Lovely Peruvian Dining !

By 52MarthaP |

Hubby and I and our daughter and son-in-law went for an early dinner. Cuisine is Peruvian-influenced, as is the cocktail list. I had grilled sirloin with rice and french fries. All was delish! Hubby had cod with a delicious rich dipping sauce and veggies. The atmosphere is quiet and you are surrounded by flickering pink salt candle holders and lowlit walls! It is quiet, relaxing and romantic.

fabulous food

My husband got a rez during the restaurant week and it was our first visit. It seems like a neighborhood place rather than a destination so we did not have any expectation. We liked the place as soon as we walked in; it was packed and it felt warm and cozy. The waiter was efficient and attentive. There was this salad with quinoa, mango and asparagus and it was full of flavors. My husband had beef for dinner and it was super tender and generous in portion. My cod was equally good but the portion was on the small side so I was left a bit hungry. Fortunately the dessert saved the day. The passion fruit flan finished off a lovely meal. We had a hard day at work and this dining experience lifted all the stress away. We are so happy that we tried this place and look forward to return to try other dishes on the menu.

Excellent Peruvian cuisine in a lovely setting.

Pink Salt is a lovely restaurant in so many ways. The building interior design is visually stunning: the staff are friendly and deliver excellent service, but wow, the best part is the superb the food and drinks. We went to celebrate our 53rd anniversary so it was a very special occasion. We enjoyed perfect pisco sours made with fresh lime juice and good pisco and shared four of the starters. We asked that they bring out the dishes one at a time and they brought us excellent ceviche first, then a Japanese/Peruvian raw tuna sashimi-like dish, then perfectly grilled octopus, and finally 2 skewers of wonderful tender grilled beef. Each one had a different sauce. To us, it was perfection. We will be back and bring friends. Bravo.

Excellent Peruvian food

This was a hidden gem we just found in our new neighborhood. The food is fantastic and the decor is great. Definitely recommend.

Wonderful night under the stars!

By AlumniDog84 |

My wife, two adult children and I ate there on a Sunday night. We opted for outdoor sitting. We started with traditional pisco sours and enjoyed appetizers of causa de cangrejo, calimiari and stuffed yucca. All were excellent, but we especially found the yucca to be great. My wife had a pesto rissoto with tenderloin of beef - outstanding! My son and I had the traditional favorite of aji de gallina - as good as it gets. My daughter had arroz con mariscos with excellent fresh seafood. We shared a suspiro de limeña - out of this world. Great, attentive service from the entire staff and the owners. This is a gem! Can't wait to go back!

Why haven’t we tried this before ?

Why haven’t we tried this place before ??? Everything was excellent from the ceviches to the Lomo Saltado and the desserts. Service was friendly and always present without any pressure.

Finally a nice and good Peruvian place in Seattle!

By Helmut |

There are a few good Peruvian places in the area, but they are either simple holes in the wall or so fusion that the Peruvian aspect is an afterthought for the purists. Pink Salt manages to bridge this gap with excellent elevated Peruvian food paired with a nice setting. All dishes tried were delicious. It is the small details that matter to me. For example, tallarin verde was a childhood memory for me. You can get that in a lot of places, but with home-made pasta, it is next level. The bar and drinks menu is pretty nice as well. Finally a place I can take customers to! Only gripe: service was a little slow. Still, definitely coming back.

Anniversary Celebration

By Annie Wong |

We just went there tonight for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The food and service they provided are incredible ! They even went out to make sure we get our fresh bread ! I would highly recommend this place and to bring my families and friends there. I can't wait to go back again 💕

Poor

Easter Brunch. I looked at the reviews and drove 30 minutes to try this restaurant. Service was OK. I wondered at the food safety rating posted which was OK, not Good or Excellent. The food was expensive and the only thing that was good was the basic green salad. My fish had bones all through it and was greasy. My husbands fish made him sick. This was a first and last time here.

Hot New Restaurant in Magnolia

By Cheryl M |

A shout out to a fabulous new restaurant in Magnolia Village. I had dinner there last night and everything about it was fantastic. The new interior is great, that bar wall is over the top, the food was delicious and the energy in the restaurant was so fun to be a part of. My friend and I had never had Peruvian food and it is very, very tasty. Corino and Ana Sofia are amazing hosts. Thanks for bringing back a great dining spot to our neighborhood.

great find

Hungry after hiking discovery park, we stumbled on this wonderful restaurant. Delicious authentic Peruvian dishes. Decor was beautiful inside but we were happy to find the casual dog friendly patio.

Dinner with Friends

By Henry F |

We recently had dinner at Magnolia Village with good friends. We a nice rose wine and snacked on what I think was roasted pumpkin seeds. My wife ordered the Estofado de Pollo (chicken breast) and I ordered the Causa de Cangrejo (whipped potato layered with Dungeness crab meat). The chicken was very good, but the crab dish was not good at all. We would go back to try some of their other interesting looking entrees.

PERUVIAN-Go for the Pisco Sours, stay for the meal.(PS - they have a happy hour)

By Cynthia W |

Peruvian Restaurant. We started with the Pisco Sours, and ended with the food. A great evening, wonderful service. The food was well explained on the menu. The prices very reasonable. They have stayed authentic but allowed options for people who aren't very adventuresome. The added bonus is the time they take for the plate presentation. A very special evening indeed. Below is some things we ordered. Parking is right on front on the street. We had reservations, but didn't need on a Sunday evening. They have a beautiful seating area at their bar, including a nice fireplace and some couches. We started at the bar and ended up at a table. Waitress was very sweet and attentive, Clean restrooms and restaurant. Neighborhood well lit and felt safe. Meals we ordered below: 1 of our best appetizers; Causa De Cangrjo- whipped beet/potato with avocado. Also the tuna was good. I had the Tallarin Pasta con Pollo - chicken grilled with homemade pasta in a fresh spinach pesto. Delicious. 1 of us got Cordero Pachamanquero; lamb, roasted potatoe and herbs with rice. (this presentation was wonderful) the roasted potatoe to die for, the lamb cooked to perfection. We got two other meals all were delicious.

Underwhelmed

We recently went here on a Saturday evening. We wanted to try somewhere new to us, and the reviews made this look good. I have to say the restaurant is lovely inside. It is just a nice, warm atmosphere. Our waitress was very efficient, if a little abrupt. We just were not impressed by the food. It was good, but it just wasn't memorable. And the portions were very small. We started with the grilled octopus appetizer. It was really good. For entrees we tried the chicken and the mushroom wontons. The wontons were pretty bland, and it was more of an appetizer than entree. I was still hungry after dinner. The chicken also just didn't have those flavors we expect from Peruvian cuisine. It was almost like everything was "tamped down", maybe to cater to American taste buds that can't handle true flavors? We love Peruvian cuisine, but this just didn't really measure up. Sorry.

Another Seattle attempt to be Posh. but just a large bill for ok small portioned food.

By TName DName |

Nice place nice atmosphere, food is ok, not great. and small portioned. some ridiculously small for the price. Seems Seattle places think the decore is part of the bill. drinks were ok. not well mixed. the wine was expensive for moderate wine. The staff was pleasant.

Great food and drinks, wonderful service!

Great food and drinks, wonderful service. We tried La Mar a month ago and location is not everything, La Mar is a fancier restaurant but you will get a n attentive and personalized service from Rodrigo and Manny, and the food is really good, better than La Mar. Kudos to Punk Salt!

One of the best restaurants in Seattle!!

By SoccerStar |

One of the best restaurants in Seattle specially Thursday nights when they have live music. Food is excellent with blend of Peruvian, Japanese and Italian all in one place. Owner is very charming and the staff is very friendly.

Some nice items and a drink that makes you pucker up

By Eva |

I love their grilled octopus and Pisco Sour, especially the spicy one. The yuka fritas were a bit thick and not as crunchy as they should be. The ceviche was ok but I prefer the one at the place in Lynwood. Service attentive and ambiance nice. If your in the neighborhood, with a visit.

Wonderful new restaurant in Magnolia

By jelenalevin35 |

We visited this restaurant for my birthday and were not disappointed. Great cocktails to start with, good selection of wine and amazing food! It has it all. Every course we had was excellent. The service was great and decor is lovely too. A must go for everyone who lives in the area.

Wonderful upscale meal, yet reasonably priced!

By Jessica G |

My husband and I ate there last night, we are not familiar with Peruvian food but definitely are fans today! The place is spacious, you don't feel cramped and the hostess was gracious, she made us feel welcomed and relaxed. The hostess is the owner along with her husband, she is from Peru, him Sicily. We absolutely love family owned restaurants, the service and food are far superior. There is a pride of ownership you don't find is larger places. We asked the waitress what wine would be best to pair with dinner, she advised us to get the 2015 Nebbiolo. The wine was excellent, it paired beautifully with our main dishes. For entrees we had the "Arroz con Mariscos", a seafood rice dish and the "Estofado de Polo", chicken stew with vegetables. The first course we split the "Causa de Alcachofa", an appetizer of whipped potatoes with artichokes. I liked this so much I plan to order my own next time. We ended the meal with “Helado de Pisco", a gelato served with a sugar cookie which they paired with a white port. I asked how they knew their wine and paring so well and the owner told me the waitress serving the other tables is studying for her first Sommelier exam that she plans to take soon. We are definitely coming back, an exquisite meal for about $150 with tip!

Everyone Needs To Eat Here, Please!

By Kathy B |

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! I found this place doing an internet search and I'm so glad. We've been to Peru once, so wanted to check out this place. We had no wait time and our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The appetizers, salad, entree, and dessert all were above and beyond. I loved the pictures of alpacas. We will be back!

Wonderful Neighborhood Restaurant

What a welcome addition to our neighborhood. The atmosphere is light and eclectic. The wine list is small but contains an excellent selection. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful. This is a must-visit in Magnolia.

LOVE

By Katelyn R |

I have been here twice now. And since April of 2024, I've been dreaming when I can have this dish again. It is mouthwatering and filled with flavor. Food was hot the entire meal. I am normally not a pesto person and claim I don't like mushrooms, THIS WAS A GAME CHANGER. I'm new to eating Octopus, but this was also a great dish. Service has been great both times I have gone. Love the ambiance. Definitely on my must go to stops when coming to Washington

Wow, we have been all over the world eating different foods but this place is so special. We visited here a few times to make sure we really like it. The seafood is so fresh, I do not know how they do it. The flavors are out of this word. The drinks are fabulous The place so clean The couple who own the place are absolute delight! Must visit....
