The ice tea is good!

By Alan S |

I have been to this restaurant many times, only because it is across the street from the hotel I stay at. The service has always been good. The food is okay, nothing spectacular.

Incredibly friendly

By Sally W |

A varied menu with good choices for veggies. The outside seating is under cover but open t the breeze. Staff are great and cannot do enough for you

Good pizza for the West Coast

By Lekw |

We were told our wait would be 30 minutes but were called earlier. We had a nice table by the window...the garlic bread they bring to the table was so good, kids loved their pizza.

Pepperoni White & Garlic Cheesy Bread

By Coley517 |

Stopped by for dinner on our way to a sunset sailing cruise off Harbor Island. Ordered the pepperoni white pizza and garlic cheesy bread. Beer and wine selection was great, and the food was spectacular. Would gladly go back.

Quiet restaurant along the yacht harbor

By westernboots |

The six of us went out in May 2025. I didn't have a reservation, but I got one right away. The restaurant was large and the staff were kind. The menu was wide and all of them were delicious. It's an American size, so it's good to go with a lot of friends and share.

Dang Good Thin Crust Pizza But At A Price

By yrlesru |

Yes, the pizza here is good. Three generations of family will testify to that. Even at the $$$ price level, the pizza quality and creative toppings are a treat. The wine list is small but acceptable. Hey, it is American Italian menu and only needs a tasty but quaffable "vino". The menu includes a few choices but adequate salads including their rendition of the local caesar salad and also house original salads. Our party also enjoyed the list of pasta dishes on the menu. The child will like the kids menu including child size pizza and lemonade. Wednesday is 1/2 price bottles of wine, which put the bottle price into a reasonable price range. Lunch adult specials include salad and pizza. We ate here for both lunch and dinner. The place is very family friendly. The outdoors dining is possible in cool weather with the overhead and standup heaters. Give it a try at lunch, at least. You will find yourself wanting to go back, even though it will dent your wallet.

Loved their food

By Cathy H |

There used to be a Pizza Nova where we lived but it closed down many years ago and I missed it. Found this little gem while staying nearby...can’t say enough go about the quality of the food...it is delicious. The pizzas a fresh, the pastas and salads excellent and th drinks were very refreshing. Worth th drive to get to.

Great Pizza, Sanwiches & Pasta

By Amy B |

I love Pizza Nova's woodfired pizzas. One of my favorite things on the menu is their vegetarian sandwich as well and my kids love the pastas. I also really enjoy their location right on the harbor. For casual, family friendly dining, it's a sure bet. They also have an outdoor patio.

Good pizza!

By Royce_3 |

Really enjoyed this place. Pizza was good and the garlic bread balls that come out before are amazing! Service was good and parking was plentiful. If you are looking for good pizza, you have found it.

Good Happy Hour

By KayteeHC |

Happy Hour menu offered some pizzas at $8 (small size). Shared one and shared a chopped salad. Chopped salad was fantastic. I have driven by here during numerouous visits to SanDiego and never stopped in. This is now on my list of places to go.

It has Pizza and stuff

By Dennis M |

This is a nice place with some decent pizza with creative toppings and good flavor. Had some good craft beers on tap and it sits on the marina. Can't go wrong with this place.

Good pizza, good atmosphere

By DAuntDeb |

Stopped in for late evening dinner since this was near my motel. Tried the sausage and onion pizza, 10". It was a very flavorful pizza and really hit the spot. I'm going to try not to eat that pizza for every meal. Size wise it was perfect. Ate the whole thing but did not end up overly full. Service was hit and miss depending on who was attending to me. They played good music but not too loud. I will return and I do recommend

Good food

By Lorie L |

Very good food. Garlic knots are served at the beginning and they are delicious. Serving sizes are big. The service was fast and wait staff very friendly.

Great Place

By Jessica B |

Had dinner with family on a Friday night. Service was great and food was fantastic. Loved the garlic knots and margherita pizza. Would recommend

In exchange for free parking

By ChinaLake1 |

Yeah, it's true. We parked here to have lunch at Mitch's. It was a little after one, we were hungry and couldn't find a space. We borrowed one of their four empties, and hoofed it down for seafood. Divine payback: uninspired lunch (although a great view). We stopped in Pizza Nova for dessert! Now that was inspiring, huge warm chocolate chip cookie covered in vanilla ice cream streaming a wonderful multi-berry compote. Having completely enjoyed a dinner here last summer prior to a Huey Lewis evening at Humphrey's, we shoulda oughta gone for the gold. Ah, next time! Sorry, Pizza Nova. My loss.

Tasty and satisfying

By Linda W |

We just had a very tasty lunch with excellent service - homemade pasta salad! Had the veggie sandwich as a wrap - super good My friends had the chicken club sandwiches Make sure you are hungry when you go Check out the 3 -6 p.m. happy hour

Fantastic Pizza

By Andrew C |

Was looking for a good pizza before heading back to the East Coast and found this on TA only a couple miles from my hotel. Staff was friendly and place was clean. Menu overall looked very nice. We had calamari appetizer which was just ok (slightly overcooked). For pizza we had the Pizza Nova and Italian Meat. Both were served hot and were delicious. Definitely would go here for pizza again.

Amazing pesto pasta

By lpal3067 |

I had pesto pasta dish with goat cheese in it. It was so good! I keep trying to make it at home. My daughter had the margarita pizza and she loved the crust. We sat outside on the upper deck and the weather was great. The service was a little slow. If I could change one thing it would be the rolls, they were hard and super oily.

The BEST place to go after enjoying the North Coast Repertory Theater

By HeyitsmeJulie |

All of a sudden I remembered this local jewel after the theatre. The two combined make the best day! I was please to know they serve coattails as well as wine. The pizza was incredible and the salad was perfection!

A little gem on the Bay.

By BeawChan |

A couple of friends from work treated me to Pizza Nova due to my impending retirement. I had not been there for years but my friends were regular customers and raved about the Spicy Chicken Wrap, apparently one of them has that wrap everytime he goes to Pizza Nova. I am not a huge fan of wraps so I ordered the Nova Chicken Club, it was HUGE and it was very very tasty. Ingredients were very fresh, the bread was perfect and the little pasta salad I ordered on the side was also excellent. My only criticism, the bread they give you when you arrive at the table is a little too garlicky for my taste. But, I would go back again for lunch if I have a chance, that sandwich was excellent.

Lunch

By thegourmetghost |

Pizza nova has some of the best pizza's and pasta dishes! Located on San Diego bay you can checkout some of the nicest boats tied up in their slips just outside your window side table. They have some of the very affordable lunch specials in the city. Great and quick courteous service . So if you're in a hurry you'll have no worry! My favorite is their pizza and salad for 10 bucks you can't beat that with a stick. Also you will love the free garlic rolls as a starter, it's making my mouth water writing this review! If you want a great meal at a great price, you'll have to go to Pizza Nova.

Great food/Big portions

By Keyyan A |

We came here 2 nights in a row last week, while on vacation. Our server each night was "Josh". Really cool dude, who went above and beyond to take care of us (party of 9). The food here is REALLY good! Great selection of Pizza and other options. I had the spaghetti and meatballs one night and the fresh halibut the other. Both were hearty portions and very tasty. Tried some pizza of some of the family with me, and it too was great. Restaurant is located in the harbor, with great views, outside seating, and again, tasty food that is plentiful!

Go. Go.

By 2020go |

Great View of the marina. Lasagne was huge and the marinara sauce was excellent. Great service. And they didn’t add that ridiculous 4% recovery tax like so many San Diego restaurants are doing. We tipped well.

Great Pizza

By belrangodoucet |

They have every kind of pizza that you could ask for. Fast and effective service. Pipping hot food just how we like it. Would go back again. Convenient location to our hotel.

Good pizza on the water front

By Southwest_Gaucho |

Stopped in for lunch with friends and had great service and good food. No complaints from our group on pizza, salad, or garlic knots. Wasn't super busy and we sat outside so not sure about guest noise. Pizza was good and prices seemed fair for everything else you pay for at the water front. Will return in the future.

Fabulous food for everyone of our party

By KerryHannam |

All the fish dishes were delicious. Service was fabulous. Locals frequented and recommended it to us. Pizzas were great. The food plentiful and presentation very pleasant A good array of local good wines.

great pizza

By Alan Z |

great service, pizza was delicious, too many options to choose just one of.. fantastic view of harbor.

Bad service just for us

By Jane H |

Our waiter was so nice to everyone around us and immediately delivered garlic knots to their tables. We never got any garlic knots or any friendly banter. Instead, we got checks that were split EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE way of what we needed. If it wasn't possible to divide the check, we should have been asked whether we were together or separate from the start. Since we were not asked, and since Denny's knows how to split checks however, we assumed that this fancy place could, too. Compliments to the chefs. The food was delicious. I won't personally be returning, because I prefer my dinner without the side of inferiority and anxiety, plus the guilt of having my friend pay for my food, which she did not eat.

Great pizza

By Rick P |

We had a group of 9 & were well served during the supper hour. Food was great Vanessa & Brooke gave excellent service

Average pizza

By Litfiba82 |

The atmosphere and the service was good but I didn’t enjoy the pizza, I ordered a margerita with capers and anchovies, the pizza was very oily, and there was no tomato sauce (passata) on the base, it was just cheese, capers, anchovies and fresh tomatoes on top. I’m from Italy and I have never seen a margherita made like the one I had that night.

Pizza Nova YUMMMMM

By CaWineChick |

Visiting SD for my kinder's Spring Break. We spent the whole day at the Zoo and wanted something that would fill us up after a long day. Our hotel concierge suggested Pizza Nova and boy are we glad she did! That place was fantastic! The bread that is served prior to your meal is RIDICULOUS!!!!! So good - buttery, rosemary, yumminess (we asked to take some back to our room)! Our server, Jessica, was so good. Just the way you would want a server to be - attentive, funny, patient (again, a kindergartener in tow) and made no mistakes! She even made a couple of out-of-the-ordinary requests very ordinary. We were there on 50% price bottle wine (yay!), and the beers on tap looked really interesting. We opted for the wine. Unfortunately, we were too full to try the dessert. Next time. Definitely going to be a next time!

What a nice surprise!

By Tara D |

We had just checked into our hotel on shelter island and we were starving. Our GPS brought us here under a search for pizza. It was delicious! We had a few different types that all five of us enjoyed! We even had a little left over. The restaurant was clean, and quite enjoyable with a nice water view. We were hoping to go back, but didn't have time! We are still talking about our dinner there! The wait staff was wonderful as well! If you are in the area, stop!

Gorgonzola and Pear Pizza

By AlanG1967 |

Ate here at the recommendation of the hotel we were staying at. Nice and airy restaurant. We were quickly taken to our table and the service was friendly and quick. I was immediately drawn to the pizza above and decided to give the unusual (for me anyway) combo a go. Absolutely lovely. We also had the meatballs and broccoli pasta. No complaints all round. Would be happy to eat here again.

Overpriced for Average Pizza

By eaglesclaw121 |

Okay, we are from NYC, thus all pizza starts off in the negative. This pizza was somewhat tasteless, and a 14" was $16. A soda was $3.50. Both were overpriced. We were not impressed.

Really good food

By jenniej29 |

Had to stay overnight in San Diego due to a flight cancellation and went here for dinner. I had a toasted veggie sandwich with cold pasta salad which was delicious. My husband had a roasted turkey sandwich with fries which he really enjoyed too. The portions were very large. Staff were nice and friendly. A good place to eat.

Not just pizza!

By Sue S |

We particularly enjoyed our thin crust pizza. The house wine was excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. Our dining companions enjoyed a super sandwich (half to take home) and a yummy Mac and cheese.

Comfortable Patio

By ppinoy |

Stopped by for dinner. Asked to sit in their patio since we had our two service dogs. Started with the Calamari and a small The Works pizza. Food was good and pricing was fair for their location at the marina. The patio was clean, and the heaters made it comfortable dining in the evening.

Good Pizza. Good Salad. Good Service.

By mark d |

Pizza Nova hums merrily along over on the waterfront of San Diego Bay. It's a popular spot with locals and tourists alike, with a nice variety of pizza, pastas and salads, along with a good selection of craft beers. Ask for a seat by the window, and watch the comings and goings of the San Diego boating scene. You'll probably like this place.

Good food. Very loud.

By Stormridervj |

Pizza was good. Crust from the wood fired oven was exceptional as were the garlic bread rolls. But it took three tries to get lemon for my wife's water and, though my very good craft beer arrived quickly, I never got an ice water at all. The server probably didn't hear me ask for it. It's a very loud place; not due to music but just ambient noise. If you don't mind that, enjoy!

California-style pizza

By neilbW2536XR |

A convenient Bayfront location between the Airport and Point Loma with it's own parking lot. Good selection of pizzas, salads, and plates to share.

The Best House Salad!

By larilu |

On a recent visit to Pizza Nova. we ordered the lunch special which is a small salad & personal size pizza. Don't know what was better, the salad or the pizza! There is a reason why they named their salad...the best house salad. Can't wait to go back and try their other dishes. On our recent Sunday afternoon lunch, we sat outside and were treated to great service, a great view and great food. Overall Rating - Very Good

great hand stretched pizza! Always love the Ham and Pineapple!

By eric k |

Great food, I had the pizza and my wife had a salad the first night. we ate there again our last night in town as it was across from our hotel. Nothing but good things to say!

Nice casual place by the harbor

By Frisbee_0905 |

Great place within walking distance of where we were staying. Nice views of the boats in the harbor. Food and service were very good. Pizza, pasta, salad and sandwiches were all great. It's definitely worth checking out.

Heart of Italy in San Diego

By Kentwoolgar |

Dropped in for a quick bite ahead of a diving charter. The venue is well presented with a great heated outside area for the cooler evenings. The restaurant overlooks the beautiful marina with some equally beautiful boats. I have no hesitation in conveying this as an idyllic setting. A great selection of authentic pizzas although I opted for a bolognese and dough balls. The dough balls were amazing with perfect levels of garlic. The bolognese could have done with more seasoning but overall satisfying. The staff delivered great, friendly and helpful service.

Beautiful location

By Jessica Fisher |

Came here for drinks and appetizers. Complementary garlic breads replaced the need for apps. Beautiful location.

So good we visited twice

By Murray M |

We stayed at a nearby hotel pre-cruise and tried Pizza Nova the first night, it was so good we went back our second (and final) night, had pizza the first night and spaghetti the second, Very good choices!

Perfect!

By Joni P |

Fabulous in every way! Gorgeous views of the boats on the harbor. First class service by waitress Jess. Great pizza, fabulous garlic rolls, and a splendid house salad. Just a perfect meal!

On the harbor

By Christine A |

My family really enjoyed having dinner here. All the meals were excellent. We had the margarita pizza, a 3 meat pizza, the Best salad (very fresh and yummy), lasagne, and the vegan tomato basil angel hair pasta. We were started out with a complimentary appetizer plate of garlic knots. The server seemed a bit distracted, but other than that it was perfect and highly recommended.

Nice quick dinner before heading to airport

By Julia N |

I've been to this establishment about 10 years ago and really enjoyed it so decided to grab a quick pizza dinner before my flight back home. The hostess was extremely accommodating (as we told her we were in a rush) and seated us in the tables up front. The garlic knot appetizers were to die for. Not so garlicky that it overpowered but nicely infused with rosemary. I could've eaten more. We ordered a margarita and a prosciutto arugula pizza. Both very good although I'm an East Coast girl so I can only say "very good" and not "excellent"! Other nice items on the menu which I didn't order due to time but I've had their salad in the past and everything was fantastic. Very neat and clean. I was expecting it to look a little more run down since I was here 10 years ago but it looked just as updated and clean as before. Only 5 minutes from the airport so a BIG plus.

Awesome woodfired pizza.

By Mary_D45 |

Recommend it highly. Eat in, take out, or delivery. Service was great and staff attentive and friendly.

Stop and eat!!

By TRACIA B |

Kelly was our waitress she made our first that much better with her recommendations. It were a group of six and she was very patient and accommodating. The pizza was DELICIOUS (bbq chicken and portobello mushroom) as well. The mai tai was two sweet for my taste but maybe you will like it. You have to finish with a slice of their cheesecake. 🤗 Happy Eating!

Eclectic & Delicious

By Sullivan F |

Perfect dinner for a relaxing evening! They offer several eclectic menu items as well as the basics, like spaghetti. We had a 15 minute wait, as we came to Pizza nova at 7 on a Monday night. But the staff were kind and efficient! Our food was superb!! Highly recommend!

Really nice restaurant close to our hotel

By Beth L |

We ate here our first night in San Diego. It was a nice location on the water. My husband and I both had the Fettuccine, Prawns & Prosciutto and it was amazing. Our server was excellent and the restaurant was clean.

great spot

By t-rockin |

wonderful. food and staff are the best. special shout to Chris who took great care of us. I came with wife and 5 year old...

Friendly and relaxed pizza

By Wayne S |

After a hard day of sightseeing we just wanted to unwind with an unfussy pizza and coke and this restaurant delivered just that. Service was very friendly and relaxed and immediately put us at ease. The restaurant has great views over the harbour, which was a nice bonus. The pizzas were perfect and authentic and the desserts were delicious. We didn't expect much when we entered this restaurant, but were very pleasantly surprised. Good value, simple fayre and great service. Highly recommended.

Good view of marina. Food variable.

By Alison52 |

On an uncharacteristically cold and wet day in san Diego we ended up at Pizza Nova as all the indoor tables were taken at the nearby Point Loma seafoods. At least we were warm and dry and had a good view of the boats in the harbour. This is a modern, slightly clinical restaurant but the welcome was warm and it appeared popular with returning customers. My sea food chowder was good, piping hot and tasty and my Caesar Salad with anchovies also hit the spot. However, my husband's tempura fish and chips was greasy and undercooked and the coffee I ordered had a strange chemical taste. Given the number of other restaurants in the area I am not sure I would return.

Great food and service from here

By Ron H |

In the area (a little out of the way from the main area of San Diego) this place is a little gem my wife and I both enjoyed the food and variety of dishes they have good service good price

Good food

By June Y |

Good location. Walking distance from several hotels. Food prices were typical tourist area prices, a little on the high side. The small pepperoni pizza was tasty, but a bit greasy. The spaghetti and meatballs was good. Love the garlic knots.

Yummy!

By mstash2018 |

Great place, great food! We usually stay within walking distance and have never been disappointed! Pizza is really good and all ingredients are fresh.

Nice meal

By Lifeisonetrip |

We were staying in the area and wanted a nice outdoor area to have either happy hour and/or a pizza dinner. We arrived for happy hour, which is not much at this time. The waitress was excellent and we had a great meal of pizza, wings and drinks. Not cheap by all means, but pleasant and good. The price was a bit too much.

GOOD PIZZA WITH A VIEW

By teeth16 |

Get there early. They get VERY busy. Best Caesar Salad! Pizza is pricey, but good. Great date night place. We went here for our last night in San Diego. Plenty of free parking.

Great place for a rehearsal dinner.

By sandiego29 |

We had our son's rehearsal dinner here. We used the upstairs room with the outside patio for seating. The view is amazing. Everyone there was so professional and wonderful to work with. Having never eaten there, I was amazed how tasty everything was. Will be going back there for lunch and dinner.

Pizza Nova was a hit!

By Alisa B |

We are vacationing in San Diego. I overheard some locals talking about coming to dinner here and how much they loved it, so we decided to try it. Sooooo glad we did! Garlic balls are the bomb! We ordered the best salad, fettuccini and bruschetta. All of it was so delicious and the price was surprisingly affordable for a family of four. The view is lovely as you look out the window at the boats docked in the marina. Will put this on our must do when we come to San Diego again!

Dinner at Pizza Nova

By Bumper2 |

This restaurant is much more than a pizza place. We ate there two consecutive nights while staying at the Best Western Harbor Yacht, which is across the street. The service is great as well as the view. We sat in the bar both nights and enjoyed nice marina views both times. We had a vegetarian pizza the first night and spaghetti (with six delicious meat balls) and lasagna the next night. Both were very good. Garlic knots are served with meals. Try to arrive during happy hour to get some drink deals. There were some very good craft beers available for suds aficionados. We will return to Pizza Nova when back in San Diego.

Super pizza

By Jeff A |

Lunch special of pizza and salad was so good. Great salad and super tasty pizza hit the spot for $12. Can't go wrong here

Wonderful wood fired pizza

By Eva S |

Overlooking a marina with a perky ambiance inside, this pizza restaurant fit the bill for a nice dinner. We started with the calamari appetizer -- the lemon dip was yummy. The wood fired Portobello, Pancetta & Truffle Oil pizza was large enough to split and delicious. Along with glasses of house wine, the cost was quite reasonable!

Great service, great view, and great food

By TooMuch2Do |

I was looking for a place for a quick dinner to celebrate our team winning a lacrosse tournament but close to the airport so they could make their flights. I picked Pizza Nova based on location and was expecting a run-of-the-mill pizza joint. So I was amazed by its harbor-front location. Even though the upstairs patio wasn't yet open, the server was early so they seated us there and we had it all to ourselves. The view was amazing! Everyone enjoyed their pizza and I loved my caprese salad. Kudos to the staff for a great experience for our final, celebratory meal in San Diego.

WORST PIZZA

By Rey |

The service was good but the PIZZA was the worst I have ever had. The cheese was the nastiest thing I ever smelled and tasted. Waste of money....

Harborside dining

By phxchica127 |

Had a good dinner here after a day of touring San Diego as it was a short walk from our hotel. A short wait and we were seated and promptly waited upon. Our server presented us with a plate of garlic rolls before taking our orders. Tried the Cucumber Basil Gingerale mule...really good. Companion tried the strawberry basil drink and was not impressed. Greatly preferred my choice. Ordered the Combo pizza, fettuccini Alfredo and the sausage and peppers pasta. Pasta was fresh and delicious. Pizza was thin crust and piled with peppers meat and a minimum of cheese. Very happy with all choices. Service was very good.

Pizza at it's finest

By Joseph N |

I had the goat cheese pizza. It was awesome in flavor. A bit small for the price, but it is San Diego on the waterfront.

Basic food

By eim |

We ordered a pasta dish with two burgers. The food was bland. My pasta dish was something I could make at home. The burgers were nice although had a weird after taste. We also ordered sliders but we were not charged for them. The service however was excellent and the waiter was very nice. Pizzas did look good- we should of went for them.

Pizza Nova - Shelter Island

By Steve Concialdi |

Large portions and great quality food. Tara our server was very nice. Great view of the bay with indoor & outdoor seating. Big screen TVs in the bar area with the Dodgers playoff game on & Sunday night football too. I highly recommend this restaurant. Steve Concialdi

Good for a gathering

By nmb |

Nice area for a large gathering, adults and kids. The enclosed open air area was heated, service was good. Surprised that entrees and salads were served together. Food was good with a menu that caters to all. Full bar, especially liked prices on Wednesday wine night Parking was free and adequate

Great food, go during the daylight to see the wharf

By LoveRescueDogs |

Too dark when we went to enjoy the view, but the food and service were both great, no reservations needed.

A two visit in 5 day kind of place

By MHanover10 |

All the food was very fresh and flavorful. The free garlic rolls were a burst of goodness in the mouth. We were fighting over them and had to come back a second time just to have more. The calamari was the best we have ever had, which we figured by the ocean they would be. The pizza had a crust that was chewy soft. Everything was so good we came back 3 days later and tried the pasta and a salad. If we had stayed longer than 5 days we probably would have visited again. Something for everyone in the family. Good prices, the alcoholic drink was delicious and I almost had another one since I just had to cross the street. This is well worth the stop. They were very busy which showed it was a popular place. Plus who doesn't like a view of the marina.

Convenient To Our Hotel

By Binky L |

Good service, okay pizza, etc., gets crowded and plenty of seating. Nice wine list, complimentary garlic rolls with way too much garlic.

Great Environment overlooking the harbor

By Andrew D |

We dined here to celebrate our 20th Anniversary from Arizona. We love the ocean and the beach. The food was good. We had the buffalo wings, Cesar salad, and the works pizza. The pizza was a nice wood fired pizza and very good. They serve complimentary rolls covered in olive oil and garlic that are addicting. The price was fair. Not cheap but not outrageous.

Terrific Wood Fired Pizza with Excellent Craft Beer Options

By aeroeng22 |

Been here 3 times in the last month as a visitor to SD. Excellent wood fired pizza, I preferred the BBQ chicken. Longer than usual craft beer menu. Agree with one commenter below--garlic roll appetizers (with every meal) to DIE for! Can't get enough of them. Excellent location on the harbor; atmosphere outstanding. As good as the now closed Wolfgang Pucks in Ontario Mills.

2 day trip

By Elaine C |

We had lunch on the marina. We had the Mediterranean veggie pizza and a Greek salad. The pizza was fabulous, salad was large and delicious. The rolls they bring you to start are to die for. Recommend this restaurant!! Service was fantastic.

Fun and affordable Happy Hour

By TJ Hill |

We were looking for some place with a nice patio to enjoy on a warm afternoon. My wife had a good experience at Happy Hour with friends recently so we came to Pizza Nova. We got a table outside and had a very nice experience.Jessica was our server and she was great! The food and drinks we ordered were good. The prices very affordable. Certainly consider Pizza Nova for Happy Hour!

Good food

By GIGI ,2010, |

We come to this pizza place for lunch and the place was very busy and it took longer than expected to be seated and because they are busy they brought my hot soup with my pasta with sausage at the same time even I (did) ask the waitress to give me a lil time between the soup and the pasta So I can enjoy my food but.... nothing I could do about it ,,,, anyway the food was good and the service would be much better

Great pizza and other dishes as well

By PlatMarriottRewards |

Pizza Nova is one of our family's favorites and we go every time we visit San Diego. The pizza is excellent other favorites are the garlic bread balls and pasta dishes. as an added bonus it's a very nice ambience located directly on the marina with great views if you get one close to the window.

Disappointed!

By brodge |

Read good reviews about this place so called in a pizza for carryout last night while staying nearby on Point Loma. I was told it would be ready in 10 minutes - that should have been the first clue. When we arrived 10 minutes later, it was ready and a 2 ingredient large pizza rang up to be $25.86. I questioned the amount, but was told that was correct. Pizza was tasteless and expensive, so would think twice about going here for pizza.

Delicious!

By Cari D |

Amazing pizza! I really enjoyed it. Very great price for good quality food. Great view of the docks with all of the boats.

We use them for catering guests and frequent this location frequently!

By Captain Jason L |

We use Pizza Nova catering for our guests at Yachting San Diego. Customers are always happy!! Also, my wife and I live in the neighborhood and are regulars. You get garlic knots with every meal, their Lamb Shank is to die for, and we love their pizza too!!!

Great place - great pizza

By PESE |

Nice view at the harbour front, friendly staff, good beer and great pizzas. The appetizer- a variant of the renown bruschetta - is very delicate.

Came In Hungry And It Did Not Disappoint

By JohnFromSantaClara |

We stayed at a hotel across the street. On our first day we arrived after a very long drive and were tired and very hungry. We staked out the place online then discovered it was right across the street! The beer selection was hand picked and very nice. San Diego is hot right now with local breweries and it showed. The pizza and salads starred. I had the pear and gorgonzola pizza...mine was the only one not perfect...it was a bit soggy on the inside. We loved it! One of the only 5 star rated places the family visited on this trip@ :D

Great location and good food!

By Tampatricia |

We went to this restaurant because it was across the road from our hotel and recommended by the front desk staff. It faces the marina so has a pleasant atmosphere and the staff was very friendly. The food was good, and although I am usually disappointed by non NY pizza I have to admit the personal size pizza here was very good! Pasta was fresh and sandwiches are huge and nicely prepared. Definitely recommend!

Yum!

By skippynpita |

We stopped at Pizza Nova on the way to Point Loma because it was easy to park and it wasn’t busy at 2pm. What a find! Homemade breads of all kinds. The garlic butter rolls are delivered to every table—a definite must but don’t fill up on them! The Best Salad was an awesome side salad with their recommended dressing. The mini white pepperoni pizza was very tasty and the crust light and crisp. The meatball sandwich was on a homemade bread and impossible to finish-a rarity for my husband! Rachel was our server and she was very sweet and personable. She even remembered us when we visited for dinner the next day! Yes, so good we went right back for dinner. The lasagna was made with homemade noodles and had plenty of cheese and meat. I would recommend trying it over the lamb shank. My husband enjoyed it but his heart is with the lamb shank in Greektown, Detroit. If you can stop for a quick meal close to the marina, do so, you can’t go wrong!

Okay service, mediocre pizza

The views are the best thing about this place. The service was adequate, but didn't blow me away. The pizza left a lot to be desired.

Great food

By wahenry98 |

Large varied menu with great selections. Fairly new restaurant. Has large variety of pizza but also many pasta, sandwiches, soups and salads on the menu.

Great Pizza

By APAT12345 |

Good choices, anyone that loves bread/roll they serve this awesome round roll with oil. They are piping hot. The pizza was great. One 10 inch is enough for 2 people along with a salad. Good service.

Yummy pizza and mimosas after paddleboarding!

By EmenPea |

We come here after paddleboarding at OEX right next door. Love the gluten free veggie pizza, as well as their mimosa specials! Great view, ample parking, friendly servers!

Pizza meets marina

By Linda1993 |

Good pizza and pasta. Near several marinas to go available. But be prepared, it's pricey! Friendly, pleasant

Just what we were looking for!

By caramia57 |

Stopped by Pizza Nova while on vacation in San Diego. Nice assortment of wood-fired pizza, salads, pasta, full bar with cocktails, beer and wine. Had the "Best Salad".....yes, it's called the Best Salad, and it definitely is worthy of that name. Mixed greens, carmelized walnuts, cranberries, apples, gorgonzola....Yummy! This, combined with a thin, wood-fired Margherita pizza, made for a great visit. Very friendly bartender and staff.

Great service!

By Hannibegan18 |

4 of us visited for dinner on a Thursday. Were sat right away and had a nice view of the harbor (albeit it was dark and foggy). Our server was awesome and very attentive. (Hate that I can't recall her name to give her a proper shout out) Alcohol (besides the beer on HH special) was a bit expensive, and made up half of our triple digit bill (hence my only reason for a 4 rating and not 5). The food was average priced and the pizza crust and the free garlic knots were TO DIE FOR! ... I may have even scavenged the table scraps for leftover crust ;) Special note, the nova mule was mighty tasty and the best bang for the buck when comparing price to size.

Good pizza

By Jairo A |

We had a nice afternoon with great pizza, great bread, really tastefull, we want to go back again!!!

excellant

By TAIPANPR55 |

stopped here waiting to leave on dive boat and must say this is a close and excellant place to stop on North Harbor Drive. Will return again next time in SD

Absolutely delicious, wonderful food and ambiance

By R C |

We have not been here for a year or so, but just happened to stay overnight nearby and realized that Pizza Nova was very close so we HAD to go. This pizza place is not just the best at wood fired pizzas but has really good other options to satisfy anyones cravings. And I really recommend their 'Mission Mai Tai' - favorite of mine although I rarely consume alcohol any more, cannot resist ordering this drink when there... Husband had the salmon basil risotto, loved it. Stop here you will not regret it.

Great little place.

By lotteeb2 |

Nice setting. Plenty of choice on the menu. Food is really good. Good value for money. Carlie/Carly our server was very kind.

Affordable, Good variety, Great view and Craft Beer

By HikingHonu |

I have eaten here only twice, even though I live locally. My niece loves it here so I went with them to dinner a few times. It is on the Marina near Shelter Island, down the way from the SD AIrport. Parking can be a little challenging in the parking lot, but you can park further away or on the street. There is a small patio outdoors with a fire pit overlooking the walkway and marina. They specialize in pizza and pasta, but they also have some healthy salads as well. They offer local craft beers and wine too. There is a children's menu as well. We ordered a large pizza for the 3 of us to share and 1 side salad on my 2nd trip here. The first trip, my friend and I shared a salad and large pizza ( with leftovers to take)- Pear and Gorgonzola- and my niece ate the kids mac and cheese. Their rolls are very good as well, be careful not to eat too much of them or you could have those with a dinner salad and be satiated easily. The first time they had Ballast Point Sculpin on draft so we ordered that to drink, but the next time they had other selections on tap. Our server was helpful in choosing from the options that night, but I can't remember what I decided upon, it was an IPA with blood orange and it was good. I like hoppy beers, and this was the one she suggested with that in mind. My second trip we made our own pizza- ordered a large mushroom and artichoke heart. It was a little heavy on the cheese, but it was still good. It seems to be crowded, especially on the weekends, but it is a nice option for locals and travellers alike.

Always good food!

By Lorli |

We live close by and eat here or have it delivered every couple of weeks. We've never had a bad meal. I have tried most of their pasta dishes and can't pick a favorite, they're all tasty!

Super Yummy

By CRC |

Were from Albuquerque Everything was really yummy and our service was terrific. We were staying at the best western harbor across the street. The salad and margaerita pizza was delicious. You will be very pleased. Thank you. See you again soon The cuoco family

Fresh and Delicious 😋

By Yahdinah S |

They have great delicious salads and the pizza is also awesome! We were only in San Diego for 2 days and we ate here twice. We're both ' prescatarian' and salad lovers therefore they have the best salad options. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking just for some light healthy food. Oh let's not skip out on the dogs, It's really a dog friendly place you will see dogs every time that you go and they actually have a dog menu.

Great food with great view

By nathaliehavtan |

I love this place and I have been coming here for years with my family. They have the best garlic knots and great food. The service is nice and the workers are friendly. I love the view of the marina. Great for lunch or dinner.

Great pizza and excellent service

we enjoyed pizza and salad at Pizza Nova. Food was good and service was excellent. We recommend this restaurant.

Great Food,Great Atmoshere

By Yosemitesteve |

There was a waiting list for dinner on a Thursday night. We sat at the bar and had some beer before ordering.I had the .394 Tony Gwynn and it was very good.Everything here was great. The bartender/waiter(Stevie)was very attentative and made sure to get what we needed quickly. We had tai peanut chicken pasta and the flavors were off the chart and so was the portabella pancetta pizza. Both dishes were some of the better my wife and I have tasted. It was located across from our hotel on the harbor. There’s upstairs outside seating with harbor views. If its daytime I recommend that for your seating. Might be back again tonight.

If You're in mood for Piza

By caymama |

Grandson "NEEDED" pizza one day and we enjoyed this pizza next to the harbor. Service was good, good selection of pizzas to choose from. Bar was good. I'd go again.

Great pizza and Italian food

By Jen G |

Dined here on recommendations from locals. The garlic knots are addictive, and pizzas very delicious- crisp & chewy. Also had a gorgeous piece of salmon on risotto. Good taps and wine list too! Place was busy on a Friday night but they really seated us quickly, they keep it moving. May well return again on this visit!

Average

By Kyla C |

The complimentary garlic knots were so good and easily the best part of the meal. We had pasta that lacked flavour and the service was slow. We ate on the patio though. Being outside with a view of the harbour was great, especially because the space had heaters .

As a pizza lover, this place was heaven

By RD P |

Seriously one of the best pizzas I have had. The service we received this night was top notch. Their choices of beer was a little disappointing for a simple country boy like me but I eventually found one that I like. Lots of choices in pizza toppings and crusts. Its a small but cozy place.

Location, Location and Pizza

By UKHoT_Traveller |

Attentive and Friendly (not over powering or manufactured) service, fab pizzas and good choice of beers and wine. Overlooking the harbour it's a great place to take in the San Diego skyline.

Thin crust pizza

By Michael W |

The best I have had on the California coast. Absolutely to die for good! Do not miss this one, that is, unless you like the thick, doughy, chewy, pizza with tons of drippy cheese--if you do, skip PN and go to Domino's or the other pizza chains and then make a stop at McDonald's or Burger Chef after, followed by an afternoon sleeping it off on the living room couch.

Pizza & Pasta

By Chris S |

Great wood-fired pizza. Easy access on the harbor from the Liberty Station area hotels. There are pasta options as well.

Great Food!

By Mark T |

During our stay in San Diego, we decided to eat here because it was right across the street from the Best Western hotel in which we were staying. We had a group of six people and we tried three different pizzas. We chose the royal Hawaiian, the barbecue chicken, and the supreme. We also ordered the best salad to add to the meal, which had glazed walnuts, which really added to the salad. The food was great and because of the overall quality, our group dined there twice. The staff was very friendly and waited on us very promptly. Easily one of the best pizzas we ever ate. Prices are reasonable and represent good value. 5 stars easily!

One of our ‘go to’ restaurants

By Snorris57 |

We chose Pizza Nova for a large retirement party and were able to order off the menu. We love this place anyways but the ambiance of the bay makes this a relaxing dining experience. Love the Pizza and salads. Fettuccine pasta a favorite. Service is pretty good and they cater to your needs. Going fishing? Fast service. Want an enjoyable no rush experience then they will slow it down for you.

Good lunch

By rhenness11 |

This is not for large groups. I went alone however the space is small and did not appear to be a good fit for large groups. I went for lunch which was great. I had the pizza and salad which was great. There is outdoor seating and a great view of the harbor

Good Pizza and Pasta dishes

By claudia b |

Good place for pasta, pizza and soup. Large portions. Nice red marinara on the pasta. The bowls of soup are filling and are a meal in itself. Amazing garlic, olive oil bread balls come with every meal. Nice place for families or with friends. Service is quick and responsive. Good local place.

Awful Mother's Day experience.

By jean p |

They forgot the sauce and my basil on both pizzas. The pepperoni was greasy and not crispy. Thanks for the horrible mother's Day "PIZZA"

Absolutely top place

By PeteFromRetford |

This place is excellent. From the marina front location to the value and quality of the food it was tough to find any fault with the place. It’s furnished in a cool and modern style and the views are splendid. At weekends there is a roof terrace that is open but we visited in a Monday and had a regular window table. We both had pizza which were hot and extremely tasty with delicious thin but doughy bases. We received complementary garlic dough balls which were enough for us not to need any starter. There are several craft beers on offer and a good selection of wine and cocktails. They also do takeout! Great place.

Excellent wood fired pizza

By williamdboggs |

Restaurant was clean, well staffed and organized. Server was friendly and efficient. Six TV's to choose from while dining in. Beer selection was off the hook. Views of the Shelter Island Marina were to die for.

Good Pizza!

By Brindy S |

I love the garlic balls they bring out when you sit down - We thought that was a nice touch. Our server was friendly and attentive. They had a decent beer menu and I loved my pizza that I ordered. My fiance was fairly disappointed in the lasagna though and wished he would of ordered a pizza. They were open later than most other restaurants in the area.

Outstanding Pizza

By GunnerNate |

Was seated and with a minute, the bread came out drenched in Olive oil. Very tasty! We ordered the works pizza. The ingredients were plentiful and fresh! The pizza was one of the best I have ever had! We also had there local brews! Also very good! All and all, a place to go to when in San Diego!

Delicious food!!!

By chimakuni |

I had the chicken lime pasta dish, which was more like a pad thai and it was excellent. The portion was so large I was able to take it with me and have it for dinner the same evening. I also had a small Best Salad, which was huge and delightful to eat.

Birthday dissapointment

By Arepa Queen |

I was looking forward to making the best of my first birthday during COVID19. Hubby and I planned ahead and had our 4 family members plus our two children and two dogs come and meet us at Pizza Nova by the Harbor Sunday 8/16/20 around 1:30pm. I called ahead of time to see if they took reservations and the person that picked up the phone was EXTREMELY rude. She said we are first come first serve if you get a table to sit you all great if not oh well sorry her voice was filled with attitude. My in laws got there first waied 45 minutes and saw about 6 couples that had just arrived being seated before our party of 6 adults two children even being offered to be seated. We checked in twice with the manager for that hour wait and she was very very rude snapping back at our plea to get her staff to put two empty tables together. Finally we decided to leave. We went around the corner to Miguel's Cocina on Scott Avenue which was DELIGHTFUL! I will write a review on their page. Check it out. They were seriously amazing. Forget Pizza Nova it's more like Pizza NO! GO!

Solid Pizza

By MommyJM |

Being from the east coast, good pizza is hard to find. This was definitely solid and good easy inexpensive meal. Would go back!

Lovely spot, with tasty food

By Robert G |

Stopped to an early dinner with family. Our party of 6 was seated within 5 minutes and a waitress promptly served us drinks and left menus for us to review. After a bit of time of friendly talk, we all ordered. We had arrived early enough to take advantage of "happy hour" and a couple of us ordered some of those beverages. The food arrived within a reasonable period of time, served directly from the kitchen, steaming hot. I especially enjoyed the meatball sandwich. Pizza is also a very popular entree. We stayed for a bit talking an no one seemed to mind our occupying the table for this added length of time. We enjoyed the view and the food was more than ample. It is worth trying if you are in the neighborhood.

Quick dinner

By Elaine K |

The food was good, but absolutely no atmosphere. The waitress really never showed throughout our dinner. Simple pizza and it was a get them in and them out atmosphere. Wouldn’t go back.

Excellent!

By lulukale |

Strengths - friendly staff - accommodating to dietary needs - excellent food Areas of Growth - needs to do lights so it feels more like a hip restaurant at night

Birthday dinner

By Pete W |

Consistantly good food. Nice waterfront location. Best salad is the best. Dough ball bread in oil and garlic is delicious. Request them plain if you have a problem with garlic.

Only okay

By sunnyalberta27 |

Restaurant has a nice location on the Harbor with free parking. Reviews said pizza was great, best ever, etc... We were a group of 8 and found the pizza lacking sauce, mediocre taste and one couples pizza was burnt. Drinks and the pizza were expensive. I would not recommend this location.

Great Play to Eat!!!

By Jeep_Guy43 |

I was recently in San Diego for Business and Pizza Nova was across the street from my hotel. It is a fantastic place to eat. I ate there 3 times and each one of the different meals was Great. The staff was attentive and enthusiastic.

Delicious food, reasonable prices and excellent service. What else can you say?

By Dick C |

The pizza is excellent and having owned 2 Pizza places I can honestly attest to that. The baked garlic, wow soooo good. Delicious salad dressings and the Belgian white beer is the best I have ever tasted. Don't miss Pizza Nova.

Great venue to celebrate a friends birthday

By Raz E |

We had a wonderful experience with local and out of town guest celebrating a friends birthday last Friday evening. The salads and pizza were great, loved the gorgonzola and prosciutto pizza with spinach. I brought a cake and the staff very nicely added candles and brought it out singing to our table. We all had a great time. They even provided take home containers for cake to go home with some of us.

Pizza Nova on the water in San Diego

By Steve Concialdi |

Great Italian restaurant in Shelter Island. The garlic rolls are a must have. Their pasta, pizza & salads are large & very tasty. Gorgeous views of the water & boats right outside of the windows. Large big screen TVs show the big games. Highly recommend. Steve Concialdi

Extremely delicious, great place and friendly service

By Raphael |

Warm and extremely empathetic service Mia. The pizzas were very delicious as well as the ordered spaghetti. The Mood is easy to reach directly at the harbour and next to our hotel

Amore Pizza Nova

By Austin H |

Our cousins could not stop talking about the pizzas they had at Pizza Nova so we had to try for ourselves. We elected to do the call ahead carry out and that presented no problem. There was parking available for pick up orders which made it convenient to get our pizza and go back to the motel. We had ordered a large pizza with my favorite toppings on half and Lorrie's favorite toppings on the other half. The pizza had a medium thick crust which gave a little crunch to the edge. We opted for the white alfredo style sauce rather than the usual red tomato sauce and could not have been more satisfied. Try it, you'll like it.

Good Stuff

By Catherine M |

My kid is a lover of all things pizza and he wasn’t disappointed. The surroundings are quite nice, all the boats and the atmosphere of Pizza Nova is inviting and portion sizes are spot on. Mixed drinks are nice...not too strong, but it’s that lava cake, ohhhh that’s some good stuff right there!

OMG LOVE this place

By tcmarquis |

The garlic rolls are the best I have ever had! They have fresh garlic, other herbs and spices-so fresh and tasty. I could have eaten 2 plates full myself. I had the margarita pizza, also wonderful. Our server was friendly and efficient. I would definitely add this place to your list of stops.

Always a great experience!

By surfengirl |

We live, literally just steps from this amazing place! I wake up in the morning, smelling the wood oven fire and crave it all day! It’s hard to walk past and not get hungry! The staff is always pleasant and very accommodating. The food is always spot on! Our last two servers were Stephen & Stevie. Great personalities, great service with a smile! We will always come back! Thank you to the whole kitchen and wait staff. You guys rock! Oh!! The new Berry crisp on the menu.... next level of yum on the flavor train!

Better than average

By Tom Wilson |

Three of us visited for pizza but they offer a variety of foods, not just Italian. My wife and I shared a large pizza which was not super, for $25 but We also ordered the Lobster bisque to share. The bisque did not have much meat in it but it was tasty. Our friend had the white bean minestrone and a personal size pizza. She only ate half of the soup so we assumed she wasn’t thrilled with it. I would return again but I think I would order other than the pizza next time, either the fettuccine Alfredo or the spaghetti.

MMM, pizza.

By Joseph N |

I had an amazing pizza there. Goat cheese, pancetta, red onions and spinach. Washed it down with a Nova Mule, which is the best cocktail I have ever tried.

Pizza Nova for lunch

By krrtlr1 |

Pizza was very good. Many types and sizes to choose from, or you can design and make your own. Service was good.

Lunch special is a great value, Gluten Free pizza is excellent

By Rich K |

My wife and I dined here for lunch recently. She is gluten-free, I am not. We both found outstanding items on the menu that appealed to our individual tastes. She had the GF pizza, I had the pasta bolognese. She raved so much about the GF Pizza, I had to try it. It was better than most wheat based crusted pizza that I've had.

Wonderful

By Robert N |

I have been visiting San Diego for many years, usually staying in the Point Loma area (see my review of Humphrey’s Half Moon Inn). Pizza Nova is my go-to dinner spot. Although an upscale Pizza place, I have never eaten pizza here! Instead, I enjoy a pasta dish they make which I have never found an equal off, anywhere. Originally in an old clapboard waterfront building, they tore down and rebuilt a modern place that even after 17 years still looks new and up to date. I always get the Broccoli with Penne pasta (I am vegetarian.). I wash it down with a non-alcohol Buckler beer and enjoy their garlic “knot” bread, dripping with garlic olive oil. The tastes are unabashedly bold with sun dried tomato and garlic added to the broccoli. Not a cheap eats place, I paid almost thirty dollars, including the tip, for the above dish, a small and very dehlicious “Perfect” salad and a N/A beer. Well worth it though and I will continue to go back whenever I visit San Diego!

Good Pie

By JBfromNPNY |

Ordered a large cheese for pick-up. After waiting over an hour for a text to confirm, I went inside and it was in a heater. The pizza was Ok, but I'm told the salads are the best in San Diego.

Amazing views while eating pizza

By Theresa r |

While visiting my son in the Navy he recommended this place since he eats there regularly and had Pizza 2 times. 1 cheese and the other pepperoni both were amazing. Its a brick oven so very crispy and tasty. We sat outside over looking the marina. The staff are all so nice. Also did a take out order and ready in 15 minutes. They gave us everything we needed since staying in a hotel room.

Compelling Cuisine and COVID-19 Conscious

By SteveLicata |

My wife and I really enjoyed this place twice on our anniversary trip - once for their excellent Happy Hour specials and then the big celebratory pasta dinner. The freshness and handmade nature of the food is really quite evident. For appetizers during Happy Hour we enjoyed an excellent small pizza, fried calamari (melts like butter instead of grinding like rubber), Korean wings and spicy meatballs - all for about $2.00 off. The dinner, however, was fantastic - try their inhouse Pasta Nove with smoked salmon and my wife loved her Fettuccine, Prawns and Proscuitto. At only $14 and $18, respectively the quality is excellent and, when combined with their homemade garlic rolls, each of these is a two-meal serving given the very generous portions. To top it off, their homemade Tiramisu is lighter than air and absolutely outstanding. You would easily pay at least $5 more at any "trending place, and still not be dining right on the marina and get nearly as good quality food. This literally was my first sit-down restaurant experience in 14 months and everything about this place made me feel safe and comfortable. We started with outdoor dining for the first day then indoors for the big pasta dinner. The wait staff were very courteous and all wearing masks, as were the clients at all times except when actually seated at their properly socially-distanced table. The vibe here is laid back and if we had more time in SD we might have dined here almost every afternoon or evening. Grazie mille, Pizza Nova!

Best dinner in this trip

By Sam B |

We chose this place because it was across the street from our hotel. It was fantastic! Mariah was our server and she was wonderful. Nice beer selection! Neither if us had pizza, we each had pasta. We had been to Little Italy the night before and spent 3 times more for fair dinners. This was so great, we will continue to make sure we go again when we are in San Diego.

Great Artisan Pizza

By Lakeranger |

I'm a visiting Texas and I thoroughly enjoyed the Famous BBQ chicken pizza. The crust was thin and crispy with the right amount of toppings. The wood fired oven imparts a suptle smoky flavor. I highly recommend.

Best Pizza in town

By marriedmary2015 |

We stumble upon Pizza Nova many years back and simply love this place to eat every time we are in town. Usually we try to get to San Diego once a year or every other if we can. And the first place we head to is Pizza Nova. They have a white pizza that is so good. And their salads are just as good. We are planning to go there Labor Day weekend for the week and we will be dining there our first night for sure. This location is nice as its right on the Harbor and afterwards you can take a stroll and look at all of the boats that are dock there. We were there last MAY of 2016

Great Pizza and Atmosphere

By johnnyfrank66 |

Walking distance from our Holiday Inn hotel to Bayside area. Enjoyed pizza and beer while watching the Preakness Stakes ! Fun !!

Food was still excellent, but they need more help

By Merci O |

The food was still great, but the service was slow and absent. When we walked in from the entrance to the back of the restaurant near the restaurant, there were at least 3 tables un-bussed. By the time we left an hour later, those tables still had not been cleaned.

Good Pizza And Italian On The Point Loma Bayside

By Zoom_Gotti |

Good for a pizza party. But for me, it was just a late evening meal. Not being able to down a pizza at that hour, I settled for a spaghetti dish with portobello mushrooms. Not on the menu, but created ad hoc. there's also a nice choice of apps, salads, and other entrees, along with a variety of pizzas (or create one). Good craft beers on draft. And lots of wine choices, though spaghetti and beer sits better for me. On the marina. Maybe walk it off afterward.

Really Yummy

By Experienced_8 |

If you want really good oven fired pizza try this restaurant. The menu has so many choices and toppings that you could have something different for a year. They also have a nice assortment of fish and pasta dishes as well. They also deliver. They give you an order of garlic knots for free with each order. The location on North Harbor is very scenic with views of the yachts in the harbor. I loved this place!

Consistently good pizza

By Californiaguy |

Great restaurant. I’ve been coming here for years and the pizza is in the top 5 places I’ve ever been too. I travel often and I crave this place when I’m out of town, especially at other pizza places. Great service too.

Good not great

By epsharon |

Got takeout and while the food was decent it was overpriced for what we got. Pizza is ok but it was pretty thin with huge crust ends so not much actual pizza. Worst chicken strips we’ve ever had. Small and thin, can definitely be skipped. Wife liked her Asian chicken salad and would get again. Super convenient to where we were staying but was a bit lacking.

Nice place for pizza

By Haimanti B |

This pizza tastes so good! We were staying at a hotel, and it was lunchtime, so we found this place, and took a to-go order. Very fast and nice quality service. That pizza was the best pizza ever. The well roasted vegetables and the quality cheese was very good. We will come here back soon on the next time we come to vacation at San Diego!

Delicious food with a water view

By Diana S |

Fast service, wonderful food. We have enjoyed the wait staff recommendations for beer or wine. We ate there a couple of times during the week. Our favorite is the wood-fired pizza. Your meal comes with freshly baked mini-rolls brushed with garlic butter--they are still warm and very tasty.

Great pizza!

By Karen C |

We were staying at a nearby hotel and after walking around the marina we stopped here for lunch. Our server was quite friendly. He brought garlic rolls before our meal which were delicious. We split a pizza and it was really good. I didn't have to flag down a waiter for water either, he refilled it many times, just what I like! The decor of the restaurant is light and airy and it wasn't too loud. Just a really nice spot.

Good food, nice view

By FlyerInMinn |

We ate at Pizza Nova for dinner. We had a party of 6 (4 adults, 2 teens). Food was good. We had a confusion between what we expected and what was served, and they accommodated what we needed. View of the harbor is nice. Parking is crowded. Menu is a variety of Italian, not just pizza.

Good Food, nice location

By OnTheCoastAl |

The title says it all. It is well located on the quayside where you can watch the activity of all the yachts and pleasure fishing boats. Other than that, good pizza with distinctly average desserts. A good selection of local beers on tap - but make sure you know how strong they can be before you order! Nothing wrong with the restaurant or food, but not somewhere I would race back to.

Short stop, long love

By Tim |

Really nice restaurant with a couple of nice meals. Especially the Goat Pizza with chicken on top was great. The waitress was a really good one. Overall completely recommandable.

Dinner for one

By GM1Ret |

Very friendly service. Great food. If my family would have been with me I know my little ones would have loved the pizza and the view of all the yachts in the bay right out the window.

Lunch overlooking the marina

By toester51 |

Pizza Nova was across our hotel and we wanted some comfort food and a short walk. This establishment fit the bill. Arrived at the location and we were greeted in a friendly manner. We asked for a window table and the hostess obliged pleasantly. Our server Tina was very friendly and maintained contact with us throughout our meal. We had a Caesar salad which came with freshly shaved parmesan. The salad was fantastic. Our iced tea was delicious and we received plenty of lemon wedges and refills. The hot rolls were warm and delicious. We ordered a pizza with mushrooms and sausage. The pizza is cooked on a wood fired oven. Pizza ingredie ts were delicious and fresh. Two kind of cheeses are used and they are tasty. The sausage has fennel and appreciated as fennel is becoming an ingredient not too common any more. Overall we were very impressed and happy. Thank you to all for a wonderful Lunch!
