Pizzicotto is fairly small so the noise level is a bit high and tables are close together, but the food is delicious and the staff actually speak Italian! Sort of a "mom & pop" Italian place - there were 4 of us and we all really enjoyed our entrees. Highly recommend the whitefish with horseradish/pistachio crust!

In a whirlwind weekend in Los Angeles, we sat at Getty Center using Trip Advisor on our iPad to research a dinner location. There are over 2600 Los Angeles restaurants on Trip Advisor, but we quickly settled on #44, Pizzicotto, based on its reviews and convenient location near Getty and on our way to LAX. Make reservations! This is a tiny neighborhood place. We drove right past it, parked, and nearly walked right past it. Attentive service. Great bread. Salad was large enough to share. I had a ravioli special that was fabulous...filled with many flavors, including short ribs, mushrooms, green beans, and corn. Sorry but no room for dessert. If we ever get back to LA and are in the Brentwood area, we will undoubtedly return. The reviews on Trip Advisor have never steered us wrong on our travels, and this was no exception.

Really great!

First of all we like this restaurant because the noise level is tolerable even when full. Secondly we are delighted that one of the two owners (sisters Luciana and Isabella) is always on site and go out of their way to insure customer satisfaction. Thirdly, the food and service are very good. Four of us enjoyed our most recent dine. We are light eaters so the price was very reasonable.....$54 per couple including tip. The bread to start the meal is the best!!!! Great taste with a heated crisp crus/sour dough. We ordered one cauliflower soup (fair), one Caesar Salad (fair), one vegetarian pizza (very good), one pasta with sausage and one with calamari.....very good, hot and just the right texture in the pasta. I had a small bottle of Prossecco, one person ordered a beer, plus one soft drink. Marco, our waiter for that evening was great as always. When he talks his accent tells you that we are not far from Italy! The restaurant is casual (upstairs and downstairs), but pleasant. Try it....don't think you will be disappointed.

There are many Italian restaurants in the Brentwood area, but this tiny, welcoming place stands out with authentic Italian flavors, a welcoming owner, and a very pleasing menu. In addition to the usual pastas and outstanding pizza, there are many salads to choose from, delicious bread served with the best olive oil with herbs and garlic, and lovely wines. I love the warm pasta salad, the caprese, the pumpkin ravioli, and...well...everything I've ever had there. Tiny, intimate and truly Italian. It's been a neighborhood favorite for at least 25 years.

This is a small place with extra table on the second floor. We asked to sit down stairs and they were able to move us within 10 minutes. The food is terrific and the portions generous. We shared a rustic salad and chicken parm and there was plenty for each of us. Our friends had veal ravioli and tuna with mussels. Everyone was very happy with their meal. The wine list was small but very good and the chianti by the glass was also very good. The only disappointment was the rizotto which was a little bland. Service was exception. Parking is fairly easy in the lot next door. Finally they were still bringing people in as we left at 9:30, a god sign.

We were referred to this restaurant by our motel manager during our trip to the Rose Bowl. It is a small Italian restaurant frequented by locals as well as tourists. We had an excellent dinner the day we arrived. In fact, we were so impressed that we returned on New Years eve for dinner again. The food is truly Italian cooking and all of the staff is very friendly. The prices were very modest for any city and especially so considering that this was Los Angeles.

This is a small restaurant, frequented by neighborhood residents in Brentwood who appreciate good food, good service and reasonable prices. It is barely noticeable unless you know it's there, but it is well worth the time to look for and find it. The food is quintessentially Italian, the wine list is good, and I have never had a bad meal there. It is really small, so reservations are recommended. All the surrounding eating places in its block (11700 block of San Vicente) are now empty, but Pizzicotto remins - we hope for a very long time!

Very good, authentic Italian in Brentwood. I love their pizza with Arugula< Prociutto Crudo and shaved Parmiggiano. They also have great salads and the pasta looks amazing too.

I love this place. Been going for many years. Authentic, excellent food. Highly recommended. Worth the wait, if there is one.

I will only be telling you something new if you've never eaten at Pizzicotto before now. My wife and I have eaten there numerous times together and with friends. It is always a wonderful dining experience. Our group always consumes a variety of items and the outcome is always the same--excellent. The service always matches the food and wine, and they will try to do what you ask to meet your dining requests. The wine menu is quite good and they also offer half-bottles (hmmm, 1/2 bottle---can't imagine stopping with one glass, but sometimes it works!!). I can confidently assume that anyone who eats there with any frequency will share the same sentiment with you. Buon appetito!

Found this by chance but what a find! Service was prompt and friendly with reasonable prices. It’s an authentic Italian restaurant from the decor to the accents and the taste. We had seafood fra divolo and the lobster ravioli with shrimp. Both were served hot and the flavor was amazing.

Among all the Italian choices on San Vincente, Pizzicotto stands out for its consistently good food, warm neighborhood atmosphere, and value. Try the lobster ravioli.

This restaurant is ALL Italian! And fortunately for me they are offering more and more of there food, with out gluten! Including homemade ravioli, gf pasta and pizza. As well as much of the regular menu. One of my favorite Italian places in the city.

One of the few places in Los Angeles where you can feel like eating at friend's place... Very relax, casual, friendly with good food

My husband and I had the caprese salad with fresh mozzarella, the seafood risotto on the specials which included seafood meatballs that were amazing! For dessert, we had the hazelnut ice cream and a cappuccino! The servings were large enough that we split the salad, entree and dessert and were stuffed! Wonderful local place!

Me and my GF decided to give this place a try and we were very happy of our experience here. Food was good and I was so happy to find some real Italian dishes cooked in a properly way. You could move this restaurant in Italy and would be packed in the same way it is here in LA. The lady who own this place is the real owner ..... always ready to take care of the clients and I noted also that she is very nice also with her staff , which is also something I personally like . Worth the visit and strongly recommended to all those who know what real Italian food is about.

I have been dining at Pizzicotto for over 10 years and the restaurant deserves high accolades for attentive service, delicious authentic Italian food, and reasonable prices, particularly given its location in the Brentwood neighborhood. I highly recommend the Fregola appetizer (clams and pasta) and seafood capellini. The daily fish specials are also consistently great. Finally, don't miss out on their desserts, specifically the profiteroles and tiramisu.

Great italian food. The owner and staff are super friendly

We tried to book a few of the well known italian restaurants in LA via online systems but couldn't get a time that suited us so - took a recommendation from our hotel (Brentwood Inn) and went to this little local italian restaurant on our first night in LA. They gave us good food, tasty wine and speedy, unfussy service. What more can you want....

Found this restaurant by accident, having driven down Sunset Boulevard looking for somewhere to eat after a day at universal studios. Great authentic Italian food, a warm welcome and reasonably priced. Small cosy restaurants lucky we got a table.

Great Italian

This hit on all cylinders. The atmosphere reminded us of New York; small, friendly staff and lots of charm. The food was fantastic, and the menu quite extensive. We were particularly taken by the wine choices: several bottles from small villages in the Chianty region of Tuscany that we had visited. I look foward to going again

I pass by this cute little place almost daily going to and from a run. Everytime I pass by, the smells drive me crazy and my mouth starts to water. My husband and I finally decided to check out more of our neighborhood restaurants one night, so we went! Anyways, I liked the staff, especially the cute hostess with the harry potter glass frames. My husband is not a fan of small restaurants and tight spaces, so he didn't enjoy Pizzicotto as much as I did. If I were to do it again, I'd make reservations and ask for the table for two by the window, and I would make sure not to be late. The place is busy, simple as that. As for the food, I loved it. The bread was delicious, but I made sure not to eat too much so I can enjoy the entree. What I did instead was get full off of the delicious melon & prosciutto appetizer. I ordered the tri-colored spaghetti and the husband ordered a pizza. We were both pleased with the meal and service. Our waitress did the best she could given how busy it was. So no complaints there!

I go here with my husband every so often and love the atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the Brentwood location is really convenient for us. I always get the caesar salad (there's a plain caesar and one with chicken), and often get fish as well. The food is very fresh and delicious!

What a nice restaurant that took us immediately to the best in Europe. Food is really wonderful as the staff. Highly recommend.

Great service received, food was amazing. The decor inside is really nice and authentic, we loved everything about this place. Price was reasonable and portion sizes good. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Great menu and solid selection of reasonably priced wines. You get the feeling it's a family-run operation, though I'm not positive this is the case (just see the same people over the course of several years working here). Highly recommend the priest stranglers pasta dish (spicy sausage and short cut pasta in a delicious sauce). This place is always busy.

This tiny restaurant on San Vicente, Brentwood was a wonderful surprise In LA. We were looking for a genuine italian restaurant neaby our hotel in Brentwood and the concierge suggested Pizzicotto. We were lucky cause the place is small and the lines are always there on weekends. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. We really had a great there and I highly reccomend it to those who love italian food.

7:45 reservations and restaurant is crowded. 7:55 ask busser to find the hostess 8:00 hostess/owner finally comes to the front---because she had take-out for a customer. Drink and food order taken quickly. Never asked how our food was (it was quite good). 9:30 Asked busser to find our food server and get our check (its not large--don't know where he went) Room has ambiance but tables are really--really close together. Room is loud--really loud. I might go back for the good food but service really sucked!

Love it. Cute little place, great food.

This place is soooo good! It's small, but just exceptional food. Pizza crust was the only thing that was not my style. Overly thin for my taste. But even that was great because of the quality toppings. Red sauce, hand made papardelle, desserts, coffee, soup, bread, oils, every single bite perfect! I'm grateful we found this place in LA , and will highly recommend it!

We have had great dinners here in the last 20 visits. They have a fabulous array of homemade pastas. Especially the pillow gnocchi with Bolognese sauce. I have the off menu chicken parmesan. Delicious. Also a chicken Milanese with arugula on top is excellent. When they have the Cioppino order it is amazing. Their daily specials are worth special consideration. Sit downstairs if you can, it has a lovely atmosphere.

First time eating at Pizzicotto-we went without a reservation and had to sit at a table in a narrow, high traffic area, but it was okay; next time we will make a reservation. We ordered the Ravioli D'aragosta (lobster ravioli) and the Pollo e Ruchetta (Linguine with chicken). I LOVED the lobster ravioli- the sauce was to die for! My boyfriend thought the Pollo e Ruchetta was just okay- nothing to write home about. We took tiramisu to go- it was pretty good, very moist but was too light on the espresso- I mostly just tasted the marscapone. I would go back for another intimate dinner.

Great pasta, and it feels like a NY pasta joint transplanted in LA.

Pizzicotto is our favorite neighborhood restaurant, where we eat frequently and bring visitors often! It's a tiny little place, with an upstairs loft where we particularly like to sit. The smells as you enter are so enticing, and the restaurant looks like just what it is--a comfortable, inviting home away from home. The owners are very Italian and very friendly, and the wait staff is outstanding (especially Adam, who has waited on us for years and feels like a friend!). Everything we've eaten there has been great--fresh pastas, good salads, wonderful fish dishes, fine wine. My husband has some food allergies, and the staff has always been so willing to modify dishes to meet his needs--it's one of the few places we feel really comfortable going since he's been on this diet. We always look forward to going there, and we're always more than satisfied when we leave.

Pizzicotto is a good choice for solid Italian in Brentwood. The restaurant is not very big and is rather "cozy" with a Italian market kind of decor (dried chilies hanging from the ceiling, wine bottles and pasta on shelves...you get the idea). The service is friendly and prompt and the food is fresh and good. The Ravioli D'Aragosta is wonderful! and is stuffed with lobster and ricotta and served with rock shrimp, shallots, basil, and vodka pink sauce. The Pizza Al Funghi is also very good as well as the Vitello Pomodoro (veal scaloppine). The atmposhere, service, and food here is all very good and the prices are good as well..especially for Brentwood.

super reliable neighborhood Italian.

good for cheap eats. decent pasta options, new menu selections often

If you live in or nearby Brentwood and haven't tried lunch or dinner at Pizzicotto and you enjoy Italian food, you really owe it to yourself to put this little neighborhood restaurant on your upcoming treats list. The decor isn't fancy, but the ambience is genuine. The service is attentive and friendly, but, most important, the food is consistently delicious. The wine list is limited, but sufficient, and reasonably priced as is the food. On a recent visit, my wife enjoyed the spinach ravioli, while I ordered and loved my old faithful, the lobster ravioli. A shared caprese salad to start and a shared chocolate mousse cake to finish made for a delicious and delightful evening. A reasonably-priced bottle of Jarman Pinot Grigio added to the enjoyment. A little gem in the center of Brentwood Village, Pizzicotto will delight your tummy and your wallet. One more reason to give it a try, The management and staff couldn't be nicer!

Came here when our first choice was not available. Seated upstairs, which was less jovial atmosphere and quieter so we could talk. Two couples, we shared a bottle of wine and an appetizer platter, then one chicken, two pastas, and a fish dish. Service was slow, food was not memorable, and price was higher than the quality of food. All in all a very mediocre dining experience.

Authentic Italian in the heart of Brentwood. The homemade pasta is amazing and what a terrific value. Our waiter Marco is so warm and charming and helpful! You feel like you are in Italy but even better. My wife had the white fish that was moist and flakey and I had the pizza which is think crust and served piping hot with fantastic melted cheese. The homemade ravioli specials are so creative and perfectly seasoned. We love the arrugula salad and minestroni soup as well. The profiteroles for desert are incredible and the coffees and port at the meal's end just delightful. It can't get better than this in LA!

Had one of the better risotto dishes here, the staff puts a lot of love into their food, and the quality is great.

The food was really good. We had pasta, pizza, salad and dessert! It was all really good!If I lived in LA I would be a regular here!

After an enjoyable day at the Getty, we headed here for dinner. The restaurant was packed and reservations were a must. The hostess was wonderful and seated us at a small table upstairs. Despite the crowd, the waiter quickly introduced himself, water and bread appeared and wine was opened. The service was flawless throughout the meal. The food itself was delicious - perfectly prepared salmon on a bed of spinach, homemade gnocchi and a wonderful caeser salad. A great cappuccino and amazing berry tart completed a perfect dinner. The only negative was the noise - the small room upstairs has low ceilings and no sound-deadening - as a result, it was deafening at times and detracted from the otherwise romantic setting. My suggestion is to reserve a table outside on a nice evening or stay on the main floor near the front window. Overall, this place is a winner and we hope to be in the area again soon.

The moment you walk into Pizzicotto, you know you are in for an authentic Italian dining experience as the aromas of Italy surround you, the service is professional, warm, (Italian family style!) and whether you are with family or friends for lunch or dinner you will enjoy a fresh Italian cuisine AND you can order and pick up your meal. This is our family favorite including all of the grandchildren!

It gets 5 stars for being the best value in Italian food in Brentwood. It is always packed with good reason. Food is fantastic vino selection quality at reasonable prices....and it's a small space. Fresh seafood fresh pasta deserts flown in from Italy (try the mixed berry tart) make this a true neighborhood hang. The pizzas are thin crust and the dough is thrown in classic tradition. Look for the special list that changes daily no small feat! Isabella is one of the co-owners with her sister...look for the distinctive head wear as she works her magic of making everyone feel like family and special. Great service from Deeana Adam Steve...they feel more like friends. I have been going here for 10 years so actions speak volumes about pizza as the locals call it.

I had lunch here a few times during our stay in LA last fall. This is a small unpretentious restaurant with a genuine ambience and straightforward delicious Italian food. Not fancy but never disappointing. Service was great. Discrete, friendly and efficient, it gave that feeling that they really care for their customers without boasting about it. My wife and kids enjoyed it as much. I loved their beautiful handwritten menu.

Good food, average service. Childhood celebs get preference (i.e. Ian Ziering)

Great place for Italian food, reminds me of New York.

Nice "neighborhood" restaurant. We had pizza, which was excellent. Also the deserts were very good. The lower part is busy and a bit noisy, but the upper part was calmer. Would definitely go there again.

Reservations were made to celebrate my 65th birthday with my mother and sister. I am from out of town but my mother lives in Brentwood and eats at Pizzicotto on occasion. Although there were a few empty tables when we walked in the only table that was available to us was a table upstairs in a dark corner next to a refrigerator/freezer. We asked if we could move to a table with more light (did not have a reserved sign on it) and we were told it was reserved. Our server offered to buy me a glass of wine but told us there was nothing he could do. We walked out and went to another restaurant.

Could not fault Pizzicotto in terms of vibe, service, food or value. In our month long road trip across the USA, probably our favourite restaurant. A real pleasure to find such an authentic Italian eaterie, staffed by intelligent, articulate wait staff who took obvious pride in their work. My wife had the seafood risotto and informed them that it was better than any she had tasted in Italy. Appeared to be well frequented by locals, and we counted ourselves fortunate to be tourists who had discovered it by accident.

We had a wonderful evening at Pizzicotto, a quaint little place on San Vincete in Brentwood. The staff was fantastic and the food authentically italian and excellent. We started with excellent bread and a plate of memorable gnocchi. Our main courses included delicious cioppino, perfect risotto and great pizza. And, the wine was well priced! We will definitely go back.

It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I were in LA recently and our daughter recommended Pizzicotto. Great recommendation! We went there on 2 consecutive nights. Between 5 meals, we had 1 Caesar salad, 4 pastas,1 chicken dish, 1 bottle and 2 glasses of wine. Everything was delicious! Servers all appear to be from Naples, and they're all enthusiastic. Decor is very "small Italian cafe", with stacks of supplies by the rear entrance and restroom. 2 thumbs up!

Have been a customer for over 10 years, food never disappoints. Place very small but cozy. Love the arugula prosciutto pizza and the pappardelle. Reasonable prices and wine list.It is like eating in a tratoria in Rome.

Pizzicotto in Brentwood on San Vicente Blvd is another great Italian restaurant.Pizzicotto has excellent gnocchi. Try it!

Pizzicotto is a cozy Italian bistro in the heart of Brentwood, that offers authentic regional Italian dishes at reasonable prices. As soon as you enter the restaurant you receive a very warm Italian welcome that is followed-up by equally friendly service staff. The selection of dishes is extensive with many great choices. I liked this restaurant so much I had dinner there on two consecutive nights. The first night I had Ravioloni Di Spinaci---large spinach ravioli with roasted garlic, arugula, basil, tomatoes and grated Pecorino cheese. The following night I ordered a thin crusted veggie pizza, both were well-prepared and very tasty. Leave room for desert, the Cioccolato Cake, Italian bitter-sweet chocolate mouse cake is delicious.

My wife and I were in California for our Second Honeymoon. One Friday afternoon, while driving around looking for a place called Ditty Rees (Spelling?), an icecream sandwich shop in LA, we got lost, needed some food, and found this street where Pizzicottos was. We walked by, saw their menu in the window, and decided it was worth a shot. The food was Outstanding! Probably the best Italian food I've had in years. I had a cheese stuffed Gnocci, which had a blue cheese type stuffing, and was delicious. My wife had a pumpkin/cheese stuffed raviolli. Again, very good! I would highly recommend this place. What a great last full meal in our week long callifornia trip from San Fran to LA. FlynHokie WIlliamsburg, VA

Every neighborhood should have one, maybe that's why Fabrizio decided to do his Italian job somewhere else. Great salads, outstanding vinaigrette dressing, for pasta don't miss the pumpkin tortellini and the spinach ravioli. Always great specials. Just love it!

This is a cute neighborhood place. Downstairs seating has good atmosphere. Upstairs isn't as nice. (They first tried to seat us upstairs and we asked after seeing it to be seated downstairs.) This place had $$ on its yelp rating. (Other Italian places in Brentwood were $$$.) This is why we chose it. It still seemed a bit expensive. Pasta dishes were $15 and $16. A basic salad was $9. Add a glass of wine at $8 or $9....you get my drift. For such a casual place it was a bit expensive. The quality of the food was good. The wait staff was very nice. A nice choice if you're looking for a Brentwood eatery.

Pizzicotto is an incredible italian restaurant that totally feels like home. The food is really special, as well as the hospitality of the staff. It is a unique place for a romantic or family dinner or brunch. The dessert menu is delicious. Authentic tiramisu is a must. Prices are really reasonable.

A belated review but 2014 has been busy !!!!! We went to Pizzicotto for New Years Eve 2013 into 2014. The restaurant is a small restaurant with a great friendly atmosphere. The service was excellent. The food was of a high standard. Will return :)

My wife and I eat here frequently when I pick her up from the airport. It's the perfect place to enjoy a great meal. We always share a salad; our favorite is the arugula with shaved parmesan. We've tried various regular entrees and specials. Everything is fresh and delicious. On Thursday, my wife had the lasagna, which was loaded with fresh vegetables. I had the pumpkin tortelloni. We shared a sumptuous fresh berry tart for dessert. When we praised the dessert, the owner announced, "I will tell my sister. She made it today." The proof was in the taste! Don't forget to complement your meal with a great wine. We like the Speri or the Amarone.

Wonderful little place that looks like an Italian retail store from the outside. We passed it many times, but never thought to eat here until a cousin recommended it. The four of us were seated promptly, offered bread and tapenade immediately and the waitress returned numerous times until we were ready to order and maintained her pleasant demeanor the whole time. I had mushroom ravioli which was amazing, my husband had the white fish special, and there was pizza on the table, too. Everything was flavorful, hot, light and delicious.

For my buck, Pizzicotto is more authentic Italian than say Palmeri along with being less pricy. The surrounds are more Italian, the service and menu likewise. This is a good Italian place if you're in the mood and in the neighborhood.

Yes we like this restaurant. They even upgraded their bread recently so that they now serve an excellent sour dough as opposed to the doughy, tasteless bread they previously had. Tonight we had a delicious Arrabbiata, Chicken Milanese, White Fish and Large Salad with Grilled Chicken. All four of us were pleased with our selections. The waiter was pleasant and tried to please. Soups are very good.....salads fair. The two owners (sisters) go out of their way to ensure that guests are satisfied. For a casual dinner, this restaurant offers one of the best values in the City for our $.

Best restaurant in Brentwood. Always good. Love it.

Real Italian place. Small place, not so many tables (reservation is recommended). Service is fast. Bread, fresh from oven, and olive oil with garlic and spices arrive almost when you arrive. You may just eat those and perfectly satisfied, but not so fast. That is only the overture and you have to sit for the full show. Choose any soup to start, but do not order soup if you want to leave some space for desert. Pizza (thin crust with real tomatoes as in Italy), salmon (with spinach as in Italy), chicken, and veal were all delicious with a lot of vegetables (we tried different meals at different times, and also shared to taste). If you have room, have tiramisu with espresso and you will be in heaven.

When you walk in off the street, you feel like you are in an Italian tavern complete with small bathroom in the very back past the kitchen. The service is top notch and the food is authentic, delicious, and served with a smile. The bread with olive oil and garlic dip is addicting. AND the prices are reasonable. have fun

We have been visiting Pizzicotto for quite a few years and everytime we know we're going to be back. It has a friendly atmosphere and they make you feel at home. The food is authentic, the pastas and the sauces are delicious. It is like being in Italy. Save room for dessert and the coffee is excellent

Vegetarian, seafood or meat eaters will be happy here. Decent wine list. Food very skillfully prepared--loved all the herbs and flavors used. Not just garlic like some italian places use. Atmosphere was a lot like Italy--crowded with tables close together, and some loud guests who probably had indulged in a fair amount of wine!

While visiting family we stopped in here one p.m. I had the most amazing salad for an entrée and it was truly amazing. The people are warm and friendly and welcoming. My husband also enjoyed his pasta said it was very good. I would highly recommend. The vibe is great. Out of all the places we ate during the week this was our favorite place. Considering the area I found the prices a fair price as well.

We visited our daughter at UCLA & found this wonderful restaurant through Tripadvisor. It's small & has a warm, inviting atmosphere. The waitstaff is very friendly. The food was delicious! The three of us shared risotto with mushrooms, pizza with prosciutto, and a side of sautéed kale. For dessert we had the panna cotto of the day & an assortment of gelato, yum. We plan to return!

Never expected as I hoped to get at least some average italian style pizza but thanks to the staff we got a great experience and meal with italian influence of herbs etc (pizza by the way is not even on the menu). Price/ quality was good for the food we had, and service we got from our (italian) waiter

In the heart of Brentwood on San Vicente is a great little 2-story restaurant called Pizzicotto, which dustin hoffman made famous one night on Leno. The food and service are great!

Started off with a Caesar salad. Asked if there were anchovies, was told they could be added. Added they were, quite generously, but they never said they would tack on a charge on the bill. Then had the mushroom pizza. The mushrooms were varied and sauteed, the sauce was very good and the mozzarella was quite tasty. But, the crust was a DISASTER. It was thin but pretty awful, not better than supemarket frozen pizza crust. In fact, it was much worse than buying ready made pizza dough at the supermarket. Lots of wine by the glass choices as well as full and half bottles, so that was a plus as well. Wait staff was very pleasant and attentive. But, it was not worth driving half an hour to get there. One more thing, it's not easy to find a parking spot close to the place.

I came here for lunch with a friend and enjoyed the panini with prosciutto & mozzarella. Instead if getting the full size I had half a sandwich, which was very filling, with ravioli and pesto soup. The soup was disappointing as it tasted like warm water with a touch of pesto. My friend had the gnocchi bolognese, which was good, but slightly overlooked. I prefer al dente, but it was still tasty. The service was very pleasant and attentive. I'll definitely return to experience the dinner! Very cute establishment.

We always enjoy Pizzicotto......You start with a warm greeting from Isabella, one of the two sisters who own the restaurant. They've changed their bread and it is much improved for our tastes.....a nice sour dough. All of their pastas are good as is their white fish, chicken alle frasche which is similar to a Milanaise (delicious on our last visit) on which we don't have the arrugola as this makes the cutlet soggy.....get the salad on the side. We usually request steamed broccoli. The waiter we had on our last visit (think his name was Marco....from Naples) was exceptional......went out of his way to assure our comfort. We always leave feeling as though we had just been to a small trattoria in Italy......prices are in line and we save the airfare!!!!

Love Pizzicotto. Brentwood favorite: their daily specials are excellent, great wine list, and the pizza is traditional italian. The priest strangler pasta is to die for! Seating is tight but upstairs is a great option.

The only italian restaurant I keep going back to ...

The minute you walk in you know you are welcome with the warm greetings of either Isabella or Luciana, co-owners. The servers are the best going out of their way to assure your individual needs are met. Ok, so the bread isn't great (to our taste), but most other dishes are excellent....especially their soups, pizza, chicken milanaise, lasagne, and white fish. The vibes are good with plenty of action any night of the week and the cozy atmosphere makes it truly a wonderful experience without a major noise problem. A favorite haunt of ours....we try to go at least once a month and usually double that goal!

Five of us met at Pizzicotto for dinner, three frequent diners at Pizzicotto and two from out of town. The food was excellent and our table was sufficiently compact so that we had no trouble taking to one another. However, when the waiter delivered only four rather than five entrees, he didn't notice that one entree was missing. He failed to check if everything was OK and we had to flag him down to inquire about the missing entree. It was finally delivered after the rest of us had almost finished our dinners. That shouldn't happen.

Excellent food Perfect ambience Great service Well priced Lovely selection of dishes and staff accomodating to slight alterations. Underrated!

The pizza was nice and delicious. The bread and dipping oil was really good too. The place is tiny and so a little tight. But really good.

Along Brentwood's strip, this unassuming place packs a punch of Italy. The people that run the place and work there are truly Italian, lending a charm to the whole experience. The wine list has a terrific selection to please any palate, and the menu is extensive. Our little gang enjoyed well-prepared, nicely-presented meals that were freshly created just for us. My teenage daughter summed it up by commenting on how nice it all was, and my teenage son loved his food, too! This is a great spot for anyone, with an atmosphere created by the people that are looking after you. Perfect.

A neighborhood gem. Simple italian food made with fresh ingredients and lots of care. Try it, you'll like it.
Scrumptious food without breaking the bank
Today will be my third lunch visit this week to this newly discovered little gem in Brentwood. I had pizza carciofa the first time - thin, crispy crust that was perfectly cooked and so tasty. Second time, I had the chicken piccata - paillard of organic chicken with capers, sun dried tomatoes and a lemon sauce that was divine. Fresh steamed veggies accompanied it, but you can also get pasta. I will probably go for a repeat of the chicken today. The bread is a bit tasteless, and so is the oil w/garlic, but that's easily overlooked when the rest of it is so great. Went late afternoon during the week, so it wasn't crowded and parking was easy. Not sure what a Saturday will be like, but I'm wiling to find out :)
