, Kennedy, was very sweet and apologetic for the kitchen staffs eff-up.

Started with Beef and Bleu & the Bacon Wrapped Scallops as our apps. I went with the Butcher's Chop Salad w/ Shrimp added on and the Ultimate Chicken Parmesan (Served with fresh Orecchiette pasta and broccoli rabe) and she had the Lunch-Cut Filet (served with whipped potatoes and seasonal vegetables). Everything was cooked perfectly as expected and filled us up for the rest of the day. Her steak kind of just melted on your tongue and my chicken parmesan was lightly breaded and the tomato sauce was heavenly. First time I wasn't disappointed with restaurant tomato based sauce.

The steak, the sea bass, the other seafood, the service were all top notch. Consider the four Sâs when ordering food here. Oh yeah, the valet at the Domain makes the whole event worth it as it is easy in easy out. Itâs so easy, your wife will wanna get feisty with you afterwards!đ€Ș

This was a great dining experience. Very customer oriented and food was amazing. A definite must eat at.

On my last night in Austin I decided to take myself out for a steak dinner. If you're in Texas, one of the many treats to have is having a steak. I made reservations at this place via OpenTable. When I got to the restaurant I had asked if I could sit at the bar instead for dinner and there was no issue. The time that I went was happy hour so the drinks and some food items were 1/2 price which was great. If you don't want to spend a lot the happy hour allows people to have like a 3 course meal at a reasonable price. I got the Mai Tai and some oysters for a starter and then onto the main course -- 14 oz. Cowboy Ribeye. It melted in your mouth delicious! The grilled asparagus that I got to go with it worked well with it. I was one happy camper!!! The staff were super friendly and service was great. Definitely come back here.

Our group of 12 was well accomodated, the staff was on top of their game throughout. DO try the Cherry Red Calamari and a must is their Raspberry Crusta signature cocktail. Food - Steak excellent as well Fine dining worth the price

A great steakhouse in the Domain. There are several good to really good places to grab a steak, this is definitely my favorite. Attend a business dinner here and enjoyed the pork chop special, it came with several ribs, pork belly and a large piece of loin - I canât imagine being able to eat it all but it was extremely flavorful. All of the sides we tried were well cooked and nicely presented. We al so enjoyed well-made cocktails and an impressive choice of wines.

Had a family dinner at Perry's. I had the sirloin... it was great. Tasty, tender, succulent. The other three had various sizes of the filet mignon. All the steaks were done to perfection, the loaded mashed potatoes and glazed mushrooms were a perfect match to the amazing meat. Great wine list, which we attacked with enthusiasm. Topped the meal off with creme brulee and the bread pudding. Expensive, but the ambience, service, and quality of food is worth the adventure.

As the title indicates, go for pork chop Friday here. It is a phenomenal value and the pork chops are huge and mouthwatering. Service is friendly and quick, but expect Friday lunches to be very crowded and a pain to park (though that's just a downtown Austin thing).

A steakhouse is always a safe bet when traveling - you get your protein fix and you know you're in for top notch service. Perry's proved to be exactly that! My server was delightful - I wish I could remember his name. He was so sweet and checked in so much. The trio of wagyu steaks is a great way to experience the local meats. And the whipped potatoes literally whipped :)

Perry's Steakhouse, my Thanksgiving was an absolute disaster, thanks to your mind-boggling incompetence. How on earth do you manage to forget the basics like gravy and bread rolls on such a crucial occasion? The infuriating journey back to downtown Austin to salvage my Thanksgiving plates left me seething with frustration. Returning home to a cold, incomplete meal was beyond upsetting â it was a downright betrayal of expectations. By the time I returned home, the cold, incomplete feast had lost any semblance of its holiday integrity. This is Perry's Steakhouse, not some amateur operation. The level of disappointment and anger is immeasurable. Shape up, because ruining a Thanksgiving feast is downright unforgivable.

Excellent steaks - just what you want in Texas. Great service and lively busy atmosphere, even in midweek.

Came here to enjoy our 12th Anniversary. The place is huge and the staff is very attending and respectful. Our server was Alejandro and he took very good care of us. We ordered more than we could eat and the servings are very generous

We had a reservation but arrived early to have a drink at the bar before dinner only to be seated immediately. Following our hostess to our table, I noticed a great ground floor restaurant with a dark, steakhouse vibe but nooo. We were taken up two flights of stairs to a small brightly lit room with no decor, white walls and six tables. After being seated, a small child started screaming. I noticed there were 3 children at the table and guests at the table were dressed as if they just left Walmart. Thatâs not the vibe I needed for a $300 meal for 2. We went back to hostess stand to be reseated. We were graciously reseated on the main floor. Now for the foodâŠ.excellent oysters, lobster tail, and sides. My filet was over seasoned and very tough (def not a filet), but my husband enjoyed his NY strip. The service was great. You decide

Our family plan for Thanksgiving fell through and we were certain we'd be stuck eating fast food. However, with one phone call Perry's got us in. Great atmosphere and food. White linen service. Server was over and above great service!

Holy moly. I first went to parryâs 10 years ago and frequent it often. Even took my wife there for our anniversary but after ordering food for carry out tonight I was appalled, flabbergasted, astounded. One of my favorite places to eat no more. The quality of everything was poor. It all tasted bad and the best dish out of the 10 we ordered was a desert that Iâd rate a 2.5/10. ( de didnât finish it and with great pain in our hearts after 1 bite of each entre before deciding to throw the food away. Truly astounding. I would have been happier with chilies even if they were the same price. My wife and I feel tremendously discrespected. Just 3 months ago we had a great dinner there. Head chef needs to be fired fired, fired. I really wanted to love Perryâs being that I grew up going there but I can confidently say Iâll never go back again. Wild experience.

My husband and I had dined at Perryâs in Dallas, and were eager to try the Perryâs in Austin. We went there on a Tuesday night at 5:30 with our son, daughter-in-law, and our 19 month old granddaughter. The servers Evan and Jimmy were so attentive to our granddaughter, a high chair was waiting for us, and they were only too happy to take some family photos. The food was amazing. We lived the Caesar salad and the salad with field greens and candied pecans. The pork chop was outstanding, as was the brick chicken and the rib eye. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

How can the Perryâs Austin Downtown and Perryâs Austin Domain be so different. We ate for the first time at the Domain. Long wait past reservation time. Slow service. Ordered drinks and waited 20 minutes for drinks to arrive. Server was apologetic though. They ran out of bread by 7pm. Tiny table extremely close to other tables. They seat people at high top tables next to the bar for dinner. Bar has a selection of about 3 beer choices. Perryâs Downtown is a top of the line experience so do yourself a favor and avoid the Domain location at all costs.

We tried the fried asparagus with lump crab meat for a starter since it sounded unique. It was tasty and made us ready for our steaks. I had the 10oz prime rib and my husband had the New York strip, both medium rare. The problem is they bring the steaks on a searingly hot cast iron plate, so the steak continues cooking once it gets to you. Our meat started out medium rare but ended up medium. We were sitting outside under blaring hot heat lamps (outside temp was about 70 degrees, so maybe a little much). The heat from the lamps caused the top of the table to be hot to the touch. Nevertheless, my prime rib was a beautiful cut, both flavorful and tender. The steaks do not come with sides, so youâll need to order one if you want something else. We shared the cauliflower au gratin. Delicious. We shared the dessert trio after our meal. The orange cheesecake was just a little too candied, but the chocolate crunch and crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e were wonderful.

Were seated in the side-room, which was fine, less noisy. Adam was our server and he was excellent! Pork bites were out of this world, salads were super. Steaks were perfect, tasteful and perfectly grilled! Drinks from the bar were great, Had an excellent meal with great service.

My wife and I selected Perry's to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was a great experience. The food, the service, the ambience--everything was excellent!

I love the food. This is a great location. The staff is very friendly especially Morgan the hostes , John the waiter and saige the waitress. I love the layout at the restaurant. They have great desserts. This place is great for any occasion.

Had a gorgeous meal here last night, the cocktails, steak, and sides were all absolutely delicious, and excellent service from Dylan. Would highly recommend and will definitely return if weâre in Austin again!

Unfortunate I chose Perrry's for a special occassion, the experience is far less than the reviews indicated and I will never return. My entree was served at incorrect temperature on first attempt from the chef, second steak was 30% fat, 30% bone & gristle, the balance a thin portion. I would suggest you never cross the threshold of this establishment

I visited this place on my own. The initial reception I received was frosty at best but my server was very attentive. The food was good but over priced

First I love the Dallas Perryâs. This place looks great and the staff was great. Sadly my steak was a bit over cooked. The Brussels sprouts were delicious. Others ordered sea bass and loved it.

We dined here as a small (5) business dinner. Excellent meal and service. Two of our group ordered the pork chop and had to ask for take out boxes.

We are always doing what we havenât done yet. The martinis are wonderful to start. Blueberry, Cucumber YUM After being seated in a booth because there were 5 of us we chose our appetizers. A booth is very hard to engage in conversation, corner to corner and I would insist on a table if ever doing this again. The appetizers were great. We had Shrimp, steak tartare and crab cakes. Delicious. Wine next. At this point I started to feel rushed. The atmosphere and food were very up class but I was disappointed with our server. 0 personality. The only way to show this is in the gratuity. 75.00 instead of 100.00$ Once again... the food was fantastic.

The best steak around and inside decor is amazing. We always come when we are in the area and will continue to dine at this great restaurant.

I am so glad that I went with the pork chop. Fabulous. It was recommended to me by a gentleman that had been to Perryâs before and he raves about it. Best pork chop I have ever had. Very tender and the carmelization was wonderful. It was huge. I could not finish it. Had a good red wine too. Go with the pork chop!

We had a terrific experience here thanks to the staff and kitchen. We made a afternoon reservation and arrived 5 mins late. We still were seated quickly and restaurant itself as a classy, traditional yet modern feel, not overly fancy but also not terribly casual. The Lobster soup and salads to start were delicious, staff was able to cut our Cesar salad into two portions for my wife and I. I had the restaurant famous Pork Chop which was humongous and enough for two portions, yet it was so darn good I ate the whole thing in one sitting to the bone!! It was perfectly marinated with their house famous seasoning and the whipped mash potatoes were the perfect match. My wife had the Porterhouse medium and Mac N cheese. She said it was among the best steaks she has had in Texas. We ended up skipping out on desert because appetizers and main course food was so good. We will most definitely be back on future trips to Austin area

My husband and I were looking for a really great meal and we found it at Perry's. We were there on a Saturday night without a reservation and waited at the bar for 45 minutes for a table outside. While at the bar, we ordered drinks off of their cocktail menu and the pork bites appetizer. I could have ordered another pork bites appetizer for dinner. It was delicious! It came in bite size stacks on an applesauce sauce and another zesty sauce and was cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was nice, the service at the bar was great, overall a nice way to wait. Once outside the server suggested a hanging shish kabob with filet, shrimp and lobster tail. We both ordered that and split a caesar salad. First of all, the best caesar salad I have ever ordered. They normally are not my favorite but this salad was so crisp and came with pumpkin seeds on top, If it doesn't sound good, it was. The hanging shish kabob came later with dramatic flourish. They remove it from the spear and put it on a skillet with buttter. Crazy good! If you have a special occasion, this restaurant will make the event feel special.

From the minute we walked into Perry's and was met with two smiling faces, I knew I choose the right place. It was Thursday night and we just flew in. We had reservations but asked to be seated in the bar area. Our sweet, friendly and professional waitress, Sharon was so informative with happy hour drinks and treats. We ended up ordering the caramelized prime rib special, I would say speechless or absolutely delicious are words that come to mind! As we were leaving, I asked to speak to the manager and Emma jumped right in.I wanted to share with her about the amazing team, and the memorable meal we enjoyed! Next time we are in Austin, this will be our 1st stop!

Perry's was a phenomenal experience. The ambiance was amazing and would be perfect for a romantic dinner. Alas, I was on a business trip, but our sever Dallas took great care of our party of 14. Food arrived in proper order, water was refilled constantly, and recommendations were made when requested. We ordered a round of appetizers to share, calamari, BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp, shrimp cocktail and artichoke dip. The BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp were huge and delicious! The calamari was ok, as was the dip and shrimp cocktail. The bread they served was hot and very tasty. I had the 14 oz Ribeye- medium rare. All our steaks came out at once, and mine was more of a medium, but not overdone. The flavor of the seasonings, the well marbled steak, and the steak butter made me close my eyes and savor every bite. Unfortunately I could only finish half of it, but it was fantastic. It is spendy but definitely worth the splurge.

10 people for dinner, great Food, all to much of course, but all were very pleased With the dinners. Helpful staff, and an easy Place to relax and work in, spacious yet broken up so it does not feel to large or noisy. On the pricey side for wine, but thats how it si if you don't know what to order and you go blind in.

Excellent steakhouse restaurant. The filet mignon melted in your mouth. Accompanied by gratinated potatoes. Large selection of wines offered. Children's menu. Desserts to die for! The service was more than impeccable. Very happy to have discovered this place, a stone's throw from the Capitol.

Letâs start with the music⊠I donât go to a nice steakhouse to listen to pop music. The oysters were ok but my steak was not good. As a filet, it was not tender at all! The seasoning was spicy and took over the flavor of the steak. My son loved his steak sampler that included 2 wagyu steaks and one from Nebraska. Blind taste test, the Nebraska New York strip was more tender than the Japanese Wagyu!

My husband and I really enjoyed celebrating his birthday at this wonderful downtown steakhouse with two of our children and their spouses. The room we were in was across from the bar, so the music from the piano made it very difficult for conversation at our table. If we go again, weâll definitely eat in a different area of the restaurant where it might be quieter. The service and food were both excellent. We had the fried asparagus with crab meat appetizer, but no one really liked areâs for it. I really enjoyed my Field Green, Pear & Candied Pecan Salad and Chateaubriand and baked potato that I shared with my husband. My husband and two others had the Filet Perry, and one person had the Perryâs Famous Pork Chop, and the other had the Prime Ribeye. My husband had the Butchers Chop Salad and the dressing is wonderful! (Both of our salads were large, so we should have shared a salad!) One couple shared the wedge salad and it was small for a wedge salad. One couple took the Dessert Trio home (tiny portions!) The $10 Valet parking is very convenient considering the parking situation downtown. It was a VERY enjoyable experience!

Adventure worth taking. TBH, Iâve never had anything outside of the pork chop, some sides and the bananas foster. Chips are top notch. Iâve moved to splitting one with my girlfriend so we can enjoy the Brussels sprouts and asparagus sides along with the dessert that is made table side. Otherwise, I eat a chop and the mashed potatoes and Iâm in pain the rest of the day. Valet parking available ($10) but the place gets busy so reservations are recommended. Also, with influx, service can lag.

Had a date night with the hubby. Everything was delicious. The Miso crab dish threw me for a loop because I thought the pic had rice but it was actually rock salt... lol... outside of that no complaints. The drinks were on point and the ambiance was nice and chill.

We started with the escargot which was the best ever! Tiny bits of goodness surrounded by sautéed garlic and topped with puff pastry. Next entrees were perfectly done steaks accompanied by the best asparagus ever( fried and topped with crab) and corn brulee. To top off a perfect night, our waitress Ariadna(Ai) was delightful and very attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Planned vacation in Austin for me, husband and mom. Turns out our arrival was at end of "Snowpocalypse" which shut down lots of place there. Had planned to go to Perry's for Friday Pork Chop Lunch because their Denver Lone Tree location was so great several years ago. Called the day before... they said they would be open and they were. The only thing they couldn't do was bread that day (city was under a water boil order), and pork chops were beyond amazing. (I normally wouldn't describe pork chops this way... but melt in your mouth.) This was our first and last meal (a week later) in Austin. Sometimes hard to find restaurants that all three of us like, but we were all "blown away" by food, atmosphere, service. We also tried Turtle Gumbo (special soup, not always on menu) , steakhouse pasta, asparagus/crab, and pizza... all amazing, and even more amazing staff! They are planning to open five more places per year... fingers crossed. They have 2 in Chicago, hoping for Annapolis or Grand Rapids someday.

This restaurant is great for a graduation dinner, business dinner, birthday, etc. It is very fine dining and will run a bit of a bill if you are going all in. We had a medium sized business party here and enjoyed our private room where they played the football game and had room for me to set prizes down. The drink ordering was a bit slow even though our group wasn't huge but it was worth it as we were in no hurry. Delicious steak! We have more reservations already scheduled here for our team next month.

Very cool atmosphere, fantastic food and very good service. The porks chops was one of the best meat meals I have tried. Huge portion though.

Everyone else seemed pleased with their meal. I had the small filet. It was okay but had some gristle and Iâve had much better elsewhere. The potatoes au gratin were just okay. The chocolate crunch dessert is not something I would order again. We were there for a special occasion and had an enjoyable time. Good service and nice ambiance.

I took my entire staff there for a special meal. I had been there before and was very happy so I was expecting a lot. We spent thousands and had a terrible experience. The food was average the service not great. We had to wait forever for drinks, the location of the table was terrible. The order came out wrong. When I complained before I left I was told someone would get back to me. No one ever did. The clearly did not care that we were disappointed. I will not ever go back. In the Uber on the way home the driver told me he would not refer there any longer as he had heard too many complaints.

My husband and I and two other couples visited Perryâs Steakhouse specifically for their famous pork chops. The only reason we did not give a 5 rating were two things: 1) the restaurant is VERY dark. We had to use our phone flashlights to see and read the menu. 2) the asparagus was loaded with pepper making it difficult to eat. The service was immaculate, and the gigantic pork chops were carved into ribs, eye and eyelash tableside. There is enough pork for at least 3 meals, so be prepared for leftovers.

Group likes to eat in bar listen to piano and have a great meal. Had a new singer that we thought for a few songs it was a Patron that had a bit too much. Unfortunately it was the new entertainment. Add to that a group of 12 guys who clearly were experiencing their first night in Austin on an expense acct made the meal terrible. If i wanted to hear 12 drunks singing Garth Brooks with a screaming singer, Iâd head to one of many Country Bars. Lots of steak places in Austin. Guess we will be looking for a new one.

Excellent service and great tasting food. The signature pork chop was gigantic. Atmosphere was pleasant and the pianist set a nice ambiance.

Unfortunately, we did not dine in considering the current circumstances and instead choose to enjoy our meal in our nearby hotel room. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. My husband chose the ribeye and I the salmon. Both were cooked exactly as requested and flavored perfectly. The lobster bisque was amazing and we could have had seconds of it, something weâd rarely do. The ending Chocolate dessert was excellent and we really wished we could have enjoyed it with a nice glass of wine or Cognac. We probably would never elect to have another fine dining experience in our hotel room but Perryâs made this one memorable. Excellent food. Love to pay another visit and this time enjoy our meal within.

We were booked here for a small group and had a really good experience. We were seated promptly after arriving with reservations. Out waiter was friendly and very helpful with selections and with accommodating a variety of dietary needs. We had drinks and appetizers before dinner and the only issue was the age of the fried asparagus (which was a little past prime according to our guests.) We had a nice California red wine with dinner that was produced and labeled for the restaurant. I had the pork chop dinner which could have feed the entire table. Others enjoyed the fish, steak, shrimp and salads. The baked potato side was very good. The ambiance was nice and the restaurant was busy. We had a couple of mix ups but the waiter was very attentive and made sure that we had a good experience. Overall a very good place for a small group dinner.

One star is too much. Avoid this place if you have any type of food allergy because the attention to this important detail was nonexistent in our experience. Unable to come home for Thanksgiving, we ordered a family member a meal to pick up for their enjoyment. When placing the order we made it very clear that there was a tree nut allergy and Perry's assured us that this would be handled with caution. Thankfully we saw the receipt and the words "TREE NUT ALLERGY" were all over the receipt. However, within minutes of eating the food our family member broke out in a severe reaction and needed to immediately use their EpiPen. We called the restaurant several times to explain this issue. The person at Perry's apologized but said there was nothing they could do except assure us the manager would return our call. We called three different times on three separate days. We only wanted a refund on the $55.00 dinner that had to be thrown away. Not to mention the $400 Epipen. Needless to say we have never received this return call. We will never go back and we caution anyone with a food allergy to stay away. They do not care

We had a fabulous meal at Perry's on a Sunday evening. Our server, Eli - I think, even brought us a free dessert - orange cheesecake. Hubby took his advice and ordered the Cowboy ribeye. I had filet. Hubby had the French Onion soup as his starter, and I had a wedge salad. The dressing on the salad was light and so good. The server shared some of the building's history with us. Definitely recommend Perry's.

Delicious grilled salmon and vegetables! I donât eat potatoes so got double grilled vegetables! Both delicious!

Perryâs at the Domain is top shelf.... ordered the Special Pork Chop! You get Ribs, loin, and cheek and it is massive. Could easily feed two! Top shelf service and a welcoming atmosphere make it a must try!

We took a friend there for her birthday recently. She was so impressed, she dubbed this the "best birthday dinner ever". Their menu is fairly expansive but I, of course, had to get the filet mignon - it is a steak place, after all. My steak was delicious and done perfectly. Keep in mind that you order a steak and that's all you get. They have a long list of sides you can share with your table and we opted for the truffle steak fries - again, really good. We did also start off with 2 appetizers: the escargot & the BBQ octopus - both were excellent (especially the escargot with that little puff pastry on top) and a good size for starters. We rounded out the meal with two of their four flaming desserts (I guess that's their specialty) and I had two of their special cocktails: the Rose Collins and 'Strait' Paloma. The desserts pushed our stomachs over their limits but well worth the fun experience of setting alcohol on fire :) This is a high-end place so be prepared to PAY. But the service, food, and ambiance were all top-notch. We also opted for their valet parking (which, I think, was $10) but worth having to avoid the hassle of parking downtown.

The Perry family opened its first restaurant in 1979 in Houston, Texas. They created Perry's Steakhouse in 1993. Today, they have locations in Chicago, Denver, Miami, Nashville, Birmingham, Raleigh and in 13 cities across Texas with more to come. It's an upscale steakhouse chain that also serves seafood and chops in a swanky supper club atmosphere. My wife and I caught up with Perry's at 114 West 7th Street in downtown Austin's Civic District. Open from 4 to 10 Monday through Thursday, 10:30 to 10 on Friday, 4 to 10 on Saturday and 4 to 9 on Sunday, Perry's menu offers something of everything. You don't have to look twice. We started with shrimp cocktail, escargot, a bowl of lobster bisque and Caesar salad with romaine lettuce, croutons, shaved parmesan and Caesar dressing. For an entree, my wife chose wild red snapper served with chive whipped potatoes, creamed spinach and truffle vinaigrette. I opted for an eight-ounce Chateaubriand carved tableside on a warm cast iron plate with truffle merlot demiglace, bearnaise and peppercorn sauce and served with steamed asparagus, au gratin potatoes and sauteed mushrooms. For dessert, we shared butterscotch bread pudding with chocolate chips in a caramel sauce topped with candied walnuts and toasted house-made marshmallows and Bananas Foster with sliced bananas bruleed with rum, cinnamon and nutmeg and served over vanilla ice cream. Don't you just love it when dinner meets your highest expectations?

OMGosh ... The food .. atmosphere ... service ... We were wow"d! Start with the Tempura lobster ... Cesar salad ... Lobster bisque (yum) ... Fillet with lump crab (or ribeye) ... Ask for Michael ... He's a great server ... Can't go wrong!!! We'll be back for sure!

Give it a 4 stars. Stopped to have dinner with some friends. The place is pretty busy and is known for their steaks. We got the pork belly skewers with bbq sauce. It's really good and tender. The escargot appetizer was ok and a bit salty. I ordered the prime ribeye med rare. It came back med well. Had resend it back. 15 to 20 mins later when my friends finished their meal my prime ribeye came back and it was med raw. I decided to take it anyway because didn't want to wait any longer. The nicest thing was my steak was taken out of the bill. Our server was really nice, friendly and attentive.

We dined at Perry's the first week of January. It was a bit quiet that night but the restaurant was lovely & the service was excellent. We had filets with the trio of dipping sauces, mashed potaotes, french onion soup & brussel sprouts. All were excellent. We enjoyed the ambiance & food here & will be back when in town.

Attentive service. Great food. I have done both corporate dinners of 12+ and personal dinners with 2. Steaks are quality cuts and consistently cooked perfectly. Parking is a pain but their valet makes it easy.

Taken to PCF, the local term for the Pork Chop Friday lunch special. You will not leave hungry. We had a group of 5 and we all took home leftovers. The pork is excellent. It was very tender and moist, and HUGE. The pork chop was highly recommended by my nephew, who said it was the best he has ever had. I must agree, it was certainly the best I have had. Be sure to check their website for the Friday lunch hours.

Four of us went for Friday pork chop lunch. Maybe an off day. Started with 6 valet parking guys gabbing vs. trying to assist customers. Finally someone perked up and opened the door. We had reserved seating in the bar booth at 1:00 pm and were promptly seated and treated. The music is so loud that everyone talks louder to compensate. I twice requested to have the music turned down and didnât notice a discernible drop. I can hear fine while 2 in my party had a challenge so they were left out of a lot of conversation. Heads up if you make a reservation. I was the only one of four who enjoyed their pork chop. The table collective found them to be over salty and too smoky. The sweet sriracha Brussels sprouts were neither as well as not soft on the chew. The truffle fries were wedges of potato with strange nest on top. High prices on wine and margarita $14/per. $81 lunch for two. I would rather go to Red Ash Italia for dinner and have the octopus, carpaccio, pasta, and 4 adult beverages for the same amount.

I wish I could give me stars. This place sucks! First letâs start off with they took too long to get our drink order, second they got my drink wrong.. from a Mexican Martini, they brought me a margarita. Finally when they brought me my Mexican martini it was not what Iâm accustomed to. Trulucks and Perlas tops this place by far! Food was sub par. We asked to have our appetizers brought out with our sons dinner and they didnât do that. He ate his birthday dinner while we waited for ours. He then had to watch us eat our dinner. For almost $300 dinner I am by far never coming back and will tell everyone how terrible this place is.. Do not ever go to the Perryâs Steakhouse in the Domain!!!!

Date night! Got a reservation via OpenTable. Arrive early but the bar was open. We spent our entire evening in the bar in lieu of a dinner table. The bar was great! Try the âStill Austinâ bourbon, very good! Also try the tater tot appetizers , very good! We did the âfillet and lobsterâ and fillet with crab meatâ⊠both were excellent!!! Alexia was our server, she was awesome!

Very high end steakhouse. If youâre will to pay, you will experience some flawless steaks, tender, well prepared and high quality meat !! Place is very expensive, where an entry level steak costs more than $50 + tax. You donât need side dishes as the steaks are huge. We ordered some but never ate them...

What a disappointment! Brought our family from out of state - had cocktails- had bread - had the wine that should have been with the main courses - 1 hour later - still no food - a manager eventually came over and said âthere had been a mistakeâ (not sure what) and entrees were on the house - still ended up paying app. $175! for a disaster of a meal (part was the tip, since we didnât want to stiff the waiter, and had no idea what happened) - really bad experience, and would not recommend nor return -

Great Steakhouse in Austin, the Bone-In Ribeye was awesome, and I also had the Pork Chop on another night we visited. Both were great, service was wonderful and I recommend using the valet, parking in the area is tight.

Wow! What a great experience! The service was excellent. We got the famous pork chops and the person that brought it out from the kitchen explained how it would be cut, then he cut it up and explained how the different parts would taste. It was a lot of food. It was my birthday and there were rose petals all over the table when we got there. I canât wait to go back!!!

I was a guest for a private dining event and it was exceptional. I had some lobster bisque to start, a huge pork chop and a nice selection of vegetable sides. The drinks are decent and well presented. I had a mojito, some napa valley red wine - both great. The service team were attentive but not too much.

Never been there before but was pleasantly surprised with the food, drinks and service. Great steaks but there's more than beef on the menu - try it you'll love it

Great service, food was great . Desserts also great. Equal to Mastroâs but less expensive. And for dessert we had Baked Alaska . Lemon custard filled.

Convenient for an early dinner before show at Paramount. We shared the "flight of steak" which was cooked perfectly. Kitchen understands what "medium-rare" means. A nice touch was to bring a sharing plate which was glazed with cracked pepper. Also, the grilled asparagus which was nicely seasoned and a bottle of Charles Krug cabernet. We sat in the bar area adjacent to the windows. I really liked this area because of the light plus moderate noise. Service was exceptional.

We tried several steakhouses while in Austin and this one was our favorite hands down. Not only were the steaks PERFECT, we loved the lighting and the atmosphere. French onion soup was fantastic!

Location good. Easy to get to. There was plenty of parking on the street, on Friday night Atmosphere excellent.Very cool. The food was very good; what I expected for the price range. We all had filet in one form or another. Wedge salad and creamed spinach excellent. Desserts - creme broule, bananas foster, and nutty deangelo. All excellent. A little disappointed with the large seafood tower. Good quality, but 4 shrimp, 4 scallops (1 of which did not have a scallop in the shell), 2 crab legs and 1 lobster tail was not much for $70. The waiter wrote down our order, surprising at this price point, but OK. Problem is, he didn't get it right.

We chose Perry's because of fantastic experiences in the past. However, what was supposed to be a special double Birthday celebration became a running joke. From the bar to dinner experience, there was honestly not a good thing to share. If you happen to be reading this and are planning a special occasion, there are plenty of other downtown options and I recommend that you select one of those.

Thank you Kim Silvert for working with our group to create and currate such an amazing dining experience for a business dinner. The service and food was nothing short of amazing. The private room, The Longhorn Room had so much charachter. The dinner options from the cocktail hour and dinner, wer absolutely delious. Bernice was the perfect host and we appreciate all the attention she gave us. Cheers to you all.

My husband and I spent our dinne here at Perryâs in Downtown Austin. Restaurant is really nice. Very classy. I ordered the steak with shrimp and grilled asparagus (i forgot the name of the menu but i posted a picture of it hehe) and my husband ordered the rib eye with baked potato. Servings are really big for a girl like me lol. I love the steak! Texas do make really good steaks! I like the staff in charged to us. He is very polite and nice. Although this restaurant is a little bit pricey but hey this isnât your ordinary restaurant! Itâs worth a try đ

I was really disappointed.. I normally do not right bad reviews but I felt like I needed to make sure you are prepared for poor service, mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box, really have to use a steak knife to cut your steak and if you advised them the reservation was for a special occasion and nothing is even mentioned by the staff then this place is for you..

Downtown Austin for lunch when the Texas Legislature is in session? Well, we did and were not disappointed. It was Friday after all and the Pork Chop lunch was available. Although the place was packed (we did have a reservation) the service was good and the food exceptional. Normally, the quality degrades when the restaurant is completely full. But this place is an exception. We all had the pork chop special with spinach and grilled vegetables. Very good. The food timing was good and the pace was just right. There was always a waiter available. You should have reservations if going during the lunch hour.

Oddly, ordered what is often a good burger with fries. It arrived and then was told they were out of ketchup. No kidding. I guess it can happen, but no without mentioning it when I ordered seems hard to believe,

Perryâs is famous for their pork chop. And they rightly should. One coworker described it as a âgiant piece of baconâ. I like bacon if done well and that is not too fatty. If itâs too fatty, Iâm not a bacon fan. If you like your bacon fatty and you like to eat A LOT of bacon, then definitely go for their famous pork chop. I ordered hoping it would be on the leaner side and was disappointed. Others ordered the filet and the sea bass. Whatâs funny about those two items is that compared to the famous pork chop theyâre tiny. I didnât taste the filet, but the seabass was nothing to write home about. For appetizers and sides: Ceasar salad was okay. Too much dressing. Big though. Wedge salad looked pretty good but also had too much dressing. Cherry Pepper Calamari was good but not great. Stuffed mushrooms were okay but not great. All in all, âgoodâ comes to mind rather than âgreatâ.

When I make a reservation I would like to eat in the dining room⊠they were not ready for us when we arrived on a chilly evening. We tried to get a drink in the bar.. way too busy ..then I was sat without my husband .. nearly on the other side of town, up 2 flights of stairs.. ok ..the table next to me the âmanâ has his hat on backwards. His date was dressed long long black dress. I know this is Texas but a ball cap backwards at a hi end steak house? The table on the other side were mafia looking 12 year olds alone at a huge table for over an hour drinking until 6 girls came âŠyes girls. Maybe thatâs why they were sat in the way back roomâŠbut this is a pretty Nice restaurant⊠Again maybe because we were hidden in some overflow room? Food was impeccable , from appetizer to sea bass, wedge salad and steak of course. We even tried dessert. The drinks took soooo long to come .that wine was offered at no charge which also took too long. Wine great. Martinis not even cold by the time you bring them up two flights of stairs . Our server Evan tried his best but between the slowness of bar , the kitchen who sent wrong side, slow, the room we sat in and the dress code of fellow patrons.. not sure we Would Come back. I came for dinner ..left 3 Hours !! Later ..got a show so Maybe I should be happy? Too many on point spots in town to be packed in like a dining sardine thatâs a number . Where is a manager pouring champagne or apps when things are going wrong? Handing out jackets or removing ball caps when scruffy ness walks in? Manager here needs to tune in.

Wonderful evening at Perry's celebrating my husbands birthday with friends. The service was attentive and friendly from Elizabeth and manager Aljendro. Filets, ribeye and cowboy steaks all cooked to perfection. The rub they use on the meat is delicious all the way to the last bite. Started with infamous deep fried asparagus topped with crab meat, so good! Beautiful decor, cozy and romantic.

We have eaten at Perryâs twice before. Their pork chop, carved table side is outstanding! However, this time, we took advantage of Perryâs Sunday supper. It was delicious! We also enjoyed the calamari cherry peppers and the French onion soup. It was a great meal and our server, Juliana was so friendly and attentive.

We went to the downtown Austin location before seeing Hamilton. We let our waiter know about our timeframe & he was very attentive. I canât say enough about the escargot & steak bleu apps. Mouth watering & full of flavor! Lobster Bisque was equally fabulous. My husband had the massive & tasty pork chops.

We had a business dinner here and everything they served was top notch with great service. Multiple people touching the table constantly. The steak I had was awesome. Medium, rare, perfect color. The sides were delicious. My only real complaint of the whole place was it was way too hot temperature wise. And it was making me uncomfortable after a few hours.

Okay so we were going to a Stars game and wanted to take Dad out for steaks prior. we found Perry's on a list of restaurants close to the AAC. so we made a 5pm reservation(7pm puck drop) we walked in and were greeted immediately and taken to our seats where the waiter offered an abundance of water choices. The service was excellent and the food was second to none. I have eaten at some of the finest steak houses around the country and I would put Perry's right up there. my Father who had the fillet told me it was the best steak he had ever had. the sides were sharable and the pricing was very reasonable for an upscale steak house. Perfect start to a really great evening.

Agree with other reviews the pork chop is very tasty! Not cheap but plenty to share and still take some home. Souse had a salad and we shared. Sides are ordered separately but plenty to share. Vallet your vehicle works great for $10 plus tip.

Absolutely gorgeous interior & atmosphere. Service excellent (Amalie)artinis could have been smaller! Lively piano bar. Escargot had too much caramelized onion in bullion on it making it almost sweet but still tasty. Better with just garlicky butter in my opinion. Sea bass superb & well plated accompaniments. Had Brewer Clifton pinot noir by the glass, not worth the $26, didnât hit my palate and yet I love Santa Rita Hills in general. Go early, gets pretty noisy. All in all a good foodie choice though.

ok so this place is upmarket and not cheap. x1 steak on the bone, couple of shared vegetables and x2 glasses of house wine $100 But you pay for what you get here. Steaks were massive (mine was 22oz on bone) very tasty and very well cooked. Top tip for uk visitors ask for your steak to be cooked +1 up from what you normally like so medium = medium-well done. This is a very large restaurant and it was packed so think booking in advance defo recommended. Talk to you waitress about how you like your steak cooked, this is like an artform to them. There was live piano music with a cool vibe, nice touch

Ended up here on New Years Day mainly because my first choice was closed. So on a whim we decided to go to Perryâs. A very classy atmosphere and elegant property according to TripAdvisor, so we gave it a try and were not disappointed. Great Atmosphere and very nice restaurant. Colton our server did an excellent job and the food was A-Mazing! 5 Stars all the way for this place Steaks were cooked to perfection and the side were top shelf! Great Job Perryâs!

The restaurant is beautiful, with a dark lighting steak house but upscale feel. We had great service but the rib eye was over cooked! Their medium is a well done- it was barely pink in the middle and so tough I ended up sending the $65 piece of meat home with friend to feed to her dogs. Such a shame.

Between the environment, amazing staff and delicious food I highly recommend Perryâs. The pork chops are to die for, the lobster bisque was exquisite with tons of chunks of lobster and the filet was like butter. Letâs not forget the dessert...the strawberry shortcake and chocolate crunch (yes we ordered two âđ») were ah-mazing! The pianist and bass player set the atmosphere. Iâd also like to thank our server Kaitlin and the manager, Trent, for a wonderful experience. They went above and beyond to make our dinner worth every minute waiting and every bite enjoyed.

We booked two months in advance for my wife's 40th birthday. We spoke with someone on the phone about booking the vault room or a table upstairs. My wife decided on the table upstairs because she didn't want to feel enclosed in the vault. It was not a cost based decision. AT NO TIME did they add a disclaimer that this table wasn't guaranteed. Get to the restaurant and they rented out the whole upstairs without telling us. They were completely unapologetic. The classless manager even went out of his way to say he gave us a certain table even though he probably could have given the table we did have to higher paying customers. We booked a limo for the evening and planned to spend plenty that night and the table only fit 6 which was the size of our party, so that was completely unfounded and uncalled for. To make matters even worse, nobody on the entire time even bothered to wish my wife a happy birthday much less do anything to make it special despite us mentioning it in the reservation, in speaking with the manager, and telling the waiter. We have celebrated many special occasions here, and this was by far the worst time we've had. We won't be making that mistake again! The manager introduced us to the area manager who never came by to check on how we were doing. Gave two stars in spite of the horrible service because the food great. Only disappointment there was they no longer do the flaming desserts table side.

We order medallions, asparagus whit crab, truffle potatoes, lobster soup, mac n cheese and wine. Medallions was good, but the crab and lobster soup was delicious. Our waiter George was super friendly and professional. The place is fancy and have different zones to make private parties. I will definitely come back Congrats!

Service was excellent and food was also greatâŠhad some fresh oysters and a smoked porkchopâŠfriends had steak and they were also very satisfied

Every dish was perfectly made. The huge pork chop was insanely large but tasted just as delicious the next day too! The staff was helpful, professional and enhanced the experience. This is a very expensive restaurant â great for special occasions.

I have mixed feelings about our visit to this restaurant. We have been to the Perry's Steakhouse & Grille in The Woodlands Texas numerous times and it's always been our favorite for a special dinner out. Our daughter requested that her birthday dinner be at the Perry's in Austin, so we were looking forward to visiting one we had never been to. There were many things different at this Perry's from the one we usually go to. The first thing we didn't like was that we were a party of six and seated in a long booth. This was not a U-shaped booth, so the waiter had a very difficult time reaching across everybody to get the food and drinks to the people at the back. The second issue was that they had a live piano bar with the piano music piped through the entire restaurant at a very loud level, so we had a difficult time hearing each other, especially the people that were at the back of the long booth. The third issue we had was with the food. The portions were much smaller compared to the portions we receive at the Perry's we usually go to, and food quality not as good. Overall we enjoyed our evening at this restaurant, however it was not nearly as great an experience as was expected.

But make no mis-steak at this restaurant... if it is your first time there, get the famous pork chop, you will NOT be disappointed. It is both good and huge; huge and good. You will need a doggy bag...and if you don't, well, you might need to see somebody about that. Salad's were great... wine list fantastic... atmosphere is a little open, but not too loud. Very much enjoyed.

A place you must go! But don't go without a reservation. The place seems to be always full. The menu has many varieties and many option, what is a good point!! Service is very good. Prices kinda high, but justifiable.

Classic high-end American steakhouse, with an extensive wine list and also Japanese meat offering; among the dishes tried, a spectacular (and huge) pork chop with grated potatoes, fried shrimp with fried potatoes. More than generous portions, nice atmosphere, impeccable service, kitchen time a bit 'long. For a dinner for two, with a course each and a shared side dish, if you settle for a glass of California chardonnay you'll be charged $150, including a tip (now for the latter you travel on 22%). If, however, you opt for meat of Japanese origin, be prepared to pull out a platinum credit card...

Hoping place on a Tuesday night. Nice atmosphere, a little loud, but tolerable. William the waiter was attentive. Imagine seafood in a Steakhouse??!!! The Seared Scallop Pasta was phenomenal. The Alfredo over pasta was excellent but the Marzano sauce made it so much more flavorful and unexpected. Filet was good as well.

I have been in dozens of steakhouses all over the States. Perry's is exceptional. We had the Fillet Perry and the signature pork chop. Wowww. I have never tasted anything like this before. On top of that the service was wonderful and even the music was great. You definitely have to visit this place when in Austin.

I would advise getting reservations. Our server was Brian, and he was so great. He explained the menu, had great suggestions, and was attentive plus alot of fun. I had a dish with a filet, grilled shrimp, and lobster (I think it was a kabob) . They took it off the skewer tableside and the presentation was beautiful. I ordered my filet rare, and it was perfect. Hubby got the ribeye and ordered it medium rare and felt it was a little overcooked, but it tasted very good. The atmosphere is nice. It's the perfect date night or place to celebrate something special.

Went for NYE dinner. Had a special NYE 3 course menu. Service was exceptional and very attentive, ambiance was great, and food was outstanding. Creme brûlée and cheesecake were an excellent finish to the experience.

Terrific meal! We started with the chargrilled blue point oysters which everyone agreed were delicious ! We ordered the prime ribeye with an excellent rub. So delicious! And the perrys signature asparagus with crab meat which i loved! Our fun and fabulous waiter was Josh, he was delightful! We were celebrating my friends birthday so I had the nutty D'Angelo for dessert it was really good but you gotta let it warm up as it is very solidly frozen. We had a fabulous evening and celebration. So glad we chose Perrys!

We are early seniors 65 and took part in the early dining options. Joe was our waiter and explained our choices at 530. Needless to say what a pleasant experience. The pork was tender and glazed with a wonderful mixture of maple herbs and goodness. Not to mention my wifeâs filet of beef cooked to perfection. She had a onion soup and I the wedge of lettuce with a tasty dressing with bacon. We then split the Creme brĂ»lĂ©e. Including the Martinis that were drop dead outstanding. So 36.00 each for everything excluding the martinis. And Joes great service. Itâs a go too for a really nice experience. Thank you Perryâs.

The best meal we've ever had!!! I know that may sound like an exaggeration but it really was the most amazing dinner... the atmosphere was great and everything tasted absolutely incredible. We both had the 10oz Filet Mignon which was cooked to perfectionđđŒ Mushrooms and fries on the side were delicious. Cocktails looked really good but we had wine and prosecco which were delicious. Our servers were fantastic and attentive. Trevor in particular was amazing! We were celebrating our honeymoon in Austin and the staff here definitely made our evening extra special. Highly recommended a visit to Perry's Steakhouse!

Great happy hour options and they will take reservations for happy hour area also. Very accommodating!

Iâm a grizzled, old restaurant guy. Having worked in this biz for 25 years, Iâm hard to impress. I was impressed. Sure, the signature pork chops were visually appealing and impeccably prepared. The fried asparagus was new to me and tasted great. The Brussels sprouts were as good as mine (almost). đ I could go on about how good of an experience this was. Instead, I want to focus on people. A manager took care of wiping down part of our table when it needed it. If Iâm FOH staff, and I see him do that, that makes me want to be on his team. (Plus, he got extra points for taking my joke well when I suggested he wipe down tables at a restaurant we visited earlier in the day.) The person who gets the bigger mention here is Angela. From conversation, we learned Angela is a professional server, not someone doing this work until she gets a ârealâ job. While relatively new to Perryâs, Angela knows how to take care of people from a 15-year career in the industry. Angela made a good meal a memorable event. Thank you, Angela and Perryâs Steakhouse & Grille.

Wonderful evening and meal at Perry's. This is a very nice place to enjoy a great steak or fish for dinner. The ambience was casual chic with attentive service and high quality food in the heart of downtown Austin. Everything was set up for you to have an easy dinner.

We arrived half an hour prior to our reservation time, but we were quickly seated. The place has a nice ambiance. My wife had the seafood pasta dish while I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon with a side of creamy spinach. Both both the steak and the pasta dish were good. Wine by the glass. Had a good selection though. The markup is considerably high. I had the glass of Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon and it was delicious. For dessert we had be putting dish with a large block of marshmallow that had been flamed crispy on top. It was fine. The waiter didn't have the password for Wi-Fi which was disappointing. Restaurant toilet had a very strong smell of urine. Quite a big turnoff. Is it really hard to find a bottle of bleach and add it to water? Doubt we will return.

Our waiter William was very knowledgeable of the complete menu and attentive throughout our meal. He is top class as was the food we ordered. The steaks, salmon , lobster , loaded mashed potatoes , and grilled asparagus was all prepared delightfully as was the calamari appetizer. The free birthday orange cheesecake was wonderful and large enough for sharing! I highly recommend this restaurant and will be backâ€ïž.

Went there on Friday with the wife. She got the pork chop bites and I got the stuffed seafood mushrooms as apps. They were so good we could have had that as our meal. Main dish was surf and turf pasta for me and a 6oz steak for the wife. Both were very flavorful. Would return in a heart beat the next time we are in Austin.

The best option if you have to close a business. The place is perfect and the food is amazing. Every time I visited a Perryâs is a guarantee my day will end so happy! Abran un restaurante en Mexico!!!

Love the pork chop Iâve never had something that tender before, ambiance is great , service is impeccable

My husband had the Cowboy Ribeye and said that was the best steak he ever had in his life. Everything we had was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent.

I love their steak. The food is delicious. This is one of my favorite steak restaurants. This is a great location.

Perry's is an excellent restaurant that goes above and beyond every time I've dined there. The ambiance is refreshing and welcoming. The food is amazing and there is also an excellent choice of wine to choose from. Staff is also always on point, regardless of who was serving that night. Overall I've always had a memorable and enjoyable experience when dining at Perry's.

Attentive server who delivered tasty appetizers of pork bites and blue cheese asparagus. For the main course delicious ribeye, I like mine rare. Sides are Ă la cart.and we had the asparagus, brussels sprouts, and au gratin potatoes. We enjoyed a bottle of the house red and split an orange cheesecake for dessert. Full and content!

We went for his birthday, and we were looking for a special experience. From the curb to the table to the bar, we were treated as special and appreciated. The food was exquisite; the ambiance was ideal. Our meal, from the food to the wine, couldnât have been better. Thank you, Perryâs, for a very special birthday, indeed.

From the greeting through service through the food, nothing but a top rate experience. Beautiful, comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere! The food (NY Strip, baked potato, Cowboy Ribeye, Asparagus, and bread) were perfection!! Portion sizes were extremely appropriate for the price. Would highly recommend Perry's!!! Outstanding experience!! Thank you!!

Located in the upscale Domain in Austin. They offer the best Steaks, Seafood, Cocktails, and Wine. The decor and staff help you relax and enjoy the meal and evening. I loved it all...

Ordered Prime Ribeye but was provided a NY Strip steak instead. Perryâs is overrated fir the price. Bobâs Chop House or Capital Grill much better.

What a fabulous meal! Started with the wedge salad which was great. I then had the bone in strip with a crab cake topper. The crab cake was excellent and the steak nearly perfection. Then to end it, white chocolate cheesecake with blueberries. Unreal! Service was great as well. If Iâm gonna get really picky I felt like the tables were really close together and the dining room noisy. We could hear every word of the conversation at the table next to us, and Iâm sure they could hear ours too. That didnât deter from the food though, which was top notch!

It was good, but not $600 for 4 good. Expectations are high coming to Perryâs. Iâve eaten here a handful of times, including in the bank vault and eating my steak with just a fork, but the last few visits have been slowly declining in experience. Food was a bit salty (filet, escargot). Wagyu flights were fine, but I prefer a less fatty steak if itâs going to be medium rare. (That parts not Perrys fault, though might be good to mention). The service was alright, but not great, and not fine dining. Table fired bananas foster were a nice end to the meal. Maybe they were training a few waiters, as our view included a bunch in a group standing around talking for most of the meal. Back when I worked as a waiter that was a no no. Thereâs too much competition in Austin, so for the next fancy dinner weâll most likely be going elsewhere.

We were looking for a nice steakhouse to celebrate our 27th anniversary. We lucked out by picking the one closest to our hotel! It was amazing! My husbandâs bourbon bloom cocktail was probably the best Iâve tasted! The filet Perry was melt in your mouth delicious! Our server caught on that it was our anniversary and had champagne brought free of charge and dessert! She was beyond friendly!!

After a movie I was looking for a nice restaurant and called Perry's for a reservation and was able to get in at 8:30 PM. I got there early and was seated earlier than the reservation. I ordered the pork chops and they were amazing. I chose the spinach and it was more food than I could eat. Wonderful atmosphere for a nice dinner. If you are in the Austin, TX area I would recommend you consider Perry's for dinner

Pork chop was amazing and wife's ribeye steak was one of the best ever. Service from Thomas was great. No complaints whatsoever from this place....very nice! The steak is served on a cast iron plate so order a bit rarer than normal maybe because it continues to cook a bit - still great though.

Had a great experience at Perry's. Visited for a work related dinner and was highly impressed with both the quality of the food and the level of service. I would recommend Perry's for any special occasion.

Visiting Austin for weekend football game. Vince Youngs was closed so I ordered here instead and was a disappointment. Ordered 6oz filet at 42 dollars. Had to pay 11 dollars for a side of Whipped Potatoes. Asked specifically for utensils and napkins. Received neither which didn't matter because I threw it all away. The steak was COLD and Potatoes tasted out of a box. I understand it was delivered but overall worst tasting food I've wasted over 65 dollars for. Big mistake ordering food from here and I'm still hungry.

Perryâs Steakhouse & Grille in Austin is my go-to spot when I want to impress out-of-state guests â and it never fails to deliver! The food is absolutely delicious, the ambiance is elegant and welcoming, and the staff sets the bar high for exceptional service. I was never much of a pork chop fan until I tried Perryâs famous chops â theyâre off the charts incredible! The staff is consistently professional, friendly, and attentive. On our October 3rd, 2025 visit, we were fortunate to be served by Alys, who was truly world-class in her customer support. She delivered unparalleled attentiveness with grace, humor and a smile to both my son (visiting from Australia) and me. Perryâs continues to set the gold standard for fine dining in Austin! I'll be returning in December with another out of state guest and look forward to my fav Perry's dish - their famous pork chop!

Excellent in every way. Delicious food and great service. Food is a bit slow so expect to wait for a while. However, My family and I had a delicious dinner at Perryâs . Will be back

If you feel like eating with 1000 people all shoved into a cattle car then perrys is for you. From the food to the atmosphere it was very disappointing. Fine dinning is are thing it was far from. More like a Dennys on a busy night. We went on a recommendation. I have one for you Don't waist your time. Austin has so many better options.

We had a group of 12 people for a Saturday dinner and reserved a private room well in advance. The service was outstanding as was our food and wine. This was our best dinner in Austin by a considerable margin. Although not cheap, I thought this was good value based on the wine, service and food we got

We ate dinner here last night after making reservations 2 days prior. We were pleasantly greeted and sat quickly. The booth was large and the cushions very comfortable. Service here is impeccable. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing. He was knowledgeable on all of the menu items and drinks. I had the filet with blue cheese crust and bacon marmalade and it was very good. The roasted corn side dish is to die for too! We were disappointed that the Sriracha Brussels sprouts were unavailable but it was due to poor weather in the area. Alejandro, the assistant manager, overheard us commenting on a neighboring plate and he came over and we had a lovely conversation about the plate, the history of the restaurant and even a ghost story. I canât say enough about the service. It really sets Perryâs apart. Make sure to have the Nutty Dâangelo for dessert. We would definitely return.

Horrible. No other word. I canât wait to go to whataburger to wash out the stain of this horrible lunch. Not enough Irish whisky in the world to get this dry, nasty taste out of my mouth The turkey was brutally dry, , the rest was cold So bad I may just not ever come back Really crappy, waste of my time and money

We're on vacation so we didn't pack business to dressy clothes. We're touring/walking around the town on a warm day in leisure clothes for warm weather. Apparently you have to be dressed in business wear. We were not in athletic gear, just casual clothes. Hats are not allowed either so me in my cap would have my awful hair out. Forget that. The food reviews from people who did try the restaurant were not encouraging anyway.

Really good steak in a beautiful restaurant in Austin, near the center. Service high level for US standards. Not a cheap place.

Birthday dinner for my husband - excellent! We opted to sit in the bar and had a great view of the restaurant - which is beautiful. The was good, but I think maybe he was new or a little off that night - could have been better - but he was very nice and working hard. We had the escargot to start which was one of the best I've had, the garlic, butter and pastry were perfect. As it is a steak house we shared the 14oz Ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. We shared the lobster tail and potatoes au gratin, which was the best I've had, creamy and cheesy and full of buttery flavor. We shared the key lime cheese cake for desert, it was very good. All around a great meal in a great setting, will go back!

Really looked forward to a great steak but disappointed in that it was served covered in pepper despite nothing being stated on the menu- the steak was perfect otherwise. Side dishes of corn and potatoes were excellent as was the service and restaurant ambience.

Great steak, great service. Food was cooked perfectly. Only ordered steak and vegetables but it ticked the box. A little on the more expensive side of austin

Dinner at Perry's definitely lived up to the hype. As expected, my steak (6 oz filet) was excellent. The sides/appetizers (mashed potatoes, sriracha Brussels sprouts, pork chop skewers) my friends and I shared were also amazing, as was my cocktail (Perry berry mule, their take on a Moscow mule). We also shared a delicious Rocky Road dessert. The highlight, though, had to be our server Garrett, who exhibited the most unique blend of eloquence, humor, and faux-arrogance (in the most entertaining way!) with every interaction. We couldn't tell if he was "acting" or if that was his real-life persona, but either way he definitely made our dinner a memorable and enjoyable experience!

We enjoyed our meal at Perryâs. Service was very good. I had lamb chops and they were great. Brussels sprouts were also very good.

This was my first stop at Perry's in the Domain. Dined there shortly after the COVID restrictions were lifted. The visit was mostly good. Ambiance excellent as always, aside from the mostly empty restaurant. The service was awesome (JD was our waiter), attentive but not intrusive. The specialty cocktails were fabulous. We tried the Perry Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon, and it was very nice, especially at that price point. The food: the delicious pastry-puff topped escargot was not on the limited menu, disappointed, but very understood given the cost vs. # of diners in the restaurant; crab cakes, excellent; Filet Perry, perfect temperature, and melt in your mouth good; the surf and turf hanging kabob was wonderful, grateful they removed it from the kabob for us; the whipped potatoes were sublime; the fried asparagus (first time trying that) was very good, get that one when you go; bringing us to the the Perry's Pork Chop. I know its one of Perry's signature items, but it really disappointed. Very dry. And the caramelized finish was way too sweet, overpowered the chop. I am not a fan of most marinated meats. I was surprised at how sweet the caramelized chop was. Obviously, the chop is a sought after meal at Perry's, it just did not work for me. All in all, a very good meal. We will definitely go back, no pork chop next time!

Fantastic ambiance, food and service!!! Ray was so sweet and he made sure we everything was perfect⊠Filet cooked to perfection, seafood and veggies delicious đ Highly recommend this restaurant!!

Again went for my father's birthday. They thought it was an anniversary and put rose petals on the table. Overall, everything seemed a bit off this visit. The biggest disappointment was the Symphony Kabob. The meat was overcooked and the asparagus was undercooked. My father and husband ordered the famous pork chop. As the manager was doing the presentation of the pork chop he called in the Symphony Kabob but didn't give any details over the radio. As such, my meat was over cooked and not medium. The shrimp and lobster was rubbery. My father and husband enjoyed the pork chop and had left overs. Again they offer the trio desert for birthdays. Beware if you have a nut allergy as two out of the three have nuts. Again the wait between the meal and desert was long. There entire place seemed to be overwhelmed. It is good to see the manager stepping in to make desert for the table next to us and the porch chop presentation. I won't order the Symphony Kabob again. It wasn't worth what I paid for it. The coffee comes in a bowl like cup. The beef and blue app is really good and worth ordering. The valet uses text messaging to signal when to get a car. My father and husband loved the pork chop so I see us coming back for that but for special occasions we will probably go else where in the future.

Great atmosphere. Comfortable seating. The staff is so friendly and helpful. My server was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing thankfully. The Brussels sprouts and CrÚme brûlée are delicious! The Filet Perry was well-cooked but a little too salty sadly.

First steak was over cooked. Waited 20 mins before a waiter took wine order. Waited 10-15 mins whilst family finished their dinner before correctly cooked one arrived. Steak quality distinctly average, and the house-seasoning was strong in flavor masking meat flavor. Sat under blast of aircon that was chilling to the core. At 9pm lights turned down so low, impossible to read dessert menu Very large place that felt like it wasnât staffed adequately for a Friday night in July. Service friendly but servers felt over-reached. Restaurant has ambience of a large a bland chain, devoid of character. Overpriced. Overall quality and ambiance very disappointing, try somewhere else.

Great Steakhouse!!! We were promptly seated at 7pm (reservation was for 7pm) and was provided a gluten free menu upon my request. We opted to order off the regular menu instead of the special Thanksgiving menu. The server informed us that food would take a little longer than normal due to heavy volume which was fine as we were in no rush. The manager came over to our table to confirm my gluten free meal which was a nice touch. Overall very impressed with this restaurant especially with the rush of the holiday season.

Another awesome experience at Perry's Steakhouse. If you are in Austin TX......it's must Dine! The porkchop on Friday is to die for!

Well the reviews didnât disappoint, the food was fantastic and service was great. Fillet, Tomahawk, calamari, bison and lobster was all brilliant.

A great place to unwind and have a really good meal. We stopped in the bar and had a drink at HH. The bar may be one of the nicest I've ever been in, but the flip side was the Mai Tai was the worst I've ever had anywhere--order something else. Dinner was fantastic, we both had steaks and they were perfect. I'd dine here again anytime.
Perry's Steakhouse
Restaurant was a little loud. It was a Marathon weekend so maybe this is not norma. Some of the food seemed a little salty. The Surf/Turf with pasta was absolutely fantastic! Best part of our experience was our waiter- Evan. The management needs to clone him or at least have all new hires spend time with him.
