Great ambiance

By O2795HJbrianb |

Went here with some friends. Had a reservation seated quickly. Wine was delicious. Started with calamari and crab cakes. Very good and highly recommend. For dinner I got the pork chop. Omg it tasted like a honey glazed ham. So good. For the side I got mashed potatoes and corn. Both amazing. Our waiter did a great job. Great place for date nite

very bad experience

By terry t |

Terrible service. Very Bad. Server was nice but seemingly overwhelmed. Very undersfaffed. Do NOT recommend. Waited over 10 min for server to appear. 20 min in between each drink order.

Nice atmosphere and food but very noisy.

We went this month when we were in Dallas for a convention at the Gaylord. The restaurant is quite loud which can be a problem for some people. We were a couple and had a hard time hearing each other across the small table. The cocktails were really good. I had the bubbly lemon one and my husband had the Tom Collins one. High marks on these. We ordered wine. They have an extensive list and prices to go along with it. Our very nice waiter/waitress told us about this great wine they were offering (sounded like a house special one). We listened and were going to order it when I happened to ask what it costs-$180/bottle. We ended up ordering one that was $130 so it isn’t that we are not use to pricey bottles....but come on. Pretty sure if you are telling us about a bottle and it sounds nice but we asked “is it like your house wine?” Then you should probably also tell people so we don’t have to be embarrassed and ask. It was awkward and seemed a bit slimy. I ordered the Southwest filet and it was cooked perfectly. My husband had the huge Cowboy steak and enjoyed it. We ordered the Lyonnaise potatoes, spinach, and mushrooms. We actually had to send the potatoes back because they were crazy salty-and I am someone who puts more salt on French fries. Sad part is they were still on our bill at the end..... The mushrooms were very good and so was the spinach. Again, pretty salty but better than the potatoes. I think our bill was close to $300 before tax and tip.Best thing was the waitstaff. Worst part were the sides..... I think we would pick another restaurant next time we come to Dallas

Slowwwwwwww!

By Richard B |

Restaurant was understaffed and slowest service ever. It took 30 minutes to discover the bottle of wine we ordered was out of stock. After placing a new order for a glass of wind it was an additional 40 minutes before the wine arrived. Our food finally arrived 1 hour, 45 minutes after being seated. The waiter was doing his best under trying circumstances in the establishment. First impression? Will never return and would not recommend anyone trying this restaurant. Other than the waiter no one even tried to apologize for the abysmal service times.

Comfortable steakhouse

By stilts16 |

Recommended to dine hear after evening meeting. Sat in bar area and had a wonderful meal. Waitress was spot on. Food was well prepared. Left feeling like I ate too much. Steak was perfectly cooked.

Excellent Steaks, Lobster Bisque

By Carl S |

A beautiful, intimate restaurant with excellent food and impeccable service. Great steaks and lobster bisque is wonderful.

New Favorite

Outstanding menu with a variety of meats. Inventive and creative appetizers/starters including lobster asparagus. Don’t miss out on Friday lunch special.

Can’t cook a steak

By Cynthia P |

A steakhouse that can’t cook a steak. This is their interpretation of a medium temp filet. I got food poisoning and was sick for days!! Don’t know what was in that food 🤢

Never Disappoints

By Dave P |

Had our anniversary dinner here. When i called to make reservations at the end of the conversation the person asked if this was a special occasion. I told him yes and they took it from there without asking. Upon our arrival a table for two in a quiet corner of the restaurant with rose peddles on the tabletop awaited. The meal, service, and attention were first class. Dinner was topped off with a complementary dessert sampler. Thanks to the Frisco Perry's for making us feel special on our special day!

Ask for Timothy!

By Alejandra O |

As part of our weekend getaway, my boyfriend made reservations to Perry’s for us to enjoy a formal dinner. If the food wasn’t enough to make you want to revisit, Timothy definitely is! Timothy was such a delight and assured our visit at Perry’s was nothing short of amazing. Thank you for your attentive nature & humor. Our dinner was that much better because of you :)

Pretty good pork chop

By Delleez D |

My husband had been dying to try their special pork chop after hearing marvelous things about the menu item, so I decided to take him for a special lunch on Father's Day Weekend. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. We were seated at a lovely booth to the side right away. Our server, Vanessa, was very sweet, however it took her some time to get to us initially, perhaps she was overwhelmed, although it was not exceedingly busy. We were patient and the waiting continued in between each time we saw her. She asked if I would like my salad right away, I said yes, it took a long time. We saw other table being served warm bread and butter, but not ours. Still waiting for the salad, it finally came and had the wrong dressing and we still did not have bread. The salad finally comes back and personally, when a customer asks about a salad, I feel the server should inform them it is all iceberg lettuce in this day and age. That was disappointing. Then my husband's pork chop comes; it looks amazing. It was quite good. I ordered the creamed spinach and the asparagus on the side as my meal, although the asparagus turns into something quite heavy when fried and the teaspoon of lump crab on top is truly a bite only. We did finally get bread though and my water glass and the bottle went empty. We were still patient, but not impressed. I really expected more and hoped it would me a wonderful experience for my husband. I do appreciate the special request for seating being honored, as he is a 21 year Army Veteran and has certain seating preferences.

Tricked but still delicious

By LillyBee |

Visiting Austin for Husband's birthday we went here for one of his birthday dinners based on the reviews. I was not feeling well prior so I only ordered beef & bleu for our app, French onion soup, au gratin potatoes and asparagus as our sides to share. My husband ordered the special which was a 16oz wagyu beef hybrid steak which sounded yumm and different. However, the waiter came back and said they were all out someone got the last one. We had already given back the menus and are not huge steak connoisseurs so we asked for a recommendation to which he recommended the Tomahawk steak blah blah blah. My husband agreed trusting him and we were greeted with a Tomahawk steak (google it) (we felt awkward not knowing) a 32oz (double the initial order size). It was a great showpiece as the whole dining area upstairs stopped and stared and makes for a good story and good photos. The steak of course was delicious but we just felt a little tricked since the steak was double the size, probably double the price etc. maybe because I didn't get an entrée? Anyways we had an overall good experience. The waiters in our area were super stretched like two for a bunch of tables so they were not very attentive. Wish we had tried the pork chop but when in Texas you have steak...

We have been to Perry’s 2

By momlindsay |

We have been to Perry’s 2 times in the last month because I love the food, service and patio! Although we are at the old location a few times after it first opened I kind of forgot about it. But we will keep returning now! And, can I just say that the service is awesome!!!! Like they even refill your water when your paying the bill! I’m always so thirsty at the end of a meal and hate when they don’t refill my water! Get the calamari, filet and pork chop!!!!!

Mother’s Day/Birthday celebration

By Christina H |

This is my favorite steakhouse in Dallas. Great drinks, appetizers (pork chops bites), salad, entrees and desserts! Love the entire experience!! I go every year for my birthday and this year brought my mom there for hers.

One of the best dinners we have ever had.

By Colleen R |

We have been to numerous excellent, highly rated restaurants over the years and I have to say that Perry’s Steakhouse is right up there with the Best. The atmosphere was very nice and we arrived early but we were able to be seated right away and the hostess was very pleasant. Both my husband and daughter had steaks and they were thrilled with them and said that they were done perfectly and well flavored. I had the pork chop that was amazing and I have never had one done like this, it was perfect. To start we had a shrimp cocktail, which were very nice size and lobster bisque, nice amount of lobster meat and the broth wasn’t to thick. One filet, prime bone-in Cowboy ribeye and pork chop for our meat selections. All were done to perfection. For the sides we enjoyed the roasted creamed corn, nice spice to it, creamed spinach and fried asparagus, nice sauce but a tad to greasy for us. We were way to full to even think about dessert. Would go back again on our next to Dallas.

Still So Good!

By flalove2travel |

We had a reservation and were promptly seated at a booth. The service throughout the meal was attentive, and we did not have to ask for anything. The french onion soup was served hot, and was delicious. The pork chop did not fail to disappoint, and the sea bass was one of the best we have had. We did hear that they have a special lunch pork chop offered on Fridays too. If you are in the area do not miss enjoying a lunch or dinner here.

Beautiful Views

By PBTexan |

We visited Perry's at the downtown Dallas location. The 2nd floor dining area is beautiful and amazing view of downtown. Staff at front desk was wonderful and very friendly. We were almost late for our reservation due to line at valet station which is utilized by several restaurants in the area. Our waiter was a bit odd and we think may have been new and seemed nervous but overall he was okay. Food was wonderful. Received a free dessert trio for my birthday and we also had the flaming bananas foster which was fun to watch but taste was just okay. I would recommend the downtown location as i have heard from others and I agree this is the best location for its view and food.

Hands Down Best Pork Chop Ever

By David S |

the title of my review says it all. The pork chop is simply unmatched. Based on our waiter's suggestion we split the chop as an appetizer for three of us as it is rich and heavy and would be hard to eat the whole thing as a meal. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides as good as any steakhouse in the city, and Dallas is loaded with good steakhouses! Mushrooms are a must! The appetizers and fish entrees are perfect. This steakhouse stacks up with the big boys and priced to compete! Good vibe, not too noisy and good for conversation. The wine list is very nicely priced and very comprehensive!

Fabulous steak and excellent unobtrusive service!

By 67bosco |

On a hot balmy summer evening in uptown Dallas, a bunch of us - about 23 in total - attended a dinner at Perry’s. Luckily for us we timed it right. Diving in for cocktails just before the thunderstorms and lightening hit. Perry’s is a very stylish, Art Deco design influenced steakhouse. For those that don’t know it, in 1979, the Perry family opened its first restaurant in Southeast Houston called Perry's Butcher Shop and Deli. By 1986, Chris Perry persuaded his father Bob to add dining tables, and viola, a new market opening was created. Chris went on to create Perry's Steakhouse & Grille in 1993. Now an award-winning steakhouses Perry’s have locations in Denver, Chicago, Birmingham and across Texas. Which brings us nicely to today. We started with wine, beers and cocktails on the ground floor (or first floor as the Americans like to call it). I had a glass of Malbec followed swiftly by a ‘Smokey Rita cocktail (Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila shaken with Dekuyper 03 liqueur, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar. Served with a Habanero rim - although I’m sure mine had rum instead of Tequila - the Habanero was a nice twist!). We then went down to a private room. We started the meal with the appetiser trio. A fried concoction of small whole crabs/lump crabmeat, asparagus and also calamari and asparagus all deep fried in a light batter. Nice but a bit heavy on the fried food! We then had a second course choice of salad. Either iceberg wedge (and I mean wedge!) or Caesar salad. Both were impeccable! Almost a main rather than plain old salad starter! For entree I had the Fillet Mignon with herb garlic butter and what was listed on the menu as whipped potatoes but looked and tasted more like a cheesy and creamy Au Gratin Potatoes. The cheese on the potatoes was simply amazing! The rest of the vegetable sides were, well, meh. The Fillet Mignon though...mamma Mia! Fabulous. I had mine well done and it incredibly well cooked. The cut was perfect and cooked to perfection; crisp on the outside and perfect inside. None on our table had the pork chop but they did on other tables. Like other reviewers the ‘Perry’s Famous Pork chop’ lived up to it’s mythical reputation. This chop was apparently humongous - the size of a dinner plate. Sorry no picture of this fabled beast! One guy said he shared his pork chop with two other people though!! The spaghetti squash primavera looked great as the veg option. Not sure if anyone had the airline style chicken breast but that sounded er, a bit scary! Now I’m a bread freak; you can tell a good restaurant by its bread basket or bread offering. Here it was a small white cottage of milk loaf affair. Lovely and fresh with lovely fresh butter. Delicious! The deserts were delicious also. A trio of crime brûlée, chocolate crunch and praline cheesecake (which was the undoubted star in my humble opinion!). Service was superb with a special ‘shout out to the mesmerising coffee latte with a cinnamon topping (almost cinnamon Graham sugar topping tasting). Service was excellent; wained a smidge at the end but that’s me being fussy. So all in all, a real 5 star! Try it out if you’re in town! You won’t be disappointed!

Food & Service

By H H |

Our steaks were not cook as ordered. They were also very tough. I also noticed that the couple sitting next to us had to send their steak back for more heat, as well. I don't mind spending money or waiting, as long as I get what I pay for. The service nor the food is just not what it used to be at Perry's in Birmingham.

Pork Chop Rules

By CCC2222 |

The 32oz Pork Chop will knock you out it’s so delicious. We wife and I split one and we couldn’t finish it. My partner ordered one for himself thinking he could finish it. He was wrong big time. The flavor is what got to me! They smoke it and it has a flavor unto itself. Out table had other dishes as well and they were all spectacular. Please come to So Cal we need you😎

The steak was extremely good BUT

By amexviajera |

The first glass of wine was served in a glass with lipstick stains. When the client asked for a clean class he astutely ordered a different wine. Instead he was brought the same wine in probably the same glass. Another person ordered coffee and his cup was lipstick stained as well. The second cup came and it was served cold...like room temp The replacement cup (attempt #3)was instant coffee..although it was hot. . The wait was incredible although we had reservations and arrived on time. The steak orders were mixed and another diner was arguably told it was his order. Not so because he had ordered the house special steak served on a bed of asparagus and his plate clearly did not have asparagus. VERY pricey and could probably get the same quality of steak around the corner at one of the other steak houses.

Not worth’s the money unless you go for Friday lunch pork chop

By Mary Kate B |

I had steak. For what we paid it was no where near the top of the best steaks I have had. Desserts are excellent!

Out of this world Pork Chop

By Fields J |

Unbelievable Pork Chop - one of the best I have ever had - large enough for two or more - service was exceptional - scallop potatoes also very good - more than ample portion so much so I did not have room to sample their bread pudding for dessert. If you love pork chops this is a must visit if you are in downtown Dallas

So good in every way

By Chip W |

We were staying at the Ritz Carlton and didn't want to go to far, Perry's is about 500 feet away! We did not have a reservation on a Friday night, but it was a little late, maybe 8:00 and we were seated at what was in my opinion, one of the best tables in the house. The live music was just the right volume, not loud enough to interfere with conversation, but just enough to be enjoyable and very good. The food was spectacular. Jose was our waiter and didn't miss a trick. My wife forgot her reading glasses and Jose came with 3 pairs for her to choose from. The pork chop is spectacular, huge and intimidating, carved table side and cooked to a tender perfection. The bone in strip was also cooked to a perfect mid-rare. Table side prepared desserts were aflame around us and just looked fantastic. If only every restaurant could capture the ambiance and quality that Perry's has!!

Nice steakhouse.

By whileitravel |

Wife and I were hungry for a steak so we opted to try this steak house which was located very near our hotel. The weather was beautiful so we opted to sit outside. We both ordered filet mignon along with a glass of wine for myself and a margarita for the lady. Both steaks turned out just right. Nice upscale restaurant and pleasant ambience. Good service. Would eat here again. Recommended.

Perry's Porkchop is the Best Pork Chop I've Ever Had!

By Nicholas T |

Went here on a work trip and the food was absolutely fantastic! They have their own proprietary way of cooking/smoking the pork chop and they were recommending it like crazy so I had to try it. It did not disappoint!! They hand carved it at the table for me. It literally melted in my mouth! Some of my coworkers tried the steak and ahi tuna as well and loved it!

Mediocre at Best.

By Squealers |

I dined for an early dinner. Sat at the bar. My martini was exceptional. Sadly that was the best element of this evenings meal. I ordered the gulf shrimp appetizer which were a 6/10. Ordered the bone in Cowboy Ribeye. It was one of the worst steaks I’ve had in the past 20 years. If this is a prime cut then they need to look for another provider. It was over cooked to my medium rare request and seriously the taste and consistency of the meat is what you’d expect from taking a frozen steak out of your freezer at home and tossing it on the grill. No way did it substantiate the 79 dollar price tag. In all honesty it tasted like a 25 dollar steak. I am disappointed as the reviews were strong. I’ll not be back.

Impeccable Experience

By tphybridtx |

Perry’s on McKinney Avenue in Dallas consistently delivers a home run for anyone looking for a fine dining steak experience. I have been several times over the years, and my trip to Perry’s last week was no exception. We went on a Sunday evening and were surprised to find out that they had a Sunday Special for $34.95 which included any salad, their signature Pork Chop and a desert sampler trio. Let me take moment, and say that the Perry’s Pork Chop is unlike anything you’ve ever eaten. It is a huge portion, in three parts that is more than enough for two people. But if it is Friday lunch ($14.95), or the Sunday Special, then you each should get one so you can have leftovers the next couple of days. A member of our party had the 10oz filet mignon for $49 and it was cooked to perfection. The sides are extra and served family style. They are more than enough for 3-4 people. I recommend the Brussel Sprouts (trust me) and the Lobster Mac and Cheese. There are several salad choices, but my favorite is the Wedge Salad. Again, it is large enough to share. The service is friendly, attentive, but unobtrusive. On our last visit, our sides didn’t arrive exactly with our meal, but 3 minutes later. No big deal to us, but when we received our bill, we found the manager had “comped” the sides. The only drawback to Perry’s Uptown is the parking. It is almost a necessity to valet due to the lack of convenient parking for those who don’t know the area. If you’re considering Perry’s, then you should take the “pork chop” plunge.

Very very very good and chic

A chic, high-end restaurant, refined place, modern decor, attentive staff, professional, well-cooked meat, great atmosphere, superb atmosphere, I highly recommend it

Quick After Work Birthday Dinner

By Faith Wilkins |

My friend Jerika picked this location for her birthday dinner. Loved this location it was my first time here. Having patronized the Frisco location for my 41st birthday this particular venue made a huge impression than the Frisco location. The ambience was perfect, there was a little bit of a wait before I got seated. My friend had already made reservations for her birthday which made it easier to get settled in. We shared the spinach dip and she got the burger sliders and I had the ceaser salad. I wasn’t too hungry so I didn’t get to indulge much but truly enjoyed the atmosphere. I will be sure to come back in the near future probably for happy hour. Our server Angel was pleasant and very attentive. We did not feel rushed or neglected. He made the guest experience positive. Loved that they have garage parking adjacent to the restaurant which was a huge plus for me. All I had to do was take the elevator down to the lobby and I was at the restaurant.

Luxury Dining

By melori4937 |

Selected this fine dining "steak house" on a business trip. Not an exaggeration by saying it was the best steak I have ever had. I chose the 6 oz filet "Perry Style". It was wrapped in thick bacon (what isn't better wrapped in bacon?) and topped with a compound butter. What made this better than Mortons or Ruth Chris? The creation of a truly dreamy spice rub. Pricey but delicious.

Love this restaurant

By Chestermere |

What an amazing experience, super service and beautiful ambience. We had a very nice private booth for two, but I couldn’t believe how many great big groups they were serving in all their different areas, and still maintained excellent service to everyone. That Porkchop special is a must try - slowly smoked and so tender. Suggest you share it, as it is a big portion and carved tableside. We started with the small seafood tower & that is also an excellent choice. Our server was Pedro, and he was awesome, and comical. Will definitely go back.

AMAZING

By Amari J |

Came to Dallas for the Dallas Market Event and ate here after day 1. It was amazing. The food was top tier and the waiter/bartender was so nice! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone! A little pricey, but so very much worth it! Can’t wait to come back!

Very nice ambience and stuff - gets busy for lunch so book ahead. Very fairly priced and their short rib signature dish is phenomenal.

Wonderful atmosphere & Great service

By DeDe L |

I'm not a steakhouse person, went with friends while visiting Dallas, Texas. Nice, very nice! Good food great server. Will definitely go back when in Dallas!!!

Everyone must go here at least once!

By Barbara B |

Came with friends to celebrate my birthday and was not disappointed. The bar is beautiful and my martini was perfect. Read the quotes on the beautiful glass bar. Nice way to begin your dinner You must have the fried asparagus and their Brussels sprouts. Even if you think you don’t like either of these you must try them! They are absolutely delicious. The asparagus was fried to perfection and topped with lump crabmeat. The coating was light and had just the right amount of seasoning. The Brussel sprouts were roasted beautifully with just the perfect amount of charring. When I have steak it is always a rib eye but I thought I’d try the filet. It was tender seasoned well and cooked a perfect med/rare. The mashed potatoes were light, fluffy and went well with the steak. Of course who doesn’t love mashed spuds! The bread was warm and served with whipped butter. I will return to Perry’s to experience the famous pork chop. I heard it is fabulous!

Just My Steakhouse

By Kathleen F |

We like this place better than Ruth Chris or Mortons. They have superb steaks. Also chops and seafood. The wine list is great and the sommelier is very helpful. Its definitely an upscale setting with a lounge and live jazz.

Subpar Steaks

By Jon L |

In town for a convention we joined a large group looking forward to a great meal and a delicious steak. The good: Appetizers including seafood towers were excellent! Service was also solid but unfortunately the rest of our experience and meals were hugely disappointing. In fact none of the steaks were cooked as ordered and in some cases 2 temperatures off. Sides, average. Desserts also average. Entrees were a joke. My Ribeye was small and mostly fat with the remaining meat chewy and tasteless. Not only was this not prime, I literally could have had a better steak at Longhorn for less than half the price (no offense to Longhorn!) What a joke! Nobody loved their steak and a coworker stopped eating his sea bass after a few bites and said it was fishy tasting and inedible. 6 in our party of 15+ had stomach issues several hours afterwards. All but 1 had the ribeye! The only reason for 1 star is due to the service and the seafood towers although maybe it was the oysters that got them? If the meal was free I still wouldn't return.

Price too high for service and food quality

By FFood FFlavors |

To start the staff was not very inviting at all. I felt how we are treated at an airport. Because my wife has medical reasons we took the elevator that smelled like spoiled seafood. Clearly no one is checking in that. The food was good at best but they have this thing about putting these fried something on their dishes that I have dubbed “grease strings” cuz they just taste like oil. I paid $67 for a bone in filet that had almost no flavor, I asked to top it with lump crab and got 4 pieces of lump crab for $6. Food and service does not support the price for sure. Last was our clueless server and I’ll leave it at that.

disappointed

By Josh T |

We were at Perry's to celebrate Thanksgiving. The service was wonderful. Our waiter Terence was the best! Manager was also very nice. No complains there! The food was unfortunately underwhelming. The starters were good. My daughter and her husband had the bone-in strip which was good. My wife had the Chateaubriand which was dry and tasteless. I waited an hour and a half for the Prime Rib. I was told it would be worth the wait. It was the worst Prime Rib I have ever had. It was thin, overcooked, and salty. It didn't even look like prime rib. We spent over $700, excluding the bar tab. We had a great time because we were together and the service was great. I have eaten at a different Perry's before and enjoyed it. We might have been on an "off day," possibly because of the holiday.

Great food and excellent service

By AHS64 |

Had a birthday celebration of a family member. All had a different entrees, shared calamari ( spicy with lots of peppers) and fries, some desserts. We all liked our food, and excellent service made the dinner very enjoyable. Highly recommend.

Not one Flaw-Very Good

By mspatron |

First night in for a weekend conference and folks at the hotel told us Perry's. From the time you walk in to when you are seated you are taken care of immediately. We were asked if we wanted a cocktail first before seating, (the young lady's voice at the piano bar was soothing and all her songs were fantastic all night) but we said no we were hungry. Started out with the beef carpaccio and that was wonderful. Some had the bass sitting on some creamy corn, others had salmon that was very fragrant, others had the filet. All I can say was everything was spot on, the wine that was recommended by the server was outstanding. The restaurant was beautiful, the mile high bottles of wine, the lighting, the quietness of the wait staff as they served you and picked up the plates was nice. A definite repeat.

Avoid for Business Dinners if Service Matters

By HotelGuestTraveler |

I usually write very positive reviews but the service was so poor last night and the manager so sound deaf I wanted to share the experience. We had a 7pm reservation for 4 people on a Thursday evening at the McKinney street location. We were not seated until 820. The hostess and the manager were not apologetic or even willing to offer an explanation for a 70 minute delay. Once seated the service was abysmally slow. A clear plus- the food was outstanding. But the horrible service really wreaked havoc on our business dinner. Despite the food quality, I would urge business travelers to avoid this restaurant at all costs. I know the four of us will never return.

Yet another FAIL!

By culehmann |

We live 50 yards from Perry and should be there more often just because of the proximity, but we always had reservation problems. We had made reservations for two at 6:45 pm outside on a Friday. Perry's called earlier in the day to confirm that we were coming (interrupting a conference call) and I confirmed the time and the seating arrangement. We showed up on time, and were made to wait at the entrance. When we -after 5 min- were shown to a table, it was inside. We immediately pointed out that we were booked for outside and were told that those tables "were spoken for". No apologies. When we pointed out how frustrating this experience was, we received some shrugged shoulders. The person we complained to was unable to keep her mask over nose and mouth. The friendliest person was the off-duty police officer that they hire to stand in the entrance. I have a business reservation here next week that I will cancel.

Amazing steak

By nathanwilliams7 |

First time diner, and loved I️t. The Filet Perry, That comes with the crab meat is amazing. Probably the best steak I’ve eaten. Would highly recommend. We sat at the bar, and it was nice but the dining room is a great date location. Not a cheap meal by any mean, but worth I️t.

Lots of food for one… five stars!

By Aguawater |

I went with a seafood themed dinner… smoked salmon appetizer with the salmon entree. I had a wonderful glass of wine (terrific wine list) and a wedge salad. Had a piece of pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Yes… a lot of food for one. I really did it as a sampler and ate about half of each serving. All in all… excellent. Food was delicious (salmon was a bit rare for me) but the rest of the meal was great. I sat at the bar. I wanted college football. It was a great experience. A lil pricy… but we’ll worth the splurge. This is a chain restaurant, but it was wonderful. Highly recommended.

Wonderful dinner

By Formans |

There are a tremendous amount of high end steak places in Dallas. Perry’s ranks right up there at the top of my list. The manager, Austin, introduced himself to almost every single table. His team followed his lead and provided excellent service. My wife and I split the Chateaubriand. The steak was great and the 3 sauces made it the perfect dish. My son really liked the Perry filet. As numerous other people have mentioned the lobster bisque soup is a winner. The mount blanc a la Frisc was the perfect end to the evening. I highly recommend Perry’s!!

It was good but not great

By butler68 |

We enjoyed the food but prices were a bit high for what they offer. We felt there are better places around for the money.

The Best Pork Chop Ever!

By GrapeHeart |

Perry’s has an unbelievable pork chop that is very special. Roasted for hours to perfection. It has 3 parts to it so it is a very diverse entree and served with a bit of applesauce. On Sunday nights they have a deal! 3 courses for $34.95 and the entree is the full size pork chop. Sides are extra but you don’t need them unless u just want They also feature the pork chop on Fridays at lunch for a discounted price but just the pork chop entree only! No additional courses. Call for reservations if planning on lunch on a Friday bc it will be packed.

Great service and food!

By Urbanfarmgrl |

We did it for the workshop and the spaghetti squash pics on reviews. It did not disappoint!! We sat at the bar - great drinks. The bread is notable. The pork chop is meant for 3 and delicious. He swapped out the dessert for the mashed potatoes- so good! The spaghetti squash was even better than it looked.

Excellent food, excellent service.

By Chelle |

Our server, Morgan, was outstanding. She was extremely attentive and made our anniversary celebration extra special. She even made sure I had a dessert along with my hubby whose dessert came with his meal. Wonderful evening.

Delicious

By Rad_Diver |

Came here for my birthday dinner and was not disappointed. Everything was absolutely delicious and the waitress even brought me a dessert sampler with a candle for my birthday. Highly recommend the pork chop bites as an appetizer, so good! Would definitely revisit when I come back to Dallas.

Still A Wonderful HH spot

By CS1Portland |

When we lived in Dallas we were frequent customers here for HH and also that pork chop luncheon. The restaurant is apparently moving space later this year so best check before you turn up when they are actually moving. Terrible road and construction going on outside the current building. Jordan did a good job for us while we sat at the bar imbibing. For HH snacks (enough for dinner really)The steak tartare, escargot and pork chop bites were each awesome. Dont forget to ask for some fresh baked bread and butter-yum.Wines by the glass also on HH along with a martini and a mai tai. Excellent value in a classy place. Good luck with the upcoming move.

Not a good experience for our 29th Wedding Anniversary

By valerie h |

Came to this location for our 29th Wedding Anniversary. Husband thought it would be nice and different as we often celebrate special occasions at the Downtown Dallas Location. Not only were we overcharged but had to send back the brussel sprouts that were near raw. When expressed to the waitress that I love the brussel sprouts in Dallas and these were not the same, her response was "interesting" we had to ask her to take them off the bill. She knew we were celebrating our anniversary and after sweeping the rose petal sto the corner of the table never acknowledged it again. Husband ordered the PorkChop dinner and was overcharged. Called the next day and after a week still had not received credit. It was not the best experience and my husband felt very bad and as a result took me to another fine dining restaurant the following weekend to make up for it.

Disappointing

By Venture757248 |

Food ok experience terrible. Slow check in and little service. Drinks order was 30 minutes plus (including refills!). Wait person was very polite but obviously had too many tables (available for orders but that’s about it). Zero view for a restaurant built for the view (this was apparently our fault for not requesting- HINT…your fault..explain view not available when reservation made). Been awhile since I’ve been there and will be awhile before I return (both will be happier). Not what I remembered and all of their problems are the customers fault. Management of service definitely not a priority…but sure mgmt assumes no responsibility

business lunch

By AlwaysTraveled |

I eat plenty of "business" lunches... like Morton's recently in Houston and another one of it's ilk in Chicago... more and more I wonder, how the heck do these types of establishments even stay in business? The service is phony and outdated, the decor is utterly unimaginative, but probably has to be that way as to not contrast the utterly unimaginative food. No wonder food trucks and all sorts of independent places get cult-ish like followings. The food in these "steakhouses: is a serious throw back to the heritage of this country.... where a few privileged people got served their meals in sterling silver by the not so privileged. Even back then, the servers would spit in or do nasty things to the food.. they were so happy being served and out of silver...they never paid attention to the food. Start making some real food folks..especially if you want to charge your kind of prices. Sorry but the food is just so blah. Couldnt help being really honest about it.

Pork Chop

Fantastic service, Good atmosphere and typically warm Texan hospitality. The food was very good and the Pork Chop was on another level. Highly recommended to fellow Brits!

Fancy American Steakhouse

By Johnny Trekkie |

This premium southern steakhouse chain serves up classic Americana meats accompanied by classic Americana appetizers and sides. Inside is elegant, romantic, beautiful, and expensive. Yes, expensive, this place ain't cheap! Fortunately I was being wined and dined by a respectable and unnamed company with deep pockets. $15 Lobster Bisque...good! But I've had better and there wasn't that much lobster in here. $45 8oz Filet Mignon...no complaints! The beef was so soft, juicy and tender. The herbed bernaise sauce was perfect Americana on a perfect piece of meat. $20-40? South African Lobster Tail...so good! Never has a SA lobster, tasted unique. $12.50 Brussel Sprouts...tasty but doused too much sauce. $12 Mac N Cheese...fancy mac n cheese! Lots of added spices and extras, lovely! $10 Creme Brulee...one of the best in America! *I also drank lots of wine and had an Old Fashioned cocktail at the end...I think my suitor spent over $200+ on me...hope I was worth it! Great steakhouse, great service, and high prices to match...anyone want to try to woo me? Take me here, and pick up the tab! ;)

Perfect Anniversary Night Dinner

By May2287 |

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner and had a fabulous time. Our waiter, Justin, was super attentive, had wonderful suggestions and never left us waiting for anything. The Wedge Salad was delicious, the steaks were good although mine had to be re-fired because of cook and my husband's NY Strip was a little too fatty. Asparagus was delicious, the herb butter they cook everything in is divine, love the non-alcoholic sodas, the risotto was ok, and the desserts amazing! The creme brulee is perfection and the table side Candied Nuts cooked in brandy, butter, brown sugar poured over a scoop of ice cream and a white chocolate shell is making me hungry just writing about it! Overall wonderful experience and we will be back!

Best date spot

By Nikki |

Went for Valentine’s Day and it did not disappoint. The food is top tier, everything was delicious. I had the fried asparagus and the Chargrilled Salmon. The only thing I didn’t like was that it was extremely packed almost claustrophobic for how close the tables were.

Anniversary Dinner

By kyle214 |

We went to Parry’s in uptown Dallas to celebrate a wedding anniversary because we’d never been and it was listed as a top romantic dinner spot. Service was inconsistent, waiting long periods to have cocktails re-filled. Our sever said the bar was slow (hello Captain Obvious) which didn’t impress as we both expected a more professional comment in a place like Perry’s. As for being a top romantic dinner spot, that is a great description if you think romantic is a sausage fest of ROI and SLA conversation. Can’t fault Perry’s for that. Food was excellent. Highly recommend the wedge salad, Brussels Sprouts, pork chop, and ribeye. All things considered, I’d probably return with lesser expectations for service because the food was that good.

Fantastic dining experience

By Conrad R |

I live in Oklahoma City, OK, My daughter, who has been to Perry's several times, took me there for the Friday lunch, (note, they are only open for lunch on Friday) . We ordered the $19 pork chop special and I was amazed at what we were served. The porkchop was fantastic and for me, two take home meals. My daughter ordered a take out pork chop dinner for her husband. Everything about this place was impeccable. The attention of the knowledgeable staff was excellent. Reservations are recommended.

Meh

Was a bit underwhelmed. Wait staff was good, but food was average at best...not what you expect for $$$$.

Great Jazzy Steakhouse

By RonnyC2723 |

This is an exciting and gorgeous steakhouse overlooking one of the most beautiful views of downtown Dallas. Cool jazz, performed live, adds to a wonderfully romantic experience. Servers are gracious, efficient and personable without being intrusive. Crabcakes are fantastic. Steaks and lobster are the best in Dallas. Social distancing practiced efficiently.

Horrible experience!

By Doreatha P |

Made reservations before Thanksgiving for Christmas Eve. It was for 8 people.Time was 7:45 pm/ Arrived at 7:30. DId not get seated until 8:15 pm. There was another couple with a older lady in a Wheelchair that had a medical issue and needed food. They had made a reservation a year in advance. The husband told the front desk and they did not respond. I felt so sorry for this couple. When we got seated they told us it would be an hour to get our food! We ordered immediately! 3 hours later and still no food. They just kept bringing bread. This was Christmas Eve 2021! Good grief! We told the waiter we were leaving. The manager came to the table and told us there was nothing she could do! How about not overbook? How about Get more people in the kitchen. How about look at your numbers from the year before and get the steaks on the grill because you know you are going to have people to eat them? How about firing the Manager? There was no compensation. We walked out and will never to be back! NO one got any Christmas Eve Dinner. Went home hungry. Had two teenage boys that were starving in the group. I wonder what corporate has to say about this.

Great restaurant

By hector e |

Delicious......pork chops are amazing but enough for sharing.....nice place very recommended.....service is outstanding

Well prepared food

By PetterLundgren |

Being a foodie I expect a lot when you come to the most expensive steakhouses. The service was good, not excellent, swift and speedy. The restaurant was full but they managed the pressure well. The steaks was good but not as good as expected for the price. Very good wine selection.

Excellent food and service

By 860SusanB860 |

My husband and I just dined at Perry's again and had another wonderful meal. The service, ambiance, and food were all spot-on. We dined there for the 4 for $44 special and that was a great deal! We were seated in the cellar and it was very cozy and quiet. Our server was attentive and friendly. We ordered some great wine for starters. The Polish Sausage and Fried Asparagus appetizers were both great starters. The Kale Salad and Caesar Salad were both fresh and tasty. The signature Pork Chop (unbelievable!) and the Chicken Oscar were both excellent entree choices. The Trio Dessert platter paled in comparison to the Nutty D'Angelo dessert - it was awesome. We had a great meal for a very reasonable price and had enough leftovers for another nice meal at home. Love it!

Terrible customer service

By Chandler B |

I booked a reservation for Valentine’s Day on Open Table and someone from the restaurant called me to confirm. (This was a little irritating since the whole point of that app is to not have to call and speak to someone.) When I called back the guy insisted that my table wouldn’t be saved unless I gave them my credit card information over the phon. I asked why I couldn’t just pay at the restaurant like every other day and he proceeded to tell me how it would make it easier for the restaurant since they were going to be serving over 300 people that night. He said the servers would have an easier time not having to drop off and pick up checks at the tables. It couldn’t have made me feel any less valued as a customer and like they were planning on pushing people through like cattle. This is also terrible since it was a set menu at $75/ person. If you’re going for Valentine’s Day, or any other holiday, you may want to find a place that makes your event feel a little more special.

Subpar service

By Kamitravel |

The food was good but service lagged way behind . This was a special event for us. I called and talked to them on phone . Asked them to bring the cheesecake with a candle after dinner for a surprise birthday cake . The message was not relayed to the server and he was clueless . The whole surprise blew up ! Even at the table he said the cheesecake isn’t free for birthday and I had to tell him, it’s okay . Just put a candle next to it and bring it . It’s a special event restaurant and perfection is expected . But service was subpar. They acted amateur and I would look elsewhere for a special event.

OMWhoa!

By KenandMaxine B |

Like surf and turf? I recommend the Symphony Kabob—beef tenderloin, lobster, and shrimp served with grilled asparagus. Delish! We also tried several starters and dessert—you cannot go wrong. The bartenders proved to be skillful, and we were perfectly satisfied with the wine choices. Service is on point, and the atmosphere is lovely. Perry’s offers a wonderful dining experience!

average steakhouse with a kind of 'back in the day' decor

By stiltz364 |

You can get better beef at other steakhouses in Dallsa; my bone in New York was tough and tasteless; the baked potato very small; the caesar salad terrible, and the desserts overpriced. But the worst was the service; we were all very hungry but the waiter persisted in his 'ritual', which involved coming back to the table three times before taking our order. Further throughout the evening he was curt, disrespectful and spoiled the meal for me. This place needs to tell its waiters to treat the customers with respect. For around $100 per person, there are far better steakhouses in Dallas.

Wonderful Steakhouse, Outstanding for private groups

By Kim H |

Perry's is always a great option for a wonderful dinner for two. But, if you need a fantastic location for a group you should consider the cellar room at Perry's. Perfect location for a private party! You can mingle, enjoy the fantastic options on the menu and you are removed just enough from the restaurant to feel like you have the resturant to yourself!

Upscale Fine Dining Great Service

By Rivercliff.com |

The best pork I have ever had. Specials for Friday and Sunday check it out. Intimate atmosphere great service food was excellent. We enjoyed a Valentines dinner that was superb but a great place to go for couples and small groups and be quiet enough to share conversations instead of extremely loud music. Service was attentive but not overbearing.

Nice steak.

By WorldTraveler422 |

The service in the dining room was excellent. Some live music drifted in from the bar. The view was of other diners and also of a wine cellar behind a wall of glass. A carafe of water was provided and water glasses were kept filled. Enjoyed a Manhattan with three Luxardo cherries. Warm bread was brought with whipped butter, and although the crust was tasty, the bread itself seemed somehow lacking in flavor, causing me to wonder whether it might have been slightly underbaked. Started with a Caesar salad, and requested light on the dressing, which it was. The romaine was in bite size pieces rather than whole leaf, and not as crispy as I would have liked. The salad included anchovies; a server appeared and offered either fine or coarsely ground pepper. The salad was ample and tasty. A thick, 8-oz bacon-wrapped filet mignon arrived. I ordered it medium rare and did not want it cooked beyond that. A server immediately appeared and suggested I cut it open in the center to see whether it was cooked to my liking. It was definitely red throughout a very large portion of the center, but not so red as to be sent back for further cooking. Except for a portion that seemed to have received more than its share of seasoning, the filet was tender and delicious. For dessert, I very much enjoyed the surprisingly light praline cheesecake, but the vanilla bean creme brulee as well as the chocolate crunch seemed too sweet, but flavorful.

From a local on Saturday night July 27th, never again

By FarAway36839460387 |

"If you don't have anything nice to say".......................well uh, uh, umm, at least the Tempranillo was decent.

Not everyone wants loud live music blaring all night

By Ray C |

My usual criteria of Locale, atmosphere, service and finally food were average on this particular occasion. The layout of the tables always has you expecting someone to spill something or bump into you. The narrow corridor from front to back means one way traffic with others waiting their turn to move. That coupled with the loud live piano music and a singer who was a little too loud and slightly off key made for strained conversation. The food was good but nothing extra ordinary for the price point. Between the five of us we sampled pretty much everything from fish to lamb to steak to pasta. As stated it was all good but nothing special. Service was attentive. I guess if you want a loud lively atmosphere especially on the weekend this will work but for a relaxed dinner with a quiet conversation, look elsewhere.

Great Evening

By Joe Crawford |

Excellent experience! Great ambience with background singer. Great steaks and sides. Wine was good. Great booth location. Best of all Alan was an outstanding waiter. Very attentive as was all the staff. Would highly recommend.

Best Customer Service Ever

By Travelingmansince84 |

I recently scheduled a large group event for Perry’s in Dallas. Unfortunately the weather turned into a terrible mess and the restaurant decided to close early for the safety of the employees. Paige Merideth, the sales manager could have just said it is what it is. However, she made multiple calls to other restaurants to help me secure an alternative venue for my group. That is customer service! It reminds me of the John Nordstrom story. Paige exemplifies the best of the best and made me want to return to Perry’s again and again.

EXCELLENT place for small or large groups

By Jon M |

I heard about the pork chops here - legendary from what I was told... So I tried. When they brought out the plate before it was sliced I just figured it was for multiple people - nope all mine... My days of stuffing myself are gone, but I truly did enjoy eating some of it. The outside was crispy and smoked just right. Inside tender and juicy. We had a private party in the wine cellar room. Service was excellent. I saw some filets served and they looked amazing. Appetizers we had were Beef Carpaccio, deep fried asparagus, broccoli, tuna tar-tar... all excellent. Dessert sampler was incredible especially the creme brûlée. This is definitely a high end restaurant and I dont think you can go wrong here. Loved it!

Won't Return!

By Regina |

This place has really gone down, from the food, to the ambiance, to the service. My family was here for Mother's Day, floor was sticky/dirty, steak was dry, and had a lot of fat around it, vegetables just ok nothing to brag about, ambiance wasn't good. We had to sit in the bar area because they told us the main dining room was booked, however when I went to the bathroom, I saw plenty of empty tables. The clientele also has really gone down here as well. This place use to be five stars, not anymore. Don't go here. Try Bob's Steakhouse it is way better.

Pork Chop was Amazing but don’t go Sunday Nights

By ellaw54 |

I went with four friends and 2 of the 4 had to re-order with the waiter as they were out of the steak they wanted. One had 2 separate steaks as he liked the cut. Special was a out as well.....

Not so Valentine’s!

By Liz Pepper |

I celebrated valentine’s here at Perry’s and it was not such a good night. First of all we had a reservation but it didn’t matter cause they made us wait por our table around 15 min, even though there where empty tables at the bar. We waited inside the bar, que ordered drinks, but they took too long. When I asked the hostess she told me she was waiting for a table in the restaurant so I told her I didn’t care if the table was in the bar. So they assigned me table in the bar. It took around 15 min more to get a waiter to give us the menu!!! No one gave us water, not even the wine and forget about our drinks we ordered at the bar. Finally someone took our order, we asked her for our drinks and she claimed that the bar was separately, I mean really?! Anyway, finally we had dinner, it was ok. Good onion soup, great pork chop (but it’s too big), Caesar’s salad was ok but to many anchovies. I had the desert trio, and the chocolate crunch was good, the créeme brûlée was ok and I didn’t like the cheesecake.

Layover

By NJ Family |

Had a leftover and asked for a restaurant suggestion. So grateful for the recommendation. Food was outstanding. Get the BBQ shrimp for apps. The ceasar salad with homemade dressing. Texas wagu is worth the price. Brussels and fries for sides. TK is best waitress!

All good..except for the rib eye

By restoresoundmoney |

This is a lovely restaurant! Atmosphere excellent--lower level, upper level, dining room off the main room (where we sat) allows for conversation while still hearing music. Four of us went on a Saturday night. Drinks were outstanding. They offer non-alcoholic options, and I had the pineapple ginger ale (?) that was delicious; had two. Fried asparagus outstanding. Appreciated three options for filet mignon--10 oz, 8 oz, and 6. My friend and I had the 6 oz; she described hers as "heavenly". I had to take a star off the review for the boneless rib eye my husband had. We understand that the rib eye has fat, ideally marbled throughout. The cut my husband got, unfortunately, had a significant area of just fat, inedible and so sizable that he had to cut it away from the rest of the cut. It was clearly visible to all of us. He said that the rest of the rib eye was very good and done to his taste, but that was a little off-putting. When he shared that with our server, she explained that the rib eye does have fat throughout--that's how it is. My husband understands this--he is a member of Escoffier and the ACF--but he wanted to alert the server that the cut itself should not have made its way to the plate due to the BLOB of fat. Otherwise, service good, although the second round of drinks was slow to arrive due to a large party being celebrated on the second level. Think that slowed the bar down big time. Would return and do recommend.

Yum!

By Lauri F |

Fantastic meal of perfectly cooked NY strip over a bacon slab with sides of grilled asparagus and broccoli. Fantastic service from Jose in the pleasingly dark restaurant. Cheap fast valet. Will definitely visit again when I return to Dallas!

Nice place in Dallas

By jri995 |

During the first night of a business trip, came to the restaurant without reservations and they were very nice in accommodating us. We sat at the bar. Very modern and upscale. Drinks were great, wine selection was good. Steak was extremely good. Would most definitely recommend this fine restaurant for anyone going to Dallas. Unlike us, please DO make a reservation. It will make your visit even more enjoyable.

There is no shortage of great food and service at Perry’s

By Let’s eat |

From the minute walking in the door to the final thank you the Perry’s Team was on their A game. We arrived a few minutes early and in a full restaurant our table was ready overlooking the park on second floor. Emily our server was prompt to the table, took drink orders and within minutes delivering. Classic cocktails, crab cakes spot on and that bread. Steak prepared exactly as ordered along with the fluffiest mashed potatoes and corn brûlée tangy and sweet. A big thank you to manager Nick and all the Team, we will be back and I hope soon

Pork Chop Friday!

By Mishmash0718 |

We took my boss for his birthday on pork chop Friday and everyone loved it. The food was amazing. The waitstaff were awesome. And the ambiance was perfect. Everyone had a great time and a great meal. And the pork chop Friday lunch is a great value!!

Anniversary Dinner

By Justin H |

My fiance and I wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. Let me tell you, the service is impeccable. Our server, JR, was hands down the best. We had cocktails that were extremely flavorful, the calamari was DELICIOUS, and the Pork Chop was the best I've ever tasted. I've never had such attentive service of the like anywhere else.

GREAT STEAKS IN UPTOWN DALLAS

* Large steak and grill restaurant * Reservation recommended * Staff is very friendly but service is a little slow * Restaurant is famous for 'huge' pork chops but I did not eat

Outstanding in Every Respect - Wonderful Steak and Seafood!

By LuckyJEDI |

We were staying nearby at the Ritz Carlton - and were looking for a great meal to end a long travel day from the west coast. We really like Del Frisco's and Morton's - but came across Perry's on OpenTable when working reservations. Decided to give it a try, and could not have been happier. Outstanding meal, in a beautiful setting - complete with live music! Best part for us - they had a WONDERFUL children's menu! Most high-end steak houses do not have a kids menu, so we were pleasantly surprised. By all accounts, our daughter's chicken tenders were amazing! :-) My wife opted for a wonderful filet, I went with lobster risotto - but were incredible. The salads were fresh and beautifully presented, and the service was absolutely top-notch. Alexander was our server, kudos for keeping those wine glasses full! Highly recommend. Oh yes, the piano player was terrific!

Awesome meals

By DJLaSha |

My sister chose this location to celebrate her birthday and we needed a room for a small group of people. The room was set up elegantly and well staffed the food was great and I would suggest the glazed pork chop.

Great choice in Dallas

By Janet J |

I was attending a conference in Dallas and randomly chose Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille for dinner and wow what a good choice! Sampled delicious bread while I had a pineapple mojito. My husband ordered the pork chop. It was carved at the table, ribs, loin and the marbled portion they call eyelash. It was huge, moist and all three cuts were delicious. Restaurant sources their pork from Iowa. Sides are Ala carte; loaded whipped potatoes served both of us and gave us leftovers. I had hot spinach salad and extremely flavorful pan seared scallops. Although we had a bag of leftovers, we still had to sample the bananas foster, flamed at the table- heavenly! Prices are expensive but not outrageous. Make reservations.

Good steaks but some service issues

By DrMikeinNJ |

Went to Perry’s last minute on a whim with some friends while we were at a conference in Dallas. Landed a reservation same day at an outdoor table. Plenty of heaters outside in case it was cold but it was a good 65 degrees so we were fine. Parking is available in the garage next door. After checking in we were seated in a few minutes. Our server Introduced himself and took us through the menu and gave us his suggestions. We ordered martinis which he had to ask us a few times to repeat. Grey goose up with olives…. Not sure what was so challenging about that. We ordered the ceasar— was good but a bit too thick on the dressing, too many croutons and too garlicky. I prefer a lighter dressing. Sides were okay— their “truffle fries” were large steak fries which I thought were just okay. Would prefer more traditional thin cut fries. Two of us had to send our steaks back. One because the medium rare was over cooked to well-done, and the other because while we ordered the “prime NY Strip” they brought us a prime ribeye. Within 5 minutes the proper steaks were brought. They were cooked perfectly the second time around. There was some sort of butter/blue cheese topping, which I enjoyed but I’d imagine some may be turned off by it. In the end we were happy we went. Would def try again.

Anniversary

By kevntiff1999 |

My husband and I shared lobster bisque, wedge salad, bacon wrapped scallops, ribeye and roasted cream corn all of which was very good but the best part was our waiter James. He made the first time Perry’s experience special with his exceptional service! He treated us with rose petals and dessert for our anniversary. We will be sure to ask for him again next time!!

You have to have the pork chop even if this is a steakhouse!

By Judy S |

The pork chop was divine! Tender, flavorful, HUGE, and cooked to perfection. There were 4 of us at the restaurant and we all shared the sides - creamed spinach, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, salad. It was fantastic! Great service made for a wonderful evening.

Its All About The Porkchop!!!

By Scott Griest |

Attended a business dinner Order the Pork Chop, forget the Steak!!!! Review for a business dinner for four on a Wednesday night. Great restaurant to entertain clients, discuss a business deal, catch up with colleagues. Service was excellent, extensive wine list and full bar of spirits from normal to some higher end bottles. Appetizers were good but not out of this world, we ordered the fried asparagus, calamari and seafood stuffed mushrooms (would skip the mushrooms). Half the party got steaks (all great and nicely done) and the other half got the signature pork chop which is incredible ($42), hence the 5 star rating. One of the best pieces of pork I've ever had and a huge portion that can easily be shared between two persons.

Good, but not great. There are better Steakhouses if you really want Steak

By Scott Charles |

Its not a bad place, good service and decent food. The steaks aren't as flavorful as the top steakhouses; Del Frisco's, Bob's, Three Forks, and Al Biernet. Its on par with Nick and Sam's before the quality dropped. The feel is very much traditional steakhouse with a good romantic vibe. If you are taking a date there, it will go well. If you are wanting to eat a good steak go elsewhere.

One of the best meals I've ever had

By Keith M |

A group of four coworkers tried this place after a long day at a conference. We started with the 3 mini-martinis which were really tasty. We each ordered steaks, plus the spinach and brussel sprouts as sides. Quite honestly, everything was excellent. Steak just melted in my mouth. Perfectly seasoned. My only complain might be the price. But, hey, you get what you pay for.

Perfekt Steak and special pork chop

By AnBerni |

We visited Parry’s Steakhouse for the first time, our friend has known it. I do have to admit it is wonderful there. First we met at the bar for a pre-dinner drink, awesome location and lot of fun. Then we went to our table for dinner. We were told that the pork chop is the speciality of the house - unbelievable how tasty and tender it was, as this portion is not a small one we decided to order one for the table (family style). Perfectly cooked and the crust was amazing - more than to recommend. We had also a steak which was also very very tender and good. The service was good and we enjoyed our time at this place. Good job guys and I will come next time again.

Excellent filter mignon as well as seafood

By Matt B |

Came here for a business dinner. Had the bacon wrapped filet mignon topped with shrimp. Excellent! Also enjoyed the asparagus as a side. The servers were friendly. I was slightly disappointed with the craft beer selection, though they made an excellent gin and tonic.

Mother’s Day delicious dinner!!

By Trishasalazar |

What a fabulous & delicious Mother’s Day we had at Perry’s on Sunday!! The food, wine & service was exceptional!! That lemon baked Alaskan was AMAZING!!! The snapper was cooked to perfection!! Thank you so much, Alex & Victor for making our night unforgettable!! Counting the days until another visit!!

Just not what we expected

By Sylvia R |

I have to agree with another member....you can get a steak anywhere in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. There was nothing special about this one. In fact, the potatoes, asparagus and even the bread were blahzay. The calamari was bizarre and the Ahi tuna tartare was dry. The Caesar salad had so much garlic, it made wine taste terrible. Service was very slow for a Tuesday night. The pork chop that was supposed to be great was only good and somewhat greasy. The water tasted like algae. Other than the nice decor, it just wasn't that great of a steakhouse. I'm sorry to report, but others like Silver Fox or Bob's are far more superior. I don't think we will be back. It is also too noisy for conversation.

Nice location. Steaks average for steakhouse. Cool vibe lounge

By Robert P N |

I liked the location. Across the street from Ritz. The lounge vibe was nice. But a little loud. We had dinner in the table area. There is a lot of competition for steakhouses so this is average. The waiter also rushed us along. So i was a little anxious a few times that he would take away our food or drink before we were done. I would not return and would try somewhere else the next time. Follow us. @nickellfamilytravel

Overdone and not returning

By Eve |

Let me start with the fact that this was a half prepaid dinner for my wedding night that we took 15 of our friends and family to with a SPECIFIC dinner menu that was all planned prior to our arrival. First we dont get the correct menus, and have to wait 15 minutes for the corrected ones to be printed. Also we ordered drinks and our waiter was either high or just not paying attention as he too forgot to put in the drink order after 30 minutes we finally get them and he proceeds to bring the wrong drinks to several patrons of mine. A couple dint complain but its still embarrassing. THEN All of our orders were wrong, over cooked or under done. One manager attempted to fix my sisters food, yet it was still served wrong 3 times!! She did not complain the third time as was already annoyed about how long it took to receive her food in the first place. I find it ironic that this is 4 star steak house... Upon paying they screwed up the whole check, we were over charged for multiple items and then told we were required to tip the 20% when we had horrible service. This is where i was pissed but I wasn't going to make scene, that woulnt' be very classy. Unfortunatley we paid and left. The desserts were sub par. The view was great! Will never return.

Delicious Friday Lunch Special

By SB S |

Friendly and attentive staff. Pork Chop lunch special was very good. Substitutions for mashed potatoes varied so you can get vegetable sides. The pork chop (two bone) like a small roast was excellent. Service was good in a nice surroundings. Reserved in advance, full house and very busy. Valet parking attendants numerous and moving lots of vehicles were efficient. All around a good afternoon with friends.

Top Notch

By WNYbonnie |

A very educated wait staff drives the experience. You are well taken care of and educated on the history and evolution of their restaurant. A high end location no doubt but the service and the food matched up!

Pork chop is excellent

By Jschaf |

We came for the pork chop which didn’t disappoint. It was excellent. The other accoutrements were somewhat disappointing. The bbq calamari was cooked well but was over spiced and without any nuance. The ceasar salad and the wedge salad were average. It was a good meal but did not rise to the level of a top steakhouse, mostly because there is lack of attention to all aspects of the meal.

A Highly Disappointing Experience.

We visited the Perry’s at 2100 Olive Street in Dallas, TX on Friday 2/2/24. We were there to celebrate the birthdays of my wife and a close friend. We had reservations for a party of 6 for 7:30pm. We arrived about 10 minutes early but were promptly seated at 7:30 (table #42/1). Our waiter arrived about 5 minutes later and ask for our drink order, my wife and 2 others in our party ordered the mini martini flight. But the waiter said it was not avaible tonight. This seemed odd since full sized martinis were available. So, my wife and friends ordered regular martini’s. My other friend ordered an old fashioned, and I ordered a scotch based mixed drink. When I placed my order, I asked our waiter (Juan) if the drink was sweet because I do not prefer sweet drinks. He assured me it was not sweet. When our drinks arrived my friend’s old fashioned tasted like coffee, and my drink was very sweet. We requested to send our drinks back, to be replaced with a whiskey neat and gin martini. It took about 20 minutes for the waiter to return with our new drink order and remove the drinks we sent back from our table. We then ordered appetizers, my wife and her friends each ordered lobster bisque and another member of our party ordered the scallops. When the lobster bisque arrived, it tasted like barbeque soup. Easily making it the worst lobster bisque any of the members of our party had ever tasted. My friend that ordered the scallops did not receive his ordered. When our waiter returned about 10 minutes later to check on us, we told him the scallops had not arrived. He claimed he thought they were already brought out and my friend had finished and the plate had been taken away. He apologized and said the kitchen was having issues and he would put in another order. Our entrees and sides arrived a few minutes later. This sides were delivered without any serving spoons and the lamb chops my wife ordered were very salty. We requested a new order of lamb chops and the waiter offered to get his manger since we were having so many issues with dinner. The manager arrived and we told him about the issues. We brought up the lobster bisque and he admitted the kitchen had made a mistake because he had tasted it himself and asked that they make a new batch. He offered to bring replacements and apologized. We also requested serving spoons for the side orders. My friends’ scallops arrived about 5 minutes after the entrees, and we still had no spoons for the sides. Finally, the manager brought over 1 soup spoon for the sides. We requested another for our other side dish but that did not arrive until we had almost finished our entrees. We requested the side dishes be removed from our bill because they were now cold because we had no spoons. Another manager came by and said he would remove the sides, bisques, and scallops from the bill and offered to do anything he could to make our dining experience better. He never returned to our table and after we had finished our entrees the waiter came back with the adjusted bill. We were not even offered desert which is not the norm for restaurant’s the caliber of Perry’s, especially given the fact we were there to celebrate the birthday of two members of our party. To add insult to injury they included a tip amount on our bill because we were a party of 6 or more. The tip was $160, which is way out of line given the level of service we received. This was highly disappointing experience. All members of our party have been to other Perry’s locations multiple times and have always enjoyed our experience. I believe this experience was so poor due to the lack of experience or attention to detail from our waiter and some kitchen issues. I definitely will not be visiting this location again and may never visit another Perry’s again.

Overcooked

By Steven A |

For the amount of money that they charge for a steak they should be able to cook it to perfection. I paid $59 for a steak, I ordered it medium rare it came out medium well. It wasn't just my sake that wasn't cooked them properly, my colleagues steak was cooked in properly too. Two out of three steaks were not cooked properly. The server never came over to the table to ask us her food was until I was done eating it. I didn't want to be bothered with returning it because it took long enough to receive it. I may have returned it if the server came back in a timely manner to check on how we felt our food was. He was a nice server, he was professional, he certainly focused on up selling, he just didn't come back to check on us in a timely manner. It was an overall disappointment.

Elegant fine dining in downtown Dallas

By BigJon55 |

Came here for a meeting and enjoyed the Caesar salad with whole anchovies on top. The steak and sides were also good. The service and atmosphere were the highlights. They have private rooms for hosting meetings but also seems like a good place for visiting with friends.

Great Food Not So Great Service

By Patrice N |

I dined by myself at Perry's this past weekend. I am newer to the Dallas area and like to explore the area by trying new places. While the food at Perry was amazing the service was far from that. My waitress continued to point out the price of everything and at first I thought she was just being transparent but as it continued it almost seemed as though the assumption I couldn't afford to be there was being made. It was extremely annoying but I didn't want it to impact my meal. At the end of the meal when I received my check I noticed that I had been overcharged for meal which was even more infuriating since I was constantly being made aware of the prices of the menu items. As I mentioned, the food at Perry's was outstanding. I had a bacon wrapped filet and a truffle butter crab leg. I enjoyed every moment of my meal. I would consider going back but I hate to be treated I can't afford my meal and then in a very sneaky manner be charged the wrong prices for my items. I would recommend Perry's for their amazing food but if you're a young woman dining on your own keep your money because the staff will treat less than everyone else. It's extremely unfortunate the service was so bad because I was really looking forward to trying the fried asparagus.

Business Dinner

By Marion S |

We were a large group of 16 people for Dinner. We had drinks first and the wine list ranges from 60-over 100 a bottle and had a good variety of wines. We started off with Cherry pepper Calamari and pime Been Carpacciao both were excellent. I had the Filet PPerry. 6 oz is cut like butter and had fantastic flabor from te applwood smoked bacon. We did have two vegetarians in our group who selected the spaghetti squash primavera. they indicated is was OK. For Sides they are served family style which is great to be able to share. We had the Creamed spinach, sweet Sriracha Brussel sprouts and Roasted Creamed corn this was my personal favorite!

Veteran's Day dinner

By IIsaac |

Celebrating Veteran's Day and my father, being a veteran of the Korean War, we dined at Perry's, taking advantage of the Veteran's eat for free, their 3-course famous 2-lb pork chop dinner. The service was excellent, as was the food. The Chop cannot be beat, as it is by far the best around. At 2 lbs, I've yet to see anyone finish if off, which makes for a great lunch the following day. The lobster mac & cheese is wonderful and creamy. And the roasted cream corn is sweet, with just enough spice. And their salads are all great.

Great service, fantastic food

By Jim G |

I was in Dallas for work on December 11. Perry's was recommended to us by our driver. I had the Lobster Bisque and and a great warm spinach and bacon salad. Our waiter was friendly and very engaging. I also had a nice visit with him about the wine. I look forward to going back the next time I'm in town. A classy place.

First time

By Scott R |

Never again, I was so very disappointed. I was charged double for an item that they apparently misquoted and they made no effort to correct their mistake. I'm fine with mistakes, but I shouldn't have to pay for it. Never ever will I go back.

Terrible food and service.

By MICHAEL D |

Avoid this location. Terrible service and food quality, very unusual for a Perry's. We were in town for a show and thought let's eat at Perry's....better $$ spent at McDonald's. Ordered from the bar, pork chop bites were tough and scallops were chewy. Tried to let bar staff know but they were too busy and ignored us. Hope the minimal tip hit home. I don't think this is typical of Perry's just this location. Just avoid and save your $$$

The food is overpriced for the quality

By Bob H |

We had a holiday party for six on Tuesday 12/29/20. The Shrimp cocktail was excellent. The beef tartar was very flavorful. The bread tasted frozen and undercooked. The steaks were not very poor quality. The bone in NY strip was 1/3 grizzle. I almost choked twice.I was only able to eat 1/3 of this $50 plus steak. My wife's steak was overcooked. The view of the Dallas skyline after dark was amazing.

So good!!!!

By NWWCBP |

The food is amazing! And so is staff! I really enjoyed the look and feel of Perry's as well. Had the filet and chocolate cake. Yummo!

Delicious

By EPF15 |

I ate here recently with two colleagues on a weeknight. Promptly greeted and seated in the main dining room near the wine cellar. Service was great, friendly and very attentive. Our entrees (porkchop, filet & ribeye) all came out perfectly cooked and with excellent flavor. Also enjoyed some macaroni and cheese along with the brussel sprouts which were on point. Overall a great experience with delicious food and a wonderful service team. Will be back.

Sublime

By Stacey L |

Besides open table or Perry’s losing our reservation, the experience was sublime. They made sure we had a table for two right away. Wagyu was wonderful. Only topped by the Nobu wagyu in Las Vegas. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Did an excellent job recommending dishes with the wine we had chosen. We will definitely be back when we are in town again.

Amazing service, views, and food at Perry's

By mrs_un0 |

Had an incredible dinner at Perry's. From the minute I walked in the service was outstanding. From their amazing martinis to the food, Perry's will not disappoint.

Best steak ever

By Kathy S |

and the view is awesome at night! Outstanding service at the bar and tableside. You will not be disappointed.

Very nice. Very good

By Smel N. Goot |

Good food, nice place, nice staff. Restrooms have TVs in mirrors above urinals😏. Good side dishes, macaroni better than add steaks! Desserts average. Expensive. Cool group dining room.

Wonderful

First timer was on route to another steakhouse when driver gave his review & since for a special night out for nieces gave it a try. Waited for about 7 minutes when there were several tables open (only a party of 4) but think they were having employment issues. Waiter seemed nervous but ok job. A little irritating when we were one of 3 last tables in there/ his only table but instead of dealing with refills, dessert order, paying ticket right away he was trying to multitasking & finish his end of night duties. Went in for steak but oh so happy ordered the signature pork chop instead. Very sad though she back at hotel realized waiter not only failed to add the extra sauce I asked for he left it all out. Cesar salad, not too good. But cheesecake definitely a must get

Well prepared food

By PetterLundgren |

Being a foodie I expect a lot when you come to the most expensive steakhouses. The service was good, not excellent, swift and speedy. The restaurant was full but they managed the pressure well. The steaks was good bun not as good as expected for the price. Very good wine selection.

Crowded, overwhelmed staff and overrated overpriced food.

By rover_733 |

They managed to ruin our milestone anniversary - Not only did they keep us waiting for a table (despite a reservation) but also put us in a crowded space with absolutely no privacy. I literally had people siting 2 feet away from me. they did not remember our anniversary - did nothing special. The redfish I ordered (big mistake) was terrible - smothered in sauce and unseasoned. My wife's steak was good. Overall a very disappointing experience - would never make the mistake of going back here.

Pork and Linen

By Ebony W |

Visited for lunch and was served a humongous PORK chop. Although I'm not a huge fan I decided to give it a try and wow!! Two people could easily share. Portion size was for someone with a large appetite. The restaurants ambiance was very elegant. Dim lighting and soft music. Will visit again the next time I travel thru Dallas.

Fantastic filet

By Britt C |

We all had filets that were excellent! Great service too. We were catching up with friends we haven't seen in 5 years and were given plenty of time to catch up and not feel rushed to order. The chocolate dessert with brittle on top was amazing1

Perry's Party

By Delta D |

Visited for a birthday dinner. I loved it. My server Juan was so dramatic and I love love loved him. Everything that I tasted was delicious! The ambiance was beautiful and the fire outside was so inviting.

Not so Happy Hour

By culehmann |

We walked over to Perry's when it was still time for Happy Hour and asked to be seated outside (none of the staff were wearing masks). We requested the happy hour menu and ordered drinks and two items (crab cake and steak tartare). We then had the Chargrilled Salmon Served with lemon dill butter and cauliflower mousse. While the food was good (the crab cake was outstanding), when the bill came, none of the price reductions (2 dollars off each for drinks and food items) from the happy hour menu were applied. I didn't feel like arguing with the waitress (we live next door and this is often a fallback for us) but I didn't appreciate it.

Wedding Reception

By Alejandra L |

Wow! The food was great and the cocktails scrumptious! Alas, disappointed the wedding luncheon didn't go as pre-planned; the event room noted in the invitation for us, as the guests, became unavailable the day before due to an  " A/C problem", incorrect drinks were being offered for the cocktail hour and the wines picked by the groom on the meal card weren't offered (my table surely didn't get any, lol) and it was very cold! I'd say failed communication problem from within: event planner to banquet captain/servers assigned. The Bride and Groom smiled and carried on the best they could (you could see it on their faces). I look forward to experiencing the greatness of Perry's everyone keeps bragging about BUT it wasn't that day!

PORK CHOP!!!!!

By tt7478 |

Oh my. I struggle not getting a steak from a steak house but I always ask what the specialty is and was told without a doubt the chop. So that’s what I went with and was so glad I did. It was by far the best and most pork I’ve had in one sitting. You have to try it and plan on taking some home with you.

Bang !!! ... Fizzzzzzz

By David |

We went for Dallas Restaurant Week- six in our party. We had 7:30 reservations, got there early, and had a nice drink in the bar area to a fine pianist with vocals. Service was a bit slow, but we had time. Took our seats at 7:30. Shown the table, not the seats, and it was a short while. Water brought in maybe 5 minutes. Food orders taken before drink orders. This is a Thursday night--- not crowded. Salads came - decent. Water was filled periodically. Drinks NEVER were !!! Well, once upon our summoning the waiter during the 35 minute interim between picking up our entre' plates and delivering the standard single dessert. Little filet's were good, although not cooked to ordered temperature. Dessert was ok. Service was slower... and slower. We had salad, dinner and dessert in just over 2.5 hours. Did like the ambiance, except that the place smelled a LOT like smoke. I get the "smokey" thing, but it was a bit over the top. They are rumored to be moving, but a change of location isn't likely to change their ability to render proper service and attention to their customers. I doubt we'll bother to find out.

Pre-Crossroads Dinner

By RNMIII |

Everything was excellent. The ambiance, service, food, drinks and the live music, all great. We sat at the bar and the bartender gave us the history of Perry's and made some very good recommendations. I highly recommend the Pork Chop Bites and the Bone-in Cowboy Ribeye.

Not amazing but I’m going back to try the Porkchop

By BigJon55 |

I eat a lot of steak and Perry’s filet was not particularly memorable but the porkchop ordered by the guy across the table definitely caught my attention. I can only describe how good it looked, large enough to fill the plate. I will need to return to give it a try. The Caesar salad was very good. Sides were average. The service was a little slow so I had to leave before dessert.

Great steakhouse

By coonrapidsduo |

We sat at a table on the edge of the bar near the outdoor patio and our server was Kady who was very sweet and very efficient. My husband had the Friday lunch pork chop special with whipped mashed potatoes. I had the small filet mignon with mashed potatoes and large cut vegetables. We also had a couple cocktails. Everything was delicious.

Awesome Food & Service!!!

By HTexas214 |

My husband and I was in town yesterday for a UFC fight and had dinner at Perry’s Steakhouse downtown Dallas. Walking distance from Our hotel Ritz Carlton. Our first time dining at this Parrys location and the food & service was excellent...l had the grilled shrimp and asparagus and my husband always gets the Famous Porkchop! JR was our waiter. He was great!

The porkchop

By ncsccrdad |

First of all the Porkchop is not really a pork chop.. It is a pork medley and Delicious! There appeared to be actually three different cuts of meat year and they’re all wonderful. The size of the portion is almost overwhelming but if your local Plenty to take home. The rib portion of the medley literally felt as if it melted in your mouth. I would be hard Pressed not to order this again. The broccoli side was good. The music in the bar was a little too loud to easily enjoy conversation. Be fore warned this place is going to be tough on your wallet.

I've ordered a few times for take out but this may have been my last

By AppleStud |

Yes it was Thanksgiving but I literally was stuck in my car in line waiting to get to the "front" and get my food. It was 1 hour and 8 minutes before someone approached me and said they thought my food was ready. No apology? No handing out gift cards since it was worse than a screw up? Thanksgiving dinner was excellent but the bread wasn't in the bag. My martini to go was luke cool at best since it had been waiting so long.

Awesome steak and pork chops

By BrooklyniteLA |

Awesome steak, pork chops and they happened to have live music the Tue night we were there. We ordered the filet minion and the cowboy ribeye and both were delicious.

Meh

By X1276MHbobb |

Mixed feelings on Perry’s. Check in was about as cold as it gets. Guy with the beard checking people couldn’t be bothered to even make eye contact with us. He just stared away at his computer screen. The hostesses then took us (party of 3) to a large table that was set for 6 people. What? Seemed odd and just weird. Asked to be seated at a smaller table. She went back to the bearded gentlemen who seemed irritated at having to reseat it to a table that matched our party size. Food was solid, but certainly nothing worthy of its extremely high ranking on trip advisor. Drinks took a long time. When they did come there was a bug of some sort in one of them. It was immediately replaced. Not impressed.

Trash

By Sonya P |

I was VERY disappointed in the food on this second visit. The $100 steak that I ordered was definately a waste on my money. It was definately not the cut that I asked for. It tasted and looked nothing like the first time I had ordered it. It was tough and not well seasoned. The brussell sprouts were better this visit only because I came in requesting that it taste something close to the description on the menu of sweet and spicy instead of bitter and burnt. I went home and threw it in the TRASH! The Perry's fried asparagus was the only thing that I enjoyed. My first visit the steak was heavenly devine and the sides were poor. This time I threw the steak in the TRASH!!! I won't be returning.

Superb Bone-In Ribeye

By mshbnyehud |

We enjoyed a delightful, but hardly perfect, evening at Perry's prior to the Dallas Symphony. Valet parking is inexpensive ($5) and VERY efficient. They even made special arrangements for our car to be available after the concert. Our reservation was honored immediately, and over the course of the evening, the restaurant completely filled up. Our server immediately introduced himself to us, arranged for water and took our drink orders. He seemed young, and later when the restaurant was full, he showed some signs of inexperience. For example, he brought us homemade bread service after the salad course. I expect bread to be served immediately or nearly so. We turned it down. We started by splitting a wedge salad, which was substantial enough for two persons. It was a beautiful presentation, but I thought the iceberg lettuce wasn't as fresh as it should be. Otherwise it was cold and very tasty. We then split a 22 ounce bone-in cowboy ribeye, which came out perfectly cooked with amazing flavor and texture. Kudos to the chef and kitchen staff. The portion was definitely substantial enough for 2 persons to split. We added a side order of sherry mushrooms which were absolutely delicious and a huge portion. As the restaurant filled up, we saw less and less of our waiter, to the point that when we needed to depart (in order to get to the Symphony on time), it took too much time to get the check, and complete payment. One other item that detracted from our dinner. There was a live singer in the bar area, but amplified throughout the restaurant. I thought it was distracting to our enjoyment and much too loud. OK for the bar area maybe, but cut the sound in the restaurant area. Overall, with some small improvements, Perry's competes well with the best steakhouses in Dallas, and certainly a great choice if you're headed to the Arts District.

Left disappointed

By Damon A |

Met my son in Dallas after he flew in from UK and I the UAE. Looking forward to a good steak meal and wondered up to here on our forst evening. Steak would have been great except the daily permitted amount of salt for an adult used to season it and it was not quiet cooked to order. Au gratin potatoes, i expected thinly sliced potatoes and onion, inch cubed potatoes? Waiting staff (Jordan) was great, he worked to try to get things right. Shame really, we were really looking forward to it and left half our food. Disappointed and left with a very salty taste in our mouth after.

Awesome Happy Hour

By Joseph S |

Visited on a Friday night with my spouse and out of town relative. The martini flights allowed us to try 3 different martinis for the price of one (my fav was the ‘rita’ with the very spicy chipotle sugar half-rim) The pork bites were super delicious as were the filet sliders. Oh, and the loaf of bread was very good as well. But, the service? Well, just flat out exceptional!

The Best

By ChrisWM-2468 |

On a Twelve day tour of Texas staying and eating in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Dallas, we had some remarkably good food. If we had to pick one place for the best meal there were some good contenders but I would have to put Perry’s first. Great food, great wine list and service just at the right level, attentive but not in your face. A cracking evening.

An excellent start to a wonderful evening of memories….

By Non Native T |

We dined here last night before going to see Andrea Bocelli AAC. With heavy traffic at rush-hour, we are going to arrive a few minutes late for a reservation however, a quick phone call assured us our reservation would still be good when we arrive. It was our first time dining at Perry’s location and everything, from the time we walked in the door until we departed to go to the concert, was truly excellent. Ordering from their senior menu was appreciated by this couple in their mid 70s. The steak was excellent, and the pork chop. It’s wonderful also. Our salads were crisp and fresh, and the side dishes we orderedI were tasty and plentiful. Pacino was our waiter and he definitely is a credit to the establishment…. We enjoyed interacting with him and he made our dining experience at Perry’s special. We definitely recommend you giving Paris a try if you haven’t been there before.

Delicious!

By alexpalook |

The service here was fantastic! I went here on a date night and we both loved it! I had a medium rare steak and it was cooked exactly how I like it. Kudos to the chef.

Very Good Steaks! Great atmosphere!

By cassyg99 |

The filet topped with king crab in butter sauce was very good! I loved the lobster bisque, lots of big chunks of lobster in it. The creamed spinich was really good too! Service was excellent!

Best pork chop ever!

By JVM-Milford-MI |

Without a doubt, the best pork chop dish I’ve ever experienced. Perry’s is known for their pork chop dinner and I thought our host was over selling it before we arrived. I was wrong. It was actually three portions of pork expertly prepared. On top of that our server was exceptional. We also enjoyed the bacon wrapped shrimp, fillet tater tots, fried asparagus, and pork bite appetizers. The only thing average about our experience were some of the side dishes. Everything was over the top excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant for couples, a business entertaining or special occasion.

Great steaks and chops!

By Kelly M |

We can always count on the steaks and chops being absolutely delicious. We were disappointed with our bread pudding which was dry and slightly burned. We will stick to the meat in the future!

Wonderful hospitality, Great quality food!

By Bridgett |

What a beautiful steakhouse. Highly recommend starting your evening in the bar. Try the Hog Hatten Old Fashion. Beef & Blue bites are tasty!

OMG Delicious

By infinitechris |

We spent a long weekend with friends that live in Dallas and on our last night with our friends they pulled up 5 menus of restaurants of their liking and had us pick from them one for dinner. After browsing the menus we picked Perry’s; to say we made the best choice, would be an understatement. The service is top notch, the decor beautiful, the menu has you wanting one of everything but in the end it was the scrumptious food that earned it 5 stars. We started off with cocktails and wine, enjoyed a delicious lobster appetizer, enjoyed ceaser salad and lobster bisque soup, three of us had the Perry’s Filet which was wrapped with the best bacon any of us have ever tried and one of us went with the Famous Perry’s Pork Chip that tasted a bit like heaven. We will definitely visit again when the opportunity arises.

Horirble Experience

By Brian P |

I recently booked Perry's Park District to host a private event in June 2023 and I figured why not try them out for my birthday as well? The ambience and view of Downtown Dallas is 5 stars, but nothing else about my experience was up to par. One of my guests ordered the French Onion soup, and he is not one to send anything back but he did with the soup. When we explained to our waiter, who's name is Michael, his response was "you are the first person to say they didn't like it, everyone else does!" Another guest of mine, who is in his 70's, ordered some wine and stated it was a Malbec. Well, our waiter said "We do not have that so let me get you a wine menu so you can LOOK FOR YOURSELF." After reviewing the menu, our guest thought it was a malbec, but it was a merlot. The steaks & pork chop were good, but the sides were mediocre. The desserts were decent. Michael only checked on our table once. Upon reviewing our bill, my 70+ year old guest noticed there were two charges taken off. When Michael came by, my guest was asking for clarification on the credits & making sure they the asparagus that we ordered but not receive would also be taken off the bill. Our servers response was "There is no reason to be curt with me." After he said that to my guests, I immediately told him he was out of line and got management involved. While I do not remember his name, he did mention it was his first night since he transferred from the N. Dallas location. I reiterated with him that I booked an event with Paige for June 2023 and this was not a good experience nor a selling point. He stated he would inform Paige who would reach out to me. As of now, I still have not heard any response from the leadership team at Perry's Park District.

Very Disappointing

By GrandDetour |

OK, if you read my other reviews you can tell I am almost always positive and even give the benefit of the doubt just in case the place was having a bad night. This place was so disappointing especially considering the expectations from the prices and decor. First, if I remember correctly there is only valet parking with $10 minimum. When one enters the restaurant the decor and ambiance lead you to believe you are going to get great service and a meal worth the price. Second, the service was pretty darn bad with food not arriving at the same time for the 7 friends in our party. The servers just seemed out of step and not knowing what the others were doing. Had it been a football team they would have kept getting illegal motion penalties. Disorganized. And lastly and most importantly, three of the steaks served came in cooked not as ordered. My wife and I had their signature pork chops and they were dry and tasteless - truly not worthy of a cafeteria much less a fine dining establishment. No one seemed to brag about their steak either. Even had this been a medium priced restaurant, the service and food was below standard. Having expectations in the atmosphere and price, my wife and I could not quit talking on the way home how poor this was. This was a special evening with out of town friends and it failed miserably. OK, now I can say perhaps they were just having a bad night, but I truly don't think we will ever darken their door again. I can't imagine this was just an off night.

Try the Pork Chop

By Heston Y |

I usually don't order pork chops, but I heard this place is famous for them. The pork chop is big and has a brown sugar crust. It is very tender. You'll love it! I didn't love their grilled vegetables. I would like to see more of a variety offered there. The service and the environment are excellent.

Really Nice (fruit flies!)

By B.E. Garmon |

The food and service were great, but our dining experience was hampered by "fruit flies", so bad that we had to be requested to be moved to another table. After that, it was fine.

Best of downtown dallas

Typical steak house: good filet

By Jothebossofcheese |

This is a typical steak house with a nice location was great, but the food.I ordered a NY strip steak and was well cooked. The crab cake appetizer was the best I have had. In general I would suggest it.
