Always Delicious

Service is always good for us. Always more than enough portion wise at this place. The shrimp pho was good. Plenty of vegetables and sauce. Love this place

Fast & Delicious

I've eaten here several times and should have written a review months ago ........ The food here is wonderful ....... i've yet to order something i didn't like The pho , of course, is a staple here ......... you walk in and it seems there's a big bowl on every table. It's hard to NOT order it on every visit ! The place is always bustling ....... lots of Vietnamese diners ..... to me that alone says the food is top notch. Promptly seated upon walking in ........ the food arrives within minutes after ordering . The table holds all forms of condiments , chopsticks, etc. The fruit shakes and Pearl Milk iced tea are excellent. They are a BYOB so you can bring wine or whatever if you choose. Try to remember to ask for everything you need when your waiter is there as they don't come back to check on you every few minutes like most restaurants , HOWEVER the servers are always prompt and courteous. Also , they do not bring you the check ...... when your finished your meal simply go up to the register and they already know exactly what you ordered and will ring you up . One of the other things i like about eating here is that there is free parking . Its always a challenge to find parking in the city .......much less at no cost.

BEST PHO in PHILLY!!!

By Helen K |

True Vietnamese Pho with the amazing broth and they actually have one with bone marrow! Their other noodles dishes like bun bo hue is amazing. I want to try something else on their menu but always end up getting their noodle soup dishes. Their spring rolls (fried) and summer rolls (non-fried) are also amazing They are not stingy with meat and noodles and very fast service!

Great Pho and friendly staff

By TravelingMonkey |

The service was prompt and super friendly. The pho had a very nice depth and layers of flavors. The accompanying meats was tender and the veggies fresh. I even considered going back to eat Pho for breakfast but it was a bit out of the way to airport. Recommendable and I’llbe back if I go to Phili again. Thanks!

Loved this place

By snorkler09 |

My daughter and I love PHO, she discovered this place and suggested we go. A lot of locals waiting to get a table despite the fact there are a decent amount of tables. We ordered some summer rolls and rice with chicken. Everything was outstanding. Service was friendly and efficient, food great, and environment lively. can't wait to return.

Vietnamese goodness

By Melissa S |

I was really craving Cafe Tran Chau (pearl iced coffee) so I had to make a stop here before my drive home. I am really glad I did! The coffee was excellent, and the chewy pearls or bobas topped it off. I decided since I was there, I should just go ahead and order dinner to go too. I ordered the Chao Tom (shrimp wrapped around sugarcane) and the Mi Tom Thit (egg noodle soup with shrimp and pork). I didn't really care for the shrimp wrapped around sugarcane because they minced the shrimp first and then fried it. I am not a big fan of minced food - maybe since I see the blender version substances served to people at the hospital on soft diets. I wanted to be able to see the shrimp, and because of that it was a texture I wasn't expecting. It still tasted alright, it's just not for me. On a high note, the egg noodle soup with shrimp and pork was very scrumptious. It was full of fresh ingredients: chives, lettuce, sprouts, shrimp, pork, and a delicious broth. I don't eat beef so I requested the chicken broth. The portion size for the soup is ridiculous- you can easily have 2-3 meals out of it depending on how hungry you are. The cost for the amount of food you get is spot on. I will be returning to this establishment next time I have a craving for Vietnamese food and coffee.

Clean place, good food

By JCphilly |

This was our first visit, but will not be the last! The surroundings are a little suspect with a donut shop and some cheaper-type stores sharing the strip mall, but that is the only downside to this restaurant, which has great tables, a well supplied sause and stick setting at each table, and staff with customized golf shirts. We ordered some vermicelli noodles and egg noodle soup combinations, which were very good, and cold rice paper rolls of BBQ pork with peanut sause which was outstanding. We complimented the lunch with Iced Coffee that was alone worth the trip. The restrooms were clean.

Come here for phở

By L Tran |

Located in a shopping area at the corner of Washington Ave and S. Christopher Columbus Blvd, this phở gem is tucked away from the cluster of Vietnamese restaurants. Speaking of phở, this is the best in Philadelphia in my opinion. For the phở alone, it is 5 stars, so do not hesitate to give it a try.

Best Vietnamese in the Philly Area - worth the drive

By Bui101 |

Pho Saigon is located east of Washington Ave in Pennsport, so it takes a few minutes off of the main "Little Vietnam" strip. But it is well worth the minuscule inconvenience from your grocery shopping. It is located in the same strip mall as the big Party Planning store, so parking is plenty (although packed during Saturday and Sunday brunch hours). I've sampled MANY Vietnamese restaurants in the Philly area and generally rate my meal experience on their Pho. Best and freshest pho I've had in Philly! Even my husband, who generally orders the noodles and rice dishes, thought it was the best he has had. They know how to simmer their broth, and it helps that they have a popular following (ie high turnover of produce). The decor is minimal, but restaurant is clean and seems to always be busy. Waiters are quick and efficient, as is the delivery of the food. Seriously, 5 minutes after ordering we got our food...skeptical at how fresh it was until we ate it! Crowd is diverse - young, old, hipsters, couples, families, singles. Finally found my go-to Vietnamese restaurant!

Lunch in Philadelphia, PA

By Vy H. |

Came here recently for lunch—lots of available seating and parking outside. Overall the food was good—we enjoyed the Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio, Pho and Mien Ga! The Goi Cuon Tom Thit (summer rolls) was just alright—the rice paper was too thick and didn’t taste that good.

Good Stop for Vietnamese

By Joann W |

This place is a good stop and conveniently located on the way to I-95. I'd suggest trying their spring rolls, salty lemon soda, Thai bubble tea, sugarcane shrimp or any of the Vietnamese noodle dishes. You get a decent amount of food that is tasty and delicious. Plus, when you order take out, they will provide you with both regular utensils and chopsticks. Always friendly, attentive service and the wait is minimal for take-out even when it is jam packed (which is like always.)

This is where Pho lives

By Tom L |

Look in the dictionary and under the definition of the word Pho there is a picture of this place... Don't let the cheesy stop mall look on the outside fool you. They make some serious noodle on the inside with the fastest service imaginable on the inside. I'm a portion guy, and the large here will fill you up for hours. Although the atmosphere is a little bit run down and the bathroom is nothing to applaud about its all about the food here. This is a great spot for a person who needs to eat and be out in 15 minutes or a large family. Good noodle lives here...

Best Pho in Philadelphia

By kimmywalk |

Consistently good Pho. Larges portions, clean dining room, friendly staff and reasonably priced. Try the #69 and Sumner rolls, you won't be disappointed!

Today 9/12/2021 I went there with my daughter for lunch . we ordered half of steamed chicken and 2 small bowl plain egg soup , half of steam chicken cost me $20.95 way over charged plain egg noodle soup $10.25 each bowl it’s rip off , anybody need to pay attention this Vietnamese restaurant , rip off restaurant.

Well done Vietnamese cuisine, ample portions

By RichC250 |

We enjoyed a nice meal here and it's BYOB, with a package store right next door. Not much on the decor with a friendly staff and knowledgeable servers. For the price you will enjoy larger portions on apps and entrees. All the ingredients were fresh and several hot condiments on the tables for your spicy pleasure. Menu descriptions might need a revamp.

Good place....

By George P |

After a bad experience on our last Vietnamese restaurant, we tried this place. It was busy when we arrived but were seated right away. Tea came almost immediately and we began to look at the menu to decide. My girlfriend happened to look at the wall and saw a cockroach climbing up. We seemed to be the only ones who noticed. My girl has traveled and didn't seem as disturbed as I would have thought. We decided to stay anyway and aside from this one issue, this place was great. The waiter was very friendly and helpful in our selection. We ordered summer rolls which came out promptly. My girl ordered bbq pork and rice and I had pho with beef and brisket. Both came right out and tasted very good. The food, service and prices were enough to overcome our small visitor. I would definitely come again....I hope the visitor was just a freak occurrence...

Ok

By Craig W |

Have never had pho. But do like soup and quality food. I thought the pho was just basic soup and didn't like the quality of the meat. I thought price was high at 11 for a large bowl of soup with some meat shavings. I thought the menu offerings were limited with no vegetables offered

Simply amazing

By zoytt |

My first time in this restaurant! I stop to eat here becouse I saw so many Vietnamese people going in, so I Ifigured it had to be good. I was not mistaken. The food was fresh and just so... so good. the prices were very reasonable and service very friendly and fast. I was the only non Vietnamese patron in the place, it looks very original, the manu is in both langages. There was plenty of parking, the area looks safe and clean. I would love to return

Nice pit-stop

I come here often, mostly after class for a quick bowl of pho on the way home. The service is quick and friendly. I'm never disappointed, and it's always delicious!

Great Vietnamese Food

By SvetMeskin |

I love their phos and summer and spring rolls. Main dishes are also delicious. If you are avocado lover, try avocado shake, it's tasty. Overall, great food for great value, great and fast service.

Great food for great price!

By Traveler |

The four of us each had a different kind of Pho and we shared spring roll appetizers (also delicious). All the food was fabulous. We all ordered the large, which was only about $1.00 more and we each ended up taking home a quart of soup. The soup was soooo good, and the experience was a lot of fun. I'm ready to go back asap!

Solid Pho destination

By PelleasPhiladelphia |

All along Washington Ave (mostly clustered around 11st street) are Vietnamese Pho (beef soup) restaurants. This one which is in a strip mall on Columbus Ave is nothing outstanding but a solid place for Pho, Vermicelli Noodles, and Noodle Soup. Don't expect any other entree dishes - come here for big portions of hearty soup for low prices. Its very casual and filled mostly with vietnamese customers.

Amazing bun

Grilled chicken with spring roll bun is fantastic. Generous portion of grilled chicken. Very tasty and good value. We finished every morsel. Big thumbs up. Couldn’t be better. Highly recommend.

Wish this was near home!

By Liz T |

While vacationing, we stopped in at Pho Saigon for lunch. Having to drive at least 30 minutes at home for good Pho, we were excited that this was near our hotel on Columbus Blvd. The food was awesome! We had Pho and Hue plus amazing spring rolls. Delicious broth, fresh vegetables and great service. A small bowl was more than enough. This was the best value of all our vacation meals. We would have gone back if we had more time. Sure wish this was near home!

Best Pho since Vietnam!

By Mr.H |

I have been to Vietnam several times and this is as good as what I had there. My wife is Vietnamese and her brothers are incredible cooks and owned a Vietnamese restaurant in Vietnam and they like it here as well. Though I must admit, they say it isn't 100% like Vietnam but it is as good as you will get here in the states. This I believe is due to the slight difference in ingredients and cooking style. Outside of Vietnam and my brother in laws cooking this is the best in the area. We travel often and use Tripadvisor to check out local Vietnamese restaurants and this has been the one to beat. We have about 20 Vietnamese restaurants between where we live and Pho Saigon, it takes about an hour to get here but it is worth the drive for us. We had Pho just yesterday in Allentown PA and it was not good. I have not been one to post negative reviews unless it was an extremely terrible experience. One interesting note, the owner of the Vietnamese restaurant in Allentown had one in Philadelphia that closed as it couldn't compete with Pho Saigon. On a funny note, we call it "Pho Hanoi", why? Because all the workers are from the north. I told my wife that the reason it is called Pho Saigon is that no Americans would like to eat at any placed with "Hanoi" in its name for the negative connotation. The staff is efficient if not friendly.

Vietnamese dive (in a good way!)

Go for the food, not the atmosphere! Great pho and summer rolls. Lots of parking (and EV car chargers). Fast service. Reasonable prices.

Pho-nomenal!

Order number 80...the BBQ pork with rice and fried egg on top. I dream about it...seriously! One if the best things I have ever eaten!

I love the food here!! I never had Vietnamese food before so I was hesitant but after trying it have to stop myself from eating there everyday. The fruit shakes are fresh and delicious. Have yet to have a bad thing off the menu. Try it you will love it like I do.
