This was an old favorite from the time I used to live in San Antonio. I was there recently for business and made sure to meet a friend for dinner at Piatti. It did not disappoint. It has all that you want of a gourmet Italian eatery and the mixologists at the bar do an excellent job - no watery cocktails here! We weren't rushed by our waiter and the owner came by to say hi to my friend who is a regular diner. One curious note - almost all the waiters are movie-star hot and handsome. Leave room for dessert and a Limoncello. Only possible downside is the NOISE level, because of the acoustics and because Texans are loud animals. But you gotta love em.

I've had 2 fish dishes and 2 pasta dishes, bruschetta, Bibb lettuce salad, mista salad, and tiramisu. All really good, plus fantastic atmosphere. I have been anxiously awaiting Piatti's arrival at Elan and WOW, they have not disappointed.

Went during happy hour. We expected great service because our server was the bartender. Wrong. She was so busy both making cocktails and speaking to the wait staff she barely acknowledged us. Bruschetta was fabulous. Meatball app child sized.

After landing at San Antonio airport my friend suggested we go to Piatti's for lunch. We opted for the Soup and Salad and the Potato and Leek was the soup of the day so we selected that soup and each of us had a different salad. The soup was very below par ~ it was cold, tasteless and we told our server it was maybe a 1.5 or 2 on the scale. She apologized and said she would tell management about it. If she did, no one ever came by to apologize or to offer something different. Our salads were fine and we chose not to select any dessert there as we were very disappointed in the meal overall.

This restaurant used to be better. The lunch specials were really plain and average tasting. The outside area already has christmas decorations. The service was good though.

We found Piatti first at the Quarry. I've lived in Holland and spend 6 months in Belgium, so I can tell you without a doubt, Piatti's Prince Edward Island mussels are truly special and the best I've ever had. The Quarry Piatti is very noisy at rush hour times. Which makes it difficult for my wife and I to talk and enjoy ourselves. Lucky for us Eilan Piatti adopted the Quarry menu a year or so ago. Eilan Piatti is laid back and quiet even during the dinner hour on Friday or Saturday night. The pasta's, salad and pizza are great. I highly recommend.

My favorite dish is the trout but instead of pasta I order the sauteed spinach. Perfect! Unfortunately, for me, the trout is served after 4pm. Their bread with butter is the best. The guys, Peter and Brian, are the best servers. They also make great margaritas. The bar menu during happy hour has the best selections: ribs, shrimp, pizza, bruschetta, etc. Take your pick, you will want to eat it all. The atmosphere and inhouse music reminds me of Sobe, Florida. This is why Piatti's is my favorite place. I have been visiting Piatti for many years and I hope to visit for many more.

My wife and I had dinner at Piatti's on a Friday evening. The setting for the outdoor tables is very nice, viewing a fountain and the open terrace. Very few restaurants in San Antonio has as nice an outdoor experience. The food was very good and the service was also good, not rushed. We had salads, and the small portions of rigatoni and ravioli. We can recommend both. We'll definitely go again.

Had a very nice family dinner here...all 8 meals. Food was delicious , service was very accommodating. Great place for a special dinner.

Staying almost a week at The Elian, our last night in town we dined here. Our server never told us his name(bad start). His attention lacked so much we had to ask for water several times. My boyfriend had to ask again for his glass of iced tea. There was a teenager in our group & he discovered a torn up receipt in the bottom of his dish. We had to ask them to comp his meal. We asked to speak to the manager, no one ever came to our table. For such an elaborate place, is not worth another visit. The food was ok not great. Just the service alone is reason enough not to return.

Good Italian variety and portions. The food is made fresh, so it does take a little time. Nice, relaxing place. Great variety of wine and drinks. Nice for business dinner or a hideaway romantic date without breaking the bank. Service is excellent.

Location is excellent, food & wine lists good. A little pricey for what you get, in my opinion. Tips: plan to stroll around the Eilan area after eating for a European-ish experience. If staying at the Éilan hotel, this is a great choice in easy walking distance. Call ahead for evening patio seating, the sun blazes on their patio at lunch time.

Start to finish our experience was great! The friendliness of the staff ,great food and our waitress was fantastic! I highly recommend Piatti at The Eilan!

We held our 20 yr highschool reunion this past weekend. The chicken, salmon and sides were delicious. Loved the extra touch of olive oil and herbs to compliment the bread. Very good considering it was buffet and quality usually slips. We will return next time we are in San Antonio to try other menu options. The tiramisu was also bomb!

Great restaurant especially if you are in the area. Nice menu and the food is above average for Italian food. I stay at the Eilan so this is extremely convenient to the hotel. After dinner go to Georges Keep which is over the Terrance area by the hotel. GREAT bar with outstanding craft drinks from the mixologist.

First, reservations are helpful. The service is superb. It's not super quick, but this is NOT Olive Garden. Dining is an experience to be savored. The salads were delicious, the pasta was delicious, and the tiramisu was beyond delicious. Again, this is not Olive Garden. You will spend a few dollars, but relax and enjoy a very nice experience.

Great food, good service, but I ran into a practice that took me by surprise. I have had lots of restaurants round off the charge when they bring your change so that you do not have coins, but normally it is always you getting a few extra cents back so you get all paper money. Was not expecting them to round off the other way. Check was for 16.24 and gave them a $20, expecting 3.76 or 4 back, did not expect them to round it off to $17 and give me $3 change, so be prepared. Food is really good and large portions. Also some free bread and olive oil to start off with that is great. If you drink water and want ice, you will have to ask for it as they bring water in a room temperature bottle. If you have plenty of time, sit outside, service is slightly slower than I was expecting, but the weather was great and view outside is nice, not near as crowded as inside so a more relax-full meal.

The service was a step above and the food was definitely good, but not great. There is outdoor seating, but we did not partake of that today. I am sure we will go back.

Had dinner here for Valentine's Day. When we made reservations, the only table available was a high table in the bar. As it turns out it was great. They had a special menu for the night that was a bit pricey but the food was absolutely wonderful. The service was great although it did take a little long to get our food but I'm sure it was due to the fact that is was Valentines day. Our waiter was great and attentive. We ordered a cocktail (that is not well known) and explained to the waiter how to make it and they made it perfect. I will certainly return next time I'm in the area.

Pasta, steak, marinated olives!! Oolala! All three meals we had here were incredible. Simply walk out the back of the hotel, down some very nice stairs to a fountain, take a right and there it is! Even caught site of some local celebs.

Went with friends and place was busy. Food and service was very good...a bit slow since it was busy. But staff was friendly and food good. Nice salad and pasta special.

I was there during happy hour and the place was hopping. Attentive service, excellent pizza (thin crust, wood fired oven) and extensive wine choices.

Have eaten twice here now and love the setting, esp outside. Next to a beautful fountain in a "square" of the Eilan complex. There are little italian lights strung up on the patio which makes it so nice in the evening. Dinner was just okay, but we were a little disappointed on the wine selection. Had lunch recently, a burger and bun was so big i couldnt bite it, so i cant recommend this again. It was cooked just fine and was okay for a burger. Havent tried the lounge yet, it looks really nice. I will go back, as i love outdoor areas, and maybe try some appetizers instead! Service was good.

One of the best patio seating places in San Antonio. You'll love the European feel and the Italian food is great with good portions. The food is made fresh, so it does take a little time. Great variety of beer, wine and drinks. Nice for business dinner or a hideaway romantic date without breaking the bank. Service is excellent. We spent 3 hours on the patio enjoying the afternoon.

San Antonio is not a sophisticated city where you can find AAA restaurants like in NY, Boston, LA, etc so your expectations of all restaurants have to be judged under the understanding of this fact. We have eaten here a few times due to the proximity to a long weekend home we have in the area. The place is honest in what it serves and what you pay for. I travel quite a it to Italy and honestly LOVE Italian food. Under this loop you can judge this restaurant as being good for a city such as SA. I enjoyed their pastas and diverse sauces for them. The wine selection is not bad and service is honest. The rule of thumb with restaurants in SA IS TO KEEP SIMPLE. All basic dishes where the best we have tried so far in SA. The fish was fresh and cooked as ordered. Sauces where all very acceptable. It is a relaxed restaurant with above acceptable cuisine that is much better than other pretentious Italian restaurants that are not very good at all. I recommend it as a good alternative to break the steak house and Tex-Mex restaurants which are the cities most common. Give it a try, I'm sure you'll enjoy the setting, the food and the overall experience.

The menu has unique options including traditional Italian dishes along with salads and healthy sides. The service was prompt and attentive. The setting is inviting and classy.

The place is in a fancy square with a couple of other pricier restaurants like Ruth Chris etc.. The service was ok - although I wasn't particularly impressed with it. I ordered a seafood stew and would say it was just average and overpriced. I picked a house Chianti and it was good and pricey. This is a great place for a date or a business dinner or any other time you would like to impress someone etc.. there is , however, not too much substance and it is not a bargain. To be fair I had only 1 item on the menu and there is definitely more to explore.

We had appetizers, dinner, drinks and desert. They are were delicious, a bit pricey but it sure was worth it.

Dinner at this restaurant in this location is always nice. I just visited yesterday, and all the christmas decorations are up, and all the lights are up. The meatball appetizer is great, the lobster canneloni is pretty good. Service here is good, not great, but good.

Pastas galore with exciting herbs and spices that make you come back. Our lunch was so great, we had dinner there another day.

We've gone to Piatti several times and really like their food and atmosphere. However, they lack providing service you'd expect from any fine restaurant. For example, we asked if they could split a dinner salad and our waiter responded that he didn't think the kitchen was able to do this. REALLY? What would it take to have them put the made salad on two plates instead of one. Is there that much arrogance in the kitchen that management can't control it? This lack of "service" is really disappointing and hope that the management/staff steps it up and oversees that his staff/kitchen provides proper service to match the reputation they've built up over the years. Brandon, our waiter, handled it very well, and really appreciated his efforts to finally get the kitchen to do this for us. Step it up Piatti - please!!!

We had just had lunch at Uniko and wanted coffee. We walked in and we're greeted, and then directed to the bar for coffee. We chatted with Marissa who was working the bar. She asked if we were ok with pressed coffee, and of course we were. She proceeded to set us up with coffee and accouterments. We were still chatting and as we received our coffees from her asked her where to pay - she said they're on the house! What a nice gesture - we will definitely return for dinner!

Situated in the high end La Cantera Area, Piatti failed to provide a high end experience. Waited for entrees for 45 + while being told that it was taking real long to cook pork chop. It came out tough. Several dishes were extra salty and had to navigate the bones in the trout. This place- forgot about it.

This restaurant was amazing. I had the gluten free seafood penne and it was the best I’ve ever had. Both of my friends felt the same way about their food also. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. A truly enjoyable experience.

Total bummer. We choose to eat outside of Elian and all was fine and dandy till my husband found plastic in his meal. He had the pork chop. His meal was comped but management never came to table to apologize. Their house wine was good;). No miller lite:( not sure I would go back.

We come here regularly and they never fail. Easy to get reservations. Complimentary valet parking. Great menu.

A very short walk from Eilan, there is great food without feeling like you have to leave the property. If you're not at Eilan, it's worth the drive to eat here.

The Bruschetta is the best and we had really good food. Of all our entrees the pork chop was the best.

A nice place to go for drinks and a meal. The Niman Ranch pork chop was well prepared and pleasantly presented. They did get busy the Wednesday evening we were there. Piatti's seems to be a place to see and be seen with the 20 to 30 something set. There were older folk there too, but we saw no teens, tweens or younger children. I had to ask our waiter to refill our water glasses, so I'd say the service was fair to middling.

Piatti's adds a special touch by printing the name of the birthday person on your menus. Be sure and tell them when you call ahead for reservations. The food varies from pizza to Italian specialities and the salmon is my favorite

Service was excellent, the staff was very attentive and the food was fabulous. The location is very close to Six Flags and The Elian Resort.

I've been here twice recently. The first time I had their pizza and the second time their veal piccata. In both cases, the food was well prepared and the meal presentation above average. There are two drawbacks...the first is its a bit pricey considering that it's not fine dining. The second is that it's rather loud and I was straining to hear my dinner companion both times and she was only 3 feet away.

We started with Baratta Then Italian garden salad 2 had brunch salmon Other had burger Dipping oil great too

This is a great spot close to the hotel and the food was good. They had a nice wine list and the service was quick and friendly.

We had lunch since we have an apartment in eilan residencies . Location excellent. Menu very good. Good decor, prices average . Service very good. Drinks expensive.

We went to Piatti last month to celebrate a birthday. It was a Saturday night before the holidays and was busy both in the restaurant and their party room. People were standing outside waiting for a table when we arrived but luckily I had thought ahead and made a reservation. We were immediately seated in a high top table next to the window which allowed us to watch the courtyard next door. Service was a little slow as mentioned on other reports. It was a celebration so I ordered a bottle of Italian wine. Maybe 10 or so minutes went by when the waitress came back saying they did not have that wine. So I ordered a different Italian wine and the waitress said she would have to go check if they had it. Ten minutes+ went by before she returned to say they had it and did I want it. Uh that is why I ordered it! So back to get the wine and another 10+ minutes goes by before she reappeared this time with the wine. She started to open it but could not get the cork out and back to the bar she went. A little later she reappeared with the bottle open and poured the wine finally. Then she disappeared again before returning to take our order. Luckily the order did come out fairly quickly served by someone else. Once we had our food it was good and plentiful to the point that we both took food home. I had the rigatoni and my partner had the farfalle. Both were good and served hot. Looking around while waiting we were able to see other diners and the food they had looked inviting. We capped dinner off with tiramisu of course. When we finally left there were even more people standing outside waiting for a table. As far as we could see, it appeared that one has to wait outside for a table as there is nowhere inside to wait. Great if it is not raining which luckily it was not. If you go definitely make a reservation and be prepared to walk a bit to the parking lot (maybe a block or more). We will be back and hopefully get a better waitress.

Great place to meat friends. Chicken under a brick is great. Good wine menu too. We recommend this great place. The Valet service is handy right at curbside.

I'm so glad this restaurant opened a location on the Northwest side of town. It feels like a mini vacation eating outside surrounded by the beautiful Eilan backdrop. I've been twice in the last month with the same server, wish I knew his name. He's been funny and attentive. The Bellini is to die for, other customers have asked for it when they've seen me drinking it. The gnocchi, pizza and wedge salad have all been delicious. Both times I've been seated promptly. Love the decor and the vibe. Will be back for sure!!

I am not one to complain , however i must share my disappointment with Piatti restaurant. Our family of 10 ( 5 adults and 5 children) went out to celebrate our daughter in law's birthday Saturday night. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:05 PM and were quickly seated. We asked for the children's meals to be served as early as possible, and they were promptly served. Our appetizers were served, however our entrees took an hour and a half to be served ( I'm not kidding !!) even after we asked why they were so late in serving. We were told the kitchen was backed up. Very disappointing! We asked for our bill , and the manager came over to apologized and offered to give us free desserts( a gesture that we could not accept as it was already getting late for the children's bedtime), he then offered to give us a discount , the amount offered was even a bigger insult to us as it barely would cover one entree. It is unfortunate because we had heard such good things about the quality of the food there.Maybe they need to work on the quality of their service!! Thank you Piatti for ruining our celebration !

The menu offered a nice variety. The wine list was good and well-priced. The service was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed this place. We had dinner there our first night. We enjoyed it so much we went for our last evening, also.

I ate here before and it was just ok. This time we tried the happy hour. The happy hour prices are a game changer. The food was excellent and so was the wine. We had mussels, tuna and a pizza. The pizza was just average, the Tuna was good and the mussels were great. The atmosphere was great and they had valet parking while it was raining. Again: great place during happy hour !

We've been here several times and it always proves to be a good decision. We love the location and the ambience. The cocktails, which are a little pricey because we order top shelf, are fantastic. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and the roasted Brussel sprouts. I have had the delicious salmon before but decided on a smaller meal. Their bread is wonderful, no fluffy stuff here! My husband ordered the penne pasta with chicken and asparagus. He really enjoyed it. Brandon was our server and he was excellent. He let us alone when we wanted but was right there when we needed him. We love coming to Piatti's and will definitely be back again and again.

We had the private dining room booked for a business dinner with a set menu. Choices on the menu are excellent. Service was very good too -prompt but not obtrusive. The food was brought out quickly and there were no long wait periods. Serving staff were very pleasant and cordial. Ambiance was excellent for a networking dinner. The Tilapia Fish was good. Would recommend the private dining facility that this restaurant offers for a business dinner.

We have been to Piatti's three times now. This was by far the best. The drinks were wonderful, except even though we asked for no salt on our margaritas, there was still remnants left on the rim. We understand all the glasses are pre-salted which I find unusual. However, the food was well prepared and piping hot, just the way it should be. I had the salmon and since I don't like wild rice I substituted the Brussel sprouts. Yummy. My daughter had the bolognese pasta and an order of Brussel sprouts that she said was excellent. My husband had the shrimp pasta and a house salad and loved it. All of the food was scrumptious. Our waiter, Devin, was attentive without bothering us. My only complaint was it's a rather noisy restaurant so if you're looking for a romantic quiet place perhaps this isn't it. But, it's a fun place and has great atmosphere.

I was in San Antonio for business and wanted a nice restaurant to impress a friend and client. I was looking for some good Italian food and checked out some reviews. Piatti had some excellent reviews, and even though it was a 30 minute cab ride from our hotel, I decided to try it. When we walked in the place looked like a family diner with a bar in the middle. The cab had left so we decided to try it. I am used to fine dining and this place was more casual. We ordered some wine and was surprised at the selection that they carried. I ordered some appetizers for the table. The calamari looked great and tasted good. The pastas were delicious and the seafood dishes were amazing. Even the deserts and expresso coffee was great. I was really impressed and being Italian, I tried some amazing restaurants. I definitely recommend this place. Great food and great prices.

Staying at Eilan Hotel, easy walk down from the hotel. Great atmosphere. Staff was friendly and very attentive. Wife had the chicken pasta, I had the risotto w/shrimp. Servings were just right. Food was very tasty. For appetizer we had the house made pork meatballs - awesome. Saw lots of families eating here. Prices a upscale but worth the price.

It’s a busy place and a good one to see upscale drinkers and diners. The apps and food are good, as is the service, and the prices, high.

After enjoying happy hour at the Quarry location, I suggested to a friend that we go to the La Cantera location. I actually like the ambience better here than at the Quarry. We ran late because my friend had card trouble, and they were so gracious when I called to see if we could push back the reservations. Our server Jessica was a sweetheart, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the $6 cab and the bar menu margarita pizza and caesar salad. We also ordered some of their yummy french press coffee and the creme brûlée dessert. All that and the bill was $57! Can't wait to go back.

We meet here stone 3 pm for snacks: the bruschetta, carpaccio, calamari, and burrata. All were good as were the drinks of Moscow Mike, St eddy (a bit sweet) and the market martini. The restaurant is modern Ruth high ceilings, wood hewn walls and concrete floors

It was great & very delicious especially the ribs & shrimp. We go there every 2-3 months. We had at least 30 people there and all enjoyed.

This is a stunning location - very contemporary, Italian-looking. Visit for a photo in front of the fountain, but avoid eating in Piatti Eilan. Four of us went for a celebration, and a few dishes were good, but most were definitely misses. The chef also "decorates" the dishes with huge pieces of herbs that are not to be eaten, for example, topping spaghetti with half a basil plant. The Caesar salad was the full Romaine lettuce leaves with parmesan cheese on top, which meant awkwardly cutting them into bites. None of the pasta dishes were very good. The fruitti di mare tasted like a frozen bag of mixed seafood had been stirred into a pot of spaghetti. The manicotti was tough, as if it had stuck to the bottom of the pan. The spaghetti pomodoro was mediocre. The cheesecake had almost inedible strawberry-pomegranate sauce that tasted like chemicals. We have been trying a lot of Italian restaurants in San Antonio to find the best one, and this was not it.

I had a delicious, but small, dinner after working all day. The waiter was very helpful in assisting me to make my selection. I had scallops with a mango chutney with a small serving of angel hair pasta with a white wine & garlic sauce. I also had a margarita. I wanted an appetizer as my dinner, and this was perfectly prepared, top quality ingredients, and tasty too!

I ordered shaved zucchini with grilled chicken, I paid extra $$ to get 8 oz extra chicken and , well there were only 3 maybe 4 little small pieces of chicken . I was very disappointed with my food. The taste was good. I'm not sure if I'm going back.

Unfortunately the meal did not meet our expectations in food quality. Steak was thin and average pasta was good. We drove from downtown to experience what was touted as a very good Italian spot. Food is definitely Sysco and packaged. We were seated next to a very big party and servers had no problems leaning around us and bumping our table to accommodate the party. Bummed because trip adviser is almost always spot on.

Piatti at Eilan San Antonio is consistently very good. Both food, wine list and staff are a cut above most restaurants today. Prices are reasonable which is a plus. Piatti serves some of the best pizzas we've had outside of Italy (we like our just slightly overdone on the bottom crust and they were great about accommodating us). We ate there several times with our large family and everyone loved it. Great late night place for grownups and great lunch or early dinner spot for families. We'll keep coming back.

My wife, mother in law and I had lunch at this northwest side location at the Eilan Hotel Resort. Very good Texas friendly service. Our waiter was outstanding. The wedge salad, spaghetti marinara, ravioli stuffed with spinach, and the Piatti burger were all superb. Outdoor dining available on the patio that overlooks the fountains. Open for both lunch and dinner, full bar available and valet, as well as convenient self parking nearby. Highly recommended.

The food at this restaurant is always fresh and delicious, the staff offers first class service whether you are getting food to go or eating in.

Great food. Cool evening. Fun with friends. Had a long island ice tea was the best I've had. The wedge salad and the trout were especially delicious.

This restaurant is located in the Eilan Resort Complex and we ate there twice during our visit to the resort. We were traveling with children and our service was excellent. The waiters were attentive and helpful in telling the children many of the Italian food choices. The selections for all of us were delicious and the children ate all of their dishes which is sometime amazing in itself. The setting is beautiful, indoor and out, and the last night we sat on the patio listening to the fireworks! We closed out the evening of a wonderful Memorial Day trip with the tabletop rendition of "s'mores"! The children had a blast and the restaurant has an extensive wine list which we enjoyed.--

Dinner was fine, room a bit cool, seem as if most of the dinners were fine, but not an exceptional experience...

We choose this restaurant off a google search but ended up being thrilled by our choice. Everyone’s food was delicious, service was excellent and we would highly recommend it. It’s a little pricey and fancy. I wouldn’t recommend if you have young kids who want to run around. Our family of six was all adults.

Attending a meeting at Elian Hotel. Front desk recommended PIATTI for good food and bar. Very pleased with Alden our server. I had the Beet and Farro salad at his recommendation. The salad was excellent and a good accompaniment for the Pork Chop. Another person had the Seafood Lasagna which was excellent. Very relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a place to eat and unwind.

Our first time at Piatti. We ate there because it is next to the Eilan where we were staying. There was a lively crowd and the atmosphere is terrific. I had the lobster and crab filled Cannelloni. It was very good, but I was wishing I had ordered something else. Not the fault of the restaurant, I just love lobster and crab and their taste was overwhelmed by the sauce. I dined with two others, both enjoyed their meals. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would eat there again.

A wonderful variety of food selection at a fair price. The taste of everything we ordered was excellent. Get the pizza and any of their pastas! IF you are looking for a drink skip the Blood Orange Margarita and go for the Agave!

My family was terribly disappointed with our whole experience at Piatti at Eilan this evening. We arrived just 10 minutes before our reservation. The restaurant was not crowded for a Saturday night. We waited for out table approximately 10 minutes after our reservation time. Finally seated, we ordered an appetizer and drinks. The waitress was sweet and very helpful but we were very dissatisfied with everything else about the restaurant. We waited just under one hour after ordering for our meals to arrive. We received an apology from the waitress for the lateness and she let us know that she did let the manager know The manager never graced our table to welcome us or to apologize. This was a special occasion, celebrating our daughter's promotion as noted on our online reservation but nothing was said and instead, was treated very poorly. Before leaving the restaurant, I stopped in the restroom and found no soap in the dispenser and the sink stopped up. In the past, we very much enjoyed Piatti and was looking forward to taking our two daughters to celebrate. We will not return to this restaurant again.

Amazing food. Try the mussels with extra bread. They printed Happy Birthday on my wife's menu for her birthday.

I have visited Piatt's many times most recently and in the past. As always the food and drinks are a refreshing pleasure. The staff is courteous and friendly! The outside patio is a pleasant and romantic location to enjoy the evening.

Located at the bottom of the GRAND staircase at the Eilan Hotel. Wonderful service and food. would definitely go back here! The lasagna was real yummy!

If your staying at the Eilan Hotel and look for a great nice little Italian restaurant to go search no more Piatti is great, good food, affordable and great service nicely decorated.

We had friends in town, so decided to pick Piatti for its convenience to them. Reviews on Trip Advisor and Open Table were both excellent, so it seemed like a good choice. Everything was superb, from the greeting to the bill. Service was cordial and attentive. The food was seasoned well, perfectly prepared, and pleasingly presented.

I have a condo in Éilan, so when we felt we did not wanted to cook nor drive to a restaurant, this place is perfect for us. It is NOT a high end restaurant but the food is good.

Piatti Ristorante is the offshoot of the restaurant by the same name located in the Quarry shopping center in San Antonio. This one is in the Elian Hotel/commercial/residential complex on the western fringes of the city. The presence of a consistently good Italian restaurant in the fast-growing area is a great addition. Piatti serves the gamut of Italian standards along with creative and competently-prepared specials. The staff seemingly has been well briefed on the menu and is accommodating on split pastas and entrees. Nice addition to the neighborhood!

Excellent food and service, ate here two nights in a row because the place was perfect. I chose the Grilled Salmon on wild brown rice, but the choices are far.

Excellent seating, drinks and dinner. Been here several times now. House drinks of top quality. Brick Chicken superb. A must.

I am allergic to nuts and shellfish and I do realize how annoying it is for restaurants but as I travel for work, I know how to manage. I told my server and she came back to me to let me know that the kitchen didn't understand "shellfish" because they "speak Mexican, not English". I should have left at that point but I had confidence they could get it right. I ordered a steak and a caesar salad but found nuts hidden under the lettuce despite the fact that I've never seen walnuts as part of a Caesar salad recipes. I pointed it out to the server who did not seem at all concerned. I stopped eating immediately, paid and left.

Love their appetizer cheeze and meat platter. Also their happy hour menu were so tempting. They hv happy hour on Friday too where at other restaurant don't. Their tiramisu is sooooo yummy. Their wine selection are so variety. Service is good.

Had two lunches and a dinner here during the week of my conference. Very good food, served quickly, friendly staff.

We were staying at the Eilan Hotel and this resturant is close by. It was nice to be able to eat here and enjoy walking to and from the resturant. The menu has losts to choose from and we enjoyed our meals both night we were there.

We loved this place!!!! Ambiance is great, drinks are pretty good (chai old fashioned, gin and tonic, carajillo...) For starters, the baked goat cheese, the beef carpaccio and the mac and cheese (twice) And entrees, the pappardelle and fruti di mare are the best!!!! We didnt get to dessert but I bet it’s delicious! We’ll be back!

Very good Italian restaurant offering excellent pastas, specialty pizza, veal, beef and chicken. Very good wine list and several good selections of beer. Nice atmosphere, bar and slso outside seating. Good professional service.

You know, I really want to like this place but it really is impossible with the poor customer service I have received for almost 2 years now. For some reason, I keep giving this place a chance in hopes of being surprised with CHANGE one day. There are a few things this place has going for them and these are the only reasons I return....even against my best judgment. The menu selection is perfect and the food is great! I HIGHLY recommend the Happy Hour menu which has the best ribs in town! Too bad they are not served as a regular menu item. Secondly, the drinks and drink specials are great. If only they had better customer service at the bar area. I think they should be smiling and happy when greeting customers but apparently the generation of today doesn't have common courtesy or manners. A smile goes a long way. Lastly, the location is great and once the Ruth's Chris opens I think the Eilan will become a lot more popular and all of the current businesses will pick up.

We have, in the past, dined at Piatti's, at the Quarry, and we have enjoyed it. Now, with this new location so close to our home, at La Cantera Parkway, it is easier to get to this restaurant. This location is very beautiful. The bar and restaurant are lovely and spacious. We almost didn't get in. When I first called, for a Saturday evening reservation, I was told that I could be guaranteed a bar table, not a table in the dining room. It would have been a later time for a reservation in the dining room. Hint: Do call ahead if you want a dinner reservation. The young lady told me that I could walk in and "take a chance." We arrived early and were seated in the dining room. No problem. The special drinks are $9. I had a cosmo made with lemon bitters. This was too bitter for me; however, my husband ordered a bellini and liked it. I thought it was good, but a little sweet. (I know that bellinis are sweet. It is not my normal choice.) The waiter, named Zac, was very accommodating. The couple he had served right before us was in a hurry. We told him that we were not; we really enjoy spending time in a nice restaurant. This is our evening out and we want to savor the meal. Zac was patient even when I asked to try four different wines. I like a very dry red and I couldn't find one I liked. The "house wine" was not to my liking....no body and kind of whimpy. My husband ordered the house white and not impressed either. They did have one of our favorites, an Orvieto, so he went with that. Piatti's has one of my favorite dishes, carpaccio. They do a beautiful job! Lovely, thin slices of beef, a small amount of arugula in the center of the plate, EVOO and lemon juice drizzled over the entire thing. The cheese, a delicious Parmigiano-Romano, shaved slices on top with capers. Fabulous! When I reviewed the menu, I was pleasantly surprised to see pasta dishes with small and larger portions available. The smaller amount of pasta is also priced accordingly. I never order pasta dishes, in a restaurant, because I cannot finish them. I ordered the smaller portion of Penne with grilled chicken, walnut arugula pesto, and grilled asparagus, for a cost of $12. I asked the waiter to have them add the Parmesan Romano to this dish as well. As I love pesto, and grow basil to make my own, I know good pesto. This was delicious. When I finish a pasta dish, it means something. What I truly appreciated is having the choice of a smaller portion. Thank you, Piatti's! My husband ordered the menu addition that evening, a linguini with shrimp, crab and lobster. He asked them to add a few red pepper flakes. He said it was OK, not as flavorful as he expected. He said the description, of the dish, included onion; however, he could not pick up the taste of onion. They do have another seafood pasta dish on the menu. After the meal, we ordered dessert. My husband loves lemon and he ordered the lemon tart. His opinion: not enough lemon. It needed something. I ordered the tiramisu. The portion is a generous; however, it is served directly from the refrigerator. It was a little too cold at the beginning. You couldn't taste anything but cold. I let it sit a while and it was better. Dinner, for two, on a Saturday evening, was $123, without tip. What we didn't know, until after dinner, was about their Happy Hour. This sounds great! Generous hours, from 3 to 7 pm with specially priced drinks and bar menu. We will definitely return for that!

We love Piatti but the service was very lacking tonight. They were not busy and there were several servers doing nothing. Disappointed since we were celebrating a special birthday!

My Veal Picatta was very tasty, and the Chianti Classico for $45 was good!! The Wedge Salad was nothing special, not enough Blue Cheese or Tomatoes. Our Waiter was very good!! Sorry, can not remember his name. But the food servers were constantly bringing the wrong food orders to our table!! My wife noticed them doing the same thing with other tables around us. Need to know which table has ordered which food items!! This is a Basic Competency, and they failed.

This was our first dining experience at Piatti's location at Eilan. If just visiting San Antonio briefly, we would recommend Piatti's location at the Quarry...certainly for ambiance. We were eating lite on a Saturday evening, so both ordered the 'pasta trifecta' (reduced portions and price) and a bottle of wine. The food was well prepared, tasted great, and certainly more than enough for dinner. The tiramisu was moist and very nice. The wait staff and the service provided was outstanding. We were not in a hurry, so asked the waiter to accommodate us by pausing between courses. He was terrific! We will likely return to Piatti (Eilan location) when in the vicinity.

The atmosphere was nice and calming. The food was pretty bland and not very appealing. Our service was very slow but it seemed to be that way for most patrons at the restaurant. They were accommodating for children which was awesome. I just wish the food was better! It could have been the dishes I ordered but I liked my kids meals better than I liked my meal.

I ate here with a large group n October last year and the food was absolutely amazing, the prices were great and the staff were absolutely AMAZING, I loved their upbeat attitude. Cocktails are also fabulous.

Good food selection at typical prices for the fare. The restaurant has a lot of hard surfaces so was very noisy with a full crowd and hard to hear.

This beautiful restaurant is beautiful, the food amazing and the service perfect. Give it a try! You will not be disappointed.

We are a family from Mexico, came to this restaurant recommended by the Eilan Hotel (were we are staying). First of all our reservation didn't show up, waited 30 minutes to sit. Since the beginning the waiter called Brian (name was given by the Manager), was either in a bad mood or in a bad day, did not bring what we ordered, never picked the leftovers, did not bring the desert menu until I asked for it, he even told me that I only had 5 minutes to order desert because they kitchen embassy going to close, etc. But the really bad thing was his lack of attention to us. I called the Manager and he was of not of much help either, the only thing that he did was to apologize, that was it. So I pay the check and we left. It is a good place and good food, but the personnel according to the prices is the worst. Signed by very disappointed costumer.

Wife and I ended up going here on our anniversary instead of the the hotel restaurant - more more our style. We ended up with a Salad, Pizza and Drinks. We had a great time - food was great and the staff was awesome. Will go back when in area.

We eat here fairly often, and we are generally very pleased. The servers are attentive but not hovering, the atmosphere is casual (especially at the bar) but somehow remains elegant. Food is fresh and well-prepared, with classic standards (the pappardelle bolognese) and more inventive (tagliatelle made from shaved zucchini - a personal fave). What I really like is that you can get most of the pastas in a smaller size if you like, and it is always adequate. Lovely location, with outside dining as well.

If you've ever been to Italy, you will find the food comparable! Sit out on the patio on a gorgeous day & you'll feel like you are in Italy still! Plenty of vegetarian options!

I spent a week in San Antonio on business and decided to eat at Piatti's in the Quarry market. The weather was perfect, so we decided to enjoy it like Europeans do and sit out side to eat. The meal, the atmosphere and the beverages were all to die for. I am actually moving to Texas this summer, and absolutely cannot wait to be able to drive to San Antonio to eat there again!

Piatti's in the Eilan complex is a great place to go for happy hour. It has a nice custom drink selection, value wines and discounted dishes. We love the happy hour house Cab and the Italian wings. We love the bar area, with an abundance of highboy tables. The service was good, not great. They have free valet parking.

This restaurant is within easy walking distance of the Eilan Hotel in San Antonio. Our waiter was great. The person handling seating was not. We waited over 30 minutes and there were "reserved" signs on many tables -- but while we were there for approx. 2 hours not one person sat at any of the tables - very strange. We were there from 7-9pm so I doubt that there was going to be a lot of people arriving after 9pm for dinner. When a gentleman with our group said that we'd been waiting 30 minutes the man at the front desk began to argue with him -- another employee saw the "discussion" and brought us a free appetizer and apologized. There is no excuse for so many empty tables being unused on a Saturday night. Perhaps they were under-staffed -- something seem odd -- I could sense tension between staff members -- I think management needs to "fix" this issue immediately. Patrons don't need to be aware of "tension" between staff. The hot bread was outstanding. The portions are large. I had the ravioli and a salad - both were great. Someone had the lobster bisque and raved about it. The fish was huge & I got a taste - delicious. I would eat here again. The bar was full and very small. We would have ordered drinks while we waited but there was no room for us in the bar & no one offered to take our drink order while we waited outside -- the restaurant missed an opportunity to easily make another $100 off our group.

Very glad we tried Piatti and we will be back regularly. Our waiter (Zack) provided exceptional service and did a good job guiding our choices as there are so many items on the menu that look great. I had their salmon which was expertly prepared and my dining companions both opted for the redfish special which they enjoyed immensely. Their chocolate cake desert (kind of a molten chocolate cake) was the bomb and the tiramisu very good as well. A nice touch was that our waiter got the valet to have our car waiting outside when we were ready to leave. Valet is complimentary. It also looked like their bar area is nice to socialize - it was busy but not crowded.

This restaurant has a very good lunch. The flavors are specifically Italian type, but they are nicely done. I had two shared appetizers, the calamari and bruschetta. Let's start with the calamari. The breading was not highly flavored, but not oily at all. It comes with a wonderful tomato salsa paste. The mixture worked. The bruschetta was a little heavy on the pesto. I love pesto, but the basil overpowered the rest of the ingredients. Don't get me wrong. It was still very good. I preferred the calamari. I ordered the organic chicken sandwich with a salad on the side. The greens were crispy and fresh. There were not overly loaded on a certain green. It had a good mixture. The sandwich was a chicken sandwich. It wasn't anything really special, but that could be because everything leading up to it was fantastic. They, pretty much like every Italian restaurant in the US, offers bread and an olive oil mix. The mix was heavily set with garlic, but the bread was out of this world. Let's now talk about the service. Our waiter was great. The food was a little slow to come out, but it is well worth the wait.

No waiting, great menu, Peroni beer on tap. Wait-staff: pleasant, knowledgable, accommodating. Environment: not TOO loud (they went to increase the volume of the background music & changed their mind- THANK YOU... we actually carried on a conversation).

we ate at this restaurant on our visit to san antonio and even celebrated a co workers bday. the menus were printed with her name on top with happy birthday as well. the service and food were excellent. Will definitely go back and eat here again

Company outing here. It was great. The service is great. I had the pizza and it was awesome. Once our dinner was over the manager came over and brought us a table side Smores station for free.

Recent Saturday night...make sure you have a reservation! Excellent food; drinks at the bar were superb, from a nice single malt and a Moscow Mule, to most importantly, two perfectly made Old Fashioned (you should always be able to taste the whisky in a whisky-drink!). The food was par excellence...try the bruschetta--it's truly as good as everyone says. The bread, btw, was outstanding and puts you in that problematic position of eating too much and not saving room for entrees, etc. Speaking of entrees, we had the trout (normally, I'm not a fan, but this was perfect), and you definitely can't go wrong with the Shaved Zucchini and "tagliatelle" chicken. The wine selection was decent and we were too full for desserts (which looked awesome in presentation). Only gripe was slow service...definitely wasn't intentional--our server was attentive as possible, but he was obviously pressed to the test with a full house (maybe it's time to dip into the till, Piatti's, and hire more?)...result was some minor errors and slight neglect, but nothing to make us not want to come back....next time, though, we may deliberately shoot for a week night. Great ambiance, btw, there at the Eilan complex....like eating in a movie set...

I would of rated this EXCELLENT, but the service we received was certainly not deserving of excellent, more like pathetic! I made reservations two weeks in advance via OPEN TABLE requesting a patio table for six adults - our first visit to PIATTI. Our reserved table was directly in front of the main entrance and when the door opened, diners were bumping into the back of the chairs of our table. I immediately asked to moved to the back part of the very large patio, but was told, "we don't seat large parties back there, you must sit here." Needless to say, we all felt as tho we were dining in an intersection! PAITTI patio is huge where you can also enjoy the nearby fountain. Throughout the evening (we were there for three hours), the young (and obviously inexperienced) server just couldn't get it together. Three of us selected the menu "small pasta" which included small salad, small pasta and small tiramisu ($22). The server brought the three tiramisus before he even brought a dessert menu to the others. There was no server or menu introductions, no menu explanation, no featured dinner items explained, few check-backs, dinner served to the wrong person, more than a 5 minute wait between serving three of us until the others were served and the one and only coffee ordered with the dessert was served about 10 minutes after the dessert was served. Overall, our food was EXCELLENT. All six of us thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. I especially LOVED the Bruschetta - probably best I've ever eaten - very fresh! Terrific Caesar salad with a strategically placed Anchovy that could be removed or included! The pesto asparagus chicken pasta was uniquely excellent! The tiramisu had a distinct rum taste that complimented the espresso! All of us are looking forward to returning for the food, not the crappy service and patio seating!

Service was really bad as soon as we arrived, actually there was no service. After a long wait and a complaint, a waiter came, apologized and took our drink order, from that point forward, service was good. Food was excellent! my date had a brunch item and I had an item off the regular menu, both choices were excellent, Piattis is consistent with their good cuisine at their Quarry location and I see now, also at this location. Outdoor patio is very nice. Would still opt for Quarry for their great ambience.

A weekly fav! Better than Italy and a whole lot cheaper! Enough said. Ask for Antonio or Mickey. Love eating off the piazza with the grand fountain. Tonight the side doors were open to a breezy April San Antonio evening. The Caesar salad was inspiring with the large delicate cheese layer topping off a garden fresh romaine. The anchovy was welcoming us on top to dig in. I enjoyed the pork chop with scallop potatoes and the creme brûlée for dessert. Amazing dinner with my love. When I asked my husband about his Parmesan crusted chicken and pasta. A man of few words said... it was good! That says it all! It's very good!!

If you've exhausted the restaurant options in the hotel (one!) and dont want to take the short drive to the main la cantera restaurant area, you can't go wrong with this Italian spot. It can be crowded on busy nights but the menu is excellent and they have alot of wine and beer options, even wine on tap which is a new innovation. The menu offers a nice Prixe Fix menu with a salad, pasta and dessert for $22 which i thought was very nice.

We had a really good meal here. Fun vibe and everyone loved their food. I had the fish special and the rest of our group had pasta. It was very crowded so a reservation is highly recommended. We also had tiramisu for dessert which was really good. Great growing fun spot in San Antonio - I would go back for sure.

I am not sure what was going on with the kitchen but the wait time for our meal was outrageous. The appetizers showed up in a reasonable amount of time. And the. We waited and waited... the only reason I gave it a three was because our waiter was wonderful. The food was mediocre at best. I had the seafood linguini and it was alright but not amazing. One person ordered ravioli and it was very doughy. The lemon cream sauce was very heavy. One of our party had the spaghetti and that was actually good. The calamari was very over cooked. The bruschetta was bland for an Italian restaurant. The muscles were not fresh as you would expect. The tiramisu was not good at all. The s’mores was really weird for a restaurant. For the price of the s’mores I would expect some home made marshmallow with some good chocolate, not grocery store s’mores. Overall it was not a great experience. Not a good first impression!

Very friendly staff. We loved our meals. Would love to go back and try the pizza. Great choices of wine and coctails. Very nice experience.

I’ve been to this place several times. Service is always great as the food. The food and drinks are excellent. I enjoy the wine selection.

So many wonderful items to choose from on the menu. Everything we ordered was tasty! The bread alone was fabulous. I need to go back for the pesto!

We went there for a quick lunch as we were workign nearby. The service was great, and quick. The offerings were just right, with the right choices and a delicious outcome. The ambiance was also very nice, even for a lunchtime.

If you are looking for a quiet upscale place to have dinner - Piatti's at Eilan is not it. This might work if you just strolled in off the beach in your swim wear and thongs. The tables are extremely small - reminds one of a sidewalk café in France, but certainly not a place to have a fine dinner. When we were shown to our table it was located about a foot from the table next to us so the idea of having an intimate conversation was out of the question. When I pulled my chair out it was covered with food droppings. We were at Piatti's to celebrate our Anniversary. In searching for a restaurant, and one that we hadn't been to before, I reviewed several comments in Trip Advisor. Based upon those reviews I decided upon Piatti's. After the food dropping issue, the "casual" atmosphere, the loudness, I looked at my wife and we both gave a thumbs down. We departed without eating.

Absolutely everything was perfecto! Bread and dip, salads, main courses and beer and wine! It’s awesome

This trip marks 3 for SA in the last few years but our 6th to Piatti. Why you ask? Because it’s so good we go there twice every time. Yes! This is so true. In fact when have a drink at our hotel we met another couple and they had shared where they ate and said it was so good they went twice. A few favorites of ours...veal piccata but we always ask for a side of angel hair pasta with the piccata sauce. It comes with sautéed spinach which is wonderfully tasty. And for the closing you have to do the s’mores. Although I have tried several desserts and they are all amazing. Alton was our server , he is from Hawaii. He has waited on in two or 3 times in the last year. Great service.

wide variety of Italian foods and wines, well served and delicious. Large wine list and delicious pastas and appetizers

Good place. Nice atmosphere and good service Table little small for platter sharing but comfortable enough. Service was not excellent but good. Food was good better than average fr an Italian restaurant

Excellent, friendly service, good food. Lovely setting. Waiter was most helpful and attentive. Outdoor seating was a pleasant place on a warm evening. Recommended.

Had a lunch on the patio on a beautiful afternoon. What a great experience! The food was delicious, and presented beautifully on the plate. The service was friendly and helpful, speedy and efficient, and the atmosphere is perfect. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We ate at the Piatti in the Quarry. We ask for the dinner menu at $21 or 22.and have a salad, a pasta and a tiramisu. Good portions and the ravioli with spinach and ricotta in lemon cream sauce always delicious. The tiramisu not so good. Service slow and it was not rush hour.

It is a wonderful place, not just for the food but for the whole environment, the fountain, the lights, up in the hill far from the noise of the street. I ordered the burrata , carpaccio, both delicious, we had pasta, pizza, and mussels. Great options. The bread is good, always warm. The service is good, definitely a good option for dinner.

The service was attentive. Food was ready quick and tasted fresh. We each had a cocktail which was mixed well. Overall it was a great evening with delicious food and drinks!

This was by the resort we were staying. We arrived mid afternoon. There was happy hour drink specials. The food was great and well priced. I would eat here again.

On a recent trip to SA, this was a must stop at place. In fact, we were at the Eilan Hotel and ate at Piatti's 2 of 3 nights. Close and within walking distance to hotel (maybe 100 yards). Very good food, service, and price.
Good food
Good Italian cousine and easy to get to from my client's office. Great bar and good staff. Price was reasonable
