we were wandering around pike place market and we took a wrong turn looking for a bathroom when we saw this tiny kitchen behind a glass wall and then a tiny restaurant with a few tables filled with chinese families eating. this seemed like a very good omen, so we went in --- and were delighted! the menu is huge and they had lobster and crab on the fresh chalkboard. we had egg rolls, which were absolutely delicious and then i had flavorful mu shu pork with the thinnest pancakes i've ever seen. it was wonderful, and the house special rice was extraodinary too. my husband had the deep fried oysters and loved them.... there are dozens of places to eat here at pike street and we just happened to get lucky by walking upstairs to find this tiny gem. and by the way, the view of the harbor is beautiful....

I dropped in for a late lunch, the service was great and the food really good and fresh. Servings are really big. I love the han bo - baked pastries stuffed with meats. I have only seen these in Seattle and they are delicious.

Small area for this restaurant, seating is tight, wood work is well worn. But that is typical Chinese. Views of of the sound, and through Windows to Pike's place. Food was good.

We were told to go here for dinner by some friends when we were in Seattle & they were right. The food is great & the service is fantastic. Try the Honey Walnut Prawns. MMMMMMMMM Good.

Stumbled across this place by chance - it's so small, you could easily walk past it. The service was quick and efficient and the food very fresh - especially the vegetables. The squid was excellent.

We keep going back, The wait staff is very friendly to us. Everything I have ever had on the menu is good but I am partial to the Mongolian beef and the Chow Fun. Located about mid point of Pikes Market and on 2nd floor. Open usually till 9pm

“Where shall I have my Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony?” ~ The very first question is if the preference is an intimate ceremony or one that includes all your guests. This will determine where to have the Tea Ceremony. For a private ceremony, tea can be served in the home of the bride or grooms family or an intimate suite at the reception or banquet venue. If your preference is for all of your guests to witness this special ceremony, ensure there is enough space to accommodate everyone. then i will suggest that this Pike Place Chinese Restaurant is the best place for a Chinese tea ceremony. My wedding party was just hold in Pike Place Chinese Restaurant last december, for my wife and his family, friends most are Chinese, I would like to have Chinese tea ceremony after our western style marriage ceremony. That day Pike Place provided us with the best service, place properly organized asin traditional Chinese culture, room using red. but the most memorable part of the ceremony was that my wife dressed up with perfectly charming cheongsam dress. Her style of dress is attractive. Also it matching the place completely. By the way, my wife told that she was really appreciate with her wedding dress from favorbuying(http://www.favorbuying.com). Although we order it online, favorbuying provided with tailor-made, the dress fits my wife so well. Thanks a lot to Pike Place Chinese Restaurant and FavorBuying store.

The best food for us was the Chinese Cuisine warm and delicious. reasonable price and enjoy the bubble tea with mango flavor.

Right across from a busy public bathroom. It seemed to be a busy place; so we stopped there to have lunch. But what a mistake we made. The staff was rude, loud, and impatient. Our waitress didn't care the questions we had. Service was slow. The place had an "off" smell as the other reviewer said. Food portion was so small that we had to visit another restaurant after 1 hour. It ended up being a very pricey lunch considering the ratio of price over food amount and quality. We noticed the kitchen looked filthy and unsanitary after we finished our lunch. They included tip in the bill already, but then charged us additional tip when I received my credit card statement. How presumptuous that they deserved 15% in the first place with such lousy service! How dishonest that they charged additional tip by altering the receipt! Please, no matter how hungry you are, and no matter how busy the place may appear, and how convenient the location is, do yourself a favor - pick another place! You don't want to eat unsanitary food of tiny portions in a smelly place and being served by rude staff, and being ripped off and cheated by paying an astronomical tip on top of that. Do you?

One of those little places tucked away with pretty good food and lunch specials. We tried chicken curry, Mongolian beef and egg rolls and it was good and not pricey.

If I could give this place zero points I would . I bought 2 dishes to take , one was sweet sour soup and rice with shrimp, The soup had so much vinegar it was impossible to eat , nothing sweet just pure vinegar, and the bottom of the box with rice there was DEAD BUG ! When I saw it I went vomit right away ! Horrible , Horrible place ! I will never ever buy anything to eat from Public market ! I am not famous Ramsey but finding dead bug inside the food and having vinegar as a soup , it is unacceptable. Clean up your place people !

Loved this gem we found at Pike Place. It's small but the food was fresh and plentiful! Staff was nice and the egg rolls were good. You need to try the steamed buns in the window too!

Pike Place Chinese Restaurant is a little hole in the wall in Pike Place Market. It has both counter service and a dining area. If you dine in, the dining area is long and thin, so you will have to squeeze in if there are any more than 2 of you. The restaurant has a good view of the harbor below - the view definitely adds to the atmosphere. The restaurant has a large, authentic menu. I ordered the salt and pepper crispy tofu and barbecue pork lo mein, and I was amazed by how good the food was - some of the best Chinese I have ever had! The tofu was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The barbecue pork was tender and perfectly cooked through. One of the best meals I have eaten in a long time. The prices were not bad, either, especially for the prime location. I will definitely be coming back when I return to Seattle!

I have been eating at this place for years although had not been for awhile. Today was my last time. The place had empty tables as I arrived well after the lunch hour but long before the dinner hour. I was not made to feel welcome as a solo diner. I ordered Mongolian Beef and asked for a glass of water, without ice. I was told they do not serve water at the table but I could order bottled water for $3.50. I declined. In my opinion, Chinese food should come with rice. Now, one must pay extra to have rice on the side. I declined that, too. My dish was tasty enough but lukewarm. I prefer hot food. I looked carefully at the sliced beef and decided that even those small bites were under cooked; no wonder the dish was not hot. I did not feel certain my beef was properly cooked and I became concerned. At one point, the wait person glanced at me/my table and then turned her attention to another party. No one asked if I needed anything else. Finally, I waited a very long time to catch the eye of any waitperson so I could ask for a box (I decided I would finish cooking my meal myself) and my check. By then, I had decided I would not leave a tip (for the first time in my adult life...). When the check arrived, a 15% service fee had already been added. I paid a little over $23.00 for a small plate of nearly inedible beef and onions, no rice and no water but with poor service. Sadly, I won't go back.

This place has the best Mongolian beef I’ve ever tasted. Their prawn chow mein is also top notch. I highly recommend it.

Food was good and the atmosphere was really cool. I have nver eaten in a place that was so small and you are captivated by your surroundings.

We were craving Chinese food and saw this on yelp. So glad we decided to give it a try. We loved the view from the restaurant and it's right inside Pike Place Market. The staff was very friendly, the service was excellent and the food was very good. Some might be annoyed that the place is directly across from the public restrooms (you can hear the hand dryers) but it didn't bother us at all. Very cool find!

There were only 2 customers when we got there in the afternoon close to 6 PM. It was our first dinner in Seattle since we flew in that afternoon. My husband ordered a big bowl of wanton and seafood soup plus eggrolls. I ordered the chicken with mixed vegetables dinner that came with hot and sour soup. I do not like hot and sour soup so I told the waitress that I would give it to my husband. She said it was okay. She bragged about the good food there: "Better than any of the Chinese restaurant in China Town". Almost an hour after I ordered, the last person to come in got her food and I still did not get mine. She was talking/socializing with some of the diners. When I asked, she denied that I even ordered. She was not focused at all. Since I was hungry, I waited again. In retrospect, we should have just left and gone elsewhere.

This is a little "whole in the wall" restaurant. And I mean little. There were only about 10 tables that could hold four people each. It has a nice view of the Seattle Great Wheel and the bay. But it has the best egg foo young, and they're large portions. The service was excellent and very courteous. And the value is very good for what you get. If you're ever at Pike Place Market, try to find this place. It's downstairs and a little difficult to locate, but it's definitely worth it.

We were looking for Chinese food and were at Pikes Place. Decided to go here. We liked that it was very small. The food was actually way better than I would have expected. We managed to enjoy all 5 of our meals. All items had a distinct flavor.

We were touring with 2 kids. We looked for a place to eat at the market but didn't see any with great seating. This little restaurant was perfect! Small booths/ tables with water views and great food. It wasn't crowded when we arrived- we got there right before the lunch rush!

Great view and the crispy squid was tender and nice although not from market. Average Chinese overall but as a local had to check it out.... Wonton soup very bland so added hot sauce and soy. Was happy about veggies in broth. Potstickers were terrible. Won't be back. The staff was so loud talking Chinese the entire time... Most tables were full and quiet diners .... My ears hurt.

We stumbled upon this restaurant as we navigated the many shops in Pike Place Market and we are so happy that we did. The food was amazing, especially the Crispy Tofu with Chinese Salt and Pepper...we will probably never find a dish as good ever again! Service was good to average as they were very busy, but our server was helpful with suggestions and what she recommended was really good...wish we lived closer as we would be regulars, small and tight on seating space with window view of the water.

when here due to reviews. one the wait time were bad very bad. second some of the staff were rude. when they mixed up my order and i was not angry but i did ask to get what i ordered. the lady at the front first ignored me then rolled their eyes and got me my order. i will never eat here again!

A small restaurant in Pike Place Market offering yummy lunches at great prices. try the garlic green beans with prawns. Comes with a generous scoop of white rice and complimentary soup. Located downstairs behind fresh fish stand. This is a cute and friendly place! Will definitely visit again.

The menu changes, the owners change, but I never leave here hungry or disappointed. Located on a lower level of the Pike Place Market, you may miss it if you're not careful. If you do, you'll be sorry.

We ate here on a whim during a flying visit to Seattle. We wanted to see the market and explore a bit before heading to the airport late afternoon. I planned to try a Korean restaurant that was closed on Sunday so we strolled through the market to find somewhere to eat with seating. When we arrived it was full of Chinese people eating, which is always a good sign! The menu is quite varied and the portions are very generous. The service is a little bit blunt but I often find that the case in Chinese restaurants, even at home in the UK! Their salt and pepper chicken was amazing, the batter was crispy and tasty without being heavy or greasy. Their pineapple fried rice and kung pao chicken were also very good. The restaurant has views out over the water and is constantly full. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick lunch or dinner.

Stumbled upon this little restaurant. I got the wonton soup and crab rangoons. The food was light and delicious. Filled up on the broth and noodles. Perfect for a cold November day.

Very small, very crowded, but very good Chinese Food. Tucked away in Pike's Market, you can't go wrong here. It was very good and obviously a local favorite. Nothing fancy, just good Chinese Dishes. General Tso's Chicken and Fried Rice were excellent and they aren't afraid to put on the spice. Loved it.

This restaurant was chosen by us mostly because of the fact that it had seating. We were very pleasantly surprised on how good the food was.

We go to this restaurant a lot because of the more authentic food but we had the lobster the other day and wow it was not only great it was huge, fed all 4 of us. Wish I had taken a pictures but as soon as it hit the table the forks were flying.

I don’t live in the area any more but fly into Seattle at least twice a year and whether my destination is north or south of Seattle I always head directly to Pike Place Market just to have lunch at this place. Never disappointed. Large menu, ample portions, friendly severs, and best of all great food. It’s on a lower level so if you’re at the Market look for it. Enjoy the view too.

Heard from a colleague about their specialty so I went to check it out. Their lobster noodles stir-fried with ginger and spring onion is simply delicious. Waitress was kind enough to say they can a small portion for me and I don't need any other dish. She was friendly and attentive, coming by once in a while to ask if I needed anything. Maybe it's because I had wiped out the whole dish, leaving behind only the lobster shell. Try it yourself!

This is our "go-to" place in Seattle for an inexpensive lunch. We visit the city often, and we always seem to find ourselves at Pike Place market around lunchtime. We love this place because it is one of those "hole-in-the-wall" places that surprises you. It's very small. It is rarely crowded because it's hidden in the downstairs area of Pike Place Market. It doesn't look like anything special, but the food is good. The prices are reasonable. The service is indifferent, but we've never minded that because we were looking at the view of the water! We have only ever had one experience where the food was not up to usual standards. That was the orange chicken, which is usually quite good. This one time, it seemed like it had been warmed up way too many times; it seemed "stale." Otherwise, we have always been happy. We will continue to frequent this place.

Stopped her for dinner and we were the only ones there. Waited while waitress talked on her cell phone. When the waitress finally did come over to take our order her cell phone rang so she left to answer it. We walked out. I would give the service a zero if I could

first let me say the lobster is great but you need 4 people to eat it all. Our new favorite is the melt in your mouth eggplant. We also had the Chow Fun noodles (I don't think I spelled correctly but they are fun). And Mongolian beef. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. Located inside Pike Market open after market closes too. Great view of the wheel, ferries and water. John and AnaMaria

I wanted something other then seafood at the pike place market so I wanted to try this place. It was pretty small inside but had great views of the water and Ferris wheel. The menu was expensive! All the entrees were ala carte and didn’t come with rice or soup which I thought was a rip off so I got the wonton soup with noodles for $16. It was a huge portion! They had really good chili paste on the table and soy sauce to the soup which needed it. The service was just ok. I wouldn’t come back again.

We tried this restaurant based on Trip Advisor reviews and were very pleased. Great location in the midst of the market. Very small place but had great views. Nice menu, lots of fish entries. We had one dish with squid and another seafood combo. Both were good, fresh and flavorful. Nice service too.

Since we are local to the Seattle area, we often go to the Seattle waterfront to walk and people watch, especially when the cruise ships are in town. Lunch at Pike Place Chinese is always tasty, moderately priced and the view is great. We especially like the Sweet and Sour soup. Service is quick and they have fixed a plate of bok choy for my husband, even when it wasn't on the menu.It is easy to find at Pike Place Market since it is right at the foot of the ramp.

Very cramped, had a "off" smell that I couldn't place, perhaps to close to a public bathroom? Food was average, had to mess up standard Chinese dishes. Won't be going back.

This place is tiny ... maybe 16 - 20 tables. But every table was full and stayed full. The staff was friendly and happy and the service was excellent and fast. We had the Singapore Noodles and General Tso's Chicken. They were both delicious and fresh. The food we ate and that we saw neighboring tables eat all looked very appetizing.

The markets were closed and we were looking for takeout. A quick check with TripAdvisor and I found the pike place Chinese Restaurant — which really is hidden but what a cute little location. I know reviews were mixed but ours had to agree with those who said this is a great restaurant. The food we ordered was fantastic and the service was great. We ordered the chicken and cashew as well as the special fried rice. Both were hot, tasty and full of fresh vegetables. I also saw several heavily laden platters go past while I waited for my takeout. They were generous servings, smelt delicious and the steam was still rising from their cooking. We greatly enjoyed our meal and would be happy to eat here again.

We were just craving for Chinese food and walked into this small Chinese restaurant. Restaurant is small and service is quick. The wan tan soup was excellent, Malay spicy bean was great too. Taste is great. Should give this restaurant a try !

Great staff, food and prices. One of our favorite places to eat. We go there often and have never had a bad service or meal.

Not sure what the allure is. I guess it depends on what your idea of Authentic Chinese cuisine is. Being from Vancouver, BC, where really good Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen, this place would definitely be at the bottom half of the list. Sorry, I guess I am spoiled. It could be that the management has changed or they hired a new cook. The service wasn't the greatest, either. Also, be prepared to have the tip included on the bill.

We stopped in here very hungry after going to the Pacific Science Museum. We ordered "family style" and got the mu shu pork, house special chow mein, won ton soup, and the pork buns. The buns were HUGE and very good. The won ton soup was very good and the broth not overly salty. The mu shu pork was good but we were only given four wraps and should have been provided a couple more. The house chow mein had the thin fried noodles and it was very good. The service was good and we received our food pretty quick. We had a view of some waterfront buildings and a tattoo parlor. This might offend some folks, since we were watching someone get a back tattoo. But it was kind of funny and just added to what we had to talk about later.

The fried rice was really bland and we found a hair in our General Tso chicken! We had eaten about half the rice and only a few bites of the chicken when we saw the hair. When I notified the server she said she would have them make another plate of chicken. I told her we didn't want to eat anymore. She brought us our check and both the rice & chicken was on it! I told her we were not paying for the chicken. She argued with me and said we had eaten half the chicken. I told her I would pay for the rice only, not the chicken. We had barely eaten half the rice, I felt like I was being generous! She was totally rude and the food we did eat was not very good even before the hair was found. There are so many better places to eat at Pike's, avoid this one.

Food was very good but the place is noisy and they want to get you in and out quickly. Stay away from the soup.

When in Seattle we always make sure to eat at Pike Place Chinese Cuisine. It never disappoints! Friendly staff and big portions.

While shopping at the market, I saw this hole in the wall and decided to stop back for dinner later that afternoon. I had the kung pao chicken and crab rangoon, both were excellent and good size portions. Only one other person was there, and the service was good. The view of the water was also nice. Only complaint I have is that they charge extra for a small bowl for rice... other Chinese restaurants I frequent include it in the meal automatically. Would definitely stop back here again.

Great food, located on second floor down the ramp from inside Pike Place Market. Don't worry if the market closes they are not locked off when the shops are. Have the sesame bean paste desert very good and the Mongolian beef is tops. This is more Chinese less American Chinese

we stopped here for lunch when we were in the market, we were seated fairly quickly but after that were mostly ignored. we managed to get our food eventually but there were 3 things wrong with the order. my food was bland although my boyfriends was good. this didn't make up for the fact that the many waitresses seemed intent on ignoring us, despite there being only 3 tables occupied at the time. it was completely bizarre

The service was ok. Nothing exceptional. The food was good and was well served. For those who want a full, fast food without getting away from the main sights it is worth it.

Visiting from Vancouver, BC where average Chinese food is much better value and taste, we found Pike Place Chinese Restaurant has room for improvement considering the quality and the amazing and abundant local produce and seafood at their doorstep. We ordered a lunch special of shrimp and string beans over rice, a plate of salt and pepper squid and 2 glasses of iced milk tea. $50 USD including tips for 2 people. A far better meal would cost under $20 CDN and can be found all over Vancouver or Richmond, BC

A great variety of dumplings and buns. The flavors are authentic, and the tea selection is impressive. The wait times can be long, but it's worth it.

The three of us went for lunch. Entrees didn’t arrive at the same time. When the bill arrived an automatic 15% gratuity had already been added. Food was mediocre. They also don’t accept America Express.

Stopped in when the market was very quiet (may need to reserve during busy times). Food was excellent. Nice spot tucked away with "water" views. Great service... we forgot to mention a food allergy and they had to remove a dish - very gracious. I'd go back!

I went in for lunch with my 11 year old daughter. The waitress was very rude and didnt want to answer any questions. My daughter wanted the orange chicken and asked for Fried Rice instead of steamed rice. She said I will get you a big fried rice and walked away. She walked away quickly. We ordered the same time the people in the booth next to us ordered. They got their food and finished before we were served. I almost walked out but didnt because of my daughter. So the she brought out orange chicken on one plate and fried rice on another plate. Food was fair. After we got our food a mother and daughter sat near us, and she rushed there order too and didnt bring them what the order and they did walk out after being served. Once I got my check they over charged 2 dollars for my daughters meal from the menu and the charged her for the chicken fried rice for $10.50 even though that is not what she ordered. After dealing with the rude waitress again, I just paid the stupid price an left. I wouldn't go here if you wanted to be treated human or robbed.

Delish! From NY and hard to find quality Chinese food outside the NYC area but this was excellent! Serving size is for 2. No sides accompany the dishes, included steamed rice.

This place is small with good food. I often judge chinese food by the hot and sour soup, and this one was great. The mongolian beef was also very tasty, although maybe a bit sweet. The view looks out over Puget Sound. I think that is the only Chinese restaurant that I have been to that charges for hot Chinese tea ($2). They also put on a 15% tip.

Tiny place with fresh food. We had the cashew chicken , curry chicken and sweet and sour chicken. All cooked to order . Hot and sour soup came with the meal . Would have liked to come back and have their bbq buns... they fly out their take our window. We think it was a family business with everyone one working. It’s really fresh food .

We stopped in for a late lunch with our nephew and his wife. The restaurant is narrow, so the tables are small and everyone has to snuggle. The food was good and tasty. However, I must advise you to check your bill when it comes. We were a party of four and the tip was included without us being advised of it. If I had not checked we would've paid the tip twice. So go and eat, but check your bill!

The Pike Place Chinese Cuisine is the best in Chinese Food! Good Chinese Food, Good drinks & great service too! Good location!

General Tso was awesome, Orange Chicken was awesome, and the Honey Walnut Prawns were amazing. Service was okay but we had 10 people so kind of expected. I was told that fried rice wasn't anything special. I would go back here again every time to the Market. Very small place but it has a nice view.

We ordered "fresh" steamed salmon in oyster sauce as they said it was delicious done in this Chinese way. We expected nice steamed, juicy tender salmon but It was tasteless, overlooked and horrible. Their explanation..."it all depend on fish we get" also "maybe cook not do it right today" (written as it was spoken). Our response - well maybe if he can't steam salmon he shouldn't be the one steaming it then? And why say fresh salmon if it isn't? Sorry but isn't your restaurant in the market place where they sell fresh fish? Avoid this place. Waste of money. Way better places to go. And it wasn't cheap. Also flies circling over food.

Food was tasty. The atmosphere wonderful. I truly enjoyed my time here. I can go back again and again

We ate here several years ago and wanted to come back when we went to the market to see the flying fish. Downstairs by the bathrooms, it is easy to find. Cozy and we shared some bowls of soup. The pot stickers were pan fried and the curry chicken was very good. You get a good view of the sound.

Had lunch there, which was okay. Nothing special. Location is good, that’s about it. But watch your bill - AFTER you give them your credit card for your food, they add additional charges to your final bill. There are so many other great restaurants at Pike Place, why be scammed?

Don't bother.....they are rude....waited 30min for soup and she brought my bill without serving my dinner....Awful.....just awful

The sesame shrimp with lemon sauce was amazing. So fresh and good. Potstickers and egg rolls were also hot and excellent. Service was quick and friendly. My son had a dish with a variety of seafood, tofu and chicken and it was also excellent.

The view from this little hole-in-the-wall in Pike Place is fantastic! However, the food is average at best, and the service is awful. I think they must know this, because they tack a 12.5% service charge onto the bill instead of leaving a tip up to you. Also, they charge for every item, including those that are generally included in the entree price at most Chinese restaurants-like steamed rice...

We saw this place while walking by, and decided to have lunch. The food was amazing, and fresh. Portions were large and prices were very reasonable. Service was very attentive. We will definitely return.

Don’t let the size of this place fool you. It’s small in size but big on taste! We absolutely loved everything we tried. Won ton soup, fried rice, rice noodles, pot stickers and orange chicken. Nothing disappointed! Service was great and friendly. Food was fresh and hot, made to order. I would eat here again without hesitation it was fantastic.

Fresh food vegetables and fish dishes we got . Big portions . It is fast service with small view of the bay

Fun to see all the vendors and things they are selling. Kind of crowded and the prices weren't the best [except for the flowers].

We visited Pike's Market on Sunday 5/19/13 and it was a mob scene, it took quite a long time to walk around because you were literally shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the people. We saw a stairway headed down to a lower level and passed a small Chinese restaurant where we saw most of the tables filled with Chinese people. We walked around a little more looking for a restaurant and finally said to ourselves lets go back to the little Chinese place--it must be good if the Chinese people are eating there. And we were right. Lunch menu is $9.25 to $10.00 Entrees. The only downside is that they only offer about 10 entrees. It is served with a soup. Service is fast and efficient. Food portions are on the small side but they were delicious. It is fast paced so it is not a place where you hang around. You sit, you order, you eat, you pay and you go. Service was fast and efficient. Two entrees, a soda and a hot tea plus tax came up to about $30. It was a welcome respite from the mad crowds roaming the market.

We went in for lunch and it was great! Great view over Pudget Sound😊 Real Chinese food of good quality and friendly staff. Soup plus main dish for 10$

The Meat Hung Baos are great BBQ pork is tender and tasty Sesame balls are light and tender Recommend this place for one and all View of the sound is worth the price alone and service is excellent

We happened upon this tiny restaurant by chance while visiting the market on a crowded day - we ducked in hoping to find lunch. Three of us were quickly offered a small table with a great view of Seattle harbor and we were right across from the rice cooker. Our orders of beef and broccoli (2) and cashew chicken (fabulous) were all served with rice. We agreed that it was some of the best Chinese food we've eaten. Service was quick and very efficient. We saw that tables quickly filled up when diners left after their meals. Highly recommend this restaurant. (Groups larger than 4 may have problems sitting together.)

Liked the garlic chicken a lot, okay table, pretty warm by the windows. Just one thing that bothered me, money grabbers, ordered a pop, and when almost done, waitress offered a refill, I said sure, and was charged for it, damn!

We had the chefs recommended dishes and they were good. We had 3 main courses, soup and a vegetable dish for $76.

Pike Place Chinese Cuisine - We have been to China and eaten in "Real Chinese" restaurants, and this is as close to that as we have come in the United States. First, you have to know, that Chinese Food we eat here is not Chinese Food. Neither is what you eat in China, when you take a tour, because, like here, they adjust the menu to fit American tastes. We reviewed this restaurant for our blog at http://www.thisisnewengland.com/2015/06/pikes-place.html If you want Chinese, then go here.

I've been going here for lunch for years. Probably once every month or two. I worked in downtown Seattle for 18 years and know this city VERY well! This is probably the best Chinese restaurant in the city. Not fancy best, but food quality best. I have had better Chinese, but not in Seattle. I don't understand why Seattle has such terrible Chinese restaurants. They have a large Chinese and Asian community. You would think they would have some of the best Chinese restaurants on the west coast! Just like San Francisco or Vancouver, BC. But they don't. Even in Seattle's International District (Chinatown) I was never able to find good Chinese food. This place is very good and the best you're going to find in Seattle. If you're willing to drive three hours north and cross the border into Canada you'll find a plethora of better Chinese restaurants in Vancouver. The hot and sour soup here is great as well as the Mongolian beef and kung pao chicken. The rice always fresh. The egg rolls always crispy, hot and never greasy. In 17 years I never once found hair in my food as another reviewer claims. And if I had, I have no doubt the professional staff would have brought me out a fresh plate of chicken as the other reviewer said she had been offered. I would have gladly paid for what I had ordered as the restaurant comped me with a fresh plate and made an honest attempt to correct the situation. I would not have attempted to scam the place to get out of paying my bill for food I didn't like. Anyway the service was always friendly, professional and quick. If you want Chinese food in the city this is the place to go.

My mom and I were shopping in the market and stumbled on this place at lunchtime. They have a terrific view so we decided to try it out. Lunch specials were good, especially the eggplant. Highly recommend if you are looking for a sit down option in Pike Place Market.

This is a great little find in Pike Place Market.. very small place but has great fresh Chinese food. Always clean and the service is always very good, the prices are really good as well. Great little lunch menu and soup comes with it.. the Garlic Chicken is really good. The place is on the second level of the market so it might be hard to find at first.. but great window seats to view the water front area. Anytime I'm in Seattle and I get a chance to visit the market, we stop here for lunch if we want Chinese.

wandering around trying to decide where to grab a bite to eat before catching a movie and stumbled on this place in Pike Place Market. It is wide enough to have about 4booths on one side of a walkway, and 4 tables (for 4) on the other side, sandwiched between glass walls. Without glass walls I could not have stood being in the place as I am so claustrophobic. Nice view of the harbour at sunset though. We didn't want a big meal so opted for a fresh dungeness crab stir fried with ginger, garlic and scallions, a plate of stir fried asaparagus and steamed rice. Very nice options. These were all on the fresh sheet, and were clearly extremely fresh, and came fast too. What a messy meal, though - cracking crab legs that have been cooked in a stir fry with a sauce, is not a tidy meal. Not cheap though....

This place is located on the lower level of Pike Place Market. It might be hard to find but it's worth the search--- the food is amazing! And the view of Elliott Bay is pretty incredible as well. Go early before the lunch crowd. Try the salt and pepper fried squid--- so good!

The view is great, Pike Place Market is great, but the location in the Market is right across from the restrooms so its kinda smelly. The food is average. There is no possible way any of the meal is 'fresh'. The Mongolian Beef arrived 3 minutes after placing the order. General Tao's Chicken 30 seconds later.

This place has some amazing fare, and they deliver which is pretty spectacular. If you need a break from walking the market, this is pretty good spot to do it.

Looking for place to eat for lunch, we stumbled upon this closet of a restaurant. We had a lunch special. I had the cashew chicken with rice and my wife had the rock cod fillet vegetable with rice and we were both very content. The only soup served with this special was sweet and sour which was very unique to us. We had somewhat of a view of Puget Sound. Service was a bit bizarre, but we had a decent, nutritious, memorable lunch.

Small Chinese restaurant in the Pike Place market that offers a wide selection, but the quality of the dishes is just average. Easy to stop by for a quick meal. I asked my hotel concierge for the best Chinese food in the downtown and this was his suggestion.

We loved the steamed sea bass - it was cooked perfectly. We also shared an appetizer plate - they only thing I did not like was the pork but that is probably just me. The family members were friendly and helpful. I was a good spot to take a rest from the market and enjoy the view.

It was just like one of my favorite tiny restaurants in Hong Kong. The owners were awesome. The food was perfect. I now live in a small town in Oregon and was craving real Chines food. This hit the spot. The walnut shrimp and the wonton soup could not have been more authentic. Perfect. Thank Pike Place! I needed that!

Before moving back to California I patronized this place for YEARS during lunch from the office. At least once a month I would walk the five blocks to come here. I hate to say Seattle has typically terrible Chinese restaurants. Truly, despite a large Asian population good Chinese food in Seattle is damned near impossible to find, even in the international district. I've known and worked with many Asians in Seattle too, and the advise is nearly universal, "drive up to Vancouver, BC for really great Chinese restaurants!" This restaurant is the exception. Best Mongolian beef ever, and their Kung pao chicken is to die for. Hot & sour soup is best I've ever had. Potstickers and egg rolls are amazing. Really great Chinese food. Not had a bad meal here. Large lunch selections too. They're very popular and can fill up during the lunch hour. The restaurant is small and atmosphere a bit on the funky side. The place looks a like a dive but it's NOT. Appearances are deceiving here. The gps map on TA doesn't quite get the location right. They're in the main market down on the second level. Right at the bottom of the north steps. As for their service, I have always found the owners and servers friendly, outgoing and professional. English is obviously their second language and there's been occasional MINOR misunderstanding while talking. The order taking has always been spot on however. The servers joke and smile and remember the regulars. Yet I've sat there watching them, while eating my lunch, patiently deal with the lost tourist, or first time customer with efficient, friendly and professional customer service. Explaining the menu, preparation, and accommodating special requests. I've even seen them occasionally bring children a little extra treat for no charge at the end of the meal. And I've watched them maintain their professionalism and patience when rude customers come in believing they (and typically their child) should be the center of the waitress' undivided attention; for a full hour during a full restaurant lunch service ignoring everyone else. Overall I can't speak more highly off this place, the food and the staff service. I would recommend this place to anyone.

This is worth finding. Pleasant wait staff and a really good menu from Mongolian Chicken to steamed salmon to Cod. By the time we were leaving they were hopping busy. They even run a take out window on the side that adjoins the inside walkway. Very cleans, good prices.

The food was good but overpriced, The sesame balls with red bean paste very disappointing. The moon cake was good. I don't know what the tax is at pike's market but it is pricey. Nice view of the water.

The food was good, fast service and cooking time( we was aloneat the restaurant) but was really fast, price affordable.

By late afternoon with no food, we were very hungry and happened upon this place. The food was good, the service was good, and the place had nice views from the big windows. They do add an automatic gratuity, so just be aware of that. I would eat here again if ever in the area.

Great spot with a walk-up window or inside seating with a view. I love the red bean paste sesame balls.

Just had lunch here. Yikes. Asked for water and they only have bottled water. No tap water. Made us wonder how they wash their hands and dishes. The food was mediocre as we expected. Chicken chow mein was primarily noodles and astonishingly flavor free. The Kung Pao chicken was not hot at all, free of flavor and the chicken thigh meat was a suspicious texture. Charged $3 extra for rice. $50 for two mediocre plates of food and no beverages. Surely you can find someplace better to eat.

Our second time here, did not disappoint. Good food in sizeable portions, fairly fast. Diner-type atmosphere. Kinda a hole in the wall, but very busy! Give it a try when at Pike Place Market!

We called in here for the lunchtime menu and I had the sweet and sour chicken which was nice however my husband picked off the main menu and it was the worst he's ever sampled. Do yourself a favour and try elsewhere

Simply put I loved it. Great view. Small place but friendly and the food was the Best. Hands down the best moo shoo pork I have ever had. My girlfriend had three ingredients. So fresh shrimp and scallops. I will eat here everytime I come to Seattle.

Visiting seattle solo, i opted for delivery to my hotel after reading mixed reviews. I ordered the orange chicken and fried rice. Pros: Delivery was quick, portions were large. I was craving the usual greasy chinese which i definitely got. Free fortune cookies were a plus. Cons: soggy, not crispy chicken due to the grease. Rice was bland. This is what others were happy about but i really dont get the yellow rice? Good for cheap, no fuss chinese

This place was such a wonderful surprise! Just below the main market level (across the hall from the public washrooms). A great view, comfortable atmosphere and tasty, fresh and very affordable food. I highly recommend the shrimp and green beans - fat, juicy, garlicky shrimp and just-crisp green beans, with perfect rice - it was total perfection, and even included a small cup of soup to start.

PIke Place Chinese is a strange little hidden gem in the busy market.. on first glance it looks uninteresting and tiny, but don't be fooled! The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and SO fast. I've been seated, my order taken, and my food recieved in less time than at fast food restaurants... I come here usually about once a month because I just can't stay away. Highly recommend the house chow mein and fried rice!!

What a great place! The food was awesome, we had crispy orange beef and pineapple chicken fried rice. YUM!! Very tasty, fresh. The service was great. Had a great view of the waterfront as we dined. Was definitely an excellent choice, we just wandered in.

This is a small restaurant in one of the lower level areas of Pike Place. I had read a positive review of it in The Los Angeles Times newspaper and am glad I decided to try it out. The lunch was about $10 and included hot and sour soup, rice, fresh string beans, and steamed shrimp in a tasty sauce. I went back again the next day because it was so good.

We stumbled across this place when we couldn't find places open to have dinner in Pike Place market. The waitress told us that they were about to close so we had to order right away - didn't even get to sit down! We asked for tap water but she said they only had bottled water. We had a good view of the waterfront and our chow mein dishes were fine (can't go much wrong with these) but the formica table was sticky and there was no service to speak of. Yet, they added 15% "gratuity" without showing us the itemized bill. She only printed it out when I queried the total on the credit card bill. Unsuspecting customers would add a figure on the blank "tip" line on the credit card print-out! Beware.

We ordered the spicy Garlic Crab and oh wow it was delicious. We also ordered fried rice for our daughter who is 1 and she loved it. It is a tiny restaurant but they have great service. I would definitely eat there again when visiting Pike Place.

I hate when Chinese places just toss in all the vegetables in every dish. Here you get a nice dish with some kind of meat and a veg in a light sauce. The hot and sour soup was very good and the view is terrific. Great prices.

This was our second visit. Not the easiest to fine but worth the search. Good view, excellent service and wonderful food. The prawns with honey walnuts was exquisite and I would go back again tomorrow if I were still in town! My wife’s cashew chicken was quite good and the portions were plentiful- almost too much for lunch.

Good, hot and tasty food. Reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Quick service. Small area but this is the public market and everything is small.

Stopped in for BBQ pork steamed buns and tea. Server was REALLY put out that that was all we wanted. Place was half empty so it wasn't like we were holding anyone up. Our buns were on their way out until the phone rang. She stopped and talked for over 5 minutes before the other server brought them to us. They were good but not worth the crappy (I'm being generous here) service. Don't waste your time. In fact we're rethinking our trip to China now and I'm Asian.

We were craving some good Chinese food this vacation in Seattle. Pike Place Chinese Cuisine delivered it, we got the General Tsao's Chicken and Salt and Pepper Squid. Both dishes were great and service was solid.
New interior, same excellent food
Pleased by a recent visit to Pike Place Chinese. They have brightened the interior with fresh paint and the food is still dependably good. A window seat gets you a view of Elliott Bay. Windows on the interior side open to the hallway in Pike Place Market and I watch people strolling by, looking in, unable to decide if they should give it a try. The restaurant is small and very narrow and I often wish I could just wave people in---it really is good, a nice lunch menu and the food always arrives steaming hot.
