First time visiting San Antonio. The food from Pluckers wasa awesome. Service was great. The manager was a gentleman from San Antonio by way of Va. Great personality and assured me that I would not be disappointed. I am.a foodie and at best a critic. Thanks and keep up the standards. Respectfully, Kent.

Visiting from Clearwater Florida with my buddy we stopped to have wings at pluckers unbelievable. if you want to go to a place and get great service great wings and cold beer this is the best place to watch if sporting event ever Angela did a wonderful job and all her team supported her

Great place to have Dinner and drinks. Our waitress Alyssa was awesome and helped us select our drinks and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. Thank you for the great experience! Will definitely be back!

I was with a group of 9 people who decided to give this place a try. It was a mistake. We were told that if we sat outside that we could be seated. We accepted the suggestion for outside because the inside was packed and extremely loud. It was akin to being inside a small and crowded gym with everyone screaming. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. The appetizer came. No drinks. Then we waited 15 more minutes. No drinks. We asked a hostess, and she told us she could not do anything because she was not our waiter. We asked her to get our waiter. Something that should not have had to have been said. Then she disappeared. 10 more minutes. No drinks. Finally, further after that, they came. We then waited another 30 minutes and no food. It was over 1 hour and no food. The food finally came which came without the waiter, but a group of others who were actively disagreeing with each other about whose food was whose. That was nice to see (Sentence dripping with sarcasm). Then three of our entrees were either wrong or did not come at all. Mine was stale and cold. The fries were stale like they were cooked over an hour before they were served. The wings, I figured wings at a wings place was safe which was a mistake, were cold like they were sitting for at least 45 minutes. They were room temperature. The dip had a brown film on it. That looked like the dressing was placed in the cup yesterday and left out. It was fortunate that two gentlemen in Pluckers shirts asked after us otherwise the food for some of the table would not have come nor would I have gotten food cooked less than an hour ago. They told us to give them 5 minutes. Well...15-20 minutes later the food came. I showed one of them the dip at that time and he looked like he did not understand. I had to explain how milk based products tend to turn after a time. We left, late, unhappy, uncompensated, and missing a meeting. We figured that 1 and 1/2 hours would be fine for lunch, Nope. I will admit though, when the wings came hot and fresh were flavorful. Still, too expensive for that kind of service or quality. They have a real problem with workflow and kitchen. I saw at least 20 people in Pluckers shirts. While I am at it, there were two women who were conducting interviews right near us for the restaurant. Apparently they were someone important, but they did not care about the food nor service. This is a definite NEVER GO until they get their act together. I can understand how Pluckers has expanded because the food, when you finally get it fresh, tastes pretty good. I might try it 6 months from now if they are open. That should give them time to clean up their act. Wing stores in San Antonio are more than a dime a dozen. They need to try harder.

We wanted to bring our out of town friend here because our first experience was phenomenal and we told the manager (she was just as great as the waitress)! Monday evening was the opposite; so disappointing. The wait for the food was very long and when it arrived it was not hot; the place wasn't even busy yet. (The whole evening 5-7, took 2 hours for just a drink and wings). The waiter (although pleasant) did not pay attention to what was and wasn't ordered. Brought a second drink when none was ordered. The sauce for wings were suppose to be on the side, so it had to be corrected and it took a while. Wanted blue cheese, arrived with ranch. Manager came over (different from the first time) asked about food and corrected the wings with sauce but really didn't seem to think there was an issue and didn't even try to make things right.

This place is very rude to customers. We had a party of 8, our reservation was for 7:45pm and didn’t get seated until almost 9. We had a drink each at the bar. We came in from California to enjoy good family time. Never disrespected or bothered anyone. Once at the table the manager literally told us we could not order drinks anymore, not even knowing what we had at that point. This was humiliating and completely out of place. This was my first and last time at this very poorly ran establishment. If you have a policy or rule that doesn’t permit you to serve more than so many drinks, you should post or tell people!

Went on a Friday. Was very busy but we able to sit at the bar. Staff was quick to serve our drinks. Had wings lunch special. Wings were dry and waffle fries were cold. It's very noisy inside. Lots of TVs. I was expecting more from the wings. Just glad we didnt have to wait and be disappointed.

The wait staff was wonderful and the boneless wings that I tried were good. We arrived as they opened and a line had already formed. I was disappointed that my waffle fries were cold since we were some of the first customers of the day.

Another pluckers put a extra tip but kids eat free that was just not cool I'm gonna take a break from eating out that is just to much .

There was no wait We sat on patio. Service was good The food was on tap! The best cheese sticks were really good. Son loved the boneless wings. Sweet tea was good!

It’s been years since I’ve visited Pluckers…Decades ago in Austin to be exact. Sat at the bar first at the 410 location. Had an app and the small plates to accompany were handed to me as clean. Due to debris left stuck to the clean plate I pushed one aside and decided to not even use the other as it was still not up to par … decided to use the basket as plate. Then at the table I made it to the bottom of the plate before I realized there were three hairs (2 short and one long … and not mine) on the plate. The meal was comped, but no manager came by to discuss and told the young waiter to relay the message that I should tell them about the hair upon noticing it and not eating the meal first. Ummm… of course it was stated when it was noticed. Who in their right mind would just keep munching away with 3 stray hairs on their plate?!? The manager and waiter must have friends with hair in food fetiches. First and last time there. It’s a shame. The chicken was actually good before I noticed the dude hair.

My son wanted to have lunch at this restaurant, so we gave it a try. It was an excellent choice. The wings were delicious. The customer service was great. Come early because it gets full.

The wings were tasty and the appetizers were great especially the fried cheese sticks. The best is that you can order just the flats for the wings

We arrived at 1105am Saturday and was seated immediately, but the place was packed by 1130am! Upon leaving at 1215pm, there were probably 30-40 people waiting to be seated. We weren't impressed with the food or the prices, so we have no reason to return. Myranda was our friendly server and comped us an appetizer since it was our first visit to Pluckers. We enjoyed the fried pickle spears. First disconnect...no breaded wings! They have breaded boneless chicken nuggets, but no breaded wings or breaded drumettes. Hubby ordered naked wings - 10 wing combo - $14.25. Second disconnect...we were charged 60 cents for 2 ounces of blue cheese dressing that we didn't order, mentioned that to the server when it was delivered to our table separately from our food, but it was still on the bill and then we had to ask for it to be removed. I ordered the chopped BBQ chicken salad $11. It was fairly bland.

Service was good but wings were cold and overcooked. For a restaurant that specializes in wings this should be a no brained but their wings are terrible.

This restaurant is located directly on the frontage road between UTSA Blvd. and Loop 1604 on the North side of IH10. It was our first visit here and we thought there would be some restrictions due to the state of the nation right now with COVID-19. But we got there and found more people than we expected and then rather than seating guests far apart as possible they were seating as usual and the lunch hour appeared to be normal with quite a few customers. And all getting seated table to table by the booths all next to each other. We were waited on promptly and the menu was wet so assuming they had washed it. There was a good variety of chicken items on the menu and they do offer a lunch menu as well BUT we felt the pricing was a bit high for lunch specials. The Larry Bird was grilled chicken in your choice of sauce with a side for $10.50 with no drink and the Naked Boneless dish was three grilled tenders with a side for $11.50 and no drink. The order to longer than expected to arrive and then one side was wrong and they had brought a separate order of a side that we didn't even order. They offered to correct it but we knew it would just get thrown away so kept it. All the food was fresh with the grilled tenders being cooked perfect and the tots were crispy but soft. The Larry Bird was a little messy and really not too big. While we were eating I noticed an employee take a rolled up rug and lay it down between the bathrooms and then rather than go into the bathroom and wash his hands he proceeded back to the dining room and bar area. Now maybe he used sanitizer after he was out of sight but seems more appropriate to have washed hands well with all that is going on. The place is large and has a large bar section with tables and stools and then a dining section that has tables and booths. There are TV's just about everywhere you look and most are quite large and all on sports that I saw. But again I assume it is a sports bar atmosphere. The music was annoying but otherwise the noise level wasn't terrible. For the price and the atmosphere we would not return as there are soooo many chicken places in town closer to where we live and that we like better at half the price.

Not @ all impressed . I’ve been to the pluckers in San Marcos which was nice . My friend & I decided to sit @ the bar . The bartender wasn’t the nicest . We ordered an appetizer & our food . We got our entree before our appetizer. My wings & fries were cold . I grabbed a manager who took my food back . The appetizer arrived it was ok ( the cheese sticks ) . I got my food back & it was warm not hot . Wing stop is so much better . I won’t be back

We were a group of 8. Not sure how it happened but we were seated within 5 minutes! That was PURE LUCK especially since we were told it would take about 45 minutes. The chicken was great. The options are great. The fried pickles were wonderful. The fried mushrooms were great. Thre waffle fries and tater tots were great. We love it! We hope you love it too!

First visit to Pluckers, overall left with a generally good impression - will go back, but try to avoid the lunch/dinner rushes, as the kitchen appears to have a hard time keeping up. We arrived early in the lunch period (1115am), ordered pretty quickly, and still wound up waiting nearly half an hour for our food to come out. Wait staff was friendly and efficient. I had regular wings, which were fried a bit too long for my taste, but still edible. The Gold Rush sauce is good for those who don't want anything too spicy. I upgraded my side from chips/fries to mac & cheese for $1.75 - good choice! Others in my group had the boneless wings (tenders) which looked very impressive (massive), and next time I go, that's probably what I'll order.

Sam and mgr Victoria were extremely helpful meeting our needs. Super customer service. Great fried cheese. We wanted to watch a particular football game and it was no problem.

Ugh, this review hurts me to write. I’ve been a loyal Pluckers Member since before they offered memberships and the original 2 owners opened their very first location. In my line of work I’d entertain clients at Pluckers spending thousands each time. I’ve also been on the “Wall Plaque” twice, considering the amounts I’ve spent supporting an overall incredible restaurant that has grown. Fast forward to 2 days ago. Listen, it’s pretty bad. Each time I’ve gone, including weekends, any location I’ve visited is really dead… but hey, better resting and I get yo watch the game I want, not bad. However, the prices have really gone insane to the point I just don’t feel I’m getting what I’m paying for. Keep in mind, I’ve even donated to Pluckers Employee Day where they close every store to host a huge competition and was even fortunate to have attended one way back in the day. I’ve created relationships with their upper management and I’m just heartbroken. The culture has changed and the prices have considerably increased. So, 2 days ago, we went, family and friends. A table of 5 and went on to order our food. Here’s the kicker, I never look at the prices, but this made me stop when I saw the bill. As usual, I asked for a printout I hate the digital boxes and have too often been overcharged. Here’s the breakdown, $27.00 for 15 wings and no side, $21.00 for a 10 wing combo … so on and so forth. Now, I may love wings but it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that for $8.00 more, you can be having filet minon . Adding to this is a $300 bill, 2 tall Coors Lights = $19…. What? And $21 for 2 Batman’s… ok, I get that, It’s got vodka in it. Moving on my husband, after 4 hours and eating asks for another Coors, and was turned down saying Pluckers limits its tall beers to 2, but you can get a pint if you’d like…. Again, what? It’s been 4 hours and we are within TABC serving rules. To mention each time we’ve gone, the AC is broken, theirs zero options to sit on the patio because they don’t allow it according to them, and the waitstaff is more concerned about getting their fly swatting eyelashes on correctly or to busy with their phones. But even with all of that, I still dismissed it. To say that I love Pluckers is an understatement. To the 10’s of thousands spent every few years to the memories, relationships and my full support, I just can’t support this organization anymore. People are struggling to buy groceries and Pluckers has jumped on board to take advantage.

Wings were full of gristle....I had to spit out on all but 2. The sauces were good....but get good chicken. The fries were cold and the tater tots were cold. Won't be back.

This was a great choice for dinner on a Friday night. Get there early as they fill up and there is always a wait after 5pm. The food was good and service was great. Louder atmosphere with music and TVs everywhere. Don't miss the cheese sticks. Burgers were great as are the sandwiches and salads. Definitely will go back. Oh yeah they run awesome beer specials.

My son wanted to try this place, so we had dinner there last night. We sat outside to avoid waiting for a table inside. They need to add some sort of roller shades, because the sun was shining directly in on the tables and in our eyes. Our sever was friendly but the food was very slow. If the kitchen was working efficiently, I doubt there would gave been a wait for a table. I had the impossible burger which arrived with a stale bun and cold tater tots. My son had wings and waffle fries. Overall, I felt the food was overpriced and underwhelming.

I do not think that this place is following the rules in terms of spacing people out, so I am glad that we ordered curbside and had it brought out to us. We ate in our car as we are from out of town. The burgers and sandwiches are massive. We really could have shared one. The wings were good but hot, was hot and we couldn't eat many of them. The Dr pepper wings were good as well as their homemade potato chips.

Staying at the Marriott across the highway from this restaurant my co worker and i wanted to give it a try as we both like wings. The wings were good and it was nice that the server brought out samples of the sauces since we didn't know what they tasted like. I had the wings with the Hallelujah sauce and it was very good. The store made blue cheese dressings was also great. The tater tots though need improvement as when you go to pick them up they fall apart.

We had a lunch special and really enjoyed everything. I had some fried pickles to start that were excellent. For main I had buffalo hot wings and lattice fries, wings were amazing, with good heat. The lattice fries were a little cold but were okay.
Night Out
The food was great, sizes were good portions and the taste was satisfying. As a matter of fact my husband ordered a Chech and Chung sandwich and he had enough for a second meal.
