Me and my sister love to go there , we go there often , sometimes we go with friends ! It’s the perfect pizzeria , has a cozy ambiance , very friendly servers ! We don’t go there f just for the delicious pizza , they have the best cheesesteaks in Philly with homemade bread ! It’s more than a pizzeria their menu is quite large ! You won’t be disappointed , we keep on going back !

Great location on Broad Street with a very informal setting with a limited full service menu from pizza to pasta. Make a stop you won't regret it.

Pizzeria Pesto is a great place for a casual meal. The food is top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable. Great pizzas, soups and salads served in a casual atmosphere. Pizzeria Pesto uses high-quality cheeses and garnishes on all their pizzas. It is also a byob.

Great food. homade pizza sauce. Delicious. Waitress is friendly. But rushed all the time., never had a bad meal here. I have been going here for years. Parking is always available I this section of town. Also really really clean.

Winning pizza, Great prices and good service...Just the right spot when heading towards a concert or game and you want something that satisfies everyone.

I highly recommend Pizzeria Pesto! Excellent pizza, love their salads and other appetizers! The chef is from Italy and the food is fresh and delicious. Great service! Nice atmosphere!!

I love Pestos! Concetta made sure my party of 22 stayed comfy and well fed. Even off menu the bill was amazing. My waitress Rita and Vinnie where superb! Lots of love! The Days

I frequently eat at this restaurant, but there are 2 things I come back for weekly. The pizza and the cheesesteaks. High quality ingredients and the oven in addition to the skilled hands of, Claudio, the owner of Pizzeria Pesto, make his pizzas one of the best and most consistent pizzas you'll experience. Whether you stop in and get a slice or get a whole pie, you'll know you're getting quality and you'll be back. Ever been to Philly and ask, or heard someone ask, "Where's the best cheesesteak?' I've got the answer. Pizzeria Pesto, right here. Okay here is why you have to give it a try and you'll see, you'll be back like the Terminator. Quality ingredients and skilled staff combine to make this treasure. First, the rolls are made on premises. what? that's right. they make their own bread. Next comes the all important MtB "meat to bun ratio" (meat/bun). Pizzeria Pesto has the best meat to bun ratio in the city. Now if you never had a cheesesteak (that's what we call them in Philly. they are not "Philly cheesesteaks" because we already know we're in Philly so we don't need the identifier.) I would recommend getting American cheese on your cheesesteak. It melts the best and makes a good combined flavor. I'm a fried onion guy so absolutely "wit", meaning with fried onions. The rest of the menu is good also, but what I come back for every week are the pizzas and cheesesteaks. Make sure you try the Margherita pizza. Enjoy the experience. If you're visiting Philadelphia, enjoy your stay.

We went to Pesto for a Birthday Dinner with family. The food was amazing and the staff were courteous. I had the Gnocchi with a blush sauce which were homemade and their amazing salad with pears which was the best that I ever tasted. Every one of us were delighted with our entrees. I definitely recommend this restaurant. Suzanne P.

Wow what a great find.. my wife and I where in S Philly visiting friends (ok the truth is my buddy picked up a bottle of Buffalo Trace for me and I used going to dinner in S Philly as an excuse).. on the way home we stopped by on his recommendation.. everything was great... next time we are trying their restaurant (guess I will have to buy another bottle of Buffalo Trace to make the trip)

Excellent food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, fantastic service. The Rosetta pizza was out of this world, by far the best pizza I ever had, would recommend everyone to try this, and the Chicken Veggie sandwich was absolutely amazing, I asked where they got the rolls from, and was told they bake them right on the premises (wanted to buy a dozen before we left). Definitely try this place if your in the area.

Pretty standard low end Italian. Pizza up front and a dozen tables in back. Had chicken parm: portion was big and it was cheesy (stuffed actually) but pasta was very mushy. Service was super inconsistent and be careful if you get the menu upfront the prices are different than the same menu in back!! Cmon!

My wife and I are usually here at least once a fortnight. Good food. Good service. BYOB. Get a pizza and some pasta.

This is a great location situated in one of the best restaurant spots in Philadelphia. You can get some fantastic pizza and we’ll as other Italian dishes and sandwiches . Love the grandmas square pizza! You won’t be disappointed.

We were in a hurry to grab some dinner prior to attending a concert. They were friendly, prompt, and helpful, and the food was great.

Right next to Pesto Restaurant and seems to share the very tasty red sauce/gravy. They can make almost any combination of Pizza and also have very good Cheese steaks. Best for lunch, although parking is a bit of an issue, but public lot is behind hospital medial center across the street. Well worth the trouble to park. Prices are very reasonable

Meal was great, service great, felt like I was at somebody's house instead of a restaurant. Very good prices and more than enough food for the money.

Searched for top restaurants in Philly and found Pesto. Great family atmosphere with welcoming staff eager to make your visit memorable. Food excellent with extra attention for our first dining experience. Left totally satisfied.

Love the pizza, sandwiches and pasta here. Affordable, too. Good option for those days when I want to have a quick bite. And they deliver!

Pizzeria Pesto is my go to pizzeria in south Philly. Not many good Italian Pizzeria around, this place not only makes pizza they also make their own delicious bread (rolls) . If you like fried calamari try theirs one of the best. In my opinion it is one of the best places to eat in the city

Great pizza, tasteful! Service was really good as well, the tiramissu was amazing and the price was really fair! Recomended!

Really? Christmas weekend, Friday night dealing with traffic trying to get home, Ordered what used to be a good Pizza,.......not any more! I have been going there since they opened, recently going down hill, tonight the straw that broke the camels back. All the Mexicans there are ruining this guys business. Waited and hour plus for a pizza that was half cooked and cost $18.55, really! Little Caesars $5.00 hot and ready would have been better. Save your taste buds and stay away. Giant disappointment! last time for me!

Melts in your mouth you'll want to eat everyday! fast delivery awesome pickup counter service ! A most try!

This is a very nice Italian restaurant located in an area with many rip-off restaurants. The food us authentic non-ostentatious good Italian eats.. the upside-down pizza is excellent. The limoncella cake is a real treat. Service very nice. Comfortable atmosphere.

We just ordered two pies for delivery which as usual we amazing. Always so satisfied with the food, service and amazing staff. Some of the nicest most accommodating people you will deal with in an AUTHENTIC ITALIAN PIZZERIA!!! 10 stars if I could!!!

So good. We stopped in for a quick bite before going to the Phillies game. The wait staff were super friendly and recommend a few things on the menu. We ordered a regular pizza which was cooked perfectly. We brought a bottle of wine with us so they were happy to open without having to pay a cork fee (as some places do charge a cork fee).

Good pizza at a good price!! You won't be disappointed. There is no parking lot, but parking on the street.

with all the pizza places in the city I hit this is one of my top 10 & the bread (rolls) for sandwiches is to die for ..made on premises! Love the Parma sandwich as well as steaks.. & for an awesome top notch meal next door is the original sit down w/bottle vino occasion out meal

We were with a large group & had a private room which was great. We started with many delicious appetizers - Peperoni Arrostiti con la Mozzarella, Calamari Fritti, Bruschetta, & Grigliata Vegetale. For my meal I started with a spring mix salad, served with poached pears, gorgonzola cheese, & walnuts - all yummy things but way too much dressing poured over the top - it pretty much drowned out all of the delicate flavors. I ordered a cavatelli / seafood dish, with shrimp, lobster meat, & crabmeat - there was fair amount of seafood but too much pasta. My husband ordered a veal & mushroom dish which he really liked.

Great food, wonderful hostess! We were seated immediately and while drinks were being brought, our hostess came to the table, introduced herself and suggested some menu options for our first visit. Our table had a sample of several appetizers and several main courses and everything was well-prepared and very good. Pasta, veal, seafood all were excellent. Too many good hot dishes on the menu to order pizza this time! We ordered an amazing dessert to split among the four of us - a lemon cheesecake and it was so light and airy! We were so busy talking that we didn't realize the restaurant had closed and we were the last group there. No one rushed us - not the staff, not the Owners! It felt like you were eating in someone's home! Place is rocking! So it's loud and busy, but that's a good thing! Well done Pesto! We'll be back!

Went because a friend occasionally gets takeout pizza from here. Now we know why they get takeout. The NOISE! To start, they bring complementary dish of potatoes with pesto????? and warm garlic knots. (don't understand the potatoes..........) The garlic knots were ok. Got a salad (spring mix with roasted red peppers, 5 thin slices of fresh mozzarella drowned in balsamaic vineger. Average, TOO MUCH dressing. Our pizza was OK, but skimpy on the toppings. It was a 12" pie, but there were 2" of crust all around before the scant toppings started. (We left hungry.....) The decor is nice and our service was fine. There place was only about 1/4 full, but the noise level was LOUD. We could barely understand the people across the table from us. There was a group with screaming kids, that didn't help either........ If the place was full, it would be impossible to hear any conversation. We cut out dinner short, just to get away from the echoing din of this place. You guessed it, we won't be back.

The service here is awesome, and the food is fresh! The pizza crust and sauce is absolutely delicious! Pizzeria Pesto is worth going out of your way to experience! If you are local, then it is a must! CD

We have come here for pizza and gotten it for take-out and it never disappoints. They know pizza!!! We will return.
Old fashion goodness and service
I have been here a few times with friends and never disappointed. The food is ALWAYS delicious and not just the pizza! And the service is always attentive, friendly and very professional. A sure go to place for a delicious meal with friends and family.
