Quick. Easy. Delicious. But not special.

By AUROBINDO S |

We stopped here on our way to the airport. It was delicious. The portions are large. The service is friendly. The ambiance is just strip mall standard. The food is pretty good but is lacking that oomph that Thai food can have. Fix that and I'd go back here in a hurry.

Excellent Pho

By Michael C |

We usually stick to the morthwest side of San Antonio when we visit. Unfortunately, the area is not filled with great restaurants. We had never been to Pho Win before, and were delighted to find that it is a true hidden gem. My wife and I both know and love superior Vietnamese food, having lived in Houston for many years. I can say that the pho at Pho Win is right up there with the best. Most will know that great pho is based on its stock, and Pho Win's tastes as though it's made properly by simmering beef bones for many hours. To top it all off, they deliver real value for money. Definitely our new favorite Asian restaurant when we head to the big city.

Sunday eating

Food was decent. Nice that it was open on a Sunday. Service was great. My son did not love the orange chicken but who knows someone else might love it.

High-quality Delicious Food

Excellent menu choices and high-quality delicious food. This is what Chinese food should taste like. Service was prompt and courteous and the atmosphere was slightly upscale but still very comfortable. We enjoy eating when in San Antonio.

Quick easy delicious lunch

We were looking for a Thai restaurant for lunch on a Monday. Many are closed on Monday so we found this place near our home no less. It is in a small strip center with the usual full glass windows with little atmosphere but we were here for a quick lunch. We arrived and the restaurant was maybe a quarter full so we were quickly recognized and seated. Menus were given and drink order taken. The drinks came before we had barely opened the menus so we had to ask them to come back later. I decided on the shrimp yellow curry and my partner had the pad thai. We found out you are suppose to use the designation so we had the T1 and T4. They were courteous about it. The food came fairly quick. The T4 was really good curry with quite a number of medium sized shrimp tail on in the curry sauce served with white rice. The shrimp were well prepared and the curry was quite good but I have had better. The T1 was very good tasting as well as being plentiful. My partner had to take some of it home. I noticed that the booth next to us where an older couple sat took food home as well. The waitstaff came by our table several times each time with a pitcher of ice tea keeping our glasses full. They were friendly and helpful as a whole. If you are looking for atmosphere this is not the place but if you want good food, inexpensive and served promptly, here is where you need to consider. The sign on the door required masks and the staff wore them. They had a sign at the entrance and a bottle to clean your hands but did not practice social distancing. We both have been vaccinated.

Came for the Pho

By Something Tookish |

Always looking for good pho and found some here. The interior is wide open seating with a glass front wall. Service was prompt and the price was reasonable. The pho came with all the right sides to add into the pho. Of course it is all about the broth, and with a little salt I was quite pleased. I would return here. This is part of a strip mall with parking out front.

Delicious Variety

This is a neighborhood Asian restaurant that specializes in Pho Vietnamese noodle soup, but has a nice varied menu. The small restaurant is neat and clean and service is prompt and friendly. Menu includes a good list of appetizers, steam rice plates, rice noodle soup, salads, fried rice, beef noodle soup, stir fried egg noodles, egg noodle soup, rice vermicelli, vegetarian meals, also chinese and thai entrees and house specialties. There is a lot to try here and a lot to like. Staff is well versed concerning describing the many dishes.

Nice clean

Our first stop. Was quite pleased with the Pho. Excellent broth. Good sized bowl but for me I like the rice noodles a lot. When I come back I'll get the large bowl. BTW the standard one is quite large. The food came very fast. Waiter chkd on us several times. Good service. As I said before it looks clean. I noticed a good number of Asian folks came in for lunch while we were there. Certainly not a bad sign. The menu had me concerned that I'd might have made a bad choice. It has a kinda "we do it all" claim on the menu. I have found that to generally be so much BS. My wife had vegetables in garlic sauce, "Chinese, I think" I had Pho, Vietnamese. We both liked our meals very much and we would definitely recommend it and return ourselves. So can they do it all? I don't know, yet. It's not a brag if you can really jump over the building.

Win with Pho

By David A |

Great flavors. I had a noodle bowl with delicious beef, super fresh vegetables and an egg roll. My wife had pho with beef. One of the very few times she ate it all and didn't share. Having lived and traveled in Asia for seven years, we are pretty picky. They are authentic. Staff is very polite and attentive.

Delicious

I just found haven. I have been visiting this establishment on several occasions and never once disappointed. I always request the Pho Combination dish. Just yummy. Staff is a little shy but courteous. Price is perfect. I highly recommend dining at this establishment. Service is quick and precise.

Very tasty but could be cleaner

By Samuraigolfer |

Really good spring rolls, BBQ pork rice and a huge menu is great. Wish the place was clean and neat! Messy decor and smudgy walls and a TV playing ... Ugh.

Nice food, lousy atmosphere.

We enjoyed the food with nice choices for vegans. The atmosphere is dismal. Would recommend for the food but no reason to hang out here for very long.

So tastey!

Great food! Ate chicken dumplings, vegetables pho, beef stew pho and noodles with chicken. All special request were fulfilled. Food was amazing! Not even one complaint from my kids! Service was perfect too. Prices are more than reasonable and portions are good. I recommend this place if you love Asian food

Tried a new Vietnamese restaurant today with some friends and the wife. Had Bom bah wai I think that's how you spell it, sorry if it's wrong. Any ways wife had Chinese Mongolian Beef and friend had seafood pad Thai was very good. We will be back to try more stuff. Also had tofu spring roll very delicious and I'm not really into tofu.
