Fresh, tasty food. Great buzz and vibe about the place. Staff friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and helpful. While we had some issues with slow service the staff ensured a positive resolution.

Brilliant and imaginative plant forward, Asian inspired dining. Exquisite presentation and soooo delicious. Loved the dragon roll and mushroom hand roll. Nice wine selection. Terrific staff.

This was our second visit to Planta Queen in Chicago. Our first visit was quite poor due primarily to service. The manager offered us a gift card to come back, and I am so pleased we did ! Innovative vegetarian cuisine with a strong nod to Japan. The Firecracker Roll is amazing; super crispy with nice spice level. We had fresh rolls as well that were very tasty. A crispy mushroom dish arrived as well (we didn’t order it) but chowed it down gleefully. Thank you for a great time, great food, and most of all for changing our mind from our first experience. We will be back !

What a pleasure to go to the restaurant without wondering what you gonna eat because you can eat everything, as a vegetarian. I went with my best friend and her daughter, who are both not vegetarian and we all loved it. We tried 3 different dishes, with different tastes, and everything was delicious, super tasty, and well presented.

So glad Planta Queen has come to Chicago. We ate here twice after it opened and loved their Asian inspired vegan menu. We went on Sunday and got to taste their brunch menu as well as the regular menu. The restaurant is lovely inside with beautiful Asian themed decor. The bar, as you enter, is beautiful. The food is great, the staff is friendly and service is very good. Most people come here for their vegan sushi menu. We loved the french toast and the ube mochi waffles from the brunch menu. The pineapple fried rice was delicious with a subtle curry flavor. The peanut sauce on the bang bang broccoli was delicious. The food is brought out when its ready, so we kept ordering until we were full. We had to taste the Vietnamese coffee and chia pudding with mochi and it did not disappoint. If you love Asian food and are vegan, you will love this place.

Make a reservation or you won’t get a table! Of course, we had one and we’re seated very quickly. We sat in the back room - great vibe, great music - and not too loud. Our server was outstanding! Came and introduced himself right away and explained the menu - which is great!! While you think you’ll be able to eat it all - it’s lots of food - even the “small plates”. We started with speciality cocktails - fun and yummy! - the Sake to me and Herb your enthusiasm- yum yum! We started with the dragon roll - crunchy, fresh, and loved the sauce. Then we had the bang bang broccoli- wow! I think everyone would eat broccoli if they had this! And finally we had the dumplings special!! Great taste, great sauce! Even though we couldn’t finish all our food - we got the match cheesecake. Another outstanding choice!! Highly recommend!

Was intrigued to try out this vegan only restaurant. Made me realise why I’m not vegan. They try their best but every dish would have benefitted from some meat!

We enjoyed so many great restaurants while visiting Chicago but Planta Queen was definitely a highlight. My 16yo daughter is vegan while my husband & I are not, but we all loved the dishes here. Had Ahi watermelon nigiri, dragon roll, potato truffle dumplings, General Ds cauliflower - each dish was 10 out of 10. Loved my Herb My Enthusiasm cocktail & daughter loved the Matcha Mojito (alcohol free). Ended with the most delicious coconut-coffee ice cream/chia pudding sundae. Meal + the gorgeous decor blew us all away.

We enjoyed our meal at this attractive new venue on Clark Street, The all vegan menu is extensive and the small plates which we shared were very good, Our server, Amora D, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the many choices, The house mojito could use less sweetener and more alcohol, A gin & tonic was a better choice,

The hosts had bad attitudes, were unfriendly, and just seemed like they weren’t aware of what it means to be a restaurant host. Unfortunately the restaurant owner must not be aware that the people they hired for this job have no clue about hospitality. Visit was July 5th late afternoon.

In Chicago for business and went with 2 friends on a Tuesday evening that are vegetarian and I'm not, so I would certainly not be a party pooper and try it. I am not a big meat carnivore, mainly preferring sushi and chicken. Ordered the bang bang broccoli and chili garlic tofu. Food was presented nicely and the bang bang broccoli was decent but not particularly good. The chili garlic tofu was SO bland - watery and literally zero flavor with a stingy helping of wet, soppy tofu. I was going to ask for salt/pepper but that's a sure sign you don't like your meal and didn't want my friends to know I was not enjoying my dinner. So I finished up but was still hungry. Nothing worse that paying a lot for a meal and wanting to eat again. Very disappointing, would certainly not recommend or try again.

First, this restaurant is located in the River North area of Chicago, which is just a fun, cool place. It's walkable to the Mag Mile without being right there, so a bit removed from all the hustle. I had tried to reserve a table and was having issues with Resy so I reached out the restaurnat via the email on the website. They promptly replied back to me and helped me get a reservation. I was so pleased with the service and that interaction! When we got to the restaurant we were warmly greeted and shown to a nice corner table. I would have loved one of the curved booths, but they were set for 4 people, but if you are going with a group, I would suggest asking for one of those, they looked fun! Our server was polite and well informed and answered all of our questions with poise and grace. The menu is amazing, everything looked so good, so we had hard choices to make. We got several of the handrolls, the Bao, the Lettuce Wraps and the Cauliflower. The Bao and the Cauliflower were the stars. So good! Our experience at Planta was one of the best dining experineces of our lives. Thank you Planta!!

Vegans, don’t miss this place! Bring your non-vegan friends - they’ll love it! I came alone for lunch, without reservations, and was treated to a wonderful corner table. Reasonably-priced delicious food in a lovely, slightly upscale setting. I had a dragon roll as well as the Pad Thai slaw, a salad with pad Thai flavors - both were wonderful as was the green juice I ordered. The lunch portions were big enough that I took half of it home for lunch the next day. And it was all still delicious a day later. Victor, my server, was delightful, responsive, and helpful. Stop in!

We enjoyed our meal very much. We had THAI LETTUCE WRAPS and loved it. The server was kind and helpful. We will come back!!

Wow! My daughter has been vegan for 6 years. We have been to vegan restaurants in Chicago, New York, & California. This is by for the BEST VEGAN RESTAURANT ever!! Not only is the food delicious, the drinks are exceptional. The atmosphere is the best we've ever had at a vegan restaurant. Elegant yet relaxed. Good for casual stop or a special occasion. Service was great. Would highly recommend the BAO SLIDER, CALIFLOWER TOTS, UDON NOODLES, & TRUFFLE FRIED RICE. For drinks, try the SAKE TO ME & the CUCUMBER MULE (non-alcoholic).

The food here was so good that you wouldn't even know it was vegan. I am not a vegan (I am a pescatarian) but I left the place feeling well-fed for sure. Lots of small plates. A nice wine list and mixed drinks. The staff was wonderful. All in all, a great experience. Definitely check this out--even if you are not a vegan!

We enjoyed a healthy meal on a sunny Saturday but the restaurant was crowded and the service was too slow. The manager saw the situation and took care of three plates and we appreciate it. We definitely recommend this place for quality and the attitude of improving to give a better service.

LOVE LOVE LOVE! This is my 4th planta thus far, & this one is my fav! It gives all the vibes. The decor is gorg, and the food is even better. My fav was the strawberry rhubarb cake, the general d’s cauliflower, and the sweet corn dumplings. The food comes out so fast! The service is also top tier. Kira the host with the most fabulous fashions was so kind to us, and gave us the best seat in the house for two! 🤗 Michael, Anna, & Christine were so very welcoming, and made sure we had a pleasant experience also. So excited to try the brunch, we will def be back. 5 out of 5 stars. Would recommend!

Ideal cuisine for vegans. Careful and attentive service. Very friendly staff. Exceptional dishes. Absolutely worth trying. Obviously the prices are high but it's worth it. The brownie with chocolate sauce and peanuts is exceptional.

Took a chance and brought two co-workers who are not vegan here and they were blown away. Food was so amazing and presented with style. They are now making me pick restaurants whenever we travel and are open to trying more vegan food!

Celebrated my birthday at Planta Queen. I have been to and loved several locations and had been looking forward to trying out their Chicago location. I still had my AMEX RESY credit to burn and decided to do it here. The whole staff was friendly and attentive, the food fantastic (as it always is at every location). The only hiccup was, we were brought the wrong Maki rolls but were allowed to keep them (in addition to what we ordered) so no complaints at all. Bring me ALL the food! Unfortunately, all you can eat Maki Monday is over, but they do still offer $9 Maki rolls, which is a substantial discount. Planta in my home city of LA is my fave vegan restaurant in town, this place lives up to the brand. Thank you for making my birthday special!

Creative, attractive, and upscale vegan menu served in an attractive spot. Server was friendly and helpful but not overbearing. A little loud for my taste, but I’m old. Filled with People thoroughly enjoying themselves. An enjoyable experience.

Sited at a good location at River North, this Asian-themed vegetarian spinoff of the Planta Restaurant Brand is actually called Planta Queen. Good service and a classy atmosphere. I sat at the bar which boasts an appealing bar scene. Ordered a couple of seasonal offerings like the truffle miso ramen and the black diamond roll. Both were especially tasty. The torched and pressed sushi roll was outstanding, probably the MVP. I’m a bit disappointed in the unagi eggplant, it wasn’t as memorable as compared to other planta locations. The texture of the eggplant was way too obvious and pronounced rather than creamy and subtle. Still it was overall a good meal! Make sure to sign up for the rewards app bc the program is actually quite good (free roll or $5 off coupon)

Excellent vegan restaurant. The ambience was great. Staff was wonderful and food fantastic. We had the broccoli, cauliflower, and Singapore noodles. Plenty of food for two. We also split the Black Forest dessert sundae. We had a couple drinks. I ordered a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu which was our only hiccup. It was wrong but good. I didn’t mention it. So excited to go to the one in Toronto next!
