Overall one of the best choices

We came here on the recommendation of a friend. She was right. It was a cute little place with amazing food. I ordered the pistachio pasta which was the most amazing pasta ever. and then my friend had the meat balls, which were also so so good.

Happy find

The pink onion in San fransico was a happy random find for me after a visit to nearby standard deviant brewery. A tiny but well decorated spot with some limited outdoor seating, this place was hopping and I was only lucky enough to snag a seat because I was dining alone. The pink onion serves pizza and serves it well. Their Sicilian style was a bit sweet for my taste, but the Guido was superb and rivaled pizza I've had in Italy. A half carafe of wine was also welcomed by this solo diner. In a city famous for its high prices, the pink onion was refreshingly priced, the atmosphere was vibrant and fun, mostly locals who had been here before, and the owner himself was present and actively engaged with patrons. A wonderful experience I hope to repeat on future visits!

Awesome restaurant great food, great atmosphere and amazing service. The prices were quite reasonable and it’s definitely a hidden gem small cozy and a great vibe. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that lives in the city or visits it.💯

We came out fat and happy

I had been meaning to try this place and we finally got around to it. It's a cute little place with a few tables and a bar with a family feel to it. It's easy to get vegetarian pizza here and no problem to veganize. We wanted the Giavanni (eggplant, garlic, and basil). Not only wasn't it a problem to ditch the mozzarella, but he said (1) we could go to next door Rainbow Grocery for vegan cheese and he'd be happy to put it on (we declined) and (2) he would use a separate pizza slicer to avoid cross-contamination. That's cool! They checked in with us multiple times to make sure we were OK and to fill our glasses. We came out fat and happy and looking forward to returning another time.

Hipster bar with Sicilian food

Cool bar, great staff, good food. Great spot for meeting friends for a good meal and drinks. Very authentic food, very fresh. Great Parma and burrata, salad, fresh pasta. If you are a fan of the Sicilian pizza they make authentic thick pies, their thin crust pizza is also good, heavier than most Vera napolitano styles. Great combo toppings

Great pizza, fun vibe

We came here for dinner Monday night . The place is small, but there is outdoor seating. We had 2 different pizzas and the small size was plenty big . We also shared the avocado salad that was delicious. The tap wine was also very good. Loved the service and the vibe.

Order the meal deal and you can get beer or a bottle of wine. Amazing dishes here. Everything is made top quality but with reasonable prices. It is next level for sure.

Great pizza and food!

We read great reviews on this restaurant on Yelp and decided to come here. We had 11 people in our party and we walked right in and sat down as they were not busy that night. It's a little bitty restaurant with a great atmosphere and good music. I was a little hesitant to go because of the name pink onion, and I do not like onions! Lol, but I'm glad to report this place was great! Didn't taste any onions that's for sure! The pizza was great the sauces and cheese were authentic and fresh. Will definitely come back here when we are in San Francisco again :)

Anniversary

My wife and I are on vacation for our anniversary and we wanted pizza! We looked into Pink Onion and HOLY MOLY this place did not disappoint! It is a very small local business with one girl running the bar and dining area! The staff was very attentive and kind! The food was amazing! We ordered a pepperoni pizza with light sauce. The pizza had very crispy crust with a warm soft center. The pepperoni was very lightly salted. Overall this place was amazing! If you’re in town or live in the area I recommend this place!

This was one of our favorites on our recent trip to San Francisco. It was a quick Uber from the financial district. The food was soooooo good. Prices are very reasonable. Service was superior. Don’t hesitate to try this restaurant.

The food was top notch, the small laid back feel was exactly what we wanted. What made this place truly great was the amazing staff. They were helpful and fun. We told them we were from WV and within minutes Country Roads was playing and we all sang along. Great little place, run don’t walk to get dinner here!

This is an excellent Italian restaurant with fair prices, they have a great combo: small pizza, pasta, salad and dessert. What great options they have for pizzas, and you certainly will love the tiramisu!!!

Great find with chill vibes!

Great place not far from the San Francisco Caltrain station. Very popular and so one needs to book quite in advance, but we walked in last minute and had a wait time of about 7-10 minutes. They offer a sweet deal on Wednesdays - a pizza, pasta, salad, dessert and bottle of wine for USD 60! Several nice vegetarian options!
