This was fun to say you have done it. The musicians are all about making a buck, and they are not the greatest singers. However, the atmosphere is fun. They got a little raunchy for my taste, and the drinks were quite pricey. I do love that they let you bring in food from other vendors since they don't offer any. Overall, I would say do it just to say you have.

What a fun place to spend an evening with cold drinks and great music! Despite it being packed, service was excellent. The atmosphere is fantastic and will get you up, dancing and singing. Not cheap but worth it for a full evening of FUN!!

great area to party in. great bar to party in. but you better bring some cash !! if you want to hear a song be prepared to pay. if you put a dollar in the jar check the face first. $1 don't cut it here. another place that has gotten too big for itz britches. crowded. way expensive watered down drinks. there are other options.

We enjoyed the entertainment but were disappointed when we paid $100 plus tip to reserve a mezzanine booth to celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary with our children and adult grandchildren. When our anniversary was not recognized by the musicians after AJ (who booked our reservation) mentioned it at the door and the waitress mentioned it as we were seated, we were later told we would have to pay for the request. Upon leaving, we discovered our rental car had been towed at a cost of nearly $300. No announcements were made about 6th street being cleared after 8:30pm and we later saw a small sign posted in the middle of the block. With the $100 booth rental with 20% tip, the $300 towing and taxi fee and our $200 bar bill for 6 of us, the $600 night was hardly worth the effort.

We were here for a bachelorette party. I tried to reserve a table but they were booked. Honestly though, the place is so small you really don't need a table to have fun. We got there a little early and got spots on the bleachers. The cover charge is kind of expensive. While we were waiting for the show to start we were told to fill out a request sheet. We filled out two and attached $20 to both. Only one song got played and it was three hours later when half the group had already left. Hard to compete with people paying $150(!!!) to play a song, which is ridiculous to me. The musicians also made offhand comments about how you need to pay a lot of money if you want to hear your song. Didn't really sit well with me. This was a fun experience for maybe an hour or two but started getting repetitive. I wouldn't go back.

Two pianos, great performers, fun, fun time! Such talented guys that played piano, had awesome voices, played drums, guitars, etc. audience participation is highlighted encouraged. So fun! Would go back in a heartbeat!

I love this place, The music they play is always relatable to everyone. We all sing along and some get up and dance cover charge is 12 dollars a person and drink are pretty pricey but we do not mind since its so much fun! Everyone here is ready to have a great time. I love love love Pete's.

If you enjoy being rowdy and having fun this is the place for you. The musicians are very talented. There is a cover so be prepared.

First time visiting a piano bar and it was fun. I enjoyed it more than what I thought I would. It got a bit crowded as the night went on but no big deal.

Went on a Tuesday night and it was packed. The entertainment was unbelievable!! The musicians were so talented. Get ready to sing and laugh for hours!!

Took some friends here from out of town in April 2015 and we had a great time. Pete's is always a fun evening out.

Sunday night what a night it was. Highlight for me was the not only the number of teachers in there getting hammered but the female teacher who was also an adult internet video star. The people next to us didn't believe it so Google'd her and sure enough she was telling the truth. The stage skill those guys had was insain. Table service was also very good. Only advice is wear layers as the place was freezing when we first went in and then got sweaty hot.

Great atmosphere, excellent music and fun for audience participation! The piano players took requests and many in the crowd sang and danced to the music.

This bar was very entertaining and a great place to visit, the musicians were fun and they were obviously enjoying themselves. We went on a Wednesday night and it was really alive. We stayed to see the band and they were also very entertaining and fun to watch. I would highly recommend this bar if you are looking for an entertaining, fun night out in Austin.

A must stop when in Austin. Amazingly talented and hilarious musicians. I can honestly say this is the best piano bar I have ever been to, and I had just been at Pat O'Briens, in NOLA, 4 nights prior. Hands down....Pete's rocks! !

There’s not much else to say, except don’t miss this venue. The pianist(s) are extremely talented musicians and comedians who really know how to work a crowd, and there’s always a crowd. Be prepared for some “adult” language and content, but it’s tastefully delivered and the crowd is either on it’s feet dancing or rolling on the ground laughing.

If you have been to one piano bar, you have been to all of them. But, I will say this one was better than most. The collection of musicians is very good, and when they all come out together and played multiple instruments, it is a very good show. Drinks weren't cheap, but the overall we had a blast hanging out here.

We stopped in because we say people with gray hair!! The area is YOUNG to say the least. As a 40 something year old, I'm one that is always willing to go the extra mile to keep the party going. Pete's was the only place that I didn't feel like a grandfather. The music was fun Don't get suckered into the college fight song battle!!

Fun place to kick back, be entertained and sing along. I was on my own, but once there met a lot of friendly kick-back people. The entertainers are truly entertaining and a lot of energy.

Went here with two friends after dinner. $7 cover which was a good value for the entertainment. Non-stop dueling piano / musical comedy / etc. Several different groups of birthday / bachelorette parties. There is a second floor that overlooks the stage area too. They had a full bar, and then large fishbowl-type fancy drinks to "share." We all had a great time. I will continue to bring visitors back.

Such a lively and great atmosphere. The musicians are so talented and the cocktail waitresses are super friendly.

Nice bar, with exciting, funny and dynamic shows! Excellent place to celebrate birthdays, bachelorette's parties, etc.

I would recommend this place for good music good company and a good time. If your love music like old rock, Billy Joel, etc... you will have a blast.

This place gets started late but keeps rolling all the way to closing time when they usually do a tribute to soldiers!

They always have Dueling Pianos and the musicians are very talented and can sing almost any genre song. This place is so fun it attracts locals and a lot of out-of-towners. Usually has a cover and the drinks are a little pricey. I think it is on the list for bachelorette parties because there must have been four of them there when we were there recently. Located in the heart of downtown on 6th Street it's right in the middle of all the action.

Kinda like a show/bar combined. Love the interaction with the "audience", the musicians are hilarious (maybe not the best musicians out there, but have a vast knowledge of music) and keep you entertained for hours.

It's quite the watering hole, with dueling piano players and others occasionally accompanying, leading the crowd in group singing, sometimes changing up the lyrics to be a bit more bawdy. Most everyone seems to be having a grand time. We went in for drinks and were highly entertained -- and the drinks were good, too. Go there!

We had a great time despite having a waiter get in my face and try to yell at me. I tried to get his name, but he refused to tell me and disappeared into the crowd. It was standing room only and I'm guessing that's the usual. The entertainers were great. I'd give the place five out of five if not for the bad attitude of the the staff.

Love this place. Good music with cold beer. Very friendly atmosphere with great staff. Of course the location is good too.

Pete's is the place to go if you have a large group who like to drink and like to sing! It is tons of fun watching people pay money to get the piano guys to play their songs, and the more you drink, the better you sing, right? At $9 a glass - a tiny glass at that - for cab and chardonnay, it's a little steep for drinks, but if you can get by with just a drink or two, it's a lot of fun.

Best piano bar I've been to. Several great musicians rotate, helping each other, with cool sense of humor. Pretty cool place.

Got tired of all the country bands. So, we went to Pete's. Had a great time. Drinks were well priced. Should add a food menu.....

So out of all the bars we went hopping, we spent the most time here. Its music and laughter, and the performers interact with the audience really well. They sing, and joke, and play piano all together!

I visited here a few years ago and have been here twice for this visit. If you want to have fun with great musicians singing along to the fun tunes...go here, you will be not be disappointed! Fabulous servers as well!!! They can play almost everything!!!

I was just expecting a dueling piano bar. At one point a group of 4 gentlemen came up to sing acapella. Then they were just playing song requests as a full band. They all sang very well and played multiple instruments. My favorite was when they actually did a piano battle that ranged from classical, 20's, 40's, Super Mario brothers, etc.

We went on a Friday night it was pretty crowded but there were still plenty of tables. The bar had live musicians playing on two pianos singing requests for tips. They were incredible and fully interactive with the crowd. Table service was available though we simply ordered from the bar, my one complaint would be the staff were quite rude working the bar. Drinks were fairly expensive but it was a great craic. Men’s toilets didn’t have a door just a curtain but you can have a go if you’re brave enough

We go to Pete's Piano Bar eve time we are in downtown Austin. Its always upbeat and a blast. For me I have for the most part always had great service as well. Now there is going to be several bachelorette parries going on but that's half the fun watching the parties interact with the pianos players. Ya gotta try in a least for a few drinks...ya might just stay all night!

Awesome bar on Sixth Street! Dueling piano players make the night out with family or friends memorable. Lots of humor and audience participation.

We stopped here on our first night in Austin. The pianists knew lots of different genres of music and were happy to take requests. Everyone made us feel really welcome and it was a great start to our trip.

I had never been to a piano bar before and when I walked into this place with friends I knew it was going to be fun (And sure enough it was!). I loved the many different talents that appeared on stage to perform and loved many of the song selections that were played. The drinks were pretty good too and the service was very friendly. Would definitely visit again!

We sat near pianos and sang along with people from all over the world until late. Loved the young and friendly clientele.

I am a repeat customer of Pete's Dueling Piano Bar in Austin, TX. Although the place is a bit small and get easily crowded around midnight, the customer service and music entertainment remain phenomenal. It is recommended that you book a reservation with the piano bar on the weekends! The place gets packed and it becomes difficult to find an empty table for you or your party to sit on. Booking a reservation will ensure that you have a place to sit in front of the pianos/musicians and get to interact with them as much as you like. The wait staff and bartenders are always quick to make your drinks, polite, and happy-go-lucky! I always enjoy this place!

Just sit in the corner and let them bring you well priced drinks, this place is a must so lively and the way they do it the music never stops.

I traveled with a group of woman all over 40 and we decided to venture into Pete's Piano Bar. What a great time we had. The entertainment was great! Lots of fun and talent.

We were there on a Wednesday night and we were not really expecting that the place would be packed. But it was. Incredible atmosphere created by performers playing songs and entertaining the crowd quickly absorbed us completely. Everybody was singing, clapping, cheering and even dancing together. I would definitely recommend to visit this place and I personally am committed to always stop there for at least one evening while in Austin.

The overall atmosphere was phone and the audience was boisterous and loud. The piano players were good at bring the crowd into the show.

Been to two different Pete's now (Ft Worth & Houston). Both were a great time. The cover is on par with other bars, but it's way more entertaining. Drink specials are good, and it's always a good time.

Dueling pianos is something I have always wanted to do and it was hands down one of the most fun evenings I've ever had. The pianists seem to know every popular song of the last forty years and they also have competitions between each half of the bar or have people in the front rows get up and make a fool of themselves (don't sit up front if you're shy!). Of course it's pricey, between $8 cover and $6 bottles, but if you pace yourself you can spend a few hours without emptying your wallet. Go, make a request, and enjoy!

Fun way to spend an evening with a group of family and friends. The musicians were entertaining and played many classic tunes as well as a few more current songs. Sing along, drink the specialty cocktails and enjoy the music. There is a five dollar cover and the drinks are not cheap however, you are paying for the atmosphere. We had a great time.

Tuesday night and Pete's was packed. Cold beer, great martinis, happy staff, music that you could sing along for me iquals recipe for fun. Worth trying it,

This was a fun spot for some great entertainment, we did get there early enough to get seats in the peanut gallery. I do suggest getting reservations. It was fun!

What a fantastic experience. Really talented guys taking requests all night having great back and forth with the audience if you are looking for a fun night in Austin, you must go here.

I took some co-workers to Pete's and everyone had a great time. The piano players work very hard to entertain a crowd and have a knack for knowing which songs are going to be more fun. The level of talent varies by person, but they are all very entertaining. There was no cover charge on a Thursday and the drink prices were reasonable. I suggest going with a big group and creating your own fun.

We went there with a few friends. The place is very nice, the dueling piano concept is extremely good and fun. The pianists/singers are very good! Definetly a place to visit in Austin.

We visited during the month of May, a popular time for Bachelorette Parties. There was at least 3 when we were there. The guys on the pianos were fantastic, funny and knew a great number of songs. We had a wonderful time!

Go with a group of friends, play, sing, and the talent was great. The music never stops for over 6 hours. No breaks, just a switch of players. Great time was had by all.

if you are looking for great entertainment and drinks this is the place! any age. so much fun - great musicians duelling it out on the pianos and they take requests!

This is a great place to go with friends to have some refreshments and listen to some fun music. If you don't have a good time it is your fault.

Excellent vibe. All the musicians are excellent and the place has a fantastic vibe. We ended up here every night. You won’t be disappointed. Live music on piano and drums and singing was very entertaining we did not want to leave. They have a $5 cover charge but well worth it. Will definitely go back again. Best entertainment in 6th street

Had a fun night . We're really busy night we were there. Musicians very talented and everyone young and old had a good time.

If you want to be entertained, this is the place! The piano guys sing and are full on comedians. OMG did we laugh. On the Saturday Night there were literally 10 bachelorette parties and the source of endless belly laughs. We have been to Pat O'Brians in New Orleans a few times and Pete's was a hundred times better. When you are in Austin, you have to go for at least a few drinks. They crank it up around 9 when more people are there. Enjoy!

We went here August 2015 for an anniversary weekend trip. The performers had a lot of talent, and the intermittent comedy they mixed in made the show great. The giant 56 ounce fishbowl drinks they advertise are mostly ice, mixed with 40 proof flavored liquor; very weak, very expensive. Their other "named" drinks are all weak and pricey, stick with regular drink orders.

This place was awesome. The musicians and the song selection were great, from current pop hits to 70's classic rock, all with a twist of humor and naughtiness. I will so go back. I had the most enjoyable time spending the evening here.

My wife and I went on a Tuesday night, we had heard some good things about the place. It was a $5 cover charge per person; we figured it was two guys playing the piano and we'd have a pretty mellow night with people singing "Piano Man" and "Sweet Caroline." There was a little of that, but...in addition to the two guys, another guy and a girl came on stage...along with the two pianos there was an electric guitar and drums...all four played every instrument...and it turned into a mostly classic rock/pop show that was as good as most concerts I've seen! The version of "Sweet Child 'o Mine" by Guns and Roses was off the charts! Just incredible. We went back for two more nights in a row after that, and although it gets a little repetitive, you HAVE to go once. The first night there was the highlight of our trip for me.

Talent is great. Audience engagement was great. It was a lot of fun and less skanky than a lot of the nearby places,

A great evening, a lot of excitement in the place. The piano players were so talented. Great service from waitress, the drinks were fun too

If you want to party hard, request songs, drink and sing to your hearts content this is the bar for you. The dualing piano guys will begin with the 70's head into the 80's, join up with the 90's and exceed into 2000 and beyond. You want country, you got it, You want rock & roll, blues, rap and beyond this is the bar for you. Never saw any food but saw the drinks flowing. The cover charge is steep but the entertainment is worth it!

Visited on a bit of an off night (wednesday) so it was a bit dead inside. They charge a cover to get in. It has a fun atmosphere and the piano players were great. I would return if I am every back in Austin!
Great entertainment
We went with a group as part of a large convention that was in town. Lots of people and great atmosphere. The musicians were great and really played to the audience. My only issue with this place the the cover charge, seems excessive
