There are several of these in Portland, but the one in Sellman was great. Fresh pear and walnut salad and a very good garlic, pesto and spinach pizza. A long list of pizzas by slice or whole. All fresh ingredients and nice to sit outside to enjoy it. Just down the street from two antique stores.

You might wonder why I'd drive 13 miles for pizza when I have a place only a couple miles from home. Pizzacato Pizza isn't just any pizza, it truly is gourmet. Yes, it's on the spendy side, but so worth it! Sauce and crust is like no other. A little bite/spicy in the sauce, and the toppings are great. The crust is thin but just right. The place is always busy, inside seating as well as take-out. Allow at least 40 minutes from the time you order or call. The wait staff is always gracious and attentive. We've eaten both in the restaurant, and had take out. There's nothing I dislike about this restaurant. It's all good!

I really am sold on their Puttenesca pizza as well as their garlicy ceasar & spinach and mista salads. I am not a big pizza fan yet I will eat theirs and it is not greasy!

Have ordered takeaway from this place a number of times. Always late--at least by 15 minutes each time. It would be worth the wait if the pizza was any good. The major problem is the crust; I'm not sure that management understands what real pizza crust is. This crust tastes very "cakey," almost too sweet. And, the Italian sausage rolls off each slice in little balls like you'd find on frozen pizza.

I was in Portland visiting friends and Pizzicato was nearby. We stopped in for dinner and were quickly greeted. The service was fast and friendly. There are several options including gluten free for those that want it. The pizza was tasty and not too expensive.

This is a gem to have in the neighborhood. There are more of them around town but we felt lucky to have one so close. You can always count on the quality and the folks working there are some of the best. Get a pizza card and your 13th is free (we got many free pizzas, that's how good it is)

Good flatbread pizza, crisply and flavorful. I chose mine because they dispensed with the cute names and called it "meat"--and it was (pepperoni, Canadian Bacon, pineapple). Decent size slices, enough to fill the average non-teenager. These days, many restaurants like to give you enough to feed a village in Ecuador, so it's nice to find a place with reasonable portions. Kind of an industrial vibe inside, but a few outside tables if you're lucky enough to score one.

I go to Pizzicato at least once a month and I love it there. They will add whatever you want, with a smile, and are generous with my Coke refills. I think what I like the best about this restaurant that it's a quick in and out, if that's what you want. Otherwise, feel free to bring your laptop, sit inside or out, while enjoying your mouthwatering pizza. Oh, and if you're sitting outside, on a clear day, look for a glorious view of Mt. Hood. It's all good!!

We used to hit Pizzicato Hillsdale, but recently moved to Milwaukie and despite the fact we've got three closer pizza places it's worth the 18 minute r/t drive to Pizzicato on Bybee. It's not wood-fired, but it's very good pizza with creative toppings (especially sauces) and a friendly staff who seem to genuinely like what they're doing. Don't forget their salads which are consistently bright and fresh. Yes they're on the expensive side, but I feel you get what you pay for.

I called Pizzicato at 6:20 PM, ordered my pizza and was told it was an hour and a half wait. I said, "No problem. We're just watching a movie." When the delivery person showed up only an hour later, I happily signed the credit card bill, gave a cash tip, and said "Thank you." About three minutes later, the delivery person returned and said, "I think you gave me too much." He had returned because I had given him a $23 tip instead of a $4 tip, confusing my bills. What a great person. I never would have known as I had just pulled out 4 bills from my wallet, thinking they were all one dollar bills. That is great service. We usually go to Pizzicato, but this time we were at home and the delivery service was phenomenal. I highly recommend their service to anyone who wants quality pizza and salads in the Portland area. The food is great and their delivery personnel are the best.

Just tried it out. Very busy Saturday night yet customer service was still great and the food excellent. Waited about 10 minutes for a table for 4 (2 adults/2 kids). Waitress was attentive, friendly and fast without making us feel hustled along. Lots of locals coming in for take-take out orders. Each staff member who passed us acknowledged us. We ordered a small cheese pizza for the kids - which they loved and they are tough to please pizza eaters. Cheesy with thin and chewy crust. Sauce tasted fresh made. They didn't skimp on the cheese either. Also ordered a 1/2 chicken apple sausage pizza (seasonal special) which was unique and a nice switch from the run of the mill "gourmet" types. Other half was the wild mushroom which was heavenly. Whole roasted garlic cloves, fresh yellow peppers, wild mushrooms (sautéed perfectly), cheese (Fontina I think), sautéed leeks, all atop a perfect crust. Atmosphere is casual but not too fast feeling. Nice wine and beer list as well, short but covers the bases well. Lots if great looking sandwiches and paninis that demand a return lunch visit as well as a host of other excellent sounding pizzas too. This will be the place for us for pizza. Loved it. I think they offer delivery too.
Puttanesca Take Out
While visiting family, we dropped into PGP and put an order in for Puttanesca pizza and were told to come back in 20 minutes. We went out and took a walk on a beautiful Portland afternoon around the block. Mid-80's; low humidity; mild breeze_a great day. We came back and were told to have a seat, it would be another 7 minutes. 15 minutes later the pizza was ready. We carried it home and enjoyed the slices immensely. My only negative is I am not sure they put the pizza in when we ordered it. But it was really good and the wait on their seats was quiet pleasant. We will go back. PGP is a friendly neighborhood business.
