Hot soup on a rainy day

By CasualHockeyFan |

My friend and I went here before a meeting in the area. The restaurant is fairly small and we were a little surprised to find there was a wait to get a table. Once seated we ordered quickly from the well laid out menu. We both had Pho, one steak and one steak and brisket. The broth was tasty and the meat of good quality. Even the regular size was more than enough for lunch. If I were back in the area, I'd eat here again.

Wish there were more herbs

By Quang Kiet Le |

Passed by it and decided to make a stop here as we loved to try pho in every country where we visited. The restaurant was small and crowded during lunch time. Service was friendly with great Vietnamese hospitality but a bit slow. The pho broth was yummy, the rare beef was tasty. But we wish there were more herbs served with the pho.

Fresh, tasty, amazing!

By mainereason |

This is my favorite restaurant in Seattle so far. I went for lunch on a Monday with friends who were visiting. I got a fresh spring roll- I love that you can buy just one! Also the rice vermicelli salad with beef. I keep thinking about it. The beef was amazing quality and very tender and no fat. The whole salad was very fresh and huge. I want to go back soon. Just wish they had refilled my Diet Pepsi! Not sure why this isn't more highly ranked?

Cosy, delicious, fresh and great value

By Stephanie2008 |

This is a lovely little restaurant - it feels friendly, welcoming and clean. We came in for lunch on a cold, rainy day, and we felt totally restored afterwards. We had a Vietnamese baguette (very delicious and cheap, about $4), and a vegetarain pho, which was full of good, fresh vegetables, and very tasty. As usual with pho, even the small serving was very big and filling. Service was quick, friendly and courteous. This was the best lunch spot I found during a week long stay in Queen Anne.

Spicy beef broth is the way to go, lots of vegetarian options.

By worktotravel14 |

This was a perfect stop after arriving in Seattle on a chilly rainy day. It's a small place with tables closely placed together. You won't have a lot of small talk with the owners and service, but they will serve you quickly. The menu has a range of Vietnamese food that I would go back and try, but I saw most of the clientele slurping down pho, eating fried rolls and/or enjoying bahn mi. I went with shrimp and pork spring roles which were very crisp and delicious, but also on the oily side. The pho was excellent and didn't even need any other flavoring though there was plenty of hoison, chili sause, siracha, soy sauce and other condiments. I chose the spicy beef broth with fatty flank (superb) and brisket. The regular size was ample and I had almost 2/3rds left after eating my full appetizer. It took the chill away. Just don't sit under the vent that blow. Will be back if I can swing it.

FANTASTIC PHO

By SteelCity13 |

OMGoodness! This place is authentic to the bone. The food was fantastic! They were busy which is always a good sign so be prepared to wait for service, wait for your food, and wait for your check. The food is worth it though! Just enjoy the moment with good food!

Best for less

A simple menu but the food is great and authentic vietnamese. Pho was great, fresh rolls excellent. Curry tasty and huge portions. Loved it!

Great Pho

By Wonderer_QueenB |

Great atmosphere and the pho is amazing. I also had the mango salad which was wonderful. The price was great. It’s worth a stop if you are nearby.

Improve the service!

By Andrea D |

Some language barriers made the service a little bit below average. Besides that I really enjoyed the food and the generous portion. One of the best meal I had in Seattle.

Great value and flavor

By JustinW27 |

The pho was pretty good, and it was served quickly. The banh mi sandwich (grilled pork) was outstanding ... Just watch out for the hidden peppers. Overall a solid valuemand enjoyable flavor feast.

slow lunch service, boring dish.

By Cake_of_Liberty |

The restaurant is quite small and two people were rushing about taking orders and delivering food. They were too busy to notice me, so I finally approached one and asked if I had to wait for a table or could just sit down. They guided me to a table. I ordered the Chicken Curry. The place was busy at lunch time, but since it's a small restaurant, I was surprised that it took over half an hour to get my food. The chicken was unceremoniously set on top of the dish (not cooked together). There was a lot of chicken, but it didn't really have much flavor, so I left about half of it. The curry dish was nothing special, either. I had to eat it in a hurry to get back to my training class. I wouldn’t go back to this restaurant.

Good quality good value meal

By KLWNarara |

Had spring rolls followed by chicken pho and beef pho ... all very fresh and full flavored. Food was as good as we had a few years ago in Vietnam; recommended.

Good White Man Vietnamese Food...

By sinner5 |

My wife and I stopped by since we were on a walk from our hotel. First of all, I love authentic Vietnamese food. I usually eat have Vietnamese soup every week. I saw the menu and all the Pho were very "plain"... Pho with flank, Pho with brisket, Pho with fatty flank, etc... I asked the waiter... "So, do you have tendon and tripe with your Pho?"... like authentic Vietnamese pho should.... He said "No". "So, you only have White Man pho?" I replied. I hate being "The Guy" who asks these questions and comes off as a culinary snob, but I hate it when ethnic restaurants bend over backwards to "not offend" their non-ethnic clientele. There's such an air of phoniness when restaurants resort to that to make their clientele happy. It's like a fine steak house offering kechup just in case the patrons want to use it on their Porterhouse. I ordered the vermicelli bowl with grilled chicken. Chicken breast meat... Most Vietnamese restaurants use dark meat because it's more flavourful and has a higher fat content , which grills better. Maybe it's just an American thing, because they have an obsession with white chicken breast meat... Anyway, another knock against this restaurnant. Third strike, no tea, unless asked. Most Vietnamese restaurants automatically offer jasmine tea or something similar. This one... I had to ask for it... and it was English tea, with a bag. The vermicelli bowl was quite good. It was quite flavourful and the noodles were nice and thick. I wish Tripadvisor had an "authenticity" rating for their restaurants.

Pho Fix

By Heather K |

Very tasty and flavorful soup. Service was very quick and was very close to walking distance of space needle.

Yummy food, great character, good prices and a walk from Seattle center

By Squ1zz |

If you're looking to escape from the craziness of Seattle center for an hour or so for lunch, this is a great spot -especially if you've paid for all day parking and don't want to move your car! A ten minute walk will get you a small character restaurant, 'authentic' decor, and great food. Food is cooked to order so your fried rolls will be crunchy and your grilled chicken hot. A whole lot better than the food court! We had three fried rolls to start ($5). Tasty but on the small side for the price. a large bowl of pho soup, chicken or beef will set you back $8.75. Smaller size also available, and it was large :). Pho came with bean sprouts, basil, lime wedges and there was hoisin and chilli sauce on the table, along with dried chillies in oil. We preferred the beef to the chicken. Grilled chicken with rice ($9?) came with broccoli, carrots and snow peas. Kids loved it, and the fact the server brought chocolates with the bill. Washrooms are small and dark.... There's on street parking outside if you can find a spot.

Outstanding Pho & Spring Rolls

By Bill V |

This small restaurant near the Seattle City Center serves a lot of pho to a lot of happy customers. We had pork/shrimp spring rolls with chicken pho. Both were outstanding. So was the service and the price. If you like pho, drop in and check out Pho Viet Anh. It's worth the effort!

Vegan pho!!!

By Marian B |

I can legit cry happy tears now!! They have a lot of vegetarian dishes here and vegan pho!!! Do you know how hard it is to find this?! I came all the way here just for this vegan pho and it did not disappoint! The broth is so flavorful and it’s filled with snap peas, carrots, broccoli and tofu. Sit outside on a nice day and be around their flowers and mini garden. It’s beautiful! 🌸

Lovely beef Pho, delightful staff, speedy and economical - don't tell anyone else

By petecranston |

Small restaurant, by early evening it was filling up, deservedly. Mainstream Vietnamese food, which means excellent quality, complete with leaves and bean sprouts to go with the Pho. Charming staff, rapid service and remarkably economical: $13.43 for (small) beef pho and pork roll

Great food

By BethM920 |

I ordered takeout having never had Pho before. I loved it! I ordered the mixed meat spicy Pho. Meatballs and steak were good. One of the meats was raw. I didn't eat that. The broth was very spicy and very good. Loved the noodles, bean sprouts, basil, etc. It was only $10 and could have fed more than just me. The young man behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Very good!

Good Vietnamese food and inexpensive

By hwach01 |

found this place on Tripadvisor, Small place, mostly for take out but got room for may be 10 guests. food is quick and authentic and delicious.

Small place but good food

By Lauren R |

I have been here twice and enjoyed the steak and brisket in the beef broth. Both times the food has been consistently good and isn't too expensive of a meal. My husband had the spicy broth and said it was extremely spicy, so if you don't want to sweat, I would stick to the regular broth. The thai ice tea is also great here!

chicken pho and vegetarian pho.

By Lawrance381Rio |

Another good recommendation form the staff of my hotel. Nothing fancy here however the food was excellent. We had the chicken pho and vegetarian pho. Huge portions, so think about sharing, at least in my case. Very nice friendly and inviting staff. Great location. A business partner had the egg rolls and seemed to have a smile the whole time he was consuming them!. I guess they were good?

Great, out of the way, find

By egbertx33 |

Ate in this little, unassuming place after a long and tiring journey. Really delicious, fresh food. Nice service. This is a quiet place, at least it was when we visited. Well worth eating in.

Great, light flavorfull food

By Ken C |

Went in on a whim late walking down Roy Street looking for food. In an area with lots of diversity and choices this was a great selection. Yummy, light fried tofu. Medium spicy was just right balance of fluid with too much burn. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and very little left overs. Thumbs up!

Good pho

By milehimom2013 |

Not extraordinary, but pretty good. The veggies served with the pho were so clean and fresh! Had to ask for additional plates of veggies for the four of us because we initially were given just one little plate. No additional charge for the extra veggies.

Very good Vietnamese restaurant

By trvlrpdx |

Small restaurant with excellent food (very good quality meat) and friendly service. Located at 372 Roy Street, it is close to Key Arena, the Space Needle, and the museums. Highly recommended.

Really good

By Cynthia V |

We were looking for something cheap and just stumbled upon this. Really good inexpensive food and a lot.

Must do if you like pho

By TravelingfromPace |

While in Seattle, we wanted to get some pho. Pho Viet Anh was listed as #1 on tripadvisor for pho and was also close to the space needle, so we gave it a whirl. We arrived around 5:30 on a Friday night. The place was pretty busy and quite small. The pho was wonderful. They only had 2 servers so drink service was a little slow, but the food service was super fast. Within 30 minutes, at least 20 people were waiting to be sat. It was quite reasonably priced as well.

GREAT food, friendly staff

By TaryninSeattle |

They have some of the best noodles & pho in the city! It is a very clean restuarant with great service & a very welcome/ warm feel. The restaurant is very basic, and can be loud at times, but I would suggest this place to anyone. I have found it to be about .50 to a dollar more than another places, but totally worth it. It is very clean, very good & has a great atmosphere.

Best Pho I have ever tasted in my life!

By USAGerman |

We were staying at the Hampton Inn nearby and were out walking when we found this restaurant and ate dinner. Very friendly staff, and honestly this is the best pho I have ever eaten in my entire life!!! We were amazed at the clarity of the broth and the flavor. Unbelievably delicious. I wanted to eat there everyday of our stay! We all had the chicken pho and really loved it. The presentation was lovely and we used the chopsticks with the special spoon. Yum!!! I wish I was in Seattle just to eat this pho!

not what we expected

By superjem |

we went to this restaurant based on the reviews and the fact that we had been to vietnam the year before and loved their food but we definitley didnt get what we thought we would. Firstly, we ordered spring rolls to start - we thought we were going to get hot deep fried spring rolls like we did in vietnam and elsewhere in the world but out came 2 cold pancakes with salad and cold prawns inside. We didnt eat them and either did someone else in the restaurant. We then ordered beef vermicelli expecting a hot noodle based dish and out came a bowl with more cold salad, cold noodles with a few bits of warm beef on top. We also orderd a thai green curry which came out as expected - hot with rice and chicken! We did make a quick exit with a doggy bag that went straight in the bin and went to the supermarket to get some dinner! Not a good experience and we wouldnt go back. The menu needs to be very clear about what is hot and what is cold. It obviously has lots of local regulars who know what they are ordering but for tourists - we wouldnt recommend.

Yum!

By raininroses |

We were staying by the Space Needle, and wanted pho. We found this place. We were, at first, one of a few people here. Once we left, it was very crowded. This is a small place, but it gets loud quick. The food was great, perfect on a cold day. I would come back here again.

Great and simple Vietnamese restaurant

By Colin T |

Saw this on Tripadvisor, an easy 10 minute walk from my hotel. Very simple, small restaurant. Unpretentious, but quite neatly appointed. The spring roll was divine, crunchy, cool, and with a good dipping sauce (love Vietnamese spring rolls, much better than the deep fried oil vessels that are common in other Asian cuisines). The Pho was good - very tasty, quite substantial. Service excellent, the whole experience up there with better experiences at Asian restaurants. Reasonably priced, although quite a bit more than home, once beer factored into it.

One of our neighborhood favorites

By Crafty_Traveler |

Great family owned restaurant with authentic vietnamese food and decor. It isn't fancy but the food is delicious and inexpensive. We also recently sat next Mikhail Baryshnikov who was in town for a show. Nice family runs it.

Good Quick Pho

By highdesertbadger |

Quick service and great pho. The ambiance is nothing special but the prices reflect a lower overhead.

Good food for not much money

By Claire S |

We had a delicious meal for $60 for 6 persons. It was Nice weather thus we could sit in the 'garden'. It was not that far from the Needle.

The food is always excellent and fresh as can be as long as you stick w/ the Pho. Trust me...don't go for the other...

By Kelly P |

The food is always excellent and fresh as can be as long as you stick w/ the Pho. Trust me...don't go for the other dishes. They can still be good, but with the Pho w/ spicy broth you are always GUARANTEED a good meal. Also, don't bother with wine (bad selection/pours). I recommend the Vietnamese 33 export lager if you want an alcoholic beverage. If not, the jasmine tea is a good option. I feel torn about doing this review b/c I like this place so much that I want to keep it to myself and my neighbors....but at the same time they need to be appreciated for what they do. Thanks Henry! (He is a sweetheart!!!)

huge portions, quick service, flavor, flavor, flavor. . .

By mainemattyj |

I ate here during dinner rush on a thursday night. No problem finding me a seat even though the place was jumping. The hand rolled spring rolls are incredible and way bigger than you would expect. Super fresh ingredients, a large bowl of steak pho was more than I had bargained for, but I managed to make room somehow. Fantastic value.

Always pleased, but can be crowded

By RestlessFeet |

Often eat here when in town for events at Seattle Center. Food is fresh, very tasty, reasonably priced. I love the vermicelli noodles dish with lemongrass onions and chicken. Big portion but today I ate every bite. Sometimes take some home. Service can be slow when it is crowded. Don’t expect to be in and out. But who would want to. Enjoy.

Just Ok Pho

By Kim-Marie |

We were staying at the Maxwell a few steps away and Pho Viet Anh was a convenient choice for us. The restaurant was very busy as it was a Saturday morning in the cold December weather. We started off with the "special" roll and I was surprised by the fried wonton. I couldn't decide if I liked it or not but it was definitely different. My husband and I both ordered the beef pho with meatballs. The broth was OK, not bland but not as flavorful as I am accustomed too. Prices were slightly higher than what I was used to paying. Since we got our appetizer and noodle soup at the same time, I ate my roll first. The noodles soaked up some of the broth and I asked for a small bowl of additional broth, JUST BROTH. I was told that it would be an extra charge. I've never been charged for broth before, I thought that was a bit unfair. Service was quick.

Kids say best pho ever

By ArizonaDreaming |

Kids went here without me, and they said it was the best they had ever had and that the service was incredible. Prices very reasonable.

Great, simple, reasonable, yummy

By PunkTraveller |

Was staying in the Maxwell hotel. Decided to give it a try for a sit-down evening meal. Didn't book but they fitted us in. Friendly staff. Fantastic, quick service, fresh delicious food. The young coconut juice is delicious!

We will visit again soon

By allan m |

We were early for the matinee at the opera, and just wanted a quick bite. But, we were delighted to experience good healthy Vietnamese food and friendly service - we will visit this restaurant again soon.

Good food, pleasant vibe.

By jdoly |

This is a pleasant Vietnamese restaurant with a nice neighborhood feel. The Pho, spring rolls and salads are great and reasonably priced. The service is fast and friendly. And my favorite part is they have Vietnamese beer which is often hard to find. It's a great place to go before an event at the Seattle Center.

Dinner

By Susan K |

Great service. Delicious vegan pho and mango salad. Would recommend especially for vegan/vegetarians. They also had plenty of meat options as well.

Beef brisket pho is really good

By DFWSteve |

Stopped by for lunch, ordered the steak/brisket pho. Just the right amount of savory spice in the broth. Garnish included bean sprouts, basil and jalapeno. No cilantro, however. Not sa fancy place at all. I sat outside on the small patio.

Great Pho

By Joe L |

Stayed at the Maxwell hotel last week and was craving pho. After walking by one evening and seeing the crowded restaurant I thought I'd give it a try. I must say i was very pleasantly surprised. I checked the reviews before eating of course and there were mixed reviews regarding the food and service. To my surprise the pho was not only really good but plentiful. I ordered the large bowl of combo pho, the broth was good and there was plenty of meat. We also ordered the spring rolls and those were ok, i would have liked to see some mint and pork with the shrimp but it was still ok. The Vietnamese coffee was ok and the service was just fine. Next time I'm in Seattle I'd definitely come back for the Pho. The value was good for the size of bowl I received. My only complaint is that it doesn't open till 11am. Would love to have been able to come down there for a hot bowl of pho for breakfast :)

As good as it gets

By vinnievinny |

Very good pho and bun. Absolutely delicious. The curry is not bad either. We really like it. Very close to Space Needle.

Cozy! Delicious!

By Karen R |

My kids and I were staying a block away and so we popped in for dinner. So cute and cozy inside! The service was very friendly and prompt and the food was delicious! We will go back the next time we visit Seattle!

Best pho in Seattle

By travelingrm |

Recommended by a Seattle native as her favorite Pho restaurant in town. We tried it on Friday after spending the day walking around the Pike's Market, The Gold Rush Historic site and Seattle Center. The spring rolls were so fresh tasting and delicious. the pho was a delicious rich broth filled with vegetables and steak. My husband tried pho with tofu and vegetables. To the pho, we added bean sprouts, basil and a bit of jalapeño. It was a perfect ending to a cool cloudy day.

Best pho ever for me

By Peter Q |

I have been to this restaurant at least 5 times in 3 trips to Seattle. Simple and small restaurant 5mins walk from the Maxwell Hotel along Roy Street. Menu is simple but any foodie going there knows what they are great for. Pho with steak - thinly sliced beef and the stock is so so awesome! A small serving should be enough for Asians as they are really generous with their portions. Try the roll with grilled pork as well - it is delicious with the peanut sauce. Pho plus the roll will cost about $13-15, good value. It's a small place, probably can sit no more than 30, so be there early for lunch or dinner!

Really good.

By Paul K |

I went here on a nice damp rainy day and had a bowl of PHO. You have a choice of large or small. I love my food so I ordered the large. It was HUGE. And really good. It was just what I needed. Nice people. Very convenient.

Good Food

By Picture468 |

Great Viet. Food . Staff very friendly. Ambience is just plain and basic...... Very busy. No tables at 6.30 pm Sunday. Only a short wait then ready. Noodles and broth very tasty . I had chicken and vermacelli .

Quick meal a short distance from the needle

By slothstravel |

We stopped by for dinner before the fireworks on 4th of July. The restaurant was clean and service was quick. I enjoyed their steak pho. It was tasty and piping hot! My brother had the pork and noodles with spring rolls. It was tasty as well and much larger than the soup. Highly recommended place if you're craving some Vietnamese food in Seattle.

Good flavorful meal

By Andrea S |

My husband really wanted Vietnamese and we were at Chihuly so I looked up Vietnamese and found this place close by. We started with the fried vegetarian rolls and they were delicious! My husband ordered the 2.2 (beef pho) and I ordered the 4.5 (lemongrass pork vermicelli noodles). My husband rated the pho as the 3rd best he's had and I would say the lemongrass pork is one of the better Vietnamese meals I have had. The decor is really lacking inside that's for sure, but the outside is cute and the wait staff is very friendly. Worth the stop!

Perfect pho on a chilly day

By Amerikanac i Hrvat |

I always enjoyed this restaurant at its former Lower Queen Anne (Uptown) venue, so I decided to try their relocated Belltown location. It was noon, but I was seated right away. I had the crispy pork and shrimp rolls, very good. (An adjoining table had the shrimp spring rolls, which also looked really good.) The beef pho with brisket was perfect. The broth had just the right amount of cinnamon and star anise flavor, the brisket was thin, lean, and tender, and the vermicelli rice noodles were perfect. Notably, when I walked in, I was the only non-Vietnamese patron, which probably says something about the place. On street parking is about the only option if you're driving, but I found a spot about a block away. Highly recommended!

Perfect!

By Isobel Rose |

The food was amazing! We enjoyed the noodles which were large portions of goodness! Finished every last mouthful! For such a reasonable price also, hardly anything over $20. Service was amazing and very fast. Overall very pleased and will come back !

Great food but the servers kicked us out at 9 on a Friday night so they could catch a bus home.

By TheImpatientTraveler |

Great food but the servers kicked us out at 9 on a Friday night so they could catch a bus home. The food was average.

PHO-to-matic

By Wanderlust Awe Syndrome Phenomenon |

I am a BIG Pho fan. I try to have Pho whenever the opportunity presents itself. During my family visit to Seattle, we had the wonderful opportunity to find this place. Tripadvisor informed me of this place; it was conveniently located near the Space Needle. We went inside and greeted. Because it was a beautiful Seattle day, we decided to sit outside. The restaurant's patio is small and cramp. I felt like my server was taking my family and me to sit near the trash dumpster. Even so, we found our seats to be good. We ordered our food. Knowing how big our dishes would be, I decided to share with my smaller daughter. My older daughter got the meatball Pho. As for me, I ordered Pho with chicken, shrimp, and EXTRA Vietnamese noodles. When our dishes came out, everything was very delicious. I could tell that the noodles were hand made, My older daughter enjoyed her meatball Pho. Our meals were plentiful, delicious, and inexpensive. Overall, our meal experience was very pleasant and joyable!

Really Good and Tasty

By BabarDhaka |

A Vietnamese restaurant serving genuine Vietnamese food. Service was good, food freshly cooked and advice given with honesty. Portions are large so be careful when ordering more than one dish. A family restaurant that takes pride in what they serve and how they serve. Highly recommended!!!

A highlight

This restaurant is fantastic. I love the pho and the spring rolls. Service is prompt and the food delicious.

PHO makes me happy and alive

By Travel2Food |

Phovietanh.com/Seattle WA - If you're near the Queen Ann/Seattle neighborhood, the smell of Pho will lure you here. I can smell it from 2 blocks away, hungry or not. We’ve tried it and it’ll be a tough decision when we’re near there again; so many good restaurants in Seattle. My gage is based on the Pho Special, the exotic – as the American sees it. All the restaurants, all my travel, the Special is the meter. If they can do this well, then the other pho should be easy. They’ve earned their name as "Pho", to represent Vietnamese cuisine. Good finding & eating y'all. 4 stars

food for thought

By Muggy61 |

enough food to fill your belly at reasonable prices, the taste was refreshing with a lot of colours on the plate.

Cozy restaurant with meals packed with lots of spices

By blacktryst |

It is a small cozy vietnamese restaurant offering delicious standard vietnamese meals. I had the lemongrass pork pho that is just packed full of aromatic spices that the flavour just explodes in your mouth!

Pricey for Pho, but excellent and huge portions

By sharalDc |

Wow! Great pho - We sampled lots from the menu - the spring rolls were huge and a favorite with our group. The noodle bowl could have fed 4. Excellent food at a neighborhood place. The prices were similar to DC with our lunch costing about 14 a person - but the portions were at least double what I have gotten in other Pho places. Right near the Maxwell, so drop in if you stay nearby.

Quick and good food

By Loracmom2boys |

We walked here from the Hampton Inn. The meal was quite good. Ordered Pho, curry chicken, short ribs, home style chicken, vegetable spring rolls, Rice wrapped shrimp rolls. All was good. They lost power twice during our meal. Gave a new meaning to ambiance. Worth a try if nearby

Great place and great value for Pho

By jooksing |

I went here twice while I was in Seattle. The prices are great and the food was excellent

Love it!

By Travis S |

We spent a week in seattle, and ate here four meals. Hot and spicy pho or lemon grass prawns were our meals of choice. The spring rolls are bug, and excellent. You cant go wrong with a stop at Pho Viet Ahn.

We were looking at a good Asian food nearby hotel and found this. Very good chicken curry, worth the money. Was about 10 dollars and very tasty. Would recommend!

So good!

By KimChaos99 |

Went for a late lunch/early dinner, and sat out on the patio. Rice paper wrapper special roll was fantastic, and I loved the steak pho, with veggies added. Tiger beer went with all. It was a great post travel meal on a sunny afternoon. Definitely on the list of return places.

love it (eat here three times)

By mark94086 |

We stayed in Seattle for four nights and eat here three times. The food here was great just a little more expensive that what we usually pay (maybe $2 a plate). We had two dinners and the take out sandwich for the trip home. Some of the best Pho we have ever had (we are from San Jose) and we eat Pho probably twice a month.

Great small restaurant

By tothemorning |

The service and food is wonderful, and the food came very quickly. The basil in the spring rolls was so fresh! It is a small restaurant, so plan ahead if you have a larger group. We are very happy with the service—very friendly! We would definitely return to this restaurant!

Good choice.

By Carol |

On a cold and rainy day, this was the perfect choice. Close to our hotel and a delicious bowl of pho.

Great Pho, Good Prices

By kirkmckinley |

Pho is excellent as are the vermicelli dishes. they have outside dining in the summer. close to events at seattle center, so you can eat before you watch.

Pho sure- one of the best bowls of Pho I've had in the states!

By Michelle H |

I had a craving for some authentic Vietnamese Pho on a recent trip to Seattle. There is an abundance of options for asian food and plenty of pho shops all around so I had to do a little internet research before settling on Pho Viet Anh. The reviews looked promising and I was intrigued by the options for different kinds of broth. The atmosphere is what I would expect in an authentic Vietnamese restaurant-comfy and colorful walls with lots of "interesting" art along with the standard mother of pearl inlaid panels. There were plenty of tables and an unusually high amount of security cameras which I thought was kind of funny. Service was very quick, accommodating and very friendly. I loved that you could choose from 4 varieties of broth (I chose the hot and spicy) along with either a small or large bowl size then you would choose what you wanted in your Pho. I went with the steak (my favorite) and requested extra lime on the side. The kids loved that they could order extra noodles for their soup which they took advantage of. In addition to the Pho, I also had the prawn spring roll- it was much bigger than I expected which was a pleasant surprise. Ingredients were very fresh and delicious- but pretty typical as far as spring rolls go. There was some kind of crispy fried wonton or something i the center of the roll which was a nice surprise for a touch of crunch that I haven't seen in spring rolls before. It was definitely a satisfying appetizer. The Pho was excellent. The hot and spicy soup broth was delicious, with a touch of sweetness that went really well with the rare steak. I didn't think I was hungry enough to eat the whole bowl (I ordered a large) but it was so good I couldn't stop myself. It came with a standard side of mung bean sprouts, thai basil, fresh sliced jalapeno pepper and lime slices. The extra lime I had requested was also provided along with frequently refilled big glasses of water. By the end of the meal I was a seriously happy camper. I would say this was some of the best Pho I've ever had in the states. I would absolutely come back again and if you like Pho, would highly recommend you plan to come here.

Best Pho in a long time

By Don C. |

I decided to get take out because it was nearing 8:30 and I wasn't that hungry yet. I ordered to spicy beef combo pho. When I got back to hotel I opened it and found they had poured the broth into a plastic container and the rest of the ingredients were separate. I thought WHAT A GREAT IDEA. It keeps the noodles from overcooking and becoming soggy. Maybe other places do this also(I've never order pho for take out). Our suite had a full kitchen so I was able to reheat the broth and then add the ingredients. I WAS IN HEAVEN.

Tasty pho, bun, and salads

By drgizmo |

I've eaten here multiple times when staying on Roy St for work trips. Enjoyed the pho ga, bun, and the mango salad with grilled chicken is quite tasty. Small (and thus could be cramped on a busy night), but that's okay for me as I really enjoy the food.

Ok

By BLMerce |

Charming inside. Nice menu, but it was hard to find low salt items so I had a mango salad without dressing. Mangoes weren’t very ripe and without the dressing it was lower in calories. My friend enjoyed her Pho

OK for lunch, very quick service, large portions

By C G |

The Tofu fried rice dish was very tasty however the salad was all cabbage, very large portions for lunch.

Best Pho ever!

By Flamingo4u |

This was the best pho I’ve ever had. My whole family was able to enjoy this outstanding food. They gave us a lot of pho and 1 bowl was shareable between 2 people. We added extra noodles and meat. It was a small space but phenomenal service.

We tried it once

By Ben M |

My wife and I saw a new Pho restaurant on Roosevelt Way in Seattle, just before 65th St. We decided to give it a try. I ordered pork with rice noodles and my wife ordered pho with beef. We started with some fried spring rolls. The spring rolls were tasteless which was a bad start of the meal. My pork dish was OK, but not great. The pork was fatty and stringy. The rice noodles were fine. My wife's pho had a broth that was not very tasty and she did not like the beef very much. With a large selection of pho restaurants in Seattle, we know we can do better and we will

Pho was good appetizer was not

By Amit N |

Pho was really good, but a appetizer we ordered had too much oil in it. For appetizer we ordered spring rolls We may go there again.

Perfect lunch stop before visiting Chihuly.

By crherbert |

Great Pho before going to the extraordinary Chihuly glass and garden exhibition. Good flavours with steak, brisket, shrimp, tendon and fatty flank.

Tasty broth and large portions hit the spot!

By FOTMM |

Stopped in for lunch on the weekend. We were seated right away and service was friendly and efficient. For those that enjoy Pho, this place has numbers on the tables and the menus, which is often associated with an authentic experience, and Pho Viet Anh did not disappoint. We enjoyed the steak pho and brisket pho with Thai basil and sprouts. Both were delicious and we left with full bellies.

The chicken pho was awesome!

By Ric_Chattanooga |

All the food our party ate was excellent. When we come back to Seattle, we will be back. We had chicken pho and vegetarian pho and they were all delicious and plentiful. None of us were able to totally finish. I also had an incredible spring roll.

Excellent pho!

By ashmphi |

We went for dinner while visiting Seattle and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Friendly service and great food. We started with the summer roll and then had the beef and brisket pho and the combo pho. The summer rolls were very good. The pho had the delicate by rich flavor that makes it such a wonderful dish. We sat outside and had a great time.

Nice change

By Westport76 |

Solid Vietnamese food, and nothing pretentious. This small restaurant has a very pleasant interior. Pho and curry dishes were tasty. Service was prompt during a slow period in early afternoon. Staying nearby, and a short walk from the Space Needle, it was nice to have this as a convenient option.

Great take out!

By Travis S |

We had lemongrass prawn and onion noodles, and chicken curry. The orders are large, and reasonably priced. We will be back later this week for Pho.

Fabulous pho!

By elesem |

We read great reviews for this place and thought we'd give it a try. It was within walking distance of the EMP museum where we'd spent the morning. My sons ordered the spicy beef broth pho and LOVED it. Beware, spicy means spicy. I had a lighter noodle dish that I can't remember the name of, but it was great too. Friendly staff, comfy, funky atmosphere. The price was perfect.

Delicious noodle soup

I loved this little restaurant on Roy Street. I just dropped in for lunch and was warmly welcomed. The food was fantastic and the price couldn't be beat. Great little place.

Giant Bowl Of Good

By Noezpleaser |

I am no Pho expert. This is only my 2nd time but it met any expectation my lack of experience could have. Husband & I ordered "Combo," or pho dac biet. Enormous bowl of broth u could take a bath in filled with a meat combo of steak, brisket, fatty flank, & meatballs; add noodles, onions, green onions, and cilantro. I enjoyed adding to the madness by tossing in the Thai basil, sprouts, and lime wedges served on the side. Filling and delicious comfort that neither of us could finish. Place was cute, clean, a street-side view from our table, with staff that was quietly friendly.

Wonderful array of Vietnamese cuisine

By Diamond Feit |

We came here as a family and ended up ordering all over the menu - some items were shared, others were made for kids, meanwhile I got a bahn mi for myself because I really wanted one. The waiter managed to get it all right without writing anything down and it was all delicious (especially my bahn mi). My kids - who do not often eat Vietnamese - had a terrific time and managed to eat nearly everything on their plates which is remarkable for them. We also sat outside on the terrace which was nice until a bee became very interested in us and our food but I can't hold that against the restaurant because hey, maybe the person reading this review LIKES bees.

Nice neighborhood Vietnamese spot

By Steven T |

This place has been in the same small spot for several years and has changed ownership recently. I actually prefer the old ownership as they had larger portions. The new ownership is not bad, don’t get me wrong. I go here fairly often because it’s much closer to where I live than Vietnamese places in Little Saigon. Their menu reads a bit differently than what you might find in Little Saigon. Their descriptions of dishes are a bit more Americanized. However, their dishes are fairly authentic. They feature all your basic Vietnamese dishes including bun, spring rolls, stir fries, rice dishes and pho. They’re a great place for takeout and they do a lot of takeout. Thus, they know how to package for takeout (even pho). Getting pho for takeout is often a risky venture due to poor soup packaging in my experience but this place packages their soup broth in air tight containers.

Small neighborhood restaurant

Pretty good restaurant--not pretentious, and offering a reasonably wide range of choices. The wait staff was attentive and prompt and the food was exactly what one would expect snd hope for.

Probably not the best place to try Vietnamese food for the first time

By TravelsWithGeorge |

We were in Seattle on vacation recently and this was one of several restaurants within easy walking distance. As we had never tried Vietnamese food before we decided to give it a try. I can't say how the food compares to other Vietnamese restaurants since I've never had any. However, if I try it again it will likely be at a different restaurant. After we sat down, the power to the building went out, apparently because the air conditioner. This made me concerned about whether the building itself is up to code. Then, they asked if we could use chopsticks as they hadn't had time to do all the dishes. As we are not used to chopsticks, they brought out plastic forks! Oh, and the power went out two more times while we were eating. I had a chicken dish with rice noodles. The food was good enough but I don't have anything to compare it to. I will say I didn't like it as much as Thai food that I have had several times. I didn't like the sauces that came with the food, but that may just be my personal taste. If I am back in Seattle again, I am likely to go to the Thai place across the street, as suggested by our hotel!

Just average.

By Rudawianki |

Curry with prawns without taste, too much noodle, to little anything else. Chicken curry with rice a little better but also nothing special. Small choice of beverages, good coconut juice. Very, VERY ugly interior and 'garden'. Old chairs, fake, dirty flowers, some plastic bottles, yuk... Service without atention. Prices nice, but why bother anyway?

Down hill...

By _tomnguyen001 |

We used to come here when we are around downtown Seattle. We just came back from two Pho crawls and now, our opinion has changed substantially. First the broth (most important criteria) is too sweet. Meat cuts (we had their Xe Lua) is just average.. example - two 1/4 meatballs.... Tiny amount of condiments - served on the plate where they serve the bowl. The only truly positive component is the noodles. Nice and chewy. That is about it...

Delicious food - quaint restaurant

By Carina A |

Excellent food, good quality, fresh and tasty - really hit the spot after a long day at the zoo. Friendly efficient staff.

great pho

By zcarlady |

i love pho and they have it it was really tasty and hot and ready for my taste buds to dance with happyiess

Enjoyable eating experience

By Mahoo95 |

Weekday lunch time is busy, but tables were available...service was quick and friendly...food was very tasty...we had a bowl of beef noodles (pho) and the short ribs with rice vermicelli...beef in the noodles very nice and the short ribs were excellent. I love noodles and could have used a few more noodles in my soup, but the portion of beef was very reasonable. If you are in the theater district and looking for something light, I would highly recommend Pho Viet Anh for some noodles

Pho to go

By 913Kiki28 |

Best Pho we've had in a long time! Friendly people and tasty food!

Great find

By jimbelenis |

You go here for the Pho not the fast service. Family run place. It was buzy for a Sunday night (small). They had a bunch of people also getting take out. The large Pho bowl is really a lot of food. I had the steak and meatball. The teens with me liked the Curry Chicken with rice. We all had the prawn spring roll. Very tasty.

Very attentive staff, great food

By Linkup |

It's a tiny restaurant, but nice atmosphere and a family feel. The food was great, and more than we could eat.

Best Pho. Best Price.

By lbrookesbee |

It looks like I'll have to travel across the country to ever have great pho again - because I haven't had any like I did here! I got a huge bowl of pho, and a beef rice wrap roll that was amazing. The peanut sauce was delicious. Everything was so good, and I seriously miss it almost every other day. Super budget friendly. My huge bowl of soup was $10 and the roll was around $3. Can't beat that, especially for the taste. The atmosphere is also really nice. There are beautiful umbrellas and decor hanging from the ceiling. A must on your list if you're hitting Seattle!

Pleasant, close to theater and music

By Priscilla W |

Liked the menu selection, rolls excellent, fair pricing, definitely not dumbed down for American eaters, fairly clean, service good

Yummy Pho

By Shibumi365 |

Traveld to Seattle for a business meeting and actually ate here twice it was so good. Service is great and the food is good too.

Great service, pho, spring rolls, sandwiches

By jay r |

We ate here twice in 3 days in seattle. Food was good, affordable and service was quick. Place is small and was full both times we came but we got served quickly. A must stop when it's cold out.

Tasty pho

By Judy R |

Very good Vietnamese . Fun decor, though a bit cluttered. Good location. Friendly service. Good portion sizes. Seems like they closed early, though.

Terrific Pho in Queen Anne!

By 436marcys |

This is our go-to Pho experience when the weather turns cold and nasty and we need something warm in our tummies. The Spicy Beef Pho is amazing - and spicy. And the traditional steak and meatball pho is fantastic (if you don't want all that spice). Could use a few more meatballs, but they're generous with the steak. They never skimp on the fixings, including noodles, basil, sprouts, lime, cilantro, onions and jalapenos. This is an inexpensive, speedy and tasty treat.

Surprised

By Geir_Alesund_Norway |

Did not know what to expect but Tripadvisor reviews were good so we decided to try. We can only recommend the place. Excellent service, excellent food at reasonable prices in a charming location in walking distance from Space Needle

Lunch

We stopped in for lunch and the food was out in under 10 mins. Spicy broth was great with steak. Can't go wrong if you like heat.

Delicious Vietnamese iced coffee and pho!

By Rachel G |

My sister and I loved this little place on Roy Street! I had a shrimp pho with vegetarian broth, and my sister had spicy beef broth with tofu and vegetables. Both were very tasty, and while I enjoyed my hot tea (free with the purchase of food!), my sister’s Vietnamese iced coffee was DELICIOUS. We would love to come back to this place with more of our family. We loved it!

Wanted the best and found it

By Blair M |

We love good pho so we asked some locals that are big foodies and they recommended this! It was absolutely wonderful! Did not disappoint! The menu was much more simple than we were used to but the food was wonderful.

Vietnam in the US

Wow, good food, great prices and the PHO is to die for.

Best value on our trip

By MariahOR |

Ordered chicken curry to go Sunday evening. Tons of great food. Only disappointments were low number of snow peas and plastic silverware. Even my husband who hates curry thought it was OK. Returned for dinner Monday. Son and I both had pho. Chicken and veggies smalls were both big and delicious. Maybe more herbs would be good. I was able to feed my daughter rice, meat and vegetables - a great break from burgers, fries and the like while on vacation. I would eat here again in a heartbeat, and judging by people around me, lots of others would agree. Don't miss this hole in the wall! Kind and courteous staff too.

Authentic Vietnamese food

By JuneJo |

Very happy to find this place next to our hotel. Authentic Vietnamese food, in good price. Even my picky eater ate some!

Worth it!

By Canucksontheloose |

This small restaurant is north of the Seattle Centre/ Pacific Science Centre/ Chihuly Glass & Garden/ Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation/ Monorail/ Museum of Pop Culture. We arrived 5:30 on a Sunday evening in December and there was already a wait line of 2 groups in front of us. We were asked if we wanted to split up our party of 4 to be seated faster so we did. The pho soups were winners with my kids (picky eaters!) and I had the cold vermicelli plate with grilled pork for $11.75 (average cost of dishes at resto). Very tasty albeit some of the meat was overgrilled. Big portions, quick and kind service. No MSG in food. Washrooms are not wheelchair accessible (some stairs). A nice, humble establishment that we would definitely recommend.

Not a fan

By amdock |

Family dinner for four. We ordered two appetizers and pho. The appetizers never came and we weren’t charged for them. The pho broth was sweet. Have eaten at dozens of pho restaurants and never gotten sweet broth. Not a fan. The restaurant was very dusty and unclean. On the plus side, service was excellent. Odd this place is so highly rated on Trip Adviser and we were the only diners there at 5 pm on a Saturday.

Did the trick

By Michele Q |

Would say this was more of a 3.5. I had a great meal here - broth was tasty! A little on the pricier side and the addition of tendon, tripe, etc. came at an extra cost. A couple of recommendations, I was surprised when I opened up the menu and everything listed in English. I would have hoped to see the names of the dishes in Vietnamese. Also, it seems that the restaurant was a little short staffed. I came in on a Sunday afternoon and yes, there were patrons but it took about 15 minutes before 1 of the 2 servers came around to take my order.

Delicious Pho!

By Laura R |

We have eaten here quite a few times over the past few years, most recently April 2017. The service is fast and the pho is great. My favorite is the Steak Pho. And for most, you only need a "small", as it's quite a large bowl and try filling.
