We went to this gem of a restaurant last night with friends. Food is EXCELLENT. We had the mixed grill with hummus, babganoush, rice, tabbouli. It was so good, we ordered another 1/2 mixed grill with fattoush and hummus and of course ordered baklava. The service was excellent! Have not had food this good since we lived overseas.

Our business team stopped by here after a full day of training. The staff was friendly and greeted us right away. They were attentive and kept the drinks filled. The food was very good. Generous portions. Everyone in the party was happy with their meals. Next business trip to Austin, we will definitely stop in again.

By far an outstanding place for food and even to sit and enjoy the music while eating. I took the group of friends to it and they all loved it .... the appetizer was so unique and authentic ... and the food was so delicious, the owners are working by themselves , so far best thing in Austin... definitely will visit again.

By far the most authentic middle eastern food I've had in a very long time! 5 stars! I think it was the owner who is serving me, I went at a very weird time. Either way, the service and food was top-notch! I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Loved this place ! My kids loved the food and the service was exceptional !! So many De'lish items so don't be afraid to try something new !!!!!

I thought the food was a little unexciting but it tasted fine. It's definitely more of a "cafe" and less of a restaurant so depending on your occasion that's something to keep in mind

The owner is great and friendly. The food is simply delicious with big portions. Great location and ambiance. My family loved it!!

Excellent and friendly service with good food and reasonable prices. My daughter wanted Lebanese’s food after moving to Austin to attend UT. The location is a walking distance from west campus. We gave it a try and I loved the food so when the whole family came back two weeks later, we went back twice and we all enjoyed it. Excellent hummus and tabule. Very good kibbe. The mixed grill plate is excellent. They use good quality meat. The lamb and the beef kofta are excellent. The chicken shawarma is tasty .They serve delicious fresh bread. The wine is reasonably priced. I highly recommend .

The service was good. I had the Lamb Kabob Dinner. the meal was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Would definitely eat there again.

Lovely Mediterranean food!!!! We found this place by accident , but were so delighted. Worth the stop!! The owner was so sweet with letting us try different meats. He also brought out water melon for us to have for dessert.

I Love it. Good food, friendly Staff. Good choices on the menu, the portions are smaller that what you expect at a Lebanese Restaurant. I'll be visiting again next time I'm in Austin

We were waiting for our room to be made ready at a nearby hotel when we decided to pop in for lunch. It is in kind of an odd location, but I'm so glad we stopped. The service was great, the facility was clean and the food was great. We had the falafel sandwich and the chicken shawarma plate, with Greek salads and hummus. The portions were generous, you won't leave hungry. I also had a very good Lebanese coffee. I'd definitely return- the menu wasn't huge- but there were many other items that I'd like to try.

This is a quaint restaurant that is good for seating large groups. For a romantic evening, I would not recommend it because the seating is all open with no privacy. There is a bar counter along the wall, but no option to sit at an actual bar. The wine menu left much to be desired due to a lack of cultural options. I enjoyed a veggie combo plate - which was very good. I also had fried cauliflower which was okay but very, very greasy.

Had beef tenderloin plate and chicken shish tawook. Both very juicy, and spiced/flavored well. The plates came with two sides each and we had hummus (great olive oil!) and baba ganoosh and Greek salads. All had quality ingredients. Best, most unexpected, dinner in Austin so far! Give it a try!

Another shot in the dark restaurant while on our Austin trip. Parking was iffy, service was a little confusing (think one waitress was brand new), but the food made it all worth it. Definitely will be a return visit next time in Austin.

Best tasting hummus I've had in a looong time. Great service and the food was just delicious. Will definitely come back.

We unexpectedly found this restaurant on a business trip. Excellent falafel, Kafka, kabobs. Only downside is parking

Great food & outstanding service. The owner (I assumed) was very professional & guest oriented.. took the time to explain the food which was very evident in the great food quality & awesome flavor. Thank you Sir!

Some of the best lamb meat I've ever had! Flavored perfectly with herbs and spices and super moist. Usually when I order a lamb kabob it's dry, not here, it was excellent. My side of baba ganoush was so fresh tasting, like they made it that day. The meal was truly wonderful. The ambiance is also very relaxing with low volume music playing in the background that's not disturbing to regular conversation. If I lived here this would be a regular stop for me. The Service that day was super slow but they were down two servers so it should not be the case for other patrons.

It's tucked away on the edge of IH35 near some construction and backs up to Rainey Street, so maybe that's why this place is never crowded. It stays open relatively late considering every where in Austin closes at 9pm. The food is amazing and consistent--love the gyro plate and the appetizer sampler. Service is always friendly and expedient.

This place is by far the best in the Austin area for Lebanese food; probably the best ever in this city. All their entries are delicious and the service is superb. We met for a large group and everyone enjoyed their food. Their mezza option allows you to taste several dishes and they are all good!

We were welcomed with warmth and graciousness.each time we have gone. Every time we go we try something new along with an old favorite. We have never been disappointed. It has become one of our go to places. I can't wait until the next time. An absolute must !

Let me start by saying this place has some of the best falafel we ever had. Great atmosphere and wonderful people. Our food was fantastic. Next time we're in Austin we will definitely dine here again.

Our son attend college in town and wanted authentic Mediterranean; this place has it! Very good food and service. We had hummus, Phoenician Eggplant, potatoes and chicken kabobs. We would have had more variety if we could have eaten it.. it was just too much food.

We are big Mediterranean food fans and this place is amazing. I haven’t had one dish I didn’t like here. We order for pickup regularly.

we have been looking for good Mediterranean food in austin finally we found it , amazing food family own .

We had a family dinner & all ordered mixed grill. The kebabs were tender & flavorful. The service was attentive. The restaurant was a bit noisy for conversation

Stopped at the Phoenician for lunch on Saturday. Very pleasant experience. Very attentive staff and more importantly food was great. Started with a sampler of appetizers and ended with the Phoenician mixed grill! Superb. The tenderloin was prime, the chicken flavor was exquisite and the kafta kabob were awesome. Sided the meats with rice, tabouli and baba ghannouj. Excellent lunch in a very cozy atmosphere. Must try it.

We LOVED the food. Everything was wonderful. Beer was served in a really cool way (I won't spoil it). Unfortunately, it was completely empty and the atmosphere inside was lacking. I recommend to decorate in a more appealing/interesting way. It felt cold and uninviting - unlike the kind servers and the delicious food!

We had very good and very tasteful food. The menu had good variety and all four of us tried different items from the menu, and all were pleased. We did not need reservation and were seated right away on a Sunday night. We waited a bit for the food but it was worth it. The ambience needs some improvement and the parking area and entrance need a lot of improvements for sure. I think it is under construction!

Delicious restaurant and fantastic service and would highly recommend it including the variety of appetizers, and main courses

We were craving healthy tasty Mediterranean food and found this place with great reviews. We ordered the tabouli, hummus and the mixed grill for two. The meat was tender and delicious, tabouli fresh and very filling. Our waitress was a sweet heart. Will return on our next stay.

During our Sunday afternoon visit we experienced exceptional service and some very good food. Highlights were the Kafta Kabob, Falafel Sandwich, hummus, and the Greek Salad. We also enjoyed the Labneh, and we had the opportunity to warm our own pita bread at the table. For desert we enjoyed the cheesecake and Lebanese coffee. The location is a little odd but worth seeking out. Very enjoyable meal.

Came, ate late, the kitchen accommodated us even though the hours on TripAdvisor were wrong, so great on them! We got two orders of the chicken shwarma as well, very good

Love this place. Great grilled meats, hummus, and the garlic sauce!! You must get extra garlic sauce! Also, their tabouli salad is perfect with anything.

Ok! I wish there were more stars to give this restaurant. The food was amazing.! The service out of this world! We just love the cozy atmosphere. The owners are such great people. We just love them. We live in Round Rock and when we want to eat some of the best Lebanese food in Austin, well, we come here. Today we celebrated my husband's birthday, they made it super special for him. Thank you for such great service and tasty food.

Very good authentic Mediterranean food. We really enjoyed the appetizer sampler. The grape leaves were my favorite on the plate. I had a Greek salad with chicken and the roasted flavor of the chicken was very good. We also had hot tea and baklava. Everything was delicious.

The best mediterranean food I I ever had Shish Tawook is my favorite and Fatoush salad from different world Perfection from A to Z

We had 5 meat eaters and one Vegan, and they had something everyone could eat. Staff was very friendly, atmosphere pleasant, and A lot of food for the price. DEFINITELY recommend eating here if in the area, and enjoy good food.

The theme is Lebanese, and so is the food. All fresh and virtually salt-free. The service, by the co-owner is friendly and prompt. The lamb and beef, salads and Middle Eastern appetizers are as good as it gets in the USA. The prices are modest, and we plan on going back.

This place rocks. Seriously. This could be the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. The service was great, and everything I had was exceptional.

In town for one night and decided to try this restaurant. Falafel was the best I’ve ever had. Lebanese rice was wonderful. My husband, who hates rice, cleaned his plate! Wish we lived closer to come on a regular basis.

Visited the Phoenician again. Better than ever - appetizers are fresh. The lamb dishes make one forget one is in Austin. Friendly, family service.

Amazing salad dressing and falafels! The atmosphere is very relaxed and cozy. Definitely a must for all couples. Great authentic Arabic food!

We found this restaurant from the back door entrance and enjoyed being away from the bars and people and traffic. Quick service and great food. Uncomplicated and family friendly.

SXSW festival was going on during my Austin visit so all restaurants were pretty much full. When I walked into this place, there were 2 people eating which concerned me at first. However the food was really, really good. $2 off wine and beer during happy hour. Decent wine selection. I ordered the chicken shawarma with Greek salad and hummus. I also ordered an appetizer, 1 meat roll and 1 cheese roll. Divine! Nice little quite, quaint spot.

This place very much impressed me. Here is my review... Service (3) - I've visited this restaurant twice. The first time the server was slow at refilling our drinks but attentive most of the time. She was friendly but did speak broken English so was reserved. The owner, on both of my visits, spoke with us and is very gracious. We enjoyed the conversation with him. Atmosphere (5) - The atmosphere inside the restaurant is intimate, dimly-lit, but tastefully done. One thing you don't get at this restaurant is wobbly tables, etc. It's comfortable seating. Food (5) - This is what I've tried at Phoenician so far... Phoenician Get Started - This appetizer comes out with a very hot, metal convex 'pit' that you lay the pita on top of to heat. The dip/spread mixed on top of the pita is very good. Baba ghannouj - The baba ghannouj here has a terrific smokey flavor. I can never quite get used to the texture of baba ghannouj (less grainy texture than hummus) but their's is the best I have had. Hummus - It tastes like hummus. :-) Good. Chicken shawarma - The chicken shawarma is fantastic and perfectly seasoned. I would give this place a 5 if their service would get a LITTLE better, but I highly recommend this place. One of my new favorite restaurants in town.

One vegetarian and three meat eaters went to dinner at the Phoenician and all had very good meal. I would recommend the Phoenician when in downtown Austin. I had the Gyro plate, others had the chicken plate, the vegetarian plate, and the beef tenderloin plate. Each was very satisfied with their meal and would all go back another time.

Lebanese restaurant offers a new stylish and delicious cuisine excellent unmatched in the city of Austin, Halal restaurants, prices of medium and suitable location close to downtown

I love Middle Eastern / Mediterranean cuisine. I think they could improve the flavors. The ambience is nothing special. However, they get an A+ for being friendly, and that means a lot.

Our group of 5 had a very nice Friday night dinner at this middle eastern restaurant. We started with the Phoenician Get Started appetizer, which I recommend very much. It sounds simple and uninteresting, but it's a wonderful assortment and more than worth the $6. The fried cauliflower florets (same price) is good, but not in the same class. It's just not that interesting, although well prepared. The falafel sandwich is generous, but could use a lot more tahini and/or hummus. The accompanying french fries were beautifully cooked. The gyro plate was substantial, and the person who got it loved all the accoutrements, although the gyro sandwich was just as pleasing to the person who got that. The Greek salad and hummus were both delicious sides. The samke harra was OK, but the quantity of sauce was way out of proportion for the fish, which I think was tilapia. The baba ghanouj was different than any I ever had, very smoky. A couple of us liked it, but the rest didn't. The waitress was attentive and unobtrusive. Everything came out promptly, and she refilled anything that could use it without our asking.

My family and I were walking around Rainy St and we saw a sign for this place. We walked around the corner and entered the cafe. We ordered the potatoes appetizer and the chicken shawarma with the Greek salad. It was all really good and reasonably priced. Would 100% come back.

If you love Lebanese food this is the place Falafel, Levne, kippe, salads etc. Just the way they should be. Not gourmet. Not decorated plates just good food and nice people.

We were in Austin and went there for dinner. It is a family run restaurant - Lebanese food and service were excellent. The Greek salad, chicken kebob (Tawuk) and Lamb (Shish) Kebabs were excellent and so was Lebanese coffee (we had with milk - different from traditional way). We went back for lunch in 2 days again.

We order food for a 100 people, and ended up with 130 people show up! Chef/owner Ziad and his crew rolled up their sleeves and made sure all our guests were fed, with out comprising on the taste or quality. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. We'll surely be back next time we are in Austin.
Very nice interior with great food
The downside is the construction next door makes it hard to find and hard to park. Other than that, it was worth the effort. I was the only one in the restaurant but I suspect the construction keeps people away. The décor is really nice and the owner (?) was very friendly. Since it was lunch I ordered the baba gannoush and falafel. Both items were perfect for lunch and even left me a little on the full side. The combination of the baba gannoush and pita had a nice smoky flavor. The falafel was cooked perfectly and had an amazing texture. It was a nice experience and the owner obviously has a regular crowd as people filtered in while I was there. Highly recommend.
