We were recommended this place by our apt owner and it didn't disappoint, although we were hoping for an omelette. But their great choice of acai bowls made up for it. They also don't do decaffeinated coffee which doesn't appear to be as common in the States in these independent places, which we would always choose over the big coffee chains. But their healthy menu items are great, they also have a good choice of smoothies and also some baked goods such as pain au chocolat. Service was also very good and the place has a really nice atmosphere. Perfect if you're in Bushwick on a local artwork tour as its not far from Troutman St which is where I found the most art.

Incredible yummy and healthy menu. Vegan and Gluten free heaven. Best Acia Bowl options I’ve seen. Skillet meals people rave about. Not much indoor sweating but outside curb options available

We stopped by here to cool ourselves on a hot afternoon. I had an Energy asai bowl. The base is frozen, so it is a great choice for summer meal. They have many choices, besides that fresh juices and smoothies menu look great.

Best ingredients you can get - the owner is dedicated to ecologically sound sourcing, is an anti gmo advocate, and strives to make everything organic. This is THE best juice bar in the 'hood. The menu is always changing, and always great. I love all their food and baked goods, and they even have a norwalk press! I really think this is one of the best gems in the neighborhood, and I hope it stays around for a while. If you go in when the owner is there, she will be happy to talk to you about her mission to keep the food sourced clean and healthy. Warning: the coffee is horrible. Its a joke amongst the locals, that everything here is so excellent but somehow its the worst coffee in all of brooklyn. Just dont get a coffee here - get everything else! Smoothies will give you more energy than coffee anyway! Its also decent to work over the wifi, but not the best atmosphere for that.

Great place to visit after admiring the Bushwich street art. Love the communal seating, and their menu. The eggs on avocado toast were perfect, as was the acai bowl.

I had one of the best acaibowls there, together with a really good coffee! The staff is very sweet & friendly :-) Definitively worth a visit!

Nice Place, feels like Home: a big communitiy Table, wonderful Bar and the Food (Pitanga Granola, Cappucchino, Pineapple Picabte Juice) was perfect!

Not just a coffee joint, Pitanga is a gluten free and health-conscious person’s dream. With organic, non-GMO and locally sourced ingredients, the food and drinks are are fantastic. The smoothies, juices and gluten free pastries are divine and the meals are similarly spectacular. The acai bowls are delicious and full of good things. Aside from the pastries (fresh every day) all dishes and drinks are made to order, and while it might take a litte longer, it’s always worth the wait.

A very nice place to brunch or just have a drink, very nice terrace and very nice staff!

Cool atmosphere, very welcoming service, perfect for coffee, dinner or a quiet breakfast, ☺️ I highly recommend this brand

Great place, we had an appointment there for a guided tour, we arrived early to have breakfast… It was delicious, fresh and not too expensive… The staff was super friendly… thanks again

Ordered Acai bowl, oatmeal bowl, avocado on toast, burrito wrap, almond latte and side greens. We came here and found this place randomly. We have gone there multiple times even though its outside of our neighborhood. WILL TRAVEL FOR FOOD :) the portions are good. Acai bowl as filling and everything is fresh. They also use Alkaline water to make thier coffee. Owner is lovely chatted with her during our visit. This place is a gem. Its also a good place to go work. Has a few private tables and there is one big communal table in the middle. They also have a great range of green juices.

Very nice location. Friendly service and cool guests...the dishes are imaginative and delicious. You weren't pushed out immediately after you had finished eating, as is the case in America.

It was really nice to get to know this restaurant tonight, there were tasty and healthy things we tried, acai bowl was awesome, thank you Pitanga for been careful with our meal...Pitanga's staff * * * * *
Limited Menu, horrible staff
Dont get me wrong this is a cute looking spot from the outside in, but the menu is extremely limited, the food is overpriced and the staff do not bother with customers at all. The two women working behind the till couldnt crack even so much as a smile when greeting us never mind saying hello or thank you. Not one ounce of customer service skills between them. Menu is also very misleading and very expensive for the small, mediocre meal you actually receive. Avoid at all costs. Not worth the bother.
