As usual the line to Hopdoddy's right next door was obscene, so we opted for this place. My spouse loved her Pho, and my fried noodles was good too. Service can be a bit slow and/or erratic, but worth the trouble. Plenty of free parking too!

I really recommend this restaurant, the food is really good and it has some nice Asian beers on their menu.

We all got different entrées and I loved the seafood Pho. Everyone loved what they got. The flavor was just right and the vegetables used were wonderful. We loved the spring rolls.

We visited this unassuming restaurant for lunch with our vegetarian / gluten intolerant daughter. There were loads of options and the three meals we chose were all delicious. We had pad Thai, lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl and a beef pho. All fresh and so delicious. We’ll be back.

Pho was good, not great. Service was fair although I felt they were trying to rush me out the door. I wouldn't seek this place out just to eat there, but it's worth a try being close by.

I looooovee this place!! The pho's are amazing! and the price makes it sooo much better! The smoothies are also good and the servers are very friendly!!

if you're needing good food at a good price with good service, then Pho Thaison is the place to go! We like it for either take out or a relaxed place when we want to get out of the kitchen. We've never been disappointed.

We judge Vietnamese restaurants based on how God their vermicelli bowl with pork and egg roll tastes. This one beat out our former favorite, Pho Van. Delicious.

There are multiple Pho Thaison restaurants in Austin, but this is most *definitely* the one to which you should go. The husband and wife team who run the kitchen and front of house treat me like family and are never too busy to stop and say Hello. And from our relationship, I am proud to say that I did have a part to play in the addition of GF and Vegetarian/Vegan options to their new menus. They are open for lunch from 11a-3:30p and then reopen for dinner from 5:30p-10p, and are usually busiest around 12noon and from 5:30p-7:30p. It can get bottlenecked at the front door during these times, but with patience, a wonderful meal awaits. A usual meal for me consists of a pot of Chrysanthemum Tea, an order of Veggie Spring Rolls, and either the Lemongrass Delight, the Vietnamese Crepes, or Vegetarian Pho. All of my friends who have come here with me love it as well, and have raved about the Pad Thai-son, the Bun bowls, and the Brisket Sliders. Affordable, wonderfully layered dishes that capture comfort effortlessly.

I really wanted to try some of the other dishes, but usually when we go to a Pho restaurant, that’s what I order. So we have been here twice. We ordered a 15 and a 17. It was kind of crowded so I could see quite a few other dishes coming out and everything looked good... Our orders arrived and the pho really hit the spot with the rich tasting soup. Yum. We will be coming again soon and hopefully I will try something else! Food=4.5, Service=3, Value=4. Tripadvisor rating buttons not responding to my input so I added this to my review.

I would suggest the Steak & Brisket Pho (pronounced Pha) Veggie fried rice and Chicken Curry rice. The Thai Tea Pearl was very good...and a touch of authentic. Quick service and fills up the small dining area at lunch so good a little early if possible. Huge parking area for this retail center so plenty of spaces to choose. After eating, you can walk around and shop at other stores. Eat and exercise at one location. Great idea.

My wife and I are from the bay area and are used to having excellent pho noodle house options. This was our first pho place that we tried upon getting to Austin and we had high hopes. They delivered! They have a ton of pho options including, chicken, flank, tendon, brisket and steak - the usual fare. The pho was delicious and mild while still packing lots of flavor. I also had their tofu spring roll which they brought out warm but not hot, and the peanut sauce that went with it was excellent. Since it's not too far from us I'm sure my wife and I will continue to go here for quite a while. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Best pho in Austin. Reasonable prices. Friendly and efficient service. Pork belly sliders also delicious.

I order beef brisket pho taste good i drunk all soup. My friend order beef pho meatballs. Better than other pho restaurant in Austin

We tried this restaurant due to the reviews and it lived up to the rating very well. The food was well prepared and the taste was marvelous. Be sure to try the pork slider appetizers, they are yummy. The "shaken beef" was nicely grilled and the sauce very tasty. Soup bowl #54 was had by others and it smelled wonderful with a plethora of meats in it. Except for service being a bit slow, this was a wonderful meal.

The atmosphere is very informal at Pho Thaison, the welcome is warm, and for a very reasonable price you can immerse yourself in really nicely turned-out Thai/Vietnamese cuisine. We went as a group of six -- four adults, an infant, and a baby -- and were very well treated indeed. Good cheap wines and beers complemented a range of veg and noodle dishes -- my favorite was grilled chicken on noodles -- that came to the table quickly yet were clearly given a lot of thought. We left feeling well-fed yet in no way overstuffed. The family-friendly atmosphere was also very much appreciated --

I used to like going to this restaurant. It was the place to go to during my lunch hour with my work colleagues and family on the weekends. For some reason, the quality of the experience and food has declined. First of all, the menus are pretty nasty. They are falling apart and stained with food. The lamination is completely falling apart and food stains within the paper portions. The restrooms are not kept clean either. My belief is that a restaurant's restroom reflects the kitchen. I'm not sure if there has been a change in management, but I sure hope they turn this restaurant around soon. There are so many options in Austin now and I think they can do much better than where they are now.

Never had a bad experience at this restaurant. Food is always exceptional and fresh. Absolutely recommend. The vegetarian and gluten free options are also extensive which is great. Food is also very well priced.

Popped in for a quick bite. I was warmly greeted as I walked in. The place was clean and service was prompt. I had the pork & shrimp vermicelli bowl. It tasted fresh and well seasoned. Dessert was a little cracker and tea deal. I sure I will be back . It's next door to my chiropractor.

Was shopping near by and speed for some pho. The place wasn't busy, so I was a little surprised after I had a fantastic experience. Ordered the b2 pho wit chargrilled pork and egg roll. The presentation was beautiful, and the taste was excellent. Pork was crispy and tender, with wonderful flavor, egg roll was fresh and light. The vermicelli was hot, which I prefer. And just the right amont of food. Service was superb, and at the end of meal I was surprised with a complimentary small warm tea and cookie. Nice toutch! I'll be back.

This quaint shopping plaza Vietnamese restaurant exceeded my expectations. I ordered appetizers --- pork belly Spring Rolls, pork belly Bao and spicy Tofu Bao. All were absolutely well made and bursting with authentic, fresh flavors! I recommend this wonderful new find in north Austin!

I ordered to go but this was a great find, close to the hotel. The food was very authentic, and the service was helpful in selecting my meal.

Went with friends for the first time at this restaurant. Started off with a summer roll which was good but I have had much better, My husband got the seafood pho which he enjoyed. I tasted the pho and the broth was wonderful. One friend had the chicken soup which she loved because it wasn't high in sodium like in most Vietnamese restaurants. I didn't have the pho but #B9 - shrimp, calamari and noodles - very good. I was the only one that finished my entree. My husband and friends barely put a dent in their Big bowls of Pho and had to take doggie bags. .

I ordered Pho Thaison using DoorDash. They were rude to my delivery person, then they shorted us one item and were missing the sauces for 3 other items. When she returned to pick those up, they were so rude to her that she called me. When speaking directly with the contact at Pho Thaison, I was lectured about using their online ordering (which doesn't have delivery...so that didn't work for me), that I should have called the restaurant (I did, and they didn't pick up), and that I shouldn't use third party delivery services. I have no idea what their problem was, but we used to come here for lunch frequently and we will NEVER go back there again after this experience. Just absolutely rude, condescending and irrational behavior towards their customer.

We so enjoy coming to this pho thaison. It's a peaceful place with no TVs and delicious food. My children, ages 11and 14, enjoy many of the noodle dishes. I like the spicy vegetarian entrees. It's nice enough but reasonable in price so that we can treat visitors without breaking the bank.

This was our first time here. We were seated right away and promptly waited on. Our food was freshly prepared and was so very flavorful. I most definitely recommend it.

I dined here recently "accidentally", I was going to have lunch with my wife at Vert's but the line was too long so we went next door to Pho Thaison. We were very happy with the result. Anderson Lane has seen an influx of new and very good restaurants, Pho Thaison however had never been on my family's radar. It is now. The exterior is understated, and lunchtime parking can be a bit difficult because of all the other restaurants in the immediate area. I wasn't blown away by the staff, the restaurant wasn't super-crowded when we got there and I thought the servers were slow in taking our order and on checking on us as we dined. We were however, very impressed with the food. The prices were a tad high for lunch in my opinion, but the food was delicious. I had a very tasty garlic and crab noodle dish, my wife had a tofu and pepper dish that she thought was heavy on the pepper but otherwise very good and very nicely seasoned. Our dishes came with an egg roll, and after the meal we were given a nice little sweet pastry and a cup of tea. We both were impressed by the menu, it was quite extensive and included a nice selection of vegetarian options. Overall, I was very impressed with the food, and I am planning to visit again soon to explore more of the menu.

I tried the beef Pho. Great food but the service was alright. The staff seemed to be more drawn to the kitchen the whole night. I saw many empty glasses and people looking around much like myself for someone to ask for a refill on our beverages. The food was exceptional good. Rich in spices and the beef was tender

The food here is consistently tasty and tasteful, by which I mean they manage to balance different ingredients, flavors and spices in subtle and delicious ways. Everything we have eaten there over a half dozen visits was excellent. The Phở is my wife's favorite anywhere. The Bánh xèo (vietnamese crepe) is generous yet never weighs on the stomach, even when shrimp and/or pork are added, as I ask them to do. The calamari salad, pork belly sliders, and vermicelli bowl with grilled pork slices and fried egg roll (B2) are other outstanding dishes. Service is casual but pleasant. They bring you a complimentary tea at the conclusion of your meal. Together with Sunflower, our favorite vietnamese restaurant in Austin.

This was the first visit and the takeout experience was excellent. Pho was the best I have had. They have a super easy online ordering process that is quick and allows you to customize orders or make special requests. They took the time to double check the order at pickup and the service was very friendly. Everything was nicely packaged and arrived home leak free. Good prices too.

The food is mediocre to good. The shrimp spring rolls were very fresh and tasty; the Shaken Beef Salad was delicious; and the stirfry vegetable with brown sauce was rather tastless, though the vegetables were very fresh. Once they get busy, service drops to zero.

My daughter and I had lunch there today. We had the vegetarian egg roll with peanut sauce, which was excellent. I had never had a Vietnamese crepe before, so we decided to try them. I ordered one with tofu and my daughter had the one with shrimp and pork. Both were very good. My crepe was a bit too crisp and broke into two pieces, making it a bit of a challenge to eat, but I finished every bit of it. The salad with it was unique, to say the least--half a head of romaine two large sprigs of mint and a lot of cilantro, all of which overwhelmed the plate. I will definitely go back.

Dined with six others last night. 15 minutes to be seated, although there was an open table, then sat for 10 minutes before water arrived, and another 15 minutes before our order was taken (and that was after getting the waitress' attention three times). One person in the party suggested that we consider going elsewhere, but we decided to stay. Eventually our order was taken. Food delivery was pathetic. Sporadic delivery of appetizers over a 10 minute period. Then, two meals arrived, 10 minutes later four meals arrived, and 15 minutes later the last meal arrived, after inquiry was made twice, only to find that the waitress had not put in the order initially. We had to repeatedly ask for water refills and extra napkins. We got our own to go boxes. Restaurant was only half full so no reason to be this messed up. After my suggestion, a nice fellow named Jason said he would omit the latest arriving dinner from the check. When the check arrived, the meal cost was not omitted. Food was OK, nothing special, but acceptable. I have been to this restaurant before and found it to be good enough to return to, and someone else in my party selected it. Too many good Vietnamese restaurants in Austin to suffer through this awful service. Go to Phonatic, Sunflower or Tam Deli. I will not be back to this restaurant for a long time, if ever.

Pho Thaison has a huge selection to choose from. They offer both traditional Vietnamese dishes, as well as Thai and Sushi. I have tried all and all are great.

It's hard to find decent Vietnamese food in Austin, but this place is the one I frequent when I don't feel like driving so far north on Lamar. Their spring rolls are clean and tasty and the pho is pretty good! Love the Thai iced tea and Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Lunch time has a bit of a line, but not too bad--just try to come slightly early.

Here’s the problem - Vietnamese food in Austin is completely honkified. There IS no great Vietnamese food that I’ve found. I lived in Houston in the early 80s when many recent immigrants were opening Mom and Pop shops and the food was amazing and filled with greens whose names I didn’t know and the subtle combinations were good news to my tongue. Now, you get romaine lettuce and cukes. The bun didn’t even have one bean sprout or any basil. Soon they’ll be adding mayonnaise. But seriously, this place has nicer decor than most and the food is pretty much like any place else.

Went to this highly recommended place. The fiod was indeed excellent. I had the Vietnamese pancakes which were crisp and filled with tofu and accompanied by a semi sweet dpi sauce. This came with loads of mint, coriander and lettuce - which made it very refreshing. Also had the tofu bun as a starter, which were good. The most surprising element was the asparagus tea accompanied by a cookie at the end of the meal. Quaint. What was really annoying was that they brought pork buns instead of tofu - which is very careless. The entrees came before the starters! This must have been because we went there at peak lunch hour. Friends say - go at 11am when they open and things will be better.

I ordered the vegetarian pho and found it delicious. My husband ordered the tofu curry and did not enjoy it. He didn't think there was enough sauce. The seating is crowded and the front door opened all the time which is not great for the atmosphere. But I did like their Pho and will definitely go back again and again.

Food was delicious, not a lot of flavor, which is good sometimes because you don't want a lot of sodium or flavors to overpower the dish. I highly recommend it, especially for dinner. :-)

We stopped here for lunch while furniture shopping on Burnet Road. Hop Doddy (next door) had a line 20 deep, so we came here instead. What a pleasant surprise! The atmosphere is nothing fancy, but the food was very good and the staff was quick and friendly. We tried the Vietnamese egg roll and pork belly sliders in steamed buns (yum) for appetizers. For lunch, we ordered the Pad Thai-Son noodles and the Shaken Beef. The pad thai was tasty (I ordered it with chicken & tofu), but the beef blew my mind. Charbroiled and medium-rare, it was perfect. The flavors on all the dishes were spot on and we enjoyed every morsel. After the meal, the waitress brought each of us a complimentary orange-scented pirouette cookie and small cup of tea. Kudos on customer service and two thumbs way up on the food. We will definitely return.
MESS IN THE ORDER
After years we finally went to a mostly vietnamese restaurant; therefore we ordered a bit random. When the order came, the waiter gave the dish for Mrs.B, to Mr. A. The one for Mrs. B was given to Mrs. A. Later, the waiter came and said that Mr. A has to give the dish to Mrs. B. Finally, Mrs. B got a tofu dish, when she does not like tofu. And Mr.A complained that his beef has been too much time in a soy sauce. At the end the only happy was ME, with my Pho soup.
