Great food and great beer!!!

By Chris H |

This pizza was awesome. Went there based on a recommendation from a friend. Glad we did!!! Their beer is brewed on site and also tastes amazing.

PInthouse Pizza - pretty good spot for beer.

By Jshafran |

Better than average pizza. Very wide election of beers offered. Some in state some from across the country. Loud, as expected. Long communal type tables. Young crowd.

Decent but overpriced

By wick1979 |

Be careful when ordering only there beers are cheap. We ordered a couple pitchers of the guest beers $48 a pitcher was a straight rip off. Pizza was good we shared an Armadillo 18 which was plenty of food. House beer was good we did there saison which was better than the guest saison we had and an 1/8 of the price. Live and learn.

Delicious Pizza

By AQueenB |

We met for a birthday celebration and the place was packed. Luckily we were able to sit outside. And we were there at 5:00 pm! When we left, the parking lot was full as was the restaurant. So be forewarned. But the pizza and pepperoni rolls are worth waiting for. The salads were crisp and delicious as well. And despite the fact that the staff was super busy, the service was excellent. A fun time.

Great Place

By MSN64 |

Let's face it, good service in Austin is spotty. Not so at Pint House Pizza. Of all of the places that I frequent regularly in Austin, Pint House Pizza on Burnet Rd. is by far the best. No matter how slammed they are (and this place gets really busy) the service is always great. Everyone always says "hi", calls me by name, and remembers my favorite beers. The beer here is excellent. When they first opened I avoided this place because their focus was on hoppy beers and that's a fad that I'm just not into. But they have expanded their selection and I've opened my mind a bit and there is always something good here to drink. I prefer drinking their house-brewed beers, but if nothing there strikes your fancy they are bound to have something you will like on their rotating guest taps. Their pizza is very good (no, it's not the best in Austin) and it pairs nicely with the beer and the exceptional service. They have recently added more parking and the crowds are a small price to pay for such a special place.

State Meet

By Donald C |

Really enjoyed Pinthouse Pizza. I was wanted a real down to earth pizza not the normal so I saw this place and reviewed it on yelp and it scored very high. I don't normally drink been but I was tired and been in the sun. The been and cannonball pizza was Grreat. Definitely going back

Pinthouse Pizza - a great spot for pizza

By JMMcD |

Pinthouse Pizza - a great spot for pizza. We had several great individual pizzas at the Pinthouse. Enjoy the casual atmosphere and the food.

Good pizza and great selection of brews.

By mimudbrazil |

A popular location, but the layout and process make it easy to order food, order brews and get served. Tables are long "picnic" style, but there was still plenty of room for us to eat comfortably. Salad was good, pizzas were all good and the brews were good. Overall a good experience, would return.

Excellent selection and quality

By Garrett G |

I was blown away by the selection with 16 house beers at the time on tap, plus 20-30 more guests and about a dozen or so amazing pizzas. Atmosphere that Monday night was great with a diverse crowd with younger and older folks alike getting together for a brewski, plus families with small children. Fun for everyone and did I mention the beer and pizza is all top notch? If I lived here I'd come all the time because according to their board they make about ten new beers or so a month plus their flagships. Couldn't recommend more

Beer and pizza, how can you lose?

By Victor T |

This beer traveler dragged the wife and daughter on another of his "ooh, let's go here" places, and even they were patting me on the back afterwards. House-brewed beers were very diverse and delicious, and tons of guest taps also. You can also fill growlers to take some of the awesomeness home with you. But don't skip out on the pizza! Perhaps the best I have ever had. Perfect blend of sauce and fresh topping, but even this pan-crust fan was overwhelmed by the not-too-thin crust. Don't know what they put in it, but I could have eaten just crust and been happy. Pinthouse Pizza is now on my must-visit list whenever I go to Austin. Great work, guys!

Nothing like good suds & pizza

By DoubleM2 |

Not a quiet place, but the roar of laughter, merriment and good times! A great selection of beers (if you are into that kinda stuff!) and really good (did I say good?), I mean "great" selections of pizza. I am a meat eater so I always go for the same one every time, and yet, have never been disappointed. You share indoor picnic tables with strangers, but before the night is over, they are friends.

Best hand-tossed pizza in Austin

By Peaches |

In 2013, Pinthouse quickly won over my "I prefer Neopolitan-style pizza" stance because their crust is so delicious. I love the variety in toppings and the beer is awesome. The only thing I don't recommend is the queso. Tried several times and it feels like it's missing something.

Great Lunch

By Jeff K |

I stopped here for lunch on a Friday. The pizza was very good as was the beer selection. They had 7 or 8 of their own beers on tap and a lot of guest beers, some of which I had not seen before. You order food and beer at separate counters. The food counter worked well but there was always a long line for beer and the place wasn’t that crowded. Hopefully they have more bartenders when it gets busy. That said, I really liked the place and hope to return.

Beer fail

By Teresa O |

Lot of open parking in the back, even found some shade on thus summer day. Seating us picnic bench style with good AC very important, we had a good wait on our pizza but they were not busy. Wide selection of beer just not any of non IPA, or sour beer i fave up and selected a cola with my pizza. We ordered a 14" for two people we still had some unfinished. We will continue our quest for good beer in Austin.

I Went to Heaven and Came Back

By George A |

Pinthouse Pizza owners must have been sprinkled with pixie dust, seen a unicorn or figured out where the end of the rainbow is because they have solved the greatest mystery known to beer lovers. How build and staff the perfect restaurant that provides beerologists and pizza lovers with one fantastic place where the whole family including grandma/pa and small children will enjoy some thing. Long paragraphs aside, thank you to the one who not only conceived this establishment but made sure it came to fruition. I had The Green Belt pizza which includes red sauce, cheese, ricotta, spinach, mushrooms, onions, green peppers, garlic, Kalamata olives, poblano peppers, cherry tomatoes. It was a wonderful medley of flavors. I tried two beers. Burro's Breakfast is a good smooth tasting lager. I call it an all day beer. I also had the Iron-Genny which is a Pale Ale and hoppy....in a good way. The restaurant has picnic table seating which adds to the comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

Heard it was the Best!!

By Leia A |

I have heard that this place is the place to visit when I come to Austin and can't agree more!! I loved the atmosphere and we went on a weekday which was less crowded then what they say it is on the weekend. Parking wasn't bad when we went. It's small though. The fountain drinks were yummy, prices are spot on for the pizza ingredients, size and taste! We ordered the pepperoni, basil and pineapple and the pizza roll. Delicious!! There is a small area for some arcade games and lots of seating space. I enjoyed our visit here and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend coming to get your fix of pizza!!

The BEST

By Kimberly LaMarre |

The best pizza, the best service, the best beer selection, the best sports watching. And parking is available (always a bonus in Austin).

Fab Glutin free pizza

The food was all fresh and delist! Loved the GF pizza! The pizza rolls were good. Also, the salads are fresh!

Not worth it!

By Jenny L |

While the atmosphere is great, the process of sitting down and eating here is a nightmare! After ordering from a large menu over the checkout counter, you have to stand around waiting for a table space to clear up. Besides a few individual tables near the windows and bar area, all the other seating is at long, family-style tables in the dining room. Since everyone else is also hovering and waiting for a space, you literally have to fight someone else for a space. Several times our party of four didn't make it to a space soon enough and were left standing around, being seated long after people who ordered after us. We finally stood next to a table while a family finished up their food. Even then, someone else tried to swoop in and sit down while we were sitting down. Madness! We had to ask to get the table wiped as they are inadequately staffed to keep up with the constant changeover in seating. For the stress of finding a table, the food was just not worth it. The pizza was just okay. I would much rather go to a restaurant where I get seated at a clean table and then have my food brought out to me. And again, we felt the pressure of people hovering over us while we finished eating. I would not come here again!

Incredible Pizza and Beer

By SenateBean |

Had a family and friends going away one night and had a blast. Beer was ice cold and perfectly poured. Pizza was out of this world. Overall we just had a fantastic time at this place.

Man O'War & pizza!

By Gene L |

Great place with a nice craft beer selections. Pizza was fresh and tasty. Good place to hang out. Thanks

Great Pizza and Cola! Didn't try the beer (this time)

By Lester Ojeda |

Straight up - GREAT people and GREAT pizza. The ambience is nice, laid back, not a hole in the wall but not snobby either (in Austin, this is a relief). We tried the "Ooh la la", " cannonball" and "the works" - which we rated in that order as well (they're all good, that 1st one was amazing though). The colas are all locally made so no Coke or Pepsi, or any other commercial brand for that matter - and they were good too (root beer was awesome). Really can't stress enough the quality of the ingredients, the service, the ambience and the people. Definitely made an impression and looking forward to going back soon.

Decent place for pizza and craft beer

By Dave M |

This is located in a section of Burnet Road which has undergone some much-needed improvement over the past few years, but still retains that “old Austin” feel. A former garage has been converted into a place which specialized in beer and pizza. For a younger crowd which lives in the area, this is the place to be. A few dozen different craft beers are available here, including some which are brewed on site. If you’re having difficulty choosing which one, the handy listing on the wall will give you a little bit of information about the selections. And if you’re wishing to take some home, you can always get a growler. Excepting for some salad and appetizer items, the food menu is exclusively pizza. Each pie is available in different sizes, depending on the your hunger-level or size of your party. Each pizza is made to order. I got the Margherita, a classic mix of mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. The crust is a little thinner than what I prefer, but it was still chewy and tasty. The interior is clean and spacious. The seating area consist of rows of picnic tables, which works for couples or small groups. There’s no wait staff, so food and beverage need to be ordered independently at their specific counter. A buzzer will let you know when your food is ready, so you can pick it up from the counter. Overall, it is a nice place for a small group for go for an afternoon of hanging out. Recommend to carpool, as the parking in the area is extremely limited. It’s worth going over to check it out.

BEST PIZZA EVER

By Brianna J |

Im not a pizza person at all, but man do I love Pinthouse Pizza. Their pizza is incredible and so tasty but my favorite thing on the menu is the Pinthouse salad! Its so simple yet one of the best salads Ive ever had! This is must go to place to try! I recently went completely gluten free about 3 months ago and I love their gluten free or cauliflower crust! They both make it taste like your eating an amazing pizza! Their pizza and beer sections are incredible and you wont be disappointed!

Good pizza and great beer

By Sharon I |

I love the pizza here. Not too much cheese, fresh wonderful ingredients. I haven't had a pizza here I haven't liked. They have their own beers and lots of other beers on tap, a huge selection. The only drawback with Pinthouse is that it is ALWAYS crowded, even on a Monday for goodness sake. I guess you can't give them bad marks for their popularity.

Good quality food, poorly presented

By RowingOne |

Went to Pinthouse Pizza on South Lamar for the first time last night -- there were 8 of us. We didn't know what the drill was upon arriving -- the place was packed. It turned out that you have to keep milling around, squeezing through the crowds of other people waiting for tables and when you happen to be near a space opening up, you pounce! It's chaotic, and the place is really noisy on top of that. We finally found a place for all of us to sit and ordered our beers, which are excellent! (Their wine offerings are limited -- they didn't have any Chardonnay ...??) They make excellent pizza crust, too -- they just need to take it to the edges with decent topping coverage. My husband and I ordered a medium pizza to share, with mushroom and sausage and goat cheese. The crust was about 16 inches in diameter, and the very sparse toppings were about 10 inches in diameter! (There was no tomato sauce -- isn't that the base for most pizzas??) Couldn't even see the sausage or mozzarella, and the mushrooms were microscopic -- just teeny bits and pieces, so the pizza was almost all just bread! VERY disappointing. Having said that, everyone else in our group had "normal" pizzas, with toppings out to the edge and plenty of them, and they looked delicious, so I don't know what happened with ours... Note to Pinthouse -- please don't stint on your toppings, and please figure out a better way to seat people -- a designated waiting area would be nice...

Absolutely delicious!

By John H |

Parking: Note, you should park directly in front of or behind the establishment out of respect to the other businesses. Service: Fast and excellent! Our pizza was ready before I knew it! Cost: My wife and I split a small pizza with a salad and it was perfect. It was about $10 for both of us! Food: It was delicious. They brew their own beer and have a bunch on tap, but regrettably I did not get to try it. Next time I am down you better believe I will. Green Initiative: They practice green habits from recyclable trash bins to the bus staff pouring the water into the plants. I actually saw them do this and it is awesome!

Nice fun place

By sd_amowat |

Cool spot, busy, with good beer and good pizza Big open area for seating, a decent amount of bar seats that look into the brewing area Lots of employees with beards (guys) to give it brewery authenticity Good for groups, families, kids, might be too loud for business groups and the tables are picnic style Private lot for parking Cool T-Shirts (if you can get one in your size)

best pizza I've ever had (outside of Itay) :)

By smichy4 |

such a unique place to eat, ambience is wonderful togetherness the pizza was off the chart, they know what they are doing and the beer is pretty flipping good too!

Good food

Great Pizza, nice setting. Would definitely come back. Totally worth the money. Service was pretty quick.

Fun pizza and beer dining

By ButBeuatiful |

What we love about this place is the great beer brewed here. But, the surprise is that the pizzas and salads are really delicious, so good beer and good food makes this one of our favorite go-to places when I don't feel like cooking. I love how it has something for everyone, including all the children.

Gluten Free

By Adam P |

Had a gluten free pizza. They have lunch specials which can be fairly priced. Otherwise is quite pricy. But the taste is quite good. The gluten free dough is very good, and with the toppings that I had was tasty without feeling uncomfortably stuffed.

Forget Sunday Brunch - $3 Craft Beers during NFL Games

By Henry C |

We were looking for a place to catch lunch before heading back to Houston when we fount Pinthouse Pizza. I simply loved it. The restaurant is like a big warehouse with lines of picnic benches running pretty much wall to wall. There are two lines, one to order pizza and another to get some beer. They have both their own lines of craft brews and an number of other guest craft beers on tap. A pint is only $3 during NFL games. The pizzas are also great and made to order. They also offered some good looking salads but I have no idea why anybody would order one. If I have to say something negative, I would complain about the televisions surrounding two outer walls of the restaurant. Since the picnic benches are parallel to the televisions you have to sit sideways to watch the half a dozen or so games on at once. If you can overcome this hardship and find a place to park, you will like this place.

Best local beer selection

By BScoggins |

The pizza is average and the seating is hard but the beer is outstanding! They probably had the best local selection of beer out of anywhere I tried while in town. Save yourself the trouble though and do not try to eat in here. Just have a seat at the bar and enjoy. Also, avoid Tuesday evening unless you like a lot of loud trivia. Sometimes I do and sometimes I do not. The trivia here was loud but also the guy never stopped talking long enough for anyone to think. I'll go back for the beer but not so much for the trivia.

Awesome

By Bizarre22 |

Excelente beers, plenty of variety. Pizza looked great and smelled lovely. Just had beer though. Ambiance is awesome and so is the service.

Good beer..food....parking is a challenge.

By MICHAEL D |

Great choice of craft beers. About 6 craft beers are owned by Pinthouse..the other 35+ are guest beers. If a Guinness beer fan the Stout from Pinthouse is a dead ringer along with cream top and same type of pour. Pizza rocks. On the down side the place is large but very limited on parking..also note you will be towed if you park in places close by, so ask for directions for parking from the Pinthouse staff. Really was a great visit...great atmosphere.

Pizza and Beer- The Classic Combo

By Great_Beer_Now |

When you’re a beer lover and beer writer like me, brewpubs make a great choice when traveling with the family. The reason is obvious: Dad gets his beer and the kiddos are treated to what is usually above average food. A recent visit to Austin had us searching for a place for dinner and a quick check of online reviews and close proximities to where we were at the time led us to Pinthouse Pizza. This establishment brews its own beer and has the look of a cafeteria style beer hall. Seating isn’t the most comfortable, since it consists of picnic table- style benches with no cushioning. There is a beer bar on one side and the order counter on an adjacent wall. You order by walking up to the bar or counter- there is no table ordering. You then take your beer back to your table and you are given a number to place on your table if you order food. Once the food is ready, they will bring it to you. With the beer, Pinthouse brews several of its own and I liked what I tried. There were several standouts in the bunch and I was particularly drawn to the seasonal and collaboration beers. If you want something else, don’t worry- Pinthouse Pizza sells competitors beers, too, and there are a large number of beers from other Austin breweries and some national breweries as well. For food, we ordered a pretzel, chicken nachos, and pizza. I must say that the food was not only great tasting, it was a natural accompaniment to the beer. The pizza features thin crust so it’s less filling than others. The meat, cheese, and sauce make for a well- rounded and delicious pizza pie and now that I have sampled a build your own pizza- it’s what my kids wanted- I would love to come back and try one of the specialty pizza options. They clearly have high demands on quality at Pinthouse Pizza and it shows. Oh, and the food is served quickly! We were pleasantly surprised at how fast the food was prepped and delivered to our table. Parking is somewhat of an issue here. There is a parking lot behind the building, but it does take effort to get in and out because parts of it are not circular. That means that, when it comes time to leave, you may find yourself having to back out of your space and continue to keep backing up until you find an open spot where you can turn around. The parking lot is packed during peak hours and because of the crowds and limited space, it can get quite loud inside. If you’re looking for a quiet place for an evening meal, you don’t want to visit here during dinner hours on the weekend because the noise level is high. However, in spite of these small issues, the family and I liked Pinthouse Pizza very much and recommend it for your next Austin, Texas visit. This establishment has won multiple awards over the years and judging by my families reaction, they certainly have something going for them. It’s a great, family- friendly place in Austin for pizza and fine brew and worthy of your attention.

Ditto - Great Pizza; Great Beer!

By ciscokid23 |

Highly recommended brewpub/pizza joint; Lively, crowded, with a fast-moving but, at times, long ordering line; Remarkably affordable prices; Great for an informal get together.

If you are looking for great pizza and some great beer this is the place. With over 25 beers on tap from hoppy ale's too Irish dark barley. Wish we had had more time. Don't forget to get the jalapeño ranch dip for your pizza!

The perfect match. Great food, great beer and amazing decor.

By Brandy House |

We came with several adults and small children around 5 o’clock, I’m glad we got there early because the crowd started rolling in around six on a Sunday. Amazing atmosphere and excellent beer selection. The pizza was delicious and perfectly hot. The Caesar salad was very good as well. We are originally from California and absolutely loved the costal vibe inside. You don’t see a lot of that in the south and Midwest. We just loved everything up about this place. It was perfect for families with kids with the long sprawling tables. Next time we’re in around Rock, Texas we will be back !

Popular for good reason!

By spencerfam |

My husband discovered this place and now it has become our favorite place for pizza. We usually get the meat and/or the margherita pizza. Both are so delicious! We've also ordered their freshly made pretzels and a salad to eat while we wait for our pizza. So good! Always delicious! You will love it! However, prepare yourself for a possible wait to order and to find a table. There is a reason it is so popular!

On of my top favorite list

By Martin Almayahi |

Honestly.. this place is a gem.. if you want to have a good time with a great beer and pizza just go there.. I love it and it’s in the top of my favorite list

Good pizza, easy online order & curbside pickup

By wvlivingston |

Ordering online is very easy. The curbside is totally contactless -- placing in through the window of an empty passenger seat or in the trunk. Pizza is good with very good crust. Different and good specialty pizzas and toppings.

Good place to visit with friends

By SeekerOfGoodValue |

Wide choice of excellent beers. Good choice of better than average pizza. Limited outdoor seating. Ample indoor. Easy, Austin, laid-back ambience. Reasonable prices.

Yes. Maybe share?

By lrchisholm |

Visited on a Monday for pizza and some brews. I definitely recommend!! They say this place gets super busy during dinner time so I'm thankful I missed that hustle bustle. I ordered the Armadillo pizza because, well, it has poblano peppers...and I'm a sucker...and ricotta...the crust was unique and didn't get soggy in the least so that was extremely impressive! I had two beers...the house porter and pale ale. Both were good...the dry Irish porter was my fave though. The staff were nice, didn't really banter with the patrons but still nice enough. It was clean and efficient and I would come again if given the chance. Cheers!

Its a Pizzeria its a Pub its a microbrewery

By WWC |

Hidden up around Round Rock, Texas by hotel row (Springhouse Suites and Tru) is a building that makes beer. A little off putting when you go the first time but be assured it's family friendly but I don't think the kids in the carriages were drinking beer. Walk in and turn left to orderer go straight to the bar to see the choices on a blackboard like area and there are a bunch of non-descript offerings. Electric Jellyfish was a what is that. I ordered food at the bar and was pleased with the pizza roll. Then I wen for a Cannonball 9 inch pizza (think meatlovers). They forgot the marinara sauce but we kept eating. The seating otherwise is wooden picnic tables. The soda taps I saw were non-branded selections so no Coke Pepsi or Dr Pepper per se but Cola generic names.

Fun atmosphere, great beer selection, good pizza, nice crowd

By Anonymous N |

Our recent trip to Pinthouse Pizza on Burnet was a big thumbs up. While pizza does not top the list of my reasons to go to this newish spot in north central Austin, it's at least above average for the area. The crust is good (a New York-style) though not as good as some others around, such as The Little Deli on Woodrow. The toppings are high quality. The choice we made on this visit was fine though I probably would not order it again. It was the Hill Country, which came with bacon, spinach, ricotta and mushrooms on top. The sauce was a little sweet for my taste and the other ingredients did not add up to the flavor punch I was looking for, but it was a pleasant and satisfying meal without being overly salty or greasy, and it was reasonably priced. They have a wide selection of beers. I got an amber which was perfectly fine, and also very affordable. Probably the thing I like best about Pinthouse Pizza is the noisy, happy atmosphere. There are long wooden tables with benches where diners and drinkers sit and mix a little. We almost always chat with others while looking for a table or while sitting at one - making it feel like a real communal experience. Yet it's loud enough that you feel you can have your own conversation without necessarily being overheard. In fact, you probably need to make eye contact to talk to your neighbors over the friendly clamor, so it encourages smiles and nods rather than major intrusiveness. The service is also happy, friendly and efficient. Our son loves to play the old-fashioned video games - like Frogger, Donkey Kong, etc. There are a few nice outdoor tables too, though we have never managed to snag one. In general, good beer and pizza, nice, causal ambiance and a really fun and mixed crowd (families, groups of singles, folks out on a date) make this place a pleasure to patronize.

Good pizza

By Sammy M |

This place is really good. Food came out quickly, and everything is made from scratch. I was impressed by the cost too. Very affordable. This place is popular and seemed supper busy, but overall a great find!

Worth the trip!!

Craft beer, lots of pizza choices, fun atmosphere. Had a stressful day but by the time we left we were back to an enjoyable evening

Pizza and Beer Outstanding... what else could you want?

By Rob and Claire R |

We were in town visiting our daughter and were lucky to choose this spot for a casual dinner. A fantastic selection of craft beers, including their own. The pizza was also very good... and I'm a pizza snob from NY. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Best Pizza in Town!

By LV4NMLS |

I've lived here 9 years and this is my first time to Pinthouse Pizza. Yum! Yum! Lunch time is the best time to go for the price you pay! It's only $9.50 for a 10 inch pizza of your choice plus a side salad (which is larger than a normal side salad) of your choice! I had The Pinthouse Salad, which was loaded with baby spinach, candied pecans, dried cranberries and the best poppy seed dressing I have ever tasted. The Armadillo pizza is made with olive oil instead of a red sauce; the cheeses weren't overpowering, and the local artisan sausage was the perfect protein for this pizza. My favorite part is the crust. It wasn't too dense or too thin, with just the right amount of crispiness in each bite. I especially love establishments that are dog-friendly, and Pinthouse Pizza most definitely is, with water bowls at each table outside if your pooch gets thirsty. If you haven't stopped by, you are missing out!

Another fun restaurant

By Keke5 |

Busy and fun place to go, very good pizza and very extensive list of beer. Sizes are good for single and group. Family seating, good service.

Great Friday night spot.

By K H |

Great pizza and beer selection. Neat atmosphere. Fun place to eat and hang out. Parking can be a bit of a problem at peak times.

Can't Beat It!

By gcches9 |

I recommend Pinthouse Pizza to everyone I meet. It simply can't be beat in terms of: (1) Price [mediocre establishments charge as much and sometimes even more than PHP], (2) Quality [pizza has crushed tomatoes for base [not some salty, bitter tasting "sauce" out of a can], peppadew peppers, arugula, goat cheese, dough etc all taste fresh, (3) Service & Speed of Service - you literally receive the salads and pizza before you can blink, (4) Beer - the Electric Jellyfish is a true west coast IPA - better than any I have had east of the Rockies; (5) Ambiance - nice wooden tables, well illuminated, social atmosphere - kids and dogs are welcome - reminds me of the long wooden tables of a beer hall in Germany. Nice tvs for watching sports. Only improvement would be a beer garden with chestnut trees in the shade!

Very good pizza/salad

By Global_Grub |

They offer a very good lunch special that takes place from 11am to 3pm every day. This special includes your choice of pizza (which includes the specialty pizzas), choice of salad, and a drink. You can upgrade your special for a pint house beer for an extra fee. Pizzas were ready very quickly. The banh mi and cannonball were both very good in their own right.

Very good pizza - Awesome Beer

By sharrongeg |

Met some local friends here for dinner on a Thursday evening and the place was jumping! Pizza...half Bah mi and half cauliflower was absolutely delicious. Yes, I was hesitant, but loved it! Wonderful craft beer selection on tap. Only a few wines available, and they are served in mini bottles. The rose’ was pretty good. If we were locals, we would be regulars!

Great pizza and great beer!

We had a date night and decided to check out the new release double dry hopped Electric jellyfish. I prefer their regular Electric Jellyfish. We got their during happy hour so bonus!

A lot of pizza and beer!

Family style pizza place and many types of beers. Pizzas are very good. Place is larder but not too loud. Some beers are in the expensive side.

Excellent place!

By Kelly C. |

What a great spot! Everything from the service, to the beer, to the food was absolutely excellent. They run a lunchtime special with salad + pizza + drinks that was a great deal. They even had some nice wine for the non-beer drinkers in the group! I would absolutely go out of my way to come back here.

Great Pie!

Great pizza, decent wine selection, good beers and an added bonus of beer favorites so you aren't handcuffed to a microbrew that you don't like. Will come again.

GF crust & cider

Great pizza and beer and salads. Glad gluten-free Smart Flour crust is available. Delicious craft beer selection, and three gluten-free hard ciders. Classic arcade games, too. Only picnic-table seating. Friendly counter service.

Great Food, Camaraderie & Neighborhood Community

By MDMensch |

Enjoyed a late-night dinner at PHP when visiting friends in Austin .. this is one of their local haunts. This place "hits" on so many notes, it made me question why it's so difficult to get a great pizza+brewery in my hometown. Pizzas and salads are ginormous and there's a large selection of beers to keep you on rotation for at least a month .. I'm jealous I'm not going to join you for this adventure. Hook'em

This place is great

By clayton t |

I went in expecting an average pizza and beer (like their sign said) by got so much more. Great hand made pizza and an attached micro brewery.... You are my new favorite!!!

This is THE perfect neighborhood hangout

By ctrl_mike |

PHP seems to be a neighborhood favorite and has a consistently good crowd. Friendly service, the house brews are all excellent (and they change all the time). Great thin crust pizza, there are other food offerings that I haven't tried - why would I? Highly recommended; try to find a place to sit outside if it's not too hot.

Best pizza I've ever tried

I have a local spot in Miami that I love but this place was great. Savory and light. Beers are good. We ordered The works and The Green Belt. Love the concept! I'll miss Austin for sure!

Excellent Pizza!

By Val96712 |

Everything about this place was great. It had unique pizza, their own brewery and a great atmosphere. We found it on accident and glad we did!

Great beer and pizza selection

By croth14 |

Pro tip - skip the food line and go straight to the beer line. It's usually shorter. You can order food from the beer line too. I thought our pizza was ok but the pizza rolls are quite awesome. I may just skip the pizza next time and go with a few of those.

OK Pizza, Good Beer

By SWaN1111 |

Many times, it's just one thing that makes or breaks a pizza. In the case of Pinthouse Pizza, it's two. First, there's no thin or thick crust option - you get what they give you. Next, the sauce had a peculiar taste to it that left an aftertaste. It wasn't that it was terrible, but that it was unexpected - and not in a great way. Nice location, great beer, reasonable prices and friendly staff brought up the rating.

Excellent Pizza for Take-out

By weyl-59 |

The pizza is first-rate -- I really liked the pepperoni (totally covered with thin rounds of meat plus spicy sauce), and the prosciutto and pear was quite good. Definitely recommend!

Great pizza, good selection of beer, but a little too small for the crowd they attract

By Laura M |

Went her for the first time with the family (9 & 13-year-olds + 2 adults). It was JAM-packed. Yes, it was a Saturday evening, so somewhat expected, but I didn't really enjoy having to scour the restaurant for a seat while I stood there with my drink. People were pouncing on anyone even remotely looking like they were done. We loved the pizza. One of the best we've had in a while. Old school arcade games for $.25 kept the kids busy while we waited - we were told 30 minutes, it was 45 and my husband's pizza took an extra 10 past that. They did comp us a free pizza given the wait. Parking is tight, especially at peak times, but there is a lot in the back. Staff was friendly and they clear away items quickly, but if you aren't ok with the potential wait and scavenging for a table, maybe go on the early side.

Delicious & a laidback, fun atmosphere

By kdhenshaw7696 |

Great pizza with lots of different options. The restaurant is causal and was a great place to watch the Super Bowl.

Whoa! Seriously delicious pizza & amazing beer selection!

By Kim L |

Obviously, you go to Pinthouse for theoir beer & pizza, but there's a reason! The pizza was soooo good! The sauce was really flavorful and ever-so-slightly spicy in the way that garlic makes everything better. The crust was crispy and chewy all at the same time! The cheese was chewy and gooey. I couldn't decide on a beer, so the bartender helped me decide with a few samples. Joe's Magic Pils was great! I like that they post the ABV, since I'm a lightweight and can't handle these 8.0%+ stouts and still drive home. Also, I appreciated the service! The waiter brought one of our pizzas and said that the kitchen messed up the order. Rather than make us wait on our pizza, he offered the "screw-up" (still delicious... toppings were on the wrong halves), comped it, and rushed the correct order. They were on top of bussing the tables and offering a pizza box for our leftover pizza. I was there for a meeting, but would go again with my family for sure! In fact, I got home and told my husband we HAVE to go soon! I will be back!

Casual, Comfortable Beerhall/Pizza Restaurant

By dkm57 |

Great choice of beers on tap. Sit at long beerhall-like tables. Loved the pizzas...we had two pizzas - one greenbelt and one meat. Both came up quick and were delicious. Loved the pinthouse salad served on a small cookie sheet.

Great food and beer!

By 10traveltwosome |

We visited on a warm Saturday at noon so it was quite busy. The food was great and the beer selection was wide and diverse. The lines can get very long for beer so plan for that. The parking was a bit of an issue as well. Service was good, the inside was very nice. We sat outside and really enjoyed the food and beer.

Great pizza and beers

By Ron S |

This is a wonderful place to get some first rate pizza and some darn good craft brews. The pizzas are innovative in their styles and delicious. The beer selection is top notch with a nice variety of house brewed, locals, and craft breweries. Family style seating for the most part, a few tables outside, which in two more months will be bearable, but not now. Totally family friendly as well. Give it a try.

Great Pizza

By Relax46318577182 |

We really like this place. The staff are always friendly. Pizza is great - we prefer the thin crust. It's a little on the expensive side but worth it.

Love this pizza!

By Myles H |

Me and my friend found this place on google maps when we was looking around. From there we made it our place to eat from pictures alone, and it was no disappointment! The pizza was freaking delicious! The beer selection was really good, too. This is a definite return for me whenever I go back to Austin. For my pizza I had a medium one with artisanal sausage, spinach, and mozzarella with jalapeño ranch. So freaking good. The sausage paired so well with the spinach and mozzarella.

Simply Great

By 5GMan |

This reminds me a lot of Pizza Port in Solana Beach, California. Perhaps the owner was inspired by them. Great pizza, beer, at good prices with great attention and service. Yes, it's a self-service place but the staff is fantastic. Worth a visit

Great neighborhood spot for pizza, beer + wine

By Donna S |

I always thought Pinthouse Pizza was a nice addition to the neighborhood, but after my last trip it's moved up into solid rotation for go-to dinner + drinks. Husband is crazy about their beer selection, I have wine choices, and they now have gluten-free pizza crusts and vegan cheese. Something for everybody! Also, it seemed like they had made some sound dampening improvements in the restaurant as I didn't feel the need to shout to be heard across the table. Service was super friendly and I appreciate that they repeat your food order back to you. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the community seating, but there are a few 4-seater tables around the edge of the dining room.

HUGE tap, heavy on IPAs, good pizza, great salads

By MaryDee1 |

First of all, this place knows beer. Tons of local and guest craft beers, many of which are IPAs. See photo below. Hubby got a personal pizza and totally enjoyed it. All the toppings were fresh and the crust and sauce were very good. Served piping hot too. I had the Pinthouse salad. I could have eaten a bucket of it! Fresh spinach, bleu cheese, fresh pecans, dried cranberries and it was all fabulous. I’ve had similar salads elsewhere but this one was top notch. Still craving another one! Best time to go is a weekday lunch because there is a drink, 10” pizza, and small salad special. The employees were super friendly and helpful, too!

Excellent Pizza

By lfr22 |

The pizza here is excellent. Brew selection is very good, Only negatives are that it can get very loud and sometimes parents don't control their kids well enough.

Fun, tasty and refreshing

By HyeThyme |

Pinthouse Pizza is one of those places you will want to visit each time you are in Austin. They release new brews each month in addition to their wide selection of brews in their portfolio. Their pizza and salads are excellent! They have a neighborhood atmosphere, and everyone is welcomed.

Fun Experience

By Ricki M |

This is a fun place to consume yummy pizza with the latest tap. We were there on the day they introduced a new IPA and this was a real treat for my IPA brewer husband. We went with friends and made new ones with the picnic table set up. The Greenbelt Pizza was awesome.

Oh My! Good Pizza, Great Salad!

By peastertexas |

Visited this establishment with my daughter and her fiancé and ate the pizza they ordered which was pepperoni and Italian sausage. It was good with what I would call a thinner crust. Everything was very fresh and tasty with an adequate amount of cheese. That's one of my pet peeves: being stingy with the cheese on a pizza😡. This is not the type of pizza I would have ordered for myself as I prefer vegetables on mine with the meats but seeing as how I was the guest, I just munched along with them and enjoyed it greatly. The star of my meal was the salad! I wish I had ordered the larger version because it was sooooo good! I don't remember the name of it but it had candied pecans and a pink peppercorn vinaigrette on it. Awesomeness. My only complaint would be the parking. It can be crowded and be sure and DO NOT park in the parking for the BBQ joint next door!!! They will boot your vehicle in about 3 minutes. No kidding. This is serious. Saw it happen. I would definitely go back here but perhaps at a NOT prime dining time. It gets loud and crowded but it does have some outdoor seating that is fun when weather allows. I will return.

Great for Friends and Family!

By BKinTexas |

It's all about the beer and the atmosphere. I think one of my favorite things about this place is watching the children that come with their families. Mine are 17 and 23, so seeing infants, toddlers, and youngsters enjoying pizza while mom and dad enjoy a craft brew is pretty sweet. I love beer and sampling new brews. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. What more could you ask? I've been here with my partner and with my 17 year old daughter. The pizza dough could be crisper - I like that sort of crisp, brick-oven type crust - but it is good and the toppings are very good. It would be a great place to meet friends. I have friends with youngsters and I can see us (finally) getting together in a place that meets my needs and theirs. Bravo!

Yummy

By Wendy W |

We visited Austin again and could not wait to go to Pinthouse. Best pizza ever!! The pepperoni basil is the best. The selection of beers is so vast. We love the flights. Can’t wait to return.

Good Pizza

By lil1dlt |

Great pizza, great beer and great salads. A true local kid friendly pizza place that is fun and has good food.

Yum! Great beer and pizza!

By Emily B |

Pizza and salad were both delicious. Friendly service and wide selection of delicious beers!! This place is worth a visit!!

Fantastic Pizza and Beer Parlor

By Rockdoc7 |

Had my family there one night and we had a blast. great tasting pizza and tremendous varirty of beers. Very entertaining place with alot of atmosphere We had the Margarita pizza which was excellent . They also have some excellent dark brew which we loved. The service was great. Definitely coming back. A FUN PLACE to hang out

Absolutely love this place!!!

By Five_Aces_Tx |

Pinthouse Pizza is a must stop every time we are in Austin. The Cannnonball pizza (all meat) is excellent and the beer is too. Parking is tough at this location though. Still, worth it!

Fun, large families accommodated

By Vateresa16 |

We are a large family and when we get together, there are 15-20 people to accommodate--here it's easy. There's large table, open seating, and casual atmosphere with lots of tvs up high, so they aren't intrusive if you don't want to catch a game. The pepperoni and veggie with goat cheese pizzas were delicious. Large selection of beer and our choices were unique and good. I look forward to other visits here when in town.

Pizza paradise

By Ink Drinker |

We went after a night out and polished off an entire pizza between the two of us! It was a greedy feeling that Honey bear pizza created...good beer selection too. Seems busy and good service.

Great place!

By Turtle3469 |

They have a ton of beers to choose from. The also Brew their own beers and there was on Agua Loko that had watermelon cucumber and it was amazing. Very refreshing. Thier margarita pizza was also very good. They had poblano peppers as a topping choice which I really want to go back and try one with them. Nice atmosphere and friendly knowledgable staff

OK Pizza, Good Beer Selection, Fun Atmosphere

By Mustread1 |

Servers all very nice - good service. Big open restaurant/bar with family style picnic bench seating. Ordered their "works" pizza; fair, wouldn't get again - uncooked vegetables, couldn't detect any sauce flavor, overall... blah. Best part was beer selection, happy hour and atmosphere.

Friendly service, yummy pizza and salad

By Jagflicka |

We ate here as our first introduction to Austin. What a great place to start! Texas friendly, and had good specials for lunch. I got the cranberry walnut salad and the pizza roll, which were filling and tasty. BF had one of their special beers--we were happy we stopped here!

Awesome Pizza!

By hirag61 |

The pizza was amazing! The crust was chewy and the cheese is very fresh. It is one of my favorite restaurants of all time!

Pizza and beer

By Lisa W |

We had the pepperoni and basil pizza and beer mates (basically bread sticks), and they were awesome. Their beer was also good, and they also had wine available. Service was friendly but a little slow. However, I will cut them some slack considering how busy it was. We were there during lunch on a Saturday.

Just tried the pizza not the beer

By C K |

Pizza was good but nothing amazing. Great price point but too much cheese on our margarita and not fresh mozzarella. Some folks talked up the pizza on the other reviews. I prefer home slice if pizza is all you want. The folks here are nice at least the individual who I interacted with on the phone and at the counter when picking up the pizza.

True Gem

By Sofia U |

This place was a gem. The area was ok. The pizza was incredible. The classic cheese was a big hit. It was kid friendly and clean.

Good place for informal meetings

By Serge P |

My colleagues and I went here two times during the same week when we were on a business trip in Austin. Good pizza, salads and snacks, an abundant choice of beers, a couple dozen (I'm not a beer person, though, so for someone it may look not that rich :-)). Even some wine is available, but it's not good. Places outside are good for informal talks.

Electric Jellyfish and any pizza is the right choice

By Matta15 |

The Electric Jellyfish is a must. One of the best IPAs brewed in all of Texas. Pizza selection offers creative and classic choices. All and all, a cool Austin pizzas bar.

Great pies

By Delfi002 |

The choices were unique and very tasteful. They also had a good selection of draft. I loved the honey pear with prosciutto

Best Pizza I've had in Ages

By P5_Crazy_Train |

The pizza here was truly amazing. The crust was fantastic— no pizza bones left behind by the kids! The dough was so good! We had 3 different pizzas, and all were really good. The local sodas three the kids for a sec, but they ended up loving it, the pink-drink prickly-pear lemonade was the winner though. Phenomenal craft beers and ciders on tap. Pineapple cider was both unique and tasty! The staff was very friendly and conversational, a refreshing change from the usual hipster "I'm too cool to be nice to customers" vibe that Austin is so famous for. The only problem with the place was the funk-nasty stench coming from the restrooms. Not an appetizing scent to have on the brain while ordering food and filling up drinks. We were here on a Sunday afternoon, so it might have been a recent occurrence, but it smelled otherwise. Get those potties smelling fresh and the place will be perfection!

Good pizza and good but AC is lacking

By karouselkid |

We’ve eaten at this location twice in June. The atmosphere, food and drinks are all very good but darn it can be hot inside!! Parking is also a challenge. Obviously a hip and happening place.

Our big group enjoyed Pinthouse

By Laura W |

Christmas is around the corner and our out of town guests arrived just in time to help us celebrate. Our movie ended on the 23rd around four p.m., and we headed to the Burnet location of Pinthouse Pizza. We had no trouble finding two picnic tables side by side that accommodated our 17 people (some were kids) and we ordered: pepperoni & basil, margherita, the work, the green belt, the shroomin' goat and built our own (something with pineapple that the kids wolfed down before I could get to it.) We also shared full size caesar, pinthouse, and mixed greens salads. I'd go back today, so I can to try the sundance salad. They had the food to our table in minutes and everything was perfectly prepared, fresh and delicious. We all had a good time and will go back soon--we need to try a few more things on the menu :)

Fantastic pizza and beer

By Asilb66 |

We had lunch here Saturday afternoon. They was a fairly good crowd for a Saturday afternoon. The pizza is unique and fantastic. They have a great selection of beer too. The seating is family style mostly at long tables. It’s a really fun place.

Good pizza place, ok beer

By Nathan2403 |

Stopped by after a flight to Austin and have to say that it’s a happening place. A good crowd of people and some good pizza. The brownie is something you can’t miss! Had the Seal stout and nice but unmemorable. Would go to again, just be prepared to have others around you.

Decadent pizza

By RamblingRambler |

In keeping with a week in which my dietary choices have likely collectively reduced my lifespan by a decade, it's fitting that my last meal in Austin was here. While the name "Pinthouse" refers to the wide array of beers on offer, don't be fooled into thinking the pizzas here are pint-sized - they're actually pretty massive, so much so that I decided to go for a small (slightly intimidated by the fact that the medium size is fully double the price). I got the Cannonball, which features all kind of sausages and bacons and that kind of thing for maximum damage - it was very good, but actually some of the other pizzas I spied around the place looked even better.

Great Pizza, Friendly Atmosphere

By Rick B |

Ate an early dinner here with family while in town. The service was friendly and quick. The pizza was fantastic, we went simple with pepperoni, bacon, and basil - it was a winner! The pizza had great flavor. I ordered a craft beer, a darker brew, the "La...something". It was advertised as having a complex flavor much like a stout, I was a little disappointed in it though. It wasn't as full as I had hoped. I wouldn't let that deter me from visiting again though. Go check it out!

Large selection of beer- Awesome pizza

By oreoman |

So many choices!! Beers and pizza!! Most beers brewed by them. Very tasty. Very imaginative. Loved the pizza selections. I had the one with pear, honey, prosciutto, and cheeses. Oh my- it was so tasty. Would definitely go back.

Pizza Picnic

By Jim T |

We paid a return visit here after not having been in a good while. I am from Wisconsin, and one of my main Austin food woes is lack of a good (to me) pizza. The pizza at Penthouse isn't the best I've ever had, but it is among the best in Austin. The salads are also good, as are their appetizers. There is a wide selection of beer. Free parking and picnic table style shared seating. Sports on TV. Family friendly.

Tasty IPA beers, good pizza and salad

By lovefoodinCM |

We like the casual atmosphere of this place. Families, friends seem to just get together here. People with very well-behaved children dine here. The beers here are stellar. We really like the Pinthouse Salad and we switch between the Works Pizza and the Shroomin Goat pizza. It is nice to find a comfortable place to hang out and have beer and some food. Most staff are pretty nice. Service=4, Food=4, Beer=5, Value=4

Awesome Brew and Pizza

By Running 34770 |

If I ever return to Austin, this is the place I would visit. Awesome craft brews and the gluten free pizza was delish....which is hard to get it right. So happy we made time to stop in before we left.

Great Pizza, Great Beer, What more could you ask for!

By robbiefitz |

I was looking forward to checking this place out after having some of their beers at GABF. We arrived and sat at the bar, the bartender was great, we ordered a flight and a pizza. The Oh La La had pepadews & honey on it and it was a great combination of flavor, and the crust was perfectly crispy. Definitely coming back next time we are in Austin.

Great pizza!

By vilvo |

Very nice place, really good food - we went to have pizzas as my son wished pizza for his birthday. For the occasion I wanted us to have great pizza instead of some pizza. Early Friday evening - pretty crowded but no reservation needed, make your order, pick it from the desk when it's ready and eat as you like in a free table - different people, students, families, friends, couples. We enjoyed the place and the food.

Loved it!!!

By Kieu-Mai V |

Somehow we managed to pick a night where they were having specials on their brew; it was a mad house. People were everywhere waiting for their food and a place to sit. We eventually found a place outside. Your food comes out pretty quick. And it was so worth all the chaos!!! My favorite is the margarita pizza with fresh oregano. They make everything homemade and it comes through in the quality of the food. I also got a pretzel with jalapeño ranch...Hot, fresh, amazingness! They have other options too for those who choose gluten free. My vegan friend loved their veggie pizza! And I have to admit I even liked it. I would definitely try coming when they're less busy...but even if it's super crowded their food is worth it! Also, the parking is a little wonky. There is a parking attendant but you may have to wait a bit for a spot.

good pizza/beer and very busy

By astrosfan08 |

the pizza is good and beer choice better. Had the margherita and veggie. Both were good. The seating here is all large tables with bench seating. There are also some bar level tables available to lean on. We arrived about 6pm on a Friday evening and the place was packed. you must grab an area at a table large enough for your group and be happy to share space. It is just a bit loud for easy conversation but still worth the visit

Great pizza, beer, atmospere

By tomweismantel |

I loved the pizza at Pinthouse because the sauce was rich and the crust was perfect. Also, there is a great selection of "guest" tap beers in addition to the solid selection of beers brewed in house. If you find the inside to be a bit too noisy, there is ample outdoor seating so you can enjoy that Austin sunshine.

Needed An Additional Stomach! Fabulous Food

By JDSoui |

The ambiance and staff were fabulous. The pizza was amazing, and the bread was light with the right texture. The pizza options were expansive and portion size was spot on. Amazing spot with a great vibe. A winner pizza destination!

Great Pizza wide variety of beers crafted in house

By Mariana G |

The place is nice and clean the pizzas are great and the wide variety of beers makes it hard to chose from but excellent flavour!

Pizza, Beer, and a little bit of Frogger.

By Grow1ngw1ngs |

So, at first we were a bit intimidated by how packed it was. We were lucky to get a parking space right up front after a bit of a search, but if we hadn't, we would have probably had some trouble with parking. Walked in to see rows of picnic style benches and not one table was free. We found a bar height table to stand around while my husband ordered pizza and got us some beers, and within 10 minutes we found an empty space. So, at first it seems like a lot of work...but it was well worth it. The place was pretty packed (Friday, around 8 ish), but it's a pretty chill place. Now the pizza..... The pizza WAS good. Cheesy, perfect crust, (New York Style). The beer is plentiful and interesting. I would definitely eat here again!

Busy place with great food and beer

By chrisdente |

In town for a conference and took a quick Uber ride up to this place after having one or two of there beers in the downtown tap houses. Place is packed but service is efficient. They have a great selection of beers and a nice menu. Seating is kind of a free for all with mostly long picnic type tables but it seems to work pretty well. Definitely worth a stop.

Inauguration Day lunch.

By jelottes |

Great lunch with brother and his wife. Batch 629 Zappy Squid IPA and batch 627 Black Eye PA. Good pizzas and great beer.

Dry and tasteless pizza.

By USValib |

We never had such a bad pizza that has no taste. Brownies that were over burnt sticking to the paper. Pros: Nothing to say. Cons: Dry pizza crest, Taste, half cut tomatoes as toppings, burnt brownies. Never recommend this place.

Yummy

By jeffysmom |

Great choices of pizzas. You can also create your own. Salad was good. Having gone at lunch, I wasn't able to partake in the beer, but they have a large selection. I'd definitely go back.

Neighborhood Pizza Joint

By Jamie A |

Excellent pizza every time....my whole family has had cravings for these dishes ever since we first ate there. Fresh, fluffy crust with just enough crunch to make it interesting. Always packed with flavors and the basil on the margarita is to kill for.

Ok for Lunch

By Michael B |

Tried the Blanc Ale, Hoppy Wheat, Old Beluga and a very sweet Texas Honey. Ordered House nachos that came on a tray with a paper bottom liner that made it interesting trying to remove the cheese covered nachos as they cooled down. Had a Wedge Salad that they very kindle cut up in to bit size pieces so it saved me the work! Tried three small pizzas as there were four of us, Calma Muerta, an Armadillo And Milano with added anchovies. The staff were helpful but did not really talk to patrons, somebody was constantly going around sweeping the floor or removing our glass as soon as it was empty, It was clean and will visit next time we are in Austin,

Great pizza!

By Michele R |

This brewery offers great pizza and a nice selection of beers. Its location is centrally located. Definitely worth a visit!

Great Pizza and Greater Beer!

By Sarah K |

This place is one of my favorite places to eat! I have never had a bad experience with the service and the food. My favorite item to eat is the armadillo pizza with a Caesar salad. The pretzel is also really great! You can't go wrong with any of the beer choices! Pick the type you like and enjoy!

Fun olace

By CleosKeeper |

They have great, inexpensive salads. I like the Cesar with chicken. Also, the pizzas are nice. We go there at lunch, so we don't order the beer although the selection of house brewed beers is huge.

Great lunch spot! Gluten free options.

By Ellie R |

1/2 salad 1/2 pizza was perfect! Also loved the cauliflower crust for a healthier option! Plus, a brewery with many options!

Great pizza and beer. Ordering is a pain.

By croth14 |

Been here twice now. Pizza is great. Beers are awesome and now they have crowlers. I wish they didn't make you order everything over the counter though. It can become a bit painful to order food and beer there.

Location is closed

By Mdegerman |

Stopped by for dinner while traveling only to find it closed for some undisclosed time. No mention of this in the social media or website. Have not a clue as to when the remodeling will be finished and when it will open again. Very disappointed to say the least. Private messaged with the restaurant and have not received a reply as to when it will be open again.

Wonderfully tasty pizza!

By Paradise316470 |

Really good pizza. Quite a variety. Picnic table/bench type seating. The place was packed. Good customer service. TV's from all views. Would recommend!

Good beer, pizza. Great place.

By ACfromATX |

I went there for a non-profit charity event where the business was donating a sizable percentage of their profits to the charity. So I mostly drank one of their brews (for which they donated 100% of profits). The beer was good, and the pizza, pretzels, and salads were excellent. The open plan and long tables make it a fun place for people to chat and interact and move around. The staff were friendly and polite and even when the lines were long they moved things along so the waits were short.

Excellent venue. To try

By danielaronza |

Among the best pizzas we tried in the USA. Well leavened with large bubbles, correct seasonings. In addition to fantastic beers and ciders of their own production, salads etc. Nice and clean environment. Friendly and nice staff.

Delicious pizza

By jgb07 |

The pizza menu was impressive. We tried two different ones and both were equally delicious. Lots of great beer/ipa/wine choices as well.

Pub with a nautical theme

By HanKelly |

Pretty packed house so the pizza takes awhile. Order at the counter and get a buzzer when it’s ready. We might have waited 45 min or so. Got a simple pepperoni and basil small pizza and some pizza rolls appetizer. I liked the pizza rolls better and the pizza was pretty good. Not spectacular, but good pizza. They had lots of beer choices with a separate walk up bar.

Load up on the deliciousness of carbs

By Matta15 |

Pizza and beer. Is this place heaven? Closest to it in Austin. Their pizzas are better than this northeastern was expecting. They bread is perfectly cooked for its own flavor as well as for its job to hold everything together. The creativeness of different toppings makes this place go above and beyond. And the Electric Jellyfish... best hazy IPA east of California.

Great atmosphere

By kyliefromtx |

My husband and I tried this for the first time. Great pizza -we aren’t drinkers but had a great time watching others try the different beers and a packed place the whole time we were there. Great pizza and atmosphere...and evidently great beer too-though we didn’t drink the beer!

Great for beer

By masaccio |

The beer selection here is crazy, crazy broad. Pity it’s in the middle of nowhere as I was driving and had to beg careful; most of the beers are strong. This pizza snob thought that the pizza was OK for US pizza: base was thick-ish, but no overpowering herb flavour that you often get. Better than chain pizza anyway and I did enjoy it, even if it wasn’t what I would call a classic th8n crust pizza.

Good pizza & beer

By Jerry L |

Casual indoor & outdoor seating. Was busy but managed to snag an outdoor table. Lots of beer choices. Friendly servers. Good beer and pizza.

Good bargain, family-friendly

By Travels-Lots3759 |

My husband is the beer fanatic and he was happy here with a generous flight of tastings. The pizzas are fairly priced so I was happy. For 3 of us we ordered two smalls and had slices left over. My friend had the Hawaiian and we ordered one with lots of veggies (forgot the name) -- hers looked more appealing (the wilting greens on ours didn't look so great), but both tasted fine. The crust is thin and crunchy -- overall just fine!

Awesome pub

By Gretchen G |

I love pint house pizza, they have great pizza and a huge on tap selection of beers. It also has a fun atmosphere with big picnic style tables and tvs.

Busy, but worth it

By Elizabeth A |

Full disclosure - I NEVER stand in lines for anything. I don't feel like any food or drink or item is worth it. I also don't like busy places. But, all that said, this place is busy, has a very short line (thanks to a few cashiers at a time working in lightening speed), and AMAZING pizza. Pizza is out-of-this-world, beer selection is vast and diverse, service is super quick and though loud, the experience is fun. It's exactly what you'd expect - big, long tables and TONS of people...but for good reason, and the crowds don't ruin the experience because the restaurant works hard to accommodate and deliver great, fast food. Thanks for getting it right Pinthouse...you nailed it!

Love the life in the place

By BobYourUncle |

The family feels I will enjoy the place because of the variety of beers. And my word, they have quite a few. It's most definitely the microbrewery with the widest variety that I have ever been to and probably will ever be to! I prefer the blondes - and I had a choice of at least a dozen. The pizzas were great too. Above the ambience and the life that the place exudes. Must go.

Really good pizza and a great time

By Charles M |

A friendly pizza bar atmosphere with lots of noise but a really tasty pizza and we will return. We look on going here as a special treat.

Yummy Good!

By Scottslady |

I love the pizza at Pinthouse. It is very good, but this last time I noticed that the ingredients were a little skimpy. It was still good, but could have been better! Service was great and the atmosphere is good too. I will be back.

Pizza and beer, go together in beer and pizza!

By DoctorDee69 |

I'd never been to a craft brewery/pizzeria before. But after eating and drinking at Pinthouse, I can't see why not. And indeed, since returning home to the UK, I've found a similar but not QUITE as good establishment in Leeds' Tapped. Beer and pizza make beautiful table-fellows. And Pinthouse makes excellent beer, and awesome pizza. The pizza menu is not super-extensive. But in its five classic and five speciality pies it has something for everyone. They come in three sizes, and the small is a hearty snack, and the medium a meal for a European. Of course, this is the good ole USofA, so they also serve a large sized pizza. But that's just for sharing, the obese, or Americans. If you are a fussy soul, unable to find something you like among the 10 prêt-a-manger pizzas, then you can build your own from a selection of fresh and tasty ingredients. All the pizzas come on a delicious medium base that is among the best i have tasted, and both mine were cooked to perfection. There is a small selection of desserts, basically ice-cream, ice-cream in soda (a float) or ice-cream in beer (a beer float). But what Penthouse may lack in the size of its find menu, it more than makes up for in its beer menu. A selection of brewed-on-site beers are joined by a host of guest beers, every one I tested was a good beer, though some of course were more suited to my tastes than others. Knowledgeable bar staff and an informative chalk-board menu will help you make an informed decision. If you want to try a selection, but haven't got the time or the budget for a session, then you can try a flight of beers. The only downside to Penthouse is its own success, the parking lot gets crowded, and it's semi shared with an adjacent property. It's easy to park in a wrong spot, and you can't clamped and fined for that. Better signage might help, but a larger parking lot would help a lot more. I was only in Austin for a few days, but Penthouse is so good, I couldn't resist going back. For simple, friendly, no-hassle food and drink, this place takes some beating.

Great Pizza, Great Beer

Family style tables make this place a friendly and welcoming environment. The pizza is also some of the best in the city and the beer is excellent - always a great selection.

Good laid back spot for good pizza and plenty of beer to pick from. The prices are reasonable and the beer selection they have is great as well. You can't go wrong with good pizza and beer. Parking is somewhat limited. The staff is very friendly as well. I also thought it was neat that they have a very old Donkey Kong arcade game.

Good pie Better Beer

On a Saturday is this place packed. We had a large party and it took a while to get seating for all of us. Took a while to out orders too, due to the crowd. The pizza was worth the wait. Hand tossed style of crust, fresh ingredients, and large choice of toppings. They have their own beer, plus craft beer from other brewers. Everyone enjoyed their choices of beer. Solid line up.

Beer (a lot of Beer) and Great Pizza

By Jason K |

50+ micro brews on tap from all over, Dark, Ambers, IPA, Stouts, it's a beer lover's dream but the pizza is the real reason to come. Cornmeal dusted crusts that are so tasty my mouth is watering thinking about them and the toppings are fresh and varied. (gluten free crust is available too). The sauce is deep and rich but not slathered on to thick. All things considered the crust, toppings and sauce are in perfect harmony. I would recommend not ordering more than 4 or 5 toppings as it will make the crust soggy. If you want a great pizza and a paired beer go here -seriously.

Good pizza, beer and atmosphere

We very much enjoyed our visit to pinthouse pizza. Pizza was very good and the atmosphere was very relaxed. The only complaint was that the pans were hot when carrying them to the table and they didn't have enough plates available. Pretzels were very good as well.

Good Beer, great pizza.

They had a wide assortment of beer, I tried samples of several, but ended up with a good IPA which I stuck with for the evening. My party had pizzas and some pizza rolls which were really tasty. We all left stuff and our DD's car smelled like beer for a couple of days :-)

Penthouse Pizza is a nice place to hang out and enjoy pizza and amazing craft beers. Try the Jelly Fish. The atmosphere here is fun and light. With family, friends, or on business, you will enjoy your time. The staff is great and they have great attitudes. A pleasurable experience no doubt.

Pizza Mood

Austin has a lot of great pizza places and this one is close to UT campus. It was jam packed with Saturday families at 4 pm but there was parking and 20 min wait for food and seating. Considering the situation, that was fast....And the awesome food and beer, it’s worth the wait! Enjoy!

Slice of PDX in AUS

Being from Portland, we have our share of brewpubs. Pinthouse compares favorably to pdx's best both in the beer and pizza domains. My Irish red reminded me of a McTarnahans, and the armadillo pizza was an intoxicating blend of olive oil, sausage, poblano, ricotta, cilantro, and mercifully no armadillo. This has been added to the standard rotation when visiting Austin. Cheers

The beer alone stands out!

In a city full of culinary delights, this place has a winning combination of atmosphere, great pizza and friendly locals. A major plus for my daughter is she can bring her dog ( on the patio).

YUM!

We were gazing at the menu where you order up front and some guy also eating there said, "First time?" He then explained how everything worked and recommended the nachos and said that really anything we ordered would be great. Aren't people in Austin nice? The nachos were outstanding! We all loved our pizzas. We also loved sitting at long tables and that we were able to order good beer.

Great Pizza

Very good pizza and brew. Visiting from out of town. We have nothing like this in Dallas so it was a nice change from your typical pizza kitchen.
